Dani with an I adopts Tim Drake
Dani travels the world.
She goes to all sorts of places, meets all sorts of different people, and has all sorts of different experiences. She learns how to sail aboard a ghost ship, then gets herself a little boat that she can shrink down and put in a bottle when she's not using it. She learns how to handle a carriage drawn by animals from a friendly dullahan (well, friendly to a young ghost, anyway). Then she gets herself a carriage that can enter and exit the ghost zone at crossroads after befriending some kind of weird ghost critter that doesn't seem to mind pulling a carriage sometimes, as long as it gets treats and praise.
The ghost critter can't quite seem to decide what type of creature it wants to be, but always looks like a silhouette with blank white eyes. The forms it shifts between conveniently include a horse (which can pull the carriage) and a rabbit (which is easy enough to carry around when it doesn't feel like walking or flying itself). Dani decides to call it Harvey.
One day, while wandering a strange city called Gotham, Dani stumbles across a tiny kid with a camera. The kid, Tim, turns out to be exactly her preferred brand of crazy. This is how Dani acquires a little brother.
Granted, Dani keeps traveling, and Tim still has to go to school, but Dani makes a point of dropping by to check in and hang out regularly. Whenever Tim's school is on break he goes on trips with her. Is that legal? Who cares!m Not either of these Gremlins.
At some point, Dani introduces Tim to her cousins and their friends. They accept him without hesitation. Welcome to the fraid, Tim!
Young Justice learn about her way before the Bats do because she'll drop in to hang out with them or pitch in on missions. She doesn't drop in on the Bats the same way because they have a different vibe and it would feel like bothering Tim at work.

Had a thought that i wanted to share
Imagine the dragons have been gone for a few days and when they come back they have a little girl with white hair and purple eyes with them.
Later is found out that she is viserys bastard and dany just adopts her on the spot... She is what keeps her sane
(and she would ride rhaegal)
And since the daemons bastard hates him, danys baby girl loves her completly... But she is very scary towards jon bcs thats her mama and he better be carefull before catching these hands.
Dany laughts at it tho
Idk i just love her
*Gordon Ramsay voice* finally some good fookin food
No, but on a serious note, I think Dany would absolutely adore her niece! When Rhaegal and Viserion bring the small girl to her, Daenerys knows that it's meant to be. When she learns that this is Viserys' daughter, though? I feel like she'd cry a little bit once she found out. Despite how utterly horrible her older brother had become before he died, she loved him dearly. Daenerys feels as if she's regained a piece of herself that she lost.
I do think that Dany would be a little delusional with her little niece, especially since Viserys is dead. She genuinely begins to believe that (Name) is her biological daughter and would punish whoever dared to say otherwise. You can't even convince her that she isn't Dany's daughter, and the little girl is raised to believe that Daenerys birthed her and fed her at her breast.
Once Daenerys figures out that her baby and Rhaegal have bonded? She'd be so happy! I think Dany would be highly paranoid of something horrible happening to her daughter, so once (Name) has a dragon to protect her, Daenerys' worries die down a bit. Rhaegal is known to be very vicious towards others, so Dany knows her baby is being well protected when she's not around.
As for Jon, I can definitely see (Name) holding him at sword-point and threatening him to make sure he'd never betray her mama.
Rhaegal and (Name) are such an iconic duo, too 🫶🫶🫶

i fucking love rhaegal

Dp x dc idea 3
In this phantom planet happened but they did not thank him they turned on him Dc and dp are in different dimension in this.
His parents managed to convince world leaders that phantom killed there boy and was just using Danny body. The world only agreed because they were terrified of his powers.
Jazz tried to convince them, they were wrong and he is Danny. Sam and tucker are trying to protect Danny and elli. I’d imagine all of Casper high backing Danny the a list did protect him when the whole gauntlet of reality happened.
When all is said and done the world took no prisoners. Danny, Ellie and vlad (he’s still hiding in space) are the worlds most wanted. Dani and Ellie were severely injured and hardly able to get away.
They wake up with frostbite and clockwork over them. The world is no longer safe but they can’t remain in the infinite realms they are half human. The obvious solution send them to a different dimension.
They were sent to dc and end up in Gotham. All they had was a thermos, Ellie took a lipstick laser gun, and some medical supplies from frostbite. Danny is pissed off and hurt he doesn’t want to hurt anyone but he only wants to protect his sister.
Danny was willing to steal enough money to get a shabby hotel room for a month or so to figure things out. He got to fake identity’s and a job at bat burger he may not like anyone but he doesn’t want to have to steal more then he has to.
Elli the little menace that she is still wants to help people. It’s her personal mission to annoy red hood until he puts up with her what’s he gonna do shoot a kid. She wants to avoid Batman both Danny and Ellie think he is a demon with bat powers. Danny cant stop Ellie so he just mother hens her. He would be ready for when they turned on them this time.
Red hood is just freaking out there is a child meta no older then 10 in Gotham just following him and beating up people. He’s not Bruce he doesn’t want to deal with this. Following this child calling herself spirit was harder to then he’d admit. She went from white hair to prime adoption bait and great she has an older brother no older then 15. How was he gonna keep the two pieces of adoption bait away from bruce and why did he feel calmer around them.
Besides worrying about Ellie Danny was doing just fine ignoring his problems. Working at bat burger was fine definitely not reminding him about the nasty burger explosion that lead to him abandoning humanity. There was a regular who would just stare at him like he was glowing.
Duke was freaking out.
By the time Jason got forced into a mandatory dinner the two adoption bait were there. He did get a warning from cass not to ask Danny about his past he was greatly hurt by whatever it is. Ellie immediately knew he was red hood the minute he walked in. He was definitely getting a lecture about not reporting meta children.
As time goes on Ellie gets more open and talks about her dimension, how it turned on them and talk about her hero phantom. She was just his clone how he saved her and she met Danny because of him . How he saved everyone in a town that hated him. How he saved the world and they turned on them. They were horrified but Bruce got two new kids and finally had one who wasn’t a vigilante who liked galas.
During a bad fight against a massive invasion were everyone was down. Danny was just watching from the bat cave as Ellie and his new family went down. Alfred just looks at him and hands him a mask asking if he was going to go help.
Danny does and takes names. He downs the threat in less then two minutes just grabs Ellie and Damian they were the most injured looked at Batman and said he was taking them. Then he starts to mother hen them at the batcave.
The league and Batman were now freaking out.

twin au but we have them meet Dani or Ellie first and it’s just the Batfam being confused af because they never knew Damian had a younger sibling
meanwhile damian is thinking maybe his memories have been tampered with because he clearly remembers an older brother named Danyal and not a younger sister named Daniella
then Talia here in the background is slowly gaslighting herself that maybe she had three children instead of two because she knows where Danyal is
then we have Dani/Ellie just sending pics and text to Danny over the look alike (because she knows the rest of her brothers died and vlad isn’t one to tempt fate again without her dna of sorts) having the time of her life while Danny is just thinking wth is going on when he left his younger clone unsupervised
Jazz is already accepting her new siblings at this point because after how Danny adopted Dani, she knows that who ever Dani sees (adopts) as family will be Danny’s family, hence, her’s as well

Halloween prompts no. 2
After things go horribly wrong and the GIW established militant law in Amity they manage to track Danny and Daniel down. Weakened and cornered, they're forced to fight. They win in the end of course, but while Danny was trying to help Dani get through the ghost proof fence a shot rang out and Dani watched her big brother fall to the ground.
In denial, she dragged him through the hole they created and flew them to safety, muttering words of encouragement the whole time. She didn't know how long she flew or where she was, but she found herself confronted by a man in a red helmet and leather jacket, talking to her in that voice you use for scared children, asking if she was okay.
"Please help him!" She begged, tears in her eyes, "He's hurt, please save him!"
Red Hood glanced at the older boy she had been carrying around. The one who created the blood trail he had followed from the freaking hole in his head. He examined the gunshot wound and the boys half lidden glassy eyes. Kid was gone. Probably for a while now. He turned back to the girl, looking at her desperate face and not really knowing what to say.
Fuck. Looks like he has a new sister.
"I think I know someone who can help." Bruce had an adoption problem, and this girl needed a little more help than he could provide.

Terrible Fic Idea #66: Targaryen Restoration, but make it queer
The other day I had the crazy thought: what if Robert Baratheon tried to pass a male Jon Snow off as his second wife? So naturally today I had the complimentary thought: what if it was Jon's choice to present as female?
Or: What if Jon Snow was transgender?
Aka: The Visneya the Victorious Fic
Just imagine it:
Everything follows canon - with one exception. It's not just that Jon Snow feels out of place in Winterfell, he feels out of place in his own skin. It gets worse the older he gets, until some point shortly before Robert Baratheon is set to come North Jon has the realization: she is a woman in a man's body, and the pretty features her half-siblings tease her about are the only parts of herself that she's comfortable with.
Jon (for she still thinks of herself by this name at this point), quickly realizes there's no place for her in the North. Perhaps if she ran away, adopted a new identity, and restricted herself to traditionally female activities she might get away with it - but, for all that Jon feels like a woman, she doesn't want to restrict herself to needlepoint. She wants to be a woman and to fight. Her role model in this is Queen Visneya.
In the chaos before King Robert's arrival, Jon runs away. Her escape is helped by the fact that the few people Ned is able to send after her do not know to look for a woman.
Jon manages to make her way to Pentos shortly before Daenerys is due to marry Khal Drogo. She's recognized by Jorah Mormont - not as a Stark, but as a Northerner recently come from Westeros, and presented to Dany during her wedding as a means of learning more about the country she is exiled from. Jon - now calling herself Jenny Snow - is very much an unwilling member of Dany's court, but has little alternative.
Canon proceeds apace, with the addition that many of the Dothraki are alternately amused and disgusted by a woman who wields a sword - though she gains the respect of certain factions for cutting the cock off any man found take a woman unwilling, free or slave.
Drogo dies. Dany becomes mother of dragons...
...and Rhaegal is absolutely taken with Jenny.
At this point some of the truth comes out - that Jenny is the bastard daughter of Ned Stark, now presumed to have a Dragonseed for a mother - but the fact Jenny was born Jon Snow remains remarkably hidden considering the Dothraki live largely out of doors with minimal privacy.
Canon continues to proceed apace, with Dany and Jenny becoming friends in a way they never quite managed while Drogo was alive. They do not become lovers until they finally sail for Dragonstone, and when King Robb - heavily scarred after surviving the Red Wedding - comes to plead for aid, he doesn't see his missing half-brother in Visneya Blackfyre (as Jenny Snow is now known as).
Visneya is sent with Rhaegal and some of their allies to defeat the Others, while Dany and the remainder of her army begins solidifying their position in Westeros.
With their forces divided, neither side is willing to take stupid risks, but with their fresh soldiers and supplies from Essos they can make several important, modest gains. Dany takes the islands of Blackwater Bay and the Narrow Sea - including the Stepstones - before moving onto the Stormlands and the rest of the Crownlands. Visneya, for her part, knows Northerners and how best to fight in Northern weather, and leads her forces to several great victories - including holding the Wall after the Night King tries to destroy it with magic.
Eventually the Night King is defeated - Visneya managing to destroy him in single battle after a fall from Rhaegal separates her from her forces - and she returns south with a portion of the Northern army to start retaking the Riverlands and the Vale.
By the time they turn their attentions to the Iron Islands, the rest of Westeros has already bent the knee and Dany has been crowned Queen of the Seven Six Kingdoms - but it's there Visneya earns her epithet. Not only does she free any salt wives she comes across, but she kills many locals for raping and reaving, and turns the castles of those who refuse to concede to slag, starting with the Greyjoys. It is in many ways a second Harrenhal, writ large over an entire kingdom.
Though pressured to make a political alliance, Dany never remarries. She claims her dragon Drogon as her second husband and continues her affair with Visneya behind closed doors, stating that a dragon is the only acceptable spouse for a dragon, and produces a handful of children with the Targaryen look over the years. One of their daughters goes on to marry Robb Stark's heir. (This goes on back and forth for a handful of generations until, a la James I, the closest male heir to the North is the King of the Westeros, and the kingdoms are reunited.)
As for Visneya, no one ever gets a clear answer who she is or where she comes from. It's largely believed that her mother was a descendant of Daemon Blackfyre who married an exiled Northerner, but no one really knows. Not even Visenya, who never learns she was born the only son of Rhaegar Targaryen and his second wife, Lyanna Stark.
Bonuses include: 1) a detailed exploration of gender roles - and gendered violence - in Westeros and Essos. This should include the many ways in which gender is a performance, and that toxic Medieval masculinity is just as damaging as female repression, and what it means to want to exist outside your ordained role; 2) a detailed exploration of sexuality in Westeros and Essos and what it means to defy - or conform to - those norms ; and 3) Robb and Arya being the only ones ever to learn Visneya Blackfyre's original identity, mostly through accident rather than intention.
And that's all I've got. As always, feel free to adopt this bun, just link back if you ever do anything with it.

Hi! I just want to say I love your alchemy meta posts related to asoiaf! So many things clicked after reading them. Wanted to ask, you mentioned that Dany/Jon have an active/passive motif in their respective arcs, can you elaborate on that? Does it refer to their future arc in TWOW? (Dany going all out on slavery/conquest, Jon adopting a more apathetic attitude to the impeding doom of the Long Night...)
Hi!! So, you're here to nag me about the meta I said I would write and never did despite outlining it, yes, fair enough. (I'm kidding with you! Thanks actually for this kick in the pants.)
It's actually a motif for both Jon and Dany's arcs throughout the entire story. So let's start by redefining again what the point of passive/active is. In alchemy, the main goal is the "union of opposites," usually embodied in two characters in literature. The classic opposites tend to have the following motifs/symbols associated with them:
Male: Sun, sulphur, fire and air, hot and dry, red, gold, heart, active.
Female: Moon, mercury (or quicksilver), earth and water, cool and moist, white, silver, mind, passive.
ASOIAF switches the genders, which is very interesting. Jon is marked as white, water (snow), has qualities of mercury (mercury can shift states very easily; Jon goes undercover), is cunning, is of course associated with the cold north. Dany...
Tumblr media
Well, Dany actually starts A Game of Thrones as passive (not wanting to marry Drogo and begging Viserys not to make her), but by the end of the first book she is fully active. This actually fits her other "alchemical" motifs because she starts off as white, the "moon of [Drogo's] life,", silver, etc. but by the end of the first book is reborn out of fire, and is therefore marked as sun, sulfur, gold, fire and air (flying on fire-breathing dragons), hot and dry (the territory of Essos), etc.
And of course, Dany is active, while Jon is passive. Let's go through the books, shall we? The active/passive motif exists in relationships as well as their internal motivations/personal goals.
Tumblr media
Let's compare their (romantic/sexual) relationships first. Jon is reluctant to get involved with Ygritte and only does when there is little choice; he is attracted to her, so I wouldn't say it's nonconsensual, but there's also certainly an element of "do it or die." Dany also had little choice with Drogo, but by the middle of AGOT she's the one initiating public sex with him without any shame.
Jon's other quasi-romantic relationship so far is with Val, which thus far is (and likely will forever remain) unconsummated, with Jon fully committing to never violating his vows again. He also refuses to marry Val even though doing so would be politically expedient for Stannis. In contrast, Daenerys initiates with Daario, and she is the one who decides to marry Hizdahr even though she doesn't want to, for reasons of political expedience. She's actively making these choices.
It's even present in how they treat subordinates in regards to sex. Dany has sex with Irri and feels guilty for it, because even if Irri is happy to do so, she's still Dany's servant, and Dany knows there's an uncomfortable power dynamic there and expressly feels guilt over it. Jon is instead defined by what he doesn't do: his brothers of the Night's Watch spread rumors about him and Satin, but the reality is that nothing is going on and there probably isn't any attraction there either. Dany takes action; Jon does nothing and thinks that it'll all blow over and people will come to accept Satin, when that is very naive. (I'm not saying Jon is doing anything wrong; he's not. It's just an interesting parallel I noticed.)
Then let's talk their purposes and internal motivations. Jon defines himself as illegitimate, as Ned Stark's bastard. Daenerys defines herself as the rightful heir to the Targaryen dynasty. How does this translate into active vs passive?
Tumblr media
Daenerys is active in regards to protecting slaves and freeing them. She just doesn't always do it wisely. But she intervenes and stops several assaults and frees people, crowning herself queen in Meereen to stay queen.
Jon, on the other hand, is a lot more passive. He refuses to help Gilly when she asks for help at the visit to Craster's because it's just not done and would violate his vows. Jon is forced by Qhorin Halfhand to go undercover with the Wildings; literally, he's pushed into it. Even when he is elected as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, he did not campaign for himself nor seek it out. It's passivity, and a sharp contrast to Daenerys's deliberate seeking of power.
However, what they both do with power is very similar. Daenerys wants to free people and save them. Jon, too, wants to save the Wildlings. They can't help but empathize with people mistreated around them. Daenerys definitely sees herself in slaves (sold to Drogo), in sexual assault victims (again, Drogo), and in people forcibly taken to strange lands (being raised in Essos, always on the run). Jon sees himself in the Wildlings, always defined as an "other" despite being very human (Wildlings and bastards are treated differently for no legitimate reason). Both struggle with duty vs passion, with Dany choosing duty (Hizdahr) over passion (Daario), and Jon of course as well (choosing the Night's Watch over Ygritte and over Val).
As for the future, well. Every character tends to become "the monster you think I am," to quote Tyrion. What is the monster everyone thinks Daenerys is? What is the monster everyone thinks Jon is?
The Mad King's Daughter.
Bastards are craven.
Both quotes occur multiple times in every single book. Both Jon and Dany try to define themselves as different from this. Jon refuses to be craven. Dany is in denial about who her father was, but there's also a level wherein she worries about her own sanity, so she suspects something.
Both Jon and Dany also make an opposite decision in A Dance With Dragons. Jon finally chooses to be active and march south; the problem is that this completely destroys duty and is foolish. Dany chooses to be passive and robes herself in white and pearls again in her marriage to Hizdahr. It just... doesn't work out for either of them.
Both have tried so hard, and gotten nothing. They're going to sink into their flaws, their tendencies towards activity and passivity, and also become the monsters people think they are. HOWEVER. Their arcs are not going to end with them as monsters. They need to see what they are capable of becoming to truly face their demons and overcome them.
Daenerys is going to go on the warpath in The Winds of Winter. I think that's very clear from her final chapter in A Dance With Dragons. She tried to temper herself. She chained her dragons. She married a Meereenese man. She let the fighting pits reopen. It hasn't brought the peace she's been seeking. I think she'll use fire and blood to subdue her enemies and take Westeros.
Jon, on the other hand, has just been killed. Melisandre is clearly going to resurrect him. He wanted to march south and ditch duty before he died, and I don't doubt he'll ditch duty. Why hang around the Night's Watch when they just killed you? He's probably going to sink into apathy, especially once he finds out that Arya is not the girl in need of rescue. His family is nowhere around him. He was just killed by his new "brothers." Why bother? Why keep caring? Why keep trying? I definitely see him ditching the Watch but not coming to Stannis's aid either.
Tumblr media
Also, both will get a reveal about their parents. Dany will learn that the Mad King was truly evil when King's Landing blows up in her face in a green blur of her dad's wildfyre. Jon will learn he's actually not Ned Stark's bastard... not even his son, in fact. Dany's reveal will be a result of her action, Jon's will almost certainly be a reveal from someone else to him, not his own searching. Dany will be horrified because of what her father wanted to do and what she committed (even if she didn't mean to go so far), while Jon will be horrified by what was omitted by the man he thought was his father.
But the answers to their problems can be found through each other. Jon will find his family again--his siblings Arya, Bran, maybe Rickon, and Sansa--and meet Sam again, too. He'll find love with Daenerys, someone who has messed up atrociously and still wants to do good. And he'll find out that being a Targaryen is not a taint through her; even when you'e messed up, you can still be a hero. Daenerys will be wondering why on earth she even has her dragons and how she can possibly rule after leaving the city in ashes, and along come the Others. She's the only one who can defeat them. She'll just have killed f!Aegon (likely unintentionally) and knew he was a fraud, but here's an actual family member. She's not the last Targaryen; instead of seeing that as a threat, I think she'll see it as a comfort eventually. Dany will help Jon remember his duty again, and Jon will help Dany love and be loved again, and together they'll save the world.

BG3 Tav Backstory Bash
This is a challenge to help people flesh out their Tav’s backstory by exploring their past. It is organized into four sections with seven prompts. You can treat this as a monthly challenge or a general project. You can write headcanons, fics, or share art based on the prompts! You can interpret the prompts however you want. If you want to share use the tag #bg3backstorybash
Got tagged by @elspethdekarios who already knows like way too much about Dani (I always pick Dani for these things, even though I should try to do them for Ardynn, Freyr, and Invi too). I'm insane and did all of the prompts from @kelandrin's original post. Anyone who steals this absolutely does not have to do that.
I'm tagging everyone. All of you. Everyone single person with a Tav.

Meridan "Dani" Zavrai (later Dekarios)
Age: 25
Mephistopheles Tiefling • College of Lore Bard • Entertainer • Chaotic Good
For your sanity, it's all under the cut c:
Baby:
Parents
Dani is the daughter of Maeva Zavrai and some unknown, unnamed (for me) deadbeat bard who never stuck around. Obviously Maeva knew his name, but she never spoke it after he left, because there was no point in dredging him back up.
They met in a tavern. Maeva was working as a barmaid to save up money to accomplish her dream of becoming a talented seamstress who designed elegant clothing. A certain handsome tiefling bard visited one day and the two hit it off really well. He ended up sticking around for a few months right up until the night Maeva told him that she thought she was pregnant. He conveniently disappeared the next day. No notes, no goodbyes. Maeva saw it coming a mile away, but it still stung.
Around the time Dani was a few months old, though, Brannon Rufford stopped by with his wife and brother, calling themselves the Merry Rovers. Brann's wife was heavily pregnant the night they stopped to perform at Maeva's tavern, and went into labor that same night. Maeva assisted with the birth despite not being much of a nursemaid, but Brann's wife died due to complications. Brann was...broken, and at a loss, and wasn't sure what to do next. Maeva offered to nurse his infant daughter for a few days while he figured something out. He and his brother disappeared for a week, but Brann then came back with a handful of gold and a strange request. If he worked to provide money for her, Dani, and his new daughter, Liara, could she care for his daughter for a year or two? Maeva reluctantly agreed, and from then on Brann became a kind of adopted dad to Dani, while Maeva became an adopted mom to Liara.
Birth
Dani was born in a room in the tavern where Maeva worked at the time. It was relatively uneventful as far as births go, but poor Maeva was expected to get back to work only days after giving birth, or else risk losing her room over the tavern. She moved in temporarily with her mother until she met Brann, and Brann's handful of gold and continued support allowed her to purchase a ramshackle house of her own.
First word
Probably "mumma" or something. Maeva was all Dani had for the first several months of her life. Maeva's mom was there, too, but she died before Dani could have any real memory of her.
When they first walked
She was probably a very average 10-11 months or so. I can just see her doing cute butt-scooches for the longest time, with her grandmother tutting that she's falling behind, right up until Maeva brings Liara home. When she first comes home, Dani pulls herself up to peek down into the makeshift cradle where Liara is laying, and it's obvious she's trying to make sense of this not-blue baby with no tail and round ears. Maeva tells her that Liara is going to be staying with them for a while and that it will mean some changes. After that, she's a little more inclined to walk (in part out of necessity).
Tantrum
Dani has had so many tantrums (though she's adapted her style since her baby days). Her first significant tantrum was probably after Liara had joined their household, but after Maeva's mother had died. Maeve had to bring both of them to work at the tavern and had placed them in a corner behind the bar with a couple of wooden toys to keep them occupied. While she was off cleaning tables, Liara snatched one of Dani's toys and Dani just had to scream about it. Just an absolute racket, which set Liara off, so now there are two crying babies in the corner. The tavern owner threatened to fire Maeva if she couldn't find someone to watch her brats, so Maeva quit and returned home to turn her place into a seamstress shop, something she'd been planning to do for ages anyway.
First sickness
Very early in Dani's infancy, she caught a mild cold thanks to the winter chill. Maeva was beside herself. This was her first kid, she didn't have much money for a healer, and she didn't know the first thing about soothing a baby who was hurting from upset tummies, stuffy noses, and other symptoms that must have been very, very new to a baby as young as Dani was. She ended up running to her mother's house in the wee hours of the morning half-convinced Dani was going to be dead by sunrise, until her mother took the baby, told Maeva to go to sleep, and had Dani snoozing peacefully within the hour.
Thunderstorm
Dani probably slept through most thunderstorms in Baldur's Gate. Stonyeyes, the district where Maeva lives and works, is sheltered partly by the Duskhawk Hill, so they didn't have much to fear from the Chionthar river flooding or anything like that. Honestly, the tavern noises she slept through as a baby were probably louder than most thunderstorms.
Childhood:
Friends/Siblings
I'm putting these together because to Dani, her friends Liara, Paraxxel, and Kellen are her siblings, especially Liara.
Liara was obviously the first. Though Liara lived with Dani and Maeva for the first 2-3 years of her life, Brann eventually decided to take Liara traveling with him. So for the next 10-12 years, Brann and Liara were a bit more like extended family who dropped by once a month or so. Liara still calls Maeva "Maemae" (a mix of Maeva and mama) and Dani still considers Brann the closest thing to a father she's ever had, but their relationship during this time was a bit more like really close friends. Liara is a bubbly, romantic girl who is obsessed with a good love story or love ballad and thinks her father hangs the moon.
Dani met Paraxxel (her dragonborn bestie) when he was just a street performer with an old drum and the clothes on his back. I have a whole fic about them meeting. But long story short, she convinces him to join Brann and Liara as part of the Merry Rovers, so now every monthly visit has him in tow, too. Paraxxel is a snarky, restless kind of guy who's always tapping out rhythms on his legs, on the table, etc. He and Dani are often going back and forth, ribbing and teasing each other. He's five years older than Dani, so he also takes on a kind of protective older brother role in her life, even though she insists she can fight in a scrap better than he can.
Kellen, the final member of the current Merry Rovers, joined around the time Dani was 13 or 14. He's a quiet, shy half-elf who mostly plays the flute for the Rovers and doesn't sing as much. He's about a year or two older than Dani and Liara, and Liara fell in love with him at first sight. She constantly talks about the fact that they're going to get married one day, but she never actually told Kellen she liked him until they were all well in their teens, because for a while it seemed like Kellen wasn't interested. He was, he just didn't know how to put it into words, and Brann is scary. Out of all the Merry Rovers, he's the most level-headed and sensible, second only to Brann.
Getting into trouble
When does Dani not get into trouble? She gets into scraps a lot in her childhood, including the scrap that let her meet Paraxxel. The kids that made up little street gangs in Stonyeyes were everywhere, and she wasn't about to let them cause trouble for her and her mom.
Birthday
I don't have an exact date for her birthday because I didn't think that far ahead, but during her childhood, her birthdays were always spent with Maeva (and Brann, Liara, and whoever else was part of the Merry Rovers that year, if they could make it). Maeva usually went out to buy a sweet treat and made as fine a dinner as she could for the evening. Gifts were few and far between, but Dani will never forget her twelfth birthday, when Brann gifted her her first fiddle and promised to teach her how to play it.
Games
Dani loves games. All games. Most of the games she played in childhood were the kinds you can play without actual equipment (no balls, no cards, etc). But being part of tavern culture in many ways, she learned how to play cards and play simple games in the streets with other kids too. (I have a fic where she teaches the BG3 companions one of her favorite games, actually).
Learning something new
Brann taught her every musical thing she knows, plus a couple of easy bard spells once he saw she had the talent for it. He started her off on the lute, since that's what Liara was learning at the same time, but at 12 he gifted her with a small fiddle and began teaching her that, too. She practiced for hours whenever he wasn't around so that when he next arrived, she could impress him and learn something new.
Trauma
This is a good segue into the next section. Despite growing up relatively poor, getting into scraps as a kid, and having several of the people she loved the most only visiting once in a while, Dani's childhood wasn't exactly traumatic. Hard, maybe, but she was happy most of the time. That is until she was 15 and her mother grew ill with some kind of illness that nearly killed her.
Since Dani and her mother couldn't afford healers for the most part, they tried to cure the illness the best they could, but her mother was bedridden for weeks. Dani was forced to pick up a few jobs, in the tavern, playing on the street, trying to do other people's laundry, to earn enough coin to buy her mother potions or herbs. Brann and the other Rovers were nowhere nearby and she didn't know how to get in touch with them. For the first time, she felt suddenly desperately alone and terrified that she might lose her mom.
Maeva eventually recovered, but the illness had forever weakened her legs, and she was unable to leave her bed for several more weeks.
Despite nearly losing her mother, Dani came to the conclusion that the only thing she could do to earn enough money to actually help her mother was to join the Merry Rovers. So once her mother was out of danger, she begged and begged and begged to join the Rovers the next time they passed through. Maeva agreed reluctantly, and the next time Brann arrived, he agreed to let her travel with them for while. Dani vowed to send money back as often as she could so that her mother could afford visits to a healer.
Teenager:
First love
Probably some scrappy Outer City kid who told her she was pretty enough times that she figured he wasn't just flirting. But even then, it was a fleeting relationship and it fizzled out immediately when Dani's mom got sick. After that, well...Dani is a flirty girl, and she's no stranger to one-off trysts and quick flings. It isn't until she meets Gale that she realizes what it actually means to love someone the way ballads sing about love.
Rebellion
Dani is a bit of a rebel at heart. While traveling with the Rovers, even though she loved and respected Brann, she didn't always listen to him when he told her to stay at the inn they were using that night or to not wander off. Liara swears Brann got more gray hair having to deal with Dani ignoring his orders than he ever had traveling with just her, Paraxxel, and Kellen. Sneaking out was just a common thing for Dani for a while. But she always came back.
Running away
Technically Dani didn't run away because she left her mother's home to travel with Brann with her mother's permission...but she did technically leave home at 15 to live the life of a wanderer without a home. I don't think she ever thought about running away from the Rovers. Never once. She loves them too much.
Reckless behavior
More than once while traveling with the Rovers, Dani has snuck out to meet someone for a tryst or gone gambling with the money she's supposed to be saving up to send to her mother. She's a good card player, but she sometimes doesn't know when to stop while she's ahead.
Peer pressure
Paraxxel and Dani have almost always been as thick as thieves, but for the most part it's never been romantic or flirty between them. Despite this, the ever-romantic Liara swore she saw sparks flying between them and that Dani and Paraxxel should totally start going out. Both of them were hesitant, but Liara is pretty persistent. So for Dani's 18th birthday, she and Paraxxel agreed to at least try it out. They both got pretty wasted and slept together that night. It was...fine? But the vibes were weird and both agreed, in the clarity of a slightly hungover morning, that they shouldn't do it again. They both preferred being friends and nothing more.
Growing pains
Dani probably went through a physical growth spurt after joining the Rovers, but it was nothing that she couldn't handle between knowing how to mend her own clothes and pestering Brann with a bunch of questions he always felt a little too awkward to answer. Emotionally, she dealt with the repercussions of several ill-advised trysts or unwise decisions to party or gamble. It took her a while to realize that she didn't have to constantly go out and "experience life" for her to have a good time with the Rovers.
Taking responsibility
Brann doesn't coddle his bards in his troupe. If you're going to be part of the Merry Rovers, you're also going to know how to manage your belongings, keep up with your instrument, mend your own clothes (or pay for someone to mend them), and behave yourself so you don't get tossed in jail (none of them are thieves for the most part, but Dani and Paraxxel did teach themselves how to pick locks and pockets). The most he's going to do for you is negotiate the rooms for the night and occasionally pay for dinner. So while Dani traveled with the Rovers, she had to learn to be a little more independent and deal with the consequences if she decided she was too lazy to keep up with her stuff correctly or gambled away all her money.
Adulthood:
Their “first time”
Her first time was after she left to join with the Rovers, but before she was 18. She can't even remember his name. She just remembers waking up the next morning to Brann throwing the guy out of her room and looking furious. She got smarter about flings after that. No more inviting people to the room that Brann was paying for.
Serious relationships
She never really had a serious romantic relationship. They were constantly on the move. She was fine with that, and put most of her romantic energy into teasing Liara and Kellen about their snails-pace romance while letting out steam with whatever handsome dude or pretty girl was fine with a few hours of fun. Believe it or not, Gale is her first committed romantic relationship ever. It’s very new for her and she often wonders if it’s too good to be true.
Work
Her job was to perform with the Merry Rovers. Brann could play many instruments, but he stuck to the lyre, while Liara played the lute, Paraxxel played the drums, Kellen played the flute, and Dani played the violin. She often sang and danced, too. The Rovers did more than play music, they tried to perform with decent theatricality under Brann's general direction. While not much of an actor himself, he knew how to construct a good performance, relying on the younger bards to perform and dance while he maintained the foundation of the performance with his music and voice. The Rovers were decently popular amid the Outer City districts.
Leaving home
She left home when she was 15. She's been traveling with the Rovers for ten years before she got snatched by the nautiloid.
Aging
Dani's a cool 25. "Old" to her feels like it'll be miles away. She often jokes that Brann, who is only barely 50, is old, but he's a spry guy and she hopes she's half as fit as he is when she's 50.
Finding your place
Dani doesn't feel like Dani unless she's got a fiddle in her hands or a song on her tongue. You couldn't convince her to become anything other than a bard. Separating her from music, song, and dance is like asking her to cut off a limb. She wouldn't be the same without it.
She's also obsessed with Baldur's Gate. She thinks it's the best city in the world. Not the safest, not the richest, but certainly the most colorful and the only place she would want to be. That is...until she's snatched up and dumped outside the city.
Now, she realizes her place is among the people who love her. Home, to her, is a person who holds your heart. It's her mother, it's Brann and the Rovers, it's her companions that she befriends after the nautiloid abduction, and in the end, it's Gale. Baldur's Gate is a wonderful city, and as long as she's within the city she feels happy. But she knows now that she can make a home wherever she is, as long as she's with someone she loves.
Starting a family/found family
Obviously the Rovers were her first found family, but she absolutely considers the companions she makes in BG3 her found family as well. To her, it just means her family is growing. It includes her mom, the Rovers, the companions, but also tieflings like Rolan, Cal and Lia, Bex and Danis, Alfira and Lakrissa.
She marries Gale, of course, and I think they wait to have kids for a few years. She's convinced she would be a bad mom at first (in that “I can barely take care of myself” kind of way) and Gale obviously has reservations. But I do think that down the line, they have a pair of twins who are just utter chaos, and they're only too happy to rely on their wide network of family members to help get through the more turbulent years of raising twins with Dani's personality and Gale's intelligence. It really does take a village...
———
Congrats you made it to the end! Please enjoy Dani’s expression for when she was like “Hey Gale this Waterdeep illusion is cool but I want to smash YOU, not an illusion of you” and his reply was “The old ways then. If that is what you wish, so be it.”
Tumblr media
I could caption this so many ways lmao

A Whole New Ballfield: "ALN" Story (Pre-Serum Omega!Steve and Alpha!Bucky Modern Domestic AU)
Twenty-One:
The thing that Steve never anticipated when he first became a parent was meeting potential in-laws. He supposed that he probably should've considering how he, himself, had in-laws. Especially in-laws that he was very, very close with. But it just never crossed his mind in regard to his own kids and their significant others.
"Now, remember," Finn started, turning to his family as they walked up the steps to the welcoming porch of Dani's family home. "Dani has a big family, but let's not be... how do I wanna phrase this...?"
"Loud?" Nevie supplied, trying to be helpful while Cori unhelpfully teased, "Embarrassing?"
"Fun?" Bucky added, earning a giggle from Bitsy and an unamused scowl from Finn.
Taking up the rear of the group, Ollie tried to catch his breath and suggested, "Can we please get this show on the road? I gotta piss like a racehorse."
And if Finn gave his alpha father A Look, he gave his older brother an even worse one. It was definitely a look that he undoubtedly inherited from his omega father. Steve couldn't blame the younger alpha though. He just wanted things to go well. These were, after all, the people who were going to be his in-laws. The people who were going to be their in-laws.
Steve longed for the days when the only parents he had to deal with were those of his kids' friends. Why couldn't Finn be with one of those kids? Preferably the Maximoffs. They knew the Maximoffs. They got along with the Maximoffs. Plus, it had worked out for Ollie marrying one of his childhood friends...
Currently, Rhodey soothingly marked over the thirty-seven week bump. Just trying to be supportive and caring. Of course, Oliver clearly wasn't in the mood, and he shoved his husband's hand away. Not that Steve could blame the twenty-seven year old.
"Please," Finn turned his back to the house so he could address his family directly. Really stressing, "Please, try to be on your best – and I mean, absolute best – behavior."
In reply, Oliver flipped his younger brother off, earning a chuckle from Kit and another look from Finn.
Instead of vocally reprimanding his brother's behavior, Finn continued, "And whatever you do, don't talk about how sexy pops is. No one wants to hear about it. And no one wants to hear about your, 'healthy,' sex lives either."
"Why do I feel like you're talking directly to me?" Bucky deadpanned.
The girls huddled together and giggled to themselves. Knowing that while their fathers were, well, the way they were, didn't always make for the greatest first impression. And this was an important first impression. Some could even call it the most important first impression of any first impressions up to that point.
Rolling his eyes, Finn faced the front. Fidgeting with his jacket and his hair and his glasses and... well, everything and anything he could, he reached out to ring the doorbell. For the moment that it took the Harrises to open the door, Steve reached forward to give his son's broad shoulder a comforting squeeze.
Beside him, Bucky mocked a look at his husband. Before Steve could send a real one back at the alpha, the thick wooden door was pulled open. The Barneses made sure to put on their biggest grins, anticipating one of Dani's parents, not the beta herself. Of course, seeing her only made their grins turn just a bit more genuine.
Greeting Finn first, Dani pulled him in for a sweet chaste kiss. Bucky draped his arm around Steve's slender shoulders pulling him closer so he could press a kiss to the omega's temple. All the while, the no-longer-little littles puckered their lips and made kissy noises. With that though, Steve noticed how red Dani's freckled cheeks were alongside Finn's. The only difference was the unamused scowl on Finn's face.
Bucky attempted to muffle his laughter while Steve apologized for the younger members of the family and their teasing, "Sorry 'bout them."
"They're adopted," Finn claimed.
"They are not," Steve good-humoredly scoffed, shoving his son's shoulder.
Dani simply smiled and gave her fiancé another kiss. It made Steve want to melt, but he made sure to turn around to look at his younger adult children. Silently warning them not to mock their brother and future sister-in-law.
"This is nice and all, but I gotta pee," Ollie announced, shoving his way through his family and closer to the house.
"He's adopted," Finn joked while Dani informed her pregnant soon-to-be brother-in-law, "It's all the way in the back. Off the kitchen."
"Thank you," Ollie smiled, rushing inside and nearly knocking down Dani's mom. The older brunette caught herself though and was greeted by the older Barnes son with an apologetic smile.
Looking at the graying brunette, it was easy to tell where the strawberry blonde got her button nose and warm, freckled complexion. And just like how looking at his own children was like looking at a snapshot of his husband, looking at Dani's mom was like looking into Dani's future.
"Well, welcome! I'm Giulia, Daniela's mom." The brunette greeted. Gesturing for the Barneses to enter her home, she giggled, "Let's pretend that my daughter uses the manners I taught her, and c'mon in!"
"So far –" Bucky whispered, following their family into the house "– I like her."
Playfully, Steve rolled his eyes, "Cookie's always been a good judge of character."
"Still," Bucky shrugged, taking the container of cookies from Steve so the omega could remove his winter jacket.
Once their outerwear was hung on the hooks and their boots were moved out of the way, Steve took the orange cookies back and started down the hallway. The dark wooden molding was beautiful and instantly caught Steve's eyes, but not nearly as much as the family photos on the walls. It was easy to find Dani, and Steve couldn't help but imagine what his future grandchildren could look like with those genes.
Passing the sitting room and the well-loved piano and cello that resided there, Steve felt even better that his son was marrying into this family. Sure, Dani was a musician – an elementary music teacher, to be exact – but it meant something for their future in-laws to be kindred spirits with their own family.
"Oh, c'mere! C'mere!" Giulia insisted when they entered the dining room. Rounding the half-full table, she stood behind the older man, and introduced him, "This is my husband, Chris. Honey, these are Finn's fathers, Bucky and Steve."
"Nice to finally meet you!" Chris grinned, revealing where Dani got her friendly smile and kind eyes. No, revealing where Dani and her siblings got their friendly smile and kind eyes.
"You as well," Bucky agreed, matching the man grin for grin.
It all reminded Steve of when he had met the Barneses for the first time. All of them were smiling at him, and Steve could feel his cheeks heating from all of the attention. Yet, there was a familiarity with them as they were gathered around a deck of playing cards. Even more so seeing his own kids taking up some of the seats around the table.
"You raised a wonderful son," an older woman in her eighties, at least, complimented, being sure to give them a toothless smile.
"Thank you," Steve accepted, already adoring this family for being so good to Finn.
"Nonna just loves Finn," Dani teased her grandmother, adoringly gazing up at the alpha.
Not wanting it to seem like they didn't care about the beta, Bucky added, "We're fond of Dani, here, too. She fits right in with us so much that it's like we're family already."
Finn beamed at that, draping his arm around the beta's shoulders, and reeling her close. When, in turn, the strawberry blonde looked up at her fiancé, and stood on her tiptoes so she could kiss his cheek, completely melted Steve. And it seemed that he wasn't the only one.
"Don't be shy, now," Chris encouraged, chuckling, "Come take a load off and make yourself at home!"
Gathering the cards, Dani's brothers assured, "We'll play whatever you like. But I will warm you that Corinna has the best poker face."
"Shut up," a tall, lanky woman shoved the twenty-something year old's shoulder. Explaining, "Luke says that I can't bluff to save my life." Then, as if it was a secret, she added, "But what he doesn't know is that I let him win."
In reply, Luke glared at his sister, causing Steve's lips to quirk into a smile. Kids will be kids, Steve supposed, looking at his own children. His children who were trying to be on their best behavior because their brother had asked them to, and they loved him. And Steve knew that they loved Dani too, even as they teased her. Especially as they teased her.
They were family. One big, loving, loud, fun family that could be embarrassing. But being able to laugh at themselves and each other were some of Steve's favorite memories. And already, Steve couldn't wait to make even more memories with their new additions.

I’ve wanted to brighten up peoples day and to ask what’s your MC / OC favorite dish/snack?
Thanks 😍
Hi there, sweetie!
Sorry, it took me awhile to answer your question. I added it to my drafts to make a more elaborate answer and forgot it while I was working on Dani's (@missameliep) birthday gift 🤦🏻‍♀️
Anyway, I have lots of OCs, so I chose three among them so I don't get too carried away and make this post longer than it already is 😅
Alisha (D&D OC) is a chef, so she's more into homemade food than industrialized stuff. She likes all kinds of snacks (pretzels, donuts, potato chips, etc), but she always has some dried fruits with her. They're sweet, the have all the necessary nutrients we need from a fruit and she can carry them on her bag to eat along the day. Her favorite is dried damask because its taste and texture reminds her of a candy.
Her favorite dessert are cupcakes. She is fascinated by cakes and the first recipe she learned were cupcakes. They are an opportunity to be creative with the flavors and make beautiful frosting decorations.
Her favorite main dish is murgh makhani (a.k.a butter chicken). Alisha left India to live with her adoptive parents at a very young age and since she spent most of her life there in a poor orphanage, she doesn't remember much of Indian dishes. Her parents, however, are loving people who encouraged her to remain close to her roots. One day her mother asked the cook to prepare murgh makhani for lunch and Alisha loved its creamy texture enriched with spices. Whenever she finds an Indian restaurant or goes to India, she always asks for it.
As a bonus, I also chose a drink for each of them and Alisha's is Sharbat (or Bombay lemonade), a lemonade that also has some spices and black salt. It's perfect for summer days, but she drinks it regardless of the weather or season.
Tumblr media
Daphne (D&D MC) loves food, but she can barely boil an egg 😂 Luckily, she doesn't have to cook, so she can simply appreciate the dishes. Lo Mein is her favorite dish and comfort food. It reminds her of childhood and the wonderful smell coming from the kitchen whenever her mother or grandma were cooking.
Her two favorite snacks are popcorn and licorice. Shockingly (lol), she can make a nice bowl of popcorn, but she often chooses licorice because she can carry it on her bag and eat whenever she's a bit hungry, but not hungry enough to order food or have her roommate or boyfriend to cook for her. She carries big rolls of red licorice during trips and always shares them with her boyfriend.
Her favorite dessert is macarons. Her first experience with it was when she met her young brother and Harry kept pestering Lord Vincent about going to a bakery to have macarons. She had no idea of what it was and simply found it a cute cookie when she saw it. But as soon as the extremely light almond cookie filled with chocolate ganache melted into her mouth, she understood the fuss about it.
Bonus: Daphne likes to drink anything sweet, but her favorite is strawberry daiquiris. It's a plus if it's frozen, but as long as there's alcohol, sugar and strawberries, she doesn't discriminate 😂
Tumblr media
Evelyn (OpH MC) loves homemade food, but since doctors have crazy routines, she usually eats anything that is easy to make or that she can order. On Edenbrook's vending machines, she only gets potato chips. According to her, you can't go wrong with them. Her favorite main dish is pastelón, a Puerto Rican version of lasagna she was introduced to during a family trip.
Her favorite dessert is brigadeiro. There's a heavy influence of Rafael in her eating habits, but she can't deny that those little chocolate balls or the eat straight from the pan version are so comforting during nights she's by herself, watching TV.
Her drink is beer. A cold beer, with some side snacks and good company is all she needs to unwind after work.
Tumblr media
Thank you so much for the ask, dear!

The Understudies, Season 1, Chapter 1
Word Count: 3.6k
Warnings:  angst, mentions of death, secret child, mentions of violence, aggression, cursing
Tumblr media
Briana’s POV
“M-mom….mom…wake up…” my almost twelve year old prodded.  I wrapped my arms around my son, pulling him onto the bed, which normally would have had him breaking out in a fit of laughter.  When I didn’t hear his melodic tone, I became confused, and my eyes opened.  He was biting his bottom lip and he looked like he was going to cry.  My heart raced as I went on high alert, “baby, what’s wrong?  What happened?”
“I-I didn’t want to wake you up…but Aunt Dot is here…sh-she said that something happened to grandpa.”
I shot up, my eyes instantly going to the door of my bedroom, where one of my sisters stood, a firm frown on her face.
“D-dot…what are you doing here?”
“Dad’s dead…”
My breath caught in my chest, “wh-what?”
She took a few steps into my bedroom, and pulled the remote from my nightstand, pushing the dirtied scrubs to the floor.  The TV clicked on, and I was met with a breaking news bulletin.
“Eccentric billionaire, and head of the Umbrella Academy, Reginald Hargreeves was found dead in his estate this evening, by one of his staff members…” the report began; a picture of dad flashing across the screen before going to various montages of the Academy, “he’s most known as the father of fifteen adopted children, most of which have super-hero abilities.  The appearance of the Umbrella Academy was first noted in 2000, when the children were just eleven years old and had stopped a hostile takeover in France.”
“Mom?”
I looked to Dot, “wh-when did you find out?”
“Just a few hours ago,” she admitted, “I came to find you first…have you seen Dani yet?”
“Obviously not,” I growled, “the last time I saw her was…”
We both stopped talking as I looked at my son.  He’d had a frown on his face.  He knew that I had stopped talking to Dani when she emancipated herself and kissed Diego…just like he knew that his father was another of my adopted siblings, Ben.
He’d even managed to inherit his powers, something I’d kept a secret from my father, in order to protect him.  He knew that I had a son, but not of his powers.
“We have to go to the house…”
I bit my lip, “I don’t think that’s a good idea, Dot…”
“It’s not an idea, Bri…”
“But-“
“Mom…I-I think we should go…” Benji said sadly, “I-I want to say goodbye to grandpa.”
“Benji…everyone will be there…”
“Good,” he said firmly, standing in a proud pose, “I want them to know that I exist…I-I don’t want them thinking that my dad’s legacy died with him.  Mom…y-you’ve always told me stories about the Umbrella Academy when I was younger…how much dad believed in the group…how much he-“
“Benjamin Michael Hargreeves…”
Benji cut himself off and just stared at me.  I felt my heart breaking as I looked at him.  He was a carbon-copy of Ben at that age.  I watched the tears stream down his cheeks as he tried to hold it back.
“Benji…please don’t c-“
“We need to go, mom…”
I sighed, knowing that he was right.
Tumblr media
The siblings sat around, all trying to find something to say.  Luthor hadn’t been back from the moon for even eight hours and already he’d managed to inspect nearly every inch of the house.  There was something amiss, and he didn’t like it.  It felt too off.
Diego was glaring at his brother, angry over how he tried to take the lead.  Luthor had always tried to take the lead, sure, but this was especially irksome.  While he’d been off in space, playing astronaut, Diego was burdened with playing vigilante, while none of his other siblings seemed to care.  Allison got to go to Hollywood.  Klaus was in and out of rehab.  Five was gone.  Six was dead.  Seven wrote a tell-all book, which made the siblings seem like they were against her…which had really hurt his feelings, because he’d always tried to be nice to her.  And the rest had either disappeared or stayed with the team long enough to die on a mission, because they hadn’t been trained nearly as well as the original six.
Vanya and Allison were just staring at the two.  One and two had always been competitive, but even in the turn of their father’s passing, it somehow felt like a competition.  They were too unsure of making a move, afraid that it would set the two hotheads off, and nothing would be accomplished.
But it was Klaus that broke the silence, “so…now that dear old dad is gone…what’s the game plan?”
Luthor frowned at the lack of decorum from his brother, while number four busied himself with pouring a drink and lighting up a cigar.
“I guess I should just get this started then…since none of the other siblings are going to show up…”
“Did you really expect them to, Luthor?” Diego spat, “you and dad got most of them killed…and whoever was left scattered like cockroaches to avoid being next on the chopping block.”
“The triplets left because you couldn’t keep it in your pants,” Vanya grumbled, glaring at number two, “eight, fourteen, and fifteen are still out there and they’re powerful.  But ten and eleven disappeared off the map entirely, for fear that dad would come for them next.  Last I’d heard, which was a few years ago, they were back in Brazil where they were born, but they moved every time dad found out where they were, so they could be anywhere by now.  And thirteen is nearly useless…last I heard she was still trying to ride Allison’s coat tails.”
Allison frowned, “Don’t say she’s riding my coattails.  She’s doing porn, Vanya…I’m an actress.  She’s not.”
“Soooo, I figured that we’d have sort of a memorial service in the courtyard at sundown,” Luthor said quickly, breaking the awkward tension between his siblings, “you know…uh, say a few words, just at dad’s favorite spot…”
Allison’s attention went towards Luthor, “he had a favorite spot?”
“Yeah,” Luthor said in a confused tone as he looked at his siblings, “it was at the oak tree.  We used to sit out there all the time and read.  None of you ever did that?”
“It was probably with you and Bri,” Diego growled as he rolled his eyes, “you two were always his favorites.”
Luthor frowned, “she was your girlfriend…why are you so angry at-“
“Probably because he cheated on her, so she had sex with Klaus then started seeing Ben.”
“Wait, what?” Luthor’s brows furrowed at the admission from Vanya.  He looked between Klaus and Diego, “What happened?”
Klaus chuckled, “you really don’t keep up on the times, do you, Luthor?  It happened ages ago.  Diego was seeing Bri-“
“I thought Danielle was seeing Ben after she left.”
“They were…but Dani got Bri kicked out of their little band that they’d sneak off and do shows for and then made out with big bro here on stage…”
Allison gasped, “you did what?”
“That’s why she was quick to break up with him, and then word got back to a little birdy that Invisi-girl is way more powerful than she let any of us know.”
“What are you talking about?” Luthor asked.
“Well, when we hooked up, Diego walked in on us,” Klaus admitted, “she slowed down time.”
“Why didn’t you tell anyone about this?” Luthor asked with wild eyes as he looked at Diego, “if she was more powerful she could have been helping the team out wh-“
“Is that all you ever think about?” Diego growled, glaring at Luthor, “helping out the team?  Because you sure were quick to leave so you could play astronaut in outer space.”
“Dad said that there was a mission there!”
“Just a quick interruption and then we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming of arguing which of you loves fighting crime more,” Klaus grinned, interrupting his brothers as he took a drag of the cigar and began walking to the area that they were seated at, “dad’s ‘memorial’ will there be refreshments?  Tea?  Scones?  Cucumber sandwiches are always a winner with me!”
“What?” Luthor asked, his brows furrowing again as he turned towards Klaus, who had successfully changed the topic, “NO!  And put that out.  You know dad didn’t allow smoking in here!”
“Is that my skirt?”
“What?” Klaus asked.  He smiled, doing a little half-twirl as Allison’s question processed, “Oh yeah.  I found it in your room.  It’s a bit dated, I know, but it’s very breathy on the bits…”
“I see things are breaking down the way they always did,” A voice said smugly from the doors.  The siblings instantly went on the defensive until they saw number eight standing in the entryway with her arms crossed, “I see the others didn’t show…”
“What are you doing here?” Allison asked angrily.
“Just making sure the old prick is dead,” she smirked.  Then she looked at number two and gave a snarky wave, “hey Diego…it’s been a while.”
“Danielle.”
“Hey!” Luthor snapped, looking around the room, “listen up everyone.  There are still a lot of important things that we need to discuss.”
“Like what, Luthor?”
“Like the way that dad died.”
Diego rolled his eyes, “and here we go.”
“I-I don’t understand,” Vanya replied, looking around the room, “I thought that he died of a heart attack.”
“According to the coroner,” Dani smirked, pushing away from the door, “but we all know how skeptical number one is.”
“Well wouldn’t the coroner know?”
“Theoretically,” he argued, shooting a glare to Dani, “why are you even here?  No one invited you.”
“He was my father too, you ape.”
“I’m just saying that at the very least something happened,” Luthor said quickly, breaking away from looking at Dani, “the last time that I talked to dad he seemed strange.”
“Quelle?” Klaus said sarcastically, taking another drink, “c’est surprised!”
“Cut it out, Klaus…you’re not that elegant…and you don’t know any other French beyond being sarcastic,” Dani spat, glaring at number four, “what do you mean, strange, Luthor?”
Luthor huffed, half upset that the only one that seemed to be taking it seriously was Dani, the only sibling he truly disliked more than Diego.
“He sounded on edge,” Luthor admitted with a sigh, “He told me that I should be careful with who I trust.”
“Luthor he was a paranoid, bitter old man who was starting to lose what was left of his marbles,” Diego answered, rolling his eyes.  Then he looked at Dani, “you playing into this, isn’t helping, Dani.  You’re just showing up to stir the pot and then leave...”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah,” he growled, crossing his own arms over his chest, “it’s what you’re good at.  Breaking up relationships.”
“No…stop this!” Luthor responded, shooting more daggers between Dani and Diego, “look.  He must have known that something was going to happen.  Klaus…”
“Oh no…”
“Look, I know you don’t like to do it, but I need you to talk to dad!”
Klaus scoffed, “I can’t just call dad in the afterlife and ask him to take a collect call, Luthor.”
“Klaus.”
“I can’t just stop him from playing tennis with Hitler and ask if he has a second for that kind of call, Luthor.”
“Since when?” Luthor scoffed in response, “that’s your thing!”
Klaus sighed this time, shrugging his shoulders, “I’m not…I’m not in the right frame of mind.”
Allison rolled her eyes, “you’re high, aren’t you?”
“Yeah!” Klaus agreed, “YEAH!  How are you not, just listening to this nonsense?”
“Well sober up,” Luthor growled, glaring at Klaus once more, “this is important.”
“Yeah…okay.”
“And then there’s the issue of the missing monocle.”
“Who gives a shit about a stupid monocle?” Diego spat.
“Exactly,” Luthor proclaimed, “It’s worthless!  Soo whoever took it, this was personal.  Someone who knew him.  Someone with a grudge.”
“Not everything has to be an investigation, Luthor!” Dani said, rolling her eyes.
“Where are you going with this?” Klaus asked.
“Oh, isn’t it obvious Klaus?” Diego asked, staring at his sibling as though he were waiting for him to get it.  When he didn’t, he sighed, “he thinks one of us killed dad.”
Klaus looked at Luthor, and when he didn’t say anything to defend himself, he gasped, “oh god.  You do.  You think one of us killed the old man.”
“How could you think that?”
“Great job, Luthor,” Diego chuckled sarcastically as he got up to leave the room.  He pushed past his siblings, “way to lead.”
“That’s not what I’m saying, Diego!”
“You’re crazy man,” Klaus agreed, shaking his head as he began to follow Diego out of the room, “crazy!”
“Hey…I’m not finished.”
“Sorry,” Klaus shrugged, “I’m just going to go murder mom.  Don’t worry, I’ll be right back.”
“That’s not what I was saying!” Luthor began, trying to defend himself as Allison and Vanya also left the room.  He frowned, being left with Dani.
“Well, that went well.”
Luthor glared at number eight, “I didn’t ask for your input.”
“Look at that, big bad Luthor left all alone…accusing his siblings of wrongdoing…” Dani smirked, “didn’t the last time you did something like this cause your current predicament.”
“Walk…Away…”
“See you at sundown, big bro,” she grinned, leaving the room, “can’t wait for dad’s memorial service…”
Tumblr media
“W-what is that going to do?” Allison asked, glaring at Klaus as the siblings looked at the anomaly in their courtyard.
Klaus shrugged, staring at the whitish glow where the fire extinguisher he’d tossed had disappeared into, “I don’t know.  Do you have a better idea?”
“What are you guys doing?” Luthor asked, pulling Allison behind him, “get behind me.”
“Yeah!” Diego agreed, pulling Klaus behind him, while Vanya hid in the second row with Allison and Klaus while Dani, Diego, and Luthor held the front line, “get behind us.”
“I vote for running!” Klaus said quickly, hoping that his siblings would take him up on the offer, “c’mon.  Let’s get the hell out of here.”
But before another argument could occur, the anomaly spat out someone that was all too familiar to the siblings, before disappearing.
“Holy shit!” Klaus gasped, stepping from the cover of three of his siblings, “does anyone else see little number five, or is it just me?”
The young teenager brushed himself off before staring at his siblings, instantly knowing that he didn’t go back far enough, “shit…”
“M-maybe we should take this inside!” Luthor offered.  The siblings nodded, for once, not disagreeing with each other.
Five was first to push past, eager to get something to eat.  He went down to the kitchen, using his powers to push himself there.  By the time the siblings had gathered at the other end of the table, he’d pulled out a cutting board, knife, bread, peanut butter, and marshmallow fluff.  Vanya felt herself unable to contain the small smile, as there would finally be her brother’s favorite sandwich being made and eaten in the house once again.
“So, what’s the date?” he asked, unable to stand the silence as he made his food, “the exact date?”
“The 24th…”
“Of what?”
“March!” Vanya said simply.
Five nodded, “good.”
“So…are we going to talk about what just happened?” Luthor asked, “it’s been seventeen years!”
“It’s been a lot longer than that.”
He teleported behind his sibling to grab something from the top of the fridge and Luthor frowned to himself, “I haven’t missed that.”
“Where did you go anyways?” Diego asked.
“The future,” Five answered, rolling his eyes, “it’s shit by the way.”
Klaus smiled, “Called it.”
“I should have listened to the old man,” Five mused, “jumping through space is one thing, but jumping through time is a toss of the dice…nice dress, Klaus.”
“Oh…danke.”
“In the end, I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended bit of quantum space that exists across every possible instance of me.”
Diego’s face screwed up, “that makes no sense.”
“Well, it would if you were smarter.”
He went to lurch at the younger looking version of his sibling, but Luthor stopped him, “How long were you there?”
“Forty-five years, give or take.”
“So, what you’re saying, is that you’re 58?”
Five huffed, knowing there was only one person who would truly understand, “no…my consciousness is 58.  Apparently, my body is now 13 again.”
“Wait?” Vanya asked, “how does that even work?”
“Delores kept saying that the equations were off,” he chuckled, “eh…Bet she’s laughing now…where is she anyways?  Where is everyone else?”
“Delores?” Vanya asked.
“Yeah.  Dot?  Last I saw she and Bri were combining their powers…she-“
Allison frowned, and Five stopped speaking, sensing something happened.
“What happened to Dot?”
“She lived that day,” Allison answered, knowing that’s where five’s mind went, “she’s been in and out of rehabs…and I told Bri not to help her try to find you anymore.”
Five’s jaw clenched, “you’re the reason I never saw her again?
“Wait, you knew five was alive?” Luthor asked, glaring at Allison.
“It was Dot,” Allison sighed, “she and Bri were visiting me, and she started OD’ing in my bathroom.  I thought she was about to die and just seeing things…”
“She found me, Allison…she was there for a moment when her astral projection was fading.”
“She was dying, Five,” Allison growled, “It took four shots of Narcan to get her to come out of it.”
His jaw ticked and he picked up the paper, “she’s not here now though?”
“I am…actually.”
Five turned towards the exit behind his siblings, his heart in his stomach as he recognized the voice.
“Dot…” he whispered, seeing her standing there.  His siblings turned as well, all of them surprised to see the second of the triplets.
And Vanya felt the slightest bit of jealousy as they ran to one another and embraced each other.
Tumblr media
Diego moved out of the way, just as Luthor went to superman punch him.  But instead, he met the hard metal of Ben’s statue.  It knocked off of its platform, falling to the ground.  Its head snapped off.
Bri’s eyes went wide as no one seemed to notice her, and she shielded her son’s face from the fighting going on.
“There goes Ben’s stat-“ but she cut herself off when she saw Bri standing in the entrance of the courtyard, holding a boy that looked identical to Ben against herself, “oh shit.”
But the fight waged on with the rest of the siblings.  Diego pulled out his knives, eager to fight.  Vanya’s eyes widened, “DIEGO, NO!”
He threw them, and one grazed Luthor, showing the world his primate form.  Embarrassed, he rushed to leave, but stopped next to Allison when he noticed Bri.
“You never know when to stop, do you?” Vanya spat, glaring at Diego.
“You got enough material for your sequel yet?”
“He was my father too!”
The two turned to leave as well, but just like their other siblings, they stopped when they spotted the final triplet.  Klaus looked up from his cigarette, and it nearly fell out of his mouth.
“I did not see that coming.”
The apparition beside him faded, and Klaus knew it was an instantaneous reaction, something that he would deal with later.
“I told you it wasn’t okay…” Dot said quickly, looking at her sister.  Dani glared at Bri and the little boy.
“I-is that what I think it is?”
“I’m not a what!” the boy said firmly, pushing away from his mother’s side.  He held her hand, but he looked at his aunts and uncles before his attention turned towards Luthor.  The leader of the team’s breath caught in his throat as he felt like he was in some sort of déjà vu.
“Y-you look just like…”
“You destroyed my dad’s statue…” the boy replied softly, glaring at him.
“I-I didn’t mean to…I-“
“Mom…you were right,” the little boy muttered, leaning into her side once more, “we shouldn’t have come.”
Diego gave a heavy sigh, staring at the monocle that he’d taken from the house.  His heart ached as he looked at it, and all he could think about was earlier.
Briana had a secret child with Ben.
He felt sick to his stomach.
It all made sense.
How she disappeared, but Reginald was insistent that she was okay and just ‘in college’.  How he was sure that the Umbrella Academy would ‘live on’ even when the team was failing.  He’d always shielded her and made it so that he could never find her.  Years of research left him empty-handed.
But there she had been.
Raising Ben’s child, the whole time.
He looked back at the car, seeing Klaus talking to himself.
“DIEGO, COME ON!” Klaus called after a moment.
Diego dropped the monocle into the water, feeling angry that Reginald had not only kept her secret, but in a way, he’d also felt that he was responsible for his failed relationship.  Part of him wondered if he hadn’t have fucked up, if the child would be his.  If they would have had a family together.
With a heavy heart, he went back to the car.  Klaus was talking about breakfast foods, but all he could think about was her.
The little boy.
“She called him Benji,” Ben spoke, looking at Klaus after a second, “H-he looked just like I did when I was little.”
“Well obviously,” Klaus chuckled, “clearly it’s your kid.”
“What are you talking about, Klaus?” Diego asked, adjusting the rearview mirror so his eyes met with his brother.
“What Me?” Klaus asked.  Diego narrowed his eyes and shook his head, “nothing…nothing.  Breakfast.  I was thinking about breakfast.”
But he was looking across the seat to the sibling who was dressed in all black.  The spirit of his deceased brother.  Ben looked at him.
“We have to protect her, Klaus…we have to make sure Diego and Dani don’t get near her…I-I can’t let anyone hurt her.  We can’t let anyone hurt them.”
“Waffles first,” Klaus said, hoping that would end the conversation, “waffles and then planning.”

📸 CAMERA for Dani!
📸 CAMERA - do they enjoy having their picture taken? what's their go-to pose? do they like taking photos? what do they take photos of?
Dani L doesn’t much like having her picture taken unless it’s with other people like her friends at a party etc or with her adopted brother (though he’s usually taking the photos)
Dani P also prefers group photos but she herself is like super photogenic. She’d love to get herself on the front page of Wizards Weekly and maybe start her own clothing line

BIOGRAPHY
Charlie’s childhood was, for all intents and purposes, pretty perfect. She had loving parents, an older brother whom she adored. The only thing that set her apart from other kids was that she and her family were also witches. Born into a small, close-knit coven on the outskirts of London, Charlie was one of the youngest in the coven, and as such was doted on by everyone. She struggled a little in her learnings, always failing in memorizing spells or brewing potions just right but she tried her best and honestly, life was pretty perfect.
Until it wasn’t.
She was barely thirteen when her coven was attacked by a group of humans- armed with fear and weapons. Charlie only made it out alive thanks to her brother’s quick-thinking and her mother’s sacrifice, allowing her time to escape with nothing more than the clothes on her back and a backpack hastily thrown together with some potions and her family spellbook. She was also given her mother’s protection necklace, passed down four generations and something Charlie hasn’t taken off since. She can still remember the screams though, can remember seeing her brother’s limp body falling to the ground in a heap and her mother jumping in front of her and an attacker, ending her mother’s life as well but giving Charlie enough time to get away.
She didn’t escape alone though (thankfully). One other made it out with her and is the sole reason she’s still alive today--her best friend, Alex. Alex isn’t a witch though, and instead is a shapeshifter who was adopted and raised by another witch in the coven, Esmerelda. Esmerelda was her mother’s best friend and practically like an aunt to Charlie, the two families always together.
The two bounced around after that, homeless and orphaned. Nights were spent sleeping on benches or under bridges, in seedy motels, and they had to steal and fight to get by. Alex kept her safe though, they kept each other safe, and in return Charlie tried her best to not let her anger or fear show at how easily they lost everyone they’d ever loved (as well as trying not to bother him with how often she woke up from night terrors, or how often her anger at their situation would bubble inside her, threatening to explode). And through it all, Charlie vowed to never let anything like that happen again. Alex was her lifeline, her other half.
In the years following, Charlie spent less time focusing on schoolwork, and more time fully engrossing herself in her witchcraft as well as she could on her own (which wasn’t too well) without a coven. She needed to keep them safe- and keep them under the radar. Which is why she started up taking bakery jobs when she was fifteen whenever they’d stay in one town for more than a few weeks. Her mother had taught her how when she was a child and it was a way for Charlie to feel close to the woman she’d lost years ago. When she wasn’t mixing doughs though, she was pocketing free food to bring home for her and Alex.
When they were in they 18 the two decided they’d gotten all they could out of England and the dozens of towns and villages they’d jumped around from over the years. Alex had recently found out that his birthmother was still alive as well, living in America, so with cheap plane tickets (and a little magic) they were off. His mother turned out to be as awful as Charlie had feared, and Charlie wanted nothing more than to fight her, to hurt her in all the ways she’d hurt Alex. But instead she just got them out of there and was determined to make the best of their new life decision. Charlie suggested California first, since she thought it’d be fun to go someplace completely different, but they both hated it and within a few months they were on the move again. Instead of public transit and hitchhiking though, Charlie had a much more efficient idea--and thanks to a hot wiring lesson learned from her brother years ago, Charlie got them an old pickup truck and they headed off again, bouncing from town to town just like they had in England.
Along the way though, feelings were shared and revelations were had. The feelings Charlie had had for Alex for years were reciprocated, and soon after the two officially became a couple, bringing them closer--and making them happier-- than ever.
Less than two months into being a couple though, Charlie realized she was pregnant, tilting their whole world on its axis. They decided to keep the baby and, needing someplace safe to go, when word of Sleepy Hollow hit them, they decided to give it a chance, figuring they had nothing to lose if they did so.

I read your meta on how cloaks represent protection or shame. Its interesting on how Hound became so much like his brother even he hated him. Both Cleganes had murdered children(Mycah and Elia children) under the order of Lannisters and took pleasure in their death. Both have assaulted Sansa and Elia whose enemies were Lannisters. Ned was horrified by both brothers deeds. Plus Hound was toxic to Ary@ who also had witnessed Gregor crimes. Yet people think Hound is a hero.
(in reference to this post)
I think Sansa’s thought about him is pretty accurate: He is a dog, just as he says. A half-wild, mean-tempered dog that bites any hand that tries to pet him, and yet will savage any man who tries to hurt his masters (ACOK, Sansa IV). This is right after the Hound saves her, and she attempts to thank him for him to respond by bragging about killing people, women and children, and place his sword to Sansa's throat: "He laid the edge of his longsword against her neck, just under her ear. Sansa could feel the sharpness of the steel."
So, IMO, Sansa is more right in her assessment of him than his fans. The Hound killed a child because he was told to. When he goes on to say, "If there are gods, they made sheep so wolves could eat mutton, and they made the weak for the strong to play with" it's because, this is how he has lived. He believes this. Yes, he believes it because he suffered it, but he has now internalized it. That’s why he is capable of slaughtering Mycah without a thought, why he treats Sansa so cruelly for no reason. She is the weak thing he might play with, and when he goes to her room to rape her, it's a clear follow through on his perception of himself as the wolf and Sansa his meal.
What’s striking is that in spite of who he is, Sansa’s kindness reaches him. She isn’t wrong to identify him as a reflexively violent person, but because of who she is, a reflexively kind person, he does treat her with uncharacteristic care a few times. Others treat him like an animal, he does his best to convince Sansa he is an animal, he behaves as an animal, but then, just when he is about to rape her, he can't do it, he doesn't follow through. That’s not because of his own beliefs but because of Sansa's goodness, her kindness, her mercy which draw him in and move him, in spite of himself.
It's so frustrating that a moment about how Sansa's bravery and mercy saved her is dismissed in favor of romanticizing a man who planned to rape her. Some fans have pointed out the parallels between Sansa and Elia, but it hadn't clicked for me before that Elia was raped and murdered by one Clegane and that the other wanted to do the same to Sansa. That’s a great point though because Martin is very interested in how characters can become like abusers. It  isn't an accident that Tyrion is so much like Tywin, that Dany starts to  adopt some of the beliefs and even the language of Viserys…For the Hound to intend to do the same as his brother there, it fits. Horrifying.
Anyway, I’d say the point of their interactions isn’t to convince the audience that the Hound is a hero, it’s the opposite. I think the idea is to give us a clash of two worldviews, the Hound’s and Sansa’s. Sansa’s wins because the author believes in Sansa’s.
When the Hound again places a blade to Sansa’s throat, and means to act on his beliefs, to rape her, if he was right about how the world works, Sansa wouldn’t have escaped. But instead, it is not a sword or brute strength that wins the day, it isn’t force, but a hand on his cheek that stops him. In that moment, it is Sansa who is the heroine, Sansa who not only saves herself, but saves the Hound. I assume that’s what readers are supposed to understand from the earlier lines, “she even sang for Tyrion the Imp and for the Hound. He is no true knight but he saved me all the same, she told the Mother. Save him if you can, and gentle the rage inside him” (ACOK, Sansa V).
And then, Sansa did.

Hi! I saw that you're looking for prompts. For DP, how about Jazz finding out that Vlad cloned Danny and about Danielle?
ao3
Jazz Fenton likes to think that she’s a fairly grounded person.
There had been the initial shock, of course, when she realized that her nerdy, dorky, baby brother was, in fact, the Danny Phantom--ghost turned ghost hunter extraordinaire--but after the first couple of minutes of realigning her world to accommodate for this huge, life changing realization, she was back to being her usual, unshakable person.
Over the past year or so, she’s continued to maintain that maturity. No matter how many scrapes or misadventures Danny and his weird friends somehow drag her into--or the tragically laughable amount of stress her parents put on her to be the adult--she always manages to pull through.
Being Danny’s rock is what Jazz prides herself in. She likes being the person that he turns to for help, or comfort, or just to complain to for a couple of hours.
And god, yes, she knows it’s lame that the majority of her validation lies solely in whether or not her baby brother wants to spend time with her, but who cares? She and Danny didn’t really inhabit the same space for years, but now they found themselves orbiting around the same secrets, confiding to one another.
There was hardly a facit about Danny’s life that Jazz didn’t know about--from his weird antagonistic relationship with Vlad Masters to the crush he still distantly harbored on Valerie Gray.
So imagine Jazz Fenton’s surprise when she opens Danny’s bedroom door, on a chilly afternoon in October, to find two Danny Fenton’s sitting on the floor.
“Jenga,” one of them says as the tower topples over.
The one with the shorter hair--her Danny, if Jazz is guessing correctly--rolls his eyes. “That’s not how you win Jenga. Oh, hi Jazz.”
The Danny with the ponytail, wearing a crop top that clearly came out of Sam’s closet, whips their head around. “Oh! Hi!” They jump to their feet with a disconcerting amount of energy.
Other Danny follows more warily. “Jazz, this is Danny.”
“With an i,” Danny--Dani adds quickly, a flash of a smile on her (?) face. “Hi. Oh, I already said that, didn’t I?”
“Hi,” Jazz says, faintly back. She looks from Dani to Danny. “I-Danny what is. What.”
Danny--the first Danny, her Danny--rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. “So, funny story,” he begins--an immediate tell that indicates that this isn’t going to be a funny story-- “but you remember how Vlad was trying to get me-”
“To dump your family and let him adopt you? Yeah, I think I remember him being generally creepy about it.” She doesn’t take her eyes off Dani. “What’s that got to do with you having a secret twin?”
“Clone,” Dani corrects. She drops down onto Danny’s messy bed and stretches out. “I’m Danny’s clone.”
Jazz blinks. Stares at Dani. Turns to Danny.
“Vlad cloned you,” she says flatly.
“Yup.”
“Vlad was so obsessed with having you as his kid that he created a biological clone of you.”
“Sums it up. And before you ask, yeah, she can go ghost.”
Jazz has a hazy memory of a Danny Phantom look alike running around Amity a week ago. She closes her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose as an oncoming headache makes itself known. “Great. So there’s two of you.”
“Not for long, I’m just visiting,” Dani replies, looking unbothered by Jazz’s existential crisis.
“She was having issues with her,” Danny flicks his fingers awkwardly, “ghost form. Val and I fixed it.”
“Val and you-”
“Oh yeah, she’s cool,” Dani says, with the same love-struck look in her eye that Danny gets when talking about the red-clad ghost hunter.
Goddamnit, there really are two of them now, Jazz glumly thinks.
“You could stay, you know,” Danny says, a bit shyly to his lookalike. “Val is cool with you now, and none of us would mind. Right, Jazz?”
Jazz can barely handle one Danny, let alone two of them. But this kid looks like she’s barely over twelve and not a day wiser.
Jazz is also keenly aware that this girl doesn’t have her own Jazz Fenton in her life.
“It’d be really cool if you did,” she says, forcing a smile on her face. “I’m sure we could spin some story about a long-lost cousin to Mom and Dad.”
Dani perks up in tandem with Danny. It’s cute. And annoying.
God, two of them.
Jazz mentally upgrades her status of big sister to one annoying ghost brother to big sister of two annoying ghost siblings. She’s a bit more pleased about it than she lets on. Heaven forbid she has two Danny’s with an ego.
“So,” she says with a sigh, sitting on the floor in front of the massive pile of jenga bricks. “Jenga?”

@sunshinespear reblogged your post “@tinibellbeanie reblogged your post “Do you think...”
aw i’m so sad you didn’t mention Oedipus Rex correlating to Cersei’s prophecy.  One of the first tales of a prophecy happening in unexpected ways/trying to “forestall or subjugate” fate will only doom you/trying to escape fate is what makes it happen
synopsis for those who dont know all of Oedipus Rex, the original Greek tragedy: Oedipus was told by an Oracle he would become a king one day, but that he would also murder his father, marry his mother, and have children with her. Disgusted and frightened, but convinced he could avoid his fate, Oedipus fled his home and his parents. on the road he ran into a quarrel with a common-looking man and killed him. When he arrived in the new city, he immediately fell in love with the beautiful queen who happened to be looking to marry. they got married, had some children, and several years later - i can’t remember who told him - he found out that he was actually adopted at birth and never told his true parentage. the queen Oedipus had married was actually his birth mother, the widow of the common-looking man he had killed on the road whom was actually the old king and his true father. When he found out the truth Oedipus went feral and killed his mom-wife, his sibling-children, and himself.
i for one cannot WAIT to see the ways cersei tremendously dooms herself, the twist in the prophecy she never saw coming or that she never could have possibly conceived (arianne as the queen - which not a lot of ppl have proffered because they think it’s gonna be dany - and jaime being the valonqor are my two favorite theories), and just how she breaks down when that happens
Oh sure, I mean these are two tropes as old as storytelling itself - You Can’t Fight Fate and the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy. Any given culture around the world will probably have a story, if not lots of stories, in its folklore or mythology around the same general idea: character gets given a prophecy, character tries to avert fulfilling the prophecy, character fulfills the prophecy anyway. And indeed, GRRM himself has spoken on another story in this vein which influenced his writing of prophecies in ASOIAF:
Surely the plot is very unpredictable despite all the prophecies you give to help us...
[Laughs] Prophecies are, you know, a double edge sword. You have to handle them very carefully; I mean, they can add depth and interest to a book, but you don’t want to be too literal or too easy... [sic] In the Wars of the Roses, that you mentioned, there was one Lord who had been prophesied he would die beneath the walls of a certain castle and he was superstitious at that sort of walls, so he never came anyway near that castle. He stayed thousands of leagues away from that particular castle because of the prophecy. However, he was killed in the first battle of St. Paul de Vence and when they found him dead he was outside of an inn whose sign was the picture of that castle! [Laughs] So you know? That’s the way prophecies come true in unexpected ways. The more you try to avoid them, the more you are making them true, and I make a little fun with that.
Cersei is so desperate to avoid her prophesied doom, but in trying to make her conclusions fit her worldview, she is only preventing herself from realizing the actual interpretation. Tyrion - the “Imp”, the “monster” who is supposed to have killed her mother being born - fits all too well for Cersei as an answer for the valonqar, the “little brother” destined to murder her; as a consequence, Cersei completely ignores any other possibility, even though she very clearly has another “little brother” (and one with whom she has been in a mutually toxic and destructive relationship). Likewise, because Cersei has always believed that her destiny is to.be queen, and because Cersei believes in the (Tywin) Lannister idea of Lannister supremacy above everyone else, Cersei cannot envision a violent overthrow of the system which empowered her to be queen; consequently, the only way she can imagine a younger and more beautiful queen taking everything from her is as her own daughter-in-law, working within that same system. Cersei is wrong on both fronts, and like Macbeth, like Oedipus, like every victim of prophecy throughout time, she’s going to realize it to her cost.
