Sometimes I feel like people in this community forget that muns are people who make mistakes. Yeah, there are some shitty people out there but not everybody is out to get you. It's so common for people to run away with a mistake or miscommunication and jump to block or pick a fight. They want people to be patient with them but they don't want to be patient with others. It's teeth out all the time for no good reason.

Summary:

The one thing Eddie loved that was, for all intents and purposes, mainstream (eugh) was M*A*S*H. Of course it was. Hawkeye Pierce was a…formative experience for a young Eddie, and he wasn't ashamed of that. The chaos Hawkeye formulated and controlled in his persona was a goal Eddie truly aspired to. His swagger and confidence and easy charm whilst also being a snarky asshole was everything Eddie wanted to embody. So. It was…frustrating when Henderson swanned into hellfire complaining about Steve goddamn Harrington having a fucking wine night (wine!! Night!!) with his mother. OR Eddie loves M*A*S*H almost as much as Steve does, and fancies himself a bit of a Hawkeye Pierce character, only to find out he is...incorrect. About a lot of things. OR OR 5 times Eddie was annoyed at Steve Harrington's apparent equal love of the war doctor show, and a few times he wasn't really annoyed at all.

A/N: sorry this one was shorter compared to the rest of my stuff so far, for this one i kinda imagined it leading into the general headcanons i did for Alastor and I didn't wanna be repetitive if i could help it. anywho, here ya go!

Type: Headcanons (Alastor x Doe! reader, general)

When initially seeing you, he's pretty apprehensive to say the least, but definitely curious. He'd seen plenty of demons since his arrival to hell: big, small, humanoid, monstrous, you name it. But he'd never seen another deer, a doe especially.

You quickly become a point of interest for the radio demon. If you were a deer like him, how deep did your similarities run? Did you have a similar mindset? Perhaps you died a death like his? Or maybe, just maybe, you had the potential to grow your powers to be as great as his? By golly, he just had to know!

So, of course, he stuck around. He made a plan too. Get close and observe.

Your first official meeting was not a meet-cute moment. Admittedly he might've gotten a little too excited and gotten ahead of himself. Came on a little too strong and freaked you out. It wasn't anybody's fault per say, you were just fresh to hell AND there'd just been an extermination too.

He'd be lying if he said he didn't find your initially skittish nature amusing. It was rather fitting for a doe, after all.

Alastor found it even more entertaining when you grew comfortable, however. Things had a habit of getting interesting when you grew bold.

Before long, he found himself enjoying your company. As it turns out, you had also died a hunting-related death, hence the deer-like attributes. Truly, he finds you to be a joy to keep around.

While he might not have a running contract with you, he would for sure keep tabs on you when he's not around. Think Razzle and Dazzle for Charlie, but a full-on Sinner Demon. He does enjoy putting some of his contracts to use, after all.

If you’re going to softblock when you get reminded to tag for something explicitly noted in my rules, why did you follow in the first place? Do you just not read peoples’ rules when you follow them? Did you not think I’d enforce it and therefore remind you? Did you not think it was there for a reason? On one hand, yes you can softblock for any reason, but doing it literally MINUTES after you’re reminded about something in my rules (and not rudely—I’m talking something like “hey, just a reminder to tag x per my rules”) absolutely screams childish and poor communicator. It tells me you’re not a very good communicator and can’t handle being reminded that you forgot to tag something or that you broke someone’s rules. That, or you’re embarrassed you didn’t read their rules in the first place and don’t want to admit it. Yuck.

Tumblr needs to understand that two groups with what are considered to be different or even opposite experiences can actually face the same issues, often within the same social systems.

Systems can have parts language forced on them when it is detrimental and other systems can have people language forced on them in the same way.

Bi people get told they'd be better if they were gay and gay people get told they're better if they're bi

Physically disabled people are told its to difficult to accommodate their needs and so are neurodivergent people.

Binary trans people get called by "they/them" while nonbinary people are told that "they/them" is to confusing as a singular pronoun and only he or she is acceptable

In our experience often the people who are doing the shitty thing are the same people in both cases. As easy as it would be if everything was nicely paired opposits where everything that happens to group a is the opposite for group b life doesn't work like that and acting like it does causes hurt and miscommunication all around.

anon literally does not mention monsters once but i am imagining this with a big, animalistic beast of a yandere,,, maybe they're just mimicking human behavior, trying to replicate the loving relationships they've seen in the villages they've devastated with their own precious, fragile human mate. you're clearly scared of them, clearly too skittish and too eager to run to ever adjust to your new life on your own, so they try to give you a nudge in the right direction - digging a gore-stained apron and a few human household staples out of their hoard and encouraging you to sweep the stone floors of their spotless den, to reenact all the scenes you should be playing out with whatever human spouse they left in a bent, broken heap while retrieving you. it's mostly for your sake, but they do get a spark of joy from seeing you all dolled up and doing your best to take care of their home, sniffling to yourself as you mop up the blood from their last meal. they can't help but pull you into their lap and lick away your warm, adorable tears - to want to take care of you the same way you take care of your shared home. they can only hope you aren't too nervous to accept their doting affection with a smile, this time <3
