Okay okay I just finished my first play through of “Where Winter Crows Go” by the lovely and amazing @prikarin and oh my goodness, it was amazing! I found this game ages ago when I was looking for Yandere itch.Io games to feed my appetite (started by 14DWY by CuteSai, thanks for getting me into this genre), and I found WWCG! It was in its beta, only four or so days but even with that I had already fallen in love! I followed the game very closely after that, signed up to the newsletter to get info quicker, and last night I waited with bated breathe, continuously reloading the web page until I saw that little download link (I almost screamed when I saw it <3 ). This is probably one of the best VN’s I’ve ever played, and I just want to congratulate and thank Pri for working so hard and making this amazing game!

Chocolate 3 What does your OC find comforting when they are distressed or anxious? Are they able to ask for this comfort from others? Or do they need to be alone?

Depends on the kind of distress and how strong it is. But generally his strongest instict is to withdraw and be alone, usually in animal form (I can finally say this omg!!). Sometimes straight up just flee the situation. What actually comforts him a lot though is kind words from others, words of affirmation, words of comfort, just gentle words that prove to him that things are not as disastrous as they might seem. He would never in a million years even consider asking for that though xD

5 Does your OC ever comfort eat when they are unhappy? If so then what food do they find most comforting and why? If not, then what might they do instead?

His appetite gets worse if he's unhappy so not much comfort eating happening. However he has discovered that he loves chocolate, thanks to Nielh so graciously sharing it, and that actually helps when he's feeling down c:

Cheesecake 1 Has your OC fully realised their own potential? If not in their own view, then perhaps in the opinions of others?

Nooooo, he's only just barely started on his journey of growth and self realisation, he has miles still to go. But his new friends are helping so so much!

Ice cream 5 At what point did your OC consider their childhood to be over? Was it a milestone in terms of age? Or did it follow a particular event? Did they feel ready for adulthood at that point?

Hmm I think if we're talking strictly childhood, then he felt like that part of his life was over once he started joining the hunting parties around 14-15. He didn't consider himself an adult though until he received his vallaslin at 17. He definitely thought he was ready for adulthood but boy did he very quickly face tough challenges he was not prepared for xD

Doughnuts 3 Does your OC take the time necessary to recover fully from exertions or strain? Or do they sometimes push themselves to get back out out into the fray (literally or figuratively) before they are truly ready?

Oh once he's with the Inquisition he constantly pushes himself out there without being ready and recovered. Sometimes because he truly has to but often just because he feels obligated to and would feel too guilty resting in his rooms when he feels "needed out there". He isn't completely unreasonable though and some stern words from the healers, Josephine or Dorian will persuade him to stay and rest more. Usually.

5 Does your OC believe that good deeds should be their own reward? Or do they prefer that appreciation be shown through generous material compensation?

Oh Faron is definitely an altruist, honestly not helping people and doing things out of kindness would eat him up inside. Who cares about rewards.

Candy 1 Does your OC have any "guilty pleasures"? Are they at all secretive or embarassed about these?

Honestly what gives him most enjoyment is sitting with Sips and work on spell stuff together, or just watching Sips be brilliant and work on spells. He would definitely be super embarassed to admit that when he was younger, but as they grow old together I don't think it's a secret anymore c:

4 For what (if anything) is your OC most greedy? Perhaps fame? Sexual satisfaction? Knowledge? Power? Or something else entirely?

Knowledge, 100%. In fact he often does quite stupid/inadvisable things for the chance that he might learn a tiny bit of new knowledge. That and ink and paper for new spells xD

Ice cream 3 Does your OC have a good sense of humour? What kind of jokes do they find funny? Do they have a favourite joke themselves?

It takes a lo to make him laugh at jokes, he has to really find it funny. Usually that would be something with a really clever word play or particularly niche wizard references.

Dio

Lollipops: 2 To what degree does your OC fear failure? Are they something of a perfectionist in all things? Or can they accept a chance of failure in some situations?

Dio is a bit less of a perfectionist actually. He doesn't really fear failure too much in most circumstances, after all his entire existence has been framed as a failure from the day he was born, so he doesn't feel like he can really do that much worse than being born in the first place.

4 What does your OC see as being their greatest failure? Does the memory of this still fill them with feelings of guilt or shame? Are their feelings of failure justified?

There isn't really any one big thing Dio failed that haunts them or anything. But when they were still small they tried their hardest for years to please their parents, they thought that if they behaved really well and did perfectly in all their lessons and chores that their parents would finally love them. They were around 5 when it finally sunk in that no matter how well they did or how much they excelled in their lessons, their parents never paid any more attention to them and never looked at them with anything other than disdain. They felt like they failed to make their parents love them. This realisation definitely shattered Dio's self worth and made them feel like an unlovable ugly thing that didn't deserve to be alive, feelings that they have struggled with since.

Doughnuts 1 Is your OC someone who finds it easy to relax? Or do they tend to always be busy and in need of external stimulation?

They prefer to be moving and actively doing things, pausing too long and not having anything to occupy them easily leads to dwelling on dark thoughts and their terrible self worth. Being in the army this wasn't a problem though, there was either constant training or actual battle happening, whenever there was a small break for rest they would pass out from exhaustion and not have any time to think. Then with the tadpole gang there always was some problem to solve or travelling to be done, so that worked fine too.

He is Bisexual (specifically demi-bi!!) : LISTEN LISTEN he's canonically been in love with a woman named Jaania for ages now and really cares deeply about her ( i have lots of screenshots but to save space I shan't add them here but literally throughout the main story he'll bring her up and how guilty he feels for being part of the cause that she was encased in a crystal prison for like. Years. How afraid he is to talk to her again because "what if I make a mistake" and how she now all but despises him (i could go on for awhile just on this part but ANYWAYS))

(cont.) At the same time he has a friend he's known for awhile named Alexander who loved Jaania as well. In the same accident that caused Jaania to be imprisoned, Warlic had set Alexander on fire which was Alexander's villain origin story so to speak and he becomes the main antagonist of Book 1 (Warlic has immense guilt over this as well and I also have screenshots but this is already long ALSKDGHAIB).

(cont. 2) POINT IS THOUGH... at some point they both go to see Jaania again but it goes really. really wrong (Elegy of Ice and Fire is so good and describes what happens and is my favorite quest ever) and EVENTUALLY HE TAKES ALEXANDER IN CALLS HIM ALEX AS A NICKNAME AND NO ONE ELSE REALLY DOES AND NOW THEY'RE ROOMMATES ALONG WITH WARLIC'S OTHER ROOMMATE CYSERO (WHICH HE CALLS CY)

TLDR he has a lot of guilt, a lot of love, and i like to think he's bi :)(specifically demi-bi! :) )

2. (we finally got to 2 ALSKDHF) Doesn't wear socks because Cysero (roommate) has stolen all of them

3. Cries. often. BUT ALONE... DUDE he's constantly wracked with canonical guilt, has cried not once but twice before, and described to have paralyzing fear, but literally every time something that might make him vulnerable is brought up he shuts down the conversation/thought. The one time you the main character bring up Jaania after another incident he teleports you away before you can finish BUT NOT BEFORE IT ZOOMS AWAY WITH HIS SADDNED EXPRESSION AND I AIAUGHIAUBHIUHGIUAHGUH....

well hello, pretty stranger.

after atsumu signed yet another one of his fan's merchandise of him, he took in a deep breath and tried to brace himself for another round of smiling nonstop and acting all charming, like how his fans think of him as. it does get suffocating after a while of this, all he can imagine of to keep himself sane and from teetering at his wits' end is by dreaming of coming home in a few hours, laying down on your lap, and being treated to a night long full of loving between you two.

as he's stuck day dreaming about you, the next person in line comes up; with her excusing herself to him to catch his attention as he sat there, in a bit of a daze, imaging how soft your lap would be and how much he just wants to get this over with already so he can smother you with his affection.

he soon snaps out of his gaze when she waves her hand in front of his face a little, catching his attention. he quite literally snaps out of it, his back jolting in surprise as he gains sobriety once more and realizes just where he is and what he was doing before dreaming of you and your embrace. he chuckles and rubs the back of his head, an embarrassed smile on his face as he apologizes for not noticing her earlier.

he doesn't look at her face yet, but he politely takes the jersey she handed to him to sign, but for some reason, the feel of the jersey was... familiar. the smile fades from his lips as he looks over the clothing she handed him, seeing the number on the jersey was the same as his, but on the back, the words, "mrs. miya" were printed on them. it was then that atsumu realized... you came to his signing, you came to his meet and greet today.

all his wishes came true much earlier than he thought, and when atsumu looked up, his suspicions were confirmed. "um... are you okay, mr. miya?" you ask him with a shy, yet awfully knowing, smile; making atsumu do a double take and pause for a minute to collect his thoughts. he nodded and gave you a beaming smile. "yep! ...never been better." he muttered as he signed your jersey, taking all his time to let this moment with the woman he'd spend the rest of his life with in a few months linger for just a split second longer.

when you thank him and take the jersey back from him, he sneakily wraps his calloused hands around your wrist, gently pulling you close to him as he whispers in your ear, "thanks for saving my ass and sanity, babe. i love ya." and when he relinquished his grip on your wrists, leaving you flustered and unable to return his 'i love you', he looked to you from the side as you were about to leave and wait for him somewhere in the building, sending you a genuine smile of gratitude, and a wink your way. he couldn't wait to officially make you his mrs. miya in the future... you gave him enough energy and excitement to last 50 more of these meet and greets for one whole sitting!

No one looked at you the way he did. He looked at you as though instead of him being the predator, you were. He looked at you as if you could hurt him. As if you hated him. His eyes watched your every move and he even jumped when you would made any short, sudden movements.

You didn't want to hurt Ramattra. Hell, you never once thought about harming an omnic. Even during the war, when you were told you had to fight. All you wished was for a way that Ramattra could trust you. Trust anyone in Overwatch.

He wouldn't let anyone near him except any of the omnics/robots of Overwatch, spending most of his time with Zenyatta and questioning Bastion. If he was in the common rooms of the Overwatch headquarters, his eyes would linger on every human with hatred. He would watch as Bastion and Torbjorn would spend time together and Orisa would make jokes with Hanzo. He watched with what you couldn't tell was sadness, jealousy, anger or a mixture of all three.

He refused your help, even though you were the only one in Overwatch that could repair omnics like a doctor, only letting Zenyatta fix his wounds as best he could. Even though Zen knew what he was doing, it wasn't enough. He begged for you to help Ramattra, but you could only do so much.

"I want Ramattra to trust me," you had told Zen as you were cleaning up your studio. "More than anything. But I also know that he has been through hell and back. I can't force him to like me, let alone trust his lift in my hands."

"I understand my brother," Zen said to you. "But if he wants this terrible burden the world has given to him, he needs to allow humans to help. Especially humans like you." Zenyatta gave your chest a little poke and you smiled.

"I can't convince him to trust me..." You started.

"But I can try." You couldn't see it, but you knew Zen was giving you a warm smile.

After that, you didn't think much of the conversation. There was only so much that the two of you could do. You spent your time doing what you were used to doing, fixing up other robots and omnics alike who have seen more than one should.

Echo would come into your office with a smile and a crack in her arm and tell you stories, which always left you with a smile; Orisa would tell you about her past, and what she sees for her future; and Bastion would beep at you with pleasure, showing you what he had found for Ganymede.

You liked what you had, and if Ramattra wasn't a part of it, that was his choice. And that was the way you thought it was going to be for a while.

Until you heard the door to your studio open, the sound of sparking wires enter.

You smiled and turned around in your spinning chair, nearly gasping at what you found.

Ramattra's giant figure stood in front of you, his entire arm torn off with fiery sparks flying off of him, his artificial breaths uneven.

You jumped out of your seat and pointed to a medical bed large enough to fit him in the corner of the room. You didn't panic or rush, you just did your job.

Without a word, you fixed his arm and cleaned up burn marks and mud dusting his mechanical body. And he watched in silence as you mended his body back together, making it feel good as new.

You looked up at him with a smile and asked him to move his arm. "Better?" You asked, looking into his dark eyes.

He nodded at you, moving his elbow and fingers at the same time, seeing not only that they were fixed, but flowed perfectly, like a river.

"Need anything else done? Anything bothering you?" You documented your work on your computer and turned to Ramattra, who cleared his throat.

"No. Everything seems to be fine." You realized that this was the first time he had ever spoken to you and the first time you had ever heard his voice this close to you. It was deep and comforting with what sounded like gravel behind it.

"Well, I'm sorry that happened to you, but you should be good as new."

After a bit of hesitation, Ramattra sucked in a breath. "Thank you." His voice was soft and he looked down at his hands.

"You're welcome." You thought he would leave after that, but he didn't.

You paused and looked at Ramattra, who's eyes were still not on you. "You don't mind that I did that, right?" You asked, your voice kind and curious. "I know it must bother you that I'm a human and all."

Ramattra chuckled softly and looked up at you. "Well, actually, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. A helpful human is a nice change of pace. I feel," he looked up at the florescent lights in the room. "Better."

You smiled at him, but didn't know what to say.

"You know," Ramattra said, looking back down at his hands. "My brother convinced me to come here several times, but I never listened. He was on my butt about coming her now because there was no way he was going to fix a torn off arm."

You smiled. "Zenyatta's a great healer, but I don't think he knows how to weld back pieces of his own body."

Ramattra laughed at you, the roughness of his voice now soft and light.

"I don't trust him with fire at all to be honest," you said, laughing yourself.

That made Ramattra laugh harder and he looked at you with what seemed like a smile as he tilted his head.

"This took me a while," he admitted, sitting in a chair next to yours. He was a giant next to you. "But I'm really glad I came here. I don't know how often I'll be coming in though. I'm still... getting used to things."

"I understand," you told him, giving him the space he needs. "But if anything like this happens, know that I'm here to help. I promise."

Ramattra hums in approval and grabs your hand, placing what would be his lips to it, almost like he just pressed a kiss to your knuckles. You feel your face heat up as his cold fingers glide over your warm ones. He drops your hand and bows at you.

"I'll be on my way then," he says, getting up and walking to the door. "Thank you... for being so patient with me."

"Of course." You watch him walk out of the room, your voice trailing off.

You knew you were blushing, but how could you not. You hoped he would be back, but buried that thought. You don't want him to be hurt again, dummy. So you just sat and thought about what Ramattra had told you. A helpful human is a nice change of pace. You smiled at the thought. You hoped you could be the one to help.
