The Verd - Frozen Victoria
"Once the pearl of the Norvascan Empire, Victoria was the capital of a long-standing civilization of island clansfolk, who enjoyed peace and prosperity in their time.
But come the Resurgence, cold winds worsened, and soon the ever-growing Dreadwinds swept across the islands; instantly freezing everything the winds came across. Victoria was abandoned, and in time the Norvascan isles became a protectorate under the Caden Empire.
Today Victoria is slowly being reclaimed and excavated by Caden's endless supply of prisoners from all over the Empire, who have been sent to Norvasca to various penal colonies, in an effort to repopulate the once prosperous pearly isles."

The Verd - Cloudtemple
"Cloudtemple is the largest active independent temple in Xim. In its tranquil halls it hosts a number of various traditional schools of Spiritualism, and trains its vast number of Spiritualists who will one day venture out by themselves to exorcise evil spirits, or assist souls in finding their way to the Final Gates.
Cloudtemple was built beneath the gaze and protection of one of Xim's many forgotten Guardians; ancient beings whom once protected the islands of Xim, until their souls were one day all turned into gargantuan Jade statues."

The Verd - Sea of Leviathans
"The Leviathan Archipelago gets its name mainly from the many gargantuan, primordial fossils and bones strewn about the many, many isles. It also gets its name because many such leviathans still move between the isles; lurking within the dark, green depths.
Admittedly these seabeasts are mere minor shadows compared to the leviathan fossils, but one could be forgiven for believing that in the deepest abyss, such world-ending monsters could still exist; asleep and still, until the day someone is foolish enough to disturb them.
The islands themselves were only made known some 100 years ago, when they appeared out of the ocean mists common to the southern Stormseas of the Farthest East. Ximese sailors navigated the archipelago, and discovered the route to the continent of Kinthai, otherwise also known as Kildara to the non-Ximese world.
It didn't take long after until expeditionary fleets from the Old Verd arrived to claim what they could, but the sudden influx of so many different peoples led to the Leviathan Archieplago becoming quite lawless, which in turn gave rise to corsairs and pirates of the Vandressi Armada, who dominate the Sea of Leviathans."

The Verd - Solar System
"Shortly before his disappearance, the famous philosopher, explorer, engineer, and machinist Calvo Galvan, left behind several pieces of nonsensical writings, insane scribblings, and incomplete schematics; known collectively as Galvan's Code. Among these was a map of the Heavens, or rather, a map of the nearby celestial bodies and stars.
During Galvan's time of the 1100s, astronomic studies were still in a catch-up phase, as the general understanding of universe and cosmos had yet to surpass that of the ancient Asharic's observations of the stars, and the Astral mysteries of Old Narumad were still largely unknown to us. How, then, did Galvan manage to transcend his astronomic knowledge so easily? With no tools or modern studies to assist him, even.
The Royal Astral Oratory has since the discovery of Galvan's Solar Map dedicated their lifetimes in identifying, confirming, and expanding his observations; to the point of obsessive madness, as not even Queen or Ministry can convince them to share all of their findings.
What they apparently witness in the stars, beyond Galvan's Notes, is not meant for human eyes, and they guard their found secrets warily from innocent, curious eyes; for only -they- , the Royal Astrologians, can withstand and know the universe's true cosmic truths and terrors."

The Verd - Outskirts of Kir-01
"An outlying Steam Farm near the settlement of Kir-01, provided with a Steam Thumper. It is one of of many similar farms, whose purpose is to "terraform" the cold and hard terrain of the Iron Kingdoms, to provide suitable farmland.
Additionally, the largest of these farms often produce enough steam to be stored within specialized iron barrels, capable of subsistently preserving the steamed heat within to create Steam Canisters.
Thus, the use of Steam Farms has grown more common throughout the Iron Kingdoms hinterland territories across Arcantis, more-so because of the steam canisters themselves, rather than the reclaimed land.
Steam Canisters can be applied to many uses, from common household maintenace to industrial refinement, but one will find them used most of all in military contexts, where they serve as the fuel for iron Steam-Machines and Iron Suits."

The Verd - Navarath, City of Diamonds
"Navarath is one of the three sister-cities of the Kadacian Sea; capitals of trade and exoticism of the Caden Empire. Navarathine diamonds are so widely treasured, that they are almost like an inedible delicacy; reserved by the most affluent acquirers, and lustfully desired by all with none, to the point of vexing fixation and madness.
Diamonds are part of everything and anything in Navarath; from the gems embedded into the very streets and lights in delicate and attractive patterns, to silken clothing with diamond dust woven into them, to the countless shops and stores around the city, each with their own signature designs of cut and repurposed diamond paraphernelia.
And of course, most of all one will find diamonds upon the necks, wrists, and fingers of affluent ladies, whose gleam and glint of their eyes reflect in the shine of the white gems; awashed of the blood-cost to attain them, be it from the mines or the hands of unfortunate past-owners.
It is said that in Navarath, diamonds are a girl's best friend, but a woman's deadliest weapon."

The Verd - World Map
"For Queen, for Empire, for Radiance.
Nightmarish Devils and Dark Strangers walk beside us and hide in magicked shadows. Many lands remain forever cast under night and darkness, as Eternal Storms rage on without end or regret, while Minutes and Hours themselves cease to obey their own Laws.
Murderous Princesses, drunk on brilliant Lustre, compete for scraps and birthright, as Radiant Empress looks down upon them and their Game, knowing that one day hers will end too. And in-between it all; the low yet loud whispers of an ancient, long-forgotten being, shrouded in void, cold malice, and twisted madness, corrupt the minds of the frail and strong alike.
But still, Mankind has endured these new realities. New technologies and discoveries found through perseverance and talent, has led the Modern World into an era of electrical industry, to supernatural revelations obtained from study and new philosophies, and to the rise of the Candle Faith and its promised Radiance; which seeks to grant commoners and high-born alike safety from the Darkest Nights, and even still some small comfort from the whispers in the dark depths of Mankind's broken mind."

The Verd - Road to Carnach
"The journey to Carnach is cleary marked, but still only the most skilled guides and travelers ever manage to reach the Reborn Kingdom, all the way out in the middle of the distant sands.
Along the way are many dangers, from burrowing Hivebeasts to nomad bandits who lurk in the ruins of the Old Kingdom.
Such ruins can sometimes be observed more clearly in a ghostly emerald hue, as the phenomenon known as the Spectral Kingdom ressurects the visage of Old Narumad in its past, grand glory for all to witness."

Quetzula, Nua of Winds
"Nua of Winds, the Discoverer, Navigator of the Great Weave, Forever-Queen of Quetzula-Across-the-Seas, Keeper of the Wayfinder Star, the Jade-Cursed"
As one of the Nua, Quetzula's physical Vessel had long perished many centuries before the Ashen Era. But even so, she is still considered one of the most powerful among the Nua, despite being bound in an ethereal Shroud. To compensate for her lack of a Vessel of her own, she makes use of Kindred mortals, whose minds and Vessel she can possess, and in doing so she continues to rule over the Empire she built centuries ago. When a Kindred's Vessel falters, new candidates are picked to allow Quetzula to reign eternally as Queen.
