Toon Omens doodles during when i was developing the story in 2020

It was an old cartoon similar to looney tunes style stuff where an angel and a demon constantly try to thwart each other, but off screen were best friends in love. So when they catch a glimpse of the show about to be canceled they have to do everything in their power to try and stop that from happening. The final episode will have the anti-christ (Adam) appear to leave the show off on a good/bad ending but the angel and demon don’t want the show to end bc if it ends, then they will never see each other again. and they love this show ):

I know the question of who was responsible for almost killing Adam is a contentious one around these parts, but I think it bears pointing out that at the end of the day, despite all the arguing back and forth about it Crowley and Aziraphale were both on the same page about going through with it regardless of which of them was holding the gun, and it was the humans who actually prevented it from happening.

Even Shadwell, who has almost zero redeeming qualities throughout this entire story, immediately balked at being told to shoot a child, and then Madame Tracy forcibly prevented Aziraphale from going through with it. They both knew that they were on their way to kill the Antichrist, and Shadwell at least had enough information to have possibly pieced together that it was the child Newt had gone to Tadfield to find—but when push came to shove, Aziraphale and Crowley were prepared to go through with it despite their misgivings and the humans weren't.

I don't know that I'm saying this makes A&C bad, or the humans better (again, Shadwell is overwhelmingly a terrible person apart from this one moment), but it's certainly one of those moments that highlights how different they are. Despite six thousand years of living among humanity, their perspective is still fundamentally non-human.

4+ years later I'm like: shit, Crowley can not only stop time in general (and fuck, that's actually fucking huge, that's not a minor miracle) but he can ACTUALLY PAUSE THE LITERAL DEVIL? WHEN HE IS SUPER MAD AND COMING FOR HIS REBELLIOUS SON?

Does Satan even know that time got paused before Adam denied him? That Crowley is responsible for Adam denying him? (Sure he knows Crowley was encouraging him in the minute, but does he know more than that?)

I'm not on board with the idea that Crowley paused time in the final 15 but this has still got to be relevant for S3.

Crowley would absolutely be sympathetic towards Cain after he killed Abel.

Think about it, Abel was the first human who died.

Cain didn't know that death was an option.

The colors...

So I am a bit, obsessed with colors in movies and shows. And how they're used to signify alliances, themes, foreshadowing etc.

Here's something that maybe was discussed a lot post Season 1 (I joined this lovely community after Season 2), but let's check out the colors of Adam's clothes, specifically his shirt:

Blue and yellow stripes, reflecting the eyes of Aziraphale and Crowley, reflecting his place in between the two of them and his opinions that fall entirely in the "shades of gray". And we know that, we know who Adam is, but to see it so clearly reflected in the costume choices is just neat.

Neil mentioned returning characters and I think we all expect Adam to make an appearance in S3. I wrote a fic that, halfway through, Adam basically ran away with and became its heart and soul. So I have a lot of thoughts. Figured I might drop a few of them here every so often.

Adam's eyes are glowing blood-red and his feet are beginning to leave the ground.

Adam: I'm going to incinerate the earth and everyone on it. Then I will rule what's left and reshape it in my image.

Crowley: We're too late. The boy's come into his full power.

But Aziraphale has been preparing for this day for 11 years. He calmly reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a candy bar.

Aziraphale: Here. Eat a Snickers.

Adam hesitantly accepts the sweet and takes a bite. Then he looks down through eyes as blue and clear as the ocean and realizes that his feet are planted firmly in the dirt.

Adam, still chewing: Thank you. I don't know what got into me.

Aziraphale: Of course. You're not you when you're hungry.

Crowley: ...

Crowley: What did I just witness?
