Favorite thing about Donna though! That's a very good question, I really can't pick because I deeply love all of her and think every aspect of Donna ties together wonderfully to create a very interesting character that just appeals more to me personally. Though, if I have to answer, I'd say that it's her personality! Sure, most of it comes from fan interpretation BUT, I just love it as well as that the mainly softer and more timid self she mainly shows (and ofc along with the darker, unhinged, etc. side 💕) feels more natural for her because of her in-game behavior. To me at least!!

Before we get into this, everything down here is written from my memory of RE8 and Resident Lover. Just in case anything is a bit inaccurate or incorrect

We can't forget that in-game she was the impressive mastermind of a terrifying labrynth, and the hallucinations she used to mess with Ethan's mind to draw him further into the "game" were very interesting as well as scary. I've heard from others, and I myself agree that Donna's house is the scariest part of RE8. She herself may appear to be a very timid, mysterious and grief-stricken woman but she is very smart (Miranda's notes of her being "mentally underdeveloped" are likely due to things like mental illnesses she may have, or if she is neurodivergent. We don't know because it doesn't say but clearly she can be a very capable individual, even if she wasn't to Miranda's standards...which were really just trying to get as close to "perfection" as possible. Not even Miranda's more "favored" children were good enough for her true purpose. Just good pawns and fodder). It's clear she knew what she was doing and regardless of why (whether it's because she wanted to toy with Ethan or simply out of desperation to follow orders and either keep him there or kill him), she was definitely creative, calculated, and targeted deeply personal things about Ethan (that being his wife Mia and him being a father).

But just looking at her and reading up on her (as well as listening to her only voice line- which I'm still sad about), you can see she's very mysterious and reserved. Angie is quite literally the most "personality" anyone sees in comparison to what Donna brings. I love that it leaves so much room for you to mess around with things but also that through so little you can really see a lot at the same time.

The fan game Resident Lover especially had me falling in love with Donna lmfaoo. She's just so sweet and shy and jumpy. <3 But then you can clearly see multiple times that she's not some helpless thing. She can and will take charge and be serious (and even dangerous/frightening) when she needs to (this is also shown in other routes). And then when her and MC get together, she's just constantly showering them in love and affection and id be lying if I said I didn't absolutely adore that XDDD I think Resident Lover did a good job of making Donna feel like well...Donna! While also adding to her.

Honestly I like most interpretations of Donna, especially when they incorporate all those different aspects. 😄😄

- Toby and Clockwork were never really prepared to be parents ... At all.

- But that never stopped them from trying their best!

- It helped that Jack and Nina had already had a child, so they could go to them for help

- And they needed A LOT of it

- Even though Lee was a relativity silent and easy baby to have around, Clock and Toby were both still stressed out

- "What if we're not feeding him enough?" "What if we're feeding him too much?!" "WHAT IF HE GETS SICK?!"

- The entire first 4-5 months are full of stress and mental strain that they really didn't need to be put under

- By the 6th month, they'd calmed considerable and started focusing on milestones

- a silent battle took place over whether the kid would say Mom or Dad first

- he said "Jeff." ...ಠ⁠︵⁠ಠ

- Maybe having Jeff as a babysitter so often was a bad idea XD

- Then about 2 years later, Aaron was born

- He was a lot more difficult than Lee had ever been

- Constant crying, got sick very often and always ended up having to get Jack for help

- He caused Toby and Clock a lot of needed worry which was finally warranted

- But as time went on, like most babies, he gradually calmed much to relief of the parents.

- As they got older, the brothers never really understood anything but the forest, they knew everyone but their parents as an aunt or uncle

- Toby took both boys out before at night to see Connie, of course from afar after they asked why they don't know their grandparents

- "Why don't we know Mom's parents?"

- Similarly to the way Sally was lied to about the murders, also goes for the second generation

- Aaron had literally no idea and was freaked out for like, a week

- Though, he wasn't sure about following in their footsteps...unlike Lee, who had been on a few missions with Alice already

- While on the fence, Aaron joined his brother and Alice on missions and realized he was extremely bad at handling gore

- "You've seen this stuff before, what's your problem?"

"Is...he okay?"

"He'll be fine."

- He was NOT fine, he was mortified

- He decided he probably wouldn't ever kill anything and became a total pacifist

- Instead, he opted to help out Jack with her "Doctor Stuff or whatever."

- While Alice and Lee spent most of their time doing missions and really getting into it and enjoying themselves...

- "OHHHHHH LEE'S GOT A GIRLFRIENNDDDD!!!!"

What kills you is, for the most part, he is perfect. You've truly never felt this amount of love, tenderness or care in your entire life. So what if his eyes widen just at the sight of you enter a room- like he was meeting a deity of some kind. Isn't it wrong to ask less of him? Of a man so utterly devoted to you?

"What are you thinking about, angel?" Lyo's concerned eyes stare daggers into yours, waiting patiently for your reply.

"What am I-? Oh... nothing." After you speak there's nothing but silence for a minute or two

"It's just that-... Well... I know something is wrong so- can you just tell me so I can fix it?" He leans in as you quickly pull away, last time you let him 'fix' an issue between you and someone else your friend of two years sustained some pretty nasty bruises, bruises way too specifically placed to have been caused by a tumble in the dirt.

You let it slide then- 'just once' you thought. Since your so called friend had turned into a real jackass after having a few too many, and refused to take no for an answer. You didn't even bother to start a fight even when you knew Lyo was lying to your face about just walking him home, the quick glimpse of fresh scratches on his knuckles where all the proof you needed at the time.

But then there was that 'accident' on the staircase, the scared glances that surround him, the constant hovering, and the multiple monologs about how deeply he loves you, how he will always protect you; how you were like a divine being, taking pity on the likes of him-.

'He doesn't mean to- he doesn't know he's wearing me down... He doesn't mean to.'

"Please- just let me handle it myself. I'll be alright." you give him a reassuring glance before an abrupt

As his hand meets the table. Instantly, you look at him with a mixture of shock, confusion and fear.

"I'm sorry! I'm so-so sorry! I didn't mean to! I just-!" Lyo's posture shrinks- like he's trying to make himself look as non-threatening as possible after seeing the look on your face.

You'd never seen him like that before. He was always incredibly calm with you-

"-please dont be mad at me, angel!" He reaches to cup your face in his hands "I just want to protect you... that's all...... GODDAMN IT! This is all his fault! YOU KNOW THAT?!"

Your mouth is still agape as you watch him unravel. 'Did he want to hit me?' 'Was he going to hit me?' were the only thoughts going through your head as you watched him pace.

Finally after a minute you blurt out

"I can't do this anymore. For a second there- I genuinely thought you might hurt me. I can't do this, I'm sorry, I need to leave."

He freezes.

"Don't." Lyo's voice came out as half threatening, half pleading. Like he was dreading what he would have to do next.

"I need you. Please- I just want to protect you! You know I would never hurt you! Ever! I just got a little frustrated! That's all! Don't be stupid, you know I'd never ever hurt you! I'D NEVER HURT YOU!?! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN THINK THAT?! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH I-"

"Stop!", "I made my decision."

"So what? Mine doesn't matter then? What am i supposed to do without you? I have nothing without you. You aren't just the greatest thing in my life- you- you are my life!" Desperation clang to every word Lyo spoke, making your heart ache.

He could tell you were caving, as pools began to cloud your eyes you croak out a pitiful "ok..." before feeling his warm embrace.

Lyo gently pets your head, holding you tightly for a good few minutes while you cry. Knowing that just like a moth drawn to flame, He has you exactly where he wants you, no- needs you.

Not me absolutely bingeing through the last 40 hours of Cyberpunk 2077 over the last 3 days, nope. I was actually shaking before starting the final questline, because there were so many FEARS about what might happen at the end (probably as much as V was shaking himself :’D)

All I knew was, there are several endings, some are better, some are worse, but zero specifics. In some regards, what I imagined, was a lot worse, in others it was exactly what I imagined, in other bits it was a lot worse than I expected but in a bittersweet kind of way?

I’m not 100% happy with the ending I got, but mainly due to a lack of hyper-specific dialogue choices I would have wished for during the ideal ending in my head XD But for my V I think it was the best outcome and also fitted him and his choices. So yay! My heart was a little bit cracked, but not ripped out in the way other games have done it with their endings (*side-eyes Mass Effect 3*), because I feel like my choices did matter overall.

MASSIVE Spoilers under the cut, so if you haven’t completed the game yourself, do not read!!!

I got the Sun ending! V lives, somewhat, yay xD

One of my biggest fears and worst case scenarios I was imagining was in relation to Jackie actually. I had the outcome that Arasaka took his body after the Coup (will do that differently next time though, now that I know of the alternatives... yes I read up so much stuff on the wiki tonight after finishing, finally xDD). So when Takemura tells you this, Arasaka took his body, probably put him through Soulkiller, etc. my immediate thought was “holy shit, please don’t let him show up in some evil twisted way during the ending just to have me suffer” (but also, that would have been so good XD). Didn’t happen though, thankfully xD

I was on quite good terms with Johnny actually, which I did not expect to be at all, see also my previous rants on the topic XD Letting him take the wheel scared me probably just as much as V, and his “just talking to Rogue about Adam Smasher” night of escapades didn’t really help ease that anxiety xD I’m not sure if I had high enough friendship for the secret ending, but I will reload my save to try (but will not attempt that ending til my next playthrough, bc admittedly, my V isn’t built for a suicide mission xD)

What made me the saddest about the Sun ending really is that V isn’t really that present or happy (for obvious reasons, of, you know, STILL impeding death), and that his relationship is suffering under it. But I like to imagine, given the slight open-endedness of that ending (ha), if someone can pull that final mission off, it’s V, and that Mr B. will be able to help him, and he’ll get some well deserved rest and happily ever after. Already wrote a whole fic in my head lying up wide awake in bed for three hours XD What I probably loved the most about the Sun ending is V’s penthouse XD It’s weird, I know, but I often started or ended my gaming sessions in his flat looking out of the window. So everytime I booted up the game I look out and see that nice lush garden and cool architecture across the street and think “man, whoever lives there has made it, wonder if I can go there myself at some point later”. Yes, I can!! It made me cry out loud once I figured out where that penthouse was xD Also, what kind of made the ending for me a lot, in terms of, “what fits my character best” was the ride in the AV to the Afterlife mirroring my corpo V’s ride in the AV to Lizzie’s in the very beginning super well (I have zero clues about the Streetkid and Nomad prologues - no spoilers in the comments please! - but maybe there’s a scene like that in those, too). But yes, the circle of life and all, you know *strums guitar*.

I didn’t expect Johnny to grow on me as much as he did during that last stretch of the game, and him having to go for V to get a final chance at living did make me really sad. I still don’t think I’d be able to go down the alternative route where he is the one to walk out of the tower. Waaay too attached to V by now, sorry Johnny xD But you’ll never be forgotten, and I mean in a way legends never die. And maybe it’s not the last Night City ever saw or heard of him.

What else... the other main story characters! I think what annoyed me a little bit was that sliiiight railroading into Panam’s romance, when you’re just wanting to be nice. I enjoy her as a character a lot, because she’s loud and unapologetic, but also has a really sweet and soft side about her. I like the Aldecaldos very much, too. But when I notice I’m being railroaded it’s a hard pass for me, sorry xD

Then Judy... Judy is love, Judy is life. Her final quest was one of my favourites, and the one apart from the ending the quest that made me cry the most, probably. I love that she stays in contact with a befriended V even after leaving the city. The little updates, how happy she is now that she left the city behind, are really really lovely. Also, I love her texting style XD *types one line then hits send, rinse and repeat* - because I tend to do that too. Also, from the moment she mentions she goes diving I wished she’d take V along at some point - so when she calls about it I again screamed irl about it XD Oh, Judy... I have a female V in my head for you, but no idea when I’ll get to play her XD

I would have wished for something similar with River, him keeping in touch a bit more, because I loved his (messed up) storyline a lot, and I would have loved a few more interactions afterwards! I think I need to space it out more next time to have more of him xD

Then Kerry, another heavy case of “is love, is life” omg. His questline was the perfect mix of feels and fun like *chef’s kiss*. Same with River kind of, I wish there had been even more quests with him, but since you only meet him very late in the game it still felt like you had a chance to get to know him better with not too much else going on simultaneously. And him being more involved in the main story than River, too! For his final quest, the beginning of the boat tour was one of the best scenes in the game for me, like oof... Got me really really emotional actually. And then... CARNAGE!! I loved it, love Kerry, 100000/10.

Then Takemura... man, you know, it’s a crime he’s not a romance option, but in hindsight, knowing his possible fates now, I think that might have actually killed me. I’m tempted to go down the Arasaka ending route just once for the sole reason to get more Takemura time really. Fuck everyone else on that path with a corkscrew XD But yes, A+++ character design with him, complex, layered, relatable (esp. for my Corpo V), foodie, but also absolutely blind when it comes to his loyalties and honor. All with good reasons, but aaahhh... let me fix him!! Let me change him!! XDD  Also he had the best first appearance of any of the main story characters imo! Epic badass.

But yes... what a fucking blast that was. Can’t wait for a replay with some slightly better choices here and there, trying the other lifepath quests, trying some different endings maybe, and skilling my V better XD There’s so many options to skill them, it’s insane, but knowing my fighting style (or not fighting - stealth ftw!)  much better now and what the max level roughly is I think I can make more informed choices. Really looking forward to a replay - also with a lot less anxiety now, and a little bit of faith in complex, bittersweet endings finally restored XD

I just watched red, white and royal blue at hmm, let's see. 3:24 am it is currently. I swear vacation has wrecked my sleep schedule but whatever.

But what I do know is that there's zero chance I will fall asleep now, because the movie is spinning around in my head.

I fucking loved it though, granted I didn't read the book recently, so I'm a little fuzzy on what's different. But the fucking turkey mate, funny as hell. And Henry's sweetheart when they were still hating eachother. It was so perfect. And like it was such a wholesome movie. I was smiling all the time. Every little interaction. From their sneaky insults to the witty banter to the sweetness at the end. It we all so good.

I did kinda miss Nora in there a little bit. Like I had hoped she would make more of an appearance, same with Bea honestly. But I did absolutely love one of the first scenes where Henry just fully skips Alex. Like the way they mirrorred eachother, that was so funny. And also generally the interactions between both sibling pairs I loved that.

And Zahra, I absolutely love that woman. Especially when she let Alex call Henry. I loved her. She was amazing. And the pillow fight. So good xDD

Okay, but Nora needs to get another shout out, also with the talk with Alex like I loved that so much. She's insultively supportive, which is probably normal sibling behaviourl but I fucking loved her.

The grandpa was kinda iffy to be fair, but like idk, the actor looks so kind. I just can't help it. Like I knew that guy wasn't all bad. He wasn't all sharp angles like Philip. He had his own ideas about what Henry should do, but ultimately he did let Henry choose his own path.

Honestly. The conclusion to Henry's arc kinda made me tear up. To see queer characters be so massively supported always breaks my heart, in a good way. Especially because you could feel how scared Henry was, he wasn't ready at all. I had the same thing with Nimona. They both felt/thought that the world (would) hate them for their queerness. But it takes sometimes one, sometimes many people to show that they can be accepted. And I guess it's something I relate to too, even as somebody who is out and has a supportive family. There's still always that voice in my head telling me how dangerous it is to be openly queer, so to see characters receiving that sense of safety and acceptance feels liberating.

I was also really glad they brought attention to Alex being bisexual. And that that was accepted as well, same with Nick in Heartstopper. Like it's important to have characters be like that and change the narrative around it. I used to identify as bisexual, I do feel attraction to all genders, but I don't really do labels anymore. But like, when I identified as bi I erased my attraction to men a lot, as an afab person. There's just this joke that bisexual people, especially women I think, kinda hide that attraction to men. At least I saw a lot of memes like that back then. So I am really glad that bisexual characters emphasize it more now. That they aren't gay or straight. Younger me would have really benefitted from seeing something like that.

So in conclusion, I really really loved it. And like, you should definitely watch it if you haven't yet.

*Claps hands* OK, LET'S TALK about the Obi-wan show...

This show is a mixed bag in every sense of the word, all the way down to acting, script, presentation, etc. So let's get as briefly as possible into it:

(MASSIVE SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT-- good things talked about at the end. Proceed with caution!!!)

Acting: This is probably the strangest bit of the whole show- either you have people absolutely killing it like Ewan McGregor (obligatory), Indira Varma (standout for such a brief time on screen as our regretful Imperial officer), and Baby Leia herself Vivien Blair, or you're stuck with really, and I mean really, stiff performances like whatever's going on with all those inquisitor actors. Then there's folks like Kumail Nanjiani who does a great and admirable job as Haja trying his best to throw a little bit of light comic relief into an extremely dark story. It's truly a bizarre, full-spectrum of acting abilities both good, bad, and in the middle. And the episodes are only about 30 min long so the whiplash from talent to talent really hits you like a mack truck. It's really, really weird. Was this cast in a hurry? I don't know what to make of it. "Bizarre" really is the best word for it.

Script: 30 minute show, but there's this remarkable "hurry up and wait" aspect to every episode. Either things are happening break-neck or we're spending 50 fucking years in a chase scene. I was actively fast-forwarding through a lot of those moments of just....people aimlessly running around very fast or slinking around very slowly....and missed absolutely nothing. And yet there's this feeling, this press, that somehow they *still* didn't "have enough time" to do everything they wanted in an episode? God forbid you cut down one of those chase scenes, though- the whole show might collapse! /sarcasm

The lines are also interesting, and I believe there's a strong correlation between their quality and the actor saying them as goes with a lot of the nature of star wars- but not always. One of the final lines of ep. 3 of "Now we'll never catch him!!" was so fucking random and cliche- not to mention wrong!! (y'all have been chasing his ass across planets for three episodes- what do you mean one more jump makes it suddenly impossible now? What?? xDD), that I actually laughed out loud when I heard it. Absolutely terrible. But then on the other side you have great performances out of Ewan, and the guy playing Uncle Owen, etc. where the cliche star wars angst comes out beautifully cooked. There seems to be a strong vibe of actors who get what they're doing here in Star Wars, and actors who are absolutely lost for how to be in this world, especially out of the villains. Even now I'm sitting here trying to figure out what's going on....maybe the writer/s just can't do bad guys?? Which is a shame because Star Wars badguys are always some of the best. Well, not in this show! It's a mess!

Presentation: This is not a show for the casual TV viewer. This isn't even a show for someone who's watched all nine movies and maybe some of the side movies. If you were a casual viewer, or even a casual star wars fan, you would hate the shit out of this- for all of the reasons mentioned above, it runs so hot cold, and quality whips back and forth so hard....if you came into this looking for a Highly Polished, Quality TV Show, you will throw your remote away in disgust. BUT!! Are you one of those dumb fuckin weirdos like me who lives for more lore crumbs and reaches for them with greedy little raccoon hands no matter how ridiculous the script and bad some of the performances are? Are you someone who knew, the second the first episode started, that you were watching the execution of Order 66 before they even said anything? And other shit like that? Then this show, quite literally, is made for you. There is so much going on, so many small details, that if you weren't one of us who has spent literal hours writing meta about stupid fucking star wars over the past few years, it would all go over your head, and possibly even confuse you, further ruining your enjoyment of this show. This is a show made for the nerds who read way too much into things. And that is why the bits of bad script and moments of shit acting don't matter. Because we, the nerd fans, aren't in it for that, not really. All we need is Obi-wan to be legit, for Anakin to be as close to legit as possible (and he definitely is that), and for Baby Leia to be lovable and we're golden- so long as you stuff us full of lore, niche references, and more pieces of the giant main-story star wars puzzle. That's yet another reason why casual viewers will not like this show. It's quite clearly not meant for you.

The Good Things: Jamesssss Earl Jones, boys and girls!!! I was screaming! No one can handle a stilted star wars script and make it sound good like that man, and we needed him on this show so I'm glad he's here. Hayden also being the one under the armor is a nice touch, too, although it's hard for him to really shine under there- he's an emotive actor (which happily we get to see a sliver of in the field) and doesn't really have the physicality, I don't think, of Adam Driver, to pierce through the costume, plus it's a bulkier getup so he's already on hard mode and going to have a tougher time. While you could argue that there's already a precedent for Vader's body language, that's far, far into the future meaning he could really go to town now if he wanted. But eh, like I said. If anything it's a nitpick- no harm no foul. I think everybody's just happy it's Hayden and JEJ driving this character, as they should.

The sets are really cool on this show- you can see that's where the budget went. It's the only thing that's really made me go wow. These are feature-grade sets and it shows. Was it wasted on a 30min per ep 6 ep series? Ehhhhh.....depends on how recyclable all the pieces they made are. We'll never know. The sets are probably the only thing maintaining consistent quality on this show lol.

Obi-wan and Baby Leia are brilliant together and I'm loving all of it.

I AM LIVING FOR THE ORGANAS!! THE ORIGINAL ACTORS ARE BACK AND I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH BAIL ORGANA IS THE GOAT AND BREHA IS ALSO THE OG ACTRESS AND SHE'S ALWAYS BEEN SO PRETTY I CAN'T STOP LOOKING AT HER WHEN SHE'S ON SCREENNNNNNNN. Anyway I love them, perfect, excellence incarnate.

A lot of the featured background are better actors than some of the billed actors and that is LOL.

The Vader-Obiwan chase and fight at the end of ep 3 is, quite honestly, how I envisioned the chase between Kylo and Rey to go down in what I anticipated Episode VIII to be. I was watching it like "Yes!! They feel each other around in the Force like a punch in the heart!! This is so personal!! It's incredible love/connection gone twisted from anguish and tragedy!! Look at the desperation!!" Those are exactly the themes that should have played out between Kylo and Rey in Ep8 in a tone exactly as dark, menacing, and exquisitely painful/horrifying as that. That was the correct pitch!!! Although we never got to have that, it was nice to see it happen in SW at least SOMEWHERE, so that was a little cathartic. Part of me really felt like "Ah, the writer of this episode/scene understood what Ep8 was supposed to be and it's been translated here instead" haha. Ah well. It's just more fodder for all of us to gnaw on and use elsewhere.

I really really really really like how dark this show is. We hit the ground running starting scene 1 with the infanticide of Order 66, the intermezzo is a jedi teenager strung up over the gate of the town, a storm trooper gets sliced clean in half and the camera actually lingers on it (I laughed pretty hard, it was so extra I loved it), and then we have the emotional heart-stabbing between Anakin and Obi-wan that keeps hitting both of them over and over until Obi-wan is dragged, literally, through the embers himself. YES!! Gimme that dark shit!! Make it darker!! (but with good actors!) The ST should have had this tone!!! And I think the writer/s know this- this may all be their way of subtly righting that wrong how they can and I tip my non-existent hat at that. Thanks guys- we absolutely need more of this. And Ewan is the perfect person for all of this to play through and for Obi-wan to witness. And Obi-wan is the witness here- all he can do is stand back and watch, and that's what makes it even more brutal.

So! Do I recommend this show? That depends:

Are you a star wars meta writer? Yes, watch this show.

Are you a star wars fanfic writer? Yes, absolutely watch this show.

Are you obsessed with the lore and want all the pieces of the puzzle you can get? Yes, yes, watch this show!!

Are you someone who's watched all 9 sw films and thought they were pretty good and hey maybe you'll give this obi-wan show a shot? No, this show is not for you. The quality isn't good enough for that, and the information presented in it is so niche that what little of it is good will be lost on you because you haven't read the laundry list of books out there that would have filled in a lot of the gaps for you. This is not a show with explanation- this is a show that immediately drops you in a moment in time and expects you to already know how to swim.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on eps 1-3. I feel like at this point we know the sort of quality and experience we're getting here. See you at the end in about three weeks!

Rainy days with their s/o

ft. Yuma and Subaru

Warning: 18+ content below; don't read if you're a minor.

Yuma:

Well, since he can’t garden that day, he’s quite bored and out of ideas as to what to do.

He’d be kinda grumpy about it, especially if he was planning to plant something new that day.

“Man, out of all days it has to rain today.”

“You say that every time it rains. It’s mother nature’s way of doing things. You can’t change it.”

“Tch! What does she know?!”

He’d eventually get over the fact that he can’t garden and would sit down and watch a little TV with you, however, he’s always judging everything that’s on.

For example, if a movie or show is on and he doesn’t really like it, he’ll criticize the characters he finds stupid.

“That guy’s an idiot. That’s not how you get a girl.”

“Oh, and I suppose you know?”

“How do you think I got you, little pig.” He’d grin, making you hit him playfully.

On days like this, he tends to get clingy because he has nothing else to do.

Basically, without his garden he’s lost on what to do and will constantly tease and bother you throughout the day.

For example, since it’s rainy outside, you figured you’d make yourself a nice hot chocolate since it corresponded well with the weather.

However, as you were drinking it in the kitchen, he came in and decided to bother you about what you were doing.

“What are you drinking, little pig?”

“A hot chocolate.” You’d smile.

“Oh good, maybe you’ll gain a little and it’ll go where I want it most.” He’d grin while reaching behind to clutch your ass xDD.

“Yuma! Is that all you care about?!”

“Hey, this little pig’s ass belongs to me, so I get to decide how big I want it.”

If you two are cuddling on the couch, he absolutely refuses to let you go. He literally treats you as if you’re his body pillow.

“Yuma, let me go.”

“Fight your way out of it, little pig.” He’d grin, finding your struggle funny.

Since there isn’t much to do on days like this, he might allow you to style his hair any way you want and might even do yours.

Believe it or not, he's an expert at braiding. His favorite style is a fishtail braid and he thinks it looks beautiful on you.

His talent for braiding is so versed that even his brothers might comment as to how pretty it looks on you.

"It looks so . . . nice, Y/N." Azusa would comment.

"Wow little maso-kitty, it looks great on you. Did Yuma do that?" Kou would add.

"As expected, Yuma's known for such styles. You display it well." Ruki would admit.

“Yeah, only the best for my little pig.” Yuma would smirk, a subtle boast in his tone, causing you to blush at his statement.

He likes giving you piggy back rides throughout the house, but he’ll pretend to drop you just to scare you because he’s an asshole.

With all this boredom, Yuma might even get into asking you a few dirty riddles.

"Hey little pig, what's six inches long, goes in your mouth and is more fun if it vibrates?"

"Yuma!"

"Damn, little pig, I didn't know you could be so dirty-minded. I'm just talking about a toothbrush."

"Well it certainly didn't sound that way."

"My god! How could you think such a thing?” He said, acting oh-so innocent, a smirk soon appearing on his face, showing his true colors. “Oh, I get it, you wanted it to be something else."

“What are you-,”

“C’mere, little pig.” He’d say, tackling and pinning you to a nearby couch, starting to tickle you.

"No! Stop!'' You'd squeal, Yuma still continuing to tickle you as you laughed beneath him.

At one point he might grow fed up with the rain and decide to go outside anyways.

"Y’know what, this is stupid. C'mon, little pig. We're not gonna let a little rain tell us what to do." He’d say, taking you by your wrist and dragging you behind him.

"Yuma, wai-,"

He’d continue running and drag you outside in the pouring rain, making you get soaking wet as he picks you up into his arms and spins you around, his lips melding onto yours as he’d hungrily kiss you. He’d soon pull away and put you down, a scowl on your face due to him getting you drenched in mother nature’s tears.

“Yuma! You got me all wet!”

"Damn, I tried to make this romantic and you're complaining about getting wet?"

You’d sigh, “Getting romantic doesn’t mean getting wet!”

“Oh really?” He’d smirk. “Then how come my little pig gets wet every time I-,”

“Shut up!” You’d say, hitting him playfully, causing him to laugh.

Subaru:

Doesn’t care if it’s rainy or not since he doesn’t really go out.

However, if it’s raining at night time and he wants to go in the rose garden, he might be a little irritated about it.

And since he doesn’t have any hobbies, this is a little hard on him.

Plus, since he’s a tsundere, he'll act pretty annoyed in general, even going down to being a total ass.

Compared to Yuma, he gets clingy in a different way--that is, he secretly hopes that you’ll spend time with him since he can’t go out to the garden.

If you’re busy doing your own stuff tho, he’ll attempt to get involved but will act like he’s disinterested in doing so.

But it’s not like you mind him getting involved--that is, if he’s being genuine.

For example, you were once sitting down at the table working on your homework late at night, finishing up the last thing for your assignment when he walked in and came up behind you.

He placed his head in the crook of your neck, being curious about what you were doing as his gaze traveled to the assignment you were working on.

“What are you doing?”

“Homework.” You’d answer.

“Tch! What a pain.”

“It’s not so bad, I’m almost done.”

“Why don’t you just take a break?”

“Subaru, there’s really no point since I’m close to finishing.” You’d say going back to your work, but of course, the white-haired vampire had to persist.

He lifted up his face from the crook of your neck and took notice of your exposed bra strap. A smirk grew on his face and being the tease that he is, he’d take his fingers and use them to pull on it and have smack against your skin just to annoy you and throw you off guard.

“What the hell?”

“It’s not my fault it was right there, you should hide it better next time.” He’d smirk.

If the atmosphere is quiet and he sees you’re busy but doesn’t want to bother you, he’ll just watch what you’re doing whilst you’re busy working and shuffling around doing your stuff. With watching the way your body moves and the look of concentration on your face, it builds up a lot of sexual tension as he'd stand by with his arms crossed in hopes that something intimate happens or is initiated.

He’ll also try to get involved in other things you’d be doing as well, such as crafts.

After finishing your homework, you decided to do something a bit more productive, so you decided to go work on a painting you had been working on. You’d get pretty focused and concentrated, that is until Subaru came up behind you and decided to intervene.

“What are you up to now?”

“Painting.”

“Tch! Lame.”

He’d just continue to stand there, his figure still looming over yours. An idea soon hit you. You knew he was bored, so you decided to make painting time a little more fun.

Turning to him, you’d ask, “Hey, why don’t you help.”

“Huh?”

“Help me with the painting.”

“Do I look like Picasso to you?” He’d sarcastically remark.

“Subaru, it doesn’t matter what it looks like in the end. What matters is the fun you have when painting.”

“Tch! That’s stupid.” He’d retort.

“Alright, then. Suit yourself.”

Since he didn’t want to, you turned around and began painting again.

Deep down, Subaru secretly found your offer to be sweet since he really didn’t mind helping and wanted to spend time with you, but because he has a hard time expressing his emotions through his tough exterior, it always came off as if he didn’t care.

The white-haired vampire sighed, feeling torn between the feeling of wanting to do something memorable with you versus him getting caught doing something crafty by one of his brothers, but because you were more important, he decided to help.

“Alright, where do you want me to begin?” He’d say picking up a brush and sitting down next to you.

Taken back by his sudden decision, you’d say. “Oh, um, you can start over here.” You’d say, pointing to a blank space on the canvas. “Just paint it blue for now and then I’ll tell you what to do from there.”

He said nothing and began to do what you asked him, both of you working hard on the masterpiece.

While working, you’d occasionally sneak a few glances at him, seeing how his progress was going.

You honestly had to admit how attractive Subaru looked when he was concentrated on something, the way his eyes angled themselves as they narrowed in on the area he was working on, a few stray locks being in his face, his lips being ajar and lurid in the lighting as he continued to work.

To be honest, you definitely had to ask him to paint more often with you.

He definitely looked busy, an idea striking you again but in a more playful aspect. Since he looked so concentrated, you dipped your finger into the paint and smeared some on his cheek.

“Hey! What the hell?!”

You honestly couldn’t help but laugh, leading him to grin, “Oh, you think that’s funny? Then how about this?”

He’d be quick to dip multiple fingers in the paint and smear it all over your face. Accepting his challenge, you were quick to dip your hand in paint and smear it all over his face as payback, but this was far from over.

This ended up becoming an entire paint war, you and Subaru’s laughter echoing as you chased each other about the room and continued to smear and splatter paint on each other, both of you becoming a colored mess as the walls became vandalized in the process.

“I’m gonna get you, Y/N. You’re gonna look like a rainbow by the time this is over.” He’d grin, his hand fully loaded with paint being ready to rub it on you.

“Catch me if you can!” You’d tease sticking your tongue out, whilst running away from him.

It was all fun and games however, until Reiji came in and saw the mess, leading him to scold you two.

“What is the meaning of this?”

You both would be quick to blame it on each other as you’d talk over each other in unison, but Reiji didn’t care to hear excuses.

“Please see to it that this is cleaned up, otherwise I’ll have to discipline the two of you thoroughly.” He’d say, quickly taking his leave as you both laughed about what happened, soon cleaning it up together.

On rainy nights, he might show a bit of a soft side.

However, bear in mind that he will be quick to lean back into his tsundere side if he thinks the moment is getting too soft.

Likes to lay in his coffin with you if you both want to relax. He’ll act annoyed the entire time due to him being a tsundere, but secretly, he loves the fact that you’re next to him.

Likes to have you sit in his lap, while you’re reading, having a blanket draped over the both of you, whilst he’d rest his face in the crook of your neck. He honestly loves being so close to you, but he’d never admit it.

Here, he might take the opportunity to either place a soft kiss on your neck or bite your shoulder if he’s feeling thirsty.

He likes to cuddle and lay on top of you, but won't let you leave to do anything else because he's so clingy.

"Subaru, let me go."

"Not a chance."

When he’s not being soft, you two are bound to bicker about the stupidest things--like heights, for example, leading him to become a total mess.

"You're not taller than me, Y/N. We've been over this."

"Oh no?" You’d sass, stepping onto his coffin, being slightly taller than him now. "How about now?"

He scoffed, a grin appearing on his face as he’d playfully grab you and pin you onto a nearby wall, giving you the greediest and lustful kisses as you both kept laughing in unison.

Might let you style his hair, such as putting it up into a ponytail or style it in some other way.

You once put bows in his hair and he was so annoyed by it at first, but he eventually started to find it funny and began laughing with you, but that was all until Laito came in and took a picture of him with his new style.

“Fufu~, love the new look, Subaru. I’ve gotta say it suits you.”

“Why you!” He’d hiss, quickly running after him to make him delete the photo and beat the living crap out of him for doing that and seeing him in such a state.

On rainy nights, be prepared for a lot of fun and games because apart from paint wars, Subaru can take things to a whole new level.

Since it was raining and you couldn’t go anywhere, you decided to try out a new makeup style.

And of course, he’d have to get into your business and tell you he finds it stupid.

"Tch! Why do girls even wear that shit?!"

"Oh shut up, you boys like it. Don't lie.”

“Whatever.” He’d retort, saying nothing else.

You sighed knowing he was bored, so you asked the unthinkable once again to help him cope with not being able to go out because of the rain.

“Do you want help?”

“Help? With what?”

“With this new makeup style.”

“Tch! Seriously?”

“All you have to do is add the eyeshadow and lipstick. I’m not asking you to do anything crazy.”

Sighing and knowing it was better than doing nothing, he’d say, “Fine.”

He’d turn you to him so he could have better access to your face to apply the makeup.

“Just don't make me look like a clown.” You’d warn closing your eyes, allowing Subaru to put on the eyeshadow.

This is when he was struck with a mischievous idea, an infamous smirk twisting on his lips as he applied the makeup to your face.

And after what seemed like quite some time, he finally finished.

“Okay, it’s done.”

You’d sigh, “Finally, I can’t wait to see it. I’m sure it looks amazing.”

“You bet it does.” He’d mutter under his breath, it not being loud enough for you to hear.

Opening your eyes, you looked at your reflection in the mirror and screamed. The makeup looked so bad, maybe worse than a clown.

"Subaru!"

“Ha! What a face!” He’d scoff.

“Ass!” You’d hiss, chasing him around the room as he’d laugh.

Now because you couldn’t let him get away with what he did, as payback you decided to draw a mustache on him while he was sleeping.

When he woke up and saw his reflection in the mirror he grew shocked, and instantly knew it was you who had done it.

(Ik vampires typically can’t see their reflection in a mirror, but I’m not sure about DL here, but let’s just assume that he can considering it hasn’t been mentioned (maybe I’m wrong here??); and also because Reiji implied that some human-made vulnerabilities don’t apply to them, so this might not).

“Y/N!”

“Payback's a bitch isn't it?” You’d giggle, standing a few feet away from him.

“Now, you're gonna get it!” He’d say, chasing you around to no end, only leaving you to laugh as he kept running after you.

Thoughts and Reaction to Guiltrip!

Alright, so this one is a bit more of a serious one for me. But I'll be going in order of the episode so the more serious talk will be a bit further down! First thing we get is this lovely moment:

I've already addressed it in a post, but I'll say it again here. Guiltrip is episode 11, several episodes take place before Guiltrip that we haven't seen yet, so this is awhile after Marinette and Luka broke up. We also know that Marinette has always had feelings for Adrien, even when she was with Luka. Luka always knew that fact too. None of this is new and is to be expected, obviously, when Love Square is endgame. But! I also want to point out here that this is just a soft look. Very gentle, very common. I see people looking at each other both in real life and in other shows all the time. A look that says "I adore you". And I think it's sweet! Very subtle, but enough. Something's wrong with Rose. We never get told (in this episode anyway) what it is, but it's a chronic illness that's a worry in Rose's life, ever since she was young. I feel really bad for Juleka, knowing that her friend's been struggling with an illness, and whenever something happens she has to worry about it alone. Also that really sucks when you try to cheer somebody up and make a joke, that because you were mislead about a situation you end up making things worse. Poor Marinette. :c Adrien when he realizes he's bumped into someone (and the pink bubbles to remind us of Marinette's feelings for him):

Scroll up now and look at how Marinette was looking at Adrien earlier that day. It's the exact same look. Yet, something feels different from usual to me, idk. But continuing on. Marinette gets slightly jumbled with her words, but manages to give herself a kick and says nope not now! Good for her! You can't expect to change overnight, but she's working on it.

She looks to the side, gathering her surroundings for a split second and she misses the top step. I'd like to say that this is just a joke for the show but well, this kind of thing has happened to me a lot because I'm that much of a klutz so I feel for her here. (On Halloween I forgot that there was another step as I was walking down as I wasn't paying attention. I couldn't walk on my foot for 2 weeks. It's a serious problem, guys. Really. xDD) Marinette had told Adrien she's concerned it was something she said that upset Juleka and Adrien tells her while sometimes she doesn't make sense, what she says is never mean. This scene reminds me of when Ladybug's worried about something and Chat Noir's there to keep her grounded and remind her of how things really are. I very much appreciate seeing such a scene with Adrienette! Makes the Love Square much more rounded. Also the way he stops her and says let him go talk to her to try to help the situation and any possible misunderstandings from taking place. ;-;

Can I just say... oh my gosh. He went from determined, to hearing Marinette trying to comfort her, to looking with confidence "This girl is amazing." and the whole Ladynoir vibe I'm getting from this scene makes me happy. The thing that's unrealistic about this scene though is you expect to tell me that 8 kids went down those stairs and came up behind them and Marinette, Adrien, and Juleka didn't hear? XD Now here's where the serious comes in. Rose is hospitalized with an illness we don't know about, but has been a long-term thing that has Juleka really worried a lot. That must be so stressful :c I'm going to be honest and say I never really saw Julerose romantically. Like I can see how people do, but to me, I could see that their bond was really unique. It didn't really fit completely in the "BFF" category either. But if felt like there was more to them that I didn't really understand. I think the best example off the top of my head was during Zombizou, when Rose was going to help Chloe after she slid down Chat's stick and she went too fast for him to catch her. Juleka seemed especially worried and concerned for her. Rose never seemed to get concerned about Juleka in the same way Juleka was about Rose. Juleka's always been more protective and worried and it was always one of those things that made me go "hmm, interesting". Now this episode finally explains why and I'm honestly super glad for it. Because this kind of a relationship is not a common one in media, especially kids media. Partially because having such serious illnesses in young people is not particularly common, and having someone who's so caring and protective of that person is even less common. And most people probably don't realize how amazing it is to have health problems and then have someone in their life who acts like Juleka does for Rose. I had a life-threatening illness as a kid, one that still affects me greatly today. When in school, my friends knew about it without me having to say anything unfortunately, and while they didn't usually treat me differently, sometimes they were pretty ignorant and didn't understand why I wasn't "normal" like them. They asked questions that were harder ones to answer, and tended to forget my answers. I got a lot of "I know you have X problem but I still don't see why you can't..." as well as thinking I was lying if I said I wasn't well and couldn't go to a party, and that was hard to deal with, being limited in what you can do which makes you different and being judged for things out of your control. So seeing these kids who only know something's wrong with her, but are willing to do so much to make her life better and happier, not judging her at all, wanting to take care of her no questions asked was really heart-warming for me. I only had one friend during that time that was anything close to this. I never had to explain anything to him if I didn't want to. He never asked me personal questions I didn't want to answer. And he seemed to know what he could do to make things for me easier if I was having a hard time without me ever saying so. And this is another reminder to me that this show is aimed at kids. To show kids that they'll likely encounter someone around their age that's going through something serious like a health problem, and what that kid needs most is kindness and not to be made to feel like they're even more different from the other kids than they already feel. The way they handled that aspect of it for such a short, limited intro to it, I think they did good. I discussed this next bit with a friend. She mentioned it first, the trope where those with chronic or serious illnesses are usually an "inspiration". With this episode, you kind of get the feeling that because Rose's been through so much, she's therefore a really positive and bubbly person and it kind of gives off the vibe that if you don't view things the way she does, then you're not doing it right. "What matters isn't the problem, but how you handle it." While I agree with this, and that when you come out of or regularly deal with

such hard times, automatically trying to see the world better and brighter can easily happen, but it's not exactly realistic either, at least not to the extent Rose and other people the media has portrayed. For one, I think you have to have always been more of that kind of person from the start to realistically be so positive. As my friend said and I agree, positivity is just who Rose is, she's not who she is just for the sake of a trope. But honestly, when you've gone through something so difficult, and if life continues to throw you more difficulties on top of it, being positive so much can sometimes turn into a negative and be harmful too. When you've been through a lot, it's important to allow yourself to feel the negative too because it's part of dealing with such problems. And if you've been through a lot in life and you haven't come out of it being all sunshine and rainbows, always looking on the brighter side of things, that's perfectly okay. Life's hard and tends not to work out how we'd like, or even for the better sometimes. If being positive and hopeful after struggling is hard to do, you're not bad or wrong for feeling that way, everybody handles things differently. c: ANYWAY, moving on to the rest of the episode! Juleka being all irritated and worried that the class was going to expose her spilling Rose's secret xD While the situation isn't ideal, it's nice that this is the most involved she's seemed with everyone in the entire duration of the show. But Rose knows something's up, and I love that she talks to her about it and realizes that she should've told everyone herself instead of Juleka being the only one who knew. Which has been such a burden on her. (Oh no, what if this is a reflection of Alya knowing Marinette's Ladybug later on? I'm hoping not.) Ugh these children and how much they care about Rose! These kids are the absolute best. But then they kind of ruin it a little with going overboard. Which, frankly, I think is just ignorance of her situation really. I mean, we don't know what exactly is wrong with Rose. Just that she ends up in the hospital. If they knew about her condition, what causes her to get sick, what to look out for, etc, they'd be much more informed and much less likely to be frantic whenever something's not perfectly "normal" with her. All of these kids are going to be overprotective parents someday, aren't they?

Okay so like... are Adrien and Marinette going to question at all how Ladybug and Chat Noir showed up immediately after Juleka was akumatized, and no damage had happened outside of the school for it to be known to the public? Literally the only ones that could've possibly known were the class to have shown up that fast. ??? I am confusion. "I can't help my best friend face his father." "No, Nino..." Two things: The fact that THIS is what he's feeling guilty about? My poor Nino! Dx I just love him, he really doesn't get enough love and appreciation imo. Also, um, isn't Ladybug like right by Chat? Didn't she hear that? What? Idk but I feel like we're really missing something here. Usually we get things that are kind of hints, that make us wonder if they know right, but this? This is a bit too blaring-in-your-face, and there's two major things so close together. Really strange. Chat about to use Cataclysm on himself. Good grief that was not expected. Chat Blanc threatened to destroy himself along with everything else. Now Chat Noir while affected with negative emotions from an akuma almost Cataclysmed himself. This show really is getting deep and dark isn't it. o.o Also is there something Adrien needs to work out with someone...? Daizzi and Rose saying the other's so cute, ugh they're both so cute! And Pigella's costume and transformation is so adorable omg. Okay so Pigella's power allows people to see their biggest wish, the thing that'd make them the most happy and feel positive emotions. I know some people probably think "That's it?" Considering that Shadow Moth preys on people's negative emotions, such a power is actually extremely useful facing Shadow Moth. (And let's not forget, that while that's her power, she has the ability to fight and make a difference just from being transformed too) BUT AWWW Juleka's wish! And her face when Pigella said it aloud. ;-; Am I the only one wondering if Pigella may someday use her power on Shadow Moth and that's how they learn his motive? I'm so impressed with how Rose knew how to handle everything. She knew she can't slip up with Juleka. She knew to sneak away to detransform and come back as Rose. She knew to subtly give the Miraculous back so nobody would ever know she had it. Even Chat Noir had no idea! I don't know why, I'm just so very proud of that. "She doesn't need a Miraculous to be a superhero." She really has the characteristics of one, and I can't wait to see more of Pigella. Also I'm really wondering. This scene here:

All the kids that are part of that friend group are there...except Marinette and Adrien, of course. Alya knows why Marinette isn't there. But is she wondering about why Adrien isn't there too? LOL Marinette being like "I'm taking your pillow back, sorry! Gotta wait for it like everyone else." and the boys being like LE GASP. Marinette's right, she's not fragile! The fact Rose jokes with her and makes everyone laugh, and Chloe saying "Hey, why doesn't everyone laugh when I say something like that?!" Adrien: Because in your case, it's never a joke. Chloe: Hm, that's true. Which is super funny, especially how he just so casually says it. But also it really shows again how Chloe wants to be liked. She wishes the kids would laugh when she makes comments, but it's because they're said in a serious/obnoxious way, instead of making light of something like in Rose's case here, that they don't. I know she talked about it with Ladybug in an episode, but it again shows that that's what she'd like. All that needs to happen is someone helping her get there. Maybe Zoe and Luka will somehow help with that later on. Anyway, this was a really great episode! I feel like some things might not make quite as much sense as they should if we got it in order, but what can you do when Gloob has to air them? Even a friend of mine who's been doing what she can to avoid spoilers, still got spoiled. She's having to delete tumblr to avoid future spoilers because people can't help themselves and tag things properly. So thanks Gloob. :P All we wanted was the episodes in order. We've waited this long for S4, we can wait a bit longer. But they gotta make money I guess. I'm glad other countries are trying their best to keep it in order anyway. c: Guiltrip also has some really great Adrienette moments, and covered a more serious topic which was really interesting and shows how much the show's changing. Especially with some of the choice of camera angles and movements! Like the zoom-in on the door with Adrien and Marinette, the boys LE GASP scene. Very cool artistic choices! Looking forward to the episodes that come before this one to try to help fill in some of the gaps! And apologies to those that frequently read these posts from me, I started writing it up late and couldn't finish so you get it the day after instead. xD

Pal, I know need to ask, in relation to the interesting fiend card you just posted, do you happen to know or can explain _anything_ about LINK summoning?

Oh, yeah, I do and can actually!! I’ve played a few decks with links in them and they do have that like, massively complicated learning curve feel to them 😂😂 I think it’s exacerbated by like, the walls of text. Also the fact that, for me and my irl buddy anyway, it took us forever to even figure out what a link summon required, since we were used to the more consistent stuff from the earlier gens and links originally really fudged around with the game

On god it’s really not that terrible but I’m putting it under a read more due to the length and also the length of the pics XDD 

For me and my bud anyway, it wasn’t as intuitive as the stuff we already knew how to do with ygo (fusions 99% of the time you need polymerization, synchros you need tuners, etc etc), though I’ve pictured it now as vaguely reminiscent of xyz, in a way, vaguely, asterisk down on the vaguely. You look on the card for what you have to use to summon it, like xyz, but for links, there’s no real reliable way to blanket statement say what all link summons will want. You just don’t really know until you look at an individual card.

You need monsters, definitely. That’s really the only clear baseline you have to go on. A Link-2 monster will need you to use two monsters. A Link-3 will likely need three, etcetera, etcetera. Here’s a simple one I’ve used before:

Gaia Saber. Link-3, just flat out 2+ monsters. The arrows are where it gets complicated, and where I will give you a quick rundown of the field as of Master Rules 3:

and then Master Rules 4:

Mild digression, but basically, Master Rules 4 introduced Links. It also introduced the Extra Monster Zone, alongside what was renamed the Main Monster Zone (the regular Monster Zone). An extra deck monster, under Master Rules 4, had to be summoned first and foremost to the Extra Monster Zone. No excuses. If you summoned even one monster there, you could not summon anything else from your extra deck, even into the Main Monster Zone, unless you incorporated Links somehow in there.

The arrows, under these rules, were what allowed you to have multiple extra deck monsters on the field; so I’d summon Gaia Saber, the Lightning Shadow, for example, and since his arrow points down, hurray!! I’d be able to summon another extra deck monster below him into the Main Monster Zone!

If I summon a Link monster below him, I could theoretically summon more extra deck monsters to the field. Like, if I had a second Gaia Saber, and his arrows now point to left and right monster zones, I could summon another extra deck monster to either of these spots.

If I summon, say, a Fusion monster in either of these spaces, I cannot link anything else extra deck up to them. None of the other types have arrows :(

I’m nearly certain this is the Master Rules VRAINS would’ve been playing under, but I haven’t actually watched the anime, so I don’t know what they would’ve been doing with that 😂

Luckily, though, in 2020 Konami basically reversed like 99% of that and said “hey, okay, Links still have to follow these rules! Pendulums too! But all the other extra monsters are free to go wherever they want again. Go wild. Now you guys can give us your money again, right?”

… Well, maybe not that last part, but for sure like a huge chunk of players were upset that their old methods of dueling were absolutely banned from competitive play at that point, so.

Master Rules 5!! The only thing that matters now are the arrows in our next example. We still have the same field, but new monsters. This is what’s important:

If I take Tingangle Acute Cerberus:

and Link summon it to the field, I’ll need 3 Tindangle Monsters. They go to the grave, yadda yadda yadda. This guy comes on the field. He’s in the Extra Monster Zone. And if I have, for example, Tindangle Base Gardna on the lower right of it:

The arrow pointing to it means Tindangle Acute Cerberus gets 500 ATK. 

If your opponent summons a monster into a space their Link monster is pointing at in this set up, you can activate Tindangle Base Gardna’s effect, tribute it, special summon another monster, and then go on your way, because bingo presto, you have link summoned and used the arrows to do things!

This would also work if your opponent had a Link monster with an up arrow pointed to your field and you summoned a monster into the spot your opponent’s is pointing at, afaik. That’s also where it can get complicated.

I’m pretty sure that covers the basics though, so I do hope that makes sense 😂😂😂 it sure did get long but good gosh I love talking about cards fhdjfkd thanks for asking yuusaris ✨✨

You’ve just finished making dinner when Marcus entered the kitchen with a frustrated groan, poured himself a glass of water and downed it at one draught.

“There you are,” you smiled, turning away from the stove to face him.

“Oh hi, mi amor,” he returned a tired but tender smile.

“Hard day?”

“Ah, you have no idea,” Marcus let out a deep sigh and rolled his eyes. “I mean why do all my uh… colleagues have to be so overdramatic?.. Earth’s mightiest heroes, goddamn…”

“Hey,” you said softly. “Come here.”

As he came closer, you let your fingers run through his soft hair, took off his glasses and placed soft kisses on both of his eyelids, his nose, and finally on his lips.

“Now you’re home, and at least until tomorrow you don’t have to think about work, okay?”

He nodded, cupping your cheek and urging you to kiss him again, this time deeper, sweeter; the warmth of his tongue in your mouth making you melt. No matter how many times this man kissed you, it always made you weak in the knees as if for the very first time.

“You know what, I think my hero deserves a little reward for all the hard work he does,” you hushed, hands roaming up and down his torso, gently pushing him to lean against the kitchen counter as you reached his belt.

“What, right… now?” he mumbled, gulping nervously.

“Why not?” you smirked playfully as you wrapped your hand around his length, gave it a couple of pumps and let your thumb gently circle the tip, causing him to shiver. “It’s just me and you here for now so… Let me take care of you.”

Marcus let out a shaky breath as you knelt in front of him, his fingers sinking into your hair. You on your knees like that - this view alone made him twitch with lust. Plus, you were wearing that cute dress he liked so much on you, as if you knew... Well, of course you knew. He was like 99% sure you put it on just for him.

He couldn’t suppress a gasp as your tongue made contact with his skin, licking its way from the base to the top. Marcus didn’t realize it at first, but with all honesty, he’s been alone for way, way too long. For a second you both just stared after her, and then you had to bury your face into his neck again as you burst out laughing.

“Oh gosh,” you whispered, cheeks flushing. “I mean… If she'd come over only like… five minutes earlier…”

“Damn. I’ve never been so close to failing a mission,” Marcus snorted under his breath, causing you to laugh even louder.

I absolutely LOVED this episode!! It was so good. And the DRAMA y'all!!! The ANSGT!!! Lovely lol xD <333. Seeing Marjan's side interspersed the others looking for her was just mMH! Amazing :DDD. Also I am LOVING these Marjan storylines we're getting!! A slay for real :D. She deserves it and she is serving SO HARD!! I don't usually say serve but it felt appropriate here lol. Anyway yeah it was an amazing, and super emotional 😭😭💔, episode :DDD!! So great 🥰🥰❤️. And so many nice happy moments in the beginning!! Or sweet moments :D. Especially with the rest of the 126 been after they find out she's missing but also on Marjan's side, like with Mouse, even if (though) she was just Marjan hallucinating herself :)). Anyway!! Lovely ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Marjan! Our lovely girl :'). AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! She did so good this episode 😭. She slayed so hard :D. Everything she did to escape and fight Grant was just incredible, especially given that she was actually (physically) doing it all alone. Like, dude, she was in a car crash and then she got SHOT o.o! Girl was going through it xd. And I REMEMBER saying last week (not technically by the time I'm actually writing this but shhh) with the promo "maybe that's young Marjan or something?" but I didn't think I'd be RIGHT!!! Not totally, anyway xD. Then I was like, okay so she's not real, but Marjan hadn't seen the car yet, so how is she imagining her (after other people didn't acknowledge her)? And then it WAS MARJAN!!! I also figured the flowers would be a family member using the nickname and I just- aGH!! And I'm so proud of myself for guessing that (and the whole thing in general lol) :DD! Anyway, I feel awful for her - hasn't she had enough traumatic car crashes?? As a kid, in the beginning of season 3, and now?? - but she was amazing this episode :')). Everything with finding out it was her was just 😭😭😭. And even before then, just for Mouse thinking she's a separate character, and then it's extra heartbreaking when you think back on it after finding out it was Marjan :'((. D':, but also :')) because it was just so good xd. Anyway, yeah <3. She did amazing at her job this episode (staying alive xdd). I love her so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode! I thought it was super amazing, and I'm glad we got to see all of the 126 (minus Tommy unfortunately) helping find Marjan - that was really great :'). They're my family your honor 😭. I don't mean that literally, just kind of in a "they're my babeys" kinda way xD. Anyway, we got to see everyone, but we still got a good focus on our wonderful girl Marjan <333. She did so well, and I am so glad she's okay 😭😭😭❤️ xd. I'm also lowkey kinda glad Mouse wasn't real, because any more casualties (not that I'm sad about Grant, but I just mean like, other people) from that crash would just be extra heartbreaking :'((. Still, knowing it happened to Marjan is just :'((( 😭💔. But, yeah :'). I loved the episode, I thought it was absolutely amazing. Everyone was go great 🥰. I'm so proud of all of them, especially Marjan <333.

Fruits Basket, SE03, Ep3

This ep is exactly like se02, ep 24, meaning it was divided clearly into two parts. While the graduation theme unties the two parts, you can point things out exactly like ep,24:

1st part : Machi’s story= the important part.

2nd part: scattered parts here & there that concern yuki, ep, 24 his interactions with akito, here his interactions with Motoko).

plus, an ep cliff hanger: (e, 24 the dvd given to kureno, here, Isuzu’s mysterious fate).

it is exactly the same even a small kyo/tohru moment!. School graduation instead of the zodiac’s new year gathering. 

Really awkward pacing, but that’s furuba, we celebrate when they DO connect dots for once! lets talk abt the REAL ep: MACHI.

-Machi’s awkward presence:  

Although I love Machi, I’ve voiced my concerns abt her character in Furuba:

It seemed that Machi was solely created to be a step in yuki’s success journey more than a character on her own right. After getting motherly love (tohru) leaving the nest, Yuki needed friendship (kakeru), then as an independent man, he needs romantic love: (Machi). This is all fine initially but I was yearning for more individuality for Machi as a character. All furuba characters were given space to be unique including minor characters like Motoko who narrated her own story each time she’s on screen & we lived it with her within two seasons & a number of eps.

 However, Machi’s background was introduced thro her brother’s exposition in se02 & that moment was a yuki/ kakeru bonding moment.

Thro kakeru’s exposition  we learned how similar yuki & machi are (the parental neglect, high expectations, cold sibling relationship, Big brother saves himself by himself, big brother pushing for redemption & the younger sibling’s still trapped silently ). While that makes for romantic appeal between the two which makes the writer’s job easier, it steals from Machi individuality.

Then her part in ep, 24 was shown & I was given hope for Machi’s individuality as her own inner voice spoke volumes abt her as a person away from yuki (romantic interest) or Kakeru (big brother). Having a lot of screen time, while can make a character more believable to the audience, is never a factor in character’s depth nor individual worth. Heck! kyo (part of the main trio & the main character’s love interest) has only ONE ep in se02 to explore his issues & by far it is my fave ep in se02 as it established kyo’s trauma, psyche, mental issues & emotional baggage better than I could ever imagine! You can DO WONDERS with little time if you knew what to do. That’s what happened with Machi this ep (half ep).

-Machi’s shines! (trauma & romance):

I was so relieved to learn that altho both Machi & yuki despised perfection as it suffocated them, the writer (thankfully) went abt a different approach with Machi. Unlike Yuki who went silent cuz he felt his voice didn’t matter as he was used as a tool, Machi went silent cuz she was was NOT needed, & not only discarded but painted as WRONG. If you admit that raising me this way is wrong, then what does this make me? What should I do with myself? I’m wrong! boring, a failure, & a presumed killer!! all while I was absolutely doing my best! all while I was having good intentions! It is devastating but It makes Machi real. A character on her own right with her own trauma, struggle, pain & outlook on life. Although, the writer made the whole yuki/Machi meeting orchestrated by Kakeru to quickly make the two siblings one step closer, it worked cuz kakeru chose to not interfere after setting the scene. He played a subtle mach maker & tried to find happiness for his sister silently. Kakeruy is yuki’s best buddy & Machi becoming the girlfriend, the trio will have to hang out more which will slowly but surely warm Machi towards Kakeru. While the flat visit is the part where Machi open the lid to Yuki with a spark of romance at the end, the chalk scene is the romantic part! Not only did Yuki noticed her panic & saved her by breaking a piece of chalk, she secretly remembered his promise! “ lets make footprints on the snow”. The snow that was another source of anxiety attack, is now sth she looks forward to & prays for! Truly romantic!!! Well-done writer.

Side Notes:

I know furuba is shoujo & it’s abt love, but C’mon! where did Nao/ Motoko come from??!! XDD Who is left without love interest? Kyo’s rejected fangirl loved by one of kyo’s buddies? The maids in love with Akito? Momiji? Who does Kimi love besides money? XD

Yuki once observed that kyo makes tohru happy with small things, Today he did the same! A broken piece of chalk.

Yuki/ Machi romantic scenes contrast Yuki/ tohru forced romantic scene at the earlier seasons. There is no lame cringy lines like “ I’ll kidnap you & go to a vacation” or kissing a ribbon. There is NO acting or pretentious lines. Here a piece of chalk did the trick, an understanding of her tears & a head pat, a promise to walk on snow together! Congratulations Yuki, You made it into romantic boyfriends category! XD. also, good writing!

The Bra scene is the real comedy in the ep.

Arisa’s “ kyon, we won’t forgive you if you hurt tohru” is gold cuz kyo WILL. When it’s time to confess he knew kyoko & she HATES him & doesn’t forgive him, tohru would be hurt! Even if she wasn’t in love with kyo!!! Knowing your beloved’s last words were hateful is painful!! Add to this that tohru loves kyo & would be struggling between forgiving him or not!! Add to this that kyo might NOT want to be forgiven!!

“ I won’t forgive you”. kyo’s haunting reminder that he’s unforgivable is now shared by kyoko, yuki, Hana & Arisa!! 

look, you might argue that furuba’s romantic writing might be a bit awkward with all sorts of romantic couples, age gaps, the need for everybody to be in love one way or the other & so on, but the traumatic behavioral writing is the best!!!!! I was never disappointed with how Takaya write abused traumatized children’s behavior. One of my fave scenes is yuki/ kyo in the stairs in se02 where kyo lashed out on yuki & yuki was over it. While that scene was rightfully celebrated for yuki’s triumphant attitude as he got over his trauma, I love it for the realistic trauma filled attitude of kyo, all charged with kyoko’s flashback! He’s in deep & he’s all by himself! Kyo will hurt tohru cuz he loves her just like how kazuma hurt him by forcefully taking his bracelet cuz he loves him. Kyo will be thinking it is for the best, who would want to be with someone that kyoko of all ppl hates!

 I’ll tolerate all the weird love couples in furuba, but the moment trauma is written weakly I’ll drop the show. There is NO way, kyo will confess kyoko’s lines then go “sorry abt that tohru, we’re good?” 

Back to Machi, I really hope that her trauma isn’t merely wrapped up cuz yuki loved her. Furuba was never abt love heals, it is abt love helps. We might not see more of her trauma for reasons of space, or not related to the current plot lines, but I really hope we hear her talk abt herself with yuki even few lines. Although, I feel that the focus now will be on setting her for yuki’s next stage in character development: honesty in the love confession. He’ll tell her abt the curse as the trailer hinted at. That’s their first love life struggle. But if I were to take a guess, it will be dealt with quickly like her trauma. She loves yuki dearly & as long as he walks with her in snow (human or rat, lol), it’s all good. <3

Kagura’s new style is love! she isn’t dressed overly cutely anymore, but had a more comfortably style & I love her hair! also her friendship with Isuzu! <3. I wish Isuzu would really know there are ppl worried abt her in her life. Haru isn’t the only one.

Akito put Isuzu in the cat room, didn’t she? The place she left is similar to the place young Kazum wandered to in se01, ep25. & those scissors....

I never thought that the mere sight of shigure’s face will disgust me. XD. I still find him so intriguing, but yeah need time to get over the fact that he slept with Ren & counted it even with Akito, then slept with Akito afterwards! EWWW! so disgusting & I’m here to see this drama escalate!

Yuki / Machi moment was interrupted! XD It’s not fun when it happened to you, yuki? XD.

I’ve been very busy these past few days, which is also why I’m much less active, and this ask has been sitting in my inbox, so sorry about that! But if I knew who’s my favourite I could answer simply and quickly, right? Welllll, such a simple question and it made the gears in my mind spin so much, somehow I had never thought of who was my favourite before. And you know what? I just had no clue.

Then it hit me how it resonated with my recent thoughts on art in general... which I put on another post because I started writing here and it just got so big and off topic xddd But in short, my problem was that you can like characters for so many diverse reasons that it’s sometimes truly hard to compare and make a ranking.

Firstly, a disclaimer, that I *cough* still haven’t watched the drama *cough* (I’m really gonna watch it I swear I’m just not good at watching stuff alone and I’m still dwelling on my novel impression which I use in my writing skjdnvkjbfvker I can’t let go help). I’m very curious about some characters which were given a whole new life in the drama or were non existent in the novel, especially all the incredible ladies or scorpion king. But for now I have to answer for the novel xd

So I had a problem because I love so many characters. Wen Kexing is literally one of my fav tropes for love interests. Smart and witty, sneaky and with much power hidden underneath, literally unhinged, but at the same time can goof around and loves to tease their love interest, starving for affection and ready to give a lot of it themselves, and after they obtain it they get possessive and ready to do hella lot to keep it. I have a lot of fun with such characters and I'm a simp for them, so wen kexing just hit so many sweet spots.

Ye baiyi started off as just a comic relief for me, but he kept growing in my eyes until he climbed up so high. I love his bluntness and how done he is with everything, so free and uncaring. Which kind of stems from his painful backstory, but also shows how strong mentally he is that he managed to bear so much and keep on living like he did. I respect him tremendously, as well as lowkey relate to being done and not caring for some things (which I previously was very anxious about but now could not care less).

Gu xiang and cao weining didn't leave the best impressions at first, but they bloomed in my eyes and I care for them so deeply now 🥺 

I don't know much about jing beiyuan and wu xi because qi ye is also still on my ‘to read’ list, but even just these few bits in tyk made me already very interested and warmed up for these two.

But after all the scattered thinking in these past days, I somehow finally circled back to zhou zishu. And I understood that as much as I love all these characters for so many different reasons, I think zzs wins in one pretty personal to me aspect - how I relate to a certain trait of his, and that every time a character like that appears I go feral for them. It was like that for liu qingge, for jiang cheng, even for shen jiu. It's the characters that have troubles putting their emotions and desires into words and actions, but at the same time they have much affection and care inside.

I like zzs for many things. His reluctant care for chengling and even more reluctant opening up to wkx make me all soft, I enjoy (and feel personally) his carefree attitude and bluntness, I respect his quick thinking, skills, and witty remarks. But what makes me care very deeply for characters like him is how they just can’t seem to easily and openly show their feelings or care. They often snap, brush off, or hide whenever it spills, as if they can’t handle it, don’t know how to react, or because it destroys the image they try to uphold. But you can still see signs of it in their actions, when they help someone, make something for them, heal them, give them tips, rescue them if they’re in trouble. Or show their vulnerability in a moment of weakness, in the presence of someone they trust. Goddamn I go feral for that. Also I have much satisfaction when that image or defenses get brought down ajkfnklsdgnvl

And it all stems from the fact that, as much as it may sound ridiculous with all my openness and excitement that you see here, I have terrible troubles in this area as well xdd I am a good actor and observer who knows what to avoid, so if I don’t want someone to know something, they won’t. And I am painfully awkward and absolutely an idiot when it comes to anything romantic or intimate. So combining these two aspects ends up with me suffering in silence and living delusions in my head, while the other person I have feelings for is absolutely oblivious or even thinks that I don’t like them because of all my freezing and changing the subject whenever it gets in any way intimate or emotional xd I am an epitome of awkwardness and avoidance in this, constantly running away when I can’t handle feelings or don’t know how to react xd

So yeah, such characters resonate with me a lot and I self-project on zzs a lot in my writing. Now u know my secret lmao
