ok now that i caught up on a few asks (ill be back later!!) i got an awful awful omegaverse detail to share. i really like the omegaverse au rezero takes on here, yall have such interesting ideas. but okay i got one—

otto should be an alpha.

OKAY now hear me out for a second. i 1000% agree that otto being a beta makes absolute perfect sense. even though his personality is kinda loud sometimes, hes usually just kinda There. you know? hes always in the support role and he usually doesnt draw attention to himself. always stuck in the background and in the shadows 👍 he also wants a nice comfortable life. hes wanted to fit in throughout childhood. he takes care not to make others hate him (unless hes being impulsive/reckless). etc etc.

he knows that he fits the beta role to a T. thats why if he was anything BUT a beta, he’d be pretending to BE a beta.

this is because otto being an alpha exacerbates all the issues he develops by the time you get to arc 8. because otto is THE worst person to be an alpha. he doesnt fit the stereotype and the usual alpha at all. hes not very powerful. hes easy to make fun of and humiliate. hes not very dominant either. he tries to say all sorts of stuff in arc 8 and assert his place there and more than half the time he gets shrugged off because hes being dumb and no ones gonna do some of the shit he says. hes got a gazillion different complexes now about being useless and about being Secondary and he gets desperate so hes like “well i can walk in darkness though. im useful!! i swear!! this is what i can do!! everyone else is wrong!!”

so of course otto would pretend hes not an alpha because he is The complete opposite of what the “perfect” alpha should be. as hes growing up he would be like judged for that sort of thing, you know? and then he’d decide its more convenient to go on blockers or whatever and pretend to be a beta because betas are Normal. betas dont get noticed that much. not much is expected of you besides being the Support, right? depending on how you wanna interpret omegaverse politics wkdnd. and ottos like oh yeah. i wanna be seen as normal. and if i cant be a good alpha, if i cant be what an alpha should be, im gonna be a good alpha via playing the support role!! and theyll all know im dependable and useful and theyll need me and i can revel in the fact that they dont know im an alpha!! but im outplaying them!! i got them to need me!! my tactics have made ME the secret alpha controlling everything!! this is perfect!! im a good alpha!! i came out on top still!!! this is great!!

i wanna talk about mcr's performance of sleep at mexico city in 2022 cause it means so much to me and ive GOTTA get this out of my brain before autism makes me explode !!

During this performance, i wanna start by talking about HOW important gerards use of vocal pedals are!! cause holy shit it changed my life and its opened up this whole realm of inspiration and ideas for me musically.

I write music a lot and im really trying to pursue it, but as a trans guy and a soprano its hard to use my voice in a way that feels right. cause like...i CAN sing but uts hard to use my voice in interesting ways when sometimes dysphoria makes it feel like my voice isnt MINE. I cant go on T for the foreseeable future cause of family reasons and financial ones...and i live in the UK so accessing gender affirming care is like splitting the atom sometimes, but i have stuff to say and ideas i want to use in my music, and im tired of waiting. trans people end up spending so much of their life waiting anyway, and i want to start doing something now.

I have ideas and i need to get them out cause sometimes i feel like they are eating me cause im so excited about doing something with my brain and my life ya know?

Thats where the vocal pedals come in, a way to manipulate my voice so uts still mine but ut sounds REALLY freaking cool!! you can express so much and di so many cool things with them, and dont get me wrong, people have been using them for YEARS, but live? you see it SO MUCH LESS and its SO POWERFUL.

so the pedals plus gerards performance style, which is emotional and raw but visibly you know its fun and interesting artistically to explore those emotions at this point in their career and i feel so inspired by it.

i want also mention the joan of arc of it all, cause of gerards connection to joan of arc it adds another layer to the performance as a whole on every level. and its SO special to me.

honestly might do a whole post about joan of arc cause i could talk about her and what she means in society and represents and her whole story and stuff for literally hours.

but in summary, holy fuck is this performance REALLY FREAKING COOL!!

i know u like micheal stuff so im gonna talk ab him in the adult au as a treat mwahahah. mike is about 29 when he dies and he passes away in summer right before evans birthday. that year evan doesn’t celebrate his birthday (not that he every really did after.. yk..) and instead has mikes funeral on that day. inside his coffin, there’s a foxy mask lying over his hands. he always hated that stupid mask and what it represented, but the pain it caused got to die with him. 6 feet under, mike is buried. and to be honest, i think he would’ve thought that all the problems he caused would just go away once he was dead? like everything would just be normal. but its not, and without him alive still, it REALLY will never be.

i dont wanna say much about how mike dies becuase im not super sure myself but i know its rlly personal and uh.. yeah. eventually ill get the courage to write it lmao.

MERGEBAND WOOOOOOOOOOO. ok yeah so charlie and mike fight a lot honestly. mike is more carefree and he just.. doesn’t care? like he just slacks off, doesn’t learn his music, breaks instruments and causes financial difficulties, and charlie is the exact opposite of that. she’s organized and cautious and careful and absorbed in her music and practices. they butt heads a lot because mike never does anything and hes still kinda a dick to everyone but especially her, and she has a thin barrier over her tolerance of that stuff. she yells at him and kicks him out of practice, which not only stresses evan out but it also sets them back whenever they want to practice. THEY ARE SO SILLY AND DUMB RAHHHHHHH
