Midoriya really shouldn’t be in relationship.

We know this human hot mess is telling the story of him becoming the N°1 hero right? And we get to see all the trauma he goes through to get there. Not only that but we also get to see how All Might‘s life is going, and how busy he is.

Have you ever wondered why All Might isn’t in a relationship? Why All Might barely has friends? ITS BECAUSE HE DOESNT HAVE TIME?? OR THE STABILITY?? And you think Izuku I-Have-Trauma-To-Spare Midoriya will not do the same thing??? Izuku I-Have-So-Many-Parallels-To-My-Mentor-Its-Ridiculous Midoriya will have the stability??? Izuku I-Can-Barely-Function-In-School-Because-I’m-Always-Fighting-Villians Midoriya will have the time???

Dont kid urself! This man is DEDICATED to becoming the N°1 hero, and will let nothing stop him. He ate a strangers (because he didn’t know Yagi at all) hair just to become a hero. He has a one track mind, and that track is always headed to hero station(choo chooo). He puts his all into becoming a hero, its the only thing he ever thinks about.

Theres absolutely no way to maintain a healthy relationship and still be the type of hero Deku is trying/going to become. He’s going to have to sacrifice something, and knowing Deku, its not gonna be his hero work.

But dont fret! There are some characters who can be in healthy relationships and still be heroes.

Bakugou is a great example. He always tries to make himself isolate, and having somebody who loves him can help him become better. Not in a “My partner is being mistreated and i use them as a therapist” kinda way, but in a “i have someone who helps me value other people and makes me see that life is good and i dont have to suffer alone anymore” kind of way.

Btw I’m not hating on people who do have ships for Midoriya as i also have ships for him. I’m just saying that its a bit less logical than you might think.

-Dont Ask Dont Tell by Ms_Chunks on Ao3. Its a fake dating au (the only troupe that matters), where Bakugou and Uraraka want to do a hero duo team up secretly, and use dating as a cover up. Its very, very dramatic, but an enjoyable read. Its also fuckin long as hell. You are gonna be reading for hours.

-Common Ground by symbioticSimplicity on Ao3. Ochako lost the spirts festival to bakugou and decides to do train to become better than him. The author revamped her entire fight style. They also said they are trained formally, so the writing is very realistic. Technically a Kirikacchako but that happens like, 2/3s of the way through, and its well written so its still worth it. Also theres a smut chapter but its the very last chapter, so i didn’t read it. All in all a fun read. Also long as hell.

Most of what i read is 1000% garbage so while i like giving fic recs, i get really nervous that I’m gonna suggest trash and ur gonna hate me lol

Its a new day, and a new opportunity to piss off people on the internet so here it is:

CLAY‘S HOT TAKES N°1

The Bakusquad is a very good and valid and CANON squad (maybe not with the name but the vibes and interaction), but only if you include Sato, resident dad friend. I know what your thinking: “I dont really care about Sato and the group already has a dad friend”. Well, ur wrong! Ur super wrong!

Kirishima is the group leader, the glue that binds the group together. Bakugou is the mascot, representing the group. Mina and Kaminari are the dynamic duo, they come in pairs and where one goes, the other follows. Then theres Sero, (usually considered dad friend) voice of reason. You may think, ”but voice of reason and dad friend are the same thing”, BUT NO!!!

The prime example of this is the Dekusquad, where Iida, resident dad friend, makes terrible decision. Tsuyu is the voice of reason.

thoughts/hcs on uraraka/bakugo?

Ok so fun fact about me: i am a kacchako fanfic enthusiast, especially fake-dating ones, so hmu if you want fic recs. Uh, anyway:

-Ship them or not, these two do have some type of connection to each other

-Ochako‘s bubbly personality offsets Bakugo’s gruffness well

-Bakugou is Neurodivergent for sure (i will elaborate somewhere else) and i feel like Ochako is very accommodating

-y’know the “someone will die” “of fun” meme? Its them.

-Ochako and him train together. She beats his ass on the regular.

-I’m ngl, these two would have a fire hero team up. It would be rocket ship themed.

-they have a mutual ”awkward relationship” with Midoriya. Not just because of past romance/bullying but also because they have both been semi-replaced in his life. The aren’t as important to him as they used to be. So they just. Avoid him. Mutually. Deku will enter a room and Ochako will just sprint to Katsuki like “heyyyy so what are we doin for lunch tomorrow“ even though they dont really each lunch together.

- Also, on days off they will just like, take each other places. Fully spontaneous. No regard for the other persons plans. Bakugou will be like “grab ur shit we are goin to applebees‘“ and Ochako will comply. They end up having an all day adventure doing stupid shit around the city

-Very different tastes in food, so they try to combine them. Only “spicy mochi” was a success so far.

Honest to god i used to ship this so hard. I’m not as crazy about it now, with my rarepairs and all, but it is still top tier in my book. Also i tried to keep these platonic, idk if ya wanted actual romance or nah.
