Is it me, or does anyone else wanna see a movie of just the Ravengers? Like look at Martinex! My little twinkle toes looks stunning! I wanna know how the ravengers act towards each other and how Stakar, Martinex, Mainframe, Krugar and Gamora act to each other. Is Gamora Stakars new adopted child?
Tumblr media
I mean look at them😫❤️
Krugarr and Mainframe look adorable and they seem to care a lot about her. I thought Ravengers weren’t into that sentimental stuff unless that was just a Yondu thing (rejecting affection). Did they hug and card about Yondu the same way they are treating Gamora? I need to know please 🙏

I’ve been eaten alive by an AU that @rhapsodicalfreddie and I have been just chewin’ on the last few days, where the mutiny comes early for Yondu and Yondu bolts with Peter to the last person he ever thought he’d look for help again—Stakar Ogord. Lots of tension, emotions, etc, but a new Ravager crew means new leathers.

Yondu feels
I've finally watched more GotG and have had thoughts about Yondu.
Random headcanon: Since a large part of Yondu's crew is as dumb as a bag of bricks (it's funny until you tie it a lack of literacy and basic education to crime and neglect on a universal scale) Peter and his fourth grade education quickly rise through the Ravager ranks. He's promoted almost instantly once Yondu recognizes he can multiply. (I want to write a fic where Peter is on cleaning duty, overhears someone making a mess of inventory and by snarking, gets promoted by Yondu)
What if.......Yondu's core problem is weakness. Weakness gets you killed. Softness gets you killed. He learned that lesson as a child, sold into slavery, becoming a child soldier and later a ravager. The boss is feared, gets respect, gets what he wants, is free. In control. He absolutely cannot let go of that control. He simply must be the toughest meanest son of bitch around. Or else he will suffer and die. Sadly that extends to his parenting. Teaching someone to be tough will save their lives. What if.....he was shown another way? Deep down Yondu is a softie. He likes silly dolls on his console (the one quirk he gets away with, an eccentricity which is NOT a weakness), he likes music, he wants Peter to think he's cool. If he was allowed to be soft, he'd be a better dad. On that What if he needs a positive role model. Someone who he respects as super tough, as a boss .....but also has a soft side, shows emotions. (Stakar? Peter would love an unofficial grandparent called the Starhawk, even more so if he teases Yondu on a regular basis).
Then Yondu would give up command. I think the need to project toughness in front of his crew is toxic to himself and secretly he'd like to be rid of the responsibility. (In a shocking trend, I want to write this what if fic. Yondu has to choose between his crew, his position and Peter at a point early on and chooses Peter. Maybe he runs to the Ravagers and breaks down crying at Stakar's feet. He'd still be a scoundrel and thief, but with a smaller ship and a very small crew of just two people) he'd teach Peter all about the craft, has adventures but is a better person and dad because of it.
Other random fic idea: Yondu had a great death in GotG. I don't want to undo that. In IW I wished for a small flashback scene, based on Peter's line of how he's been flying since he was 9 and a 'normal human' to react (I had Scott Lang in mind somehow) by saying 'Which irresponsible moron let a nine year old fly a spaceship?' Cue flashback of Yondu and Peter in a cockpit, Peter sitting on the space version of a thick phone book in order to reach the controls. Both of them are buckled in, in contrast to Kraglin who stumbles in, yelling, complaining that you normally warn the crew when you go through one of the gates. Yondu gets a mischievous look and asks Peter if he heard that. Peter catches on. What did you hear, Yondu? I think I heard Kraglin. Kraglin eyeroll of an exasperated stroppy teenager. I think I heard Kraglin say that he wants to do a barrel roll. Cue Kraglin desperately scrambling for a seat before Peter does exactly that. Adult Peter tells the tale with a fond look. Other normal human looks at him in abject horror, which intensifies as Peter says that he absolutely must tell the story of how he was a getaway driver at the age of 11.

Stakar: what would your father say? You breaking the Ravager Code? Peter: well, my father was an egomaniacal brain in the middle of a homicidal planet - don't worry he's dead now, but Yondu? *Clicks the safety off, keeps the blaster on Stakar* Star-Lord: He'd buy me an ice cream.

You know what I wanted? I wanted some moments between Peter and Stakar.
I want them to have this weird, awkward relationship where Stakar can't help but see Yondu in Peter's posture. The sureness and cocky confidence in his actions. And some of the things he says are in the same tone that Yondu would say it.
Peter being unsure about Stakar because Yondu never told him about this guy other than to avoid other Ravager fractions. So he's just ??? Why is this dude staring at him? Then Peter gets weirdly defensive over Yondu when Stakar makes a comment that he doesn't like. And then maybe, maybe they'll get a chance to talk about Yondu. The Yondu when Stakar rescued him and the Yondu that raised Peter.
"He may have been an asshole at times, but he was a pretty cool dad."
"Have I told you the time when Yondu nearly had an accident with an A'askavariian?"
"No way..."
"Heh, he was young and stupid."
Peter (maybe biased) is angry on Yondu’s behalf that Starker ‘abandoned’ Yondu so easily. Starker tells him Peter should understand that what Yondu did led those kids to their death.
"He didn't know!"
"Trust me, kid." Stakar cuts in, ignoring the Terran's glare. "It wasn't easy."
“And yet, you still did it.” Peter mutters bitterly. He rubs a hand over his face as he sighs. “Sorry, I… What you did for Yondu's funeral, I really appreciate it.”
Starker exhales, looking years older than he did. “We all miss him, but he’ll be in the stars.” He puts a hand on Peter’s shoulder. Peter doesn’t push him away. Instead, he leans into it as he stares out into the stars.
“Yeah.”

I SAW GOTG 3
I have some issues so yall are gonna have to deal with my dumbass.
the Arrow scene, While yes, having Kraglin learn how to control the Yaka arrow, I wish Yondu did more, like walked up to Kraglin and explain that he never used his head, that Kraglin was being to logical about this that he needed to use his emotions. (might draw later)
Stakar and the ravagers, we see another glimpse of how the ravagers work, they miss each other, but will abandon each other in hot water because they don't wanna deal (THEY HAVE 99 FUCKING FACTIONS THEY CAN DEAL WITH FIGHTING FOR ANOTHER RAVAGER). I feel that's part of the normal ravagers, where as with Yondu's clan it felt like a no man left behind situation.
Adam warlock was a little bitch during most of that movie, it was damn insufferable to watch him, even more than fucking Pratt.
THE FUCKING SPACED SCENE!!! God what the hell? Even tho Starbitch lost his connection to the light doesn't fucking mean he's weak as shit! He still has enhanced durability and strength! Also doesn't he still have his mask? like in gotg2 he had it broken but in endgame or infinity war he had it which was after gotg2. WHERE THE HELL WAS IT???
Kraglin needed to be a bigger role tbh.

Marvel Presents #4 (Gerber/Milgrom, Apr 1976). Starhawk’s distant intellectualism suddenly seems like arrogance, when he accidentally reveals a body swap connection to a woman — probably his wife! We already knew that he abandoned his kids to guard the galaxy but there’s definitely more to the story. And another lady joins the book. Enter the Mercurian Nikki Gold!

Starhawk is an interesting case. As a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, They are actually made up of three beings, the cryptic strategist Stakar Ogord, the kind-hearted warrior Aleta Ogord, and the millennias old member of the Fraternity of Raptors, Kestrel.
There’s more info about them beneath the cut.
In this reality, Stakar and Aleta were childhood friends before an accident links the two, making it so only one of them can exist in the material plane while the other is trapped in a dimension of darkness known as the Null Space. Over the course of the next 200 years, the two would get married and manage to split up long enough to have a family.
In their present, Stakar and Aleta are divorced after the death of their children. Aleta hates Stakar for his cold exterior and manipulative nature. Stakar still holds some affection for Aleta, but knows that she will never love him again. Once Kestrel fully wakes up, he hates both of them due them stopping him from fully taking over and fulfilling his purpose.
