DC accidentally made Stephanie a csa/grooming victim in addition to Arthur's parental abuse.One of her dad's friend's tried to SA her when she was in elementary school and it scarred her so much she remembered all the details years later when she told Tim about it,her boyfriend who got her pregnant realistically must've been a few years older than her taking both his design and characterization into account and she calls Tim 'Boy Virgin' as mockery when they were 15 so she was using sexuality to cope with her home life and lack of friends caused by her anger issues and intensity and 'unusual interests for a girl' and i don't buy that all the boys she slept with were her age because it dosen't feel accurate to irl situations and all this is making my stomach churn.All the more reason her and Mia should be friends and all the more reason i hate how the DC fandom makes Mia like Jason instead over a single line that was pretty clearly comparing himself to her as a ex-sidekick that they delibaretly misenterpreted.Stephie i wish people cared about you as something other than a bimbo tsundere gf for their manly man instead of understanding that you and Tim are EXACTLY the 'mean goth boy x bubbly pastel girl' ship they want but disregarding it because he's not a d*ddy d*m fantasy and i'm so sorry they don't appreciate you as the representation for abused girls who're still optimistic and feminine and don't hide their weirdness despite it all because they can't accept they're nothing like you and don't try to be either

Why i wish Stephanie Brown was canonically a black haired blasian girl:

I'm a black mixed woman(though half white instead)and she's a lot like me so i'd feel even more of a connection to her than i already do

Her bonding with Dick,Cass,Duke and Damian over being Batkids of color would be so precious

Her personality reminds me of a lot of other irl black women,some of who are my close friends,so she'd be realistic rep

Her story gains even more depth to it if she's a poc,such as constantly being put down for just being who she is,Tim's adoration of and kindness to her would be amazing interracial rep,her refusing to let go of her femininity even when at her toughest and so much more

Those weird white girls in the fandom who girlbossify her,compare her to white girl characters who are pick mes and/or even racist and misenterpret her in general would pretend she dosen't exist so i could finally stan her in peace

I’m dividing Bruce’s relationships with his kids into three sections as like a mental shorthand while writing,

what kind of person he was with them / what kind of ‘Batman’ or mentor he was for them / what kind of parent he was for them

Because I think each of these experiences affect how the kids see and interact with Bruce and how good of a parent he was to them varies so wildly that the additional roles he plays in their lives add context

Like for Dick it would be:

good person / good mentor / bad parent

And Jason pre-death:

good person / decent mentor / good parent

But when we get to Tim, Bruce isn’t really a fun person to be around anymore, especially in the early years, so it would go:

bad person / okay mentor / bad parent -> decent parent

For Cass I haven’t read much of her, but after I read Batgirl (2000) I’ll come back and edit this, for right now I’m leaning towards categorizing them like:

decent person / good mentor / absent parent

And then Damian:

okay person / okay mentor / (eventually) a good parent

Disclaimer, this is literally only for my own personal puedo-canon and I’m massively generalizing things. In no way am I claiming to be the ultimate authority on the ‘batfam’ but I do like to organize my thoughts online so please cope

Canon: Tim and Steph dated, Steph fake died, Tim was kind of an ass to Steph, Bruce only made Steph Robin to manipulate Tim

Me: *plugging my ears* actually Tim and Steph both became Robin at the same time when after Tim failed to convince Bruce the second time he complained to Steph who was equally as insane bc she, a 13 yo, had been trying to stop her dad’s schemes as Spoiler while Tim, a 12 yo, had been stalking Batman and Robin around and through very dangerous battles since age 9, and so they just collectively broke into the Batcave and demanded Bruce let them be Robin (which is what they both basically did in canon anyway) and he just started at them for a solid ten minutes with bags the size of Texas under his eyes and agreed, and then they basically became siblings.

Ever since I learned about Bruce's last will and testament message to Steph I've been keeping an informal mental ranking list of who most deserves to get to throw Bruce into the Gotham harbor with concrete shoes and shark bait strapped to his ass.

Dick: *Having Kill Bill siren flashbacks to dozens of arguments with Bruce, in which B lied, hit him, screamed at him, then threw him out of his life, and like a thousand other extremely fucked up things B has done with him.*

Also Dick: "I can't be party to this. Look he might not be perfect but he- he's Bruce!"

Stephanie: "Dick, he looked to me, an actual human woman, and said 'hey go be character development for my nearly adult son'. We're not even killing him anyways; he's just gonna Houdini his way out of this!"

Jason 'The Unavenged' Todd, not looking up from where he's already been mixing up the concrete: "Okay Steph, I was gonna reserve the right to be who drop kicked him off the boat, but I feel like maybe we can share that honor."
