Team CFVY - Vacuo Designs Redux

Hey peeps!

Look! I did a thing!! Holy shit!

I finished reading After the Fall a while ago, but I wanted to update my CFVY redesigns because I decided that the original piece looked wonky and I had literally no idea what I was doing

So we’re back now with some updated Huntsmen & Huntresses-in training, this time with accurate heights and some fun design adjustments

It may just be that I spent almost 30 hours on this project, but I’m so genuinely proud of how each of these turned out. I don’t have any favorites design, and I think that’s a good thing

Next up I plan on making a redesign of Carmine and an actual design for Bertilak, so stay tuned for that :P

Yatsuhashi Tsukumo appears during Benben's dialogue in stage 4a and Benben Tsukumo appears during Yatsuhashi's dialogue in stage 4b of Double Dealing Character, although in both cases they leave before the fight starts.

Tasty nama-yatsuhashi from a friend in Kyoto! The outside is a delicate mochi dough and the inside is rough red bean paste. He chose us the two classic flavors, matcha and nikki, and both are delicious.

If you've followed for a while, you've definitely heard me complain about matcha desserts but I'm finding that the less sweet they are, the more likely I am to enjoy them. Which, after 13 years here, is a very welcome development! Here, it's the filling that's sweetened and the dough that's flavored, so maybe that makes a difference.

That said, nikki is my absolute favorite of all nama-yatsuhashi! Why? Because, above all, I am a dirty Westerner and this is one of the few traditional Japanese things that's made with CINNAMON. Well, cinnamon is made from the bark of the tree and nikki from the root, but it tastes the same to me, and I fuckin love it, man.
