An old chapter is reopened, that force and distinction that drove Barbara Roberts to the top of F1 for two consecutive years, back home. Malibu Racing is a new temple, the extension of a legacy.

Barbara Roberts, Team Principal and CEO of Malibu Racing F1 Team has her origins tied to history books. A two-time world champion whose on-track abilities couldn’t be ignored. A fierce competitor who came back for more.

At the young age of four, Barbara began chasing the excitement behind the wheel, observing karting races closely, going home, and developing her talent with each lap of her uncle’s old kart. She found happiness in speed, enjoyed visiting the Phoenix Street Circuit each year, obsessed over the Indy500, and watched Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost challenge each other throughout the years. Suddenly, she began to dream about a hot-pink car, all her notebooks filled with drawings of it. She, as well as her family, then understood that racing was a fire that needed to be fueled.

Roberts made her kart racing debut at the age of eight, and after winning her first race, it was a matter of time before her name was engraved on several US-based kart championship trophies. However, further progress would require expanding horizons, which prompted the Roberts to move across the ocean in 1994, supporting Barbara for what could be a challenging career.

Europe was fast, she stayed faster. By fourteen her collection of kart titles included national, international, and world championships. Every race and practice aimed for that unattainable perfection, being aware of the judging eyes on each step she took. At 16 years old, Roberts was fearless, deciding to pursue another dream of hers, an engineering career. She used to say that the pressure was a reminder of what was yet to come.

Pieces began to fall into place, Barbara embarked on single-seaters as soon as age allowed it. Her first title in Monoposto Racing Club was followed by titles in Formula BMW ADAC, Formula Renault, and the Formula 3 Euro Series — all consecutive titles. And bound to keep the momentum, she started hunting for a seat in Formula One, closing the deal with BMW Williams in a reserve capacity for 2004 and securing a race seat for the 2005 season.

Debuting at 21, Barbara spent her year fighting at the midfield in struggling machinery, yet was able to finish 10th in the World Championship, once again pouring ink on paper for what would be BMW Sauber in 2006. An improvement in reliability for her sophomore season placed Roberts on track for her maiden Grand Prix victory in the streets of Monaco, an unbelievable, emotional, and well-remembered drive that holds her in the tracks’ spotlight to this day.

For the 2007 season, Scuderia Ferrari took the bet on two young talents: Barbara Roberts and Kimi Räikkönen, giving both drivers the exact same 3-year-contract and an opportunity to make history.

The pair held a fiery battle all season, ending in one of the most astonishing title deciders in the sport’s history, where the world championship rested on their number of wins due to a tie in the points. The crown sealed on Räikkönen, but Barbara’s own would arrive that very next year, securing it after 8 wins and 15 total podiums.

In her final year of mastery, Roberts became a double World Champion after a year-long battle against Brawn’s Jenson Button, three points separating them. And despite being contracted to race in 2010, Roberts decided to leave F1 behind at the end of the 2009 season.

After her F1 retirement, Barbara has taken on different roles and challenges throughout the years. In 2011 revealing her retirement's original reason, Roberts announced her new position as CEO of her family’s emblematic automobile manufacturer, Malibu Motors, linking nostalgia with modernity. In 2016, they held the biggest car launch in history, presenting one supercar and seven SUVs which resulted into having six of those as the bestselling cars of the year. In 2017, Malibu Motors became part of the Formula 3 engine programme, making the public think that was her only form of a comeback to motorsport. Yet, one year later, a victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans was waiting for her and former rivals, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button. And, in for 2019, she begun sponsoring multiple young women across motorsport, mentoring those in the path to Formula One.

Important figures of the sport, old colleagues, and the public, believed Barbara would be back in the car sooner or later, but after fourteen years, she has opted for a different path. A decade-long project becomes reality in 2023, with two hot-pink cars flying on track, resembling Barbie’s old childhood drawings.

Summer of 4th year and Harry's all alone, dealing with his grief and the sudden revelation that James Potter is not his father. Support comes in a strange form. The form of Theo Nott, son of a death Eater. A strange friend who says he'll help him find his true father, whoever this Lord Prince might be.

I legit didn't sleep for the entire night bcs i can't stop reading it's just that GOOD. The quality and lenght of this series are amazing. House of Prince Theo is the base of my fanon Theo. Smart, Observant, Loyal and utterly Scary. Theo who's very devoted with his traditions. Theo who wield KNIFES. And it doesn't need to be said but Harry is also amazing in this one. He's stubborn, strong, and utterly loyal. Not Dumbledore or Sirius friendly though so i do warn you if you like both of them.

The Answering Machine Message by SunsetRiot (13k)

The answer machine beeps again; someone’s going to leave him another message. He hears his voice. It sounds so alive. They sound so happy. It’s getting harder to hear his voice these days; it’s getting harder to accept that he’s gone. He wonders what the person leaving a message is saying this time; probably offering their condolences, trying to send a message of hope through a stupid muggle machine, it’s all people seem to be doing these days. He hears another beep and he knows the persons finished leaving their message. He doesn’t care. He doesn’t want words, or hope or anything. What he wants is gone. Theodore Nott is dead and Harry Potter doesn’t know how to carry on living.

We have too much fluff therefore i need to recommend some angst. It's a bleak world for Harry without Theo there.

A strange little head-canon about Keegan I got...

Keegan is loaded.

He comes from a legacy military family. His dad is a retired Marine captain with the ethos that his vows never expire... His grandpa was a Marine, his great-grandpa was a naval officer who later married a nurse in WWII...

He's the kind of rich where he KNOWS he's rich, but is sometimes disconnected about HOW rich he is. Like, he'll just, out-of-pocket mention he used to help his Momma out in her garden, so he seems home-grown... But then also mention she dropped 10 grand trying to renovate her green-house and get confused as why people look at him funny.

The kind of rich where his parents didn't have to try to get Keegan enrolled in any particular military boarding school. He could basically go anywhere he wanted.

The kind of rich where his dad gave him his 2-year old BMW as a starter car when he turned 16.

In a way, this left a chip on his shoulder. He soon started to realize people expected him to perform well in drills and classes because he was rich, not because he was actually smart or had any degree of skill or discipline.

"Of course he's a stop student, he's a RUSS."

This drove him to work incredibly hard as a cadet, not content to be known for his family name or daddy's money.

He was the first of the three Russ brothers who really pushed for his call-sign to be his given name as opposed to his surname.

BMW has overhauled its R nineT platform and added an affordable new R 12 cruiser to the range

BMW introduces the upgraded R 12 nineT roadster and the all-new R 12 cruiser, sharing the R 12 platform but drawing inspiration from the larger R 18 relative. Set to hit Australian roads in the first quarter of 2024, the R 12 cruiser comes with a starting price of $20,210 (plus on-road costs), while the R 12 nineT roadster is priced from $23,990 (plus on-road costs).

Both motorcycles are equipped with BMW's renowned 1170cc air/oil-cooled Boxer twin engine, showcasing a fresh frame design and advanced technology. Building on the legacy of the original R nineT released in 2013, the new R 12 platform features a one-piece tubular bridge steel spaceframe with a bolted-on rear frame, reducing weight and enhancing the chassis's simplicity and aesthetics.

Introducing round analogue gauges for speed and RPM (optional tachometer for the R 12 cruiser), the platform also offers a digital TFT display as an ex-works option. Ride modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic for the R12 nineT and Rock and Roll for the R 12), ABS Pro, dynamic traction control, drag torque control, USB-C and 12 V sockets, keyless ignition, and LED lighting are standard features.

The engine boasts a new integrated airbox under the seat, delivering 80kW and 115Nm for the R 12 nineT, and 70kW and 110Nm for the R 12 cruiser. Suspension is managed by upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a Paralever swinging arm with a rear spring strut at the back, with the R 12 nineT's fork being fully adjustable.

The braking system includes radially mounted 4-piston monobloc brake calipers, steel flex brake lines, and floating 310mm discs. Each model offers three paint schemes, along with a variety of optional extras and features, providing riders with a customizable and powerful riding experience.

seeing anti-gmw discourse on the tl so i thought i'd add my two cents

gmw was an egregious hell fire that squandered a once beloved sitcom's legacy and there is not a single thing in three seasons of that shitshow that made it worth producing BUT you guys need to stop acting like bmw didn't also have blatant propaganda.

cult fiction is one of the most famous episodes of the show and the entire resolution is about shawn finding god bc he's pressured into filling the "empty void" inside of him with something other than the cult......the hypocrisy was going crazy. (they also make a big point about the power of prayer in resurrection when josh is in the nicu, but this is a far less offensive example bc the matthews had already been established as being at least somewhat religious.) like there is an entire scene in CF w the matthews guilting shawn into finding god bc he needs something to fill that void.

rider strong also spoke about the show's weird holier than thou view about sex. he got into an argument with michael jacobs about not just saying cory and topanga wanted to have sex, but to discuss safe sex options for them bc it was the respoonsible thing to do. as usual, rider is right and the show consistently put corpanga in a pedestal bc they weren't having sex. like.....at least once an episode in 6-pre wedding 7 they would talk about how their relationship is so mature and how they're the perfect couple (......while cory would berate topanga for not being comfortable w all that). there is an episode where cory/topanga call shawn/angela "sluts" bc they are having pre-marital sex (the misogynoir of this is not lost on me either)

the bmw-gmw universe has always had propaganda, you guys just didn't notice it when you were kids

She couldn't believe herself.

"Come on, Ava."

Avalie Thompson, a well-known San Diego firefighter for her stubborn and determined nature, let her older brother convince her to go drinking. "You're 40 years old, I don't know why you had to ask me to come."

"Because I want you to meet Natasha, and she wants you to meet someone," Henry reasoned, jumping from his BMW and excitedly closed the car door. She was happy that he was so impatient to see his wife again—he really deserved to love—and she shouldn't be so upset about it.

Maybe she could start talking to one of her sister-in-law's coworkers. First responders weren't the greatest match for her.

As she followed her brother into the bar, The Hard Deck, Avalie's eyes fell on a head of dark blonde-brown curls across the room. The man attached was big, too. Broad shoulders, thick neck. But the curls were what really caught her focused.

Avalie loved curls, especially on guys. She loved running her hands through curls, and she really hoped this man worked with Natasha.

And that Natasha was nice.

"Nat!" Henry shouted over the loud chattering of naval pilots.

A pretty woman, roughly in her mid-thirties, looked up at Henry's voice and a huge smile cracked her confused expression. She shoved a pool stick at one of her friends, weaving around the populated bar to wrap her arms around Henry.

He held on her hair, fingers lacing between locks, and pressed a kiss to the back of her head. "You're as strong as ever, dear."

Avalie stood to the side, letting her brother spend some time with his wife before introductions began. When she noticed Natasha looking, Avalie sent her a shy wave.

Natasha looked up at Henry, asking him something before turning around. "Rooster!"

The man with the beautiful curls turned around, his eyes searching the crowd. When he caught his friend's gaze, 'Rooster' moved around the other pilots to Natasha.

"Sis, this is Nat," Henry began, holding his wife's hand momentarily before Nat let go to shake Avalie's hand. "Dear, this is Avalie, the younger sister. She's been working a lot."

"Firefighter, right? I get it—have to prove that you're just as good at what you do as the guys you work with."

"Exactly!" Avalie grinned, looking up at Henry. "I love her already. You could learn a thing or two, Hen."

Natasha bit her lip, turning to grab someone. "You might not like me after you find out I'm gonna try setting you up with this old man."

"I'm two years older than you," 'Rooster' frowned at Natasha as he was shoved forward. "Hi. I'm Bradley."

"Avalie." She returned the awkward smile. "First time I'm meeting my sister-in-law and I'm being set up with her friend."

Bradley chuckled. "Yeah, Nat can be like that. She's great though. Stubborn, and determined."

"Makes sense why Henry said we'd get along then."

"Yeah, I've heard about you. Mostly about saving those kids from the building collapse a while back," Bradley leaned against the bar next to her. "Pretty cool, you know. It's great that you're saving lives."

Avalie smiled, "runs in the family, I guess. Dad's a surgeon and mama's a paramedic. The oldest brother's a scientist, Henry's a doctor."

"Saving lives is hereditary nature for you, then. Legacy life saver."

"Like you, right?" Avalie asked. "Henry mentioned one of Nat's friends who followed in his dad's footsteps-"

Bradley smiled. Oh how she loved that smile. "Yeah, that's me. Dad really got me into flying when I was a kid, and I guess it stuck after we lost him."

"I'm sorry."

"There's nothing to be sorry about," He smiled again, taking her hand in reassurance. "It was an accident with the jet, and he died doing what he loved. In the end, it should've been expected."

"Still. I shouldn't have brought him up." Avalie took a sip of her drink, hoping to drown out the awkward feeling tightening in her stomach.

She felt Bradley's eyes watching her face, as she kept her eyes on her swirling drink. "You've lost someone too, haven't you? To the job, I mean."

"My, uh," Avalie gulped, swallowing another mouthful, "my mentor died in the warehouse fire a year ago."

He moved his hand to her's again.

Bradley knew how hard it was talking about his dad, and he pretty much asked her to talk about her mentor. God you're an idiot.

"It was a freak electrical accident, but I can't get his wife's face out of my head." She placed her glass on the table and held her forehead in her empty hand. "And his little guy—oh the look on his little face when she told him his daddy wasn't coming home."

"None of that was your fault," Bradley murmured, squeezing her hand and wishing he hadn't asked. Her charming sage green eyes were staring at the bar now, and didn't even spare him a glance.

He felt her hand slip away as she stood up. "It was lovely to meet you, Bradley, but I think I'm going to head home now." She slipped her credit card onto the bar top, "just give my card back to Henry and I'll get it from him in the morning."

"I can drive you home." Bradley offered, giving Penny his card to pay for their drinks. "I don't want something happening to you between now and tomorrow."

Avalie looked up at him, "are you offering to stay with me to protect me? I can defend myself, Bradley."

"I–I know that, I just— I feel bad and I want to make it up to you."

"What? You asked a question, it's not your fault I got upset answering it."

Bradley thanked Penny as he shoved his card into his pocket. "Please. And I— look, I'm not going to lie, I like spending time with you and I don't have to stay over, but I'm happy to drive you home."

"I don't know how Henry would feel," she bit her lip, looking around Bradley to look for her brother in the crowd. "Probably upset I said nothing. Alright, I'll give you my address."

She took his hand in hers out to the parking lot, and he guided her to his bronco. He opened the door for her, and as she looked up at him, Bradley got to see her green eyes shine in the moonlight.

"What a gentleman." She grinned, climbing in. Bradley made his way around to the driver's side, tapping on the hood as he did. She gave him the first direction to her house, and he left the carpark with his ears tuned to her voice. "So, you're a navy pilot with Natasha?"

Bradley nodded. "Yep. We met on that last deployment, actually. Fast friends."

"She seems nice. I like her, especially for Henry."

"Your brother seems nice," Bradley raised his eyebrows. "A little frightening, but not in a way he'd knock me out."

"Oh he would. For our mom and I, anyway.",

"Family man then."

"Oh, big family man. We grew up in Texas with our paternal family—which, mind you, is huge—before we moved to California for Mom's job. San Diego needed another paramedic and she offered." Avalie waved her hands around as she talked about her childhood. "I was about 13, at the time. Maybe 14. Henry was already 16 when we moved and Nick, our older brother, was 18. So he stayed in Texas with Grandma until he started college."

Bradley hummed, "I always wanted siblings. Never had the chance, of course. Nat's the closest person I have to a sister."

"Well, if we ever get married, you'll have my little sis for a sister too," Avalie chuckled, as the words fell out of her mouth.

It took him by surprise. He'd love to marry her, of course—she was incredibly pretty, funny and her job made her all that much amazing to him. "You want to marry me?"

"In time, of course. I'd have to go on a few dates, start dating you before I even propose. Oh, this left."

"You're proposing?" Bradley raised an eyebrow, turning left at her indication. "Stray from traditions, I see."

Avalie shrugged out of the corner of his eye. "I just don't get why the men have to propose, especially in the 21st century. I've always wanted to propose."

As he pulled up at her house, Bradley smiled. "Then how about I propose those few dates you mentioned. I'll ask you out on the second one, we can still go on that third date, and you plan a proposal." He watched as she smiled happily at him.

"Deal." She took her credit card back from him, and climbed out of his stopped bronco. She stopped at the driver's side of the car in her driveway, "do you want to come in, or are you going home alone?"

He didn't hesitate to take the keys out of the ignition, jumping out to follow her inside. It wasn't overly big, but it felt the right size for the two of them. And the German Shepherd she apparently had. "Who's this?"

"This is Rover. Range Rover, but I'm not calling him that." Avalie laughed, scratching the dog between his ears as he lapped at Bradley's hand. "He's an ex-police dog. His handler died and the handler's family didn't want him. He was going to be put down since they couldn't find any way to keep him with the department, so I took him after a bit of advertising."

Bradley looked up at her, absolutely enamoured by this woman. "Saving human and animal lives. God, is there anything you can't do?"

"Pick good men," she snorted, heading off further into the house. "Thank everything that Nat picked you for me. There's a spare bedroom across the hall from mine you can sleep in. I'm sure Henry doesn't mind you borrowing his clothes to sleep in."

Bradley watched Rover follow after Avalie, and he couldn't help but feel the same. He wanted to be at her beck and call every moment of the day.

He couldn't wait for that first date.
