"Rather than filming the tell-all interview at his and Meghan Markle's $14m Montecito mansion, the Duke instead made the one-hour journey to the exclusive San Ysidro Ranch in California."

Prince Harry and Anderson filmed their interview in the spacious, open-plan living room, where a brick fireplace takes center stage.
The Duke of Sussex was placed in front of a floor-to-ceiling bookcase — but out of the shot, there is a quaint seating area in one of the bay windows.
It also where Meghan Markle posed up a storm for her Variety magazine covershoot last year. In Meghan's Variety article, the San Ysidro Ranch was described as: 'A low-key old luxury resort with simple bungalows tucked into a mountainside overlooking the Pacific coast.'

Ah, there he is - her gorgeous man. He looks extra soft on the other side of the laptop screen.
'You're a bit blurry, babe'
'Bad connection, sorry. Not your end though. You're as beautiful as ever. Wifey'
'Oh, stop it'. Rey blushes, tucking her short hair behind her ear.
She misses him so. Really needs her husband back home, but she has to put on a brave face. Pretend she's fine. It's important he be there.
'So, tell me. How's it all going?'

Favorite kind of week: Zoom calls, books and checklists
Update for week 18th Nov - 24th Nov
Started my visa application for my upcoming Europe trip (the Workshop is for a week and the location is lovely!). Made a checklist and applied for permission from the university, printed all the forms and collecting other documents. I love the task, but it drains me a bit!
I'm working on a collaborative project with quite an international team and we had our first discussion meeting this week. Excited!
Met with my mentor from the Supernova Foundation (a mentoring network for women in Physics). She's ao insightful and conversing with her always gives me a big picture and a lot of clarity. So grateful for her ♥️
Read a book after a loooong time. It's The Running Grave by Robert Galbraith. I've been waiting for the book's release but couldn't get my hands on a copy sooner. Absolutely enjoyed the read and felt so alive (I missed reading!)

"Mostly we were just having a really crap time," said Viv when I spoke to them, about their meeting life before Cowboys. "We were having to deal with all those Zoom and Skype meetings and emails and phone calls... and we were just feeling worse and worse and more annoyed all the time." Minecraft was considered, apparently, but people tended to just wander off and start digging, or dumping gravel on the meeting table, "so picking the most ludicrous game to meet in seemed good."
But then, as it turned out, it wasn't quite as ridiculous as expected. "The thing is," Viv explained, "the Cowboys just look right when they're sitting around the campfire? They look like they're in a meeting: scratching noses and frowning, and occasionally gesturing."

“Hello? Can you hear me?”
“Oh, wait, I forgot my water. brb!”
“I’m back…. Ooops, I tilted the camera. Haha…. Gimme a sec….” (fumbles with filter)
“Morning..!!” (Oooops, too much filter)
(Dolly, probably, on her early Monday morning Zoom meetings. 😆)

Forcing workers to turn cameras on for Zoom calls breaches human rights, Court rules
Forcing workers to turn cameras on for Zoom calls breaches human rights, Court rules
A court has ruled that asking employees to constantly keep their webcams on while working remotely, could constitute a human rights violation.
The ruling which happened in the Netherlands comes after an American software company, Chetu, fired a Dutch employee working remotely for refusing to keep his webcam on for ‘8 hours per day’.
According to reports from the Netherlands, the employee took…

a little more information regarding the maui wildfires:
medical workers on the ground are describing finding hundreds of bodies. the current death toll in the media is, unfortunately, only a fraction of the reality
hospital workers are describing injuries and trauma as if survivors had come out of a warzone
thousands are still missing
an apartment complex for the elderly was lost. not everyone could get out. people were saying goodbye to loved ones over the phone
people who did get out of lahaina were leaving with ashes covering their faces and nothing but the clothes on their backs. people are losing everything.
hotels are still operating. hotels are still operating. they are not the ones offering shelters or housing or food. even bowling alleys are offering shelter, but hotels have the audacity to build on burial sites but not open their doors to local families who have lost everything.
