Drabble; The Win-Win Meet-Cute Pt. 1

“—We’re receiving a shipment of wool from the higher regions this afternoon, which will be distributed—“ “Yeah, can you make it a passion fruit smoothie this time? If I drink one more mango smoothie, I’m gonna start to look like one! Hah!” He laughs loudly at his own joke, the sound of it echoing off of the walls of the cavernous recreation room and interrupting the monotone droning of his day planner. It’s a startling contrast to the gentle lapping sounds of water brushing against the artificial banks of his indoor lake, and Kuzco can see the day planner cast him an unimpressed look over the top of his scroll from the corner of his eye.

The room was designed with one specific purpose in mind; relaxation. His own personal oasis within the palace, where he can go to clear his mind and rejuvenate himself after a long advisory meeting, or a busy morning. The walls are a muted yellow, in a stone motif that continues on to the floor surrounding the built in lake in the center of the room. Natural trees, shrubs and rock line the banks of the lake, giving the room an outdoorsy feel— despite the small walking bridge and the waterslide sitting on one side, of course. In short; It’s paradise. Over the top extravagant? Sure, but it was built before his ‘nice guy’ transformation, and just because he’s changed for the better now doesn’t mean he can’t still enjoy it. “Very good sir, will that be all?”

“Yeah, for right now. Thanks, Manu.” Kuzco heaves a contented sigh once he’s calmed down from his laughing fit, and readjusts himself on his floating lounge chair. The butler— Manu; He’s making a point to learn his staff’s names and to become more approachable— takes it as the dismissal it is, and turns to leave the room. Undeterred by the interruption, the day planner clears his throat and resumes reading from his scroll, following Kuzco from his place on the banks of the lake as he drifts lazily around in the center. “As I was saying, sir. The shipment will be distributed first to the city—“ “Your highness!” The panicked voice of the Royal Record keeper shatters the serenity of the room once more, startling both the day planner and Kuzco who almost upends his floating lounge chair in alarm. Huffing as he makes his way into the room, the stout man skids to a stop at the edge of the bank nearest him and beckons him closer with a frantic hand motion. His day planner sighs, throwing his hands up in frustration at the realization that his schedule is a lost cause, and turns to leave the room in the direction the Royal Record keeper came from. Kuzco would find it amusing, if not for the sense of dread falling over him at the sheer panic in the record keepers face. “You know this is supposed to be my no-work zone, right? It’s the relaxation room, not the ‘stress-Kuzco-out-beyond-belief room’, . . .room.” Despite his words, Kuzco weakly paddles his way over to the bank with his hands, sloshing water around as he goes. “I understand, sire. But you have to see this! When we were going over the books, we came across a previously undiscovered clause in the prior Emperor— your father’s—  decree that directly impacts your right to the throne.” Now fully alarmed, Kuzco tries to gingerly disembark his floating chair so he can see the scroll for himself, and instead manages to upend it, sending him splashing into the water of the lake. It only takes a moment for him to come back up, heaving in a lung full of air as he does so and stubbornly ignoring the amused look on the record keeper’s face. “Okay yeah, great— dad got a little crazy with the pencil back in his day. What does that mean for me?” Kuzco grunts, wading through the water with angry strokes as he makes his way towards the rope ladder that will leave him out. “Well, uh. Plainly speaking, it means that unless you— “

“— Unless I pick a bride, or earn a diploma stating that I received a formal education, I forfeit my right to the throne! Can you believe that?!” The scroll in question is slammed down atop the dining table in Pacha’s hut, a seething Kuzco breathing raggedly as he waits for vindication for his anger from Pacha and Chicha, who are staring at him with matching blank looks of confusion. When he’d first heard about the decree from the records keeper, he went on a rampage— demanding to see the previous decrees and insisting this was a mistake, or some sort of obvious trick set in place by Yzma in her jealousy. A week went by with royal historians scouring through the archives, and Kuzco worriedly pacing the halls of the palace while he waited for confirmation.

When the verdict returned, the very first person he thought to go to about the matter was Pacha. After everything they’ve been through, he’d begun to think of the peasant as not only a friend, but a fatherly figure of sorts. If anybody knew what to do; it would be Pacha. And Chicha; that woman is a force to be reckoned with. So without further complaint, and against the record keeper’s urging for him to keep this knowledge to the inner circle of advisors, Kuzco packed his belongings and announced that he would be heading to his summer get-away hut once more. “It was supposed to take effect by my eighteenth birthday, but I guess with me being ‘dead’ and all, and Yzma taking over the throne it got overlooked. Oh! I bet that’s why they were pushing so hard for me to pick a bride! It all makes sense now!” Kuzco realizes, slapping a hand against the side of his head in exasperation. Pacha and Chicha share another look, and Chicha reaches out to take the scroll so she can read over it herself. “What am I gonna do? Unless I find a bride in the next few days, they’re going to make me go to the local school I funded years ago to get the village council off my back. Me! In public school. With peasants!” He groans, overdramatic and allows his head to fall down to the table, completely missing Pacha’s dry look at the mention of being stuck with peasants. As if he wasn’t sitting in a peasants home right now, asking for advice.

👤 NEW YORK 🎵 1990'S ⏪ ▶️ ⏩ Come spend a summer in New York. The sun sets a little differently over the Empire State. 

「 Bruno's always been the odd one on his block. He works as a drywaller but has hopes of making a living writing for Broadway. His family is pretty well known around town, but he's always preferred to keep a low profile. Bruno's best friend, Luigi (Super Mario Bros.), runs a plumbing business with his older brother in Brooklyn. They've known each other since they were kids, always being picked last for basketball or bonding over the color green.

Their other best friend is Kuzco (Emperor's New Groove), a rich kid from Upper Manhattan and up-and-coming heir to his family's billion-dollar empire. However, due to his lack of maturity and wild party-boy behavior, Kuzco has been temporarily cut off financially, forcing him to take a job as a Taxi driver.

Despite being cut off, Kuzco still has access to some perks, like the rooftop basketball court of the Sports Club his Dad owns. But Kuzco's not the only one with a hookup.

Audrey Ramirez (Atlantis: The Lost Empire), a chief mechanic engineer, can come and go as she pleases thanks to this being the gym where her Boxing Champion sister trains. She's always with her best friend and roommate, Chel (The Road to El Dorado), who is originally from Colombia and works at The Met.」 For @wdtajn crossover week!

Amber Dearly: She's a waitress but still does beauty pageant events when they're in season.

Anthony Tremaine: Jacob Lathyn (The Baker from Cinderella 2) is his dad.

Anxelin Fitzherbert: She's Goth.

Arabella: She's morally gray (and had ill intentions when she stole her granddad's trident).

Ariana Rose: Grows less jealous of Audrey over time and cuts contact with their grandmother. Is very popular in college.

Artie Pendragon: Somehow ends up with a pet dragon. No one knows how it happened.

Audrey Rose: Goes on to be the CEO she always wanted to be.

Aziz: He takes after his mother in looks and personality.

Bashful Jr.: He goes by Bash and is very popular in school.

Beezlebub (The Cat): Beelzebub is the Lucifer's least favorite kitten.

Ben: Likes building miniature models and wanted to be in a band with Ben and Lonnie when he was a kid.

Big Murph: He lost his eye as a kid when rough housing with the Gaston Twins.

Bobby Hood: He's Tiger Peony's boyfriend and a sports commentator at school.

Bobby Radcliffe: is a good friend of Artie Pendragon and is very shy.

Bonny: Is the medic of Uma's crew.

Carina Potts: Wears a cooking pot as a hat.

Carlos de Vil: He becomes Henry's mentor and gets Beelzebub back.

Carter: The 'nice' twin.

Celia Facilier: Goes on to be a very successful business woman (in whatever you think she'd go on to do).

Chaca: She's Li Shang Jr's girlfriend and Kuzco is very protective of her, much to her and his wife's bemusement.

Chad Charming: Redeems himself sometime after d3 and leaves to find himself.

Cheerful: Is emo.

Chip Potts: Babysat Ben a lot when he was younger. Has 13 siblings. He works at the castle.

Chloe Charming: Learned a lot of what she knows in ROAR from Lonnie.

Claudine Frollo: She had red hair and is left handed.

Clay Clayton: He's a party animal and is very hard to take out in a fight.

Crabby: is actually quite pleasant to be around.

Crocodile Descendants: They love tormenting Captain Hook and wrestling.

Cubby: He handles Neverland Academy's finances.

Danny Darling-Cooper: He's good at tourney and ROAR.

Derek: He's a selective mute and carries a bell around to get his friends' attention when they're arguing.

Derelict (Electric Eel): He's the friendly eel.

Desiree: She's one of the most wild pirate kids. Even when compared to her crewmates.

Diego de Vil: His most popular song is titled 'Kill the Beast'.

Dizzy Tremaine: She joins Evie's business when she graduates and her jewelry becomes very popular.

Doc II: Goes by Raphael.

Doug: Evie helps him meet his favorite band (The Dragon Players) on his 21st birthday.

Dude (The Dog): He is jealous of Beelzebub.

Eddie Balthazar: He is always tired.

Eliza: She becomes more of a rebel as she grows up and is always backing Jane up when FG gets difficult (like most parents do).

Elle: She's adopted.

Emir (number 26): He's Aziz's younger brother and is a lot like his dad, personality wise. He does not like his mom's cousins.

Evie: She is Dizzy's half sister.

Finn the Mer-Boy: He works at neverland academy but also remains as Neverland's Protectors (kicking entitled tourist out when they cause too much non fun trouble/damage).

Freddie Facilier: Is banned from being alone with Jordan because those two are just as bad as Ally and Cj when alone together.

Gaston Jr.: He relates a lot to Luisa Madrigal. He also walks with a limp after a failed escape attempt he and his father attempted (he nearly drowned).

Gaston The 3rd.: He's the smart twin.

Gesundheit: Cannot for the life of him spell his name.

Gil: Has stolen a penguin from the zoo with Jay, Chad, Harry, and Carlos before.

Ginny Gothel: Is allergic to flowers. Her middle name is flower.

Gordon: Is a mechanic.

Hadie: Has a villain phase as a teen that no one takes seriously.

Hamish of DunBroch: He works with bears.

Hana: She is the royal party planner in her kingdom.

Hap: He's a hippie/hipster mixture and has a van he customized himself.

Harriet Hook: She has a hip high rose tattoo and broke Anthony Tremaine's nose once when she was 12.

Harris of DunBroch: Will not hesitate to bite people in fights even as an adult.

Harry Badun: He is a detective and has made it his job to make everyone behind the isle and every bad isle adult's lives hell. He will also make up outrageous theories to mess with people he doesn't like.

Harry Hook: Is good at art and has Dyscalculia.

Henry: He's a long lost de Vil.

Herkie: He has his dad's personality and strength but his mama's brain and kinda looks like a blend of his parents.

Hermie Bing: She has a variety of circus related skills, loves clowns, has a sweet tooth, and wears very colorful clothes.

Hubert of DunBroch: Loves reminding his sister of how she turned him into a bear all the time.

Hunter de Vil: His influencer career takes off when the barrier is brought down.

Ivy de Vil: She's allergic to hair dye and becomes a great model when off the isle.

Izzy: She's ROAR instructor at Neverland Academy.

Jace Badun: His mom was a strong woman at the Ringmaster's circus. He is the most exasperated person you will ever meet.

Jack/Korak: He prefers 'Korak' over Jack. He takes after his dad looks wise but his mom personality and fashion wise.

Jade: She has tons of scars from the crocodile wrestling.

Jake: Because of him, Princess Pirate, Finn, Stormy, Marina, Izzy, and Cubby all grew up.

James Brown Jr.: He works at a candy shop.

Jane: She's a big gossip and she and Carlos both bonded over this.

Jane Darling-Cooper: She's a teaching assistant at Neverland Academy.

Jay: He sleeps with a stuffed tiger but will deny it if asked.

Jenna: She's Aziz's oldest sibling and is the heir to the throne. She has a pet Elephant.

Jonas: He's Uma's cousin.

Jordan: She's the one who created the secret Agrabah Club at school (along with Aziz).

La Foux Doux: He's younger than LeFou Deux and loves puppet shows.

Li (number 85): His parents took creative liberty with his name without checking to see if that spelling already existed.

Lil Yaz: He died of appendicitis after d1. He was morally grey/apathic and had eyes for Quinlynn Hearts.

Lina: Jasmine was her favorite babysitter and she in turn, ended up babysitting the younger of Jasmine's kids when she was in Agrabah.

Lucifer: Lucifer often escapes from the saloon and gets on everyone's nerves.

Lulu Brown: She's much younger than her brother, Jim/James Brown Jr. and is a very good at ballet.

Mad Maddy: She has quite the sweet tooth.

Madam Mim's granddaughters: No one is sure how many there are or how they came to be.

Maddox Hatter: He's an inventor and is very close to Red.

Mal: She grows up a lot after the royal wedding and gets back in touch with her artistic side.

Marina the Mermaid: She's the swim coach at Neverland Academy.

Red Hearts: Red is just a nickname. She's also in the school newspaper.

Reza: He is very interested in forensics and was adopted by Mozenrath and Sadira. He has two younger siblings.

Rick Ratcliffe: His middle name is 'Perseus'. Yes, after the pug. And he has a habit of saving people from drowning/bodies of water.

Ruby Fitzherbert: She's shy and artsie.

Salima: She's a middle child now.

Sammy Smee: He's an inventor and a book worm.

Scarlet: She's Carter's twin and is considered the 'evil' twin.

Shy: His name is very fitting because he really is shy.

Sleepy Jr.: He's a gamer.

Snoozy: Snoozy is a night owl.

Sophie: She's Snow White's eldest child.

Spotted Hyenas: They like tormenting Gaston but not his kids.

Squeaky Smee: He's a selective mute.

Stabbington cousins: They're only known by their nicknames by those outside of their family (and for good reason, since they're secretly Westergaards).

Stormy The Mermaid: She becomes a hippie when's older and mellows out.

The Sea witches: They're the daughters of Ursula's sisters.

The Tweedledum and Tweedledee cousins: They all have varying shades of red hair.

The Wicked Step-Granddaughters: The seven that are Drizella's are Hans' daughters as well. If any are Anastasia's, they're adopted.

Tiger Peony: She's a hippie vegetarian who's really into Tourney but doesn't play.

Tipo: He learns to cook from Kronk and helps him out with  Camp Chippamunka during the summer when he's older.

Tyrone (number 32): He's Tiana and Naveen's son. Lotte spoiled him, lol.

Uma: She gets her OWN sea phonies after d3 and she keeps her shark friends as well.

William (number 12): Wendy's oldest son and Jane Darling's younger brother.

Yi-Min: She's good at tourney as well as Swords and Shields.

Yupi: He is Kuzco's favorite 'nephew'.

Yzla: She's good at gymnastics.

Zam: He is the oldest of the kids in Yzma's family and has also caught his cousins doing weird things most often.

Zellie: She's the oldest of Flynnpunzal's kids.

Zephyr: He looks more like his mom as he grows up.

Zevon: His dad (and his siblings' dad) is Cedric from Sofia the first. His mom also accidentally turned him into a llama as a baby.

Zim: He still practices chemistry but the idea of being evil bores him.

speaking of tv tropes i hate that the page for kuzco from the emperor's new groove has him listed as ambiguously bi because he's into malina in the tv series + "has some odd overtones" with pacha in the movie 😭 shut upppp that's literally his found family dad. if you want to call him ambiguously bi using malina as evidence then you can also use the character ramon from the series, who's supposed to be a rival for malina's affections but who kuzco talks about like this:

I went to Galaxycon 2024 in Richmond yesterday with my Dad and best friend. Had an absolutely fantastic day! I cosplayed as Percy Jackson (reached a point I took off my wig cause my head hurt). my best friend was Padmè. Got a Photo-Op with three main voice actors for The Clone Wars: James Arnold Taylor, Ashley Eckstein, and Matt Lanter! Got a surprise photo with the legendary writer of X-Men comics, Chris Claremont! Who signed my copy of the New Teen Titans and Uncanny X-Men crossover. I also got my first issue of DC's Amethyst Princess of GemWorld signed by it's writer Gary Cohen, funny story last year I found out too late he was gonna be at the Con so I did have any of my Amethyst comics with me but when I came back this year to his table, he looked at me and said "No wait, let me guess what you have. Amethyst Princess of GemWorld." He actually REMEMBERED ME from last year which surprised me GREATLY, especially since I was Supergirl last year.

My best friend got autographs from the show Psych's actors Maggie Lawson and Timothy Omundson. So I got to speak with them and tell Timothy he did an amazing job for the Disney Plus series, Percy Jackson as Hephaestus.

Also got to meet the voice of mine, and literally everybody else's childhood, Tara Strong! She's amazing and so sweet I absolutely love her!

I also got to meet Amir Talai who voices Alastor the Radio Demon from Hazbin Hotel and got his autograph. He's super nice and was a pleasure to talk with.

Cosplayer pictures are me with Hela from Thor Ragnarok cosplayer, and two people as Patcha and Kronk with Yzma and Kuzco from Disney's The Emperor's New Groove.

Headcanon: Wompy Bear

Wompy bear was the first toy he’d received from his mother, and the only physical thing he has left of his parents. Once they perished and Yzma was left to raise him, she ordered most of their belongings to be dumped into the sea as a ‘tribute’ to them, under the ancient custom that an Emperor is to carry their belongings into the next life. In reality, she was having it destroyed to make it easier for her to pave her way into becoming an Empress. But Kuzco held on to Wompy for dear life and refused to give him up for any reason. He would bring it everywhere with him; to meals, to baths, to ceremonies and then when he was slightly older, to meetings and tutoring sessions. Royal staff, upon realizing how important the stuffed toy was, made replicates that they would switch it out with when Wompy needed washed or mended. Kuzco as a child didn’t exactly notice the difference, but as he became older and more aware of what they were trying to do, he allowed them to take him from him and pretended as if it didn’t affect him, not to have him. Though he always made sure to get it back when they were finished. It became a comfort item for him, and even now that he’s an adult he holds onto it for comfort and reassurance in difficult times, or when he’s very afraid. This of course isn’t something he readily shares with anyone; he does have a fearless, arrogant, vain Emperor image to keep up, after all.

so when camp entre (truffula flu) was in its death throes, i kinda saw the end coming over the horizon and was already thinking "well, i'm really attached to a lot of the things we've done here what if i made an original webcomic based on that" and so i had to start populating it

now we get to the next part of ace's development. so when i made him he was kinda just..on the backburner but! i got the idea to try and put him in thneedville/thornville high and develop him there, but i Also wanted there to be more girl charas in the au and i was like "well i think his personality would be really interesting in a girl chara" so i made him a girl for my concept for that au

him and his twin (was gonna be run by spike/rocky's mod) they were Ace and Anna (i think..) he still has the kinda original look here even if i made it a bit more feminine. he also doesnt have a twin anymore. i joke he absorbed her in the womb and that's why he's so lucky.

bc the thing i kept was when i originally made him (cis male), his name was gonna be Dwayne and he just chooses to go by Ace bc its a cooler name. and when i made him a girl his name was gonna be equally embarrassing so he..still ended up going by Ace. (i kept it. it's his deadname now LMAO) bc after the highschool au was a Flop for me, i was like well no i want him to be a guy again but decided to make him trans bc i didnt have a trans chara yet and i thought it was Time, especially as a trans man myself, to have a chara with those sorts of experiences like me :3

in his mainverse (zombie apoc comic whenever that happens) i keep him early-mid 30s and typically that's the age-range i default to and have done the most to Set Up for. i like him being old enough to make a name for himself and be Set (before whatever plot happens to tear it all apart) and also being in that age but having the tendencies of a manbaby. it's funni to me

however in the cult au i want to eventually get running on a blog, he's going to be a senior in high school and being a teen is the general age-range i go for for that au

i'm a chronic multi-shipper especially with my own ocs, so he's had flings with a lot of my friends' and former-friends' ocs, but the main chara i default to (and is canon in his canon universes) is Andrew :3

his favorite things to do: be right, be correct, other people be wrong but not him, mobile games like candy crush, poker, card-tricks, darts, billiards, blackjack, craps, you get the idea he likes to gamble and do stuff you find in bars, he also likes singing, he also likes getting his way by any means necessary like it's a thrill for him to outplay and even manipulate other people so that things end up in his favor when luck isn't already working for him, he likes to show off but only when it works and people fawn over him for being so cool and skilled. oh yeah he also lowkey likes pranks and trolling ppl but he doesn't do it a ton? so i wouldn't call him A Prankster, but he does enjoy it.

he hates doing things that are the opposite of all that. like he hates being wrong, loathes losing, he hates being bored, hates getting dirty, hates too much manual labor, hates being inconvenienced especially in the smallest ways (but he does like a Challenge so this isn't the same thing as that), he hates emotions especially confronting or even recognizing his own that aren't happy good time emotions, he hates crying (him or other ppl)

the thing about him is he complains and bitches and moans about the smallest shit but if something Big and Serious were to happen to him either emotionally or physically, he'd play it off like he's fine. he's okay (he promises). like he'll whine about a paper cut all day but catch him with a mortal wound tearing through his middle and he'll hide it and march on til the blood-loss gets him. he's just That Guy.

Why you should watch "The Deer King" (2021)

It's beautiful

He's not emphasized well in the marketing because most of it is Van and Yuna, but the actual deuteragonist of the film is Dr. Hohsalle, and he's beautiful. Imagine Xie Lian but he's a doctor. This isn't subtext, in the books the narrative switches POVs between them (well between Van, Makokan, and Hohsalle). Van and Yuna's relationship is still important obviously, but it kind of took over the marketing entirely for whatever reason (I think because they sort of animated a book illustration featuring them). DO NOT BE FOOLED

The music is a bit random but lovely. The credits song destroyed me.

It's kind of like Princess Mononoke in a lot of ways but more focused on lots of pyuika (flying deer), rebellion, and dealing with a disease outbreak. Still important themes of found families, imperialism, assimilation, and erasure of local beliefs and groups. Also if you like Sword of the Stranger, this is kind of that but with deer and wolves instead of swords and a Shiba Inu.

Did I mention Hohsalle I don't think I mentioned Hohsalle (here's some GIFs because I don't think I mentioned him)

Did you like Seirei no Moribito? Uehashi Nahoko, the same person who wrote that, wrote this (well the books it's based on), and it's pretty similar, just with a dad and a daughter this time, and a higher budget. Epic fantasy films based on books written by women 11/10.

Crown Princess Ziula is 17 years old, her birthday is on May 6th. Ziula is a fun loving girl, priortizing her happiness over serious matters. Don’t get it wrong, she understands why they must be done but she rushes to get important things over with and then will throw a pool party in honor of how hard she worked. She is an extroverted girl who needs to feel appreciated in order to keep functioning. Stubborness is one of her main flaws, she just finds it very difficult to admit she was wrong about something and is not known for apologizing, verbally at least. She is a great dancer and used to be on the cheer team but had to quit because she kept doing her own thing instead of following choreography.

Ziula, believe it or not, is the current Student Council President of Pendragon High. She does a good job, especially talented in organizing and planning events. The more serious matters are entrusted to her vice-president, Su Huang. They are best friends which was started by them both being daughters of Emperors and they’ve evolved into a great duo of enthusiasm and professionalism. Their dads have also become friends through their daughters, family day is always a blast with all four of them together!

Her dad is Emperor Kuzco and her mother is Empress Malina, a famous journalist. She has a younger brother named Manu who is 5 years younger than her. Their dad insisted on being active in raising his children, not wanting to hand them over to caretakers like he was. She gets along great with both her parents, her brother is annoying but she does care for him and is a protective big sister. Summer vacations were spent with Pacha and his family, just like he taught Kuzco he made sure she was kind and considered other people’s feelings.

Ziula is on the short side at 5′2 but ignores this when she can, she’d rather parkour around the kitchen than ask anyone for help. She has long black hair and dark brown eyes. She influenced the school into having relaxed uniform rules, as long as you wear something red it’s counted as a uniform. For the students who don’t care much for fashion and/or appearance there is still the standard uniform they wear but not for Ziula! She is always seen in a red dress, sandals and lots of gold and teal jewelry.

Fun facts about Ziula are: she is left handed, she has a huge collection of Llama plushies and she despises physical touch.

The Exciting Adventures of Getting Lost

In hindsight it really wasn't a smart idea, two Crown Princesses who have never walked anywhere without being escorted going into the forest alone. It started when the school suggested a bonding activity for students, a forest hike! The Student Council was excited for this plan, Ziula and Su Huang immediately got to working on it. First, at the urging of Su Huang, they handled the logistics like: How many students? Which teacher will join? When and at what time? Then they got to the route, a map was given to them but the princesses didn't have a lot of experience with reading maps. They made the foolish decision of just quickly going to look through the forest to contextualize the map. ''Here's the entry to the forest, you have the map Su Huang?'' Ziula looked back at her best friend, who was in a gorgeous red hanfu and thus not dressed for the occassion. Ziula wasn't either, in a flowy red dress with sandals, exposing her legs and parts of her feet for all sorts of plants and sticks to poke at her skin. It'd be fine, they'd just take a little look around and they'll be back at school in no time. ''Yes I have it right here'' was said in Su Huang's usual calm tone. Heading their way in they just follow a path, they converse about student council stuff without looking at their surroundings and which way they were headed. After a short while they stopped at a small pond, Su Huang looked down at the map but couldn't place exactly where they were. Ziula felt deja vu coming on, of course she'd get lost in the forest just like her dad; Here's to hoping she wouldn't have to face any crocodiles or jaguars. Su Huang noticed her friends shift in demeanor and spoke up: ''If we stay calm we'll easily find our way back, panic is the cause of most accidents.'' She sounded just like her dad, Ziula thought. ''That's easy for you to say Su, your dad didn't torture you as a kid with the story of how he was lost in the forest, I had nightmares because of it!'' she sighed and started fidgeting with her fingers, ''of course my mom told him off about it but the harm was done.'' Su Huang was sitting on a tree trunk while thoroughly studying the map, biting her lip slightly when she felt her dress getting stuck to yet another tree branch. Ziula was pacing back and forth, mumbling about how her dad was never gonna let her live this down. ''We need to think about food distribution Su!'' holding her backpack she pulled all sorts of sugary sweets that she had no business carrying around. ''May I ask why you are carrying an entire candy store with you?'' Su Huang briefly looked up with a puzzled expression, her best friend evenly splitting it all down perfectly. ''I am always ready for survival! My dad prepared me! He said being hungry was the worst part and I'm not gonna start eating grass yet.'' she exclaimed while starting on a chocolate candy bar, laying on the ground which was uncomfortable with sticks cracking under the pressure. ''Do you think people have noticed our abscence yet?'' she whines from the ground, Su Huang looks down at her with mild amusement. ''I'm sure they have, I think it's best if we stay here.'' Truly, she just didn't feel like dragging her best friend around multiple miles in the forest. What they guessed roughly an hour had passed and no help seemed to arrive. ''That's it!'' Ziula got up, multliple plants and sticks which were stuck on her dramatically fell off. ''We are going to find our own way out!'' she proclaimed, grabbing her friends hand and hastily gathering their stuff. ''I know you're the mastermind of many awful ideas but this one I really doubt'' Su Huang tried to reclaim her hand but it might've well been handcuffed to Ziula. ''I know what I'm doing! I spent my summers with Pacha and his family, I'll figure it out!'' stubbornly she made her way down a randomly chosen path. Not wanting to get seperated Su Huang just accepted her fate and followed her friend. As they walked into the unknown suddenly a familiar voice was heard. ''Ziula hello!'' she turned her head and found one of the school's teachers Kronk standing there. ''Kronk! Help we are lost!'' Ziula blurted out, ''We are? I could've sworn I knew exactly where I was.'' Kronk said confused, looking around. ''Yeah no I'm pretty sure I know this place.'' The girls were relieved, they were covered in dirt and leaves but they were happy to see their trusted teacher. ''What are you doing in the forest sir?'' Su Huang was curious and had this strange feeling their mission was about to be obsolete. ''Well the school board is trying to organize a student bonding activity and I suggested a hike! So now I'm planning the route, would you two like to join the last bit?'' her suspicions were right, they did this all for nothing. Ziula's mouth was agape, staring at the tall man in shock. ''We... we... we DID THIS ALL FOR NOTHING?!'' she had enough and her friend had to hold her back from causing any further damage to herself. Kronk escorted the girls back to the school, which was a sight to see for all the students. The elegant Ziula and the graceful Su Huang looking like they fought bears to survive for months. A picture was snapped and quickly went viral online, it's now popularly used as a reaction image for when someone has gone through it. It reached both of their fathers, the Emperor of China was slightly amused, he thought this was a good lesson for Su Huang to have learned. Emperor Kuzco was less collected about it, laughing so hard he fell out of his throne. Just like Ziula suspected he would never let her live it down, now it's one of his favorite stories to tell people even though he wasn't even there. He exaggerates the story in ridiculous manner, Ziula had to fight a jaguar with her hands tied behind her back and Su Huang had tamed a crocodile and rode on its back to safety! No one of course believes him but it was his way of showing his love for his daughter.

born to a business mogul and his socialite wife, nico is an only child (and it's obvious) who was doted on from the moment he was born

he never wanted for anything, was spoiled beyond belief, and was definitely never told no

he was raised primarily by nannies and his mom, time with his dad was precious — he traveled a lot and nico didn't get to see him
