Something I love about Spider-Man as a character: even if there's no big villain to fight, he's still a hero.

On days when there's no crime at all, he's out helping someone carry their groceries or giving directions to someone who's lost. He doesn't need anything negative to fight; he's just actively trying to make the world a safer, kinder, better place. That's what makes him a hero.

When getting ready to leave Miles noticeably only says bye to Gwen directly and not Peter. While this is likely a narrative call back to Gwen saying goodbye to Miles when she couldn’t see him and now sees the weight of saying goodbye to him forever on bad terms, it can be interpreted that he still does not want to say goodbye to Peter despite everything.

Peter was one of the only Spidermen that while chasing him was never really perusing him or trying to sway his mindset and it’s likely Miles recognizes this despite the hurt and betrayal he still feels towards him.
