I don’t think I give this movie enough credit for having BOTH of Ethan’s parents being supportive of him and Diazo

In some scenarios, one parent is supportive while the other isn’t, and it’s usually takes a long time for the unsupportive parent to become supportive

In some other scenarios, both parents aren’t supportive and it takes a while for both of them to become supportive

So, I was surprised and super happy, that both Searcher and Meridian were supportive of Ethan and his feelings

And I’ll admit, when I was watching this scene, I thought Jaeger wasn’t going to be as supportive as Searcher and Meridian

But no, he was fully supportive of the two and tried to give Ethan advice for how to talk to Diazo before they got together

Ethan felt his face go numb and he quickly wiped his hands on the covers to hide how clammy they had gotten so suddenly.

Surely… surely not… but. Even if he did. That was a good thing! Right? It was a sign that Diazo was comfortable enough with him and wanted to take their relationship further.

But… if it was a good thing, then why didn’t he feel the same about it? If it was meant to be a sign that they were comfortable with each other, why did he feel sick at even the thought of it?

If Diazo was comfortable with the idea already, then he should as well, right? Right?! It has been a year after all. But in all that time Ethan had been dating Diazo— no. Known Diazo, he’d never felt that way about him. Or about anyone else for that matter.

Things I Have Been Harassed Over in YouTube Comments Sections

Idk if anyone else has noticed this but YouTube commenters are so fucking hostile towards anyone who doesn’t share their views...and a lot of times very racist/sexist/bigoted too...it is genuinely hard to put up with sometimes and super annoying as well, they’ll literally just gang up on one person who did nothing wrong and attack and belittle you for disagreeing with them, so here are some stupid miniscule things that I’ve been harassed over just for daring to comment my opinion on YouTube: 

* saying that Camilo/Bruno are overrated and get most of the attention in fandom compared to the female characters because of sexism 

* saying that NPD doesn’t inherently make you a bad person 

* saying that non-binary people exist 

* telling someone who ships Kataang not to throw Zutara under the bus(to the point where I was told that shipping Zutara is “shipping a Nazi with Anne Frank”) 

* saying that half-Black women and fully Black women have different experiences 

* trying to tell someone that no, Esmeralda from HoND is not Black. 😭 

* pointing out sexism in shonen anime/manga...under a video about sexism in anime/manga 

* telling someone to respect Jazmin Bean’s pronouns(they/them)...spoiler alert, they actively refused to call them anything other than she/her. 

* showing support for the Ethan x Diazo scenes in Strange World 

And much, much more.

why did they delete starboy for the stupid plushie

bro I am not part of Disney. I've just got speculation.

I guess if I had to point a finger, (aside from Ethan x Diazo and Searcher x Meridian from Strange World, bless that beautiful family), Disney protagonists in the Modern Era don't get a romance. Nobody for Judy Hopps, Mirabel, Raya, Moana. Could be a "strong lead don't need no man" thing?

I think its easier? They didn't have to cast anyone to stand up to Chris Pine and Ariana DeBose. No hiring a key animator for a human shape, just a very expressive blob with yarn you can push the face and rig around.

Valentino could have been the plush!

It's fine. It's not up to me, it's up to the creative team to get started and the executive team to railroad them. 🙃

It's fun to sift through the gems we got. Sometimes things are too polished and the fics don't stick, the ideas don't take root, the AUs are cookie cutter. At least with Wish we're all exercising our skills!
