this is THE wildest explanation possible for why clark didn't just get information about krypton from hal in the early days. just straight up refusing to give dude the answer to the question that's haunted him his entire life because it'd be sort of an uncomfortable conversation. fully deranged. but also maybe the most relatable thing hes ever done

Jason's thighs this, Jason's thighs that. Dick's thighs would crush you like a walnut.
This man is midair and not only can he hold up his own body weight, he can support another man on top of his thighs while simultaneously clenching his thighs of steel around his motorcycle to keep it from careening hundreds of feet below!
Tumblr media
Nightwing Vol. 4 #41
Not only that but he can also throw shit with his thighs. Get a load of how he launches Superman through the air.
Tumblr media
Grayson Annual #2
That's right. His thighs are strong af 😤. Who's your thigh king now?

"...Call you a friend."
Superman: The Man of Steel (1991) Annual #4
I do like this version of Hal and Clark's first encounter. It has such nice sweet but bittersweet tones that do well to outline both of their personalities and deep care for other people.

Hal Jordan Reading List
Tumblr media
Hal Jordan is a man of many names and many legends. He was once the Green Lanterns' best and brightest. His name and legend is written into the stars. He fell, brilliantly and terribly. He rose again as the Spirit of Vengeance, the Spirit of Redemption! He returns in the end to his place among the Green Lanterns. But to truly know the man, you must read the stories.
Most important stories are bolded and my favorites are asterisked
Origin Stories
Some of these repeat, not all are necessary but I advise reading at least Emerald Dawn/Emerald Dawn II or Secret Origins or Showcase #22
Emerald Dawn (1990), first appearance of the Martin Jordan backstory
Emerald Dawn II (1991)*, Hal is trained by Sinestro for the first time
Secret Origins (Green Lantern (2005) #29-35), Geoff Johns’ version of Hal’s backstory if reading modern Hal stuff, its important
Showcase #22*, what actually started it all
Superman: Man of Steel Annual #4*, Hal meets Clark for the first time
Secret Origins (1986) #36, Hal retells his origin to a new friend (set post Action Comics (1938) #606)
One Shots
Green Lantern Secret Files (2004) #1 “Flight”, three flights in Hal Jordan’s life*
Justice League: The Darkseid War - Green Lantern #1, Hal becomes a God and gives it up*
Green Lantern 80th Anniversary, a tribute to the Green Lanterns across the ages* (Skip Geoff’s story. You’ll thank me. Four should be read after Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #35.)
Early Days

Green Lantern (1960) #73-74, Hal returns to Coast City and fights Sinestro and Star Sapphire* (note: there will be a panel that will make your jaw drop in how racist it is, there’s some good meat besides that panel but that panel…its bad)

Green Lantern (1960) #76-#87, #89
The Flash (1959) backup stories: #217-#219, #226
Hal’s solo backups in The Flash (1959)

Green Lantern (1960) #172, Hal gets to return to Earth
Green Lantern (1960) #181, Hal quits
Green Lantern (1960) #191-192, the Predator is revealed
Green Lantern Corps (1986) (might be under Green Lantern (1960) depending on website) #220-224, Sinestro is executed (warning, this is part of Englehart glc and thus includes small references to hal/arisia, that relationship is out of character for everyone involved and I don't support it, but these issues are otherwise good)

Green Arrow (1988) #20, Hal goes and helps Ollie once again*
Secret Origins (1986) #50, Hal and Ollie make up from their fight (last story, only)

You can read Prism of Time and Fracture (#18-#25) but also you can chew glass. So. Soranik is evil now and Tomar-Tu killed a Yellow Lantern from Xudar named Romat-Ru. Don’t read it, it took me three days to finish those issues at a point where I was reading more than 30 issues a day.

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #33-36, the Earth GLs work together to save the Guardians

"space case": the pre-2005 martin jordan
these days the quintessential hal jordan is easily defined by two traits: a distinct lack of fear, and a penchant for wearing his father's air force jacket. hal's father is his hero, you all know that. or, that's what you've been led to believe by the post-2005 geoff johns era of green lantern that has completely overshadowed everything that had come before and worked hard to erase the slightest hint of friction between hal & his father.
first things first, the post-2005 continuity can be looked at as half a fanboy's wish and half editorial mandate -- the biggest inspiration for hal's hero worship of martin (+ the whole deal with his jacket) and his overall attitude comes from darwyn cooke's elseworlds dc: the new frontier 2004, its unparalleled commercial success was undoubtedly a leading factor in the changes that followed and cooke had once spoken about being asked to work on green lantern secret files and origins 2005 (the one-shot that would jumpstart the 2005 ongoing series after the rebirth miniseries) for precisely that reason.
Tumblr media
(graphic ink: the art of darwyn cooke)
secondly, for thirty (count 'em!) years of hal jordan's existence there had been no mention of his parents whatsoever. he had brothers, cousins, uncles come in and out of his life throughout green lantern 1960 but never parents. that all changed in 1989 with green lantern: emerald dawn #1, the first real attempt to give hal an origin (see below).
Tumblr media
lastly and most importantly, martin had undoubtedly been an abusive father to hal and remained one of his few deep deep actual fears.
i'll be your guide through these pre-2005 appearances and mentions of martin and his relationship with hal, presented in chronological order based on real life release dates rather than internal chronology.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
("you just can't make me proud of you, can you, son?" emerald dawn 1989 #2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
("well, he's still like he always was. i guess i'll always be a failure in his eyes, that's all. nothing i can do is going to change that", green lantern 1990 #48, published 1994)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
("my fault! all my fault. father always said i'd be a failure!", superman: the man of steel (1991) annual #4, published 1995)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
("the problem with you, hal, is you always got your head in the clouds", unpublished 'emerald interlude' originally slated for legends of the dc universe 1998 #33)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
("screwed up again, didn't you, space-case?! just once i'd like you to get something right!", legends of the dc universe 1998 #35, published 2000)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
("you become what you know. and what you didn't know you knew. like what you learn at the end of someone's arm. you learn to go blank. like maybe things with him would change if you could just give him what he wants. if you could just take it like a man", dc comics presents: green lantern 2004 #1)
interestingly enough, each of these stories is the work of different writers and between legends of the dc universe and dc comics presents: green lantern the narrative woven throughout becomes explicit -- hal perceives martin's abuse as abuse of power first and foremost, and doesn't just fear becoming 'what he knows' but also fears that he already did by abusing the power of the green lantern as parallax. all in all, it's an incredibly complex narrative seldom afforded to superheroes nowadays and an entirely vital part of hal's characterisation that we've been robbed of for far too long now.

Superbat and the Kryptonite Ring: A Reading List
Tumblr media
The quick guide, if you just want to jump right in:
Superman (1987) #2
Optional: Action comics annual #1, Adventures of Superman #466, Action Comics #653. These lead up to Dark Knight over Metropolis.
Dark Knight over Metropolis: Superman (1987) #44, Adventures of Superman #467, Action Comics #654
Superman: The Man of Steel #21
Superman (1987) #126 (+ Action Comics #737)
Superman: Lex 2000 (one-shot)
Superman (1987) #168
Detective Comics #756
Batman #612
Optional: Superman/Batman #6, #12, #44-#49, Justice League (2011) #19-20, Batman/Superman (2019) Annual #1
When I think of Superbat, I think of trust. And when I think of superbat and trust I think of this:
Tumblr media
panels from Action Comics #654
(and other things, but that's beside the point for this post). Superman trusts Batman with his life, and the decision to stop him if he ever needs to. But Batman also trusts Superman to make the right choice, giving the ring to him first. Even though at this point in post-crisis continuity they're not really friends - they know each other and their secret IDs, they've hung out a couple of times, but that's about it - Bruce doesn't make this choice himself and keeps anything from Clark, but gives the choice to Clark. This is not (yet) the paranoid Batman that keeps things like this from Clark.
So, where does this symbol of their friendship and trust come from, you ask? What happened to and with the ring throughout the years of post-crisis canon? Let's get into it under the cut.
The origin
Superman (1987) #2 (beware the Byrne-era Superman)
(Optional: Action comics annual #1, Adventures of Superman #466, Action Comics #653)
Dark Knight over Metropolis: Superman (1987) #44, Adventures of Superman #467, Action Comics #654
The kryptonite ring first makes its appearance in post-crisis continuity when Lex Luthor fashions a ring from a sliver of kryptonite that came from Metallo. However, its radiation causes him to get cancer and subsequently lose his hand. He keeps the ring in a safe after that. It eventually gets stolen by Amanda McCoy, who has found out that Clark is Superman, and goes to confront him with it. She panics and flees, leaving Clark behind, and she gets mugged and killed. The ring makes its way to the streets of Gotham, where it ends up in Batman's hands.
Dark Knight over Metropolis tells the story of Batman investigating the ring and its previous owner and her death. In the end and after saving each other multiple times, Bruce tells Clark about the ring he found and gives it to him. Eventually Clark shows up at the cave to give it to Bruce, the only man he can trust with his life.
Lost... and retrieved
Superman (1987) #126 (+ optional Action Comics #737)
Superman: Lex 2000
Superman (1987) #168 and Detective Comics #756
In Superman #126, Lex claims he needs the ring when he's on trial. Clark goes to batcave to pick it up himself and hands it over for tests, after which he gets it back, because he believes in fair trial. However, when Clark gets the ring back it's been replaced by a fake (something he doesn't notice because in his Superman blue era he was not susceptible to kryptonite). Luthor has the real one again, right before he becomes president.
Tumblr media
panels from Superman (1987) #126
In the Superman: Lex 2000 one-shot, one of the stories shows Batman breaking into Lexcorp to threaten Lex to give back the ring, but this backfires.
Tumblr media
panels from Superman: Lex 2000
In Superman #168, Lois then finally decides to take matters into her own hands and asks Batman for help stealing the ring back from Luthor, because Clark won't tresspass into the White House to steal it.
Tumblr media
panels from Superman #168
This very chaotic but fun story is continued in Detective Comics #756. In the end, the ring is back with Clark, Lois, and Bruce. Though we never actually see who of them gets to keep it, I'm going to assume it's Bruce, because he has it in Batman: Hush, which takes place some years after this story.
Could Bruce use it? And Batman's paranoia
Superman: The Man of Steel #21
Batman #612
Superman/Batman: the Search for Kryptonite (#44-49) (specifically #49)
Justice League (2011) #19-20
Clark trusts Bruce enough to give him the means to stop him if he ever needs to, but could Bruce actually go through with it if he had to? Now, there are other contingencies that he has for a rogue Superman, as shown in Tower of Babel, but green K is the most direct one.
In 1993's Superman: The Man of Steel #21, set after Superman's death, there is a page that shows Bruce brooding in front of the case where he keeps the ring and contemplates if he could have used it. He sounds doubtful and above all reluctant when he says he would have had to, though ultimately it wouldn't have mattered anymore since Clark was dead at the time.
Tumblr media
panels from Superman: The Man of Steel #21
This is much different from the Batman we see in Hush, where he keeps the ring on himself instead of in a case, and uses it without any doubt. In Batman #612, part of the Hush storyline, when Clark is under Poison Ivy's control, he uses it freely on Clark, enough to subdue him and snap him out of Ivy's control, but no more than that.
Of course, Batman doesn't kill, but from the moment Clark gives him the ring, the implication is given that there might be a scenario where it's a last resort and he actually has to stop Clark. I believe there is a comic that explores this in the Armageddon 2001 crossover, but I haven't read it. Or any other Elseworld stories where Superman goes evil, so I'm not aware if Bruce has ever used it like that. I like to think that even if he needs to, Bruce finds another way, because that's what Superman and Batman do.
Finally, in Superman/Batman: The Search for Kryptonite, Clark asks Bruce to help him rid the world of Kryptonite, after the large asteroid that carried Kara had come to earth. They go about this together very meticulously, and in the end, Clark decides to give Bruce the final piece of kryptonite. But when Bruce goes to deposit it in his cave, we see that he has all varieties and a stockpile of green K.
Tumblr media
panels from Superman/Batman #49
This first of all is weird because doesn't Clark know that Bruce already has a kryptonite ring? Unless continuity was wiped somewhere inbetween again. But it also shows how paranoid Batman has become, how far we've strain from the Bruce that really trusted Clark and gave him the ring first in 1990 to do with it what he wanted. Instead, Bruce now keeps a lot of kryptonite unbeknownst to Clark. I personally like the 1990 version of Bruce much better.
During the New 52 era, Bruce also had a Kryptonite ring that was given to him by Clark, as shown in Justice League (2011) #19 and #20.
Extra appearances
Superman/Batman (2003) #12, Superman uses it or a different piece himself on Supergirl.
Batman/Superman (2019) Annual 1, a very fun Superman vs. Batman story :D
In animation: Justice League Doom, loosely based on Tower of Babel.
Fun fact: in JLA: Tower of Babel, Bruce's contingency for Clark has nothing to do with green K, unlike in the movie. I'm assuming that this is because at the time, in the comics, Bruce didn't have the ring, it was in Lex's posession (during his presidency). Besides that, Bruce's contingency for Clark in Tower of Babel is something that would affect him no matter where he is.

Martin Jordan:
Okay he's not going to win but whatever I'm pissed at him (<-person who rereads emerald twilight 3-4 times a month and legends of the dcu #35 at least once a month voice). He was told to abort his plane 8 times, but he didn't because he was too proud. Let me repeat, he left his wife and three children (one of which is implied to either be a baby or very young, he doesn't remember his father) because he was too proud to abort, he would rather be a dead man with stats than an alive one without them (Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn (1990) #1). He looked down on Hal, saying that he would always be a failure (Superman: Man of Steel (1987) Annual #4), thought of him as a space case who would never be able to amount to anything (Green Lantern (1990) #48, Legends of the DC Universe (1998) #35), he never told Hal he was proud of him not even once (Green Lantern (1990) #48). He even physically abuses Hal (Legends of the DC Universe (1998) #35, DC Universe Presents: Green Lantern (2004) #1 (note: that's an out of continuity book) to the point he shows up in Hal's worst fears (Legends of the DC Universe (1998) #35). Please understand, this is Hal's idea of hell post Parallax, yet Martin is shown as a fear equal to Parallax (ie the ability to murder the Green Lantern corps, who he refers to as his family, without caring). He's the reason why Hal is like that, why he looks for trust and reassurance in authority figures who do not care (ie the Guardians who Hal refers to as father figures in Justice League of America (1960) #184). Hal idealized him, worshiped the ground he walked on (Green Lantern (1990) #48) yet Martin never cared. He didn't care enough to abort. He didn't care enough about his own children to sacrifice his pride so that he would live, so that they wouldn't have to see their father die a fiery death. Of course, do you think Hal had that in mind when he committed suicide by throwing himself in the sun? (The Final Night (1996) #4, described as suicide in Green Lantern Sleepers Book One).
Barry Allen:
He literally forgot Wally existed fr 💀
Acsedently erased wally from existence

Note
What are your alltime favorite comics? Or just comics that you would recommend? Especially stuff that someone new could pick up without too much back reading to understand? You don't have to answer this if you don't want to but I'm looking for recommendations to branch out from just Batman/Batfam and just thought I'd ask!
this is all just off the top of my head, so i'm probably leaving out some Classics on accident, but (in no particular order):
Aquaman: Andromeda
Green Lantern (1990) (from Emerald Twilight (#48) on)
Gotham by Midnight
The Man of Steel (1986)
The Death & Return of Superman (Death of Superman, Funeral for a Friend/World Without a Superman, and Reign of the Supermen)
Superman: Last Son (Action Comics #844 - 846, #851, Annual #11)
Superman: Brainiac (Action Comics #866 - 870) & The New Krypton Saga (concludes with War of the Supermen, which is for some reason not on that reading guide)
World's Finest (2009)
Green Arrow: Year One
Green Lantern/Green Arrow
Green Arrow (1988)
The New Teen Titans (1980), Tales of the Teen Titans, and The New Teen Titans (1984)
Outsiders (2003)
Arsenal (1998)
Titans (1999)
Titans (2008)
Deathstroke (2016)
Steel (1994)
Aquaman: Time & Tide
L.E.G.I.O.N.
R.E.B.E.L.S. (all good, but i especially love from #15 on for kory content)
Aquaman: Death of a Prince
Tempest (1996)
the whole war of light era of green lantern, which i have a bigass reading guide for, but Red Lanterns & Red Daughter of Krypton in particular
Convergence: The Titans
Convergence: Green Lantern/Parallax
Convergence: Green Lantern Corps
Valor (1992) (the first few issues kind of drag, but it picks up quick (after #10, specifically)! the D.O.A. arc is an all-time fave for sure, and Valor #19 might actually be my all-time favorite single comic book issue point blank period)
roy's titans era (New Titans #100 - 130)
The Trial of Superman & Reign of Doomsday (these have literally nothing to do with each other, but we're grouping them together because neither one of them is particularly good. i mean, they're not terrible or anything, but really, they're only faves because i'm a huge sucker for storylines that involve the entire superfam lol)
Superman: The Black Ring (this one is here just because i appreciate how incredibly HECTIC it is. lex 1v1s a gorilla in the middle of the jungle, meets death, becomes a space god, builds a lois sexbot that ends up having been possessed by brainiac the entire time. also slade is there for like 2 pages solely to lose his shit and run around screaming like a little girl. the best kind of comic book insanity. magnifique)
those 5 minutes pre-reboot where damian joined the titans in a way that wasn't annoying as hell (Teen Titans (2003) #88 - 91, Red Robin #20, Teen Titans (2003) #92)
Wonder Woman (1987) (post-crisis ww & superman are both all-time faves, but this is a much better standalone read because it's way more self-contained & not constantly jumping between 9 different titles. again, all good imo, but i'm much more partial to everything post-artemis's introduction in #90 <3)
Superboy (1994) (ngl, i didn't super love the majority of this book. there's a LOT of good for sure, but it is very 90s, and that's not always a good thing. it's not terrible (apart from the romance aspect), and i'd still recommend reading it for sure, but there was definitely a lot of skimming and skipping around when i read through. ~#59 is where i started to find myself skimming a lot less, so if you find yourself having a hard time getting into it, too, i'd say just start there, then go back & read the earlier issues later)
post-crisis superman in general (so good, but holy fuck is it a pain in the ass to read. there were 600 superman titles running at all times, and EVERY single arc bounced between damn near all of them. i really want to make a ridiculously long reading guide for it, too, one day, but for now, you can fight your way through using this with me, if you'd like)
i'm still just starting to break into legion comics myself, so i don't think i can really give good recs for them just yet. i'm really enjoying them so far, though, so it's worth a mention. if you enjoy just jumping right into the deep end with 0 context like i do, i just started the 90s legion halfway through via superboy & valor. no idea what the hell's going on or who anybody is half the time, but that's just part of the fun. it's like sink-or-swim style language immersion but for ridiculous comic book people who talk entirely in references i don't understand even a little
i started with the valor arc in Superboy (1994) #17 - 19, then the following the Future Tense arc, and i just kinda kept reading Legionnaires & Legion of Super-Heroes (1989) from there. also picked up The Legion (2001) with #25, where kon joins up, with zero context for anything that'd happened before in that. this is an objectively terrible way of doing things, but also very fun as long as you don't mind a learning curve
also special mentions for a couple single issues that have always stuck out to me for some reason:
Justice League of America (2006) #11 (feel the need to put like... a claustrophobia warning on this one lol? a very anxiety-inducing read! be warned!)
Superman #712 (krypto-centric issue post-kon's death in Infinite Crisis. makes me want to scream every time i think abt it <3)
and i know you probably meant dc, but tbh most of my All Time Faves are marvel, so i have to mention a few:
X-23 (there are like 3 different volumes, and they're all so incredibly 2000s. i love them all dearly)
Wolverine: Origins
Captain America (2005)
Winter Soldier: Winter Kills
Avengers/Invaders
Old Man Logan (2015) & (2016)
Black Widow (2010)
Marvels (1994)
The Torch (2008)
Gambit (2012)
Gambit & Bishop: Sons of the Atom
Rogue (2004) (not good. kind of objectively terrible, actually, but i love rogue and i love rogue & shiro's relationship AND i love the bisexual implications with blindspot, so… here we are. if you aren't a huge rogue fan already, you will almost certainly not enjoy this lol)
Dark Wolverine & Daken: Dark Wolverine (THE absolute fave. akihiro is what a good % of the batfandom thinks jason todd is/was. bisexual, evil, obsessed with his own father. check, check, and check with a weird, violently homoerotic relationship with the punisher the cherry on top. also marjorie liu stealth confirming johnny storm's bisexuality via putting him in an absurdly toxic relationship with akihiro for like 2 issues remains both incredibly iconic and absolutely hilarious to me. 10/10/10)
in terms of more recent comics, i've pretty much only been keeping up with marvel
Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty (2022) (pretty much everything else going on (esp everything with bucky) is kind of annoying, but it has my favorite steve characterization like… maybe ever)
New Mutants (2019) (yeah, everything about krakoa era x-men is just kind of inherently annoying, but this one came outta left field near the end there with some of my favorite writing for madelyne pryor in a while and the dani moonstar & madelyne pryor enemies-to-lovers arc i didn't know i needed but am now fully obsessed with)
Midnight Suns (2022) (love a good rag-tag team of characters who have no business being on a team together. substitute teacher blade is such a powerful concept, it immediately made this an all-timer for me, and logan being drawn approximately 4ft shorter than everyone around him cemented it as a 10/10)
aaand finally, i've also really been enjoying dynamite lately. Vampirella/Red Sonja (2019) is where i got onboard with them. you don't have to know jack about these characters or universe beforehand (i didn't!), and i really can't recommend it enough, especially if you're someone who loves stories with time travel and/or bisexual vampire women
this is so messy, and i'm definitely forgetting a lot here lol, but hopefully this helps & you find something you like! good luck & have fun!

Help, I can't find any good Hal reading lists, where do I go after Emerald Dawn??
Most important stories are bolded and my favorites are asterisked. General warning of racism (Tom is called Pieface for 60 years, its bad) and sexism. Otherwise have fun! I m

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #14-17, Hal and Kyle attempt to revive the Blue Lantern Corps
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #30-31, Hal meets Parallax again, this time possessing Clark Kent*
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #33-36, the Earth GLs work together to save the Guardians

Spoilers for comics in June!
These are from the official solicits for that month, which you can see in full at Adventures In Poor Taste.
THE FLASH #10 Written by SIMON SPURRIER Art and cover by RAMÓN PÉREZ Variant covers by OTTO SCHMIDT and MATT TAYLOR DC Pride variant cover by NICK ROBLES $3.99 US | 32 pages | Variant $4.99 US (card stock) ON SALE 6/25/24 As the Arc Angles bring the Crown of Thawnes into The Gallery, Wally West has to pull himself together to face some old Rogues. Amanda Waller’s Task Force raids Terrifictech, and brings some shocking backup to keep any speedsters in line!
Very curious if these "old Rogues" are different people than the ones we've been seeing (Evan or Folded Man or Grodd), or if the term has even been improperly capitalized and he's fighting Razer or Mazdan or somebody.
That variant cover gives me vibes of Lisa's ribbons or even Roscoe, but that's probably just wishful thinking.
There's nothing overt about Hartley in this year's Pride issue, but here's the solicit just in case. Maybe he'll appear in a pin-up.
DC PRIDE 2024 #1 Written by AL EWING, NGOZI UKAZU, NICOLE MAINES, PHIL JIMENEZ, and others Art by NGOZI UKAZU, CLAIRE ROE, O’NEILL JONES, and others Cover by KEVIN WADA Wraparound variant cover by DAVID TALASKI Variant cover by BABS TARR Foil variant cover by BABS TARR 1:25 variant cover by KEVIN WADA $9.99 US | 104 pages | One-shot | (all covers are card stock) ON SALE 5/28/24 DC’s Eisner and Ringo award-winning Pride anthology returns in the form of a universe-spanning travelogue like you’ve never seen! In its pages, Dreamer makes a first-time pilgrimage to her ancestral planet, Naltor! Poison Ivy and Janet from HR go spore-hunting on Portworld! Superman (Jon Kent) gets the boys together for a night out in A-Town, but things go sideways when The Ray vanishes into thin air! Steel (Natasha Irons) works up the courage to face Traci 13 at the Oblivion Bar’s Pride party for the first time since they broke up! Aquaman (Jackson Hyde) catches an unexpected ride to the Fourth World just in time for their annual Love Festival! All this and more in a volume celebrating how the LGBTQIA+ community is everywhere and belongs anywhere—even the very furthest reaches of the universe. Plus, this year’s anthology features a special preview of the upcoming YA OGN The Strange Case of Harleen and Harley, as well as an unmissable autobiographical story written by industry legend Phil Jimenez about the fantastical worlds that shaped him, brought to life by Giulio Macaione!
