been working on this kuwameshi fic for the last ~2 months (it has lowkey been hell) but now that i’m nearing the end, i wanna share this excerpt that made me giggle
“What?” Merlin asked, turning around to face Arthur.
“How did you know that I wouldn’t kill you? I wasn’t even sure myself.”
Merlin looked wary for a moment before composing himself. “I didn’t,” was his short reply, before he turned back to the clothes he’d been putting away.
Unwilling to drop this now that he’d finally brought it up, he asked, “Then why didn’t you run?”
Merlin sighed then put down the remaining clothes, walking over to stand next to Arthur. “I will serve you until the day I die, Arthur. My magic, it is for you, always. If I cannot serve and protect you, then I would rather be run through by your sword.” Merlin had not looked at Arthur while he spoke, but now he looked up. Arthur stared into his eyes, seeing nothing but honesty and devotion. Somehow, his words didn’t make Arthur feel any better.
“But why? I don’t deserve your loyalty, and I’m not worth you life, Merlin.”
“You’re the King, you’re worth my life a hundred times over.” And then Arthur needed to know. he needed to know how many times Merlin had risked himself for Arthur’s sake, how many times Merlin had been injured without him knowing, how many times he had almost died. “I’m ready now.”
Merlin raised an eyebrow. “Ready for what?”
Arthur sat at the table, gesturing for Merlin to sit in the other chair. After a moment, he did. It was silent for a minute. “Arthur?” Merlin prompted, unsure. Arthur looked up, into deep blue eyes, the prettiest blue he’d ever seen, he thought idly.
“I’m ready for you to tell me. Everything. All that you’ve done for Camelot. All that you’ve done for me.” He looked down to the table, awaiting Merlin’s response. When it didn’t come, he hazarded a glance upwards. Merlin was staring intently at him. After another moment, he nodded. “Its not all good, Arthur. I’ve done many things I’m ashamed of. You won’t like to hear it.”
“I know,” Arthur replied, “but I need to know.”
Merlin nodded. “Okay.” And so he began, from the first day he came to Camelot. They talked for hours well into the night, and then the next morning. Arthur asked many questions, they argued, and he knew they’d barely even scratched the surface. That he’d be hearing stories for years to come, as there was no way Merlin could remember everything at once. But they’d get there, and finally he knew the truth of Merlin.
The Kinoko project is still very early into development and our main goal right now is to complete the planet Fungaia.
Later on down the line we hope to get these backgrounds colour and start filling all the empty spaces, maybe a boss or two :)

As you can see from the video above, something else we’ve been experimenting is the in-game camera! Up until now, we’ve used an orthographic camera, which – assuming no additional work – renders the game world in a completely flat manner without any sense of depth. It’s a common approach for 2D games, and of course there are still other ways to create the illusion of depth, such as by using parallax backgrounds. However, we’ve been experimenting with switching to a perspective camera, which renders our 2D planes and objects in a 3D space, creating a more immersive experience.
Our starting point was the map above, which is something we worked on together a couple of weeks ago. When coming up with an overall layout for the Fungaia world, we were keen to introduce a range of environments. We believe this will help to keep things fresh and interesting as the player moves through the world and discovers more areas, but also help them with pathfinding, since – as with any Metroidvania game – there will be plenty of navigating and backtracking required here. We’ve got woods, cliffs, jungles, tribal villages, alien encampments and more, and that’s just the first planet!
We also made sure to include multiple different pathways. It isn’t shown on this particular map, but some areas are locked off initially until you’ve collected this item or defeated that miniboss. As you progress through the world, you’ll be surprised to discover that you’ve unlocked alternative routes back to areas you visited previously, and you’ll discover bonus areas too which won’t always be obvious and might require a bit of eagle-eyed observation.
what if the guqqie originally from au that arg!guqqie disposed of was human, what if originally that guqqie and au!aimsey were meant to be essentially a role reversal of arg!aimsey and arg!guqqie? au!aimsey hides they’re a demon, him and guqqie fall in love, eventually he tells the truth about who they are and guqqie tries to kill them (unsuccessfully because immortal demon) and then they perform experiments on guqqie. mirroring the arg universe perfectly
After confirm that this translation was make from the Spanish scan. There is a mistranslation in here
It actually says that Henry will return the human to their original place. Meaning send them to the human world, as he previously said to Iruma when they first meet. But Fenrir (Narnia) prefers to eliminate the human.
This calls for further analysis fr. But that will be another time (hopefully). I just want to clear the mistake bc it really changes the og message
For summoning little guys. I’ve been thinking about gremlins a lot lately and it’s all I can do not to send a bunch of them after my players for the fun of it. So instead I’ll focus that effort here, with a few new spells: Beckon Gremlin, Malfeasance Invocation. Beckon Gremlin Mob, and Invoke Infestation.
Components: V, S, M (a small, fragile item worth at least 1gp)
----
Range: Close
Duration:1 hour/level.
Saving Throw: None; Spell Resistance: no.
----
This spell calls a single Gremlin from the First World into your service. You may call any species of gremlin into your service, but it is always a basic gremlin without class levels. Upon arrival, the gremlin gleefully destroys the material component before pledging itself to your service. You may direct the gremlin with complex verbal orders but may also issue simple commands (come here, go there, return to me) over any distance, provided you and the gremlin are on the same plane. You know the gremlin’s emotional state at all times. At the end of the duration, or if the gremlin is brought to 0 HP or lower, it vanishes back into the First World. You may cast this spell again on the same gremlin to prolong its existence in the plane (refreshing the spell’s duration), but it must be within range of the spell to do so.
Attempting to command the gremlin to perform an act that’s overtly Good or Lawful allows it to make a Will saving throw with a DC of 20. If it succeeds, it breaks free of your control, severs the empathic connection between the two of you, and no longer responds to your orders. For the spell’s remaining duration the gremlin is uncontrolled, but it still returns to the First World at the end of the duration.
And the rest are under the cut!
-------
Malfeasance Invocation
Conjuration [Calling, Evil]
Shaman 5, Witch 5
Casting Time: 30 minutes.
Components: V, S, F (an ugly cloth, leather, or wooden doll hand-made by you, worth at least 1gp) M (a small, fragile item worth at least 1gp)
----
Range: Close
Duration:Instantaneous, then 1 day/level (see text).
Saving Throw: None; Spell Resistance: no.
----
This spell calls forth malevolent essence and wicked desire from the world, infusing it into the focus component and causing it to permanently transform into a Gremlin. You choose what type of gremlin is created. The new gremlin destroys the material component in a fit of malicious glee, then becomes bound by your will for 1 day per caster level. You may direct the gremlin with complex verbal orders but may also issue simple commands (come here, go there, return to me) over any distance, provided you and the gremlin are on the same plane. When the spell’s duration expires, the gremlin becomes free of your control and is no longer magically beholden to your commands, though it may still obey you if it was treated well (or threatened into subservience.
If you bathe the doll used as the focus component for this spell with a specialized concoction of blood, treated herbs, and gemstone dust which costs 150gp to make, you may instead beckon the spirit of a specific dead gremlin who’s name you know and who you have met at least once into the doll, resurrecting that gremlin into a new body if it so wishes to be (most do).
Components: V, S, M (10gp worth of fragile objects and toys)
----
Range: Close
Duration:1 hour/level (see text).
Saving Throw: None; Spell Resistance: no.
----
This spell functions as Beckon Gremlin, except it summons 1d4+4 gremlins of a type of your choice. If you attempt to make even one called gremlin perform an overtly Good or Lawful deed, each gremlin may attempt a DC 20 Will save. If even one succeeds, all the gremlins become uncontrolled. If at least one of the called gremlins is within range of the spell, you may cast it again on that gremlin to refresh the spells’ duration on all of them.
------
Invoke Infestation
Conjuration [Calling, Evil]
Shaman 8, Witch 7
Casting Time: 1 hour.
Components: V, S, F (ugly dolls you made by hand, each made of materials worth at least 1gp, at least one ) M (a collection of fragile objects worth at least 50gp)
----
Range: Close
Duration:Instantaneous, then 1 day/level.
Saving Throw: None; Spell Resistance: no.
----
A single use of this spell acts as Malfeasance Invocation on up to 10 dolls, summoning gremlins permanently into them. This spell cannot replicate the resurrection effect of Malfeasance Invocation. However, you may telepathically communicate with the gremlins for the duration of the spell, and have a continuous Status on each of them.
No but the thing is that Dean and Jo were actually in romantic and sexual love with each other. That was a pretty significant thing that happened. They overtly flirted and shared an on-screen kiss
