((Edit: When I decided to run a Hunger Games simulation, I had it all planned out to start with an introduction to the tributes before I let them start killing each other, and then like an idiot I left this post sitting in my drafts and didn’t post it without realizing it. So this is a day late but whatever... This should have been the first post in all of this.))
Hello everyone it’s time for the First Annual Furry Hunger Games! But before we get started, let’s have a look at our tributes and learn who each of them are.
Representing District 1, we have what I have dubbed Team Arlet, consisting of Nolly, a leopard shark, and Helen, a t-rex. These two aren’t just the sonas of two people who are actually best friends in real life... but fictional versions of them both appear in the works of author Helen Arlet. So they should be well suited to working together. That’s going to be helpful in this kind of game. Another thing that’s going to be helpful in this kind of game is the fact that they are both vore characters, so they are no strangers to the kind of things they are going to have to do in this game. I’m expecting to see good things from these two.
Representing District 2, we have a little team up I’ve dubbed, The Vore Queens. Clawdette Smalls and Shasta, created by Helen Arlet and Mamabliss respectively. Unlike the girls from District 1, these two already have far more impressive body counts to their names and are both totally unapologetic about it. They’re vicious, cold and callous. This is the kind of game that was made for them. Although I have to wonder if having Clawdette competing against the fictional representation of her creator is going to cause any problems. Hopefully she won’t get thrown off her game by some sense of loyalty to Helen.
Representing District 3 is Team Beastars, consisting of Legoshi and Haru. Individually I wouldn’t expect much out of either of these tributes in this sort of game, but putting the two together could be just the thing District 3 needs to pull off a win. Legoshi may be timid most of the time, but when forced to protect Haru he has been known to kill an entire yakuza gang before. So it will be interesting to see where this goes.
Representing District 4 is Team BNA, consisting of Shirou and Michiro. Being the new furry anime on the block looking to step out of Beastars shadow and establish itself as its own thing, I’m expecting to see a hard fight out of these two. Shirou is actually rumored to be immortal and Michiro is a shape shifting tanuki who can use her abilities to give herself the edge in almost any situation, so have a feeling these two could be the team do it this game.
Representing District 5 is Team Zootopia. Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps are the fan favorites for many this game and are going to have a lot of support. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot of sponsors sending them aid. And as a trained police officer, Judy should be pretty well suited to handle the kind of things that are going to happen in this game.
Representing District 6 we have an oldie but a goodie, Team Star Fox. While Fox McCloud and Krystal are no strangers to seeing combat, they are going to be on the ground engaging in hand to hand combat, which many would argue is their weakest point. There’s also been some contravention in Krystal being chosen as tribute. While a lot of people agree they like to look at her, no one seems to be interested in her for much else. I think the fans would have preferred to see Falco Lombardi filling her spot, so it will be interesting to see how this goes.
Representing District 7 is an interesting mash up I’m going to have to call Team Mon. I’m not so sure this was such a good pairing, considering Renamon is a Digimon and Midnight Lycanroc is a Pokemon. The two franchises are bitter rivals so I don’t know what District 7 was thinking. Personally I’d be worried these two might just start fighting each other.
Representing District 8 we have Team Tezuka. Younger fans may not be familiar with these two but Bagi, from Bagi: Monster of Mighty Nature, and Captain Bokko, from The Amazing 3, are both creations of Osamu Tezuka, the godfather of anime, and arguably, the godfather of modern furry culture. So these two are going to have a lot riding on their shoulders to prove themselves the top furries in this game.
Representing District 9, I’m just going to have to dub this one Team Scaly. Kyra and Gator Girl are both characters appearing in adult, furry comics. Kyra, who many of the fans have dubbed Snake Mom, has made claim to killing at least one person with her venom before, although the circumstances behind that remain unknown. Meanwhile, Gator Girl, being another one of Mamabliss’ creations, is no stranger to vore, as one of our other tributes can attest to. I know for a fact that Nolly from District 1 has been inside Gator Girl’s stomach before, so I’m interested to see if she’s going to use this opportunity to get some revenge.
Representing District 10 we have a rather peculiar pairing that I guess I’ll dub Team Gamer Girl...? I mean, Toriel and Viper are both girls from video games, Undertale and XCOM respectively... I have no idea how well these two are going to work together, or how well Toriel in particular is going to do in this game, given her pacifist beliefs. I’m be amazed to see a single kill from her.
Representing District 11 is Team Cheetah. Brittany Diggers and Chetara may be from different franchises, Gold Digger and Thundercats... But they do have a couple of things in common. Neither one of them is a stranger to a fight and they are both fast. And both of those things could give them an advantage in this game.
And finally, Representing District 12... We have the e621 mascot and a bag of Doritos? What am I even supposed to call this team? Team Shit Lords? I feel like District 12 may have just given up before the game even started...
Well there you have it. These are your tributes for the First Annual Furry Hunger Games. Place your bets now and my the odds be... No... You know what? I’m not saying it. No, I don’t care. It’s practically a meme at this point. No, I don’t care what the sponsors want, you may as well put me in District 12 if you think I’m going to say it!
