Blood traitor
Pairing: Sirius Black + fem!reader
word count: 5149
summary: Y/n Avery has always been best friends with Regulus, and so by association, she’s also been around Sirius a lot. What she didn’t know is why he always liked to annoy her.
Trigger warnings: Misogynistic views, Voldemort, kissing, shouting, disgusting men. let me know if there’s anything less.
A/n: I’ve intended for this to be a two part one shot, but I’m not really sure. If I do decide to make a part to I’ll put a link for it here. Let me know, if I should do another one.

She sat next to Regulus as you watched the older pureblood couples dance and talk. She didn’t know why she had to be at this function, there were no other kids her age but Regulus, and he didn’t seem to be having a good time either. She could feel the tight material of her dress poking her skin and she reached a hand to her arm where the dress was clinging, hoping to pull it a bit, so it would release its tight hold. The words of her mother echoed in her ears, “Leave that dress alone, and stop fussing.”
Her hands fell back to her lap, but she couldn’t help but shuffle in her seat. The older kids were talking about their schools. She could see Bellatrix, Narcissa, Lucius, Crabbe, Corban, Antonin, Amycus and Alecto, and of course, her older brother, Avery. They were all from either Hogwarts or Drumstrang, being ten meant that she listened intently to the fascinating stories about the teachers, the houses and the curriculum. Her whole family’s been sorted to Slytherin her whole life and so, she listens to them as they talk about the amazing house of emerald green and silver.
“Where’s that cousin of yours?” Her brother asks Bellatrix, and she turns around to scan the room, notices Narcissa then answers, “You mean that filthy red blood traitor? He’s no family of mine.”
Narcissa places a hand on her sister’s shoulder and says in a soft voice, “Now, Bella, he could still do great things, we all know that the sorting hat makes mistakes.”
Bellatrix only scoffs, and then Lucius supports his almost finance, “It does make mistakes we all know it was created by that awful Godric Gryffindor, and all gryffindor’s are idiots, we must assume that he was the origin of that idiocy.”
There were a few laughs from the rest of the group, and Y/N furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she leaned to her side, closer to Regulus and asked, “Why are they calling Sirius a blood traitor?”
Regulus re-focuses away from the group, and looks at her to whisper, “Sirius was sorted into Gryffindor and not Slytherin.” He explained, simply, but she still didn’t understand. She asked another question, “What’s so wrong about Gryffindor?”
“It’s not Slytherin.” Regulus replied, and she pursed her lips as she leaned back into her chair. She scans the room again and looks around at all the people there, laughing, drinking and talking. She didn’t want to do any of those things, and so her eyes found the clock, 7:30, it read. She slumped back down further as she let out an annoyed huff, still a long way to go till the end of the night.
A loud shout was heard and for a split second the whole room went quiet till it erupted once again into loud chatter. She looked at the stairs where Walburga Black walked down, she paused near the end of the staircase, brushed a strand of her hair out of her face, puffed her chest out and plastered a wide smile. She walked towards the groups of people huddled together, no doubt either talking about the Dark Lord or the ministry.
A few seconds after that, sirius wobled down the stairs with his arms folded in front of his chest. His expression screamed, ‘not amused’, and he had his eyebrows knitted together. He walked down a few more steps then saw her and Regulus sitting together. He looked at the group of older kids, then decided he wanted to be with them, or at least she assumed so, since he started walking towards her.
He pulled out a chair loudly, and it screeched against the marble floors, causing a few near-by adults to grimace at the sight of him. He huffed down on the chair and sagged against it, his hair - that was longer than the last time she saw it- cascaded over his face and he blew it away with a huff. She was about to say hello, when she was forced to straighten up by two strong hands on her shoulders. Her face fell into a frown as she noticed the way her mother fixed her posture and leaned down to whisper, “A lady never sits with an arched back, and especially not in front of guests.”
“Now…smile.” Her mother ordered and she tried to force a grin to her face. Her mother gave her a satisfied look and then walked back to her dad where she placed her hand on his forearm and smiled at the others. The smile fell off her face as soon as she was out of her mother’s sight, and she felt Regulus pat her shoulder sympathetically.
“Getting used to your future life, now, are we?” Sirius said with a teasing smile on his face. He pushed his arms back, behind his neck where he could unclip his bow tie then slam it on the table. He rubbed his neck and sighed gratefully as if the bowtie was choking him. She both warned and advised, “You should wear that or your mother will have your head.”
“My mother will try to have my head either way, so it doesn’t matter, and besides worry about Regulus over here, he isn’t wearing one, and you wouldn’t like to have a husband with no head now, would you?” Sirius said in an arrogant tone, as he then smirked when she blushed at the word husband. She looked to her side to make sure that Regulus wasn’t wearing a bowtie, and he was not. She turned to Sirius, “Regulus wasn’t instructed to wear one, unlike you.”
“And we’re not married yet.” Regulus says in a shy voice, his cheeks also coated in pink. The reminder caused her cheeks to also turn pink, and she leaned back into her chair, then she fixed her posture quickly as if she was burned. Sirius darts an eye over both of them, noticing her expression then he says, “But that’s the thing, dear brother…yet.”
Their attention gets stolen by the sound of someone tapping their less than half full glass with a spoon. The sharp noise causes the chatter to die down, and people turn their gaze to the source of the sound. From one corner of the room, her mother and father stood up, with their arms hooked and their faces smiley. Her father started, “We have an announcement to make.”
“Our son, Avery will transfer to Drumstrang due to their interest in the dark arts which will help our son in the near future when becoming a death eater.” Her father continued, and she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, she didn’t know anything about that. Regulus leaned closer to her with a similar expression and asked, “Did you know anything about this?”
She shook her head then hushed him, softly, so she could hear the rest of the announcement. Her mother explained, “We will be moving to the far north of Europe where Avery could easily attend Drumstrang.”
A few happy noises were heard from the crowd happy with the news while y/n’s eyes widened as she tried to take in the news. Regulus seemed to be struggling as well, so he took her hand in his and squeezed it tightly. He was thinking that maybe that would ground her. Her mother opened her mouth to continue her speech when she was bombarded by several questions about the news. She sat back down along with y/n’s father and they answered all questions with a delighted smile.
Y/n was shocked to hear the news, and she wondered if she would be attending Drumstrang as well. She was only ten, and so she might be going there next year, but that would mean moving, moving away from Regulus, and that was a thing she didn’t want to do. Regulus’ grip on her hand didn’t falter which showed her that he didn’t want the same thing. Sirius’ expression was plank, it showed nothing about how he was feeling. She ignored him, but a part of her felt sad that he didn’t care at all about the fact that she was leaving.
“You’ll write to me?” Regulus asked in a small voice and she turned to him quickly, she couldn’t believe that he ever doubted that she wouldn’t keep contact. She took his other hand in hers and she reassured him, “Of course, I will! Every day if I can.”
They embraced tightly and she moved her head to the side, to see that Sirius had left the table. He really didn’t care at all. She ignored how she felt and hugged Regulus tighter. She could feel her eyes brimming with tears and they started to sting. She blinked them back, hoping that it wouldn’t ruin her makeup that her mother put on for her to hide her imperfections.
Someone cleared their throat from beside them and they broke away to look at who it was. Her mother was standing with her hands on her hips, her mother always exudes confidence, and she was envious that she didn’t have that. Her mother had a slight grin on her face, and she said, “You’ll have time for that later, come.”
Her mother didn’t give her a chance to say anything before she twirled around, the elegant dress following behind her and walked away. Y/N shuffled quickly to stand up, and she moved around her chair to try to follow her mother, from the corner of her eye she saw Regulus bring a hand to his eye. He cared and that’s what mattered, she thought as she noticed Sirius sitting back down at the table, already starting to tease his brother.
Her mother stepped into a small corner far enough from anyone who could overhear, and she waited for her daughter. She looked at Y/n sternly when she hadn’t caught up and she frowned. Y/n moved quickly to a jog as she reached her mother. Her mother’s frown didn’t move as she whispered heatedly, “Ladies don’t run.”
Y/n’s face fell to the floor and her face sank more, if possible. Her mother leaned down, so she could speak and no one would hear them. She started, “Listen to me, and focus. The Blacks have been kind enough to let you stay with them, and so you will be a near angel when it comes to repaying them. You will help with the chores and you will do as they say. You will show your interest in the young boy and ignore the heir, we wouldn’t want any of his ideas getting into your head. Don’t embarrass us.”
“I’m staying here?” she asked, hopefully, eyes wide. Her mother rolls her eyes and pulls her in by her shoulders, tightly. Her mother continues, “Yes you will, and you will attend Hogwarts, Slythein of course, and you will be successful, I’ve already asked that the Narcissa keep an eye on you.”
She nodded her head quickly, and her mother then released her, going back to her full height. Her mother takes in a deep breath and then straightens out her wrinkle free dress, walking back to the centre of the party. Y/n waits till her mother is far away and then she starts running to her table. She notices a few older ladies looking at her, and she immediately slows down her pace, reminding herself that ladies don’t run.
She walked quickly, trying to keep the excitement at bay while she sat down at her chair quickly, not even making sure that her dress was straight. Regulus watched her bright smile with confusion until she said, “I’m not moving, I’ll be staying with you!”
“And you’ll be going to Hogwarts?” he asks and when she nods, he beams beside her. He barely gets the chance to open his arms before she nearly throws herself on him, wrapping her arms around his torso. She giggles lightly, and then sits back down. She hears, “That’s good news.”
She realised that Sirius said that and she pursed her lips and ignored him. He didn’t care in the slightest that she was leaving, why would it be good news to him? She turned back to look at Regulus and he said, “There’s an empty room in front of mine, maybe that’ll be yours.”
“Maybe!” she said, excitedly. She couldn’t wait to spend all of her time with her best friend, and they could play games and have fun together. She wouldn’t have to wait till her parents prepare a sleepover once every few months, everyday will be a sleepover. Regulus asked, “Do you know when you’re moving in?”
“I don’t know.”
***
“Oi! Y/n” Someone from behind her whispered, a voice she knew all too well. She pulled the potions book closer to her chest, and started to move a bit faster. She could hear his footsteps pick up and she started to jog, but damn him and his long legs, reaching her in a second. He placed a hand on her shoulder and spun her around. She sighs, “What do you want Sirius? I have to get to class.”
“Slughorn wouldn’t mind if you were a few minutes late.” He said and the rest of his group trailed after him. She rolled her eyes, and shoved his hand away. She said, pointedly, “He wouldn’t, but I would.”
“Come on, darling. I just need-” He starts, but she said, quickly, “Let me guess, you just want my help, but I am not going to give it to you, and I’m not your darling, see whatever girl you’ve got stuck to your side this week, and call her darling, not me.”
“What if I want you to be my babe for the week?” he said with a flirty grin on her face as he leaned closer to her face. She ignored the fluttery feeling in her stomach as she put on a grimace. She lifted her pointer finger at him and stuck it to his chest. She seethed, “Then I would tell you that Potter’s been made headboy because that’s as likely as me being your babe.”
She could see Potter lift an offended hand to his chest, in feigned hurt, but Lupin smacked him on the head which then got them both to start bickering. She rolled her eyes at their childish behaviour. He grabbed her wrist that had the finger that was glued to his chest. He leaned in closer, too close for her to feel calm, hoping that he wouldn’t see the pink tint on her cheeks. He whispered, “I think you’d love it, but the only way you’re going to get it is by telling me the password for the snakes’ common room.”
“Watch it. And you must’ve hit your head hard, if you think I’m going to give you anything.” She hisses at him, and he becomes less amused. His expression became humourless, but there were still bits of mirth in his eyes. He whispers, “You have to start being nice again because…”
He moves a hand towards her hair, and twirls bits of it around his finger. “Your hair’s been looking intact lately, it’s been a while since I’ve pulled it, huh?”
She scrunches her face in anger, and she takes a step away from him. She grips her book tighter and says, “You should know that your silly little threats have become futile. I don’t care if you pull my hair, steal my fries or make fun of the way I talk or walk. You don’t affect me.”
“Pads! Just give it up. We have to mess with Filch, he's close.” Potter says from behind them and Sirius doesn’t take his eyes off of her. He waits for a second then he moves back to the ‘marauders’, and finally leaves her alone, but not before looking back to take a second glance at her.
She turns back to her original direction and moves to her class, hoping that Slughorn hadn’t already explained much yet.
***
“You’ll find someone.” Regulus reassures her as they sit in the library, going over their charms notes for their exam in a few days. She huffs and flips one of the pages of her book angrily. She dips her quill in ink for the fifth time in the past two minutes. She writes an answer to one question from the practice exams book that she found, then she places her quill back down again, the excess ink already dripping down on the table.
“I just don’t understand how everyone already has a date, but me? Slughorn’s party is in a week, I can’t go alone, I’ll be bored, miserable and humiliated. You just had to say yes to Pandora.” She says, exasperated. Regulus rolls his eyes and gets ready to answer to the same words for the millionth time, “I said yes because she needed to make Lovegood jealous.”
“You could’ve given me a two weeks’ notice.” she huffs with her arms folded in front of her chest. She leans on the table, and she says, “We’ve always gone to Slughorn’s dinners together, what am I going to do now?”
“You could always ask someone.” Regulus says, in a know-it-all tone and it makes her roll her eyes. He presses his quill to some parchment and writes a definition of something. She replies, “Regulus, you should know by now that the first half of Hogwarts finds me repulsive because of my house or my family, and the other half think I’m off limits because of you. No one I would ask would say yes.”
“Except for one…” Regulus says reluctantly as his eyes fixate on something behind her, and she turns around to see what he’s talking about. Her face falls when she sees what he’s seeing, Lupin reading and revising while Potter plays with a snitch he owns and Pettigrew and Sirius playing a game of exploding snap. She plays dumb, “Potter’s already too obsessed with Evans to go out with me.”
“Not that one, idiot.” Regulus replies while rolling his eyes. She purses her lips and tilts her head to the side with an innocent expression on her face, if there’s one thing that annoys Regulus it’s when people are being moronic. She hums, “Who else then? Pettigrew is too short for my liking, and Lupin is gorgeous, but-”
“Sirius!” he nearly screams, “If you asked Sirius, he’d say yes.” He sinks in his chair when a few annoyed gazes fall on him, as people note the now disturbed silence. He gulps and he continues to write down his notes, avoiding everyone’s gaze. She leans in closer to him and whispers, “He wouldn’t say yes, Sirius hates me with every fibre of his being-”
“Only because he thinks you do.” Regulus says and then continues writing as something from behind her causes him to stop. She furrowed her eyebrows at his answer, and before she had a chance to continue. Sirius says, “You called.”
“Actually we didn’t.” She turns and replies, quickly. He folds his hands over his chest, and he pulls a chair from beside her, much to her dismay. She groans when he sits down, and puts her head in her hands. He says, “I’m pretty sure I heard my name.”
“Well, you heard wrong.” she replies, hoping that it would shut him down, lifting her head momentarily from her palms. He cocks his head to the side and he says, “That doesn’t matter, now. A little birdie told me that you don’t have a date for this weekend.”
“Who told you that?” she snaps, lifting her head to look at him. He smirks, glad to have her attention. Sirius intertwined his fingers together and brought them dramatically on his lap. He shrugs his shoulders and says, “That doesn’t matter, what matters is what you’re going to do about it.”
“That’s none of your business.” She says, with a flush on her cheeks, she didn’t want him to know about her misfortune when it comes to dates. She could see Regulus watching the interaction, carefully, she hated how Sirius didn’t acknowledge him. Sirius interrupts her train of thought, “I think it is, since I happen to be available this weekend.”
“Why would that matter?” she says, ignoring his hints. He grins, amused, it frustrates her to no end. He leans in closer to her and he says, “Because if you were to ask me, the probability of me saying no is very slim.”
“Now, why would I want to go with you?” she says, ignoring the pleasant feeling in her chest at what Sirius was hinting at. He purses his lips and the words fly out of his mouth before he registers them, “Because no one would want to go with you.”
A sharp pain flies through her chest as she sucks in a deep breath and she grabs her books haphazardly. She shoves some in her arms and the other in her bag. She swings her bag over her shoulder, and looks at Regulus, “I’ll see you later-”
She turns around and leaves the library. She ignores the way she feels her eyes stinging a bit at Sirius’ words.
***
The dinner was boring…as always. However, it was even more boring without having Regulus beside her while they commented on everything that was being said around them. She would’ve not gone in the first place, but Narcissa would’ve told her mother about her failing to do her duties and a howler was something she didn’t want.
Goyle was beside her shoving some type of food she didn’t care about down his throat. Sirius was wrong about what he said, there was someone that would go with her, unfortunately, that someone was Goyle. She resisted to grimace as she acknowledged his obvious lack in table manners. Regulus was seated at the other side of the table, on his right was Pandora and right in front of them was Lovegood and some Hufflepuff girl that she didn’t know.
Slughorn asked Goyle about something related to his parents while she tried to ignore who was only a few feet away from her. Sirius and an older Ravenclaw girl who was his flavour of the week. She really tried not to be bothered by their presence, but it was hard while hearing her incessant giggling as he whispered in her ear. Y/n rolled her eyes every time her giggles would get louder. Occasionally, she could see Sirius press a few kisses on the girl’s neck and the way she would blush every time as if she hadn't already shagged him.
They were disturbing the otherwise calm and professional atmosphere. She didn’t even want to be here, and when Goyle slurped on some snail’s juice beside her, she decided it was time to go. She stood up, abruptly and the chatter died down around her as all eyes turned to her. She flushed under the attention, and turned to Slughorn to say, “I apologise, Professor, but I’ll have to cut my stay short.”
“Completely fine. Are you well, my dear?” Slughorn asked, and she noticed that the giggling finally stopped. She resisted the urge to sigh from relief. She nodded her head with a small smile, “Yes, excuse me.”
She moved out of her chair, and walked out of the room, finally feeling calm when the door shut behind her. She slumped against the wall, then wobbled to the window seat that was opposite to her, ignoring the pain from her heels. She sat down and pressed a hand to her face as she tried to get rid of the memories of her horrible night. “You didn’t stay for the dance.”
She didn't have to lift her face out of her hands to know who it was, she sighed, “I didn’t want to stay for the dance.” She plucks her heels off of her feet and sighs in relief. She didn’t know what made him sit down beside her, but something did. She wasn’t in the mood for his antics and so she turned to rest the side of her head on her hands while she said, “Don’t you have that Ravenclaw waiting for you inside?”
“She can fare well without me for a few minutes.” Sirius said, and he shuffled closer to her, prompting her to move to stick to the wall beside her to remain far from him. She didn’t say a word as she tried to suppress the noise of Goyle’s munching that had engraved itself inside her brain without her permission. Sirius whispered, “I didn’t mean what I said…at the library.”
She didn’t say anything, but she looked away from him. She toyed with her fingers on her lap, and bit her lip. Sirius took this as a sign to keep talking, “It was out of line, and I’m sure that many-uh many people would love to go with you.”
She gulps and Sirius stands after a sigh, and he says, “I don’t know what I was expecting you to say, you hate me anyways.” He starts to retreat back to the room when her voice stops him, “It’s because you hate Regulus.”
“He called me a blood traitor.” Sirius says as if it were obvious and turns to look at her. She stood up and said softly, “Lucius was standing.”
“He could’ve not done that, he could’ve stood up for himself.” Sirius said, and she pursed her lips, both the Black boys were hopeless in their own ways. Neither of them could admit that they missed each other. She bent down to grab her heels, and then she replied, “Not all of us are Gryffindors, Sirius.”
***
She had been drenched in water from head to toe. Her hair was completely wet and her robes were soaked along with her. Her Transfiguration book was ruined and her socks were soggy. She was already late for her lesson, and now she wouldn’t even be able to go. She knew just who was behind this. She screamed, “Sirius!”
From behind one of the pillars, Sirius and James stood with shocked expressions on their faces. The prank had backfired, it was supposed to be for any other Slytherin, they didn’t expect her to be the Slytherin who would fall victim to their prank. James patted Sirius back and rushed off down the hallway. Sirius shouted, “Traitor.”
He walked from around the pillar and he was in her line of sight. She rushed towards him as soon as he appeared and she stood a few feet away as she shouted, “You idiot! You ruined my book and my clothes and now I’m never going to get to my lesson.”
“It wasn’t meant for you-”
“You’re lying. You’ve always hated me and wanted to annoy me any chance given. You knew that I would be the one to come out.” She screamed as she brushed a wet lock of hair out of her face. He held both his hands up in surrender as he said, “It really wasn’t-”
“Why the hell do you hate me?” she shouted as she took a step closer to him, grimacing at the scrunch that her shoes made as she moved. She poked his chest with his finger as she continued, “Ever since we were kids, you teased me, you made fun of me-”
“I-”
“You annoyed me and you pull my hair and you always steal my stuff back at the house-” she continued, “You turned my room upside down and you hate me.”
“Would you just-”
“Why do you hate me? I was so kind to you, and you were only ever mean to me. Why do you hate me, Sirius? What thing about me infuriates you so much that you hate me and make my life miserable?” She rambles on while he tries to get a word in.
“Stop!” he shouts and it makes her mouth shut. He keeps talking, angry, “Would I hate you if I made sure that every prank I’ve ever made never touched you? Would I hate you if I always tried to go to every one of stupid Slughorn’s dinners just to see you in a pretty dress? Would I hate you if I’m the one who convinced my parents to let you stay with us? If I hated you, do you think I would still be hurt every time I remember how you’re engaged to my brother and not to me-”
Sirius didn’t get to keep talking as she cupped his face and kissed him. Sirius’ face comforts into shock before he melts into her touch. He places his hands on her drenched waist, and pulls her closer to him. The action makes the pre-existing butterflies in her stomach erupt. His taste was addictive to her and she couldn’t help but keep kissing him until the air ran out of her lungs.
She parted their lips with her chest heaving and her heart beating wildly. She noticed how one of her hands fell against his chest and she could feel his heart doing the same. She looks up at Sirius to find his face expressionless. His body stings her and she brings her hands back to her body. She rambled, “I’m sorry- I shouldn’t have-”
He crashed his lips to hers again and it took the breath out of her lungs. She finally understood why there were always so many girls wanting to be with Sirius even if just for a few days. He was absolutely intoxicating and a wonderful kisser. She brought her hands around his neck and pulled him closer to her. His hands slipped down to her hips and it made her heart jump up to her throat.
“Meet me at the astronomy tower tonight?” he whispers, his breath hot against her lips once they moved away. She could only hum in agreement as she continued to kiss him.

A Possible Future Based On Hisoka's Fortune - HxH Predictions
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 105 (Raw)
"A red-eyed customer will visit your store. Half of them is angel, and the other is the god of death. Presumably they are hoping that you will sell the moon's secrets to them. They ought to be especially pleased about that of the frost moon.
On a hot day, with the mediation of the said customer, the two of you, the man of a reversed cross and you, are probably to be left alone together. The false fourth moon will be torn away from the calendar. With this, those that remain will become 6."
Tumblr media
I'm gonna put it here to remind us all of Hisoka's real fortune.
We all know how Shalnark ended up dead according to the fortune he received back in Yorknew arc. Now everyone is paying attention at Shizuku's fortune and making predictions. One of the most popular of these theories is how Shizuku will die around merchandise covered in black, which are brought by the Kakin mafia or one of the princes, if I remember correctly.
So now, I shall make my own predictions on what will happen in the future HxH chapters. But this time it will be based on Hisoka's real fortune.
WARNING: IF YOU HAVEN'T READ HUNTER x HUNTER CHAPTERS 349 TO 400, ESPECIALLY 391 TO 400, DO NOT INTERACT OR READ FURTHER. Keep in mind that this is unedited, and you are bound to read some cringey parts at some point.
Tumblr media
First Stanza:
"A red-eyed customer will visit your store. Half of them is angel, and the other is the god of death."
As Hisoka accepted Hinrigh's offer of going to VVIP room at tier 1, he's currently on his way there. The only one there who is described as a "red-eyed customer will visit your store. Half of them is angel, and the other is the god of death" is Kurapika, who is, at present, the bodyguard of 14th Prince Woble and Queen Oito.
At some point, they will meet again. They have to. There is no way that Hisoka will not go to the next banquet nor snoop around and find out what's up in the said tier. He will be there and his encounter with Kurapika for the first time since Yorknew arc is inevitable.
"Presumably they are hoping that you will sell the moon's secrets to them."
With Hisoka's presence in tier 1, Kurapika won't be able to help but wonder what happened to the Phantom Troupe, especially Chrollo, after Kurapika and the main gang left Chrollo, Hisoka and Pakunoda on top of the cliff/mountain (pls my brain isn't cooperating right now, somebody remind me), in the middle of nowhere.
Kurapika will definitely ask Hisoka about the Phantom Troupe. Presently, he wants to know about them and, obviously, he will get curious whether they are in the Black Whale or not. Remember, the Phantom Troupe is also his target, but obviously more secondary as 4th Prince Tserriednich is his first and foremost target as of this arc.
Kurapika will definitely find out that they are onboard the ship, and in all probability, Hisoka will let him know about it. After all, wouldn't Hisoka want to form an alliance again with Kurapika?
"They ought to be especially pleased about that of the frost moon."
I believe Hisoka will reveal something about the frost moon with Kurapika.
As you know, the frost moon refers to #11 of the Phantom Troupe. Back in Yorknew arc, they were referring to Uvogin. But he died. He even got a tombstone-less tomb and a requiem on the night of the underground auction. So, how is frost moon still relevant to this arc?
Well, sucks for you, but the one who replaced Uvogin is none other than this man:

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 377 (Official English Translation)
Illumi Zoldyck.
With the way he is acting at the moment and how he divulged his assassination deal with Hisoka is making him super suspicious. There has been so many theories about him being Hisoka and so on because of how sus he is at the moment.
Though the theory about him being Hisoka has been debunked as of the current available chapters, you cannot deny that this is not merely just a "kill me and my engagement ring to or prenup with you is that you get paid". There's something more going on here.
I predict that he and Hisoka are on cahoots with each other. Surely, Hisoka had a deal with him, but I think it's more of helping him destroy the Spiders from the inside and so Illumi can save Kalluto from Hisoka's murder plan.
If it is true that Hisoka and Illumi are working together because Hisoka asked him to just like in Yorknew and Illumi can save his younger sibling, then Kurapika will be pleased. Because that's less spiders he has to worry with, considering that he also has to get closer to Prince Tserriednich to take back the remaining scarlet eyes, while also helping Queen Oito and Prince Woble survive the succession war.
(At this point, you may take a break. Resume reading once you are ready.)
Tumblr media
Second Stanza:
"On a hot day, with the mediation of the said customer, the two of you, the man of a reversed cross and you, are probably to be left alone together. "
I am mostly onboard with the prediction that Kurapika and Hisoka will come up with some sort of agreement regarding the Troupe. Kurapika already has too many things in his plate regarding the succession war with the remaining princes and how he will get close in contact with Prince Tserriednich. It won't come into surprise if Kurapika asks Hisoka for a helping hand or accept Hisoka's offer of his own kind of alliance, which I think he would do just like in Yorknew. But I think this time Hisoka will warn him not to remove Chrollo's nen. xD
Hisoka will perhaps help him take out some of the members. I feel that he will go for Shizuku and/or Bonolenov first. They are currently with Chrollo, so perhaps with Kurapika's help or someone's help, Chrollo can get separated from them, and then he can kill Shizuku and Bonolenov right then and there.
But we can also take into account that the closes Spiders to Hisoka right now are Nobunaga, Phinks, Feitan, and most likely Franklin and Machi. He can go for one of them first, as well. But I really feel like Shizuku and Bonolenov will die and I'll explain why in a short bit.
And of course, the one I'm most excited about is the showdown between Hisoka and Machi. I'm so ready to witness the best tragic romance of all times
Later on, Kurapika will maybe help him get another chance to be alone with Chrollo in return of him getting rid of some of the Troupe members. The ship is on the way to the false Dark Continent right now, so maybe he can set up a place there where Hisoka and Chrollo can face off. And it will be hot on that place on that day.
But it can also be that because of Kurapika, Hisoka and Chrollo will be alone together in the Black Whale ship, whether intentional or not. But how can it be a hot day in a ship, especially later when they can no longer go out of the premises due to the unpredictable travel conditions?
When the whole ship is in chaos and on fire. Now that will be wild, but not impossible.
"The false fourth moon will be torn away from the calendar."
In Yorknew arc, the false fourth moon was Hisoka, the former #4 of the Spiders. His allegiance to the spider was never true and he was willing for the existence of the Spider to perish.
But the one to replace him was Kalluto Zoldyck, the youngest member of the famous Zoldyck family.
As of now, it looks like he is getting along with them, and based on chapter 377 and 380, he has found some sort of comfort with them.
I mean look at Kalluto sitting near Machi, whom I previously analyzed based off of her speech language as someone considerate to kids.
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 377 (Official English Translation)
And how she is reacting when Illumi revealed to Mizai about everyone in the Phantom Troupe onboard the ship.
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 380 (Official English Translation)
Even so, how can Kalluto be a false fourth moon?
Because he is a Zoldyck.
At some point in the current arc, he will have to choose between the Zoldyck family and the Spiders, considering the fact that Illumi is most likely in cahoots with Hisoka, who is trying to kill the Spiders and have a rematch with Chrollo, perhaps.
And he will definitely choose the family. Because before he is a Phantom Troupe member, he is a Zoldyck. Knowing the dynamics of the family and all of that, I think he will have no choice but to choose his own biological family over the one he found some comfort with. Thus, he has always been a false fourth moon, just like Hisoka.
"With this, those that remain will become 6."
Whether this happens before, during, or after the Hisoka and Chrollo being alone together on a hot day, it doesn't matter. I predict that there will be six members of the Phantom Troupe left, including Chrollo.
And you know what's funny, I think the ones who will have to die are Shizuku and Bonolenov, as I stated previously.
Because:
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 397 (Unofficial English Translations)
The ones who will be left will be the original Phantom Troupe members.
Originally, there are nine members. But three of them are already dead: Pakunoda, Uvogin and Shalnark.
When Shizuku and Bonolenov dies, the ones who will be left will be Nobunaga, Phinks, Feitan, Franklin, Machi, and Chrollo.
The original six.
I really think that if this will be the case, then we have a big potential or two when it comes to exploring the dynamics and relationships between the founding members. We have already witnessed the tension and conflict between the founding members when Chrollo was kidnapped by Kurapika back in Yorknew.
So this time it'll be interesting if we see it once again. And it'll be better if six of them are alive, but Chrollo is alone with Hisoka and they are far away from the other five. It'll be another dilemma for them once again. Do you save Chrollo or do you live on and keep the Spider alive?
And it'll be more interesting if the other people's predictions that the Hei-Ly family had something to do with Sarasa's death and the six founding members finds out about this and ends up being face to face with the benefactor.
These two events can tie into the Spiders' backstory a lot with the former possibly igniting or making them recollect the strong bonds that existed back on that day in the forest and the latter resolving the grudge and guilt they have been carrying since childhood.
Also, having the six founding members dying at the same time or together can be melancholic and sorrowful. A tragic and sad ending, but which provided them resolution and catharsis.
Tumblr media
And that's about it. I hope you enjoyed reading my predictions. This post has been in my drafts since the day before my birthday last year and I just completed it in one sitting. Finally, I posted something decent after a long time.
Anyways, I'll go to sleep now. It's like 2 or 3 am here right now.
Until then.

Yorknew just isn't Yorknew if it isn't in the 1999 anime. Oh yeah, been a while since a Late-Night Togashiposting. Not as tied to one single point but these are always fun and we can have a lot of it talking about one shared theme with our cherished melodramatic samurai. The very anime concept of this Adjacent Ensemble, the Phantom Troupe, and the Akazaya Nine. Really though I was blown away by this moment on my latest rewatch. I've always liked Neon Nostrade a lot, she's my Miss Goldenweek equivalent in HxH in terms of a not-at-all popular side character who's one of my favorites. Lovely Ghostwriter is a Nen power I'd really want. Honestly I was just blown away by the violin version of "Then Sun Shines At Night," the really good theme for this part of the adaptation. Check it out a least if you only know the 2011 anime:
youtube
Anyways, cool extra bonus for one of Neon's better scenes. I love this idea her power actually seems to come from a very pure place. And you have that classic type of Togashi connection through some kind of pop culture refernce. Talking about how a famous fortune teller called the Galactic Matron. You know, kinda like meeting someone who randomly said they were inspired by Miss Cleo. Who was an icon let us be clear. More than anything though this was my first watch of Yorknew since we got all the newer background for the Phantom Troupe. Holy crap...this was all there. I builds off what we knew so well. I love how free-flowing but tight Hunter x Hunter ends up being. Greed Island makes more sense as a training module for the Dark Continent, a brief pause in the Chimera Ants to show off Meteor City and some lore from the Chrollo/Hisoka fight building up to that...great.
The current arc is so dense and staggered I forgot creepy Prince Tserri is the benefactor of Morena and the Heil-Ly Family the Phantom Troupe have decided to target. Kurapika is really set up for the ultimate test of who he is. Pitting his quest to reclaim the eyes against his deep yearning for revenge all while the human element of keeping Woble alive complicates things. There's a reason I don't care if this man takes his time. Remember, Kurama's big moment was killing a kid if it meant saving the world.
It's so cool in hindsight though what we have with Neon and this interaction with Chrollo. Like, Neon Nostrade looks a lot different with more of the story. She's a brat because of her environment but there's a strong enough drive behind that belief in the power of fortunes she spontaneously awakened Nen. And lost it because the darkness of the world reached her. Through a former sweetie who decided to be a villain over trauma.

⛓️⛓️⛓️
Something I find fascinating is that no matter where Kurapika goes, he can't help but make connections even if he's not trying to. First it was Gon, Killua, and Leorio. Then it was Melody and Basho, and now we have Oito, Woble, Bill, and Shimano.
I feel like that is something worth talking about and why I feel like Kurapika's not as down a dark path as a lot of people seem to think. It'd be way easier for him to succeed if he was truly so ruthless and uncaring but he has his own detours that steer him away from his goal.
First it was moving to help his friends when they got captured for his sake (without a second though btw) and now it seems like he will do the same to protect Oito and Woble. There also feels like there's another set up with all those eyes and a head of a kurta (if it really is Pairo then oof..) that might make him test those limits as well and the fact that the spiders are aboard the ship too.
(He is just so caring and it leads to things he doesn't want but needs at the same time ugh it's so good)
bonus semi related thoughts under the cut
I feel like Togashi has gotta avoid doing the same thing over again with Kurapika that he did with Gon in terms of seeing the big bad kill someone who meant a lot to him in his childhood and goes berserk. As cool as it'd be to see Kurapika go totally crazy like Gon did, it'd just be a repeat of past events so...
This gets me thinking that the sacrifice angle will really come into play and that Kurapika will move to save Oito and Woble over getting the eyes or something of the sort... I think the head being there is what will make the choice so much harder because it's no longer just disembodies eyes but they will belong to someone that he knew (Pairo or not, the village was fairly small I'm sure he knew almost everyone there) so it will really feel like losing someone again.
I adore how quickly Kurapika dropped the revenge to save Gon and Killua to diffuse the situation but I want him to really have a dilemma this time, especially since he'll be losing some of the eyes not just trying to get revenge on the cause.

Nihilism in the Succession Arc
I’ve written extensively about Togashi’s existentialism and how it permeates Hunter x Hunter’s story. However, in the Succession Arc, Togashi seems to be employing nihilist themes much more, likely to create an even greater distinction between the two philosophies.
Theta
Firstly, the idea that Theta is “trapped” is reiterated throughout the Tserriednich plot.
Tumblr media
Salkov explains to Theta that she is the only one capable of stopping—or at least, slowing—Tserrednich’s rise to power. It’s actually Theta’s own competence, ironically, that locks her into this position. Like she says, it’s not fair: She doesn’t have a choice regarding her fate.
The idea of fairness is closely tied to nihilism in that a nihilist world can essentially be broken down into random, chaotic events. Things don’t happen for a reason—in fact, they specifically happen for no reason at all. It would seem that, thus far, there’s no special reason Theta in particular was forced into this quest. A quest which, even if she successfully completes, means death:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alternatively, if she fails, an even worse fate awaits her:
Tumblr media
If there is a meaning to Theta’s quest, it seems like something akin to divine punishment. But, as far as we know, Theta hasn’t done anything to deserve such a thing. To quote one of my favorite games, “is there no punishment greater than that for which we do not know the reason?” (Blasphemous)
Her entrapment is restated when she tells Tserriednich she knows Nen.
Tumblr media
She has to do it. She has no choice. This contrasts starkly with the existentialism of previous arcs. I suspect, however, that this is all setup for a massive existentialist turn later on.
Keeney
Probably the most overt example of nihilism in this arc, Keeney chooses to take the fall for Kacho and Fugetsu’s escape by taking his own life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Keeney’s last act is a desperate grasp for meaning. His wife and daughter died in an accident—in other words, a random event, and one he had no control over. There was no reason for them to die, and this weighs heavily on Keeney. As a consequence, he decides his death (and what remains of his life) will serve a greater purpose, helping to save “two wonderful girls” (a phrase that could also be used to refer to his own wife and daughter).
However, Keeney’s plan seems to fail miserably. He succeeds in taking the fall for the escape, but the escape itself is unsuccessful, and actually leads to Kacho’s death. Not only that, but it’s discovered the two princes were actually trapped the whole time. So we have a concrete representation of being trapped (the wall of hands outside the ship) and a metaphorical representation of being trapped (Theta and Keeney, among others).
The escape chapter, for me, is not only one of the best but also one of the darkest. Hunter x Hunter has never shied away from dark themes, but there always seemed to be light at the end of the tunnel. Chapter 383, however, is incredibly bleak, and while we can imagine the escape attempt eventually benefitting our protagonists, there’s no guarantee that it will.
Kurapika
When considering the nihilist themes of the Succession Arc, it would be a mistake to forget that nihilism is at the core of Kurapika’s character arc right now.
Tumblr media
Kurapika believes that, after collecting the last of the Scarlet Eyes, his life will have no purpose. He is, of course, wrong, but he doesn’t realize that. Instead, he has trapped himself in a self-destructive cycle—one that punishes him for no reason other than his own angst and survivor’s guilt.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
There are a few other characters I believe embody the philosophy of nihilism (i.e. Sandra, who makes the brave decision to stay by Woble’s side only to quickly meet her demise), as well as others who may in the future (i.e. Halkenburg). Togashi is setting up a contrast between nihilism and existentialism, which I believe will culminate in a massive existentialist turn at the end of the arc. In the case of Theta and Keeney, it’s easy to see how their actions may have a great influence on the later story. Theta could be the one who informs others on the nature of Tserriednich’s Nen ability, while the existence of Kacho’s Nen Beast and Melody’s detainment will have trickling effects.
The climax of this arc will likely involve Kurapika’s rejection of nihilism and acceptance of his future. Freed from his quest, he will no longer be “trapped”.

Little tought about the succession war
We already Have the survivor princes ?
🚨 THIS IS JUST A TOUGHT OF MINE AND WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TOGASHI SENSEI WILL DO FOR THE NEXT CHAPTERS 🚨
Tumblr media
Hello! Today i want to share a tought about the succession war that's currently taking place in HxH. As you can note, Togashi sensei always put 3 specific princes together ( In order ): Fugetsu, Mariyam and Woble are always put in a "group of their own",in the manga, in riepilogations, official illustrations and also in the shikishi. It can mean something ? Maybe no. Or maybe yes. Maybe, and i still say Maybe:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
• Obivously i hope like everybody that Fugetsu will feel better after what we saw in ch.400. I also hypothize that maybe she know that kacho is a spirit beast now and maybe she will give her some advice for the future events.
• Probably they can also create an Alliance with Oito/Woble, due also to melody and kurapika, as i think that we can even get that Finally Fugetsu will rebel to her mother and along with Kacho, Ilardia, ladiolus and melody will move away. Also i'm sure she will be protective and fond of Woble and will do anything to protect her ( in think she will do so for ANY Child ❤).
• We can count that if they will start move on their own, maybe also Fu will stars a " Consulence Tour" along kacho, melody or some guards, to see some princes (a situation like Oito's meeting with Zhang Lei ).
• i also think that maybe the Final match will resolve in a Two factions war ( some by Tserriednich's side and some by Fu as candidates for the throne Obivously i imagine woble, mariyam and maybe also Tyson by Fu's side while Camilla and benjamin by Tserri's. Halken and Tubeppa are the most unpredictable, since tubeppa has pratically found a sort of link for an Alliance with both Tserri and Woble, But i still think that there's good in Halken. )
• In way or another there will be a huge caos ( Maybe because of Morena, Hisoka, the Phantom Troupe or all together), that will put the main boat ( the luxury one ) in danger. This probably will get at a mess that major part of the remaining princes will be murdered ( between themselves or by the mess happening. ) at some point, they will discover the chamber where momoze is ( maybe the Kakin tree and it's secret will be discovered.). By realizing what's going on, the dead princes are put in there, including Nasubi's half brothers ( yes. Them. I also think that Morena is the most dangerous and i think she will also survive), killed during the mess. For me at least for what i think, it will happen a really sad but fundamental Moment. A container must be filled. And there's still the Trolley Problem. Which is choosing between the other princes or the people of the kingdom. Maybe the great tree of Kakin will be a very important fact to what's happening. And that's the point. I think that, to allow the tree's Role to be complied, Halkenburg will sacrifice himself. In a high note, he will ask fugetsu to shot him, so that with him the great tree of Kakin will be complete. Is obivous that she won't, but he will told her that this is necessary for the kingdom and everybody else ( trolley problem ), and he's sure that she will be the one kakin needs to reach the future he wanted to create himself. So, the act has to be done. The thing will be on her conscience for many long, but it has to be worth for the kingdom.
• and so, after everything is done, is probably that she will became the monarch. And i think that she will save Woble and Mariyam. They're children. They shouldn't pay the price.
in short words, Fugetsu, Mariyam and Woble will be the ONLY SURVIVORS of the succession war.
Is also probably that the spirit beasts will disappear after everybody will leave the ship. I also imagine, after the post shot breakdown, while trying to reach the life boats in a situation Titanic style, kacho will reassure Fu, by tolding her that there will be so many people that will be near her and that will never leave her alone, also admitting that she is also capable to show strenght, and that everything will be worth it. All with the chef's kiss of her pushing her twin with both hands on the back foward. Towards the future. While she has disappeard. I also imagine how Fu will watch Back by see that nobody's there, as she smiles bittersweetly While starting to run. I also think that both Kurapika and few members of the Spiders, and like i said before also morena, will survive too, and the final fight probably will be Kept for the final arc.
So.. that's it. I make you remember that this is only a tought of mine and we don't know what Togashi sensei will do for the next chapters.

The Paper Army: Twisted Time
A Pathfinder Chronicle
Chronicler: Dela Lerias
Monday, 30 October, 2085 A.D.
I almost lost myself to the painful silence. So lost, I thought the clunking thwacks of humanoid feet against the black streets were simply the chaos in my ears. A nudge from Dutch gave me a moment's calm. I looked at Sorcha, her dragons eyes narrowed in thick concentration. Assessing my situation, I realized several important things at once. George could not shift. My first line of defense. Sorcha was warry. Dhampir was still really tall, and convenatly, wearing his cape. I hid behind it. It may seem cowardly. Please be kind to my child's form. I am small, and rather easy to harm.
Knowing I could not rely on Sorcha to carry me, nor Dhampir to balance my form on his shoulders, I caught Sorcha's eye. Touching the lance like hair stick my locks were twisted around, I asked without words: Was it safe? Should I? She nodded. I pulled my hair stick out, and spoke, "VAZAR!"
I felt something happen. I know it did. All of our eyes watched as colorful streaks of blue and purple light left lance I now held, flowed around a corner causing a flash of light, accompanied by a rather odd yelp. We shared gazes before Sorchia looked around the wall. Stifling a chortle, red painted talons calling Dahmpir forward, she shared a joke. Frustrated, I too looked, seeing a large, shaggy dog dressed in Erastilian armor, saddle shimmering and helm bright.
"I… that… where is my elk?" I asked confused, surprised, blanketed in terror muffled by disbelief. Wibble-Wobles is a magnificent steed. When in war from, he stands as tall as a grown dragon's knee. This… was a smelly, raggy mutt. I approached the dog anyway. A bow, a hesitant touch, and a very long held breath allowed me to mount the dog - once it stopped turning in circles, trying to figure out what was going on.
Sorcha waved her hand, causing a light wind to cyclone the dog, taking the stench away. Dhampir suggested that perhaps the range of magic - being from another time at the very least - meant that Wibbles could not be summoned here. The dog was the next animal in range who fit the values of Erastil, and so was chosen as a worthy mount. Despite the fleas. I very much intend to deal with that as quickly as possible.
Faced with this maze of stone and buildings, I looked at Sorcha for guidance. The sorceress told us the goal was to reach the towering wall. We almost made it.
Faced with beasts that seemed necromantic dreams, I cringed deep inside. They had skin chalked white, eyes sharp pinpricks of white in a sea of black icorr. One carried a pipe while another walked with a … dog? of some sort. It, too, was hairless, skin and bone sharply taunt. I barely had time to register pity for the animal before they screamed, attacking.
George struggled to shift, his little rat form racing from one shoulder to the next, puffing up, his squeaks of rage sharp. Dutch sat on high alert, ears tracking danger, as he used his basic ability to keep me focused. Dhampir was not having any of this 'zombies that are not zombies' nonsense. A flick of his hand sent two scorching hot rays of plasmatic flame towards one of the man shaped terrors. The flesh burned, holes dripping white instead of blood. "Well, that works," he said with casual ease.
Sorcha followed suit, tossing fire from her soul with masterful ease. Another monster fell, head obliterated by darts of dragons flame. I wanted to help as well. Fire, fire, and me? I was never good with flame. Not as good as they. But zombies have working hearts, but not minds. It's part of the magic that lets them 'live' without 'being'. How could I counter that? Suddenly I recalled the Heart Drum. Slapping my hands on slender thighs, I prepared to rummage my pocket when suddenly it appeared strapped into place. Sticks in hand, I blinked and, with nothing to loose, tried to activate the magic trapped with in. I felt nothing. It was just a soldier's drum. Frustration blushed my cheeks as I hurled the drum with both hands like the improvised weapon it had become, I startled as the drum smacked into the head of the same creature Dhampir had gravely wounded. The drum puffed out of existence as the monster fell, immediately giving off a rancid smell.
The not-dead dog jumped, ready to take a chunk out of my life, causing my mount to spin back, trying to live. George squeaked, eyes blazing green light as he managed to shift into his war-rat form, holy sword forming in his taloned grip. Before he landed, the weapon stabbed deep into the black walking path below the zombie-dog's belly, the beast's back snapped, stomach rendered. George poofed back into a rat, unable to hold his form for long, the sword disappearing when he changed.
As I scooped George up, cleaning his paws, we watched with curled lip as the not-quite- zombies turned into goop, wreaking, and fizzing like defeated ooze.
A second latter, Sorcha spun around, listening, her pointed ears twitching. Eyes flinging this way and that, she paused, ran to a busted door of metal, then called us over with a wave of her hand. "In here. Quickly!" We obeyed. We sat listening as what could only be a hundred, perhaps more, of those things came by. Hunting, searching for the source of the battle - short as it was. Once, a skin-dog-thing got close, but was quickly called away. We must have spent hours in that dark, damp place, waiting, daring to breathe.
When Sorcha gave the order, we slipped free, racing towards the wall. Several more times we had to take down a stray zombie or two, until at last, we were faced with something Sorcha called the 'Arcology Doors'.
Sorcha pointed to long tubes slowly spinning, then a pink lit tunnel with a metal plate to the side. "Bio scanners and turrets," she explained. I asked about the range on this city siege device. She simply answered, "Yes." It was then she spied danger. Pointing it out to the rest of us, I backed the dog up several paces. Quietly, Sorcha slipped from cover to cover, getting closer to the gnomish devices. When she ran out of cover, the turrets turned as one to her, a light grazing her form, red and ominous. It blinked, turning a sickly green before resuming their normal pattern of rotation.
Meanwhile, the danger noticed. It was a different type of ghoul. Long fingered, cloaked, eyes covered in some sort of device. It stood, tall and strangely thin, aiming at Sorcha with a bow made of metal. In an instant I called upon the Bow of Erastil, refusing to consider failure. My mind pictured a serrated arrow. As I drew the shimmering string, the arrow formed. I let loose, the enemy slipping back, the arrow grazing his flesh, leaving a jagged cut. The soft green light of spring growth, lit with holy hearth warmth, blazed with godly might. Sorcha, alert to the weak spot, threw bolts of force into the wound, opening it more. Dhampir followed suit. I was very sure this would be a quick defeat when the red light flared towards my position. My arrow called the gnomish devices! I unsummoned the bow, backing the dog up, trying my best to get away from that dangerous light. It stopped at a distance, turning green, leaving me exhaling a cloud of stress. Then Sorcha hissed.
The ghoul-thing let loose a long arrow, piercing her shoulder despite the chain shirt she wore under her gown. Despite her artful dodge. Despite her powerful deflection. The black bolt twisted, changing, bending until it caught her. It seemed to think, to follow her every move. I have never seen such an arrow not shot by Erastil, yet I saw no magic - cursed or divine - in that miniature lance. The pain on Sorcha's face etched a mark of agony between her eyes, lighting them with golden fire. Whatever else the arrow was supposed to do, her dragon's blood refused.
The monster dropped off the roof, cloak spreading like tattered wings as it glided towards the sorceress. I could hear George squeak mean things as he tried again to become large. Dutch readied his jump, prepared to harry the villain into submission, and I screamed. "No! Don't! Stay Where You Are!" I felt magic go off. I had no idea why. Something inside seemed to glimmer from that crack in the soul. What ever it did, I do not know. Sorcha stumbled back, missiles of pure magic blasting from her hands, putting distance between herself and the creature.
I heard music I had never known before. The slip of a sword, eleven made, drawn from a sheath in time with another. Dhampir moved as one with his Lady. In a feat of speed he closed the distance, sword sinking into flesh, cutting through to the other side, white icorr flying across the black streets. The thing screamed, swearing words I did not know. It spun with force, facing Dhampir, nails growing green and long, mouth splitting its face into a poisonous, sharp toothed maw. As its cloak fell I saw a missing ear, the other long and pointed, chinked as if chewed upon. It slashed, claws digging into Dhampir's biceps as it drew the arch mage closer for a bite. Lord N'Resh is no stranger to the Vampire's Kiss. He knew how to counter. But as he did so, the look of dawning horror on his face caused panic to show on mine. He couldn't move. I could see him trying. George raced across the dog, ready to leap into the fray - rat sized or not. Feeling my panic, Dutch licked my head, his little lagomorphic tong shifting my headband back and forth. I couldn't think what to do, so I called out. "Hit Him Real Hard!" I don't know why I thought that would help. Sorcha, seeing Dhampir in mortal danger, unable to defend himself, made quick work of the monster, spearing its heart with her blade. The body dropped, things falling out of torn and broken places. The eye covers fell off its face as the head bounced on the black rode. White pinprick eyes in a sea of unreleased black. It was a ghoul. An eleven ghoul.
I stared as Sorcha checked her shoulder, calling me forth. I was set to the task of finding my anti venom. A vile I searched for a long time to find. So long, Dhampir shook off the paralyzation himself. Where did all my stuff go? My pockets were all but empty. Even the one with the magic hole. As Sorcha tucked things into her bag of holding, I looked at Dhampir, his wounds having to bleed out the vile green stuff. Should I heal him now? Later? I looked at the iron snake about his waist, dangling limp like a belt, rather than a magical thing. If it did not activate, then it should be okay, right?

Three brats??
Dad!Sukuna x f!reader
So this is basically a comfort fic, featuring dad! Sukuna because the brainrot was too much. Ok so, the reader and Sukuna have a son together, yes their son is Yuuji, I know this is usually the single father Sukuna trope, but I wanted to give it a go, feedback is always appreciated. Thanks for brainrotting with me @likeab-o-s-s cause this is the reason this exists. That's all from me enjoy reading.
Warnings: none really, just family, heartwarming fluff.
The air was crisp and fresh, unusually refreshing for the beginning of summer. Parents were already gathered outside the daycare, Yuuji, y/n's and Sukuna's son attended, patiently waiting for their kids to run in their arms again.
Sukuna arrived a couple of minutes before the final bell on his motorcycle, he took off his helmet, leaned back on his bike and waited for the familiar little pink head of hair to come wobling to him.
The three mothers next to him, scooted a bit closer to him to get a better look nothing he's unfamiliar with and no one can blame them, Sukuna is a sight for sore eyes. Leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up, extenuating his board shoulders, exposing his tattoo covered skin, v neck white t shirt, allowing his toned chest and even more of his tattoos to show and a simple black pair of pants hugging his muscular thighs in the best of ways.
In the past some of the bolder ones had mustered the courage and asked him if he was a single father since they had never seen his son's mother, but with a laugh Sukuna brushed them off telling them how his lovely wife was a working parent and her schedule just didn't match the daycares. Maybe the very unconventional wedding rings they got weren't the best idea in this situation, even though they were extremely beautiful and unique.
"I really admire the work you put in the little guy" Sukuna's gaze met a woman who attempted to strike a conversation, oblivious to what she had meant by her statement he replied, maybe these three minutes would pass faster talking about normal things and not stressing about work.
"Don't we all put work on our kids?" He spoke calmly with a slight smile that he always wore when talking about Yuuji.
"Yeah, we do, but it still must be hard I can't imagine what you're going through" Sukuna's mind went to the worst scenario. Was Yuuji a trouble maker at school? He is a very well behaved child, both him and y/n made sure to teach him proper manners and how to be polite, that couldn't be it right?
The bell rung, and kids made their way out of the daycare, Yuuji in the blink of an eye was hugging his father's leg, exited to see him after the hours he was gone. In a swift motion Sukuna put Yuuji's little backpack on his own back and scooped the boy up in his arm.
"Yuuji's a pretty good kid, hes never been difficult" Sukuna smilled again resuming in the short conversation with the woman next to him. "Single father's like you don't get the credit they deserve". She spoke again smiling sadly down to the little pink haired boy who seemed too fixated on the earrings his father was wearing.
Sukuna finally understanding what this whole thing was about, chuckled, this had happened before after all, he should've known.
"I'm not a single parent, speaking of that your mom said she has a big surprise for you after dinner" he said directing his attention to his son again, the woman next to him quickly fumbled an apology for missundertanding, to which Sukuna replied to with a simple 'dont worry about it'. He placed Yuuji on his bike, put on both his and his boys helmet and drove off.
Y/n was still stuck at work, thankfully her husband would cook dinner tonight cause overtime was killing both her and her mood, good thing she finally had a day off tomorrow.
Y/n checked her phone to see how close she was to going home only to find a text that Yuuji's teacher had send her that was obviously meant for her husband.
Hello Mr Itadori, this is Mrs Laura from the day care. I was wondering if you wanted to get launch with me after school tomorrow, you can bring little Yuuji too, I'm awaiting your response, have a nice night.
What the hell was that? Well y/n's number was in Yuuji's contact information, she chuckled at the words displayed on her screen but she couldn't really blame the teach, Sukuna was a walking temptation, she knew that first hand, hell she fell head over heels for the dangerous looking guy who hid a heart of gold under his hard exterior, but the teacher could at least check who the number belonged to.
Y/n run her last errands and made sure to pick up Yuuji's surprise before heading home, she even tipped Sukuna off so their son wouldn't know what hit him.
Y/n made her way inside the family house, tossing her keys somewhere on the living room couch.
Yuuji immediately after hearing her car in the driveway came rushing down the stairs, jumping around her like he always did when she came home.
"Mom, mom you're home." The happiness was evident in the boys face, his smile was wide when y/n dropped to his level to pick him up and spin him around
"Yes I am little devil, did you give your father hell like we agreed?" She spoke in the happiest of tones with Yuuji still in her arms. Another set of arms engulfed her frame making her halt on spinning the little boy.
"So you're telling him to be a little brat now huh?" Sukuna's breath tickled the side of her neck and ear as he rested his head on her shoulder and wrapped his strong arms around her waist. "Welcome home love" he spoke again giving her jaw a ghost of a kiss.
"Daddy is the food ready" Yuuji spoke from y/n's arms, Sukuna only laughed at his son's appetite, and directed both him and y/n to the kitchen where he had already set everything up.
"Mommy, what is a single dad?" Yuuji asked in the middle of dinner in typical fashion of his, any question he had from something he heard through the day would always come up during dinner.
"Well Yuuji, single fathers are the fathers who raise their kids alone." The young boy seemed to think about his mother's words before speaking again. "So its just a daddy ?" Yuuji asked again with his eyes growing a bit sadder, his mother nodded, and Yuuji's eyes started to water.
"Baby what's wrong?" y/n asked. "Hey buddy what's going on?" Sukuna was growing quite concerned too. Yuuji burst in tears leaving his seat, climbing up his dad and hugging him tightly. Sukuna was rubbing his back to comfort the young boy and y/n's hand was stroking the kids hair in an effort to calm him down. "B-but why did that lady c-call you that, is m-mommy l-leaving?" Everything seemed to click for Sukuna, y/n was still confused but in the calmest sweetest voice said "Yuuji, baby look at me, I'm not going anywhere ok?" And the boy left his father's arms and clung on to her like his life depended on it.
Sukuna cracked a few jokes and lightened Yuuji's mood so he could enjoy the rest of his dinner, which went pretty well, he was his smiling adorable self very soon after his parents reassured him that none of them were ever leaving his side and the boy was now drawing with crayons in the living room. He seemed to have completely forgotten about the surprise his father mentioned when he picked him up.
Y/n and Sukuna were doing the dishes in the kitchen, each one talking about their day, Sukuna explained the awkward conversation he had at the daycare that sparked Yuuji's sadness, y/n took a turn in talking about how her son's teacher, basically asked Sukuna out on a date but messed up and texted her. "How about you set up a date and you show up? I mean it's you she texted right?" Sukuna joked "Babe, that's cruel" y/n chuckled at her husband's mischievous nature.
"So you've got everything ready?" Sukuna asked. "yeah who'll bring him over?"
"You do it I'll keep Yuuji busy."
Sukuna joined Yuuji on the couch. "What are you drawing little brat?" Y/n heard him ask their boy in the usual sweet tone he had with him. She made her way down the basement, where she kept the surprise since she came home. Yuuji was going to love this, Sukuna was too, she knew she was already in love as well.
Y/n climbed the stairs quickly, and snuck up behind her son, who was occupied by his dad, she gently tapped the boys shoulder.
"A PUPPY" Yuuji announced exited making sure his voice was still soft not to scare the eager dog that his mom brought to his arms. Yuuji gently held the puppy that was licking his face as he was in a fit of laughter and excitement. Sukuna was as exited as his son and y/n had a huge smile on her face too. Their son had begged and begged for a dog ever since his best friend, Megumi got a black German shepherd puppy. Of course y/n and Sukuna wanted to comply to Yuuji's request right away, but they took time to teach little Yuuji everything there was about the responsibility of owning a dog. They took him to dog cafes and shelters, so he would be the perfect little dog owner, they taught him patience and responsibility beforehand. Sukuna visited the local shelter and decided with y/n on a white Shepard puppy that Yuuji always pointed out in your visits because 'he looks like Megumi's puppy they can be friends like we are' who can say no to that little adorable devil?
The puppy momentarily left Yuuji's arms to lick Sukuna's face. "Now we've got two little brats and a big one in our house." He laughed, enjoying the moment.
Y/n was admiring her son and husband as well as the newest member of the family with a smile plastered wide on her face, life was indeed beautiful.
The next day, both Sukuna and y/n were waiting for Yuuji to finish school, since y/n had the day off. Sukuna had his arm protectively around her because this time, others were staring at what was his, but he was proud to show her off to everyone, even in a place as mundane as his son's daycare.

warnings: mentions of kurapika passing out, just some cute fluff for the most perfect boy <3
author’s note: if you haven’t read the manga this might be just a lil confusing but there aren’t any spoilers in this if you were wondering!!

guys i want kurapika so bad </3
imagine being a servant for prince woble on the trip to the dark continent. when kurapika goes on break, bill goes to take his place which leaves him alone in the hunter’s sleeping quarters. you always manage to slip away when you see bill go on shift and peek into the room.
he’s taking off his black suit jacket and undoing the first few buttons of his white dress shirt when he notices you. he invites you in and tells you that he’s getting ready to lay down for a quick nap.
the two of you have been dancing around each other’s feelings since boarding the black whale, and you didn’t want to disturb him when he very clearly needed the rest. you were about to excuse yourself so he could rest before he spoke.
“would you like to lay down with me?”
you must’ve let the shock show on your face because he quickly followed up his question with reassurances saying you didn’t have to if you didn’t want to, apologies tumbling out of his mouth.
you giggle quietly as you made your way to him, “that would be nice.”
the two of you squeeze into the small bottom bunk. your back is pressed against his chest, you cuddle closer to him when he rests his hand on your hip.
“i think you should take more than just a quick nap. you seem really tired lately,” you mumbled playing with his other hand absentmindedly.
you were right, of course. after he had passed out from using emperor time too long, not only was he tired but his head had been ringing from the exertion.
he pressed his face into your neck, “maybe i will since you’re here with me,” he mumbled.

[id: a screenshot of discord messages from no gender, only kurapika, which reads, “okay so first of all???? their dynamic means EVERYTHING to me. theyre obsessed w each other they never talk they love each other they hate each other theyre meant for each other theyre forbidden lovers. and the fact that theyre foils but r so similar in just as many ways????? like how theyre both traumatized due to losing a loved one (or several loved ones in kurapikas case) but they deal w it in different ways. leorio becomes a doctor so he can heal ppl and prevent that from happening again and kurapika goes after revenge. leorio holds everyone he loves dear while kurapika pushes them away. leorio doesnt talk abt his trauma AT ALL and wears a mask pretending to be this arrogant bastard who only wants money. kurapika is the worlds worst oversharer and while he also puts up a mask to prevent him from getting too attached, its hard for them too when they love their friends SO MUCH. ESP LEORIO LIKE U COULD TELL THE FUCKER WANTED TO GET TO KNOW HIM. and u wanna know why???? bc for the first fucking time in four YEARS, he understood them. right away they despised each other but that left as quickly as the love peeked in
u guys know i LOOOOOVE conflicts in relationships and leopika scratches the right itch like UGHGHGHGH MY ADHD LATCHED ONTO THEM SO HARD!!!! they dont always get along and they dont communicate the best like. they dont even confront whats been bothering them abt each other esp in succession when they meet up and IMMEDIATELY talk abt their mission instead of idk???? catching up and calling out each others bullshit???? thats smth i can relate to as a mentally ill person. but theyre BOTH SO COMPASSIONATE even if they fuck up sometimes. either w each other or others. i hate how ppl try to act like leopikas dynamic is perfect and they always get along, but they DONT. theyre both mentally ill adults who dk how to communicate properly and thats okay bc theyre healing!!! theyre learning!!!! and theyre both afraid to lose each other !!!!!!!!!!! and while i think they can help each other cope w each others trauma i think they also need to heal and deal w themselves before they can be w each other and communicate healthily. which is prolly why i hate most interpretations of leopika besides uhh. ppl making leorio call kurapika selfish and ppl making them The Dads of gon and killua and even woble and overall a huge misunderstanding of how their dynamic works. like leorio deosnt spend countless hours yearning abt kurapika, he understands kurapika enough to know that they wouldnt benefit from that and he only calls them that one time to say gon is in danger of dying. like they clearly understand each other from that to kurapika KNOWING right off the bat that leorio was lying abt being selfish and greedy and yet most fans STILL misinterpret them
idk i guess what i love most abt them is that theyre not ur standard romances where everythings perfect and its not like things get solved easily between them. theyre both human, and theyre well written characters on their own merit so it also annoys me when ppl only see them as shipping fuel. like i love this ship which is why im writing this, but u guys can also look at them individually too. and if u dont, then u wont understand why their relationship WORKS so well.” each message has a heart emoji under it. end id].
me when im autistic <3
