A short progress update on chapter two of Out of the Yinshan!

The main sections are done and half of it is already revised, so it should be readable.

So what's left now are the choices, which are about half-way done as well. What I'm dreading is writing these two particular choices, one of them (spoiler) a fight scene and the other a [redacted] with [redacted]. I think I'm going to lose all my hair writing those two scenes, haha.

Anyway. I've been writing like crazy these days, because I set myself a deadline, 30 April. Don't think I'm gonna make it lol.

Still, you can expect the update sometime soon!

I commented and pointed out to OP that the relationship during adolescence being referred to in this very good book they show is NOT child to child, but adult to child. That is the type of attachment needed for healthy development.

I also recommended the excellent book The Boy Who Was Raised As A Dog by Dr. Bruce Perry for further reading on the topic of child trauma. My comment to OP was kind and supportive, but still pointing out the error in their interpretation.

But, my comment was deleted and I got blocked.

Thing is... It could have been anyone to exorcise Crona. It just happened to be Maka. But Crona would have developed a dependency on whoever had first reached out to them. Maka isn't special. Maka was just the one who was there. And to really heal, Crona needs professional help. A romance or even a friendship isn't gonna magically solve Crona's problems. Neither will antidepressants or other drugs. Children need a positive adult attachment. This is well-established brain science, not opinion.

Highkey think y'all know that, CroMa stans, and don't wanna admit it cuz...you think it would sink your ship? 🤔 Idk. A kid can have friends, that is normal but that can't be their primary relationship. That's not healthy for anyone, and especially not for someone in deep trauma.

after LOADS of introspection, i have come to the conclusion: i don't like harry, at least not with his current personality

i realised that i was having a crush just for the sake of liking someone, and harry isn't a good person. +there's tons of prettier and kinder girls at my school

Got into the X-Men movies expecting Wolverine to be some macho strongman asshat and instead I got one of the most emotional dearhearts I've ever seen?? The first movie is about how he knows Rogue for all of ten seconds and already feels protective enough of her to risk his life for her multiple times. He cries. He has nightmares. He talks about hope like it's a real and powerful thing. He lets his rival for Jean's affections sob on his shoulder after her death. Wolverine has a beautiful heart 💙💛

ok so imagine this

eddie walking into scoops ahoy when robin and steve are working. steve is in the back. robin gives eddie his ice cream, looks at him and goes "nice bandana" cause like she knows what it means. and eddie looks at her all like 'i see you'. y'know, gay solidarity and all. that's when steve comes to the front and eddie just. stares for a second and then leaves.
