How to Adult from a neurodiverse perspective. Some tips might also be helpful for anyone with mental illness that makes adulting harder.
It's going to be hard but try to stick to a certain area when cleaning instead zip zooming around doing things here and there. It's going to be a lot more satisfying to have one thing done fully then multiple things partially done.
Go to an area in your home and put away x many things that are in the wrong area.
If I'm having an especially hard time staying on one task I'll either tell myself ok I'm gonna wash the dishes (or whatever task it is for you) for x many more minutes or x many songs before I take a short break.
I try my best to make cleaning tasks more game like like I'm not just picking up dirty laundry off the floor into the basket I'm playing laundry basket ball! Making little games like this for cleaning will help make cleaning fun and something you want to do.
Make sure your breaks are actually short put a timer on your phone if you need to.
If you can't take a shower or bath for whatever reason get two washcloths. Get one washcloth wet and soapy, wash yourself. Get the other washcloth just wet and go over yourself again. I would do this a lot coming home super late from visiting family and my mom would call this a rag bath.
Try your best to fold your clothes out of the dryer to avoid wrinkles so that no matter what your wearing you'll look better put together.
If you struggle with this I suggest getting a clothes steamer its like an iron except theres no ironing board to set up and all that jazz that comes with a regular iron. Just fill this baby up with water and use on your clothes while they're hanging and watch the wrinkles go away.
Tumblr media
If your having a hard time washing your clothes all together get a fabric fabreze and spray it on your clothes. This isn't a replacement for washing them but it certainly helps the smell if you're stuggling to get your laundry done. Make sure its fabric though regular fabreze won't help your clothes as well.
If you have delicates that your afraid the dryer might ruin let them air dry by hanging them on the shower curtain rack. Or if you have the room to do so invest in something like this:
Tumblr media
Make your bed every day. This is just a good habbit to be in. Along with that make sure to freshen your sheets at least once every 2 months. Having more than one pair of sheets also helps with this because even if you can't get to washing your current sheets you could always just replace them with a different clean sheets and get around to cleaning the other sheets some other time.
Vitamins are great just generally but especially helpful if your sensory issues make it hard to eat certain healthy foods.
When making important phone calls make sure you already have a pen and paper so you can write down things you need to remember on the spot, instead of either scrambling for a pen and paper or thinking you'll remember then forget. Also sometimes it is good to have a bullet point list if you need to remember what exactly to say to this person istead of going uhhh umm and such.
When someone tells you an important date for something write it down right afterwards. Writing it right on the calendar were I can see it works better than using the calendar on my phone for myself as I usually forget about it until the day of if its just on my phone whereas if its on my paper calendar I see it a lot since I check my calendar a lot but this might be opposite for you so do whichever one works better
If you have long hair learn cute hairstyles other than just a messy bun. Its fun to switch it up from braids to pigtails to spacebuns or whatever. I'm putting this as a tip because I have long hair and whenever I am having a bad hair day, my hair is greasy or just do not have the energy to properly do my hair I would always opt for the messy bun. But you know what ? That gets boring and there's no age limit on braids or whatever no matter whatever other people state. Plus imo braids hide greasy hair better than buns.
Remember to clean your skin, but also being to harsh with rubbing your face with the cleaner or picking at your face can actually cause more problems! You want your face to not be too oily but also not too dry.
You can tell if your getting enough water by your pee color if its clear or really light yellow your doing good on keeping yourself hydrated if its yellow or darker you need some more water.
Contrary to popular belief/s coffee and cigarettes are not breakfast, and they cost as much as a real breakfast would. Please eat real food instead of bean and sugar soup and nicotine.
Make a budget, ask for help if needed as budget making can be kinda confusing, but make a budget and stick to it. This one has made my life so much better. Be the "crazy" coupon lady if you need to be to stick to it. Be a stickler with the lights and water if you need to be to stick to it.
Speaking of budget the dollar store and the generic grocery store version of things are your friends. The dollar store is a go to for kitchen stuff, cleaning stuff, snacks, some self grooming stuff, and even some of there frozen food and pantry food is pretty decent. They also have plenty of other stuff so honestly if I need anything I usually check there first before another store. Whatever they don't have that I need I can usually find a generic cheaper brand at the grocery store and most the time its absolutely no different than the big brands!
Buy clothes that fit NOW. Don't waste money on clothes that are smaller for inspiration for losing weight. (Or vice versa if you're trying to gain weight) Its important to have fashionable clothes that fit you at the weight you are now because if you don't you'll be stuck in boring sweats and sad because of it. I know. I've been there.

Hey umm so in light of NEVER having scene or read about a character with eczema (or skin problems at all for that matter) I'm going to go over how to write and draw eczema without being rude and making people self conscious about it.
Some general stuff:
This shit is PAINFUL! Like EXTREMELY PAINFUL sometimes
It may look red and swollen
It may look very dry and flaky
On darker skinned people it's not always going to look bright red. It's going to be patches of darker skin with more red undertones
It may look very rough skin and slab covered.
It can cause immense fatigue
It can make mobility hard
It may look bad but feel like nothing
It may look fine but feel painful
We can't stop itching. It's literally painful to not itch. It makes my thrash around if I can't itch
I have spent night being exhausted but unable to sleep bc of eczema and how painful it is
A flare up is caused by literally anything and often times we don't know the cause
It's usually on the back of the knees or the insides of the arms but can appear anywhere. Other popular spots invlude the neck, face, hands, and wrists
It causes hyper pigmentation but it's mostly notice in the summer or after summer since you're tan and the patch goes away, leaving untanned skin and the place where the patch was drained of a bit of color anyways
Nearly everyone who's had it has it on the inside of their arms and has had it there forever. I have hyper pigmentation there however it's in a patchy way. A lot of people have paler inside arms but mine isn't a smooth transition of color.
Hyper pigmentation does happen and it's not always permeant. It can just last until the summer tan is gone or it can take literal months to even years to fade which is what's happening to my arms at the moment
It will come in patches at random places at random times though usually stays forever on places like the inside of arms and legs
If it's on the inside of one arm then it's going to show up on the inside of the other arm. Same goes for the back of the knees however there might be one side that's typically worse then the other. It can switch back and forth but unless you're on medication one side will be noticslly worse then the other though both will not be looking good
It can stay one place for a few years and go away but then show up in a new place and stay there for years.
Medication and shots are a thing that we use
Steroid creams and prescription lotion are also things we use
No one is using scented bath and body works lotion. Scented stuff irritates it and makes it burn. Take your Bath and Body Works and leave.
I'm not just going to pick up any lotion or cream at the store either. I'm doing careful research on what will work best, finding what works best for me, and sticking with it
A lot of things will make it burn such as lotions, perfumes, and even water
A lot of people wear jackets and hoddies to cover it up
I also wear a special hoodie for flare ups bc the material feels nicest and I don't want to ruin my other clothes with all the lotions and stuff
Certain materials are itchy and irritating. (Looking at you wool I hate your guts) while others are soothing and comfortable (cotton and silk and bamboo fabric are life savors)
Random and obscure allergies that cause it to flare up
When a patch clears up and goes from rough to soft I will continue to touch it bc I'm excited and I forgot what it feels like to have my skin like that. I once had it on my eyelids and cheeks and once it cleared up I cried and wouldn't stop touching my face bc it didn't hurt to make facial expressions and it felt so nice to have my skin back
Speaking of which it can and will show up on your eyelids and make them swell up
It can get into your brows and you'll lose hair in your brows bc of it
I don't know one person with eczema who hasn't felt self conscious about it or try to hide it even if it's nothing to be ashamed for
Doctors will take one look at people with eczema (especially those who aren't skinny white boys) and pass it off as a rash. Dermatologists do this and actually allergists have been more helpful with clearing up my skin in my personal experience
You will get super greasy hair from all the lotion. If it's on the neck or face your hair will catch in the lotion and make it greasy. It doesn't help that it can be painful to shower and stuff with eczema
Baths >>>> showers. Especially since there's a lot of stuff people will soak in to help. Salt baths and bleach baths are a thing to help kill bacteria and things like putting in mint leaves and that sort of stuff help cool and soothe it
Ironically most of the lotions I've been given I ended up being allergic to. This is something some other people I know experienced. Lavender is supposed to help but it just makes things worse for a lot of people I know ironically believe it or not
Also it's an AUTO IMMUNE DISEASE! It's going to weaken the immune system and make it easier to get sick. The real kicker is when you get sick you get more prone to infections and your skin will get infected and it's a downward and very painful spiral
Writing:
Have your character have a flare up. Have their skin go from fine to red and itchy and dry and maybe a little bloody
Scabs. We've got them. I have scars from scratching at scabs from eczema bc they're itchy. Your character most likely will too and probably did so as a child as well bc it's a scab vs a kid
Have them go to bed early bc theyre tired
It makes sense for them to go to doctors appointments specifically for their eczema and to have it done often. Look into things like having your characters go to get shots often or doing light therapy
Have them feel under the weather bc of it. Make them take a benadryl and clock out in a blanket with a material they like
Silk pillowcases are great for skin. So are bamboo materials. I know a lot of people who've invested in these including myself to make sleeping and drying off more comfortable. Chances are your character and their family have invested in them too and a lot of household materials will be like that or they will have their own special towels and bed sheets that need to be washed separately from everyone else and need to be washed at the right time so your character has towels and bed sheets
Give them allergies. They're probably allergic to something that causes it and usually it's some chemical like fragrance jn perfume or over processed foods too. A lot cleaning supplies make me flare up and dust is a big one too. Lavender and chamomile are ones which is very ironic based on how people tell us to use those to help
Coconut oil and stuff like she's butter. I guarantee you that your character has or will use it at some point to help with eczema. They're honestly life savers
Have them keep a jacket and some prescribed lotion with them. At night have them put on a bunch of different lotions and skin care stuff and probably even gloves or socks over their hands to help lock in moisture. However they will also probably rub these things against their skin to scratch
Write a character with clear looking skin but hyper pigmentation and taking shots to keep a flare up at bay. Dupixent is a shot a lot of people are using and it works wonders
Gloves when sleeping. Put on lotion and then gloves and have them go to bed and then be frustrated when they can't swipe on their phone.
It's okay to have them feel gross about it just don't make it happen often. After I put on all my lotions I feel super greasy and gross because of it
Have other characters hype them up despite their eczema. It's not a bad thing. It doesn't make us ugly. Stop acting like non perfect skin is a terrible thing. When I'm down or upset about it my friends will hype me up about it
However while I can go out without hiding my eczema and still feel good about it that doesn't mean that myself or any character you're writing with it won't wish that their skin wasn't clear. More so bc it hurts and is uncomfortable then anything.
Clothes made from cotton and silk and that stuff are good for every day clothes but also fancy stuff if need be
Speaking of clothes do not put them in a wool sweater that shit sucks and so do a lot of mixed fibers. There's special clothes that are made without seams or with special materials for people who have textural issues and I have gotten stuff from those places. Always keep a few long sleeves in my closet for my worst days and have a long sleeve from my favorite brand in nearly every color and pattern. Your character will probably do the same the second they find a piece of clothing that feels good on their skin. However eventually all the lotions will make the insides knit and the clothing will be stained darker if you use them for flare ups after putting in lotion
My mom has come home and dropped a pile of new shirts on my bed because they were from the brand that makes clothes that are safe for my skin and she got them in every color or style. Your character will have parents that will do the same. I don't know if it's a universal eczema experience but if your character has parents who are really concerned about it and arw very involved and caring then it makes sense for something like that to happen
Designated flare up shirts are a thing. I will put it on and wear it to bed or to school or anywhere
Give them a designated flare up shirt that they where for a while in a flare up. However also give them a hoodie they like bc trust me they're gonna wear a specific hoodie when there's a flare up
If you're going to have a random character point it out or ask questions, it's completely logical for your character to be annoyed about it. I know other people are just curious but when a bunch of people bombard you for something you would obviously know is there it's very tiring
Have them change clothes when they get home. It helps and I do it and so do other people. Don't want to being things from the outside into the household.
They aren't going to put on perfume for a fancy evening and chances are their friends won't either because that stuff irritates it so much even if we aren't the ones wearing it
It's okay to say that the skin was red and patchy. It's okay to say it cleared up
Don't say that the character looks like they have spots or scales or looks like a tomato or stuff like that. It's really rude and the amount of times I've been made fun of and told I have lizard skin is horrifying
It can look anything from a little bit of red and pink to being full on scabs and blood and puss all over ones arm or body part.
Let them itch and then have someone tell them stop itching. It's annoying but realistic. Points if your character immediately stops but tries to find some way to still itch or glares at the other person or says some remark back. Their parents are going to be the number one people to tell them to stop itching
Eczema is uncomfortable. Have them be uncomfortable sometimes because of it
You don't have to make the whole story about it but include little things like them itching or before bed putting on a bunch of lotion. Have them have a favorite outfit bc it feels best on their skin
Use words like: red, patchy, dry, burning, itchy, stiff, and swollen
Avoid things like: spots (for hyper pigmentation), any animal like description, comparison jokes to things like "oh they're as red as that sweater". Stop comparing our skin to objects and animals. It's not funny. This may be a personal thing but it's a huge let peeve if mine and one of the reasons I've always been self conscious about it
Please don't have people make rude comments about it or have random people ask a lot of questions I'm seriously begging you. If you do at least have then give some sort of come back or have the other character asking questions approach it in a more polite and sympathetic way. It's so annoying how many times people will walk up to me and point at my eczema and go "what happened to you?" Or even worse there have been people who think they're going to catch some disease from me. I've dropped my pencil and the person by it kicked it over to me instead of handing it to me bc they took one look at my skin and made a disgusted face. So as realistic as it is so have those things I'm really fucking annoyed by those types of comments and don't want them in my books unless there's a good comeback please and thank you
People are very mean about it and it's the source for the self consciousness so do your best to avoid that bc while I get the person saying it is going to be framed as mean or rude it's still :/
Drawing:
put down your base skin tone
Pick a red tone off of the base
Pick a lighter tone of of the base
Do the same with your shadow and highlight colors
Now you have your skin tone color palette
Draw on white patches and red patches to the proper base tones you used
Don't blend them out. They're distinctive
Just put them on the inside of arms or on fingers and face and neck and legs and wrists at random in blots of all shapes and sizes
Don't draw it as a pattern
Don't use a splatter brush
Feel free to draw on scabs and dark spots here and there
You don't need to draw it like scales or show how dry and flaky it can be if you're a really realistic or more detailed with your art style
Use references
Boom. Done.
It's literally just dry and red skin. We've all had that before. The only difference is it's wide spread. If you can draw skin then you can draw eczema on it
It's not hard.
As always do research! Ask questions! Just be nice and have fun with it! Eczema isn't a big deal but I can't tell you how much it would mean to me to see a character with eczema!

Yunho stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom just staring at himself. When he looked at the mirror, it didn’t feel like the person he saw was the real him anymore. His brown hair, in the same cut he had the last two years of high school, it just didn’t fit him any more. He wanted a change.
She walked into the bathroom behind him, coming to brush her teeth before bed. “What’s the serious look for?” She asked, coming up to give him a hug from behind.
“Nothing really,” he shook his head and gave her a little embarrassed look. “Just wondering if it’s time for a change.”
“Change can be good,” she agreed. “What were you thinking about?”
“What would you think if I dyed my hair,” he said tentatively.
“Is that what you want?” she moved beside him to get a better look.
“I don’t know,” he sighed. “Seonghwa looked really nice as a blond. Do you think I could pull it off?”
“I bet you would look amazing as a blond,” she decided, pushing a little bit of his shaggy hair out of his eyes.
“You think so?” He gave her a smile, reassured by her support.
“Yeah,” she nodded, pulling his face down to her for a kiss. He smiled shyly into the kiss, holding her hand against his cheek.
“I’ll think about it,” he hedged.
“Okay,” she nodded, watching him walk out of the room.

Saturday, 1 o’clock, meet me at the car
Yunho flipped the paper over in his hands as he leaned against the drivers side door of his old car. It was five minutes to one and he was still waiting. She was almost always early, giving him a reason for the moment’s doubt, had she forgotten? At two minutes to one she came jogging up the curve of the road towards their house.
“Sorry sorry sorry,” she panted as she came up to the car. “I lost track of time a little getting things from the library.” She lifted the arm full of books she was carrying to demonstrate what had made her almost late. “Let’s get going.”
He opened the passenger door and let her in before getting into the drivers side himself. “Where are we going?”
She took out her phone and put an address into maps, hitting the button to start the driving instructions. Yunho gave a laugh, shaking his head as he pulled out of the driveway. He obediently followed the directions, weaving through the suburban blocks to a little strip mall that the phone indicated was their final destination.
She popped out of the car with a smile, meeting him on his side and taking his hand as she led him into some place called Mane Events. He still had no idea what they were doing here.
“Hey we’re here for a color and cut for Yunho at 1:30.” She said to the person on the other side of the reception desk.
“Great,” The other woman said with a super cheery tone. “Yep we have you down. Take a seat and we will call you back in a moment.”
“Thank you,” she smiled back at the receptionist before walking with Yunho back to the seats in the waiting area.
“You got me a haircut,” he chuckled. Honestly, he had figured that she had forgotten that little conversation they had had before bed that night not so long ago. But, of course she hadn’t. He had still been debating with himself as to whether he could pull it off. He wasn’t gorgeous like Seonghwa or his literal model boyfriend. What if he looked silly; as if he was trying too hard?
Welp, here we are, he thought, I guess we’re here and we’re doing it. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach and he squeezed her hand tighter.
“You ready for a little change?” She asked him, squeezing his hand back. “If not, we can cancel.”
“No no,” He paused, realizing his answer was a little muddled. “I’m ready to do this, I mean. I...I don’t know what cut to get though.”
“Did you want to see my ideas?” She scooted closer and pulled out her phone. “Here,” she pulled up the gallery on her phone and flipped a couple of pictures back until there was a picture of just a headshot of a guy with a clean, modern hair cut, and another, this one with a little more volume on the top, and another, a little bit longer. “Okay now this one was just an idea, but I think it's a little more daring...maybe for next time.” She showed him the last picture with a guy in a stylish swept over undercut.
“Yeah, I think next time maybe,” He covered his mouth and let out a shy laugh. “I’m not sure I’m cool enough for that yet.”
“I think you would look so hot in that,” she looked meaningfully into his eyes, making him blush. “But, what do you think about this one today?” she flipped back to the tapered hair that faded into a clean, close cut just above the ears. Yunho nodded, feeling like it was simple enough, but also a little more adult. He just hoped it would look good on him.
“You are going to be such a beautiful blond,” she looked up at him, hearts in her eyes, and he suddenly felt like he could do anything. He cradled her face and pulled her into a gentle kiss.
“Yunho?” Said a cheery voice from near the receptionist desk.
“Yeah,” he responded, standing up.
“Hey I’m Mandy,” the stylish brunette stepped forward and extended a hand to him. “I’m going to be cutting and coloring your hair today.”
“Great,” he took her hand and gave it a firm shake.
“Come with me,” she motioned over her shoulder towards the salon area. “We’ll get you started.”
“Can my, I mean,” he looked back as his girlfriend, still standing a little bit back in the waiting area. “Can my girlfriend come, too?”
“Oh yeah sure,” Mandy nodded. “Come on, we are going to color these cute locks first.” Yunho held his hand out to his girlfriend. She took it, and together they followed the stylist back to the chair where she would start her work. Yunho took a seat and she put a cape over his shoulders.
“So what sort of color were we thinking today?” She asked Yunho.
“Blond,” he replied.
“Okay well since we are starting with pretty dark hair, we won’t be going platinum or anything,” Mandy ran her fingers through his hair, testing its weight and texture. “But we can probably get you to a nice dark blond. How does that sound?”
“Yeah, sure,” Yunho agreed.
“Have you ever dyed your hair before?” She asked.
“No, I haven’t,” he admitted. “Does that make it harder?”
“No, if you haven’t had much done to your hair before it should be stronger,” Mandy explained. “I’ll have to give you some info on caring for your hair after this, but if you take good care of it, we should be able to keep your hair in good shape. Let’s get started, huh? I’m going to go mix some lightener and then we can get started. Be right back.”
Yunho watched her head to an area further back before turning to his girlfriend for reassurance. “I’ll look okay as a blond, right?”
“You’ll look amazing,” she agreed with complete confidence. “I am sure Mandy will do a great job with it.”
“I just...what if I look stupid?” He whispered, the tips of his ears going a little pink under the fringe of his hair.
“You won’t,” she promised, hopping off the empty chair she had been sitting in to come up beside him. “You are going to look so cute.”
“Yeah?” He asked, sliding one hand out from under the slick fabric of the cape.
“Cross my heart,” she went up on tiptoes and gave his lips a quick peck. Mandy returned, tools and gloopy lightener in hand.
“Aww, you two are so sweet.” Mandy declared as she set her things down in the work space. “How long have you two been together?”
“A little more than a year,” Yunho answered, giving her a smile.
“You two are so young!” She sounded surprised. “Are you like high school sweethearts or something?”
“Something like that,” Yunho shrugged.
“That’s so cute,” Mandy clucked. “Okay so what I really want to do with your color is just give you a good medium blond, with some highlights and maybe keep it a shade darker up near the roots; something that looks really natural; like you spent your summer hanging out at the beach.”
“Okay yeah, that sounds good,” Yunho like the sound of it, even if he had trouble picturing what that would look like.
“What sort of cut were you thinking about?” Mandy followed up running a comb through his hair to bring it off his face.
“Honey, can you show her…?” He looked to his girlfriend who nodded and pulled out her phone. She leaned over and showed her the picture they had been leaning towards. Mandy nodded with excitement.
“That is going to look so good on him,” Mandy enthused to the other girl. “Good taste, girl. Let’s get him looking like the hottie he is under there.”
Mandy set to work putting the lighteners in his hair and chatting with the pair as she worked. The conversation was light, mostly discussing school and the area, keeping it pleasant as she worked. Soon she took Yunho back to wash and condition his hair after the lightener had done its work.
“How about if your girlfriend waits for you in the reception area so that we can surprise her with the final product?” Mandy suggested, wanting to get to see the happy, surprised face she was sure her work would inspire.
“Sure, sure,” Yunho agreed and Mandy disappeared to escort the other girl back to the waiting area. When she returned, she took him back to her work area and turned him away from the mirror.
“I want to surprise you, too.” Mandy grinned at him. “So what made you want this change?”
“I don’t know,” He admitted. “I just wanted to do something different, something more adult, I guess.”
“Well with that baby face you have, I totally understand,” she nodded. “You are growing up, going to school and all that.”
“Yeah, I don’t really feel like that kid I was back home,” he shrugged. “I want my outside to match a little better, I think.”
“That is the best reason to change your style,” She gave him a wink and set to work. She was fast, the zipping click of her scissors filling the air as she clipped, trimmed, and shaped his hair. She combed the hair off his forehead and worked some product into it as she ran her fingers through to the ends to make sure that everything was even. Satisfied, she pulled out the hairdryer to blow it dry into the final style.
When it was done, she pulled a few hairs down into his face, giving the final look a sort of devil-may-care air. Finally satisfied, she stood back, telling him to wait and resist the urge to turn around until she got back. Yunho agreed, watching as she went to go get the girl waiting to see the final look in the reception area. They came back, laughing together, Mandy with one hand in front of the other’s eyes as they drew near. Yunho was suddenly nervous for the reveal. Maybe she wouldn’t like it, then what?
“Alright everyone, here you go,” Mandy lifted her hand up, letting the other girl see him for the first time. Even before she could see him, she was already excited, biting her lip in anticipation of the vision of the boy who would be presented to her. She cracked her eyes open and her jaw dropped. He looked like he had gotten three years older in the half an hour the styling had taken. With his hair styled back, his dark brown eyes stood out and she would have almost sworn it made his cheekbones sharper.
“Babe, you look soooo good,” she breathed, bringing her hands to cover her mouth. Yunho finally stood up and turned to see himself in the mirror. He almost didn’t recognise himself in the reflection. He loved it and he just felt pretty. Reaching up, he touched the well styled locks, admiring the golden, honey tones she had managed to bring out. It was softer than he thought, not held stiff, but still staying out of his face.
“Can I show you what you need to get this look at home?” Mandy asked, grinning from ear to ear at how pleased they both were.
“Yes please,” Yunho nodded, eager to keep it up. Mandy escorted them to the wall of products the salon both used and sold, giving him a conditioner, mousse, a light wax, and something to use when he washed to keep his hair from taking on any discoloration. They headed to the register laden with products but very pleased.
Yunho reached for his wallet, only to have her stop him. “This was my treat.”
“I can pay,” He insisted, but she shook her head and passed the receptionist her card as he spoke. With everything paid for, and all the products bagged up for the trip, they headed home.

Mingi was sprawled out on the couch waiting for the both of them when they got back. He perked up when he heard the growl of the old car engine pull into the driveway, eager to see them since they had been gone all afternoon. She had left earlier in the day, needing to pick up some things from the library for classes next week, not coming back before she and Yunho went to do whatever it was they had planned. She had refused to tell him what her plan was, only saying that he would get the surprise when Yunho did. He had to admit that it was probably fair. He wasn’t really good at keeping secrets between all of them. Sometimes he forgot something was supposed to be a surprise, and sometimes words just fell out of his mouth before he thought about what it was he was saying.
When the door finally opened, she poked her head in, a wide grin on her face.
“Hi love,” she greeted as he moved into a sitting position. “Can you close your eyes for me, real quick?”
“O...okay,” Mingi nodded, squeezing his eyes shut tightly. He heard footsteps enter the room and a few things being put down on the coffee table in front of him. She took a seat on the couch beside him, he knew it was her by the smell of their favorite perfume of hers coming to tickle his nose as her hand came to cover his eyes, just to be sure.
“Yunho, ready?” She asked, amusement dancing in her voice.
“Yeah,” He replied, an odd mix of confidence and shy tones coloring his voice. She took away her hand and Mingi opened his eyes. It took a second for him to focus and for his eyes to travel up to look at Yunho’s face. When his eyes landed on his hair, he felt a twisting in his stomach and felt, more than realized, that his jaw went slack. He looked...so good.
Without thinking about what he was doing, Mingi came to his feet and went to the other boy. His hands went to his face, tilting it to the angle that let their lips meet. He pressed his plush lips to Yunho’s perfectly shaped cupid’s bows, pressing as he felt the other boy smile into the kiss.
“I take it you like it?” Yunho chuckled shyly, when Mingi pulled back.
“Fuck, you look so good,” Mingi whined, touching it gently, not wanting to mess up the style. “Blond?”
“The color is okay?” Yunho asked him, entwining his fingers with the other boys’.
“You look hot,” Mingi grinned.
“Doesn’t he?” She said coming up beside them. “I have an idea.” She took their entwined hands and led them down the hall, the boys looked at each other, a thrill of anticipation moving between them. She brought them into the bedroom and sat Yunho on the edge of the bed.
“Mingi, can you undress him for me?” She asked, a dark sparkle in her eyes. “You should strip, too.” She added as she crossed the room. Mingi nodded, letting his hands go to the hem of Yunho’s t-shirt. Pulling it off over his head, Mingi kissed along the other boy’s collarbone, his soft lips flitting over it. Yunho shivered, his hands going to the other boy's waist to hold himself steady.
As his lips continued to travel over Yunho’s neck and shoulders, Mingi’s hands traveled to the band of Yunho’s jeans, following the line until his fingers reached the button. Yunho bit his lip, letting Mingi undress him was the softest torture. He loved it. Mingi’s long fingers hooked into the waistband, pulling them down his narrow hips.
“You look like an angel,” Mingi whispered against the shell of his ear. “I want you so much.”
Yunho let out a breathy sigh. Mingi was usually more prone to showing his affection than speaking about it. The words sent a spiral of desire through Yunho, and he pulled Mingi’s lips to his own, his thumbs caressing his cheeks as he held his face. Yunho stepped out of his jeans and underwear without breaking the kiss, the taste of the other boy only feeding the fire inside him.
“On the bed,” Her soft command came as they drew apart finally. Yunho nodded, one hand going to cover his growing erection, feeling exposed. He noticed that she had been busy as he and Mingi had been engaged with each other. She was carrying a few things in one hand, but he wasn’t sure what aside from the fact that they seemed to all be made of black satin, soft, shiny and long.
“Do you trust us?” She asked, giving him an admiring look that raked up his body and landed on his face. Yunho blushed but nodded. Behind her, Mingi stripped, quickly and eagerly, leaving his discarded clothes in a messy pile. “Okay, give me your hands.”
Yunho swallowed but put his hands out to her. Putting what was in her hands on the bed beside him, she took his hands in hers, pressing a soft kiss to the palm of each before turning them over. She picked up what looked to him like two loops of black satin and pulled apart one loop with the recognizable ripping sound of velcro.
“Neither of you have looked into what I had in that box, did you?” She chuckled when his mouth made a cute little O when he realized they were soft restraints.
“I forgot about it,” Mingi admitted as he tucked himself behind Yunho.
“Me, too,” Yunho conceded as he watched her small hands wrap the shiny satin around his wrists. Taking a step back, she started to strip, leaving Mingi and Yunho to watch on the bed. Mingi enveloped Yunho in his arms as they watched her slowly remove her clothes. His fingers danced over the other boy’s skin, raising goosebumps as he stroked along the flat planes of his stomach and his chest.
“She’s beautiful, isn’t she,” Mingi whispered in his ear. “Just like you.”
Color rose on Yunho’s cheeks and a giddy giggle escaped his lips at the compliment. Yunho turned his heat to meet Mingi’s lips as he brought his bound hands up to hold the hand Mingi had pressed against his chest.
When she was stripped bare, she returned to the bed and picked up the last scrap of material left on the bed. It unfurled softly as she picked it up and Yunho finally realized what it was. It was a satin and lace blindfold that sparkled with little beaded embellishments. She gave him a reassuring smile as she lifted it to his eyes, tying it comfortably and securely over them.
“He does look beautiful like this, doesn’t he?” She praised. “He should be worshiped like the darling that he is.”
“How?” Mingi asked breathlessly. He loved the idea. He wanted to shower Yunho in adoration and he looked like a fallen angel, blinded and lightly bound.
“Help me get him to the middle of the bed,” she instructed. Yunho was surprised by how much the simple restraints and the blindfold threw him off. Mingi guided him to the middle of the bed where Yunho sat back on his heels, feeling oddly on display for the two of them. He felt the long frame of Mingi curl around behind him a moment before he felt her hands brush over his thighs. In his lap, his hands fidgeted, unsure of what he should do with them. As if she sensed his hesitation, her hands slid up to cover his before she leaned in to kiss his lips.
“Mingi, can you take his hands; keep them up on the back of his head for me?” She requested in the silence of the room. Yunho’s breath caught as he let her guide his hands up and over his head until he felt Mingi’s hands catch his wrists and guide his hands to the back of his head. He interlaced his fingers to help hold the position more comfortably .
Mingi pressed a kiss to his slender fingers. “Good boy,” He murmured, forcing him to lean back against him a little. Yunho let out a shuddering breath as he heard her shift in front of him and felt her put a little more weight on the hands she had splayed over his thighs. He jumped as he felt her soft lips brush over the tip of his erection. Behind him Mingi let out a sound of approval and Yunho felt one of his hands work around his waist and come to rest on his stomach below his belly button.
“Does it feel good?” Mingi asked him, voice low and sultry. “Her lips look so pretty on your cock.”
“Yes,” Yunho whimpered.
“Do you want more?” Mingi teased, letting his fingers on Yunho’s stomach move slightly on his skin.
“Yes,” a shade of tension in his voice as Yunho confirmed.
“What do you want?” She asked, her voice traveling up from somewhere low on his body.
“Taste me,” He asked, color rising on his cheeks as he did.
“Like this?” As she asked, she took the tip of him in her mouth and swirled her tongue around it. Yunho couldn’t answer, but drew in a sharp breath through his nose in response. “I’ll take that as a yes,” she gave a low snort before bringing her mouth back to him. The flat of her tongue brushed along the underside of his cock as she slid it into her mouth. Yunho let out a choked sound, the sensation more overwhelming behind the darkness of the blindfold.
“Her mouth is already so full and she hasn’t even taken that much of you in it,” Mingi observed, loving both the sight itself and being able to tease his other lover with the narration of what it was he was being denied sight of. “Do you think she can take more?”
“I...I don’t know,” Yunho felt himself twitch at the thought.
“Do you want her to try?” As Mingi asked the question, he let the tip of his pinky brush along the base of Yunho’s erection, focusing his attention there all the more.
“Please,” Yunho mewled. He felt her smile around him as she drew back to the tip. He could feel her adjust her position, then her mouth sunk down his length further. The tip of his erection brushed the back of her throat and he felt her gag slightly around him. His body twitched involuntarily and he felt her slide her mouth back off him, wet sounds filling his ears as she did.
“Sorry, sorry, sorry,” he chanted, feeling like he had done something wrong, despite not having moved.
“You’re doing so well, love,” she praised, her voice slightly rough. “I bet your arms are getting tired, aren’t they?”
“I’m okay,” He rushed to assure her. They were getting tired, but he didn’t want this to stop, and he could endure if it meant the pleasure would continue.
“Let’s make this a little easier for you,” she soothed. He could feel the both of them move, urging his hands forward and helping him move forward until his hands met the solid material he recognized as the headboard of the bed. He leaned forward, letting some of his weight rest on his hands as he remained on his knees. Mingi moved up behind him, prompting him to spread his legs slightly so that he could kneel between his legs. Yunho could feel how aroused Mingi had become with what he had been watching. He bit his lip at the feel of his erection brushing the curve of his ass. He could hear her move into the space below him, squeezing in among the pile of soft pillows there.
“Is that easier?” She asked him as she took him in her hand.
“Yeah,” he had to admit it was much easier on his body.
“Good,” She placed a kiss against the tip of him. Yunho gave a little gasp and arched his neck back slightly.
“You look so tempting like this,” Mingi ran his hands down Yunho’s sides to rest on his narrow hips. His large hands held him in place as he ran his thumbs over the soft flesh of his behind. Below, she swirled her tongue around him and dipped her head lower over his length again. Their combined touches made his back arch, wanting to be able to move into both their touches, though it was an impossible contradiction.
“Do...do you think you could take me?” Mingi asked from behind him, sounding unsure for the first time that afternoon.
“Yes...maybe…” Yunho answered, both excited and intimidated by the prospect. Neither of them had tried that before. It wasn’t that they had rejected the idea, just that there had always been other things they had done instead. He felt Mingi pull back and move off the bed as she continued to use her mouth on him. The warm cavern of her mouth felt so good and the little sounds she made were almost enough to keep him distracted from trying to picture what Mingi was doing. He heard the swish of the bedside table drawer being opened, then rustling and the crinkling of a condom wrapper; a sound he had become more familiar with than he would have credited.
Something hit his leg just before he heard the drawer shut and the bed moved under Mingi’s returning weight. The soft caress of Mingi’s hand on the small of his back as he returned to the space between his legs, sent shivers through Yunho.
“Tell me you want this,” Mingi encouraged.
“I want you,” Yunho affirmed.
“Promise me, you’ll tell me if it hurts,” Mingi implored as his hands gripped and massaged the soft muscular curve of Yunho’s backside. Yunho nodded. “I’ll go slow.” Mingi promised before reaching for the bottle of lube that was resting against Yunho’s calf on the bed. There was a familiar click as he flicked the lid open and Yunho finally figured out what had landed near him from the drawer. Of course, he smiled to himself.
He tensed in anticipation, his mind battling to focus on the gentle feel of her mouth on him and waiting with bated breath to feel what Mingi would do next. In a moment he felt a cool wetness spread between his cheeks, spread by two of Mingi’s long, blunt fingers. The lube warmed to his body quickly as Mingi made slow and deliberate circles around his tightly puckered entrance. Yunho bit his lip. The movement felt good, especially combined with what she was doing on the other side of him.
“Relax,” Mingi kissed his back as his free hand caressed his waist on one side.
“Sorry,” Yunho gave an apologetic laugh, realizing he was tense. It wasn’t so much fear as anticipation and not knowing what to expect. He took a deep breath and tried to concentrate on the sensations of pleasure he was receiving from both of them. Mingi kept up his gentle circles but below him, he could hear her shifting. The top of her head brushed against his chest and he heard the soft plop of what he guessed must have been pillows hitting the floor.
“Hi,” her voice drifted up from slightly higher on his body and she placed a gentle kiss against his chest.
“Hi,” he said back, his voice more airy than he expected. She put her hands on his hips and took the tip of him into her mouth, sucking it lightly like the whirl on the top of a cup of soft-serve. At the same time, behind him, Mingi had worked the tip of a finger in him and was slowly moving it in circles to spread him wider. Yunho concentrated on the gentle friction, stopping himself from tensing at the intrusion.
Her lips slid lower, the new position allowing her to move on him more comfortably, and she moaned around him. The sound and sensation traveled over his nerves and he let out a shuddering breath. As he felt his tip brush against the back of her throat, he felt her fingers grasp his hips more firmly and she pushed further. Her throat spasmed around him and he let out an almost pained moan as she pulled off with a surprised choke.
“Are...are you okay,” he asked, feeling Mingi still behind him as well.
“Yeah,” her voice was slightly hoarse and she cleared her throat before continuing. “Just working things out.”
“Are you too big for our girl?” Mingi teased, moving his fingers again. “Her poor mouth can’t take all of you.” Yunho let out a whine at the image that flared in his mind; her small mouth open, lips circling his length, as she struggled to take him in. Pleasure pooled in his stomach and he gripped the headboard harder.
“Is she as pretty as I imagine?” Yunho asked the other boy as he felt him work in a second finger.
“Prettier,” Mingi breathed in his ear. “Her lips are so pretty and pink around you.” She sank down on him again as Mingi said it, sending a shiver through him. “Are you ready for me to come inside you?”
“Yes, please,” Yunho nodded, feeling a desperate anticipation.
“Don’t move,” Mingi directed him, taking his fingers back and putting more lube on both Yunho and the condom. “If you do you might hurt our girl, so keep still.” Yunho nodded, stiffening slightly as he felt the dull head of Mingi penis press against him. Shhhhh, Mingi soothed, bringing his hands to Yunho’s waist, one still slick with lube. Yunho nodded and took a deep breath. He let his head hang down and concentrated on relaxing into the slow intrusion. She had paused what she was doing, instead soothingly running her palms over his tense stomach and chest. Mingi moved with excruciating slowness, sliding in a bit and pausing as Yunho fluttered around him. When he finally felt the other boy's hips press against him from behind, Yunho let out a shuddering laugh. Mingi felt so big inside him and he had a moment’s sympathy for their girl. She was so small and yet she welcomed their intrusion into her body so happily.
“You okay,” Mingi asked from behind.
“Yeah,” Yunho nodded. He felt like he should be doing something, an impatience rising in him as both of them touched him lightly but remained still otherwise.
“You’re ready for me to move?” Mingi asked, pressing a kiss against his shoulder.
“Please,” Yunho begged, all his pride gone as desperation and desire rose in him like a tide.
“Okay, just keep still.” Mingi said, giving a nod that was obviously directed to her, he felt her shift to take him in her mouth again as Mingi held his hips and slowly pulled back. She enveloped him as Mingi slowly slid out of him until only the tip was still inside. The contrasting sensations sent a shiver through him and he sucked in a breath. Mingi’s member slid back in filling him as Yunho felt himself fill her mouth, his tip brushing the back of her throat again. Her throat twitched against it and Yunho couldn’t help but let out a tense moan.
“Do you like this,” Mingi asked, letting his hips snap into Yunho with more force though he kept a firm grip on him to keep him still.
“Yes,” Yunho confirmed. He felt breathless and exposed, but at the same time it was like he was at the center of this private world. They both were lavishing their love on him and he could only let them. In the darkness behind the blindfold, he could only feel their affection and hear how they responded. Wet sounds tantalized him as she took him in her mouth and mixed with the rough breaths Mingi gave in time with his thrusts. It was almost overwhelming, being forced to only experience their love, his hands bound, stopping him from reaching for them to return it.
“You feel so good around me,” Mingi whined against his ear, one arm moving across Yunho’s chest to hold him against him as his hips started moving faster. “Do we make you feel good?”
“Yes,” Yunho confessed, tears pricking the backs of his eyes for some reason he couldn’t quite express. “Please don’t stop.”
“I love you both,” Mingi rumbled against his neck. “I could live in this moment forever. Tell me what you want.”
“God, I want you to fuck me as I cum down her throat,” Yunho admitted, desperately tense as the words spilled out of his lips. “I want the feel of both of you in me and around me. I want to get lost in this feeling and never come back. Please, please, please.” He felt a hot tear escape the corner of his eye only to be absorbed by the fabric covering them. He was grateful it hid the welling of emotion for him, coming from somewhere inside him he hadn’t known was there.
Yunho let out a keen as he felt her take him deeper in his mouth, ignoring the tug of her gag reflex as she pushed herself. Mingi thrust faster as he held Yunho, back to chest, murmuring words of encouragement, telling him how good he made him feel. Low in his stomach he could feel his orgasm coming, it clenched like a knot and sent an electrical tingle through every nerve in his body.
“I’m so close,” he choked out between clenched teeth.
“Me too,” Mingi nodded against his shoulder, making his thrusts harder but hitting as deeply as he could. Yunho bit his lip between his teeth until it hurt. He heard her take a deep breath and then felt her take him again, her tongue sliding wetly along the bottom of his cock. She angled her head and slid him down deep into her throat. It clenched around his length and he suddenly stiffened as his orgasm hit him. Yunho let out a breathless sob as it snapped inside him and he emptied himself into her.
Behind him Mingi sped up, his movements becoming uneven and rougher. Yunho could tell when his own orgasm hit him as his fingers clawed at his hips and chest. Mingi held him close as he felt himself fill the condom, desperate to fill his senses with Yunho as pleasure rushed over him.
It was all too much and Yunho suddenly felt a smothering wave of emotion hit him. A sob escaped him and his hands dropped from the headboard, startling her as they caught the back of her head, still bound.
“Sorry,” he managed to get out, still overcome, when he heard her exclamation. He could feel them both panic around him as Mingi pulled himself out, still keeping hold of Yunho as she quickly unbound his hands and removed the blindfold.
“Did I hurt you?” Mingi asked, pulling him back to sit between his legs, pulling the other boys head back to rest on his chest.
“No,” Yunho shook his head but let out a shuddering sob even as he did. “It was just...it was so much.” He tried to put it into words but couldn’t find them.
“Hold him,” she instructed Mingi before getting off the bed and going into the bathroom. Yunho let himself melt into the embrace of the other boy as he muttered sweet nothings in his ear. Mingi told him how beautiful he looked, how wonderful he made him feel, how much happiness he brought into his life.
They were so absorbed in the whirlwind of emotions that they didn’t register the sound of the water being run into the large tub until she returned, softly asking Mingi to help her get him into the bath to clean up. Mingi nodded, sliding off the bed and putting an arm around Yunho, under his armpits, to help steady him as they walked to the bathroom.
“Get in first,” She instructed Mingi, letting him slip into the warm, scented water before she let Yunho get in afterwards.
“What about you,” Yunho reached out for her as he sat between Mingi’s legs.
“I’m just going to clean up a little and order some food,” she promised. “I’ll come back in a minute.” Yunho let his hand drop and relaxed into Mingi’s hold. After she left, closing the door gently behind her, they sat in silence for a moment, only the drip of the bathtub tap joining their breathing and the gentle lap of the water when one of them moved.
“You promise I...or we didn’t hurt you?” Mingi asked again, turning Yunho’s face to look at him. There was a sheen of pain in his eyes as he asked.
“No, you didn’t, neither of you,” Yunho swore, bringing up a wet hand to caress Mingi’s cheek. “I don’t know how to put it, but it felt so good that everything just hit me all at once. I love you both so much and…” he trailed off but felt another tear escape and turned his face to try and hide it.
“Don’t look away,” Mingi gently turned Yunho’s face toward him. “Can you smile for me?” He held Yunho’s face and ran the pad of his thumb over his cheek. Yunho laughed, looking at him with sparkling eyes.
They relaxed for a few more minutes in the water until she came back in. Her hair was damp and she was dressed in one of Yunho’s old oversized t-shirts. She had obviously showered and changed while the two boys had lain in the tub together.
“Are you two ready to get out or do you need a few more minutes?” She asked, kneeling down beside the tub. Yunho nodded and sat forward a little as she got up and retrieved a towel off the nearby rack. Yunho stepped out of the bath and she wrapped him up in the soft terry cloth, gently rubbing it against him to soak up the droplets of water on his skin. Yunho stepped to the side, letting Mingi get out of the water and open the drain, then receive the same warm care she had given him.
They followed her out of the bathroom and realized they must have been in there longer than they thought when they looked at what she had done with their room. The curtains were drawn over the window, hiding the darkness that had drawn down on the cool fallish world outside the window. The room however was warm and inviting. She had lit candles and placed them on most of the surfaces in the room, illuminating it with their flickering warmth. The bed had been remade with fresh sheets and the smell of their favorite perfume hung in the air. It felt like home.
“Here,” she brought them both to the foot of the bed where they found pyjamas waiting for them to put on. They slipped off their towels, putting their pjs on while she hung the damp towels back in the bathroom. The two boys climbed into the bed, sinking back into the pillows as they waited for her to join them.
“The food will be here soon,” she explained, slipping out and leaving them in the quiet of the room. They settled back into the pillows and Mingi reached out, taking the other boy’s hand. Candle light made the shadows in the room dance and Yunho let his mind wander. Today had been a good day, he felt warm and light as Mingi’s fingers played with his own.
“Are you okay?” Yunho asked Mingi when the silence stretched out between them.
“I think I want to cut my hair, too,” he said in response. Yunho turned to face him and let out a joyful giggle.
“Yeah?” Yunho queried between peels of laughter. “You want a change, too?”
“Yeah,” Mingi gave him a joyful grin. “You look so good with your blond hair and of course our girl always looks hot. I don’t want to be left behind.”
“No, babe,” Yunho shook his head, rolling closer to give his lover a little kiss. “You are so handsome. But if you want a haircut...I know a place now.”
“Was it fun?” Mingi asked, wrapping his arms around the other boy as he laid his head on his chest.
“Mandy was pretty cool,” He admitted. “And she did a great job. I bet she could do wonders with you.”
“You think so?” Mingi smiled down at Yunho’s face where it rested on his chest.
“Oof, I’m going to have to start worrying about competition for both of you if you two get any prettier than you already are.” Yunho teased.
“Mmm, maybe,” Mingi joked back. “Too bad for them, I’m already taken.”
“Yeah?” Yunho giggled, caressing his cheek. “Lucky us, nabing you first.”
“Yeah, lucky you,” Mingi gave him a confident look. “You got this gorgeous face...the body isn’t so bad either.” She came back into the room as Mingi finished his boast with a pleased, face splitting grin.
“Damn straight,” she said to both of them as she returned laden with bags of delicious smelling food. “You both have amazing bodies and I’m lucky enough to get to play with them all the time.”
She joined them, cuddling in beside them on the bed and they tucked into the food together. When they were all sated, they cleared the bed and curled up under the covers. Yunho passed her the book they had been reading together from the bedside table before he curled up against her, head resting on her chest. Mingi lay down on the other side of her, curling up with his head on her lap.
“The beach was full of completely white sand.” She read aloud. “The bay was like a half-moon stretching from one headland to the other, and it formed a trap for all that the winds swept round the island towards the leeward side. Driftwood lay piled up at the high water mark…” Her voice filled the room, its warmth matching the light of the candles that surrounded them. It was their favorite time of the day and a ritual they had begun over the last few weeks. She read through the chapter, finishing it before they brushed their teeth, blew out the candles, and slipped back under the covers to sleep. They all curled up together, limbs entwined, holding each other as they closed their eyes.
“Thank you for everything today,” Yunho whispered into her neck as he kissed it, nuzzling into its softness.
“Did you really enjoy it all,” she asked him quietly.
“It was amazing,” he confirmed. “I feel like I’m finally getting to be who I’m supposed to be with you two. I’m so happy you both picked me.”
“I’m so glad we found each other,” she stroked the arm he had thrown over her.
“I love you so very much,” he told her. “Maybe tomorrow I can put the blindfold on you and show you just how much you mean to me...to us...”

Red Hair, Don’t Care
Tumblr media
A/N: Inspired by the real events that was my husband helping me dye my hair last week
And away, and away we go!
~~~
“Yes!” you cheered, picking up the small package on the doorstep before going inside.
“Hey, gorgeous,” you boyfriend, Ashton, greeted from his spot on the couch. “What’s that?” he asked, nodding at the box in your hand.
“Hair dye!” you grinned.
“Aw, but I love your hair, gorgeous.”
You ran a hand through your brown locks as you took a seat next to him on the couch. “It’s just hair, Ash. Plus brown is so boring...”
“My hair’s brown…”
“You’re a blonde, Ash. An almost brown-blonde, but still blonde. Which is cool. Brunette-brown though? Not so cool.”
“So, that’s why Cal keeps fucking with his hair.”
“Shut up,” you laughed. “Are you gonna help me with this or what?”
He placed a kiss on the top of your hair, “Alright, gorgeous. Let’s do this.”
~~~
“So, how much am I supposed to put in?” Ashton said, looking at the red goop sitting on the bathroom counter.
“Just enough to coat my hair in it,” you told him. You had changed into a tank top and had a towel wrapped around your shoulders.
“Alright, here we go,” Ashton said, dipping his glove-covered hands into the red goop and plopping in on your head. “So like what is this? I mean, it’s hair dye, but like…” Ashton asked, his voice trailing off as he massaged the dye into your hair.
“It's conditioner, actually,” you told him. “It’s supposed to be a safe way to dye your hair. Without all the chemicals and stuff.”
“Damn, someone shoulda told Mike about this shit years ago,” Ashton giggled.
You smiled at him through the mirror as Ashton’s large hands continued to scoop and massage more dye into your hair. “Shit,” Ashton muttered as the dye smeared across your forehead. “Sorry, gorgeous.”
“It’s alright, it’ll wash off in the shower.”
“Oh, so you’re gonna stain my whole bathroom red, huh?” Ashton asked, raising an eyebrow in pretend anger.
“Oh, it’s gonna look like a crime scene, Ash,” you laughed, making him giggle. “We can do you next?”
“I’ll think about it… let’s just see how this comes out on you first.”
~~~
“Damn…” you muttered, running your fingers through your damp hair. It looked to be only a few shades darker than your natural brown, and it certainly didn’t look red.
“What’s wrong?” Ashton said, peeking his head in the bathroom.
You frowned and turned to look at him, letting him see his handiwork. “It’s just darker…”
“Aw, sorry love.”
You shrugged, “It’s alright. I forget that I need to do light colors and then do dark colors if I want it to work.”
“You’ve done this before?”
You nodded. “Yeah, Ash. Let’s see, I did black. Which kinda turned out how this did- not very noticeable. And I did blonde a few years back which came out super good.”
“Blonde, huh?” He liked the image in his head of you with blonde hair.
You nodded again, “Yeah. Wanna see?” You scrolled through your pictures to find you with blonde hair to show him.
“Damn, gorgeous. Blonde looks good on you,” he told you, licking his lips. The real picture was better than the picture in his head.
“Maybe I’ll do that next, then.”
He grinned, “Yeah. Alright, so my turn?”
“Wait, you’re actually gonna dye your hair with me?”
He shrugged, “Yeah, why not?”
“Okay!”
~~~
“Oh, you bitch ass blonde boy!” you growled as Ashton toweled off his clearly red hair.
“Babe!” Ashton said, laughing in shock at your outburst.
“That’s not fair…” you pouted. “That’s the color I wanted.”
“Gorgeous, it’s only hair,” he reminded you. “C’mon, wanna take a picture with me?”
You smiled and nodded.
He quickly styled his hair before grabbing you and his phone. You grinned at the camera while he kissed your cheek. “Alright, how’s this?” he asked, showing you the post he was about to make.
You looked at the caption- “We have well and truly lost our minds #redhairdontcare #ourbathroomlookslikeacrimescene”
“Perfect,” you told him, reaching up to kiss his lips.

SOULMATE AU
Words: 2000+
Summary: You spent a large chunk of your life not knowing if your soulmate was even alive. Your tattoo never darkening, leaving you in a dark spot until the day you found him.
You lived in a world where everyone had a tattoo like marking just like their supposed other half, their ‘soulmate’. No other pair had the same marking. It became darker the closer your soulmate was to you, or lighter the farther away they get.
Around the age of 11 is when yours appeared on the back of your left hand, a pair of birds joined together with a crescent moon shape above it. You waited for the day it’d become the dark black you desired, but it was always a white or light grey.
You were currently 23 and it never even got close to a dark grey. It stayed a pale white. A lonely, ghostly white.
When you were 20, it had caused you to move from your family home and begin to isolate yourself whenever possible not being able to see the pitying eyes any longer.
Jealousy raged through you like a thick fog during this time but there was nothing you could do but wait.
But you soon enough you had found some happiness in your roommates.
You lived with your new friend Amiki and her soulmate Naoko, all of you just barely able to pay off your two-bedroom apartment together. They both had quirks, Naoko himself worked for a hero agency as a sidekick when possible.
You on the other hand…
You were quirk-less. You worked full time for the ‘Community Center’, only earning three dollars more than minimum wage. You did anything for them, being as that you weren’t the best at saying no. You were almost there pack mule of the company.
You stood up from the office chair and sucked in a breath as you stretch your arms high into the air, your back making a loud crack before you let your arms drop. You grabbed your jacket and purse, letting them lazily sit in your arms as you reach for all the paperwork on your desk, a few slid underneath and you decided to just pick them up tomorrow.
You stepped out of the small, almost closet-sized, room. The lights already off in the building, you slumped your shoulders and walked along the wall towards the exit, you straightened up once you heard laughing voices. You could see two figures standing in the lobby, the only part still lit up in the building.
“(Y/N)! There you are! I was looking everywhere for you!” Your supervisor called, you just stood in front of him, quirking an eyebrow. He and your shift lead snickered, bumping each other with their arms like they were both in on a secret joke.
“Why…?” You were hesitant to ask, you just wanted to go home, and knowing him for a while you already knew he needed you to do something that could have been done by anyone.
“I need you to go to the upper floor and set it up for seating around the table for fifty and around the wall for one hundred and fifty.”
“But I’m off for the night?” You mumbled in question and glanced at your shift lead who had a tentacle arm quirk. He could indisputably do the job in 30 minutes where it’d take you to triple that.
“I knew I could count on you. See you at eight tomorrow!” He shouted, choosing to ignore you. He brought his hand down on your back, hard, in what they would call a ‘friendly gesture’. The items you had flew out of your arms, scattering all over the ground. They just laughed as they walked out of the entrance, leaving you in the building alone.
You wondered why you didn’t quit but then it all came rushing to you, you couldn’t afford it.
‘You just have to be patient.’ You thought to yourself as you looked at your pale tattoo. ‘The day will come eventually.’
You slowly gathered the discarded belongings from the cold stone floor. You straightened your skirt and walked towards the elevator so you could just rush in and leave.
You headed to the upper floor, what was called the ‘Skyline Meeting Room’. It was only for big company meetings but there hadn’t been one scheduled for tomorrow so you thought the whole thing was a waste of your time.
You half-assed the setup and by the time you finally got to the apartment the time had already hit one in the morning. You forgot to lock the door as you headed straight to your room, not even managing to take off the business required black pencil skirt, dark blue button-up, and black two-inch heels, you fell into an uncomfortable slumber aided by your exhaustion.
Your dreams were filled with strange creatures of many colors and variety, a normal dream that you wouldn’t remember when you woke up.
The smell of burnt toast and the sound of shuffling in the apartment disturbed your rest. You rolled off the bed figuring it was time to wake up anyways. Cringing at the uncomfortably twisted clothes, you busted out of your room and straight into the bathroom, looking at the small clock hanging on the wall.
You eyes narrowing to focus past your sleepy daze, you could see the small hand on 6 and the big hand near the bottom. You decided it was around 6:30 in the morning and decided you would just rush your routine. You jumped in the shower, being quick to wash up before almost slipping out of the shower. Before standing in the mirror and brushing your hair and teeth before running across the hall to your room to put on some clothes.
You walked into the kitchen wearing a fresh new skirt and blouse, not wanting to put the agonizing heels on just yet. You bounced on your toes as you looked at the cereal selection in the cabinet.
A loud gasp followed by shatter made you whip around in shock. Your roommate stood staring at you with wide eyes her, her shoulder tense and her hands still in the original form when she was holding the now destroyed plate.
“Amiki what’s wrong?” You snapped out, your heart racing from the sudden loud noises.
“Your tattoo!” She screamed, her arm flying up, her other hand covering her mouth. You quickly brought your arm up seeing the marking an almost black. The breath caught in your throat, as you just stared at it.
“Oh my god!” You yelled out and she shoved you in pure excitement, you stumbling before catching yourself on the counter, holding onto it like it was your life support.
“You gotta go find him!” She yelled, a wide smile resting on her face.
You had the same look as you stared at your hand until the realization set in and your smile faded, your thumb rubbing over the marking.  “I have work I can’t-”
“Fuck work! Call in sick!” She placed her hands on her hips, eyebrows quirked in an angry look.
“Ami I… I can’t. I just have to hope he finds me.”
“Your work better be glad to have someone as dedicated as you.” She sighed, seeing the sad look that adorned your face. You both quietly continuing your morning routine with a few additional glances at your hand.
Once you got to work, you shoved past the large body of people in front of your work building, you held up your badge for the security at the door and they let you through with a grunt.
“Hey, what’s going on?” You asked the front desk assistant, she cocked her eyebrow, seeming irritated with your simple question.
“You’re joking right?” She almost snapped, you quickly shook your head and she brought her hand up, rubbing her temples before speaking quickly. “We’re hosting the annual pro hero meeting. I thought you would have known, seeing as that you have more clearance with these things than I do. Is that good?”
“Yes, thank you.” You quickly said, moving away from her station you headed up towards your ‘office’. You saw a small typed note on your door and yanked it off.
‘(Y/N), Come up to the Skyline Meeting Room and stand out in front of the doors. There is a cart of refreshments for our distinguished guests that will need to be distributed during the 15-minute break. Just stay put and wait for my instructions. -HK’
Your shoulders slumped as you dropped your belongings into your office before fast walking to the elevator. You walked up to the doors and stood next to one of the guards. You stood straight up and held your hands together, covering your tattoo in the process.
You watched as a few pro heroes walked into the room, but only one caught your eye. You watched as the jet-black pro walked past. He seemed stressed as he walked into the room, his eyes moved everywhere almost seeming to be searching the ground for answers.
You felt a small vibration a few minutes later and pulled out your phone, a message.
‘Bring me tea now.’
You grabbed the tea from the cart and slipped into the room, bringing in the tea for your boss as requested. You had your head down as you headed over to him on the sidelines. The meeting had already started. You handed him the tea and promptly walked out, standing outside the door, waiting for further instructions. Unknown to you of the eyes that followed you around inside.
As time went by you felt another buzz and quickly looked down to your phone, ‘A simple, ‘Bring in the carts’ popped up and you grabbed onto one of the carts, quickly pushing it towards the door, one of the security guards held the doors open as you moved the cart of refreshments. You nodded to him as you pushed it in. There was a large amount of what seemed like friendly chatter. You put on a fake smile as you walked around. You offered the drinks around, and handed them to people with your left hand hiding your marking for no real reason.
They all were super friendly, answering with pleases and thank you’s. All but two, Ground Zero who already had his reputation and Tsukuyomi who still seemed frazzled as he intently starred as you walked around the table.
Once you finished your rounds you walked towards the exit. You could faintly hear past the loud talking a chair squeal as it was pushed from somewhere with force, quick footsteps approached before your right wrist was ripped from the cart. The pro hero Tsukuyomi was staring at your marking intently.
“I’m sorry, but could you let go?” You whispered in shock, you paled a bit seeing the whole room was staring at you two, cameras pointed in your direction. It was more of his unexpected behavior that had everyone quiet.
You watched as the feathers on his head puffed up. He held onto your wrist, his thumb ran over your marking a few times before his hand slipped into yours in a smooth motion. The other moved to push his cape away from his arm, he twisted it towards you, his eyes never leaving yours. You could see the dark black tattoo on his forearm.
It matched yours perfectly.
You stared for a few more seconds before your head snapped up to look at him, he released your hands as he scooped you up in a tight hug. It didn’t take you any time to wrap your arms around his neck in pure bliss. He’s what you’ve been waiting for all this time.
Your eyes flooded with happy tears as he spun you around. As he set you down, his hands slid back into yours as he bumped his forehead against yours. Your eyes shut as you sat there for a minute, a wide smile on your face.
“Tsukuyomi! Tsukuyomi!” The press called at him.
He ignored them as he leaned into your ear, “I’m Fumikage Tokoyami.”
You whispered back yours, still dazed from the fast and unanticipated meeting of your soulmate.
A bombardment of questions flowed out like a dam breaking, the camera flashes were almost blinding.
“Is that your soulmate?” “Did you know she was here?” “Are you just meeting?” “What’s her name?” “What are you going to do now?”
He just stood blocking most of the camera’s from your view as his cape covered your side.
“Those questions will all be answered eventually. As of now no comment.” He said before pulling you around and pushing you out the door before they shut.
“(Y/N)! (Y/N)!” You supervisor called, you stopped and looked over your shoulder before turning around to face him. His face was red with anger. “And where do you think you are going?” He snapped and you looked at the ground.
“I was just-”
“You planned this didn’t you?” He growled steam pouring from his ears in anger. “You can’t just leave now!” “Yes, sir.” You mumbled, your hand covering your tattoo in instinct. Your body was then abruptly tugged to the side, you looked up to see a cloudy blackbird hovering over Tokoyami’s form
“She will no longer be working here. Effective immediately.”

A Not So Brief Hiatus P.7
First Previous Next
Ao3
Hey everyone! Sorry this update’s so late, school kicked up, so I’ve been trying to juggle that, my internship and this. I’m super excited that we finally got to the introduction of the Fox hero. Alya’s section of the fic will end soon, and we’ll be moving onto the next character, which will be fun :)
Anyways, hope you enjoy, and likes and reblogs are always appreciated.
Corporislatro, I am Hawkmoth. Aren’t you tired of your best friend acting as though she’d be anything without you? I’m giving you the power to make your best friend walk in your shoes, and you in hers. In return, you must bring me Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculouses.
Do we have a deal?
“Yes Hawkmoth.”
---
“shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!” Marinette whispered, clambering downstairs, Tikki floating close behind.
Tikki suddenly yelped, and dove into the fruit bowl on the counter.
Before she could react, Marinette heard a noise.
She stiffened.
Sabine walked out in her robe, blearily rubbing her eyes.
“Marinette honey, what’s going on?”
Marinette shushed her.
“It’s an akuma. Go back into your room, and stay there,” she said, pushing her mom back towards her parents’ room.
As she moved to close the door, Sabine grabbed her wrist.
“What about you?” She said, and began pulling Marinette in.
Another cackle sounded from outside, and Sabine paused.
“Marinette,” Alya’s singsong voice floated through the house. “Where are you girl?”
Sabine’s eyes widened. “Is that–”
Marinette shut the door on her mom’s face.
“I’ll be fine!” Marinette said through the door. “I’m just going back up to my room, and I’m gonna lock myself in. I’ll be safe, I promise.”
She heard her mom pounding on her frame as she dashed off.
She wondered how long it would take before Sabine remembered that that door locked from the inside.
Marinette ducked behind the couch, away from the living room window.
Tikki zipped out of the fruit bowl.
“That was a close call,” She said.
“Yeah, no kidding,” Marinette replied. “Let’s get this done quickly, I owe Alya an explanation. Tikki, Spots On!”
The transformation washed over her.
Ladybug emerged from behind the couch, sneaking into the hall and out the backdoor, and swung her way onto the roof of the school as quietly as she could.
She surveyed the area, spotting Alya’s akumatized form pacing back and forth on her the Dupain-Cheng balcony.
Ladybug pulled out her yoyo, using the camera to get a closer look.
She started when she saw Alya.
Her hair was pulled into two ponytails at the back of her head, and she wore a light grey, almost white jacket, and a black shirt with white cherry blossoms and pink vines on them. Her pants were a darker, more muted version of the same pink, and she wore a similarly colored cross body purse.
“She’s wearing my clothes,” Ladybug breathed.
Akuma Alya turned, and stomped her foot.
Ladybug noted the black tears running down her face, and her white eyes, devoid of any pupil or iris.
Ladybug’s eyes narrowed, and she zoomed in with her yoyo, looking for anything that stood out, that might house the akuma.
“Fancy mew-ting you here, milady.”
Ladybug let out a startled squeak and fell forward.
She felt someone grab her wrist, and pull her back.
As soon as she regained her footing, Chat let go of her wrist.
“Sorry,” he said quietly, running a hand through his hair. “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
He crouched next to her. “So, what do we know?”
“The akuma is Alya Césaire, the author of the Ladyblog. Still not sure what her powers are, or why she got akumatized, but I’m guessing it has something to do with Marinette Dupain Cheng, her best friend. She was looking for her earlier, and that’s whose balcony she’s standing on. And before you ask,” Ladybug said, holding up her hand as Chat tried to interrupt her, “Marinette is safe. I have her in a secure hiding place. Alya won’t find her.”
“Okay good,” Chat said with a nod. “Alya again,” he murmured. “Seems the poor thing’s having a rough go at it. Oblivio only happened a few weeks ago.”
Ladybug felt a twinge of guilt at that.
“Well, if we get this done fast, we can talk to her afterwards and check on how she’s doing,” Chat said.
Ladybug nodded.
“Okay,” she said.
The two sprang forward, and Ladybug swung onto the balcony, Chat Noir touching down a second later.
Akumatized Alya shrieked, seemingly put on defense. She hopped back, sprinting across the rooftops, Ladybug and Chat Noir in hot pursuit.
The two followed her onto the roof of a greenhouse, where Alya gave them a mocking salute and fell back, shattering the pane she fell on.
The duo hopped in after her, landing in the middle of a variety of plants.
Ladybug backed up slowly until she bumped backs with Chat Noir. She drew her yoyo, but waited to turn it into her barrier, knowing the light it gave off would put a target on their back.
Chat did the same, holding his baton with one hand, his other hand ghosting Ladybug’s hip, assuring her of his presence.
They held their position, looking around for Alya.
The greenhouse was unnaturally quiet.
Ladybug felt the hairs on her neck stand on end.
“Look out!” she yelled, just as Akumatized Alya dropped down from a bar on the ceiling, firing beams of light at them from two wristlets.
Ladybug and Chat Noir dove in separate directions, and dodged the incoming beams.
“Stand still!” the akuma roared.
“Keep her busy!” Ladybug commanded.
Chat nodded.
He ran right for her, batting the beams of light out of the way with his baton. “You trying to get a picture of me for the Ladyblog Alya?” He asked, bringing his baton down, right where the akuma was standing.
The akuma sidestepped the attack, and drove her elbow into Chat’s ribs. “It’s not Alya anymore, it’s Corporislatro,” she said, smashing her hand into his face.
Chat flew back and rolled back into a somersault, landing on his feet. “Don’t you know Alya? Cat’s always land on their feet.”
Corporislatro bared her teeth. “I’m going to relieve you of all nine of your lives kitty cat,” she hissed, charging Chat.
Chat’s eyes widened, and he leapt out of the way, tripping the akuma. “Meowch,” he said, “I love a good cat pun but that one was just plain vicious.”
He saw a flash of light out of the corner of his eye, and Ladybug holding what looked to be…a box of tea?
Ladybug’s eyes lit up in recognition. “I’ll be back!” She shouted, throwing her yoyo out through the shattered window, launching herself into the sky.
Chat cursed under his breath.
Guess he was gonna be babysitting.
He turned back to Corpwhatever and sighed at the wolfish grin she threw his way.
“I hope I don't have to get a rabies shot after this,” he said, and drew his baton.
---
Marinette burst into Master Fu’s studio.
“Master! I need your help.”
Fu nodded, and turned to the phonograph.
He drew the miracle box from it, and opened it in front of her.
“Pick an ally to help you on this mission,” Fu began, and Marinette tuned him out.
She looked down at the options.
Turtle?
No. Corporislatro was too fast.
Bee?
No. She was too evasive, and could switch to using those beams to attack from a distance.
Dragon?
There wasn’t any point. The akuma didn’t seem to have any weakness to the elements.
What she needed was a distraction.
Marinette’s hand drifted towards the Fox.
She hesitated.
Was that too soon? Would bringing out Alya’s old miraculous to use against her be rubbing salt in the wound?
“Trust your intuition Marinette,” Fu said.
Marinette nodded, and grabbed the Fox Miraculous.
Fu handed her the box, and she gingerly put the necklace inside.
“Do you have someone in mind?”
Her phone vibrated.
Luka⚡️10:58pm: There’s an akuma in the greenhouse near your house. Stay inside. Stay safe.
Marinette smiled. “I think I have the perfect candidate.”
----
Ladybug cursed, leaping onto another rooftop. The boat had been empty.
She sprinted past her bakery, then came to a screeching halt.
Her parents were outside the bakery, talking with someone.
She dropped down in front of them. “Monsieur, Madame, you need to get inside, it isn’t safe for you to–”
Her sentence trailed off, and she realized who her parents were talking to.
Luka raised his hand in greeting.
“The akuma has our daughter!” Sabine sobbed, quickly drawing her attention back to the problem at hand.
“It’s alright love,” Tom said, pressing a kiss to his wife’s forehead. “Ladybug is here now, she’ll fix this.”
Ladybug took Sabine’s hand. “Marinette is safe. The akuma was targeting her, so I took her somewhere protected. She’s hiding now and she’s in good hands: the akuma can’t get to her. I apologize for the scare.”
Sabine nodded, and gave her a watery smile.
“Thank you, Ladybug.”
Ladybug smiled back. “Is there anything you can tell me about this akuma?”
“Her power seems like it makes people switch personalities,” Luka responded. “She hit my sister, and my sister started acting like her girlfriend. It even changed her hair and clothes to match, and she was crying these black tears,” he said with a shudder.
“After hitting her, the akuma tried hitting my mom and I, but lost her patience and left, and Jule-Rose seems fine. The akuma had said something about finding Marinette, so I ran here, to try and make sure she was safe.”
Ladybug nodded. “Any other details?”
Luka shook his head.
“Well then, we best be getting you home.”
Ladybug looped her free arm around Luka, and turned back to her parents.
“Monsieur, Madame, for your safety, please get back inside.”
Sabine squeezed Ladybug’s hand, and her and Tom went back into the bakery.
Ladybug breathed a sigh of relief, and grabbed her yoyo, launching them into the air.
She dropped them in a nearby alleyway.
“Ladybug why did we–” Ladybug thrust the box at him.
“Luka Couffaine, this is the Miraculous of the Fox, which grants the power of illusion. You will use it for the greater good, and when the mission is over, you will return it to me. Can I trust you?”
Luka’s eyes crinkled in confusion.
“What about Viperion?”
“Not the right choice for this mission,” she said.
“But isn’t there already a fox?”
“She asked to be retired,” Ladybug explained, feeling the familiar tightening in her chest.
Luka nodded, not pressing the matter, which she appreciated.
He opened the box, and Trixx shot out.
“Heya new guy! The name’s Trixx, I’m your kwami, you know the drill. Remember to focus when you cast your mirage, and keep playing until you want it to fall. To detransform, it’s Trixx, let’s rest, and to transform, just say Trixx, let’s pounce.”
Luka slipped on the necklace. “Trixx, let’s pounce!”
The transformation washed over him, giving him a fur trimmed hood, and a sharper mask, with an orange line under each eye, coming down to a point on his nose.
Ladybug tilted her head.
His suit was mostly cream colored, with gradients of orange concentrated at his joints and on his head.
She’d never seen a fox quite like it.
“Let’s head out,” he said, leaping onto the roof.
“So, what do you want me to call you?” Ladybug asked, jogging next to him.
Luka hummed. “Euterpe,” he said finally.
The two stopped across the way from the greenhouse, where they could see flashes of bright light coming from within.
Euterpe’s eyes widened. “Is Chat–”
“Alone in there with Corporislatro? Yeah. Listen, I need you to stay hidden, alright? This is Alya, even in her akumatized form, she'll know what having the fox around means, and she'll be on the lookout for illusions.”
Euterpe nodded. “I’ll stick to the shadows,” he said, peeling off from their spot and perching on the roof, watching the fight from above.
Ladybug dropped down through the roof, landing in front of Chat Noir, reflecting one of Corporislatro’s beams back towards her.
“I thought you were bringing a friend!” Chat said, knocking a beam to the side with his baton.
Ladybug threw her yoyo, the end wrapping around the ceiling beam, and swung at Corporislatro, driving her feet into the akuma’s chest, sending her flying.
“I did!” she said, dropping back onto the ground. “I told him to wait to make his appearance.”
Chat feigned offense. “So when he makes a grand entrance, it’s ‘fine’, and ‘Ladybug approved,’ but when I make a grand entrance it’s ‘a strategic misstep’ and ‘showboating’, I see how it is Bugaboo.”
Ladybug laughed, her back turned to where the akuma was.
Chat’s eyes widened when he saw the beam coming for her.
“Ladybug watch out!” He thrust his hand forward.
Ladybug turned, and the beam hit her square in the chest.
Chat flung his baton like a boomerang, sending Corporislatro flying once more.
He caught the baton, and turned back to Ladybug, who was doubled over.
Chat watched in horror as her hair receded, changing into a short pixie cut. Two antennae sprung from above her temples, and her suit turned black, with a solitary red spot spanning the majority of her mask, her face covered in the same black tears as Alya’s. Shiny, bug-like armor covered her torso, and her yoyo disappeared.
She stood up, eyes still closed, and Chat noticed two red spots, one on each cheek.
Her eyes opened, and Chat recoiled.
Ladybug’s eyes were indigo.
Her now-indigo eyes widened.
“Oh no,” she breathed. Chat rushed forward.
“What happened?” He asked, placing his hands on her face.
The second he touched her, he flinched.
Waves of pure energy rolled off of her. This was not Ladybug, this was something even more powerful, something ancient.
He recognized the energy.
“Tikki?” Ladyb-Tikki nodded.
“Alya’s power seems to swap whoever gets hit’s body with their best friend.”
Something bubbled up in Chat’s chest, but he shoved that feeling down.
This was serious.
Chat grabbed Tikkibug, who responded with a small, “eep!” and jumped out the building, stumbling upon the white fox.
“Change of plans Foxtrot, we need to go, now.”
The new hero nodded, tucking his flute in between his sash and his back, and ran after them.
Once they were far enough away, Chat placed Tikkibug on the ground gently.
“Is she…” Chat’s sentence trailed off, not sure how to finish the thought.
“Ladybug’s fine,” Tikkibug confirmed. “I can sense her freaking out, but she’s aware of what’s going on. It just means she’s having to control our powers now.”
Tikkibug held out her hand, and the yoyo appeared in it in a flash of light. “I haven’t been in control in a couple of millennia, but I have access to more power than Ladybug does at the moment. I would prefer not to use it, because without me moderating the flow of power it can get a little…messy very quickly.”
“What do you mean by messy?” The fox hero asked.
Tikkibug winced. “I just wanted to summon some water, but ended up submerging an entire city.”
“Oh, that kind of messy,” the fox hero said, his voice an octave higher than it was before. He took a breath and turned to Chat. “Nice to meet you by the way, I’m Euterpe.” He stuck his hand out.
Chat took his hand, and shook it, marveling at how soft his suit looked, and tried not to think about Tikki admitting to sinking Atlantis. “Nice to meet you, Euterpe.”
“What’s the plan?” Euterpe asked, turning to Tikkibug.
She furrowed her brow. “We need to get Alya into an enclosed location, so we can limit her potential targets, and corner her, but one big enough to maneuver in.”
“What about the Grand Palais?” Euterpe suggested.
Tikkibug nodded. “That should work.”

aiko bon “Profile Interview” Chapter 1 (Part 2/3)
Tumblr media
ーPersonality-wise, would you say you were a pretty lively little kid?
aiko: I’m an extremely positive kind of person. I was a real weirdo as a kid. Like, so weird you wouldn’t have been surprised to hear I’d accidentally eaten an eraser. (laughs) In the middle of winter I’d go out in short-sleeve shirts because that’s what I wanted to wear. My absolute favorite clothes were this floor tile beige shirt made out of something similar to gauze, and another shirt in the same color with sunflowers embroidered onto them. I’d pair them with a skirt that was a slightly darker beige, and yellow/white sandals. I went to a piano lesson dressed like that, shivering and sniveling, and my piano teacher told me to go home. I think that was in December or January? I was riding my red “Candy Candy” bicycle home from that and spotted my dad on the other side of the intersection, so I shouted, “Daddy! I went to the piano teacher’s house and she told me to go home!” real loud. But then my dad saw the way I was dressed and he said, “Very funny!” (laughs)
ーYou guys have a nice relationship. (laughs)
aiko: I did a lot of things that startled my parents. There was this lady in my neighborhood named Hama-chan. One time we were eating yakiniku with her when she started choking on a piece of meat. I saw her trying to cough it up and yelled really loudly that she had meat stuck in her ‘tailpipe’ instead of her ‘windpipe’. (laughs) Another thing that happened to me… I went to the hospital when I came down with chickenpox, and they quarantined me because it was contagious. I kept saying, “I didn’t do anything wrong, so do I gotta be here?” They made us wait for a really long time. As soon as my mom said, “It’s getting pretty late… Mom’s tired too,” I ran all the way up to the receptionist’s desk and said, “EXCUSE ME buuuuut is it Aiko’s turn yet? IS IT MY TURN YET???” two times really, really loudly. (laughs) We used to go to public baths every now and then. Anytime someone with tattoos was there, I’d say, “MISTER! LOOK! You missed a spot!” (laughs) All they could really do was laugh and say, “Listen kiddo, I got these ‘cause I’m bad. They’re drawn on.” Then I’d just keep asking more questions. “You mean you can’t take those OFF?!”
ーYou’ve got such a great personality. (laughs)
aiko: Do I? (laughs) Kids are really good at pointing out people who are different or weird when they see them, now that I think of it. I was too. When I was on the train,  I’d say, “Mooom, look at that lady……” and she told me not to point. So then the next time I said, “Mooom, look at that lady. Mooom,” pointing with my whole fist instead of my finger. (laughs) She told me she wasn’t even mad, it just made her laugh.
ーYou can’t really be mad when something like that happens. (laughs)
aiko: Also, apparently my mom cried in front of the washing machine in the bathroom whenever she and my dad got into a fight. She told me anytime she ever did that, I’d come over and tug on her apron saying, “Mooom. Moooom, hang in there.” She told me I’d always do that to cheer her up.
ーThis might be rude of me, but you sound like you were a pretty funny kid. (laughs)
aiko: It’s fine, I think I was too. (laughs) But I did other things that’d make me wanna pull my hair out as an adult. When I was in like, elementary school, I’d draw pictures of naked girls. I’m not really sure why I drew pictures like that, other than because I’d seen them in movies…… I guess my bad daydreaming habit goes back pretty far, huh? I also liked bandages. I’d wrap my leg in bandages and pretend like I’d sprained it even though it didn’t hurt. I enjoyed the bandages but then I’d get my leg caught on my bike and actually hurt myself, stuff like that. I really did like bandages a lot. I guess I just liked things that looked ‘vulnerable’. Like, “Oh, dear me…”
ーIt made you feel like the heroine of something.
aiko: Yeah, that’s it. I’d say lines out loud to myself, like I was acting out a drama all on my own. I didn’t like getting attention though. I really hated it when people fussed over me. People would all touchy-feely with me because I was the only small child in my extended family at the time, asking me to sing them songs and stuff. They’d all start laughingーand I realize now that I just made them happyーbut I thought they were all ridiculing me. I got super embarrassed and really hated it.
ーSo you say, but you’re not really the shy type, are you?
aiko: Not at all. So I started doing it for money. (laughs) And not small change either. I’d tell them, “I’m not THAT cheap. 500 yen please.” (laughs)
ーYou already had the soul of an entertainer. (laughs)
aiko: Right? You know how there’s that game you play with babies where you hold out scissors, money and a pen, and whichever one they grab first is supposed to predict their future? I grabbed the money first. Maybe that’s why. (laughs) But I really hated like, New Year’s for that reason. I’ve got a lot of relatives so of course I got a lot of money on New Year’s, and I always held my tongue then, but other than that I absolutely hated getting so much attention.
ーWhy is that?
aiko: I’ve always hated taking naps. I really hated having to open up to people too. But on New Year’s we’d go to a bunch of different people’s houses and stay up late at night, which meant I wanted to sleep, but I didn’t want to sleep at someone else’s house. I’d be so tired I couldn’t keep my eyes open and yet I still insisted that I didn’t want to sleep. I’d just wait until we were in the car and fall asleep on the way home. I even did that pretty recently! I went out for some drinks and couldn’t bring myself to say I was hammered in front of people. I hate letting people see me when I’m weak… I also really hated being the topic of discussion when I was little. I hated that… even though I was almost like, desperate to do things that people would end up talking about later. (laughs) Whenever people talked about something I did, I’d go hang out at the candy store and waste time until I thought they’d be done talking about me.
ーWere you a timid kid?
aiko: I don’t really think I was. When I got hurt I’d cry about it, go home, and that’d be it. One time my friend kicked a metal trash can at the park and it smacked me square in the face. I’d also pretended to be Ultraman and got dragged by a swing, all kinds of stuff. I’d just play and play like nothing even happened. Oh, speaking of which, one time I brought a dead cat home with me. I dragged this dead as a door nail cat I found floating in a ditch behind me like an umbrella, then I put it in a brand spanking new Hello Kitty toolbox I’d just bought and brought it home. I thought I needed to bury it because it was dead. When I got home I stood in the doorway and said, “Daaaad! It’s DEAD! WAHHH!”... he took one look at me, closed the door, and locked it. (laughs) You see, my dad got up for the day around the time I got home from school. He was so stunned that I showed him a dead cat as soon as he woke up, he must’ve thought I was crazy. (laughs) He wouldn’t let me back in the house, so I just went to the park and buried it instead.
Nothing really scared you, did it?
aiko: Not really. I’m scared of them now, but as a kid I was totally fine with roller coasters and stuff like that. I used to get on rides meant for kids meant for elementary school kids when I was in kindergarten. The attendants would ask, “What grade are you in, miss?” and I’d say, “I’m in first grade!” They’d say, “Really? How old are you?” And I’d tell them I was 7. I’d always get busted when I’d lie about my age and they asked me what year I was born. My dad was so concerned that I’d get caught.
ーSo what DID scare you?
aiko: I was so scared of exploding noises, like party poppers and balloons popping. And clocks chiming on the hour. My mom and dad would fix the time on the clock by asking for the time over the phone, and it scared me out of my mind. For example, one time my dad had this clock, and my mom had the time-telling number on the phone saying countdown out loud: “3:30:25! 26! 27!” Seeing my dad fix the clock scared me more than anything. I was scared, terrified even, of the way it was robotically counting out the numbers. I didn’t like the lack of emotion in it I guess. Maybe it just scared me that it was saying it really loudly without any feeling in it. People are loud when they’re fighting because they’re full of emotions, right? That didn’t really scare me at all, I was just scared of how cool and disinterested it sounded. Oh, and also the opening theme song to “Mito Komon”. The “DUN, DUN DUN DUN” in the beginning made me cry every time.
ーWhat kind of TV shows did you like back then?
aiko: I used to watch stuff like The Drifters’ show “8-Ji Da yo! Zenin Shuugou (It’s 8’o’Clock! Everybody Gather ‘Round!)” a lot. I’d just laugh and laugh. But anytime I watched “Oretachi Hyoukin Zoku (We’re the Hyoukin Clan)”, my dad would be mad at me and tell me not to watch stuff like that… even though he was watching it and laughing too. (laughs) I also loved “Hirake! Ponkikki (Open Up, Ponkikki!)” and would watch that a lot too. My favorite cartoons were “Marvelous Melmo” and “Asari-chan”. Of course, I loved music shows since I loved singing so much though. I hear that I was telling people I was gonna be a singer as early as 3 years old. My mom mostly likes Japanese pop music like Southern All Stars, and my dad likes classical music, soul, The Beatles, that kind of thing. Seems like my dad wanted to be singer when he was young too. (laughs) My love of music is probably my parents’ doing.
ーI bet you sang 24/7 at home, didn’t you?
aiko: I’d lock myself in my room and sing constantly like I was doing a one-person concert. I played music on my ladybug-shaped Columbia record player. Sometimes I’d get sent to my room whenever my parents got mad at me for doing something bad, but since I had my piano and my record player in there, I had a pretty good time anyway. (laughs)
ーWhat songs did you sing a lot?
aiko: They have an 8 mm video of me singing “High School Lullaby” (by The Imokin Trio) or something, where I’m just going, “But you’re so cold, so cold~” (laughs) I used to sing Pink Lady songs a lot too. Singing, “I lied~ to you~ And now I don’t know what to do~” and dancing. I also liked the song “Akai Hana Shiroi Hana (Red Flower White Flower)ーthe one that goes “I’m gonna pick~ a red flower and give it to him”ーwhich my mom used to sing for me. I really liked folk songs like that one. I also loved “Minna no Uta (Songs for Everyone)”. And Julie (Sawada Kenji) and Go Hiromi, I liked them a lot too. Oh yeah! I used to really love Akira’s voice, from Finger 5! I was so small back then that I didn’t understand what the name “Finger 5” even meant, but I absolutely loved his voice. Man did I love Shioni though.
ー’Shioni’?
aiko: I used to call Go Hiromi “Shioni” as a kid. I’d say “Shioni! Shioni!” and kiss the TV. (laughs) It felt so strange being on Music Station with ‘Shioni’ for the first time. He said, “Isn’t this awesome? Check out my belt!” and showed me the belt with a lion face he was wearing. It felt SO weird to me. I was like, “Shioni is really right here in front of me right now… ?”
ーWas there anyone else you admired at the time?
aiko: Matsuda Seiko and Matsumoto Iyo, I guess? I went to one of Seiko’s concerts and got to meet her up close and personal in her dressing room. I was SO thrilled. She was reaaaally pretty and cute! When I got to meet Kyonkyon (Koizumi Kyoko), I remember thinking to myself how cute she was too. One time I was filming a music video in the cameraman’s personal studio apartment, and he told me to come upstairs to the 2nd floor with him so he could introduce me to his wife… His wife was having wine with Kyonkyon! (laughs) I was so shocked when she was like, “Oh look, it’s aiko!” Idols from that time period don’t really feel like they ever existed in the same world as the rest of us, you know? They were felt imaginary almost, not human, so it’s always a huge surprise when I actually get to meet them.
ーYou said you made up your mind about being a singer when you were 3 years old. Did you ever think about switching paths along the way?
aiko: I wanted to be a veterinarian too, but my dad told me I wouldn’t be able to because I was a dingbat. So I didn’t. I gave up on that real quick, because I realized he was right. Then I was fixated on being a singer, which was just as unlikely. I was really serious about it though, so I made a promise to my mom and dad: “In the future when I’m a singer, you’ll get to go golfing every day, Dad. And Mom, I’m gonna buy you a big diamond ring.” I’d been telling them that ever since I was in kindergarten. They both said, “Wow, please do! Can’t wait!” But then I grew up, and when I debuted, my dad was so old that he couldn’t go golfing every day anymore. Or I guess I should say, he’d already graduated from golf by then. (laughs) My mom is, well, my mom, so my grandma and I had already bought her a diamond ring. It forced me to rethink it, you know?
ーBy the way, were there any other aiko baby talk words like you calling Go Hiromi ‘Shioni’?
aiko: There were! I used to say “chop it” instead of “stop it”, and “p’soon” instead of “spoon”. And “humby” instead of “yummy”. I feel like there were other ones but I just can’t remember them right now.
ーDid you look more like a tomboy up until you were in kindergarten, or really girly?
aiko: I think I was a lot more boyish, ‘cause I was one of those kids who only wore pants. I cried when they made me wear a kimono for Shichi Go San because it was so tight and uncomfortable.
ーWhat hairstyle did you have?
aiko: My hair was long. It was one length almost all the way down to my butt, with a slight wave to it. My dad Shigenobu really liked long hair, so he always grew his out to about his hips. Once when I was in 3rd grade, though, I secretly went to a hair salon and got a bowl cut. He got SO mad, so then I grew it out again. The shortest my hair’s ever been in my entire life was around the time I was singing “Rosie”, after I’d made my debut. Other than that, it’s been pretty long. My parents didn’t mind if I got it permed really, so a couple times when I was a little kid I basically had an afro… No, wait, those were wigs, they were wigs. (laughs) There are pictures of me when I was like, 2 or 3 years old wearing a wig and a black bikini, sitting in a chair and eating an apple like that one chick in the movie “Emanuelle”. (laughs)

Apple TV now worth getting after iTunes video upgrade
We've been on the fence about the Apple TV as there were plenty of better devices like Roku and the Fire TV Stick streaming device, but now that the company has done an impressive video upgrade on iTunes, things have changed.  Along with our opinion of the Apple TV. It might seem odd to review the new Apple TV streaming device — one specifically designed to display super-sharp video known as 4K — without actually owning a 4K TV. But in a way, that’s the point. Most people still don’t have 4K TVs, so the new Apple TV model doesn’t offer them much. But if you’re an Apple fan and already have 4K, the choice is clear. The new Apple TV 4K is out Friday starting at $179, or $30 more than the regular model. It’s a small difference compared with the price of your TV. It’s worth noting that alternatives to Apple TV are cheaper and equally capable at a basic level. All of the devices connect to a TV so you can stream most major video services on a big screen. Roku and Amazon have 4K models for less than $100 and non-4K versions for even less. Both are even ahead of Apple TV in being able to stream Amazon video now; it’s coming soon to Apple TV. But none of the rivals will play movies or shows purchased from Apple’s iTunes, at least without clunky workarounds. To watch those on a big screen directly, you need an Apple TV. And Apple has just sweetened the deal on that front. THE FUTURE HAS ARRIVED Apple’s embrace of 4K is significant, despite the fact that Roku, Amazon and other rivals beat Apple to that milestone. Apple often waits until there’s broad enough appeal for new technologies. That time is now, given the growth in sales of 4K TV and more movies and TV shows released in 4K formats. Parallel to that is the rise of high-dynamic range technology in television sets. HDR increases color range and produces brighter whites and darker blacks. Better contrast means details in bright scenes aren’t washed out. Apple TV 4K supports HDR, too. PATH TO UPGRADES 4K is coming, just as high definition earlier replaced standard definition. The consulting company Futuresource says a third of TVs sold worldwide this year will be 4K capable, up from 25 percent last year. But people tend to keep TVs for many years, unlike high-turnover phones. In demos with tech companies and visits to Best Buy, I find superior picture quality in 4K. Your couch needs to close enough to the screen to see the difference. My next TV will likely have 4K, but my 4-year-old Vizio HD TV still works fine (though I’m sure I just jinxed it). ITUNES UPGRADES ITS VIDEO ... AND YOURS Many Hollywood blockbusters now have 4K versions of home video releases. Netflix and Amazon are also trying to make their original shows available in 4K. But many indies and older titles remain in HD; even older shows like “The Wonder Years” are still stuck in standard definition. Fortunately, Apple isn’t making you choose now. If you buy something in HD through iTunes, you’ll automatically get the 4K version when it’s out. And if a 4K version is available now, it will cost the same as its HD counterpart. It’s never been clear why HD video is more expensive than SD when actors, directors, and others behind the movies were paid the same. Lots of people were peeved at how the music industry tried to get them to repurchase the same songs on cassette tapes, CDs and then digital files. I have a collection of DVDs and don’t feel like paying again for higher-quality Blu-ray or digital versions. So Apple’s decision to treat 4K and HD the same is a good one. That only applies to iTunes, though. Netflix is charging extra for a plan that includes 4K, even when viewed on Apple TVs. A word of caution: While the new iPhone 8 and iPad Pros unveiled this past June will support HDR, they won’t display 4K. Even the upcoming iPhone X falls short in that respect. BEYOND VIDEO The new Apple TV gets a faster processor, which should make high-end games better to play. A new remote offers more precise motion control and a raised menu button to make it easier to orient yourself without looking. These features alone aren’t enough to justify an Apple TV 4K unless you’re a gamer. The non-4K version is getting the new remote, too. Picture quality is the same for both versions on regular HD sets like mine. In any case, Apple TV — with or without 4K — will be most useful if you’re already tied into Apple’s system with iDevices and iTunes. Given that rival devices are cheaper, what you’re buying isn’t the device, but an experience — integration and syncing with all your other Apple gadgets. For instance, 4K video taken on an iPhone will play easily on an Apple TV 4K. If you’re in that camp and are thinking of buying a new TV in the next few years, there’s a good chance it will be 4K, so you might as well choose the 4K version of Apple TV now. But if it’s longer, a better Apple TV will likely be out by then. The non-4K version will do just fine for now.

soulmates au color thingy
I threw my head back in drunken laughter, the blacks and whites of the city flashing before my dizzy eyes. “Let’s go to another bar! The night’s still young!”
Jerome shifted awkwardly. He had only had a couple drinks the entire night. Boooooring! “I have work tomorrow. We’ve already been to three bars. Can’t we just go back to the apartment?”
“You always have work tomorrow.” Casey chimed in. “Marie is right, let’s go to another bar! Jessie just texted me and apparently Dixon Line is blowing the fuck up!”
“Isn’t that a gay bar?”
“You can sit outside, Jerome.” Margo deadpanned from the back of the group.
“I wanna find my soulmate tonight.” I whispered deliriously. “And I wanna have sex. Wild sex.”
Jerome stopped walking without warning. “Are you two really gonna let her keep going? She’s so drunk she’s talking about finding her soulmate. Can’t we just go home?”
“She just had the toughest breakup of her life, Jerome! Let the girl live!”
Jerome was exasperated. “Margo, say something!”
“Casey’s right. Let Marie get drunk.”
I whooped in glee and tripped a bit on my heels before righting myself again. “I love you Margooo!”
“…Thanks.”
I bobbed my head to a song that only I could hear, something that’d been stuck in my head all night. I did little twirls on the sidewalk, fascinated by the way my own shoes caught the lights. They were covered in fake diamonds. And my legs were covered in body glitter. And my dress had to sparkly too, duh. I was like a walking disco ball. I wanted every eye to land on me in every bar we walked in to.
“Earth to Marie? Dixon Line is this way.” Casey had to physically grab me to get me to stop twirling, and even then I almost fell down.
“Don’t do that, I’ll puke!” I giggled.
“Maybe she should wait outside with me.” Jerome mumbled.
“Don’t be a dick! She’s gonna meet her soulmate, remember?”
“I should really just walk home.”
“Have fun.” Margo retorted.
Jerome opened his mouth like he was going to say something witty, but he came up with nothing. Instead, he really did just turn and leave, hailing a cab to go home.
“What a dumbass. He should’ve taken the subway. He hailed a cab just to be dramatic.” Casey snorted
“Girl’s night!” I borderline yelled. “It’s a girl’s night now!”
Margo smiled her approval. “Girl’s night.”
Casey laughed. “Wow! When’s the last time we had a girl’s night?”
“When Jerome got sick last week.”
I gasped. “Wow! It’s been so long! We have to have enough fun to last us another week!”
Casey was looking at her phone. “Guys, let’s walk faster, Dixon Line just keeps getting more packed! Jessie says she’s packed between like four girls!”
Margo’s breath hitched. “I wanna be packed between four girls.”
I was much less subtle about the situation. “I WANNA BE PACKED BETWEEN FOUR GIRLS! AND THEN I WANT ALL OF ‘EM TO RAIL ME!”
Casey started laughing hysterically. “Marie, sh-shut the fuck up!” She was laughing so hard she could barely talk. “We’re in public! Someone’s gonna kick your ass, dumbass!”
“I wanna get FUUUUCKED!”
Even Margo let out a giggle at my caterwauls.
After what felt like hours of walking on my tired and very, very drunken legs, we arrived at Dixon Line. Sure enough, the place was crowded wall to wall. I barely even had space to breathe, and I was living for it. Every time I happened to make eye contact with Margo or Casey while I was pushed up against a cute girl, I would make an exaggerated expression of shock and point at her like I was the luckiest girl on the planet.
And then, because I’m a fucking idiot, I started taking more shots. It’s a miracle I didn’t die of alcohol poisoning that night. I downed drink after drink until I couldn’t even remember where I was, or who I was, and especially not my ex’s name.
And I danced. I danced until my feet felt like they were rotting off.
And then I started puking. I ran into the bathroom, which was also cramped, and rushed into a stall. And I started puking my guts out. I didn’t see if there was a line; I didn’t give a fuck, frankly. I just started vomiting with reckless abandon.
This went on for around five minute of continuous upchuck until I finally breathed. My sides hurt, tears were coming out of my eyes, and it felt like I was fucking dying. And then I stared puking some more.
Suddenly, I found myself in the presence of an angel. Some girl walked into the bathroom, heard the violent vomiting, and immediately rushed to find the source. And she came into my stall.
“Oh my gosh, honey!” She had a southern accent of some kind. It was really sweet. I wanted to melt into it. Then she grabbed my hair and pulled it back for me, and I wanted to melt into her. “There there, you’re gonna be okay, baby. It’ll pass.”
She started rubbing my back. And I almost choked on my own vomit. Because suddenly, when I opened my eyes, I wasn’t where I thought I was. Well, I was in the same place, but it was different. I could see things I hadn’t seen before. Everything was vibrant. When she put her hand on me, something had snapped. And now this… this hidden world was blooming before my eyes.
Color, something in the back of my mind whispered, you’re seeing in color.
As my vomiting slowed, she stood up. I yelped as the contact was lost, and I was plunged back into black and white. I stood up so fast I saw stars, so I had to grab the bathroom walls to steady myself. And I turned around, and saw her, looking very scared.
She was beautiful. Amazing. The cutest girl I’d ever seen. She had light hair, fluffy and wavy, down to her shoulders, with straight bangs. She was wearing a darker-ish dress with mid-length sleeves that went to her mid thighs with a choker of the same fabric. It looked like a big t-shirt, but as a super stylish dress. And she was wearing these glamorous jelly sandal heels. And she had freckles. Freckles. And she was half a head shorter than me. I thought I was gonna faint.
But then I remembered what was even going on, and seeing the colors, and why I had stood up in the first place. When you see something like that, a whole new world before your eyes, and it’s ripped from you, you’re instantly addicted to it. I wanted to see the whole world that way, not just a toilet in a gay bar and my own vomit.
All of these thoughts had gone through my brain in a matter of seconds. She was still standing there, looking confused.
I tenderly brought my hand to her shoulder, and I gasped as color seeped into my vision once again. This felt safe somehow. Safer than I’d ever felt before. I looked deep into her eyes. And I can’t explain what color they were, but they were beautiful. And seeing her in color? Jesus. This was seriously gonna be how I died.
“Are you alright, sugar?”
I blinked. How was she not freaking out? Did she have another soulmate or something? No, that’s not how it works, meaning that this had to be her first time seeing in color. So how could she be so relaxed? “Um… yeah… I’m alright now…”
She smiled, and a piece of my heart ascended directly to heaven. “Well, uh, if you don’t mind, I’ve actually really gotta use the restroom.”
I didn’t want to let go. I couldn’t. So I kept my hand on her shoulder, looking like a dumbass, as I said “Oh, sorry.”
And we stood there for another moment, silent. She finally pulled away, and I was crushed as I blinked and the world became black and white once more. She stepped out of the stall and into another, locking the door behind her.
I didn’t know what to do. First, I flushed my puke, because I’m not the kind of nasty fucker who leaves that shit for somebody else to deal with. Then, I walked over to the sinks and washed my hands. I looked at myself in the mirror. I was probably going to have an aneurysm when I saw myself in color, but I tried not to think about it. I tried to remember all the colors I’d seen. I didn’t have names for them, but I didn’t need names in a strange sort of way. I was happy just to experience them.
By the time she was done, I was still standing there, trying to decide whether I should wait for her or go. Looks like the decision had been made for me.
She didn’t look creeped out that I was waiting for her, which was a big relief for me. I immediately got the urge to touch her, to see that world again, but I fought it. “Thank you for your help.” My voice was hoarse from vomiting my entire stomach up, but she didn’t seem to notice.
“Anytime, honey.”
I smiled, feeling happy to be called honey even though I could already tell that she said it to everyone. “I’m Marie.”
“I’m Eleanor! But Ellie works. Or El. Whatever floats your boat.”
Oh, you float my boat alright.
I stopped myself from saying that out loud, thank God, but what actually came out of my mouth wasn’t a lot more intelligent. “You’re really pretty.”
I guess God takes pity on me or something, because instead of being weirded out, she laughs. Her laugh is like a bell. It doesn’t sound like a bell, but it feels like a bell, ya dig? When I hear her laugh I get the same feeling I get when I hear a bell ring. I’m kinda addicted to it already.
“You don’t look too bad yourself.”
If my life was a cartoon, this is the part where the heart eyes would pop outta my head. “Can we dance?”
She laughs again. “You’re pretty forward.”
I grin. “I’m pretty drunk. And you’re just plain pretty.”
“I’m just plain?” She raises an eyebrow.
“That’s not what that was supposed to say. Mean, I mean. That’s not what I meant to say is what I’m trying to say.” I stutter.
She looks me up and down, and my skin crawls in a good way. An exciting way. “I guess I could save you a dance, if you promise not to puke on me.”
All I can do is nod. She pushes a piece of hair behind her ear, and I see that her earrings are big hearts. They look like gelatin.
Somehow, she leads me out of the bathroom. I suddenly remember how crowded this room is, and the two of us have to squeeze together to get through the crowd. And squeezing together means that we’re touching. And my world blinks into color for the third time in my life. I’m overwhelmed. I’ve been to that bar so many times, but now it felt like an alternate universe. I could see everyone in shades I couldn’t have even imagined before. I wanted to stare at strangers not because they were beautiful, but because they were beautiful colors. Every time I saw a hew I hadn’t seen yet, it entranced me. But the crowd pushed us along, so I never got to dwell on the color of someone’s hair or dress or tie.
Eventually, we were able to carve out our own little spot on the dance floor. Suddenly, my hands were on her waist, and everything else faded away. I felt like a dumbass for wearing all these sparkles; I wanted everybody to be looking at her, not me.
We swayed to the music, and my eyes never left hers. I decided that those eyes were my favorite color. The song changed over and over, but we just kept going. Sometimes we were spinning and stepping in time, sometimes we were jumping with our hands in the air, and sometimes her head was against my chest as we swayed. Our bodies never stopped touching—I wouldn’t let them—and I felt like I was on a different planet. No, not on a different planet, in a whole other universe.
We didn’t talk the whole time. We didn’t have to. We said what we had to say with our eyes, with our hands. And it’s a stupid thing to say, but I was already falling for her. I wasn’t trying to, but she was alluring in a way I couldn’t pinpoint. I couldn’t stop touching her and staring at her and smiling… I wanted the night to last forever.
But it couldn’t. People started to trickle out, and my feet started hurting so bad that even Ellie couldn’t distract me from the dull ache. She helped guide me to a seat on the side where I immediately ripped my heels off. We sat there for a while in silence, her arm still around my waist from where she’d helped me get off the dance floor. She leaned against me, and I hummed along to the song and played with El’s hair, and everything was perfect.
Casey found me like that. With a shit-eating grin, she stepped directly in front of me and leaned down “And who’s this?”
I grinned back, unphased. “Ellie.” Ellie gave a small wave and buried her head in my shoulder. “We’re both kinda tired.” I confessed.
Margo materialized out of the crowd. “It’s four AM.”
Casey groaned. “Ugh, I’m gonna be so fucking hungover tomorrow.”
I was tempted to shush them. They were disturbing the peace of my moment with Ellie. “Then you two should probably go home.”
Margo looked confused. Casey cleared her throat. “Um… Aren’t you coming with?”
I shook my head. “I’ll take the subway home later. You two should get out of here.”
Casey didn’t look convinced. “You’re drunk and you’re dressed like a bottle of glitter glue, is it safe for you to be taking the subway home alone at four AM?”
Margo tugged Casey’s sleeve. “She isn’t going to be alone.”
Casey looked back and forth between Ellie and I and her face lit up, as if she had just understood something vital. “Ahhh, okay! Well, I guess we better head out then, Margo!” Casey winked as she grandiosely turned and made her way to the exit. Margo gave a meek wave and followed.
Ellie lifted her head a bit. “Thank God. I thought they were never gonna leave.”
I giggled in reply.
Ellie sighed. “They’re right, it’s late, I should get home soon.”
She was still leaning against me, so she couldn’t see my face, but she must have sensed the sad expression I made. “We’ll see eachother again. Get out your phone and I’ll give you my number.”
I handed her my phone way too eagerly, cheesing so hard my cheeks hurt.
She opened a new contact and named herself Eleanor with a heart emoji. I realized suddenly that everything had colors. Even things on my phone were colorful. My phone itself had a color. Emojis had colors. “That heart icon is a cute color.” I whispered.
Ellie looked up at me in confusion. “What? It’s just grey, like everything else.”
And with that, my heart was crushed. Utterly crushed. She’d just stepped on my heart and she didn’t even know it. I didn’t say anything, and she didn’t magically figure out that I was unhappy.
She leaned in to kiss me on the cheek, still smiling. She didn’t even know this night was the most magical one of my life. She thought I was just another girl… I was just another girl to her. But she was… She was my fucking soulmate! And she had no clue!
She got up and waved goodbye. The color left my vision, and I instinctively reached out to her, wanting the color back. The color she didn’t even see.
“We’re gonna see each other again.” She whispered it like a prophecy.
I could barely even muster up the strength to smile back at her as she pushed through the crowds, out of my sight.
And then I started crying. Silently, slowly, tears streamed down my face. I didn’t even care that my mascara wasn’t waterproof. I sat there and let the tears come.
And then I took the subway home. Everything felt surreal all of a sudden. It was the same train as always, but now I knew it had the potential to be completely different. Completely colorful.
I clicked the door to my apartment closed and checked the time. 5:22 AM. Jerome would be waking up for work in a couple of hours. I sent Ellie a quick text, numb, just telling her that it was me so she could save my number.
As I walked back to my room, I was stopped in my tracks by a voice in the living room. “Welcome home, Marie.”
It was Margo, drinking hot chocolate on the couch, her corn rows pulled back in a bun, wearing a stained sweater that was way too big for her.
“Hi Margo.” I decided to go sit with her. She was quiet, but Margo got things. She understood so much, sometimes I swore she was some kind of guardian angel or something, sent to our apartment to protect the rest of us.
She took a slow sip of her hot chocolate, and I saw that it was brimming with marshmallows, just the way she liked it. “So, did it work?”
My face scrunched in confusion. “What?”
“Did you find your soulmate?”
I was quiet for a moment. And I nodded slowly. And then I started shaking my head. And the tears came again, but this time they weren’t silent. Margo watched me cry for a few minutes before getting up and going to her room. I thought she’d abandoned me, but she’d left her hot chocolate, so I knew she was coming back.
Sure enough, she returned with a book. She set it on the coffee table in front of us with a thud. My crying began to quiet as she flipped through the pages. “Who are these people?”
She smiled a rare Margo smile. “These are my grandparents.”
She pointed to her grandma. “My grandma met my grandpa at a bowling alley. He worked there, and while she was getting her shoes they brushed hands, and she saw color.”
She pointed to her grandpa. “Wanna know something? My grandpa never saw color. Not once in his life. He went to his grave seeing blacks and whites and grays. He used to say that she saw enough color for both of them. He said he was curious sometimes, but he knew she was his soulmate, color or not.”
I kept on crying, but now it wasn’t just for my own pitiful situation, it was for Margo’s grandparents. And then I cried harder because Margo was such a good friend, and she somehow knew exactly what was going on without me telling her shit.
She left the photo album on the table, handed me the hot chocolate, kissed my head, and headed off to her room. I flipped through the pages for a while longer. The last page was her grandparents holding a baby Margo. I knew it was Margo because of the big dark forehead birthmark.
I curled up on the couch and finished the hot chocolate. I fell asleep with the photo album in my arms.
I woke up with a text from Ellie on my phone.
And I decided to text her back.
And text her back. And text her back. Over and over.
I looked at the photo album, now laying on the floor where I had pushed it off in my sleep. Jerome had left me some eggs on the table with a note asking if I was okay and to call him if I needed anything from the grocery store. For some reason, my hangover wasn’t killer. Maybe I’d cried all the alcohol out somehow.
I ate the eggs. After all, I was going to need my energy. I had a date that day with Ellie. We were going to a movie, like a real couple.
I decided to text Jerome before I left, so he wouldn’t worry.
dont worry j, im ok. just found my soulmate; she just doesn’t know it yet
And I set out to the movie theatre, determined to help her figure it out.

Fast and simple edit pics with the photo editing software The meaning of image editing is the process of altering a picture, basically. Still, that is simplifying a topic which is very complicated. You can typically perform basic picture modifying strategies just like edit pictures rather quickly and swiftly yet intricate strategies as well as digital editing and enhancing might call for photo editing software and also even more skill. Photo editing software is a tool that anyone able to utilize to control and increase images. Because photos come with a raising variety of uses, even more businesses are discovering methods to reutilize pictures as well as utilize them on different ways. Photo editing software has actually become absolutely complicated and impressive and it is usually possible to control photos so they become totally various out of the initial. There certainly are lots of photo editing software and also multitudes of means of accomplishing the very same or comparable end results. My intent most when it comes to many pictures I post process is actually to make them look being all-natural as you possibly can. I know this is a super position to make a beginning, even if you wish to continue on and also produce more surreal appearing photos. Tone range inside an image is among the primary worries. The human eyes have the ability to usually see a broader range of shade than your electronic camera can make.

The crop device allows you to change the size of your photo, as well as likewise to change the aspect proportion. As an example, you can cut out an image from a rectangular shape to a triangle shape. There are many reasons you would certainly wish to cut out, consisting of for publishing in various formats and also facet ratios. Compared to the original, I have actually chopped the photo with photo editing software to get rid of the dark component of the right-hand side of the photo shot and also reassembled using the guideline of thirds. This makes the darkness screw a lot more the emphasis of photo shot. You may wonder why I did not simply make up properly when making the picture. So in this case, I was actually performing a lengthy exposure photo shooting without any a camera stand, so had actually the cam balanced on the edge of the pier for stability. That quite minimal my capacity to completely mount the minute, so I just photoshoot wider, understanding I had the ability to chop the photo properly shortly after the truth. In both cases, cropping is extremely basic as well as it is just includes you selecting the crop device and afterwards picking the area you intend to maintain with your touchpad. After that you apply the changes and also your brand-new cropped image prepares to go. Occasionally there may be something within a picture that you definitely do not really desire to exist, such as a bothersome white spot on anyone's nose. This is very simple to remove in almost all the significant photo editing software. It is usually uncomplicated to erase any type of items directly out of a photo yet the photo editing software functions very well on distinctive, small objects that are generally rounded by consistent color tones. This is since the recover device needs to change the area you wish to remove with something else, and this functions best when it has an area nearby that looks similar. So for instance, a red point on a face is bordered by a great deal of in a similar way colored skin, so the heal device can quickly determine what to change the dark spot based upon the bordering location. This specific is simply just because the photo editing software needs to repair the sector you want to erase with another thing besides, as well as that runs ideal whenever it has an area close by that seems the same.

The quickest method to regulate the different colors in regard to a picture is definitely with the saturation method of the photo editing software. This changes the appearance related to any shade in an image to help make it basically saturated. Just like numerous changes, the key is actually to choose a really good balance way too much shading the photos often tends to look instead unnatural. Saturating images may be extremely useful, and also naturally dark and also light is a fantastic choosing for all kind of situations, specifically, architecture, and certain garden scenes. Among my personal scratch inconveniences in picture taking is if the horizon contour in a photo is uneven. Occasionally whenever we are actually taken up in the second, this standard rule is forgotten however fortunately is that enhancing your photos with the photo editing software to make them degree is likewise really easily done. Leveling the video camera within the edge of the pier implied that the photo was uneven that is especially easy to see to the sight if the picture has actually a clearly identified perspective line, just like the sea. The leveling method becomes part of the crop tool, and also you are able to just revolve the image to match. When you utilize the pointing tool, a grate will certainly show up to aid you acquire the positioning appropriate. Leveling a picture is a truly basic task that will take just a number of moments, leading to a much extra visually pleasing image.

Dear One.
There is only one specie in the entire universe that has time, and it is humans. Our bodies are capsules of it.  Step away from time, step away from your Body? What are you? What is there?
A few lessons have hit me this Summer. Between tripping on shrooms and almost dying on the river. I’ve felt the  electrifying current pulsing through my stagnation. I feel the ascension, and my grip on the past melt. I look around a lot these days and am surprised about where I am, how I am. I sometimes feel like I’m looking at myself through a T.V screen. I’ve felt like I’ve lived a lot. But with my head under the water, I realized I haven’t lived enough. I decided ..I have not lived enough to let my life go. It crossed my mind how there were times in my life where I said death was better. Or I have done things to myself that I probably would be somewhere getting help for. Because I did not want to live, the feelings of defeat were too strong. But the best thing I could do was just exhaust myself into sleep, sleep was always the defender of my life. I just needed to sleep for a bit, and I was able to live. I thought about those times while I was holding my breathe under the water, waiting for a break of air beyond the surface. I also mostly thought about the embarrassment of death on the river. Truly being dragged through an element I considered my ally. A meeting with all the tears I cried. And here I was being dragged frightened. Being dragged now saying I don’t want to die, please god don’t let me die ..? I said that once and thought what a joke. You don’t deserve to beg for a life you take for granted. Even in my dying I was hard on myself. I heard the fear when I called Christinas name, and I wanted to cry ,strategically add more water, when the water was shallow yet I could not stand. And Christina said don’t let go of the tubes. Then I went under back to the high river…under I kicked the emotions and I decided I am going to get on this tube, and I’m going to get to the side of the river. I won’t be apart of misfortune, or some story where it happened out of no where. And bleep I was made back into the one conscious again, thinking that was it? That was Natasha’s life? I just thought nope, and wah-la…. Here I am writing this even though I told you already on the phone but I feel I should write it somewhere. That I lived, I wasn’t scared of death…like I said earlier… sometimes I even entertained it myself. But I was scared that I wouldn’t see you again… at least in human form, I was scared I would never see Australia or meet up with heather like I promised, I was scared that I wouldn’t see where it went with this guy I’m dating , I was scared I would never breathe in the air of relief where I knew my family was healed, truly healed and thriving and together.

I walked into the bedroom
I could feel the rooms brightness even though it was dark.
I asked for goddesses to help, I heard shhhhh. I said shhhh.
I became apart of a larger subconscious. Everyones voices were in my head.
I was the calmness in a cave for a while.
And I kept hearing “this is the fruit of the Gods. “
The room was so huge, and I could hear and feel everything. I could hear pain. And I couldn’t focus on it too much or else I’d lose myself in it.
I forgot about the rest of the world. Like really forgot. Like it was just me, and where I was at.
When it got too intense. I asked how long is this gonna last? And I realized I had a long way to go.
I then acknowledged how it really is better being in a human body; it shields you from the larger context you exist in from all your forms …present in the past and present in the future.. Ah! being human is WAY better than this shit I thought. This thing where all is meshed together. Where everyones pain, happiness, emotions, and expansion are connected to the point that you feel it all and it grows as you direct your purpose on it.
I felt my skin and it was so smooth, I felt my organs and I could truly feel them working. And I felt like my spirit awakened and it wanted out of the body. The fight my body put up to contain my consciousness, and the conscious not abiding…. The channels were open. Once the illusion was lifted, and the conditioning of identifying as this living form was washed away, as a I was re-introduced as all, as every. .I drifted for a minute, composing different forms, as music, as air, as a color, as things I never thought of being, I just drifted through and to, and became apart of them. Then I got up and started thinking with my human brain, like shit I am a human. I am a human. Humans have schedules. I HAVE A FUCKING SCHEDULE! I wonder what day it is… fuck my boss is going to be so mad.  I need to tap into that frequency. But my mind & where I was…. kept changing. The lights in the room would go brighter then darker. I’d look outside someone would be there, then be gone. I’d look outside and it was always summer. And I thought how many years has it been summer? And they’ve all gone by…Wow its always summer here, I thought... There is frequencies of time where the humans are, and I need to tap back into that spectrum. Because time doesn’t exist here. It felt like I was stuck in a picture or some pretty painting. Lush green trees, mountains, and sun.
I paced back and forth, because I figured maybe my  phone would snap me back into reality?  I need to see what time it is. I need something -like THE device of  everyones incarnated time and existence these days to extract me from the flow that exist outside of  my mind and its pull to every experience right in front of me. I need to get back to my human form. I’m in another dimension.
I really was not here on earth anymore. I promise I was in a river that evades certainty or dependency of anything.
I did not need food, water, I did not need anything.
I walked out in the hallway and looked out the window for a long time. And I swear I was there forever. I disconnected from my body, I went through lights, and I don’t remember anything from that consciousness, I just thought nothing exists, if I don’t think about it, The rest of the world doesn’t exist, I am here, and until I decided there is something else, its just me here. forever…..I don’t know how long it had been in the hallway, but then It occurred to me..
There are these humans, They have rules, they have numbers, they had time.
They made beautiful films, books, structures, love out of what they remembered.
Thats it….They remembered!
I’m not apart of their time anymore, I am not a human anymore, I was once one.Yeah, what was that about I thought†…And slowly it came back,  I have a family! I wonder if they are worried about me. How long has it been?   And I began to remember …there ..there was these humans. They had rules, they had numbers. I had a name it was Natasha. I was a human.
I need to tap back into their frequency. My parents are there, My family is there, I thought of how mom laughs, and I began to realize how that time capsule is unmatched.. And how I miss my brother so much. God its been forever? I wonder if he’s out? I wonder how long I’ve been here?
How do I tap back into their frequency? I don’t know how long it had been, years, centuries, no time at all. But I know I was somewhere else not in or where time lives. There was these humans, that had rules, numbers, laws, money. etc. I kept repeating this. Then I thought about how they made life so hard with all of that. I remembered thinking that I’ve been here this whole time, on this earth, living, dying, since the very beginning, every lifetime I learned more, every lifetime I grew more, and I remembered how god gave me everything. He gave me everything! I had everything I could ever want to eat here on earth, I had everything necessary to  ever build something beautiful... physically in my life or knowledgeably about my life., I had everything. I realized  I was just a super dimensional being, remembering this entire time. I found myself looking in the mirror, and thinking  I love everything so much. And as I looked at myself…I said oh my god I love everything so much!
I couldn’t believe I choose this. I love that I choose this. Oh my god I’m so sorry. I had been so brain washed to hate this. My bad skin, my odd shaped ways, my face,  I laughed. To be embarrassed by this body? I started laughing and crying and thinking how silly it is to be ashamed of this body I am in. I thought of every insecurity and couldn’t help but break into half sobs, and giggles. Like how could I miss this! Blessing?! I was amazed by the god I was, that chose this and I never found it to be the wonder that is it?  I WAS A FUCKING GOD! And I’m practically here to enjoy being a human? When your illusions are lifted and nothing is permitted to just your individual being, you notice that everyone knows the feeling, knows your exact same feelings and how it feels to be in your body, and how you think about your body, they can conceptualize it >actually let their soul have a place in it, and laugh with you about the bizarre constriction of the insecurity of it, because its all beautiful. There nothing wrong, its enjoyable, its pleasurable, its a human body,  a gift, a home where your soul can expand in for the evolution of all creation.
A new awareness came over me as I began to list the new rules. As a god you don’t need anything, you don’t need to eat, you don’t need to drink water. You are divine. And you see the beauty in everything, everything is perfect. Everything is chosen, and just. I couldn’t believe my LIFE. I thought about how hard it had been, how many times I had lost it, How many times I had been sorry, And how many times I felt like I was never going to get the light back from it. Like I was never going to reach a point where I could choose what I wanted for my life with ease. And I just felt all my struggles to know the truth, to realize the spirit in me, All the books I read, all the studying I had done, all the things I’ve done, and finally here it was, the book found in all religions, traditions, and practices throughout the world. The book that is my soul, It wrote …. that I am only remembering being a human. I am only a memory. And I’m not sure where I am but I am looking back …looking back you can appreciate, you can become in love again and again with what you became with the choices, of what you chose to breath life into . Because you see, you feel, you are infinitely alive. And you just want to make it right. You want to write down, listen, live and create.
I started saying I am so sorry to everyone for it taking me so long to get this. I began violently crying, being soothed by the great realization that my mother, and my dad, my brothers, and sisters, have been the angels I have prayed to, I have wished for, I have been with since where ever this all started. They were gods, who have been carrying so many lessons and karma. And they were the ones that wrote the meaning of life down, time after time again.  I cried again, because I couldn’t believe that the god in them knew all along. The god that is our collective consciousness, that is the voice inside our head, the spirit in our heart, the unbounded.  I thought about you, and I saw this, or at least it was shown to me that in this lifetime. It could have been me, it could have been anyone in our family, But you took it on, to go into that space, to have this experience and to bring it beyond its suffering, into light, into laughter, into joy.  And they kept teaching me, and teaching me, patiently until I was ready to see it all. And I realized everyone acted, and were the way they were because they already knew their path, Regardless if their human form knew. And I kept saying I loved it all so much. I loved everything in my life so much, Oh my GOD I love my life so much. I looked in the mirror and I kept thinking wow. WOW! I couldn’t believe my spirit chose this! And it was like omg I could have picked anything else but I chose this?  I could have been anyone else in the world. But I am Natasha! I am Native American, I am Navajo, I have these traditions that were the truth of time, and being human. I’m so in love with this choice. I love my choices so much. I love that I wanted to be here.
I asked how long has it been? And the response was “ its always been. “
And I realized I’m crazy. I’m so crazy!!! Literally this is probably where all the quoted “crazy” people go in their mind…. And now I’m stuck here and I can’t get back. And I began to miss it. And I realized I missed my life so much. I missed so much of my life….. being angry. being tired, desiring and wanting something other than the blessing that is.  I cried so much because I’ve forgotten the god in me. Abandoned the god within. The god within every piece of here.  And I felt the immense pain and shame being washed with the spirit of love, unconditional. LOVE with the power of every dimension, with every passion, with every mistake that made me strength. A hug from god. I don’t know but something about remembering, really is a gift, especially when its your life. When you remember you choose this everyone in your life becomes even more special. The significance of your life and how it formed. It felt so nice to know that all this darkness I have gone through, all the stress I have carried, all the times I wished upon death, but yet found strength somehow, Really and truly was never meant to break me or to harm me, but was a greater purpose to lead me to build my spirit into a force that lights a way the darkness can fold back into time, into space, into wisdom for another who needs help. We go through this every time we come back here, And so many people forget that it was apart of the plan, that we will come back again and again til we heal every piece. Each time we create more love here, more truths, we endure more and we use our body and time to alchemize our experiences, to strike lightening amongst the black abyss, to write it down as poetry, to grow.  I saw our family being so greatly accompanying each other across cosmic time, And how you all were waiting for me and how many times you wanted to tell me that its okay, its all going to be okay. And you all have. Now I know that even though we say that in our deepest doubtful moments, or where we can’t say anything at all but that, it really is our god within speaking up. This is apart of the higher mission. Trust it.   ….…I was a god in the sky and I said I’d like to be a human. I’ll name her Natasha. And I’ll make the world remember what life is about, I’ll let them know how special it is to remember your life, and be apart of it….reflecting with wisdom. Just breathing in joy! The initiation had already happened, the wars have already taken place, the chaos had already commenced and ended in a single breathe. I was screaming and clapping on the ground OH MY GOD I LOVE MY LIFE SO MUCH!!!
And I thought about those people who are here teaching others, reminding others, allowing others lives to be enriched and free, They must be Gods too cause I hear them say “I love my life so much!!”  Remembering is the key to fully embodying a human form. A human life. Remembering is the beautiful part and magic to our time. Thats why we are told to remember our traditions so much, because they aren’t just words, they are the essence of humanity. The beginning, This life has always been so easy, take away money, take away the fucked up structure of society, take away your conditions. And you are placed on the best planet, that grows your food in abundance, that  displays arts of life, and love, and mountains of ease for you. And all it asks is to keep going, take a moment to look back, and help others see what a wonder, what a gift, what a thought to live like the god you are. God put you here with the truths, so close to the earth, and so many are so far from it, But put your ear to the ground, and remember, that with every life you’ve transcended darkness, you’ve built the greatest architecture still standing today, composed the most daring music, comforted the souls who thought they could never go home, you’ve given  so much, so many have taken, so many have spit upon you, and you’ve colored the deepest red into your wounds, death has kissed you on battle fields, death has kissed you poor and cursed, death has sometimes demanded your last breathe from you, and you’ve smiled and teased back no ….. but damn have you lived, the way you move through the confinements of time and space, to carry peace untouched to your future and to your past. The way you’ve honored yourself and your mission to continue life no matter the circumstance.
There is only one specie in the entire universe that has time, and it is humans. Our bodies are capsules of it.  Step away from time, step away from your Body? What are you? What is there?
You've been, you are, You’re a memory, your remembering.
UPDATE: it wasn’t another dimension, it was experiencing now as it is. nothing more, nothing less. The pure ability to create reality, and live it as now and only. With full comprehension of now in all the paths.

Kim Kardashian on making time for beauty rituals: 'Even my sisters think I’m crazy'
There’s chaos in the Kardashian house. We know that, they know that, and it’s not like it can change anytime soon, since it’s the drama that’s gripped America to E! for over 10 years. But in the midst of screaming kids, Kylie disappearing for nine months, business deals, divorces, births, bleach, and the usual drama of family dynamics, there’s just one thing we don’t see (usually)—and that’s Kim Kardashian putting on concealer. It’s not because she’s afraid of being seen without it, or because she doesn’t want a this-is-the-entire-key-to-my-success secret exposed. Rather, she wants a second of alone time, and that’s relatable as hell.
Hopping on the phone at 8 A.M. to talk over her latest launch, a three-step concealer kit in 16 shades—$18 for each part; $80 for the set with brushes—you get the sense that this woman is exhausted and knows the power of self-care to keep her going. Read on to hear about hereditary circles, how she adjusted her concealer after Kylie’s, why she screengrabs unflattering photos of herself (let no one say KKW isn’t strong), how Kanye’s office decor informs her beauty ethos, and more.

Glamour: Of all the products to launch next for KKW Beauty, why concealer?
Kim Kardashian West: I have always been so meticulous about concealer. That’s been the one thing after so long I finally had to master because I have really dark under-eye circles. It’s just my heritage—it is what it is. And I like a flawless under-eye, so I’m doing a concealer kit, which, you know, I don’t think people ever really divulge the steps of what you need to do so that it doesn’t crease.
Like [most people] will put on a concealer, maybe blend it, but they don’t get that you really have to set it and bake it. Then my secret weapon at the end is brightening it with a pressed powder that I put on top of it, once the baking powder is off. So I really wanted to share my secrets of how I master the perfect under-eye.
Glamour: We have to ask, Kylie obviously launched her concealers not too long ago. Was that on purpose?
KKW: When we go into it, we have completely separate teams. So we’ll share our schedules, as far as if she has a concealer coming out. I pushed mine a little bit so that they weren’t back to back. But as far as formulas, I do what works for me, and she does what works for her. I’ve used hers, and I love it, and our makeup artist will use it on me, but I think everything’s super unique, and we’re two totally different brands.
Glamour: When people hear the word kit, they can be a little intimidated and think there are a ton of steps. Do you think it’s so streamlined, though, that it’ll be easy for people?
KKW: Yeah, I think if anything, it gives structure and guidelines. You’ll see that it’s easier to understand, and you have all the products there. You can buy just the concealers, you can buy just the baking powder, you can buy just the setting powder. For me, I like to be shown what to do when it comes to makeup. My makeup artist showed me, and there was never a brand that had the three products sold all together if you wanted it. When I go into a store, or when I’m looking for something online, I want to have it easy and figured out.

Glamour: How has motherhood changed how you approach beauty, both in concealer and overall?
KKW: Yeah, I mean, obviously I need more concealer because you have less sleep, so my eyes are more of a problem now. But I think that as someone who doesn’t have a lot of time, I now always make taking care of myself an important thing. I think moms can just forget about themselves sometimes and not pamper themselves. It’s important, but I also think it’s important to teach people how to do it as fast as possible. It doesn’t have to be this long, drawn-out thing. When I do my own makeup, I don’t take longer than 10 minutes. I don’t have a lot of time, kids are running around, screaming, while I’m trying to get ready. So if I can teach people the steps, like okay, here’s your concealer, three steps, super easy, boom, get it done, [that’s great]. Motherhood has helped me figure out how to consolidate and just get things done as quick as possible.

Glamour: Has having a third child changed that even more? Are you more forgiving of yourself if you can’t dedicate more than 10 minutes to getting ready?
KKW: I think it’s a little bit of both, your mind goes to both places. You are more forgiving of yourself, just because, you know, I haven’t washed my hair for four days just because I literally don’t have time. Like I was giving everyone a bath last night, and it was all a rush. But then I also think for me to be sane [I have to take some time]. Like last night at 10 P.M., I went to get a facial. I was like, okay, I’ve put all the kids to bed, I have to take care of myself. I really needed this facial, and I’ll go to bed at midnight tonight. Even my sisters think I’m crazy because I’ll take the time to do that when most people won’t, or I’ll get up at 5 A.M. and workout before the kids get up. I try to do ‘my’ time on off time—so that’s really limiting. My schedule is really intense, but I feel like it’s still a priority to me to pamper myself and take care of myself for my own sanity.
Glamour: What kind of emotional benefits do you get from that time?
KKW: Well, I want to spend as much time with my kids as possible. I love the morning routine, I love the night routine, so that’s the priority for me, over all of this. If I can spend the extra time pampering myself and doing something for me, it helps with self-confidence. It might not be important to other people, and I understand that. Sleep might be more important, and I definitely try to get my sleep as well. It’s a balance. But I think if it helps your soul to feel better about yourself and you look good, you’re going to feel great, be more present, and just be happier. So why not take the time to do what makes you happy? Whether it’s going to the movies with your friends, going to dinner at night with your friends—whatever it is, if that helps you be more present in the time that you are with your kids, then that’s what you should do.
Glamour: Definitely. It seems like that’s been underestimated forever, just how important being happy with your kids actually is.
KKW: Yeah, and in order to do that, you’ve got to be present. If you’re thinking of all the little things you have to do [you won’t be]. Maybe not everyone can get a facial at 10 P.M., I get it. But you can go to the gym, you can do something that makes you feel good. Read a book or take alone time—anything that helps your soul be more calm if you live in a house of chaos.
Glamour: The next question begs, how did you get your facialist to accommodate a 10 P.M. appointment?
KKW: Sometimes I’ll see a picture of myself that I don’t like, so I’ll screengrab it and text it to her, and go, “Oh my god, my face is falling, we need a tightening facial.’ Then she’s just like okay, when do you want to come in? I said, honestly, could we do it ASAP? And she said, “Okay, why don’t we both put our kids to bed (she has four of them), and then meet up later?” Dream come true. Her name is Melissa, and she’s at this little salon in West Hollywood called Skin Thesis. She’s amazing.
Kim Kardashian shares her super simple tip to getting the perfect tan
Glamour: You’re back to brunette now, but when you went pink, you said it was influenced by anime. How did you get into that? And do you see it influencing your beauty choices in any other ways?
KKW: I don’t know about my beauty choices in other ways, but god, I mean, my husband’s been into anime for a long time, so I’ve seen different artists draw things for me. I’ve just seen it around—in our office, and going to Japan, I knew I was going to see a lot of it there. I would always see these characters with pink hair, and I thought, you know what, I could easily dye my hair any color because it’s white, and I thought pink would compliment my skin the best.
Glamour: Also on the topic of influencing beauty choices, you made contouring a household thing. If you could set off another trend today, what would it be?
KKW: Oh, I mean, nothing beats that contour look though. No matter what I do, I always love contour. But I’m really inspired by ’90s makeup and darker lips right now. And I’m really into color, I’m starting to get into color shadows I really like. More browns—I have a lip coming out soon, in a month or two, and really amazing nudes and browns that I’m really excited about.
