A stroll around the beautiful commune of Senlis, France, about 40 kilometers north of Paris. Once the site of a Roman settlement called Augustomagus and later Civitas Silvanectium, it has the remains of a defensive wall built in the 3rd century and a 10th century castle occupied by the monarchs of the Capetian dynasty. The Gothic Senlis Cathedral dates to the 12th century.
