What If 1x07 was the perfect example of crack treated seriously. Because nothing really made sense, specially with the premise of the show that is canon-divergent. But I'm not going to talk about how all those characters coming to Earth and being on good terms with each other didn't make sense(Surtur suddenly doesn't want to destroy Asgardians? Other species don't hate Asgard or vise versa? Asgard is not racist for some reason? Specially against Jotuns?), or the fact that the characterization felt really off specially for Jane. Instead I'm going to mention some of inconsistencies about Loki and the first Thor movie which all of MCU has collectively forgotten about its existance. Because as much as I enjoyed Jotun Loki(I enjoyed it a lot actually. Remind me again why we couldn't see Loki's Jotun form or a Jotun variant of him in the void or explore his internalized racism in the Loki show? smh) and his relationship with Thor(Why we couldn't see sth like that in canon!? sigh) those inconsistencies bother me.
Tumblr media
This picture looks really cute but it couldn't have happened in Thor and Loki's childhood, as it was established in Thor 1 that the Casket would turn Loki blue and into his Jotun form. In fact it was Loki's way to confirm that he is Jotun. Sth that the writers would know if they had bothered to watch Thor 1.
Jotuns were also shown to have the Casket of ancient winters but Odin had taken it from them at the end of their war.
Loki's characterization felt off too. I can rationalize it as him growing up differently. But Marvel comics has done AUs and What Ifs and Loki always feels like Loki in those. So I'm pretty sure it's MCU's recent inability to write Loki IC. But most characters felt off in this episode too, so I can look past this.
This episode did sth really interesting though, which is most probably unintentional. I expected to see a human sized Loki and I was really surprised that Loki was the same size as other Jotuns. We can say in this universe Loki isn't born smaller than other Jotuns. But The Watcher also told us that
"Instead of raising the Jotunheim prince, Loki, as his own son, Odin returned him to his people."
With a picture that shows Laufey and other Jotuns are clearly happy about it.
Tumblr media
So either Loki wasn't too small and Odin couldn't "adopt" him or the size wasn't an issue to begin with and Loki(or Jotuns) could shapshift to match other Jotun's height. We know for a fact that Loki is a shapeshifter.
And if the latter is the case, it basically confirms the headcanon that Loki, who was left in a temple along with Jotunheim's most valuable treasure which was the Casket, wasn't left to die. So Odin hadn't adopted him, he had stolen Loki from his parents and his home. This gives Laufey's lines in Thor 1 a whole new meaning.
"Your father is a murder and a thief!"
"You know not what your actions would unleash, I do."
And it also makes so much sense why Odin thought he could bring a permanent peace through Loki. Because why would Jotuns accept him if he was left to die? But they would have accepted him if he was the rightful heir to Jotunheim's throne.
But I'm sure the writers didn't think of all that when they were writing a crack episode.

princely duties | AU-gust Day 9: Royalty AU
AU-gust masterlist
i know this is a bit late but ive been really busy all of yesterday and today. but it’s here now so enjoy!!
“Royal balls are such a bore, aren’t they?” (from this prompt list)
//
Thor Odinson, Crown Prince of the Realm of Asgard, Brother of Loki the Silvertongue, son to Frigga the Kind and Odin the Great, was known for a great many things.
He was known for his great looming stature, stranding tall and proud even for an Asgardian, with muscles that rippled and tensed as he walked. He was known for his illustrious hair, a thick blond mane that he'd taken a vow to never cut, braided and cascading down his shoulders in thick waves. He was known for his might on the battlefield, for the terror he struck through the heart of his enemies when he called lighting itself down to rain fire on those who dared oppose him.
He was known for being a gentle prince, for always having an ear open and the time for a pitcher of ale. He was known for the bond he had with his brother Loki - how the two of them had curled around each other at birth, his tiny fist clenched around his brother's equally tiny pinky, and never let go.
But more than any of that, Thor Odinson was known for never taking a Consort, in all his years.
"Mother," he says in a tone that attempts to belie how frustrated Thor was that the topic of discussion was yet again, his potential marriage, "I do not want a consort. I need no person by my side. I am perfectly equipped to lead Asgard on my own. What use do I have of a snake who's only wed me for the sake of climbing the social ladder?"
"Thor!" Frigga admonishes, even as Loki attempts to disguise his smile behind his pitcher, for their mother's sake more than Thor's. "I've raised you better than to talk like that."
Thor shrugs, biting into the wild boar that the Brothers Three had hunted earlier in the day, "It's the truth Mother, and you know it as well as I. I'm to sit on the Throne of Asgard, I cannot reasonably believe that anyone who sits by me is there because of me and not because of what I represent."
"I certainly didn't marry your father because he was to be King," Frigga says, and Thor instantly feels guilty for his words, even though he makes no move to take them back, "and someone out there will do you the same courtesy. You just have to be open to the possibility."
Next to him, Loki chokes on his food, and Thor extends a leg to kick him into submission. He didn't need his Mother to know of his various proclivities. The fact that she suspected he had multiple partners warming his bed at night was more than enough.
"You should listen to Mother Thor," Loki wheezes, his voice raspy from the coughing fit, "It's always good to be open to opportunities. You never know who might be the right fit."
Frigga beams at Loki, and Thor manfully resists the urge to pull a childish face at his brother.
"Enough of this talk" Odin booms, and both Thor and Loki turn as one to face their Father, "You have had many a year to find a Consort of your own, and you choose to squander your time. It is unbecoming of the Crown Prince to be unmoored, and it is only proper that you find a Consort. Since you continue to be a child and dig your heels in about this, we shall go about this the old-fashioned way."
Odin fixes his one good eye on Thor, "There will be a ball in the Palace, a week from now. People from all over the Nine Realms shall be invited, and by the end of the night - you will have chosen someone to court."
"And if I don't?" Thor asks bravely.
"Then I will not name you my Heir."
/
Thor pulled at the ends of his sleeves, shifting this way and that in front of the expansive mirror in his chambers. It wasn't that he was a stranger to the need to put on garments from the more extravagant side of his armoire, but he'd never quite gotten used to it.
He much preferred being in his breeches and covered in mud, sweat and blood. Being a warrior was in his blood, when he felt rooted and centred, and everything else felt like a farce.
There's a knock on his door but before he has so much as say, "Come In!", Loki has turned the knob and extended his own initiation.
"Had you been anyone else," he huffs, looking at his brother's reflection rather than turning to face him, "I would've had you beheaded for the arrogance to enter my chambers without my permission."
"Now that's not true," Loki says demurely. There's a flash, and where Loki was standing, is an image of his last bedpartner, a shapely woman with brunette hair that curled around her shoulders.
"Had I been this fair maiden," he continues, and even though the voice is feminine, it is still distinctly Loki, "I don't imagine I would've been mistreated so."
"I don't imagine you would be amenable to taking my cock in your mouth either," Thor says dryly, and Loki shudders predictably at the thought, "there's always exceptions to the rules." There's another flash, and Loki is back in his true form - glaring at Thor.
"You always take the fun out of everything," Loki says mulishly, "I didn't need to know what you and she did together in these rooms."
Thor shrugs, because as much as he loves his brother, he is not in the mood for a battle of wits tonight. Loki must realise this, because he softens, and walks over to place a reassuring arm on Thor's shoulders.
"If all else fails Brother," he says in complete seriousness, "I can always seek off to Jotunheim and light a fire under their asses, create enough destruction so that you may use War as an excuse to delay your search of a Consort."
Despite himself, Thor chuckles and leans his head against Loki's hand, "you would do that for me Brother?"
"I would," Loki nods, "It wouldn't be a hardship too. I've always wanted to know whether Frost Giants would truly melt under fire or they just look ice-y."
"When I am to be King," Thor says, reaching for his cloak, "Remind me never to allow you to meddle in foreign affairs."
Loki makes a face, like he wants to disagree, but can't find a good enough response for Thor's statement.
The Palace itself is resplendent, and it is clear that Mother has gone all out for the special occasion. Thor ordinarily would've loved it, had he not known what the purpose for tonight's ball was. A quick scan of the crowd proved that Father had indeed not been lying - people from all over the Nine Realms had attended. In the corner of his eye, Thor thinks he recognises the familial glimmer of Frost Giant magic, so he nudges Loki with his shoulder and points surreptitiously.
"You might get your desire after all brother," he says in a whisper, "It appears that Laufey has sent ambassadors of his own for tonight's ball."
"Now wouldn't that be a scandal?" Loki murmurs back, "if you were to take back a Frost Giant tonight? Maybe you should just to piss Father off."
Across the room, Mother is gesturing for Thor to mingle, and with a sigh - he bids Loki his leave and walks more purposefully into the hall, greeting guests of all manner. He even takes a couple of women for a spin on the dance floor, dipping them and flipping them and engaging in polite conversation before he begs off.
It goes on for close to an hour, until the monotony threatens to rot Thor's brain, and he hides away in a corner of the ballroom with a pitcher of ale, hoping that the shadows will provide him some break before his princely duties restart.
"Royal balls are such a bore aren't they?" says a voice next to him, and Thor jumps. He turns and his voice gets caught in his throat, because standing next to him with a cheeky smile, is possibly the most attractive person that Thor has ever laid his eyes on, in all of his years of existence.
"It's been a while since I've been to one," the man continues, oblivious of the thoughts currently running through Thor's head, "but I somehow convinced myself in Nidavellir that I missed this whole dog and pony show." He wrinkles his nose, and Thor is overcome with the urge to reach out and kiss it, "I can't tell if it's comforting or depressing that I've been proven wrong."
“You were on Nidavellir?” Thor says, his tongue feeling like lead in his month, “I wasn’t aware that Eitri let anyone visit the star?”
“Ah but I’m special," the man says, and there's a twinkle in his eyes, "Besides I wasn't visiting. I was there to learn." He extends a hand, and Thor reaches out to grasp it on instinct, noting how small it looks in his, "Anthony Starkison. But my friends call me Tony."
"Thor Odinson," Thor hasn't let go of his hand yet, "I'm afraid my friends don't have many creatives names for me. Although my brother does call me a brute and an idiot on occasion."
"I know who you are," Tony says, and it’s a simple statement, yet Thor feels a shiver run through him. Perhaps Father's inane idea of hosting a royal ball, wasn't so inane after all.

Pride and Prejudice
TITLE: Pride and Prejudice CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 20 AUTHOR: wolfpawn
ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine Loki was raised on Jotunheim as Laufey’s son after the war, but an agreement was then made that he would wed Odin’s daughter so Odin could secure the alliance of Jotunheim through the marriage. Loki, in turn, was raised to be king of Jotunheim, but how he views Asgard is far different from how Odin’s daughter is raised leading to a clash of cultures as well as uncertainty between the pair of betrothed youths.     RATING: Mature   NOTES/WARNINGS: Forced Marriage, not all fun and games. My first real step back into the Loki scene in over a year.

Ella walked towards Loki’s rooms apprehensively. She worried that everything was not as he was portraying and that there was something afoot that she was not aware of. Nothing made her more uncomfortable than not knowing what she was dealing with, and with Loki, she had no idea what was his situation, of how he thought, and that unnerved her. When she got to the door, she hesitated. The last time she went to those rooms, she felt as though she had been struck by Mjolnir as Loki and his brothers mocked her after one of the most miserable nights of her entire life. She forced herself to shake those memories from her mind. When she chose to walk back to Loki and ask him if things would be different, when she walked towards her father and defied his command to return to Asgard, she chose to leave that moment in the past. She chose to not hold onto it, now she had to honour that choice that she herself, willfully made. Inhaling deeply, she knocked on the door and waited with bated breath.
When Loki opened it, she gave a polite smile and curtsied slightly. “Your Highness.”
Loki felt a tightness in his throat at her manner. Come in, please.” She passed him and entered the rooms. “Also, I think it best if you address me simply by my name. It does not seem right, since we are attempting to do this right, also, I do not wish to give the impression I am…” “Of course, I understand.” Ella nodded. She looked around apprehensively.
“Are you alright?” Loki was unsure what was causing her to be so wary.
“Yes, fine. But I have to ask, why did you invite me here?” She spoke quickly, almost too quickly.
Loki could barely understand what she said with the pace she spoke. “For dinner, to simply speak with you. If we are to try and make this work, if we are to not repeat past mistakes, we must become more in tune with one another, and that cannot occur if we rarely see one another.” “That is true.”
“Why are you so suspicious?”
“Because I do not know you, and when I do not know someone and their motives, I do not feel comfortable in their presence. You may very well be my mate or husband, whichever of our realm’s terms you wish to use, but I don’t know your character, not the true one and that unsettles me, as I do not know how to act around you as a result.” “What do you mean, my ‘true one’?” “The man I bore witness to is not the one that tends to his realm and his people to the point that he will exhaust himself for them. The man that makes his brothers love him even though the decision to name you heir when even on Jotunheim, the eldest usually would be named such. The man that would have people tell me, at nauseam I may add, that they look forward to your reign, that they see Jotunheim not as great as it was before, but better than so. I do not know that man, and though he sounds like one worth knowing, the one they all state such of was a far different man to the one I know and that worries me somewhat, as I cannot understand how the same man they say such about is the same man I know.” Loki felt guilty at her words. “No, I suppose not. I have carried myself through this appallingly. My treatment of you has been sub-par, to say the least. You never deserved how I treated you. You have only ever cared for Jotunheim yet I dismissed you as nothing more than your father’s spy.” “A fair enough judgement to make, to be fair. At the beginning.” She acknowledged. “But I have only ever cared to make things better here, Prince Loki. It is my home, and on many levels, I do not wish for it to fail. I loathe seeing realms not reach their full potential. When I went to Svartalfheim, seeing it as nothing more than a desolate wasteland, it was horrid. It had so much potential, yet now, it is nothing.” “You have been to Svartalfhiem?” “Yes, I have been to all the realms, the Allfather is often required to travel, it is somewhat commonplace for his family to join them. I only got to come here for our marriage, but before that, I saw all others.” “Really?” “Why would I lie?” She challenged. “This may surprise you, but I am actually fairly well-travelled and well-read.”
“I’m sorry. My comment is not said in question of the truthfulness of your statement, more than the startlement that you would be brought to different realms. Forgive me if this insults you, but I thought the Allfather would not consider bringing his daughter with him like he would his son.” “I am aware of the inequality of genders in my realm in some manners, but in others, I fear you are not aware of the protocol that is required. Were my father to go on realm visits to which a formal request for such was made without my mother and I, it is seen as an incredible insult.” “Understandable,” Loki nodded, thinking of the logic. He took a moment to think before speaking again. “The day you came to the throne room and collapsed, my father and I were discussing something with regards to an official visit to Vanaheim.” “It is quite nice there.” She smiled politely.
“I would not know. We never had an alliance with them, not after the war.”
“Well, Vanaheim is Asgard’s closest ally due to my parents’ marriage. Your being their foe makes you Vanaheim’s by extension, they fought side by side in the war.” “And your marriage to me makes them think us to be what...worthy of their time?” Loki asked, slightly insulted. “A new trading partner. Jotunheim is one of the only realms that produces certain products. Vanir, like Aesir and indeed Light Elves love pageantry, do you know what their favourite form of showing off is?” Loki shook his head. “Ice sculptures, they love them, very grand, you see, ice is not like stone, it melts and is more fragile, it requires a more passionate and caring touch. But there is one issue, have you ever seen how big a block of ice you need for their statues? They cannot get them currently, not as they want them and they hate it. They have to join a few pieces together to get what they want. Jotunheim has blocks of ice a hundred feet high, they are going to be salivating at the mere thought. Not to mention, they will all want to be the first to have food from here so they can be seen to be above others. If you are the first to have Jotnar cuisine, you must be important in the court’s eyes. Now with the Casket back where it belongs and the realm is approaching full productivity once more, it will be a very handy tool for any new trade negotiations to use this information. If you know what they want, you can ensure they do not insult you with any mere attempt to dismiss it and you can use it to ensure you get everything you wish in return. I can tell you what they are abundant in and what they deem of greatest value, if you wish?”
Loki listened with intrigue. This was all information that would assist in bettering Jotunheim’s position in any upcoming discussions. “I will remember that. Why don’t we sit and eat and discuss it further?” He offered, indicating to the table. “I also got you these.” He walked over to a table a retrieved some flowers. “I noticed your flowers were dying, so…” Ella smiled. “Thank you, that is very kind of you.”
Seeing it was not the same false smile she tended to use in the past, Loki smiled in return. “So, you are aware of their thoughts on trade?”
“Yes, I can tell you what they have that they will trade, both easily and what they will try to make you work for, but of course, I know where they get some of their supplies, and most importantly, I know where to get their supplies for less.” Loki’s eyes widened. “My travels allowed me to see and hear things that will help us, help Jotunheim.”
Seeing her passion at the idea, Loki looked forward to the meal more. Sitting down across from her, he was unable to hide a smile as she smirked knowingly. “Well, I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say.” Ella chuckled back. “I would wager so. But first, tell me what they stated in their invitation. Let us see how they plan to approach this so we are prepared.”

Beyla (Loki) 3
I sit on the marble siding of the fountain in the gardens of Asgard, allowing my Bees to attend to their saplings last as I relax in my thoughts.
Loki and I have been mischievously having secrets rendezvous within the late hours of the night. Hidden our relations out of the sights of Thor and the Alfather. The only person to know about the secret affair is Frigga. Who was surprisingly supportive in every way possible.
Loki comes stomping away on the golden tiles and halts when he notices me. I furrow my brows confused. "Loki? Are you alright, my love?" I stand walking over to caress his features. He grabs my hands, lowering them. "Father has chosen Thor to be crowned by 3 days nightfall." I look at him reading into his eyes. "Why are you frightened?"
His expression sharpens and his spits, "Odin declared it would be disrespectful to all before him to not be wed as King."
I drop my hands completely staring at the ground in shock. "No. I can choose. I have my right to refugees!" "You have no right in the eyes of the Alfather, Beyla." "Your mother must have a say!" "She addresses the cause and he rejected it before she even spoke your name."
I back away taking a seat on the fountain. I place my hand over my heart as I feel the need to explode.
"There has to be something you can do."
Loki bends to his knee in front of me. He holds my hands kissing each knuckle. "Beyla, my love, I promise to do everything in my power to stop this wedding and coronation. He doesn't deserve to be King and rule with a Goddess as yourself."
Loki leans in kissing me with passion. "If anyone is going to rightfully call you their Queen, I will be the first. We will rule together, darling. I promise you." He struts away withholding a newfound purpose in his eyes.
🌿
As the brothers stand at the end waiting for the bride to be, Loki quickly tries to pass his frustration and time. "Thor." He gestures towards the goblet in the Attendant's hand. Eels pour over the sides of the goblet, slithering out and across the terrified Attendant's hand. He screams, hurls the goblet to the ground as Loki chuckles.
"Loki." Thor scolds.
Loki gestures to the writhing eels on the ground. They turn back to spilled wine, the illusion shattered. "Now that was just a waste of good wine."
Loki shrugs, "Just a bit of fun." Beyla would've found it amusing.
Thor dons his infamous eagle winged helmet. Loki scoffs, "Nice feathers." His brother challenges. "You don't really want to start this again, do you, Cow?" "I was being sincere." "You're incapable of sincerity." Loki raises his eyebrows at his brother smugly.
"Am I? Beyla finds me rather charming and quite capable of sincerity." Thor looks at his brother with question. "I've looked forward to this day as long as you have. You're my brother and my friend. Sometimes I'm envious, but never doubt that I love you." Thor pats his back. "I know you love her, brother. If there was anything I could do I would. If I wish to be King then I am to be wed and produce an heir. You understand, brother." Loki stares at him in shock. He knew? Yet he sat through the council with a smile as they discussed the wedding.
Loki once again had a ring of thoughts surrounding the crown and his beloved. He deserves to be King!
🌿
I stare at myself in the mirror with a frown. "Honey smile, it's your wedding day." My mother states as Frigga wings out the back of the stunning golden gown. She drapes a red shawl over my shoulders and places a large jeweled necklace with Thor's famous winged trademark upon my neck.
This is truly hideous.
My mother's eyes dazzle as she watches the extravagant garments flow as I step off the platform. "Why aren't you happy, Beyla? This has been your desire for years." I turn to her sharply. "My desire? If you would've taken the time to listen to me you would know I'm marrying the wrong prince!" My mother looks at Frigga. "Is this true, my friend?" She nods fixing my hair. "She doesn't love my eldest. Only the youngest prince can make her smile. And it is rare when I have seen him so happy."
My mother crumbles looking at me. "What can we do?" Frigga shakes her head leading us to the door. "Nothing. This is Odin's choice ."
As my father leads me down the aisle lined with hundreds of people just waiting to see this event, I look at Thor at the end. Dressed in his armor of honor and a smug smile planted over his lips.
He smiles as he takes my hand from my father. "Hello, Beyla." I nod taking my place across from him. Loki avoids eye contact with me as the ceremony drags. I just silently beg for him to rebel and ask for me right here. This should be our wedding!
"Here today Thor Odinson and Beyal are joined in a ceremonial bond. A day where two loved ones join together and vow to keep pride and honor within the throne. Here today Thor and Beyla are forevermore..."
Large thumps from under distract Odin. I start to notice a strange sight before me. Ice crept across the surface of the large banners around the hall, making an eerie cracking ring out.
"Frost Giants," The Allfather gasps. I rip my hands away from Thor, looking around intensity reading to endure chaos.
The far-off sounds of a battle echo in the depths of the palace below. Sif and the Warriors Three reach for their weapons, as Thor races from the hall leaving his unwedded bride.
Loki grabs her arm pulling her away with him. He pushes her in her chambers quickly. "I'll be back, my love."
🌿
Thor enters, then stares shocked at the sight before him. Sif, the Warriors Three, and Loki hurry in behind and stop short.
Shattered and melting ice is strewn about the floor. We don't see the blue-skinned bodies of the Frost Giants clearly, just catch glimpses of their twisted and smoldering remains on the floor.
They've just lost a savage battle. Badly. Amidst them, shrouded in shadow, stands the black metal creature, a fiery glow coming from within it.
It is the Destroyer. It holds the Casket in its hands. Odin steps in behind the Asgardians, as the Destroyer sets the Casket back on its pedestal. It moves back to its post, the faint, glow extinguishes within it. Fandral looks around the Vault, ill at ease.
"I've never been inside the Vault before. It's said the Tesseract was once held here."
They awed around the room at the many objects. "The Tesseract? I thought that was but a legend!"
Odin surveys the destruction at hand. Thor beings to speak, "The Jotuns must pay for what they've done!"
"They have paid with their lives. The Destroyer did its job, and the Casket is safe. All is well."
Thor scoffs out, "All is well? They broke into the Weapons Vault! If the Frost Giants had stolen even one of these-" "But they didn't." The angelic voice of the Goddess herself rings through.
Beyla waltzes downs the dark steps towards them. Loki grasps her wrist drawing their attention. "I asked you to stay with, mother." She smirks at him. "And I disobeyed."
Thor stares at his betrothed shocked. "You don't want to know why they-" Odin cuts him off once more.
"The Casket of Ancient Winters belonged to the Jotuns. They believe it's their birthright. I have a truce with Laufey, the Jotun King."
"He just broke your truce! We must act!"
Odin turns to Sif and the Warriors Three.
"Leave us."
Thor's comrades exit. Odin eyes Thor, as Loki and Beyla watch.
"And what action would you take?" Odin counters. Thor stands y'all with confidence. "March into Jotunheim as you once did, teach them a lesson, break their spirits so they'll never dare try to cross our borders again!"
"You're thinking only as a warrior!"
"This was an act of war!"
Loki places his cold finger tips on her spine as the actions play. She hides her smirk as the Allfather screams at the ignorant son.
"It was the act of but a few, doomed to fail."
"They got this far!"
"We will find the breach in our defenses. It will be found, and it will be sealed."
"As King of Asgard, I would--" "You are not King. Not yet." He gestured to Beyla who peers upon the god with a scowl.
Thor sees in his father's face that he's pushed this as far as he can. He backs away, then leaves, pushing through the doors so hard that they slam backward behind him.
Odin shakes his head. "I apologize for the disturbance of the ceremony, Lady Beyal. We shall allow him to prepare in short time."
🌿
Loki and Beyla walk into the banquet hall seeing the entire table toppled over and Thor pouting on the side.
Beyal sighs waking over. "It takes more effort to frown than it does to smile, Thor." He disagrees, "It's unwise for you two to be in my company right now." Loki shrugs sitting next to his brother. "Who said we were wise?"
Thor sighs defeated in anger. "This was to be my day of triumph." Loki nods, "It will come. In time..."
Loki speaks shocking the young goddess. "If it's any consolation, I think you're right. About the Frost Giants, about Laufey, everything. If a few of them could penetrate the defenses of Asgard once, who's to say they won't try again. Next time with an army?" Beyla frowns, "they've understood the ground. We don't have to do anything else."
The brothers ignore her comment and cheer on. "Yes, exactly!"
"But there's nothing we can do without defying Father."
Thor considers this, looks at his hammer, a gleam in his eye. Loki can guess what he's thinking, grows concerned. "No... stop there! I know that look!"
"It's the only way to ensure the safety of our borders."
"It's madness, Thor!" Beyla agues. By this time the warriors have gathered in curiosity. "What madness?" Thor smirks at his friends, "We're going to Jotunheim."

Ella walked towards her father, his guards around her. It felt wrong. She felt herself being pulled back towards the ice palace. When she met her father’s eye, she could see that he noticed it too.
“This needs to be done.” He all but whispered.
“Nothing ever really needs to be done, you know that.” She stated quietly.
“I am not risking you dying, not for this.”
“Did you ever do something twice, having failed the first time?” Odin nodded. “Having been in serious risk of meeting your demise in the process?” Again, he nodded. “But you did it?”
“It was my duty.” She raised a brow at him. “Why do you think it is a failure to walk away from this?”
“Because I know I can do more.”
“He does not love you. He will never love you, he loathes us all.”
“I know, but this is more than just him.”
“Is it to spite him?” Ella snorted slightly. “Then why, help me understand, Ella?”
“I feel there is more to do. Like there is something more to keep me here.” She looked around. “I cannot explain it.”
“I cannot risk your life, Ella. Not again.” Odin looked at Loki, who was watching them both, his face showing guilt, and at Laufey, who clearly had the look of a being that had just torn strips from his son. He knew that look, he had it on more than one occasion dealing with Thor. “Not for him.”
“Papa…” Odin gave her a warning look, knowing if any were to hear, it would be deemed socially damaging. “Please.”
“I cannot permit it.”
“Then, strike the record, I am going to do something you do not permit,” she smiled.
“He does not want you. He sees this as being rid of you, finally.”
“Let us see.” She turned and walked back towards Loki, not stopping or looking elsewhere until she got to him, noting there were none close to him. “If my father had allowed me to stay after my illness, would everything have remained as it was, or would you have tried?”
“I cannot say.”
“Yes, you can. It is only you that can answer that question as only you could you have chosen to change your actions, so yes, you can answer.”
“I have not thought of it. The moment he came, the Allfather made it clear it would not be allowed.”
“You did not think to fight him on it? To argue that you could do better?”
“As you stated, it was never what I wanted, so I saw it as an end to this.” He noted the somewhat disappointed look in her features. “Why?”
“I wanted to see what sort of man you were.”
“And?”
“It appears my concern for your abilities in the bedroom was not the only area I should have been concerned about you being severely lacking.”
“You never wanted this either.”
“I did actually.” That caused him to silence. “I wanted to do my best, to not judge the man I was walking towards, to not be everything Jotunheim feared the Aesir to be. I thought I was the failure, I was not.” There was a small smile on her face, not of taunting or such, but of relieved enlightenment.
“Why did you come back here?”
“I thought I could try, try with your aid to convince my father to allow this forward, to try and better the situation. I felt as though I needed to, like I was meant to be here, but it is clear, I was foolish. I guess I hoped you would have seen I am not the monster you thought me to be and to give me a chance. How silly of me.” She curtsied.
“Father is no longer considering me to be his heir.” Ella frowned at him. “My lack of honour towards you in every manner is his reasoning, everything with…”
“Of all your faults, who you love is not your own doing, not entirely.” She responded sagely.
“We cannot help who we care for.”
“Yes, we can, because we allow them into our hearts. Take the examples of your love and I. You wanted to love her, so you let yourself open your heart to her, you could never wish to love me, so you never allowed it to be even remotely possible.”
“You never…”
“Do not assume for me, Prince Loki. I never assumed for you.” She returned before he could say any more, her words sharper than he had expected. “I am sorry that Laufey feels that way, but I can only convince my father of so much, I cannot work on yours too.” She turned to leave. “Especially now that I am no longer to be wed to you.”
“I would have.” She stopped. “If after you had recovered, the marriage was forced to be upheld, with everything I know now that I had not known or refused to acknowledge then, I would have been more open, spoken with you more. You...I forget this is different for you.”
“I think you need to go to another realm, stay there a short time and realise that everything you know, everything you think is not what those around you think, you will see then the path you must try and navigate between everything you feel defines you and what is deemed acceptable in your surrounds, you see then how little you know of the realms but also, how difficult it is to marry it all. I would think it to be an enlightening experience for you such you attempt it.”
“If I had said yes immediately, as soon as you asked, what would it have mattered?”
“Because I came back here specifically to get that answer. Our departure was delayed for it.”
“And should I have said yes?”
“Only the Norn of the realities can answer that.” She shrugged. “I tried.”
Loki thought quickly. “So if I had said yes, he would have allowed it?”
“On you saying yes, alone? No.”
“So why ask it?”
“Because added to my conviction, it may have been possible.” Loki’s eyes widened. “But you want this done, so…” She frowned as he placed her hand in his. “So desperate for a crown?”
“I am desperate to better my realm.”
“Desperate enough to endure me?”
“Desperate enough to admit my wrongdoings to better myself in any way I can for my realm.”
“So, what would you do?”
“Anything you wish, ladies, anything. Please.” She noticed the shameful look he gave his father, who continued to glare at his son, though curious to the conversation between them.
“You do not like disappointing him. That is a shared feeling between us.” Ella turned to him again. "And if he states he will not reinstate you as his heir?"
"Then I will be the best advisor to my brother that I can be."
“And her?” Loki bit the inside of his cheeks. “If you have her, am I not allowed such happiness also?” He frowned. “If you can have the one you love, should not I have the same?”
“But you…?” She raised a brow. “The agreement?”
“Only those of your blood am I permitted to carry but only I can carry those of your blood, I know the agreement.”
“But were you to take someone?”
“If you choose this, we are equal in that and almost every other manner, I will not negotiate further. Both of us or neither. And I would allow you to choose which.” She said nothing more and began to walk away.
Loki’s nostrils flared slightly. With long purposeful strides, he made his way to Ella, who was walking towards her father, a knowing smile on her face. “No other.”
“You must really want that throne.” She laughed before schooling her face to one of stoic professionalism once more. As she came to where her father stood, her seidr glowed and the Aesir garb she donned altered into the attire she wore whilst allied to Laufey’s house once more.
“When Thor defies me, it is of insolence and immature foolishness, you are following that now?”
Ella gave her father a knowing smile. “You know that is not true.”
“Well, I had nothing left but either compare you to him and make you feel insulted enough to want to not be associated with such or drag you back by the hair.” Her father growled. “Your mother will not be pleased either.”
“Tell her the Bifrost opens here very easily.”
Odin looked at Loki again. “My daughter is openly defying me to try and fix your mess, if you so much as put one more foot out of line, I swear on the Norns, it will no longer be attached to your body. She is risking her life for you,” He snarled, an anger in his features that struck fear into Loki. He looked at his daughter again. “I think you are making a terrible mistake, Ella.”
“I think I am stopping myself from making one.” She took her father’s hand. “Let us see which of us is right.”
“If I am right, you do not live. I have never wished to be wrong so greatly in my life.” He shook his head slightly. “You stress me greater than ruling a realm.”
“If not nothing else, I am good at keeping you humble.” She bowed slightly. “Allfather.”
Plagued by uncertainty, Odin stepped a few steps further back and called his guards to his side. Loki watched as one passed by, his gaze on Ella for a moment before he fixed a glare upon him. Slightly puzzled, Loki returned his glare in kind before the blinding light of the Bifrost carried all but one Aesir from Jotunheim.
Turning to head to the palace once more, Ella made her way through the deep snow, her heart feeling lighter. Laufey waited for her to stand in front of him again. “I hope you do not mind my staying, My King.”
“Jotunheim would be lucky for you to never leave.” Laufey chuckled before his face became serious once more. “But of my son’s confessions?”
“I will say to you as I said to the Allfather; we all have something that, on first attempt, is not right, but we try again, though we risk failure once more and even harm to ourselves. Yes, we may once more fail and be seen as fools, or we may learn from past errors and rise above a challenge we were convinced we were not strong enough for.” She faced Loki, who was speaking with Arden. “I think this such a time. Now that everything is known, perhaps it will be different.”
“And if it remains broken?”
“Then it is safe to say, we did everything possible.”
“And if my son kills you?”
Ella scoffed. “I will not let him get me, I am too stubborn for that.”
Laufey chuckled again in response.
Loki looked at Ella as he made his way back to the palace, thinking over everything that just happened. Arden ensured that he got into step with Loki as he did. “The guard with the silver gauntlets that was none-too-happy to look at you?” Loki looked at the Arden with immense curiosity. “That is Liuilf, grandson of Tyr, Odin’s greatest general. He has fought in her honour in every tournament he competed in and won every fight he did so.”
“Even against the Brute?”
“No, he never did so in fights he knew he will lose,” Arden informed him. “If you choose to move forward with this and continue your liaisons with Angrboða, know that guard will find his way to Jotunheim and into her Highness’s company.”
Loki’s nostrils flared at the mere thought.

Loki’s P.O.V
This day couldn't have gone anymore wrong. Everything I had been led to believe was nothing more than the lies of an old man. Thor had been banished, Odin had gone into an Odin sleep and finally I'd found out my true heritage. I had been right all this time about not fitting in with the family, being the black sheep and now it all made so much sense. I was nothing more than a monstrous frost giant. Something mothers tell their children about at night to scare them. And now I was everything I had been taught to hate and fear.
It explained why I was never going to be king. He couldn't have a frost giant rule Asgard. I looked at myself in the mirror, disgusting with what looked back at me. Blue skin, blood red eyes. I couldn’t let Raven see me like this, she'd turn and run from me. I was the son of Laufey, rightful heir to Jotunheim. But I didn’t want that, I didn’t want to be his son. There had to be something I could do to show Odin that I wasn’t like all the other frost giants that I wasn’t like Laufey. I was a son of Odin, prince of Asgard.
Thor was right, we should have slaughtered them all when we had the chance. I’m sure I still could. It would end the constant feuding and tension. Maybe then Odin would be proud of me and see me as his son. I needed that acceptance from him so that maybe one day I could accept myself. I would resent him for keeping this from me but that could heal. What hurt more was that my mother had kept it from me. With how much she loved me I would have thought she could have been truthful.
I turned away from the mirror, I couldn’t stand to look at myself anymore, let alone be in my own skin. I heard the door open behind me and froze in place. I couldn’t let Raven see me like this. She’d leave me, and I couldn’t live without her. I made a move to the bathroom, but it was too late, she was already in the room, staring at me in shock. “Loki?” She questioned. I turned away from her, “don't look at me. You shouldn't have to see this.” “I don't understand, what's going on?” “The truth finally came out. I’m longer blinded by Odin’s lies, ironic isn't it that the god of deception and lies has been lied too his whole life.”
“Your a...frost giant?” She asked hesitantly. “I’m a monster,” I turned to her, finally letting her look at me, “see. You should be running from this room, screaming...why aren't you? You should be disgusted by the sight of-" Raven cut me off with a kiss, her lips warm against my cold ones. This didn't seem to bother her however. She continued to kiss me, trailing down to my neck. “What are you doing? I asked in disbelief. “Proving a point.” She kissed me again before I could say another word, her fingers tangling in my hair. Raven pulled away for air, that familiar lustful look in her eye. Oh. She really wanted me? In this form?
Raven turned me towards the mirror, forcing me to look at myself. Raven kept her hands on my shoulders to stop me turning away. “Does it really look that bad? I think you look beautiful,” she spoke. “I’m hideous.” “Your still my husband. Your still my Loki. No matter what form you take.” Raven’s hands moved down to the hem of my undershirt, pulling the material up and over my head. This revealed more of my pale blue skin, darker blue lines across my chest. She kissed my shoulder, her lips like hot coals across my skin. But yet it wasn’t painful like I had expected. And she showed no signs of discomfort. Her hands moved further down my body, undoing my pants before pulling those off me too.
I stood there in just my boxers, forced to look at my monstrous form. I had no idea what this was meant to prove. “You really don’t see what I see?” She asked. “The only thing beautiful in that mirror is you. And I am so undeserving of you.” “Why? Because you think you’re a monster? You were manipulated and lied too for all of your life, led to believe your race were the monsters. What kind of king steals a baby from its home, from its people and parents?” I let her words sink in, she was right. It was just difficult. Whilst he wasn’t my true father he had still raised me, cared for me in his own way. Raven turned me round to face her once more.
She kissed me again, her body pressing against mine. I let her take control of the situation, I needed her too. Raven led me over to the bed, pushing me down on to the soft sheets. She undressed herself before climbing on top of me, straddling my waist. She started kissing me again, her kisses hungry and passionate. I was left breathless by her kisses. But I needed more. She kissed every part of my blue flesh that she could. I wasn’t used to this kind of devotion, normally I was the one doing this. It felt…nice to be on the receiving end. Raven continued her journey south, taking my boxers off. Raven could sense my unease and placed a comforting hand on my chest. “Relax Loki, I’m not going to hurt you,” she reassured. I’d never been so vulnerable before. Never…submissive.
Raven took my cock into her hot, wet mouth. She smiled as I gasped at the sensation. I could only moan and whimper as she devoured me completely. Her mouth was like liquid fire on my cock. I didn’t know how much I could take before I would come apart. She held my hips down so that I wouldn’t buck into her mouth. She took it slow, practically worshiping my cock with her lips and tongue. I gripped the bed sheets beneath me, needing something to cling too. “P-please don’t…fuck…don’t stop,” I managed. Raven showed no signs of stopping anytime soon, continuing to suck my cock with a soft moan. I threw my head back against the sheets, still whimpering from the pleasure. It was almost too much, teetering on the edge of too much pleasure.
She eventually stopped, climbing back on top of me. She barely gave me any time to recover as pressed her wet, heat against my cock. I wasn’t sure if I could take more. Raven laced her fingers with mine, leaning down to kiss me lovingly. She then slowly sunk herself down onto my cock. I cursed, squeezing her hands tight. Fuck. She just felt so good. So tight, so hot. Once she was fully seated on my cock she remained still, giving me time to compose myself. Raven leaned down, cupping my cheek. “Your okay, I’ve got you,” she spoke softly. I smiled at her, how was it possible to have found someone so loving and caring? I had no idea what I’d done to deserve such an angel. Raven sat back up, rolling her hips against mine. She moaned softly, letting the pleasure guide her movements.
I placed my hands on her hips, noticing the small shiver that ran through her. I went to pull away, but she placed her hands over mine, stopping me. Now she began to ride me, her hands on my chest to keep her balance. My hips bucked against hers, forcing a louder moan from her. I started to match her pace, pulling her down for another kiss. I needed all of her at once. Having her like this was so much more intense. She sped up the pace a little, moaning my name. I was so close already, it was almost pathetic at how little I was lasting. Normally I could go most of the night, but it seemed her tender touch had rendered me weak. I reached between us, finding her clit. She shuddered in pleasure and from the feeling of my cold thumb against her hot bundle of nerves.
A few moments more and she came apart on top of me, crying out her release. It seemed her orgasm triggered my own as I too came apart seconds after her, whimpering her name. I was a panting, shaking mess. Who knew a woman could do such a thing to me. Raven climbed off of me carefully and lay next to me. She pulled me into her arms, my head against her chest as she stroked my hair. I noticed how her skin broke out in goosebumps, how she began to shiver at my touch. I tried to pull away but again she refused, holding me close. “I don’t want you to be cold, let me warm you like you warmed me,” I spoke. With that my skin returned to its normal shade, its normal temperature. I continued to cling to her, afraid of letting her go. She continued to stroke my hair to soothe and calm me, slowly lulling me into a deep sleep.

Thor Infinity Stone: None Villains: Laufey, The Frost Giants, Loki Loki kills Laufey and a good number of Frost Giants, the Frost Giants are dealt yet another terrible blow, Loki is presumed dead by us and the Asgardians, it is revealed in the post credits scene that he is alive.
Puente Antiguo, New Mexico ”The last 17 occurrences have been predictable to the second.” Aurora catalog- New Mexico The Bifrost is not what she’s looking for. She’s looking for a subtle aurora. IR- Read Positive “Do me a favor and don’t be dead.” Does it take Thor 17days to get to Earth? Tonsberg, Norway 965 A.D. “Once mankind accepted a simple truth. That they were not alone in this universe.”
The frost giants invade. Using the space stone? Cause how else did they get to Earth? Yeah, for sure using the Tesseract. Odin takes it from them. “With the last great war ended, we withdrew from the other worlds, and returned home, to the realm eternal Asgard.” So its been mostly peace in the nine realms for a millennia Odin has turned into an isolationist in regards to Earth and possibly in regards to most of the nine realms. “A wise king never seeks out war, but he must always be ready for it.” Way to be subtle Odin “But both of you were born to be kings.” I friggen love Frigga. “Thor Odinson, my heir, my first-born. So long entrusted with the mighty hammer, Mjolnir. Forged in the heart of a dying star. It's power has no equal as a weapon to destroy, or as a tool to build. It is a fit companion for a King.” LIAR Sif is giving Loki the hairy eyeball God, Tom is so young in this movie. Oh no, that thing isn’t the Tesseract It’s some other glowing blue cube Odin calls it a Casket Thor’s hair is really bad in this movie Judge a little harder Loki Thor is a hot head and a punch first ask questions never kind of guy. Loki is a if I stab you here will it hurt or just make you dance. “This isn’t like a journey to Earth, where you summon a little lightning and thunder, and the mortals worship you as a god.” Had they not decided that the Asgardian’s are Gods yet? Thor’s a sweet talker Anger to blatant manipulation in 30 seconds flat Hey Heimdall “You’re not dressed warmly enough.” “Do you think that you can deceive me?” “Never has an enemy slipped my watch until this day. I wish to know how that happened.” So Loki can deceive him, somehow. Does no one in the city notice the Bifrost? Heimdall has a kinda weird voice in this. Very stiff. Haunted ice city “We shouldn’t be here.” Trust him. Hogun’s right. “You’ve come a long way to die Asgardian’s.” “The house of Odin is full of traitors” “Your father is a murderer and a thief. And why have you come here? To make peace? You long for battle. You crave it! You're nothing but a boy, trying to prove himself a man. “ Laufey, the only bitch in this movie who knows what’s really up. Laufey actually looks sad when he says “You know not what your actions will unleash. I do.” “Run back home little prince’s.” “Damn.” Is that the moment we all decided to love Loki forever no matter what? I like how he fights with Mjolnir And I especially like that Sif has a battle ponytail Or is it the look of panic on his face when his skin turns blue? I’ll never be over shots of Mjolnir  plowing through lines of people Good doggo Loki and Sif and the Warriors Three run while Thor shoots rocks and finally summons lightning And Fandral laughs while Volstagg carries his injured ass I fucking love Fandral Thor the God of not getting alien monster goo on him Odin sure knows how to make an entrance Was Thor only going to be acting King so Odin could sleep? “We are beyond diplomacy now, Allfather. Hell get what he came for war and death.” Heimdall looks cowed ”That’s pride and vanity talking.” “You are a vain, greedy, cruel boy.” “And you are an old man and a fool!” “Thor Odinson... You have betrayed the express command of your King. Through your arrogance and stupidity, you've opened these peaceful Realms, and innocent lives to the horror and desolation of war! You are... unworthy of these Realms! unworthy of your title! You're unworthy... of the loved ones, you have betrayed. I now take from you, your power! In the name of my father! And his father before! I, Odin Allfather, cast you out! Whosoever holds of this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” Was the idea that the lightning powers came from his circles on his armor? Loki schools his features so well The bleach job on his beard and eyebrows is not good Jane being more concerned about the fractals than the man she hit with her car. I just love that tiny science nerd County Hospital So vague “I grazed him, but she tasered him.” “Yes I did.” Is the idea that Odin made him magically human? Oh the hammer crater Puente Antiguo City Limit Pop 2,175 Elev 6,056 Its maybe six square blocks Darcy is a polisci major and the only applicant Erik hasn’t been around long enough to know that Jane is just so smart and has no doubts and I love her. Yeah, Thor’s for sure human. He cant break the restraints But he can weasel out of them She only cares about finding him so she can ask him about being inside the Bifrost This is the most realistically American thing to happen in these movies A bunch of people getting drunk and bar-b-queuing by an alien artifact Donald Blake M.D. is her ex Darcy trying to get Erik to give her a nod about Thor’s abs Loki tells the group that he told the guard to tell Odin in hopes of stopping them from getting to Jotunheim “I love Thor more dearly than any of you, but you know what he is. Hes arrogant, he’s reckless, he’s dangerous!” “He may speak of the good of Asgard but he’s always been jealous of Thor.” Hogun is the only smart one. He knows that Loki as a master of magic could have smuggle the Jotuns in Loki holds the casket and is revealed to be a Jotun “Am I cursed.” “No.” “What am I?” “You’re my son.” “What more than that?” He found Loki in the temple on Jotunheim after the battle He was abandoned for being small “No! You took me for a purpose. What was it? TELL ME!” This is the moment we decided to love him for ever And Loki immediately jumps to the wrong conclusions, but he still calls for the guards “Another!” “I meant no disrespect.” “Alright. Well, no more smashing, deal?” “You have my word.” The rednecks think the hammer is a satellite 50 miles west of here “Myuh myuh? What’s myuh myuh?” Erik is reasonably concerned about Thor’s sanity and doesn’t want Jane to be alone with him And he kisses her hand goodbye and she cannot deal And the feds are taking her research Erik again tries to stop her “We need to appropriate your records, and all your atmospheric data.” “I'm sorry, Ms. Foster. But were the good guys.” You’re only half right about that Coulson Erik tells her about his scientist friend, a pioneer in gamma radiation who disappeared after SHIELD showed up. But he also offers to e-mail a colleague who has had some dealings with SHIELD. So was he friends with Bruce or Dr. Stern? Someone else? Loki leaning on that thrown like a gangster Cause he’s the acting king of Asgard “My friends.” Loki is totally that kid who is best friends with his brother and doesn’t actually have any friends of his own. Sif wants to fuck him up “I need a horse!” Jane decides to do something reckless. Thor is so fucking in awe of her “You think me strange.” “More like a rainbow bridge.” Frigga is so very worried about Odin She’s afraid that this sleep is different since they weren’t prepared “So why did he lie?” “He kept the truth from you, so that you would never feel different. You are our son, Loki. And we your family. We mustn't lose hope that your father will return to us. And your brother.” “What hope is there for Thor?” “There's always a purpose to everything your father does.” A storm is brewing over the crash site And Thor gives her his coat in preparation for it “No. I’m going to fly out.” My theory is Mjolnir and Thor nearing each other caused the storm Thor’s smart enough to knock a guard out and steal his poncho to sneak around. And Jane’s smart enough to call Erik and tell him she did what she did “We need eyes up high with a gun.” And Clint disobeys orders Sitwell and Coulson Hey Clint “You want me to slow him down sir. Or are you sending in more guys for him to beat up?” “I’ll let you know.” “You better call it, Coulson. Cause I’m starting to root for this guy. Last chance sir.” This is the scene where I dedicated myself to this particular Clint Barton and as it turns out this movie is about equal with his screen time in the next three movies he’s in. This scene goes from fun and funny to heartbreaking I never noticed the tri symbol fading out again as he stared at it Heimdall watches his friend suffer and we see only his eye and yet he looks so sad. Cause Idris Elba is a master “A primitive culture like the vikings might have worshiped them as deities.” “That’s hurtful.” Coulson, please! God, his eyebrows. So bad. Why is Loki’s illusion wearing Earth clothes? “Father is dead.” “What?” “Your banishment. The threat of a new war. It was too much for him to bear. You mustn't blame yourself. I know that you loved him. I tried to tell him so, but he wouldn't listen. So cruel to put the hammer within your reach, knowing that you could never lift it. The burden of the throne has fallen to me now.” “Can I come home?” broken boy is broken And then he apologizes. Because he’s still a sweet boy under it all Oh. Loki’s really on Earth. He tries to pick up the hammer. That’s why the Earth clothes. Erik tells all the lies. “Steroids! he’s a bit of a fitness nut.” Jane and Darcy did not do a good job of faking that id. Cause SHIELD figures it out in seconds. And yet lets them take him anyway. And Thor steals Jane’s notebook cause he’s smart “Dr. Selvig, just keep him away from the bars.” “I will.” “Where are we going.” “To get a drink.” It’s a good gag Erik and Jane’s father taught at university together So he gives Thor the shovel talk and tells him to leave town And then orders two boilermakers And not to be outdone they both end up sculling them Loki returns to Jotunheim And his father is far too willing to kill him. Does Laufey know? Loki just wanted to ruin Thor’s coronation and keep him from being king for a little longer But he wants the Frost Giants to kill Odin for him Heimdall couldn’t see nor hear Loki on Jotunheim “You have great power, Heimdall. Did Odin ever fear you?” “No.” “And why is that?” “Because he is my King. And I'm sworn to obey him.” “He was your King. And you are sworn to obey me now. Yes?” “Yes.” “We drank, we fought, he made his ancestors proud.” “I still don’t think you’re the god of thunder, but you ought to be.” Jane’s panicking and sticking a dirty cereal bowl in a cabinet “I’ve been far less grateful than you deserve.” He’s learning humility And he apologizes for not getting all of her promised data back And she’s more worried about her research never seeing the light of day He’s so proud to be able to share the World’s Tree And him mispronouncing Hubble is what clenched our love for him And probably her’s to They do that thing where you talk all night and fall in love with someone “The hell with treason it’s suicide!” Listen to Fandral. “You would defy the commands of Loki, our King, Break every oath you have taken as warriors, and commit treason to bring Thor back?” “Yes.” “Good!” “So you'll help us?” “I am bound by honor to our King. I cannot open the bridge to you.” I fucking love him He will commit treason in a second for the good of Asgard Him and Nakia would get along 15 miles due northwest That’s where the four land Thor and Jane cooking breakfast is the fucking best! He’s so soft And SHIELD is spying on Jane in the gas station “Be sure my brother does not return. Destroy everything.” The whole town and even the SHIELD agents being weirded out by the four of them It’s a good gag “You think the Bifrost is the only way in and out of this realm? There are secret paths between the worlds, to which even you with all your gifts are blind. But I have need of them no longer, now that I am king. And I say, for your act of treason, you are relieved of your duties as Gatekeeper. And no longer citizen of Asgard.” “Then I need no longer obey you.” And Heimdal is willing to assassinate his king right there. No hesitation. The Bifrost looks like a tornado funnel from a distance Thor wants Jane to evacuate. She refuses. If he’s staying to evacuate people so is she. Lady Sif and the Warriors Three are not so good at the fighting He’s willing to die a human death to get his friends and the humans out “You must return to Asgard. You have to stop Loki.” “What about you?” “Do not worry my friends. I have a plan.” It’s a shitty plan Thor! “Brother, whatever I have done to wrong you, whatever I have done to lead you to do this, I am truly sorry. But these people are innocent. Taking their lives will gain you nothing. So take mine... and end this.” Good speech, bro And Thor gets smacked across town. So of course his lady love runs to him. And he dies in her arms. And like beauty and the beast her tears and Odin’s revive him Cause Odin is still aware from the Odin sleep The hammer can break the sound barrier And Erik is the only one smart enough to drag her away before the hammer gets there The Asgardian’s look so fucking pleased Erik can’t even And look at that storm “So is this how you normally look.” “More or less.” “It’s a good look.” “S’cuse me. Donald, I don’t think you’ve been completely honest with me.” “Know this, son of Coul. You and I, we fight for the same cause, the protection of this world. From this day forward you can count me as your ally, if, you return the items you have taken from Jane.” “Stolen!” “Borrowed. Of course you can have your equipment back. You're gonna need it to continue your research.” I had completely forgotten about the frost giant invasion Also Heimdall cracking the ice through sheer force of will is fantastic “But I give you my word I will return for you. Deal?” And he kisses her had And she kisses his face Cause screw being a gentleman right now Frigga is not afraid to throw down with some frost giants Laufey holds Odin’s eye open “It's said, you can still hear and see what transpires around you. I hope it's true. So that you may know, your death came at the hand of Laufey.” And Loki kills Laufey in a double cross to secure his station and allow for an invasion of the other realms. Cause the realms in chaos secures his thrown “Now if you’ll excuse me I have to destroy Jotunheim.” And he shoots Thor so hard he flies through the wall and out of the building Loki wants no proof of his heritage left. He’ll commit genocide to prove he isn’t a monster. To prove to his father that he is a worthy son. “I never wanted the throne I only ever wanted to be your equal.” “Is it madness. Is it? Is it!” Oh man he’s gone full Hamlet while Thor was going full Romeo This is a good looking fight Loki’s first use of an illusion to trick Thor into getting stabbed If Thor dies closing the Bifrost Loki is never getting up Don’t goad the God Loki “Hear me brother there’s noting you can do!” So he summons the hammer and destroys the bridge “It is the only way.” Odin opens his eyes “If you destroy the bridge you’ll never see her again!” “Forgive me Jane.” “I could have done it father. I could have done it. For you. For all of us.” “No Loki!” And he lets go of the staff and falls off Asgard and into a black hole or a portal or maybe just what was left of the Bifrost On Earth Jane accepts that Thor’s gone Frigga has so few moments in this movie and I feel robbed “My Queen, I’m sorry for your loss.” “How is he?” “He mourns for his brother. And he misses her. The mortal.” “You’ll be a wise king.” “There will never be a wiser king than you. Or a better father. I have much to learn. I know that now. But some day, perhaps, I shall make you proud.” Odin looks sad Cause he knows that’s a fucking lie Is that the first time he’s told Thor he proud? Heimdall just hanging out on the end of that broken bridge Like a sad asshole “So, earth is lost to us?” “No. There is always hope.” “Can you see her?” “Yes.” “How is she?” “She searches for you.” Here endeth the movie This song is a weird fucking choice. Is this the Goo Goo Dolls? Nope it’s the Foo Fighters. Thor Will Return in The Avengers Erik is wandering a basement at Shield. And Fury’s there. “Doctor Selvig?” “So, you're the man behind all this? It's quite a labyrinth. I was thinking, they're taking me down here to kill me.” “I've been hearing about the New Mexico situation. Your work has impressed a lot of people who are much smarter than I am.” “I have a lot to work with. The Forster theory, a gate to another dimension. It's unprecedented. Isn't it?” And Fury shows him the Tesseract “Legend tells us one thing, history another. But every now and then, we find something that belongs to both.” “What is it?” “Power, doctor. If we can figure out how to tap it, maybe unlimited power.” And we see in a reflection Loki standing next to Erik “Well I guess that’s worth a look.” “Well I guess that’s worth a look.”

Amity Celebrations \ / @magnusmodig
Tumblr media
Why are the celebrations of this world so... asanine? In Asgard the festivities would be for tales of glories and battles. Stories that were passed down from generation to generation, and regarded in the highest esteme.
Perhaps in some ways these "traditions" were largely the same. And perhaps Loki was biased, but that did not change the fact Loki saw little to no interest in engaging with anything of this world ( lest another beast come after him and force him to do so. )
But something was softened in the Ice Prince's heart. Perhaps it was seeing sons with their mothers, brothers playing in fields... it reminded him of an older time. a simpler one. where war was only a story they celebrated and they could fight it all together. Maybe what he felt was jealousy, maybe it was anger that these lives were happier than his. Mischief had already lifted his heart, but... perhaps... just this once...
----
Loki had found himself in a secluded part of the field's. There were very few eyes that would be upon him as he strode his way among the freshly bloomed flowers. He saw the ones he was searching for. With a skilled and delicate finger, he took them from the ground and into his hands.
He had a sizable collection of flowers, which to any casual observer were nothing special. But to him, he knew them alone as his mothers favorite. He'd often spent hours collecting bouquets for her from the lush castle gardens. The light that shown on her face whenever she would recieve such a gift was something he always cherished. Her smile was the prettiest. He often wondered if she was ever truly happy.
Every stem weaved into the next. He lost count of the hours he spent on the field floor, while waltzing in his memories. Good memories. Happy moments with her... that was squandered. The wreath was only halfway done, by the time he became aware of approaching footsteps.

Tower Exploration \ / Starter @askstalks-in-shadows
Tumblr media
Of all of the sources in this realm to investigate, the very tower upon which they ( being all of these 'echoes' ) were summoned from. His last attempts to resolve his bewildering displacement left him battered and bruised, more than he ought to have been.
It seemed there was an order to this summoning. Every midday and weekend, the tower would illuminate, and every time still these temporal gardens would flood in green light and butterflies. These guardians appeared as well to alternate their greetings ( he always glared at the one who resembled a half horse - more of a cow than he was to be certain. )
It was another one of those investigations. The tower illuminated as always, but from it was brought an echo. He merely watched from a distance, seeing the same routine as usual. The device, the key, and the idiotic item were gifted, and that was that.
He observed the new arrival; she seemed confused about her surroundings. He quickly deemed she was not of Asgardian descent, and before long caught her eye.
He blinked.
Deciding he was satisfied, Loki then proceeded to walk away to his own home. He was in no mood to engage with a newcomer.

@fellstcr \ / It's you ... Hypnum Insomnum pt. I
Tumblr media
... this was not a part of the plan. Not that anything ever truly fell into Loki's design. He was a master of the ever-changing, constant flow that was Chaos. It was not something to control. All you can do is watch, listen, then follow. From there you may yet find the outcome you desire.
But this was not the outcome he wanted at all.
He had grown frantic as of late ( damned moss, wretched disgusting clouds of pink dust ) a helpless, evil feeling of knowing what he was supposed to be and unable to rise above it all. While his magic was still locked away... he needed a way to gain control fight back.
At the time ... the most straightforward solution ... was to acquire a weapon. Daggers had always been his primary selection ( the ability to stay nimble and light with accuracy and flexibility suited his style best ) and thus a stroll toward a secluded weapons location ( dark, quiet, criminal it seemed ) was in order. Unfortunately for him, he had no coin to his name.
But what was he if not someone willing to do whatever it took for his survival? The weapon was stolen, though it seemed his sleight of hand was not as clean as he had thought. A fight had broken out over the dagger, and he kept to his own well enough ( a few scrapes, bruises, bloodied nose and fingers ) ...
Until she showed up.
From out of the darkness itself, the green-haired fiend ( he knew her, how could he forget the heel that dug into the snow. ) emerged from hiding and brought upon the scuffle new attacks. Loki held his own for as long as he could, but she seemed to him a master of combat herself. It was as if she could read his movements before he even could - something that not even Sif or most of Asgard's finest had ever done.
Following her appearance were the annoying androids of the police department, and thus the illegal weapons deal had been put down as swiftly as it had ever gone up.
And that was where he was now. In a cell. Two pairs of cuffs on his wrists in the front ( he had already slid out of several pairs from the back, he was petty ) he sat on the "bed" in his holding cell, staring at the grey stone floor nursing his wounds. Nothing but quietness, a chair, table, and iron bars in front of him. His thoughts raced, but his sleep-deprived mind struggled to form much of anything except to admonish himself for being caught at all.
The preferred outcome in this place? Escape.

God of mischief, Man of chaos. Born seemingly of the unpredictable, uncontrollable winds and ways that had befallen the universe since its very birth. Lover of the darkness ( searching for the light within ).
Loki had been doing as he was often known among palace engagements, merely observing from the shadows. To him, this was merely a civilization akin to Midgard, but none of these people acted as that realm. The answers they gave him were tedious, all the same. No, to find what he needed, he must look beyond this realm.
There were those who stood out against the placid scenery. And though are few, they may be what he needs.
One such creature took his fancy. He did recognize the species of his own world, but the moth-like features and graceful steps were certainly intriguing to behold. More than that... it had a divine nature about it.
He took care in his approach, something of his old teachings came forth of how to perform appropriate greetings, despite desiring to remain anywhere away from the festivities. ( Now was not the time to seek his own comfort. )
Tumblr media
❝ Excuse me, good sir. ❞ Loki called, smile donning face. Hands clutched behind the back. ❝ I hope you may forgive my intrusion, but I seek to inquire of your origins. In truth, you rather stand out among these mortals. ❞ Surly, the creature already knew that.

@magnusmodig \ / Hearths Rising Starter
He really didn't see what all the fuss was about.
All of this... tradition felt gaudy to him; truly what was the point of hanging up lights to begin with? To simply w a s t e electricity? Frivolous indeed. It seemed he was not able to enter a shop without being assaulted with the smells of ( artificial ) mint, the only comfort being in the smells of ginger that followed...
No. He shan't grow sentimental for such things.
He was on a mission to discover the mysteries that lay in this world, and further still how he might escape ( he may be dead, but if he were alive here, surely he could be brought back? He'd made more marvelous returns in the past ). Of course, he was not alone in his exit strategy.
Upon observation, he'd taken a keen interest in this world's... Traverse Trove. To him, it was reminiscent of the portals that brought the lost things of the universe to Sakaar. There was no way to tell where it would lead should one enter... that would be a test for another time.
For now, he and Thor had agreed to meet at the festival Tinker Town, in order to acquire supplies ( for free ) to potentially contact passing vessels... or the Statemen. Loki knew the truth, but he would not give Thor reason to doubt - not until Loki knew his fate might be reversed.
He was waiting outside the establishment, impatient as ever and mildly agitated as he fiddled with the scarf around his neck ( the bruises wouldn't go away, he had no magic to hide them. ) Soon enough he saw the figure approach, though Loki made no motion in response.

❝ You're Late. ❞ Was all he said.

Perhaps Loki ought to allow himself to let go of his rigid exterior. There was always the possibility that Loki could find any means in which to enjoy himself in any given situation. His mother ushered similar advice to him during the festivities where he felt at his most outcasted.
... and yet, he still never took heed of those words. Nor would he in this place. He would not get comfortable with complacency in this powerless state he had been given.
Though he found it remarkable still, that others, much like himself, seemed to be settling in for reasons he could not discern.
One such individual had captured his attention, a blue-haired man in strange clothes was admiring a glass container found within a 'pet shop' ( how ludicrous, truly. an establishment that sold such short-lived creatures had no use to the god. )
His curiosity had gotten the better of him, so he approached.
Tumblr media
❝ You certainly seem taken by these. ❞ He commented, swiftly, cooly, as he observed the array of colorful creatures that dwelt in this prison.
❝ Pray tell, what purpose do you have staring through these windows aimlessly? ❞

It seemed the reach of this place was far greater than Loki could have realized. What tremendous power this world had - the ability to summon creatures everywhere across the universe and strip them to nothing ( He shifted between amusement and anger ).
And yet for all of his vast knowledge of the universe and the people that dwell within; even outside of Asgard's protections, there was so much to understand still. In any other situation, he would be gladdened by the challenge. ( At another time, he would not feel as if his very life depended on knowing these uncertainties. )
Still, as he had always done when faced with challenges that required the scaling of mountains, he would climb them. He'd earned his strength once and there was no reason he might not begin to do it again.
It was not optimism speaking, it was ambition.
Besides the unfamiliar landscape and the uncanny Midguardians that paraded about the streets, he sounds still those who did not belong to this place, and more to the point, may be of his own.
Elven? For certain, though neither Light nor Dark it would seem to him ( though he did have a strange aura about him, Loki could not discern it ) still, Loki felt no hesitation in approach, donning as friendly of an appearance as he could summon.
Tumblr media
❝ I beg your pardon, sir. ❞ He spoke clearly, to the point. ❝ Do you hail of Alfheim? If you do not mind my inquiry, of course. I merely seek my barings out in this ... strange, realm. ❞

Loki had taken to the streets. He sought answers to this place and was desperate to find something that would send him down a path towards escape ( to where? anywhere but here ).
Those who appeared to be local were of no use to him. They were all fools who spoke of nothing but how 'wonderful' this city was and if he wanted to purchase their bread.
Ignoring the food in his arms ( he required sustenance anyway . ) he sought instead those who were in a similar position to him. Luckily for him, they stood against the plain backdrops of buildings.
His searches had taken him late into the evening when he finally managed to locate an individual. Red hair and... oh by the norns. ( how were there two individuals here missing their eyes? )
Tumblr media
❝ I beg your pardon. ❞ He called cordially ( surprisingly . )
❝ I am Loki, of Asgard. I desire to ask you a few questions regarding this... place. I can assure you they shall be brief. ❞ He did not intend to speak longer to him than he needed to. Of the way he carried himself and his habits, Loki had doubts of his usefulness.
