The past few months have been a complet mess for me. First on march, my great aunt who has been diagnosed with cancer for two years sadly passed away, this was no surprise for any of us so I was not as sad about it if I'm honest. A week before this my dad had an accident and broke his talon and had to have surgery, this was the same day my aunt passed. My dad is fine and has healed all good. Now recently, a month ago I think, my cousin, who's I have grown with, same age as me, went to same school and everything, was diagnosed with a tumor on her brain. Was about 8 cm long and was causing her really strong headaches, it needed to be extracted as soon as possible, but the operation was very expensive so our family need to collect money first. We finally met a doctor willing to do the surgery and she was operated the Thursday, I saw her yesterday and she's thankfully doing fine. While we were on this, I felt incredible sick one day while I was on college, to the point I couldn't talk anymore. I went to the neurologist and he told me to get some exams, he diagnosed with athipics migraines and since that day I've been feeling sick and sad, that was on the fifteen. I was really hoping to feel good on my birthday, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm writing this on the 27 so I hope I'm feeling better tomorrow on my birthday. Regardless I would still like to thank everyone who welcome me on this place, I really have enjoyed it. I'm really sorry I haven't been able to post anything in a while but with the family, health, college and commission matters it has been really hard.
That Helluva Short about Millie and Sallie May was kinda fitting timing for me, since today my sister came to visit me for my birthday and we went into the city, since it's also a national holiday and everything.
Though, we mainly hunted the flea markets for cheap second-hand stuff, that's always my fave thing to do on King's Day.
Afterwards we went to my place for "tompouce" (Dutch pastry) and as we were scrolling through our phones I came across an angst Stolitz video (because what other kinda videos are these two getting anymore at this point...)
I showed it to her like "They're so cute, I just want them to be happy together, but-- *incoherent mumble crying*" and my sister looked at me like I was crazy (I am).
which also means it's around the blogs birthday too! The blog is about six now, crazy how those years kinda flew by lol
Anywho, I hope you guys have a great day, and the only wish I really have is that we all take a breath and take it easy, and take an extra moment or two to remind yourself that you ARE loved, you ARE worth fighting and trying for, and you ARE deserving of respect and love!
It is officially my 21st birthday! I'm doing my best to enjoy the day, but my financial situation is still an urgent concern, since I now have only a week to move out. If everyone with the means could donate just $25, I believe my goal could be reached in time.
You can donate to my PayPal at https://paypal.me/secretlykoishi?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US or to my GoFundMe, whichever works best for you! Thank you all in advance! I'm going to try to enjoy the rest of today!
If you had told me I'd be spending my 31st birthday screaming about an imp and owl demon's relationship that they're too dumb to work out, I would've called you crazy... but here we are.
Yesterday was my birthday so I made this fast and poorly colored piece of Ren bc I LOVE HIM sm and you will now that yeah, it was my birthday lmao, enjoy ur day
These were all taken on the weekend of my birthday (Jan 6th!), back in 2012. Barney & I took a trip to a very, very old farmhouse, in the depths of Snowdonia National Park. The house belonged to a friend of a friend of my dad - they didn't live in there themselves, so to keep it from going totally to ruin, they'd let people they knew stay there, from time to time.
No internet connection, no phone signal, no tv. No shops or neighbours nearby. There were mice living in the pantry & a hole in my bedroom ceiling. The bed was so rickety & ancient, I wondered if it'd give way overnight! The walls were thick but the window panes were thin & there was no proper heating, so entire house was freezing - save for the living room, which had a fireplace.
This was the view from the front garden (before the fog rolled in).
The weather was - as is usual for January (& pretty much every other month!) - in North Wales... damp - when it wasn't actually raining, it was misty & mirky. We wandered into the mountains & explored. I didn't get many photos because the weather closed in but gosh, what an incredible place. Like stepping back in time.
Absolutely magical trip... one I still look back on fondly, so many years later.
