Kaeya's departure had affected you deeply. While his absence had not been a source of unhappiness for you before, his absence this time meant a very unexpected change in your intrusion.
Captain Kaeya Alberich had left three weeks ago. Whatever his assignment was, Kaeya was taking up more of his time than usual, and that disturbed your psyche in unfortunate ways. The festivities were approaching at breakneck speed, something had happened last year that caused the days to pass more quickly. The festivities were just around the corner....
Every year, Kaeya had taken time out of his busy schedule to visit the Mondstadt Adventurers' Guild to tell the children about his adventures and answer any questions they might have. This year, however, he was still out of town, far from the villages, busy near the walls of Sumeru.
"Who will take care of the children this year?" Barbara asked, a sharp, desperate tone in her voice.
"I could help," you reassured the young woman. The idea had suddenly occurred to you, in your homeland you were called a buffoon and a clown... in Mondstadt you were called like Venti: a bard, and you were the joy of the children.
You had donned Kaeya's cloak, gloves, and cape, the design draped over your shoulder like a wing, giving you the appearance of the owner of the garments. The need to play his role had consumed you, as it had long ago when you sang songs about the Battle of the Archons or performed some anthology pretending to be a warrior of the past....
You were on the outskirts of Dragonspine, in the camp the Knights of Favonius had set up for the people. Various figures in the snow and amusing sculptures made by the children, bonfires and torches all around, as well as various colorful decorations, all in keeping with the festivities.
You chatted with the children about the adventures Kaeya had told you during the dinners around the fire in your shared home, you acted them out for them as if you were him, you swung your sword and even threw back the cloth of your cloak as Kaeya used to do.
You drank, fuck, you drank as if Kaeya had possessed your soul, and you joked with Diluc as if you were 'brothers'. With some people you even became seductive, charming and flirtatious. You couldn't help it, his personality had taken over you.
"Y/n?"
They called your name, and all your theatrics were destroyed with the mere utterance of your name from HIS lips, with HIS tone of voice....
"Kaeya?" you turned to him, who was analyzing you with crossed arms. He cocked his head and you did the same, he walked towards you, his steps precise and with a certain rhythm, you imitated him.
"It bothers me," he said....
"Does it bother you that I look so attractive with these facades?" you asked, putting your hands on your hips, he just nodded slowly, a ripple of new emotions running down his spine.
"Well, you should see me without them," you whispered, very sure of yourself.
Reality hit you like a bucket of cold water. You had never behaved like that, you were not shameless, you never made advances to your boyfriend, he took care of that in the relationship. Maybe that was why he had taken you by the hand and forced you to walk behind him, away from the festival, away from the people... away from any curious eyes that might be disturbed by the spectacle Kaeya wanted you to give him.
"I didn't think you were so bold," he said as he sank his face into your shoulder, inhaling the mixture of your scent and his, cursed goblet, this formula was driving him crazy.
He had carried you to one of his makeshift campsites and laid you on poorly arranged sheets while his hands slipped under your clothes.
"Mmh~" you sighed and tried to pull away his hands that were under your blouse, massaging your breasts.
"Cat's got your tongue?" he asked, a mischievous smile peeking through his lips, "I'll take this off...it's mine..." he said, taking off your coat.
"Does it bother you that your clothes look better on me than on you?" you blurted out suddenly, your voice calm, your face a clear poem.
"Brat," he whispered, kissing your chin, wet caresses from his lips and tongue, "I have to fuck this nasty behavior away from you."
"Try," fuck, what was wrong with you? Testing him like that wasn't your thing, you had a hard time getting rid of his philosophy.
"I want to hear you say it," he ordered, towering over you as he took off his clothes.
"Say what?" you asked.
"The salute you made," he said as he took off his gloves, the one on his left hand with his teeth.
"Enchantée," you said, mimicking his tone.
"You're so much like me," he let out a soft laugh, "I fucked you so well, so deeply, I literally left some of me in you, huh? Or maybe you missed me so much that you went crazy?"
"Kaeya don't say things like that, someone might hear you," you whispered.
"That's the y/n I know," he said as his hands moved down your hips, pulling your pants down to your ankles.
"Take off your panties, my dear," he said as he undid his boxers, leaving him completely naked.
You did as he commanded, remaining clothed from the top but uncovered from the waist down. Kaeya lay in front of you, propped up on one elbow, like a painting. Tan skin, lean muscles shaping his skin, sculpted torso and abdomen, masculine arms accentuated by his work. One of his legs was bent, the other relaxed, the throbbing member peeking over his thighs.
"Touch yourself," he commanded, and you looked at him, stunned.
"What?" was all that could come out of your mouth."You heard me," he reiterated, his voice firm and thick.
"Cl~ close up the tent tight," you said, the thought of showing off in front of him had dampened your center.
"I won't, I want the moonlight to come in, I want to watch you sink your fingers into you with my clothes on," he said.
You couldn't help it, the thought of him ordering you around, seeing himself exposed in front of you, eager to see you fumble with his own clothes while his cock throbbed in anticipation of your performance to satisfy his fantasy. You propped yourself up on your elbows and spread your knees, your fingers sliding delicately under your belly, tracing your groin and reaching the oasis between your thighs.
"Eyes on me," he said, "eyes on me, all the time."
You couldn't, of course not, you weren't going to masturbate in front of him, looking at his face, that beautiful tanned face framed by blue curls. But you couldn't avoid giving in to your instincts, the shameful desire to feel yourself prey to him.
Without taking your eyes off him, you slipped your fingers between your folds, your fingers immediately soaking in your wetness, the glistening of your juices reflected in the bright moonlight peeking out of the tent where you both surrendered to your most painful fantasies. You parted your folds and captured your throbbing clit with your finger. You shuddered at the contact and let out a barely audible moan.
"I want to hear you," he declared, who had remained motionless, his pose the same, "don't limit yourself."
An embarrassed moan escaped your lips, the movements of your fingers were precise, pressing every fiber of your nervous bulge, tearing at your belly with pleasure, wrenching the most pitiful expressions from your face. The rhythm increased, the sound of your fluids sloshing against your fingers in time with your lustful gasps.Your other hand slipped into your entrance, your fingers penetrating your rubbery walls, the sound of wetness filling Kaeya's ears as he began to take care of his cock.He clenched his member in a fist and slid his hand in time with your fingers, both masturbating in sync.
The red head of his cock sought relief, pre-cum leaking from the tip, Kaeya's muscles tensing from the movement.
"Just like that, pretty," he gasped, the movement of his hand mimicking the rhythm of yours. His other hand in a fist, clutching at nothing, prey to the pleasure he took in seeing you like that, open to him.
"Kaeya~" his name slipped from your lips in an awkward moan, pain turning to pleasure, shame turning to lust.
"Yes y/n, say my name," he added, throwing his head back, his fist clutching his cock as if it was your pussy, beads of sweat running down his forehead and neck. He was desperate, he was losing his mind….
"Ka… Kaeya… please… please," you begged between sobs, moans caught in your throat, your sex throbbing for more than just your fingers.
"Ask me for whatever you want, y/n," he said, sitting down in front of you, closer, never stopping his erotic movement.
"You know what I want," you said, your fingers still in your sex, your hands caressing his.
"I want to hear you," he said, resting his forehead against yours, your breaths mingling, desperate sighs meeting in a desperate dance.
"Please, y/n. I can't help you if you don't tell me clearly," Kaeya added, his chest rising and falling, breath escaping his lips.
Your noses brushed together, your eyes closed, your forehead furrowed… you didn't want to say it, it was embarrassing, but you needed it, you needed it now more than ever.
"Help me cum," you blurted out the sentence without remorse, knowing that he would never deny you an orgasm.
In one quick move, as quick as the situation and your clouded minds allowed, Kaeya took your hand and smothered his cock with it as his fingers slid into your tight hot hole in one deep slice.
"Agh~" you moaned as your walls sucked in his digits, your chin pressed to your chest, your shoulders tense, Kaeya's chin nestled in your neck, the breath of his moans in your ear.
"You missed me," he whispered, the warmth of his tone sending electric waves through your body.
He was right, you had longed for him these past weeks, it was almost sickening the need you had for him, and your body expressed that longing to be penetrated by his long, smooth fingers through volatile spasms.
Your hand didn't close around his thick cock, your fingers weren't long enough to do it, and that enraptured him. Resting his hand on the floor next to your hip, Kaeya leaned further into you, sinking his fingers deeper into your little pussy, parting the digits inside you, widening you for him.
"That… that… feels so… good," your words were a swirl of emotions, soft spasms between the lunges of his fingers.
You clung to him with one arm, digging your nails into his defined back, while your other hand continued its work on his cock, rubbing heavenly.
Your pussy clung even tighter to his fingers, and Kaeya knew what that meant….
"Cum on my fingers, y/n, I need you to come," he said, sounding more like a plea than a command.
"Kaeya~" your nails, marking his flesh under your nails, leaving crimson marks on his skin as he fingered that sensitive spot in your walls. You hadn't had a squirt in months, and this single movement was enough to get one.
Kaeya wrenched a shuddering orgasm from you, you screamed as you seemed to convulse as your volatile walls leaked fluid onto your lover's fingers. He held your head as you climaxed, your hand no longer on his cock, but on his thigh covered in his seed. The scene of you coming had brought him to his limit as well.
The scent of pine needles hung in the air, enveloping Kaeya and you in a cocoon of nature's embrace. Your hearts beat in unison, echoing the rhythmic cadence of your intertwined bodies.
The fire crackled softly outside the tent, casting dancing shadows on the canvas walls. Inside, the dim light illuminated your passion, illuminating the raw, visceral connection between you.
Kaeya stared at your glowing skin, your eyes locked with his as your bodies pressed tightly together.
You felt the heat of his breath against your neck, sending shivers down your spine.
"Y/n," he whispered hoarsely, as if evoking a memory, his voice barely audible over the low whisper of the wind outside.
His lips curved into a gentle smile, his fingers tracing delicate patterns along your back.
"It feels like we've been apart forever."
He kissed you softly, the taste of your mouth making him even more intoxicated.
His hands roamed your body, feeling every curve and valley, every muscle and sinew. You responded with enthusiasm, your hands exploring his form with equal fervor. Your passion grew more intense, the fire between you threatening to consume you completely.
As he stripped you of the last of your clothes, you delighted in looking at each other, naked and vulnerable. Kaeya admired the way your breasts bounced gently with each breath, your nipples erect and inviting.
He leaned down and kissed you gently before taking one nipple between his lips and sucking gently until you moaned in pleasure.
His hand moved between your legs, fingers finding your wetness, sliding inside you, teasing your clit. You arched your back, pressing against him, digging your nails into his skin.
"I want you," you whispered huskily, your voice barely audible over the sounds of your passion. "Now."
Kaeya didn't need to be told twice; he positioned himself at your entrance and entered you, slowly at first, then faster, harder.
Your cries filled the small space around you, echoing off the tent walls like a symphony of pleasure. Kaeya embraced you, feeling your heart racing wildly beneath his fingers as he sank deeper into you. Each thrust sent waves of ecstasy through your body, making you arch your back and moan loudly.
"Fuck~" you cried out, meeting each of your movements with one of his.
Your bodies moved together as if in choreography, perfectly in tune with each other's desires. You could feel his muscles tense around you, drawing him deeper into your depths.
"You feel so good," you gasped, your voice strained from the effort.
Your hands gripped Kaeya's shoulders, your nails digging into his flesh just enough to remind you how much you wanted him.
You arched your back, pressing even harder against him, wanting more of him inside you.
"I want you too," Kaeya moaned, his body shaking with desire. His mouth found yours again, kissing it passionately, sucking greedily at your lips. His fingers dug into your hips, pulling you closer to him, pressing even harder against you.
Your bodies were now slick with sweat, your skin glistening in the dim light of the tent. You moaned softly, your voice a gentle purr against Kaeya's ear.
"Please, Kaeya, don't stop," you whispered, your words barely penetrating the thick air between you. You felt his muscles tense under your fingers, an answer to your pleas.
He buried his face in your neck as he kissed you softly. You knew what he was thinking: he was desperate, eager to please you. Your legs wrapped around his waist, holding him tight as he thrust deep into you.
Your orgasm exploded between the two of you, fragments of greed and lust, of ambition for your bodies, of belonging to each other.
He kissed you as if your soul was escaping through your lips, as if he wanted to own every last fragment of your being. He wrapped you in an embrace, warmth traveling between the two of you, traces of your orgasm.
"I love you," Kaeya whispered, very much like him after such a round.
"Don't go away again, please," you begged, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"If I leave for too long, I promise to take you with me," he whispered, leaving a kiss on your cheek and another on your chin. A smile on your neck was the last thing you felt before you fell asleep. ….
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

The Werejaguar and The Warrior Queen | Chapter 1: Phantoms
Tumblr media
Summary + Chapter 1
Pairing: Miguel O’Hara x Female Reader
Genre: Action, Adventure, Romance, Tragedy
Summary: You are the Great Queen of Sunspire, a kingdom infamous for it’s light magic. It’s a gift passed on from generation to generation and now you possess the ability. Things had been at peace until the sighting of phantoms and skeletons were reported on the outskirts of the kingdom. You decided to investigate and encounter a unique black jaguar with glowing red spots.
Tumblr media
As the Great Queen of Sunspire, the weight of your responsibilities bore down on you heavily. Six years had passed since you ascended to the throne, and while your reign had brought peace to the land, the demands of being a queen had taken their toll on you. To cope with the pressure, you honed your skills in light magic, finding solace and strength in the mastery of your abilities.
One fateful day, a traveling scholar named Robin arrived at your kingdom, bringing unsettling news of looming darkness. Reports had reached the outskirts of your kingdom, speaking of phantoms haunting the villages at night and people mysteriously vanishing. Troubled by these accounts, you knew it was your duty as the queen to investigate the source of this encroaching threat.
Under the cloak of night, accompanied by the scholar Robin and your trusted general, Lady Farah, you set out on horseback toward the afflicted villages. Clad in a blue tunic adorned with golden embroidery, a silver chain with a sun brooch fastened to your left shoulder, and armed with swords sheathed at your hips, you exuded regal determination.
Arriving at the town square, you convened with the village leaders, who relayed the strange phenomenon unfolding in their midst. The missing villagers had started to reappear, seemingly unharmed, but with chilling tales of a dark creature emanating a red glow that had returned them. This bizarre narrative only served to deepen the mystery surrounding the situation.
Tumblr media
Undeterred, your group ventured further into the enchanted woods, with three orbs of light conjured by your magic illuminating your path. The air grew heavy with an unnatural stillness, and shadows danced among the ancient trees, whispering tales of forgotten times. “My lady I don’t like this...” Lady Farah said, the grip on her spear tightening.
“I sense nothing but death if we continue on.” Robin slowed the horse’s movements.
“Perhaps we should split up. We can cover more ground that way.” You suggested.
“Absolutely not, your grace.” Farah glared.
“I’ll be fine Farah, and so will the two of you, the orbs not only give you light but can teleport you to safety.” You began to trot your horse ahead. Farah muttered to herself before heading east and Robin headed west. After a few more minutes of traveling north, you stopped your horse. You continued your journey north, with each passing minute bringing you closer to an unsettling revelation. Eventually, you brought your horse to a stop, feeling the hair on the back of your neck stand on end.
Sensing a lurking presence, you boldly called out, letting your stalker know that you were aware of their presence, “You can come out now.”
Suddenly, heavy footsteps approached from behind, and as you turned your horse, you were met with a sight that sent a shiver down your spine. Standing before you was an imposing figure, an eight-foot-tall man with piercing yellow eyes and a menacing grin. Clad in black armor and a flowing red cape, he exuded an aura of malevolence. The man dropped to one knee, bowing before you in a display of deference. "Such an honor to be in your presence, your grace, and wielder of light," He declared.
You raised a brow at this, “I know you not, are you the one responsible for the disappearances?”
The man let out a low chuckle and stood up tall, “More than that your grace, you stand before the Great Phantom King, Malik! And I will have this land as my own!” Unfazed by his grandiosity, you dismounted your horse, maintaining a steely gaze as you confronted him. However, in a swift turn of events, ghoulish hands emerged from the ground, gripping your ankles, while phantoms seized your arms and pressed them behind your back, restraining you. Your horse, startled by the commotion, neighed loudly and galloped away from the scene. Malik closed in on you and cupped your chin with his large hand, “You will be my prisoner, my queen and I shall consume you with darkness. Then you shall serve me in this new world.”
You grinned defiantly, “You have no idea who I am then.” With a sudden surge of power, your eyes turned white, radiating a brilliant light. Uttering incantations in an ancient language, you summoned a bolt of lightning that struck the very spot where you stood, dispelling the phantoms and pushing Malik back. As your eyes returned to normal, you unsheathed your swords, preparing to face off against the malevolent being. Malik drew his dark blade and charged at you.
Your agility and grace allowed you to evade his attacks, striking at his legs with your blades. However, to your astonishment, his wounds healed instantly, defying the laws of nature. Malik laughed triumphantly, swinging his blade in your direction. You ducked and hurled one of your swords at him, using your magic to summon a lightning strike. The powerful bolt crashed into Malik's chest, sending him crashing to the ground.
The lightning strikes caused dark clouds to form and rain poured down. You now knew you needed to retreat, the rain was blurring your vision of your enemy. You turned and ran the opposite direction of where Malik had collapsed. As you ran the ground shook and bramble shot up from the ground and ensnared your legs. You struggled to break free, hitting your sword against the thorned vines.
You froze when you noticed the phantoms appearing and surrounding you. You readied your magic but before you could strike them, a thunderous roar reverberated through the air. A colossal creature emerged from the shadows, pouncing on the phantoms and tearing them apart with ferocity. Amidst the chaos, you managed to free yourself from the entangling bramble, witnessing the creature's valiant defense. As the battle raged on, the creature shielded you from further harm, its red eyes meeting yours with a sense of intelligence that transcended that of a mere beast. Its obsidian fur adorned with glowing red spots shimmered like embers, exuding an aura of mystique.
"Thank you, my friend...Who are you?" You asked. In response, the jaguar emitted a low, rumbling growl that reverberated through the surrounding trees. You extended your hand out to hover over its’ head and you slowly stepped closer. The jaguar didn’t move and brought its’ head up to meet the palm of your hand. A smile tugged at your lips as you gently petted the magnificent creature, appreciating its beauty and fierce loyalty.
“I bet you’re the one helping those people, huh?” You said softly. The jaguar pulled its’ head back and nodded at your words. “You can understand me?” You gasped. The creature’s head whipped to its’ left when the galloping of horses was heard.
“Your grace!!” Farah shouted. The jaguar looked at you and ran off, leaving behind a few red embers. You quickly picked them up before they faded away and sealed them in a magic bubble. You’d investigate when you got home. “Thank goodness, you’re alright!” Farah dismounted her horse and rushed to your side.
“I am, thanks to the creature of the forest.” You smiled looking ahead to where the creature had run off to.
“The creature?” Farah furrowed her brows.
“A black jaguar with beautiful red spots.”
“I have not heard of such a thing, your majesty, but we must hurry back home before the rain gets worse.”
“Ah, that was my doing, it appears I’ve found the source of the phantoms, but you’re right, let’s discuss this back at the palace.” You nodded and Farah helped you onto her horse. She sat behind you and urged the horse to leave the forest where you met up with Robin, who was preparing a search party. The three of you headed back to the kingdom, the jaguar watching you leave from the shadows of the forest...

South Africa’s West Coast National Park; a lesson in stumbling well
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From 2022- 2023, I spent a year in Cape Town through the Princeton in Africa Fellowship program. During those sunny days between Table and Lion’s Head Mountain, I visited West Coast National Park twice. The first time was filled with mistakes, mishaps, and silly American tourist vibes, but in the end, the missteps were steps forward, nonetheless. I did look up the park on the computer before our trip; I was excited at the sight of the miles and miles of untouched flower fields, excited for the potential for Instagram greatness. I grabbed my best friend and booked an Uber, sure that those were the only two ingredients for another great CPT adventure. Boy, did I miss a few things. For one, my timing was less than perfect. I had a pool party at my place planned for the same day; I was moving out of my scenic suburban neighborhood (more on that later) to head back to OBZ, and wanted to commemorate the time I spent just below the glorious Table Mountain by gathering a few close friends with a few Savannahs. Meaning, this trip to the park had to go seamlessly. But as I find often with life, there were many, many seams. For one, Just as we arrived at the park and waited in the long line of cars full of families, we found out the hard way that there was no walking allowed in the park, which was not said on the park website (or maybe its in fine print somewhere). So we had to call back our Uber driver who was already miles away at this point, which lost us about a half an hour. After waiting in line for a second time, we bought our tickets, and one for the Uber driver, and finally enjoyed the splendor of the West Coast National Park. But, I couldn’t truly enjoy it. While I was amongst the most beautiful fields of purple, yellow, and orange wildflowers, a scene that was only open to the public for two months out of the year, my mind was on the time. While I tried to let go and enjoy the fields and the flowers and my friend, the clouds of worry just wouldn’t leave my mind. I was hosting a party in just a few hours all my friends would be outside my house waiting for me, how could I relax and smell the flowers when we still had to stop at the grocery store? Preoccupied, ill-prepared, and anxious to be the perfect hostess, none of my pictures came out good. We hit a ton of traffic coming home, but managed to rush to the grocery store and arrive at my front door with only two of my party guests arriving on time, chatting on a tree stump outside. The party was a hit. My new friends, coworkers, and favorite barista united for a fun night of “deep chats”, and I felt loved and accomplished for having spent a year with people who get me. But I couldn’t have that be my last time amongst those flower fields. A month later me and the bestie tried again, this time armed with experience. We left our home before the park even opened. I packed three different cameras, determined to capture South Africa’s splendor in all her glory. With time to take our time, we explored the park, stopping to admire herds of horned animals, and even parking our car to let a turtle pass on the road. We sat on the beach, modeled with bags of special South African snacks, and sported our shiny plastic sunglasses. We posed amongst the flowers, commemorating what was truly the best year of my life thus far, right before I headed to the airport. I would not have gotten to this wonderful point without having the gall to be naive and gung-ho the first time. Even though I still struggle with being okay with making mistakes, this experience taught me how necessary they are in ultimately finding your footing. Mistakes are progress. And progress is good. So like I said, missteps are steps nonetheless.

Good Morning Miss Bliss Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Title: Good Morning Miss Bliss Chapter 1
Summary: Alexa Bliss is the host of a popular kids show on public TV. Follow her zany adventures with her friends Nikki, Bray, Braun, and Randy both on and off the screen.
Warnings: For right now, probably just language. Charlotte has a potty mouth.
AN: Totally based off the thing I put in the crack vid.
The lights were bright as the audience shuffled into their seats. Mainly kids who had bugged and bugged their parents to let them be apart of the studio audience, and had gone through the screening process to make sure everything was okay. The large cameras pointed at a stage, a little akin to Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, but with a budget about half. The audience was a flurry of excitment as the theme song started. 3, 2, 1
Miss Bliss popped up behind the window, waving at the kids before making her way to the front door and walking in.
“Good morning children!” Alexa Bliss, known just as Miss Bliss to her adoring fans, smiled brightly. “Good morning Miss Bliss.” The kids echoed. Alexa clapped her hands.
“Oh, we’re missing someone.” She tapped her finger on her cheek. “Who are we missing?”
“Husky Harris!” The kids all called out. Alexa smiled.
“That’s right. Maybe if we all say his name at the same time, he’ll show up. On the count of three, can you call for Husky? Ready? One, two, three!” “Husky!” The crowd all called out. That was Bray Wyatt’s cue. He was the clumsy, but endearing best friend Husky Harris. He came stumbling through the door, making the kids laugh.
“Oh Husky.” Alexa laughed, helping him up.
“Good morning Miss Bliss.” He held up some flowers. “I brought you some flowers!” “Oh Husky, they’re beautiful.” She smiled.
“Good! They came from your garden, I mean…” That got the kids to laugh. Bray was always good at that. They worked through their scenes, singing a couple songs and teaching the kids a couple lessons. The cast would take a small break to show a video related to the show’s subject of the day, which was sharing and caring. When Bray and Alexa returned to the stage, Alexa held a hand to hear ear, like she was listening to something.
“Do you hear that?” She asked Bray and the auidence.
“No? What is it?” Bray asked, looking around in such a way that made the kids laugh.
“Why, I think that’s our good friend Nikki!” Alexa smiled. Bray opened the door then, allowing Nikki Cross, who played Nikki A.S.H., to jump over the threshold, cape flying behind her. She put her hands on her hips and smiled. “Why, hello there Nikki!” Bray greeted her.
“Mr. Husky. Miss Bliss.” Nikki nodded at both of them. “I just had the most amazing adventure!” She proceeded to tell her story of her adventure to a town where all the kids shared their toys and crayons, and everyone was happy. After a couple more songs, and a visit from one of Bray’s puppets, the show was over. The trio waved goodbye to the kids before ducking backstage. “Good show as always Lexi,” Braun Strowman, one of the camera operators, told her as they came backstage.
“Oh, thank you Braun.” She smiled at him. “Couldn’t do it without you!” That seemed to short circuit his brain a little, because he quickly walked away. Alexa laughed and went to follow Nikki to costume. She saw Bray and Nikki watching their ever grumpy producer, Charlotte Flair, pace as she talked on her phone.
“That thing is gonna get glued to her ear.” Bray commented. Charlotte was too good to use a payphone like the rest of them.
“It’s the only thing that will listen to her.” Nikki scoffed as she removed her mask.
“We just gotta kill her with kindness guys.” Alexa headed over to Charlotte, waving a little when the producer glanced over at her. Charlotte rolled her eyes and focused on her conversation.
“But dad, that’s not fair!” Charlotte finally said. “Okay, fine. Bye.” She snapped her phone shut and turned to look at Alexa. “What do you want Lexi?”
“What did you think of the show?” She asked. Charlotte sighed.
“It’s the same as every other show we’ve done. Hard to get excited over.” Charlotte was in a pissy mood, which really wasn’t anything new. “Only thing that could make it better is if Abbey and Huskus killed the fucking rabbit on stage.”
“Woah, harsh.” Bray held his puppets to his chest. Charlotte rolled her eyes and again and marched off.
“Well, she’s just a real way of sunshine.” Nikki spoke up.
“I don’t know how you three put up with her.” Randy Orton walked up to them, a bowl of cookies in hand. “If she were my producer, there might be some powdered Comet on her spaghetti.” “Oh my.” Bray’s eyes widened. “I think I’m just gonna go change now.”
“I like you.” Nikki smirked before going to get her superhero costume off. Randy chuckled a little.
“You’ve got some…unique costars.” He told Alexa. “Oh, here’s some cookies.”
“Thanks Randy. You’re cookies are the best. I see why Matt tries to steal them all the time.”
“You hear the station wants us all to do something themed for Mark’s Halloween Specaular?” Randy asked. “I gotta figure out spooky foods for the show.”
“Oh man. Charlotte didn’t say anything. I’ll have to figure something out too.”
“Thankfully we still have time, and a lot of the time will be taken up by cartoons.” He looked at the watch on his wrist. “Well, I gotta go to make up. I’ll see you later Lexi.” He headed to where he filmed his cooking show, leaving Alexa to head to wardrobe.

4. 7, 26, 28 for the ask game! Hope you’re having a good day ✨
favourite dish specific for your country?
BUNNY CHOW. Weird name, there's no rabbit. basically Indian diaspora communities in Durban invented it as street food, it's a bun with a hollow hole in the middle, filled with curry!! Local KFC's also used to make my favourite (now defunct) meal based on this, the Streetwise Chow, which was similar except the bread hole was filled with a chicken strip and gravy…. RIP Chicken Chow i miss u every day.
I'm also partial to Milk Tart. Also Boerewors Rolls and Gatsbys are my fave streetfood (boerewors is our cultural sausage, and Gatsbys are a HUGE bun filled with meat, chips, and drippy sauces). Mapane Worms and Walkie Talkie Chicken look fun if ur adventurous!
three words from your native language that you like the most?
Choosing my second language (Afrikaans) for this bc there's sooo many emotive words there. Ontploffing (explosion) sounds great when said aloud. the word for "subject" like a school subject, is "vak". The letter V is an F in Afrikaans pronounciation. "Art is my favourite Fuck" :) And finally I LOVE THE WORD AARDVARK. NEVER HEARD AN AMERICAN SAY IT RIGHT. PEACE AND LOVE ON PLANET EARTH <3
does your nationality get portrayed in Hollywood/American media? what do you think about the portrayal?
Rarely, but I have never heard the accent done right. Americans trying to be Afrikaans makes me want to get in the soup. bro wgat the fuck… (every native South African i've seen use their own accent in hollywood is great!! John Kani is amazing as T'Chaka!!) (OKAY I WILL SAY. RYAN REYNOLDS SPOKE AFRIKAANS RLLY WELL IN THAT ONE MOVIE. WTF WAS THAT)
does your country have a lot of lakes, mountains, rivers? do you have favourites?
CAPE TOWN HAS TABLE MOUNTAIN I LOVE TABLE MOUNTAIN. big flat boy. I'm also fond of the Three Sisters, those hills look so weird!! great gas station there lol. UMMM orange river is cool. u will never guess why it's called that (it's orange). We have a lot of mountains i love all of them!! Table Mountain is SO lovely even though it's a tourist trap <3 i now no longer trust a city that does not have a big fuckass mountain at least close by… that's scary… too much Sky
Hope you are having a lovely day!! :D

Gaming Update No.1
Over the last few months I've been playing more D&D than ever before, even more than in my teen years. We have two campaigns running in slightly different systems: D&D5e and Old School Essentials.
5e players have adjusted well to the Old School Essentials re-writing of B/X and its different play style. So far we have explored The Jeweler's Sanctum, which is an adventure that accompanied last year's Kickstarter.
It took three sessions to play through it (roughly 3-4 hours each session). Within the first session the adventurers met, picked up the job and started to explore the dungeon. After dealing with some traps that are nicely signposted they started to explore the first few rooms. Now, this is a 1st level adventure and the monsters are generally very weak, but there is one beast in here that, if it is handled badly, will almost certainly kill one adventurer. Guess what? It did. The illusionist dragged a cape that was covered in Yellow Ochre Mold off of a chair and was hit by an explosion of spores. Fortunately, pre-game, I suggested that everyone make two characters, just in case this kind of thing occurred.
How to introduce a new character. With a 15 minute aside, a bold dwarf had found the sign asking for adventurers, talked to the gentleman who had the job, and started on their way into the dungeon. What a coincidence that this occurred shortly after the Illusionist choked to death... very handy for all concerned.
However, then they were attacked by centipedes, whose bite renders an adventurer stricken with poison for up to ten days. Utterly brutal. A little DM work around here, a Goblin Shaman in a nearby market was able to provide a cure for this, but at a price. This proved to be an invaluable contact later on, when most of the party were poisoned by randomly encountered centipedes.
The game was a success though. After three sessions they had found most of the loot and explored the entire place, although they didn't manage to figure out the story behind the random noises.
They also developed a healthy respect for giant centipedes. As a reward they were provided with a large tome, which had a treasure map tucked inside. They took the bait and traveled to the place depicted, a sullen forgotten hamlet. Once part of a wealthy estate, now decrepit and bereft of economy. In a field behind the ruins of a manor house, stood a pyramid tomb - the folly of Tun the Younger.
Here treasure lay, somewhere beneath this strange building. They prised open the door and found a large sarcophagus. Lifting the lid revealed a descending staircase.
Now, after their last adventure, they got wise and bought themselves a large variety of adventuring tools, including a 10ft pole. With a new sense of caution, they explored the rooms below, falling foul of both traps and then having a brutal fight with four skeleton guardians. Woe befell them, as the cleric suffered a mortal wound on the first round of combat, just before he was going to use his Turn Undead ability.
The group decided to re-seal the tomb and flee back to town to lick their wounds and find new allies.

South Africa is a beautiful country with incredible landscapes, wildlife, and people. It’s a perfect destination for travelers who want to experience something new. South Africa is one of Africa’s top tourist destinations because it has wonderful cities, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban, that offer amazing experiences.
Cape Town is one of the most scenic cities in the world and it’s home to Table Mountain, which is the tallest mountain in Cape Town and one of the most photographed mountains in the world. Johannesburg is South Africa’s economic hub, and it’s known for having incredible museums and a vibrant nightlife scene.
Durban is South Africa’s largest port and it’s known for its beautiful beaches and vibrant art scene. South Africa also has incredible wildlife. It has Big Five game reserves, including Kruger National Park, which is home to Africa’s largest population of elephants. South Africa also has 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
It also has numerous game reserves, including Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park, which is home to the world’s largest population of rhinos. Let’s explore this amazing country in detail.
Cape Town
Tumblr media
Located on the southwest coast of South Africa, the port city of Cape Town is nestled on a peninsula beneath the mountain called Table Mountain. From its flat top, you can take a rotating cable car for panoramic views of the harbor and city. From the top, you can also see the former prison of Nelson Mandela, now a living museum.
While the summer months are packed with visitors, springtime is a great time to visit Cape Town. This time of year offers great weather, lower prices, and few crowds. Daytime highs in spring are in the mid-70s Fahrenheit range. It’s still chilly on some days, but rainy days are few and far between. The weather in this season is ideal for outdoor activities and seeing the coastal blooms.
Aside from the sweeping views, Cape Town also offers a vibrant culture and a plethora of activities. It’s one of the few places where you can truly feel like a local. You can try hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, whale watching, or cage diving with great white sharks, among many others.
Johannesburg
Tumblr media
Whether you’re planning a safari or a layover on your next adventure, the city of Johannesburg is an amazing place to visit. It’s the largest city in South Africa and the busiest airport on the continent. It’s a great place for shopping and dining, and you can learn all about what to see and do while you’re in town.
While you’re in Johannesburg, be sure to visit the Apartheid Museum, where you can learn about the history of black people’s struggle for freedom. Visitors can view World War II fighter planes and medals, learn about war medicine, and witness life in the trenches during World War I.
This city also offers easy access to Pretoria, the country’s administrative capital, and the Cradle of Humankind, a UNESCO-listed paleoanthropological site.
Johannesburg is close to Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa, and the UNESCO-listed Cradle of Humankind.
Pretoria
Tumblr media
Pretoria is one of the country’s three capital cities and serves as the executive branch of government. In addition, the city is home to all foreign embassies in South Africa. Its neighboring cities are Cape Town and Bloemfontein, which are the legislative and judicial capitals.
For history buffs, a visit to the Union Buildings is a must-do. This building was designed by Sir Herbert Baker and opened in 1913. It houses the President’s office and is considered the executive seat of government. It features a grand view of the city and has beautiful gardens. While in Pretoria, you should also stop by the historic Voortrekker Monument.
If you’re interested in learning about South Africa’s history, you should visit the Boer War Monument, a museum, and a renovated blockhouse. The museum has interactive exhibits, a huge relief, and is surrounded by a green area. It’s worth paying a visit, even if it’s just for a short break.
The Union Buildings, where Nelson Mandela took the oath to become the president of South Africa, is another historical monument worth visiting.
The complex includes a meter-high statue of Mandela, placed in a symbolic stance facing the city. The statue is an impressive conversation piece. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to access this building, so you may want to book an Uber or use public transportation.
Franschhoek
Tumblr media
Visit Franschhoek in South Africa’s Western Cape for centuries-old vineyards, Cape Dutch architecture, and the Huguenot Memorial Museum. Hike the trails through the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve and enjoy views of the Franschhoek Valley. See vintage cars on display in the mountain farmland.
The town was once a sleepy country retreat, but a property boom in the 1990s led to a dramatic rise in property prices. The region is close to Cape Town and has ideal summer weather. The area is now one of the most sought-after residential addresses in South Africa. You can also visit the Bridge House School, which is outside of town.
Visitors to Franschhoek can hike or take a bike tour of the area. Hiking trails take visitors through vineyards and fields to the top of hills with spectacular views.
Franschhoek is also known as the gourmet capital of South Africa. Many of the town’s top restaurants are popular and book months in advance. Our favorite, Foliage, is a gorgeous place that features locally foraged ingredients. Another top-notch option is Le Quartier Francais, which serves a wide range of cuisines.
Soweto
Tumblr media
Soweto is home to some phenomenal Catholic churches, bike tours, local markets, and lush green farms. And, for those of you who prefer nightlife, there are plenty of bars and clubs to check out.
While you’re in Soweto, don’t miss a visit to the Apartheid museum, which is a must-see cultural experience. You’ll learn about the years of struggle in South Africa by visiting this museum.
Soweto is also home to the Nelson Mandela house, the Hector Pieterson Museum, and a number of popular restaurants. Download GPSmyCity on your smartphone and explore Soweto with ease. You’ll be able to get offline articles and a personal tour guide, and you can take advantage of the maps.
One of the most popular attractions in Soweto is the Nelson Mandela House, which was his home for fifteen years before being sentenced to prison. Now a National Heritage Site, the building is decorated with Mandela family memorabilia and gifts from dignitaries.
You can also visit the museum that commemorates the students who died during the 1976 student uprising. While there, you can get a feel for the underlying causes of the riots that swept the city.
Durban
Tumblr media
To get a taste of Africa, visit the coastal city of Durban in eastern South Africa. The city is a mix of African, Indian, and colonial influences. The city has a seafront promenade that was recently renovated for the 2010 World Cup. The city is also home to the Durban Botanical Gardens, which showcase African plants.
Bike rides along the promenade are a scenic way to explore the city. The journey can take up to three hours, and you can see the city’s landmarks such as the North Pier and the uShaka Marine World. For the adventurous, the city has some great water sports and a skydiving center. There is also the world’s tallest swing in the Moses Mabhida Stadium, and many other sights and activities to enjoy.
Another highlight of the Durban sightseeing tour is a visit to the city’s oldest botanical garden, which was founded in 1849. The gardens showcase plants and trees endemic to South Africa. Visitors can also visit the orchid house and view the spring-fed lake. Visitors can also admire the jacaranda trees that have been growing since the late 19th century.
Aside from the sea, Durban also boasts a diverse culture and cuisine. It is home to the largest concentration of Indian descendants outside of India, so it’s no surprise that the city is home to many Indian restaurants. Whether you’re looking for authentic Indian food or a taste of South African cuisine, Durban has something for everyone.
Kruger National Park
Tumblr media
The Kruger National Park is located in South Africa, in the Mpumalanga province. It is 250 miles (405 km) from Johannesburg. You can get to the park by air or by road. Getting there by road is easy, but you should make sure you have a vehicle that can handle the terrain.
The park is vast and unspoiled and it offers a variety of activities for visitors. There are bush walks, hiking trails, and safari rides. There is a good chance you’ll spot one of the Big Five if you visit the park. However, it’s also possible to get killed while in the park, although this is extremely rare.
The best time to visit the Kruger National Park is during the dry season, which falls between April and September. Because of the low water levels and sparse vegetation, you’ll have a better chance of seeing animals.

The Blyde River Canyon is an excellent location for birdwatching. There are many rare species of birds that can be seen. Some of these species include the Pel’s fishing owl, blue swallow, and Taita falcon. To see the most of the canyon, it’s best to drive along the R534 loop, a 15-kilometer road, which allows you to take in all of the major attractions.
You can also enjoy hiking, fly fishing, and hot air balloon rides. You’ll be amazed at the incredible biodiversity in this area. This region is home to many species of fish, antelope, crocodiles, and almost every species of primate in South Africa.

into the outback
The track to Palm Valley is an unlikely route for a tour bus. It begins just beyond the Hermannsburg aboriginal mission, 72 miles west of Alice Springs, in the arid, red-dirt emptiness of Australia’s Northern Territory. A large, weather-beaten white sign warns, No conventional vehicles to proceed beyond this point. For 12 miles, the rough-hewn track winds around the dry bed of the Finke River, over angular steps of solid rock littered with sharp chippings and soft patches of alluvial sand, to a deep gorge where rare species of palms, including prehistoric cycads, inexplicably flourish.
It’s hard work even for a four-wheel-drive truck. Not surprisingly, the chrome-plated coaches running daily between the Alice, as Alice Springs is known, and Ayers Rock do not include Palm Valley on their itineraries.
There are a lot of lonely places in the Territory. As the local license plates boast, this is outback Australia, the heartland of popular imagination, where fewer than 150,000 people occupy over half a million square miles of land, half of it a vast semidesert, the Red Center of the tourist brochures, and the other half, the tropical ‘top end’, a little-explored tangle of rough bush and rain forest and mangrove swamps growing into the Arafura Sea. The maps show only a handful of long roads through it all. The majority of water features on this map do not contain permanent water, travelers are cautioned. For anyone depending on conventional vehicles, much of the country is inaccessible.
The tour operators realise this and a few have adapted the fine Aussie pastime of bush bashing, pushing rugged four-wheel-drives across the rough, spinifex plains of the outback, to the benefit of the Territory’s booming tourist industry. Nowadays, depending on how long one wants to go bush and how much discomfort — heat, dust, mosquitoes, flies (especially the flies!), poisonous reptiles — one can take, there are a number of well-organized, adventurous and downright unusual safaris reaching even the most isolated stretches of the Territory.
Bill King’s Australian Adventure Tours is perhaps the best-known of them. Mr. King pioneered commercial four-wheel-drive expeditions not only throughout the Territory, from Ayers Rock to Bathurst and Melville islands, but nearly all of Australia’s seemingly endless wilderness, including the wild, jungle-like country of Cape York in Queensland and the hot, desolate ranges of the Kimberlys in northwest Australia. His company now offers 104 tours. The shortest is a three-hour bus ride around Alice Springs; the longest, a 30-day trek across the Northern Frontier: north to the Kimberlys from Alice Springs via the Tanami Desert, west to the pearling port of Broome, on the Indian Ocean, east to Darwin, Bathurst and Melville islands and the Kakadu National Park, south through aboriginal lands to the Gulf of Carpentaria, then back down to Alice Springs.
But outback itineraries would be less practical, and not nearly as much fun, without reliable off-road transportation. Bill King has, among other vehicles, the Unimog or, more properly, the Mercedes-Benz UL1700L, a desert cruiser powered by a 5.7-liter direct injection 6-cylinder turbo-charged diesel with eight forward and eight reverse gears, which can carry 21 people in air-conditioned comfort. Its slab-sided body, painted battleship-gray, and raised high off the road on big, heavy-tread tires, encloses a walk-in pantry, tool shop, a field kitchen, an ice box and plenty of storage space for the tents, bedrolls and other items necessary to survive, let alone have a good time, in the outback.
Alice Springs is a convenient base for Australian Adventure Tours, as it is for dozens of other tour companies in this part of the Territory. Each year, thousands of visitors crowd this pleasant and thriving near-city — no longer the ramshackle outback town of Neville Shute’s novel (but still in the middle of nowhere) — from where, they can get to the spectacular, orange-colored gorges cut by ancient flood waters in the steep, quartzite walls of the surrounding Macdonnell Ranges or — farther away — to the Olgas and the Territory’s main attraction, Ayers Rock.
A powerful fascination with this “immense pebble rising abruptly from the plain” (as the explorer W. C. Gosse described it in 1873) is one of the few things white Australians, let alone other tourists, share feelingly with the continent’s indigenous peoples. Solid and inspiringly strange, the Rock - the aborigines call it Uluru - embodies the Dreamtime, the ancestral legends of aboriginal prehistory. Despite the deeply felt objections of aboriginal elders, tourists climb to its summit in the quiet, cool hours before dawn and watch the rising sun illuminate the domed heads of the Olgas, Katatjuta, 20 miles to the west —one of the Territory’s most compelling sights.
Roughing it is an essential part of the outback adventure. On a Bill King tour, life is reasonably easy with a cook, as well as an experienced bush driver and guide, on hand at their campsites. On the Red Center itineraries, standard coaches and a choice of motel accommodation are provided for those inclined to travel less rigorously.
For those with an insatiable streak of masochism, going bush and roughing it can be taken a step further. Rod Steinert, a well-known local guide and tour operator, organises bush survival programs of up to three days in the harsh semi-desert south of Alice Springs. The approach is simple enough: for $75 each a day, a small group is led across the badlands by aborigines who will instruct in the crafts of the nomadic hunter-gatherer. Sleeping outdoors with poisonous snakes and rodent marsupials understandably might make one nervous, so creature comforts — camp beds, swags, conventional food and water — are carried if required.
Mr. Steinert also offers less drastic itineraries, including wild-life safaris in which, with any luck, one can try roping a wild camel or dogging fast moving hordes of wallabies, as well as day trips to cattle stations and aboriginal missions.
Rod Steinert is himself a student of aboriginal lore and I first met him at Ewaninga, an aboriginal ceremonial site on the Old South Road to the Alice. A talented raconteur, he was carefully explaining the complex rock carvings at the site to an elderly couple from South Australia. Despite the heat, which quickly sucked the moisture from our skin, and the annoying persistence of the flies, he managed to convey the awe of ‘the duck Dreaming’ and its very real relationship to the blistered surface of a nearby clay pan. “The tribal elders didn’t read these carved lines,” he said as he traced them with his fingers. “They’d look away and then recite the legend from memory; some of these lines were simply reminders.”
Aboriginal culture permeates the Territory and rock paintings. Carvings and other artifacts can be found practically everywhere. Later, while drinking black billy tea together and munching spotted dog, a kind of raisin pudding laden with syrup, Mr. Steinert told us, “Don’t believe it when you hear that the significance of these and other markings are long forgotten. There are elders, very much alive, who understand them. They could explain them if they wanted to - but they don’t want to.” Mr. Steinert is sometimes recommended as a guide to visiting anthropologists by the aborigines’ Central Land Council, which administers the land rights of central Australia’s huge aboriginal reserves.
For the scores of small, four-wheel-drive operators advertising unusual overnight camping tours from the Alice, the routes now extend as far east as the old Arltunga gold mine and ghost town on the edge of the Simpson Desert, as far west as Palm Valley and the Finke River National Park (or, in Mr. Steinert’s case, the Yuendumu aboriginal reserve), and as far south as Ayers Rock and the Olgas. In the north, the 'top end’, the rain forests, fast running rivers, deep gorges, hot springs and even the wildlife, particularly east of Katherine and in the Kakadu NationalPark, are perhaps even more beautiful — if commonly unreachable at certain times of year because of monsoonal floods.
However, there are alternatives to a four wheel-drive for traveling in the outback: camels, for instance.
Noel Fullerton and camels are seemingly inseparable. Among a plethora of colorful characters in the Territory, Noel Fullerton is one of the more sober and enduring. You can even find him on postcards: a squat, barrel-chested fellow with a mane of long white hair and a sunburned, bearded face not unlike an Afghan trader’s, he is commonly pictured atop a dromedary in the shade of a eucalyptus tree. He started the infamous annual Camel Cup Race down the sandy bed of the Todd River and won it five years in a row. He rode a camel up the steps of the Federal Parliament building in Canberra to protest the delay in extending the Ghan, the railway between Alice Springs and Port Augusta, South Australia, to Darwin. And now he operates safaris on camel-back from his ranch south of the Alice.
Throughout the year, with the exception of January, Mr. Fullerton and another guide lead caravans of up to 10 camels on one of three routes, depending on the time of year, usually in a series of daily treks from a base camp in the Rainbow Valley. The most interesting of these is probably through the Finke River National Park to Palm Valley, following as it does the path of the earliest explorer, Ernest Giles. Like others in the outback travel business, Mr. Fullerton is prepared to tailor an itinerary to suit individual urges — one customer, a young American woman, reportedly spent three months just wandering with one of his guides through the Krischauf, James and Macdonnell ranges and the hard plains between.
The outback is not a place in which to take chances. Unless one is experienced, an outback safari of one sort or another led by a competent guide is the best way to get into the rugged scenery, the unusual flora and fauna and just the silent, endless space of it all. Even if one is prepared, there is always an element of risk.
I recently went bush with a couple of friends in a Japanese-built four- wheel-drive truck. Loaded with camping equipment, food and a .44 magnum rifle (which nobody used), we went looking for a track to Mount Conner in the twisted scrub 20 miles south of the newly-laid Lasseter Highway to Ayers Rock. We could see the mountain from the highway, a long flat ridge of crumbling purple rock standing alone in an expanse of yellow spinifex, but the track was harder to find. We followed a few disused drovers’ routes into dead ends before coming across an unlikely looking turnoff covered in fine red bull-dust and sand.
“You’ve got to be bloody careful,” warned the proprietor of the Curtain Springs roadhouse, back at the highway. “It’s rough going, so don’t even try it without four-wheel-drive. And let me know before you set off. If you get into trouble, I’m the one who’ll have to fetch you out.”
He wasn’t kidding. It was a slow haul, scraping past the gnarled branches of trees blackened by bush fire and easing the wheels over the bleached-gray remains of corral fences. Finally, we stalled; the truck sank belly-deep into a sand dune. We deflated the tires and unchoked the wheels and tried to ignore the sine-wave tracings of snakes that were everywhere in the sand.
We wished we’d taken a tour round the Alice instead.

“Good evening,” The owner said as you three went in as the small bell rang over the door. “How may I help you three?” He said as you all walked over to the counter. “Hi sir, do you think we can get three lamingtons?” You asked, excitement taking over your tone. “Ah, lucky for you dear. We only have a few left in stock. Came in at the right time!” He said.
You giggled as you watched him turn around to get the pastries. “What’s so good about those cakes?” Jongho asked. You stopped and turned around to face him with a nonchalant smile as you spoke. “A lamington is a type of sponge cake with a chocolate sauce layer around it before it’s rolled in desiccated coconut. The chocolate layer slowly absorbs into the cake itself before leaving to set. And BAM! Delicious cake!” You said with a cold tone yet, with a smile on your face.
“I-Uhm...okay?” Jongho slowly said, taken aback from your facial expression and tone. “The young lady is correct, a quite popular and famous pastry,” You heard the male come back as he handed all three of you your own lamingtons. “Just for the dearie, you don’t have to pay for this. It’s on the house,” You turned to him with wide eyes.
“Really!?” You asked in disbelief only to watch as he nodded his head. Your smile widens. “Thank you so much! Have an amazing day sir, I’ll make sure to repay you Mr— didn’t catch your name.” You trailed off. “Mr Ri,” He smiled. You nodded. “I’ll make sure I’ll repay you, Mr Ri!” You happily said as you turned around and left out of the shop, humming as you took a bite from the lamington.
“Have a good one, hyung.” Yunho said as he bowed along with Jongho. “You both do the same, see you some other time hopefully,” He said as he watched them leave with a smile plastered on his face, though slowly fading away. “Is that her?” A male voice said. “That is,” Mr Ri responded as he faced the other person who was hiding.
“I’ll take care of her...thank you for your work.” The male with red eyes said before leaving also…to continue to observe you.

“Wait up! You don’t even know where the seven seas you goin’!” Yunho called out as he watched you run around, having no sense of where you’re going. “I’m looking around!” You called back out to them as you looked around, stumbling into the centre of town. A statue of a female with a cape around her with the hood covering half her face, only to leave her mouth exposed. Wearing a beautiful dress underneath.
You looked closely at it before a smile formed on your face. “Yah! You wanker! The hell are you so fast for?” Jongho said as he finally caught up, standing to your right as you noticed Yunho was on your other side looking at you.
You shrugged your shoulders. “Just wanted to look around since we’ll be staying for the time being before sailing off to who knows where.” You told them as you looked back at the statue. “Say...oppa, what is this?” You asked, not budging to look over at them. “This?” Yunho questioned.
You hummed as a response so he can explain to you. “Well...this is a statue of the Goddess of Protection, the Goddess Reuna.” He told you. You felt light headed at the name, staring at him, pretending that you’re completely fine. “Oh…” You trailed off as you looked at it.
You watched as she died ‘Ji Ah’. You watched him kill her, you shouldn’t trust him.
You heard the voice say in your head as you felt dizzy and stumbled backwards a little before gaining your balance again, though Yunho had his hand placed on the lower part of your back as he was quick to react. “You okay, Ji Ah?” He asked you, clearly worried by how he spoke and looked at you. “Y-Yeah...just thought I heard something,” You said to him, faking a reassuring smile.
He narrowed his eyes as he looked at you before letting out a sigh. “Alrighty, then should we head back to the ship. The others should be up now, eh?” Yunho asked, looking over at Jongho. The younger male crossed his arms with his brows furrowed. “What..?” Yunho nervously asked, not enjoying how the others looked at him.
You turn around to also look at Jongho. “I ain’t no expert when it comes to love or anything, but I know there is something going on ‘ere…” Jongho said as he looked between you both, suspiciously. You and Yunho widened your eyes as you quickly distanced yourself from one another. “I’m guessing that’s a yes to going back to the ship...hahahah,” You said as you quickly turned to go to the ship and began walking. “The ship is that way, noona,” Jongho said with a chuckle. You quickly turned the way Jongho was pointing towards. “Of course!” You nervously said before heading to the direction of the ship, this time.
Tumblr media
“Ah, there you three are. Kinda worried when you went into town and probably got napped or something worse,” You heard Hongjoong say. “Were you looking for us, hyung?” Yunho asked the captain only for the shorter male with the mullet to say, “Ji Ah, I left something for you in your cabin, Jongho and Yunho, come with me.” He said as you all nodded your heads. “See ya later, Ji Ah,” Yunho said as he patted your shoulder before he left with the other two.
You looked at him walking away, confused about what you were feeling. “What the hell…?” You mumbled to yourself before walking to your cabin through the sickbay. As you walked in you saw a bag placed on your hammock. Raising a brow from confusion, you walked towards it as you grabbed it and sat onto your hammock, swinging back and forth a little.
Opening the bag to look in, you raised both of your eyebrows in shock and confusion. Reaching into the bag, you pulled out the pair of new clothing. Still confused, you stood up and decided to change into the clothes Hongjoong got for you.
After putting on the outfit, you looked at yourself as you smiled at the outfit, a little upset that he bought something very expensive for you, but still happy that he cares about you. A white bellamy shirt, black tights, a corset, a burgundy coat going a little past your waist with a black lapel as you put back on your cuffed boats.
“Hm, he has some sense for a lady’s taste in fashion,” You said to yourself before placing your old clothes in the bag and placing it in the corner of your room. As you were about to leave you stopped abruptly.
Kill him. Kill him now and hide the body. Do it now before it’s too late. He won’t stop until you’re dead. The mission he set for himself!
You stumbled backwards as you continued to hear the voice in your head. It sounded like you but...it didn’t. Everytime it spoke, there was a deeper echo that followed closely behind. It repeated it over and over again, making you dizzy until you felt something drip down from your nose.
Moving your hand to check what it is, you were having another nose bleed. You sighed with frustration as you tried to brush off the thoughts.
Kill him! Kill him for revenge! Kill him tonight and take revenge for what he’s done!
The voice spoke. You stayed there as you slowly sat down on the floor with your eyes closed. You furrowed your brows. “I need to kill him...I need to take revenge.” You said...no, it wasn’t you. It was as if you were possessed by something or...someone.
Tumblr media
It was close to midnight. You were in your quarters looking out the window towards the town. The other lead members of the crew were having a meeting in Hongjoong’s cabin. They told you it was something that you shouldn’t worry about, but as a part of the crew, you thought you should also be there. Though, you kept yourself occupied for the time being.
You sewed new clothing and with the extra material you hand, you made more chainmail to have underneath. You decided to make your own, but you were running low on the type of metal you needed, and you had to go back to town.
You took a break and just sat there staring out into the town. “Master? Are you going to do it?” You heard someone speak to you. You turned around to look at it...him. “I’m not sure. I feel as I should, but...I need to know why,” You said to him as his figure showed on the blade of your sword. You stood up and went over to him, kneeling down. “Do you have an idea on who he is exactly?” You questioned.
“His name is Hwang Kangdae, right?” He asked, making you nod. He furrowed his brows and narrowed his eyes as he began to think, placing his fingers on his chin as he nibbled on his lip. “That name..I..do remember,” He spoke, making your eyes widen. “What! Then who is he!? Does he have anything to do with me losing my memories?!” You asked question after question.
“Ji Ah...I wish I could tell, I want to tell you! But...I can not. They have told me not to and for you to figure out on your own,” He said with a sadden look. “What…? Who? These are my memories I’m talking about for heaven's sake!” You yelled at him before standing up abruptly and began to pace around your cabin. “Fucking hell. If you’re not going to tell me, mind as well go to Kangdae and ask him myself before I end him,” You said with anger as you grabbed your sword and holster before leaving your headquarters.
Walking out onto the main deck, you were making your way to the gangplank until you saw someone in the distance before you made out their outline. “Changbin, where are you going this late?” You asked as you saw him walking down the gangplank. “Ah, Ji Ah,” He turned around to look at you with a small smile. “I’m heading into town to get some things, don’t tell the captain,” Changbin placed his finger in front of his mouth before ruffling your hair. “Yah! You don’t have to do that,” You huffed, making him chuckle. “Sorry, sorry,” He apologised before sighing as he placed his hands in his pockets.
He then furrowed his brows as he examined you. “Where are you going…especially with your sword?” He asked. Your eyes slightly widened as you tried to hide your weapon away, completely dismissing the fact that he already knows you have it. “Ji Ah…what are you planning to do?” Changbin asked, now crossing his arms after pulling his hands out of his pockets.
You just sighed in defeat as you looked down at the deck. “Kangdae…I- these voices im hearing- I don’t know what to do anymore,” You said with frustration. Changbin just stared at you, looking into your eyes as he searched for answers. “Are you planning on…killing him?” He asked, a sudden change in his tone as he sounded sad.
You kept silent for a bit, knowing the one person that is really close with him will be devastated. “I’m sorry…I just…you won’t understand,” You muttered, but still loud enough for him to hear. “It’s okay.” He suddenly spoke, forcing a smile.
“What…?” You asked in disbelief. “Early I had a talk with Hongjoong, and we discussed the situation between you and Kangdae. If things get worse, we’ll either leave, or kill him. It was a hard decision, especially for me as he practically raised me, but, you guys are my new family…I must protect you all. Especially you, you sacrificed yourself for me,” He softly smiled. You smiled back at him before you pulled him into a hug.
He hugged you back tightly before he broke away from you. “I’ll go ahead into town and stay close by, if anything happens, I’ll rush in and aid you, okay?” He said as he looked into your eyes. You nodded your head. He smiled once more as he ruffled your hair again. You sighed as you just let him do it. He chuckled before fixing it and back up.
“Well, I’m going to go now, see ya soon,” He winked before turning around on his heels before making his way down the gangplank and headed back into town. You smiled softly as you watched him get further and further away, but it soon dropped at you felt a sudden heavy pressure in your head.
Kill him.
The words encouraged you once more. You let out a slow jagged sigh as the adrenaline ran through your veins, a tingling sensation running through your fingers as you grabbed your sword's pommel. “Are you okay?” Your sword asked you, telepathically. You nodded your head as you closed your eyes briefly, calming yourself so you wouldn’t look suspicious in town as you head to his shop.
“Let’s go,” You responded to him before looking around to make sure no one else was out on the main deck. You looked over at Hongjoong’s cabin as you saw the light still on. Wonder how long that meeting is. You shrugged your shoulders before looking around again to double check you didn’t miss anyone.
Once everything was safe, you quietly dashed to the gangplank and ran down to the dock. You stopped to catch your breath for the moment before relaxing yourself before walking down the harbour into Metali.
You walked through the joyful lit village as you looked around. Families walking together, children laughing and playing, people selling items in their shops, it reminds you of when you were little and still lived in Sky--. “Ack!” You stopped as you felt dizzy all of a sudden. You leaned over and grabbed your head and closed your eyes tightly, trying to get your bearings right. You let out slow breaths before finally getting better.
You slowly stood back up as you opened your eyes, looking around as your sight began to clear back up. ¨What the hell was that..?¨ You mumbled to yourself. You rubbed your head to get rid of the throbbing pain near your temples. “Gotta keep going,” You mumbled to yourself as you continued walking carefully to the shop. Though, the red eyes watched you from the shadows again as you went to the shop. He covered himself with a cloak as he put the hood over his head as he followed you, leaving a good enough space from you so you wouldn’t notice his presence.
Tumblr media
After several minutes, you finally reached your destination in front of Mr. Hwang’s shop. You looked at the window and saw the lights are still on. You squinted your eyes before you make your way inside. You looked around the place and saw no customers inside. Perfect. You thought as you made your way to the backroom to search for the owner, though, you stopped as suddenly the lights turned off.
You stopped in your tracks and looked around the place. “I knew you would come back,” You heard a voice in front of you. You froze in place as the voice sounded familiar and you knew exactly who it was. The lights turned back on as you saw the man in front of you and you furrowed your brows. “Mr Hwang,” You muttered with disgust. “Here in the flesh, dearie.” He bowed, making you scoff.
“I didn’t come here to listen to your stupid lines, sir.” You spoke sternly, wanting to get the job done in a hurry and leave once you’re done. “Let me guess then. To kill me?” Your eyes slightly widened at his words. How does he know? You asked yourself. “Don’t seem so surprised Ji Ah, I remember you,” He said as that same smile appeared on his face as he began to take small steps closer to you.
You reflectively step backwards and grab your sword. “Stay back or I will kill you,” You threatened him, making him stop and tilt his head. “Kill...me?” He asked as if you were telling some joke before he started laughing like the psycho he is. “How can you possibly kill me without your crewmates?” He asked in between laughing. You scoffed as you rolled your eyes as you gripped your hilt and pulled out your sword.
“Don’t underestimate me, I’m no little girl.” You nonchalantly said before stepping towards him. “I will not hesitate to make you suffer,” You said as you were centimetres away from him before stopping. “Shall I?” You raised an eyebrow. He chuckled before crossing his arms. “Oh sweetheart,” He tilted his head to the side as he glared at you; pitifully. “I do feel bad for this, but,” He shrugged. “For...what?”
As you asked that, you felt someone wrap their arms around you tightly, making your grip loosen on your sword as it fell to the ground. “What the...!” You began to squirm around to get out of the person's grip. “Hm, I feel bad to see you like this.” Mr Hwang spoke as he made his way towards you. You looked at Kangdae wanting to hear what else the man had to say.
“Ji Ah--the name you don’t deserve, have you ever wondered the truth about why you remember me, is that the real reason why you came here?” He asked as he lowered himself to make direct eye contact with you. “Well Hœn**, it’s because years ago, I killed your parents.” He bluntly said, making you freeze in your spot again. “Wh-What did you just say?” You asked as you looked at him. “My mum is still alive and my dad died because of health problems!” You yelled at him, making him laugh before he grabbed your jaw tightly to hold you still as he glared into your eyes.
“Look at you, trying to live amongst humans, pathetic,” He growled as he shoved your face to the side before standing up. “I hate how you got away, the most powerful of them all! You have no idea how I felt. How I lost my goddamn job because I couldn’t kill you!” He yelled as he swiftly turned around on his heels as he ran his fingers through his hair. “I’ll make sure I kill you now though,” He spoke coldly as he looked over his shoulder, his once emotionless eyes now showing anger, yet they still pulled you in, trying to lure you in like a siren singing for the pirates who sadly are meeting their demise. Waves and screams rang in your ear, fear began to rise in you, the devilishly smirk on his face, as he said- “I’ll make sure you die with or without me, you monster,” And with that, you felt something sharp cut through your side making you gasp before a blood curdling scream erupted from your lips.
The man that was holding you finally released you, making you fall to the ground. You immediately brought your hands to your wound as you put pressure on it to slow the bleeding as you gasped for air frantically, fear rose in you. You rolled over to your back as you tried to sit up. “I hope you die, immortal,” The man behind you spoke, you looked up at him to glare at the male who stabbed you…but your eyes widened. Everything around you felt as if it had stopped.
“N-No...i-it can’t be,” You stuttered before coughing out blood as your vision began to blur from the loss of blood and tears welling up. No… “You bastard!” You screamed. “YOU FUCKING BASTARD!” You screamed at him as tears trickled down your face. “How could you, Changbin…” You lastly said as your vision completely went black as you passed out from the quickly losing of blood.

Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog - Over The Hill Hero (Screenshots 1 0f 4) This one is another episode I recall having on a vhs tape during my teenage years, so it's fresher in my memory than other episodes. This episode starts out with a fancy title card that is actually incorporated into the opening scene, which is pretty cool! I wish they'd do that more in the show. We see Scratch and Grounder dropping sneeze bombs on a town of humans and small round-sort of human children. Little bean kids, maybe? Whatever they are, they and the adults are fleeing in terror, as the town has a dark cloud developing over it from all the gas. Sonic and Tails take note of this and it is revealed that this is "Hill Top" town, which is another reference to Sonic 2, the last one having been Casino Night Zone. Thankfully, this version of Hill Top seems to be missing the deadly lava, but it does still have cliffs!
Sonic and Tails head down to the town to see what's going on, and Sonic ends up catching one of the sneeze bombs. Before he can figure out what to do with it, A caped figure appears on a hill above, introducing himself as Captain Rescue! The figure then slips and tumbles down the hill, revealing himself to be a large, overweight older raccoon fellow in a superhero costume. He brushes himself off from the fall and use his utility belt to put a blast shield right on top of Sonic and the sneeze bomb, setting the bomb off and sending poor Sonic into a sneezing frenzy. Definitely not a good first impression, despite the Captain's good intentions! Sonic is quick to dismiss Captain Rescue and quickly runs off to take down Scratch and Grounders ships. Afterwards, Captain Rescue (I'll start calling him CR for short) tells Sonic and Tails more about his past as a younger superhero, but Sonic continues to be even ruder and insult Captain Rescue on his age and his clumsiness. Eventually CR storms off, and Tails confronts about how he feels that Sonic may have hurt his feelings, but Sonic doubles down on his statements.
While the three heroes were meeting one another, Scratch and Grounder have reported back to Dr. Robotnik with their latest info. Robotnik shows them a new force-field device he has created, which he explains his intended purpose for in a rather odd way - he makes it sound like he's going to cover Mobius with it, and I fail to see how this would help him much in conquering the world outside of cutting off space travel and possibly destroying the world if this interferes with planetary forces! However, we see later on that this isn't what he does with it, so I can only assume he realized his own initial plan was weird and changed his mind on how to use it.
Robotnik heads toward Hill Top Zone through a secret tunnel and finds CR moping on top of a boulder, still feeling hurt from Sonic's words and embarrassed of his own clumsiness. The Doc takes advantage of this by pretending to be a superhero as well, and telling CR that he can himself to Sonic if they stage a scene where CR saves the day. CR agrees to do so, and they eventually manage to catch Sonic’s attention with some little remote-controlled airplanes in the sky. As Sonic follows them, he sees CR try to catch them with gadget, but CR fails and Sonic *just so happens* to go and stand exactly where Robotnik needed him to the set off his force-field trap! Considering that they were in a big grassy field, Robotnik got very lucky with this.
CR, realizing he'd been tricked, tries to help Sonic, only to be attacked by his own malfunctioning gadgets. The baddies take away Sonic, who is now trapped in this egg-shaped force-field that seems to be completely portable  - that is some interesting technology! Sadly, CR becomes so depressed by this most recent failure that he decides to officially retire from superhero-ing, and leaves for his trailer even with Tails pleading for him to help.
Tails eventually catches up with CR by finding out where he lives after asking around. He arrives  at the Captain's trailer, in hopes of helping him feel confident enough to help stop Robotnik and save Sonic. Thankfully, with Tails being the little sweetheart that he is, he succeeds :) Tails and CR head back to Hill Top Zone is a rocket ship!
When they arrive, they use the ship to smash Scratch and Grounder's vehicles, and then recover Sonic, whom is still trapped in the little force-field egg. They load Sonic into the ship with the intent of sending him high into the atmosphere, explaining to Tails that the thinner atmosphere will cause the force-field to malfunction and fail, freeing him. Unfortunately, the old ship falls apart too - but Sonic meets a friendly bird while falling and it brings him back to safely. Upon Sonic’s return, our heroes defeat Robotnik and his badniks, and then Sonic, realizing he'd been such a jerk to CR, apologizes for how he acted and the two become friends as the episode ends on a nice note. :)
The Sonic Says segment features Tails hanging out with CR, and I like the implication that Tails might have bonded with CR as being a sort of positive older role model - brave and heroic like Sonic, but also more mature and wise than his teenage big brother.  They've been strolling through the woods when Tails expresses concern that he thinks they might be lost, and an old bear fellow who happens nearby teaches Tails that moss grows on the north side of a tree, helping Tails figure out which path they need to get home. Tails compliments the bear fellow on his knowledge, and Captain Rescue points out that older folks often know the right decision to take in life.
This was a very cute episode with both a very lovable new character and a pretty good message. I love endearingly awkward/silly superheroes like Boogerman, The Tick, etc and Captain Rescue has a similar sort of charm with him being as good-hearted as he is clumsy (plus he's a raccoon, and raccoons are adorable!) The theme of ageism is handled pretty well, too - we see how prejudice can be formed in any direction between generations , and the episode concludes with Sonic and CR coming to be understanding and more empathetic towards one another. The Sonic Says segment also touches on an adjacent theme,  teaching that older people tend to be quite wise and able to give quality life advice - and  it is good that they phrased it that way, because while I can generally agree - it's also not good to *blindly* trust in older people, as some are sadly just  bitter, petulant and entitled bigots.

Story of How I Met the Emperor of Russia (Nobbily Serving England)
So, I Thomas Randoph served England as an ambassador for my great country of England, directly under Queen Elizabeth. #PortraitsOrItDidntHappen
Tumblr media
This isn’t the most exciting adventure, but I think this deserves to be here. I left England for a voyage to Russia in 1568 and remember enough of the journey. We had forty people, half of them gentlemen strangely who wanted to see the world I guess. We sailed to the North Cape and got lucky, we somehow avoided any storm or sea disturbances. It made to a boring journey but we made our way eventually to Cape Gallant. We sailed into the bays and eventually set anchor.
Tumblr media
The voyage was largely boring but we did manage to see sperm wales and to swim when we landed. We were able to fish and build up a good store of food. Eventually being at St. Nicholas we went to the nearby Abbey. Strangely the building was made exclusively of wood. Stranger still were the superstitious Monks, dressed ominously in black hoods, the whole space was small. I was horrified to see that monks are given to drunkenness WAY too often, they never seem to preach but they love their drinks. Still they were nice, the man in charge gave us some strange bread, a sheep, preserved fish, which was quite nice of him. The town itself was small but the English Company had built four houses so we could stay there.
This whole part of the country was boring. Mostly it was pasture, farmland, and forests with the occasional river and already cold temperatures. It was clear just stepping outside that we were far North. After three weeks of travel inland we found a man who could bring word to the Emperor, ahead of our arrival. Everyday we had an allowance of meat and drink which sustained us.
Tumblr media
The next major town we reached was Colmogro which also was all built of wood and sparsely populated. The people here were rude and drank far too much. I am sure they engaged with many other abominable vices. Here again the English company had some space, this land and nice houses given to us in the past by the emperor.
It isn’t even worth describing the other towns until we reached Vologda, they were all the same. Weird wood buildings. Rude people. Drunkenness. We stayed in company properties. Even though the whole thing took weeks it was so monotonous it largely blends together in retrospect. Overall not great for a trip but we had not come for leisure, we came to service the queen (and maybe make some money with trading priviledges).
We passed through more towns. Eventually we sailed on a river which spead up the journey. The English company had a bark which was a weird kind of boat but it worked quite well and it brought us to Moscow at long last.
Tumblr media
When we made it to Moscow no one received us which was odd. Still, we eventually found someone relevant and were brought to a house maintained by the Emperor for thr Ambassadors and company. It was a nice and large house. Eventually it became clear just how well we were going to be taken care of and that the Emperor was paying for it all. We had servants and anything we needed but still nobody asked for an audience with us.
Finally, after more than four months of just waiting in this house, enjoying our time on the Emperor’s dime even though we agreed it was odd no one had asked us to do any official business, we were told to be ready to meet the Emperor on the 20th of February. When the day came two officials came, I as the Ambassador had a borrowed horse but for everyone else we had to walk the whole way which they griped about the whole way there. Needless to say, four months of doing nothing will lead even the proper laborers of a crew to be weak when the time for action returns.
I made it to an office and sat with a chancellor for several hours until the Emperor sent for me. I entered on a staircase into a massive room. There had to be 300 nobles in there easily all well dressed. In acknowledgement to meeting the emperor I took off my hat but I received only odd looks so I ackwardly put it back on.
The emperor was clearly ready for guests and I had an interpreter who easily communicated my message to the Emperor. The Emperor asked after our Queen Elizabeth, asking about her health and state, before welcoming me and starting to ask me still more questions. Once I was finished they gave me an elaborate silver cup and we left, coming home to a virtual feast.
Eventually, it was time for me to speak with the Emperor this time more privately and a night a Duke was sent to fetch me. It was bitterly cold to be forced into the Russian winter but I wasn’t going to quit over that so I soldiered on.
When I arrived things went smoothly. After three hours of discussion into the early hours of the morning we talked. I returned home and waited for six weeks until the Emperor wrote saying that he was meeting all our demands for priviledges and specifically responded to my particular requests. He also commended me on how well I represented our crown and country while visiting. The mission was fully accomplished and to boot we were sent back with an ambassador from Russia, Andrew Savin, who could help further develop our trade and diplomatic relationships.
The whole journey back was meandering and long. Much of the novelty of travel had long since worn off but eventually we made it back to sea, disembarking in July and at long last reaching London in September.

TLDR: We went to Russia and it took FOREVER but it wasn’t the worst experience even if the people are mostly drunkards. We made it to the Emperor who was more than well equipped to host, and I as ambassador secured more trade privileges for England.
