Prompt 125
So. Apparently touching unknown artifacts is bad. Who would have thought. Not the Dannys that’s for sure. They had been distracted with their prank war after all.
But uh, now they’re in a new world, with a black-haired child staring at them with borderline stars in his ice-blue eyes.
Nine year old Bruce just saw some sort of portal open up (MAGIC?!), and drop some sort of really spherical eggs that hatched into what he’s pretty sure are some sort of raptors within two seconds. A trio of feathery raptors that he takes inside to show Alfred, who would be far more worried if not for it being the first time he’s seen Bruce smile in nearly a year.
Well it seems they have a trio of sapient raptors. That can apparently breathe fire, ice, and electricity respectively. They can… totally deal with this. At least that robber didn’t lose their foot.

[Fluff] [Genshin Men x Reader] What Made Them Fall For You?
Xiao, Wanderer/Scaramouche, Diluc

CONTENT
Headcanons on what makes the genshin pookies fall for you <3 Fluff, gender neutral reader, men falling for reader, reader is not traveler but is friends with them, mentions of character's trauma, CHARACTERS ARE 18+
AUTHOUR NOTES
I hope to eventually write about all the men >:) it will probably take a while to get to it but I’ll try to keep each one short to encourage myself to finish them all hehe.
Tumblr media
XIAO
I think Xiao would start to fall for you because you see through his tough, mean guy act. You can tell that even though his words are harsh and he’s telling you to leave him alone, he’s just protecting you. You might not see it at first, but as you understand his condition, his karmic debt, you understand him. Your realization makes you feel warm knowing that Xiao is really just an innocent soul who wanted to keep you safe. He wants so badly to never hurt anyone ever again and “repent” in solitude even though he has nothing to really repent for; he was forced to kill by his previous master and his karmic debt only comes from killing the remnants of old gods and absorbing their debt.
You start to hang around him more as a result and, much to Xiao’s dismay, he doesn’t hate it. In fact, he actually enjoys how you reignite the warmth in him, the warmth he hasn’t felt in so long since his fellow Yaksha have passed. But did he want to let you in? Shouldn’t he push you away? He’s been alone for so long, why change that now? He felt like he didn’t deserve to enjoy company again, that he didn’t deserve you and your kindness. But maybe just this time… just once, would he allow it.
WANDERER
I think Wanderer would start to fall for you because you make him feel human emotions like he’s never felt before. He’s always searched for a “heart” in the form of a gnosis, thinking it would make him human and make him feel loved and wanted. But even when he had it, it didn’t feel right. Even now, with his anemo vision, he feels more, but still not what he wants. But with you, it feels perfect. Others would probably describe what he feels as something like “butterflies in my stomach” but since he probably doesn’t really experience physical things like that, being a magical puppet and all, he thinks about how you make his vision glow. When he feels a surge of emotions, it feels like he’s using his vision. It feels powerful, happy, strong, and warm, like how a light breeze feels on a sunny afternoon.
You know about his past, what he did, and how the world wronged him. He’s been so traumatized and can barely comprehend his emotions. So when you reach out to him after he regains his memory and a new anemo vision, you try to help him through his emotions in the gentle way that you do. You’re so soft with him and it makes his vision heart ache. He believes he doesn’t deserve you but you try your best to show him otherwise. As you two get closer, you never really notice, but the wind always picks up just a little bit when he sees you.
DILUC
I think Diluc would start to fall for you because you don’t just see him as “the young and rich son of the Ragnvindr family estate.” You see him for him: Diluc. You see a beautiful soul with a broken heart that has put up walls that he intends to never break down again. Others might think that Diluc is just cold, but you and the others close to him know that no matter how cold he may seem, the pure fire that burns inside him always spreads its warmth to those around him. He’s believed for a while now that barely anyone can see what he’s hiding underneath, that people want him for his money, his property, his material things. But you prove him wrong time and time again. You sweetly say hi to him every time you see him not because you want to put on a facade to get on his good side. You don’t help him break up a fight at the tavern and clean up after because you want a monetary reward. You don’t bake him an adorable strawberry cake for his birthday because you want something back. No, you do it because you care, because you have so much love to give, and Diluc feels so lucky to be a part of your life.
He feels his feelings grow for you as time goes on. He feels you getting closer and he barely hesitates to let you in. You didn’t break down his walls, you politely made a door for yourself to enter and it makes you both laugh to think about it that way. He stays reserved around most others but always holds the door open for you, physically and metaphorically.

Thanks for reading!

How do you think a "hero and villian are forced to work together" type of episode would have worked between Luz and Belos?
(Note, this is a rough outline of what season three could look like but without any focus on subplots.)
The intro would play the way it does in Thanks to Them, and we’d get some scenes of the Hexsquad adjusting to Earth while Luz is in school. She’d still be suffering from guilt, but it would be related to abandoning Camila without thinking about how that could affect her, especially with Manny’s death. Additionally, there would be a scene where Vee and Luz talk about what happened, and Vee apologizes for taking over Luz’s life and throwing out her things without permission. I think it’d be a good thing to give Vee some more time to develop and acknowledge her own mistake.
At school, we could have a few scenes of Luz trying to fit in and being shunned as evidence for why she was so eager to leave behind the Human Realm. We’d still have the scene of Flapjack finding the Codex and the Hexsquad deciding they’d go searching for the Titan’s Blood as a surprise for Luz. It would also be around this time that we see Gus and Hunter being Cosmic Frontier nerds. They’d get the scene of the group finding giraffes and getting terrified like in canon, and they meet Masha, who gives them a hand with the code.
It would then switch to follow Philip wandering about the Human Realm, possessing or feeding on animal corpses in an attempt to regain his strength. This would be an incredibly grim set of scenes focused on the difficulty Philip has with physical survival and regaining his strength after what the Collector did. A lot of his screentime would focus on the after effects Philip experiences after the Day of Unity. He’s falling apart and having a hard time becoming stable without a form to take over, and he would frequently be interrupted and distressed by various memories that Gus went through in King’s Tide coming back and tormenting him.
He’d start working up in forms until he got to a deer and get hit by a car just like in canon, and goop would get sprayed and spilled over the road, attracting Luz’ and Camila’s attention as they’re driving home with groceries. This is the point that Philip becomes a variable to the Hexsquad, and they start trying to plan around him.
Then, as the episode continued, each party would individually realize that the Collector is a threat to their respective goals (Luz’s goal being to save the Isles and Philip’s being to destroy them) along with the unwanted necessity of needing the other person in order to be able to stop the Collector from going on a rampage. Philip could help them make another portal if they gave him the right incentive with it. The group is rightfully conflicted on it, and Hunter is the most outspoken one on the Anti-Philip side of things for obvious reasons.
Philip would probably be more active about seeking Luz out because he’s more aware of her and the Hexsquad, while the latters are still putting pieces together about where he is and grappling with the fact that he may be an asset. Eventually, he’d move to digging up corpses and possessing them to get back his human form without actually hurting any humans before he forced himself into his human form briefly to get his clothes back and starts hauling himself to the Noceda household.
The scene of Philip knocking on the door of the house that the Hexsquad’s adopted would be very tense because, a) everyone is already there, so who’s knocking on the door, and, b) Philip is possessing a literal corpse to be here. Along with, you know, he’s Philip.
He wouldn’t ever say “I need your help to take down the Collector,” because he would not want to confess that he needs help and cannot take the Collector on alone. Instead, he makes it about how the Hexsquad needs him to make a stable portal and his magical expertise will be invaluable to them. Hell, he’ll even be generous and swear to not attack them while they’re teamed up. After a lot of debate and bargaining, they come to an agreement and start working together.
The rest of the episode is about how the various characters come to terms with having to be around the monster that tried to murder them all, and how Philip attempts to balance his recovery and creating the portal. On Halloween, they go out and have a bit of fun before they go to leave, and they still see the Tale of the Brothers Wittebane. The episode would end with the characters going through the portal, except for Vee, who stays behind how she does in canon. She’s been incredibly brave in facing and dealing with her abuser/captor, and I like that she’s not expected or forced to go along after that.
In For the Future, it would focus on King and the Collector for about half of it (with a little bit of Eda and Lilith) and the expanded Hexsquad for half of it.
On King’s side of things, he is dealing with a very sadistic and manipulative Collector (Shadow Collector, my beloved /j) They’re still playing Owl House with the Collector as Luz, but they’ve amped the stakes up. Instead of puppetifying everyone immediately, the Collector is forcing everyone to play their parts through intimidation, and if they mess up, then they start getting turned into a puppet slowly. It travels kind of like possession but slower, and the victims lose control and feeling of their limbs as the spell progresses. I’m thinking a horrifying situation that kind of goes, my body is not my own.” Once someone is completely transformed, the spell is irreversible like petrification and basically becomes a corpse that is forced to move around and talk by the Collector. Eda, Hooty, and Lilith are set up by King as vital characters and are given a bit more leeway because King said they’re necessary for the game. Still, the Collector is becoming more violent as he starts to get bored with the game.
With the Hexsquad, Gus is quickly becoming one of the more important characters in the episode. The earring the at he took from Graye had a slice of Galderstone, which, contrary to popular belief, amplifies the complexity and scale of illusions that can be done. Using this knowledge, Gus makes and maintains an illusion as the Hexsquad walks that makes it seem as if there is nobody there without needing to hold breath the way they would with a glyph. He does a double-layered spell: one layer that has slight changes to the area around them and a couple animals to explain the noise they’re making, and another that just makes the group invisible to other eyes.
Willow and Amity will start talking properly about the way that things have changed over the past couple years and how just because Odalia and Alador made them stop being friends did not excuse the bullying that she did for years. Amity could properly acknowledge this and work to be better.
Camila is being a momma bear while also trying to adapt the way Luz did, and Luz finally gets to explain to her mother how she came to the Isles and how she fell in love with the place as a whole. It’s a really good bonding moment for the pair, and I think it could really help flesh out the way they interact as a family as a whole.
They’d stop at the Owl House and take a break, and Gus would have a moment where he talks to and connects with Philip. He explains his fascination and interest with humans and how he spent his childhood being enamored with them. He thought they were strange, amazing creatures that were good as a whole. Now, with what he’s seen in Philip’s memories, he feels disillusioned and hurt, like he’s lost a part of something integral to himself. How it that humans can be so horrible to people?
It would be really interesting to watch Philip and Gus to mourn their childhoods and the loss of that bright-eyed innocence about the world. After all, even if Philip believes humanity is good, he knows that there are bad people, and it can’t have been easy to learn that.
It would be a moment of genuine connection between the pair, and Philip could point out that there are good and bad people in every group, and that for every murderer or thief, there are doctors and authors and other amazing people who change the world. After listening to that, Gus pauses for a moment and says, “Have you ever considered that it’s the same way for witches, too?”
The pair stop talking after that.
Finally, finally, Luz and Philip get to talking about the way things are. Luz shares some of her concerns about being like him and how she’s a bad person for helping him meet the Collector. Philip roughly says, “You aren’t like me; you’re like Caleb.” Then we get a brief flashback scene as Philip explains a little bit of his childhood—being orphaned and dependent on Caleb with no one else in his life, the way he was all but destroyed when he saw his brother leave with Evelyn, how certain he was that Caleb wouldn’t abandon him, and everything else about his story.
At that point, Luz starts feeling awful about what happened with her mother and how scared she must have been when she found out that Luz wasn’t at summer camp and instead another realm. She wonders how she could be so thoughtless and what other ways she could have hurt the people she cares about. Philip points out that Camila is still alive and that there’s time to make things right between them. Hearing that, Luz runs off to go talk to her mother.
Camila is a bit surprised that her daughter comes to her suddenly and says that she needs to talk with her. They go into another room, and Luz pours her heart out about everything that happens and apologizes for leaving the way she did and not talking about things with her. Camila is gentle and comforts her, saying that she had been incredibly scared, but she’s proud of how much Luz has grown from her time in the Boiling Isles and how she could never ask her to leave someplace so dear to her forever.
Luz’s palisman wish in this is, “All I wanted is to feel like I belong somewhere,” because it still fits into her theme of being a weirdo and feeling misunderstood without putting pressure on her friends and family to bend over backwards to understand her even when they disagree. Stringbean is still her Palisman, but she’s just a snake as opposed to a snake-shifter.
Meanwhile, the Collector is becoming more and more suspicious of their “friend.” King goes away too often, and he’s always so secretive around Lilith and Eda! What if he’s planning something? What if he’s going to betray them the way Philip did? He begins preparing himself for King’s betrayal and spends some spies to follow the Titan. Eda, Lilith, Hooty, and King wander about in some of their limited time away from the Collector while they’re distracted or sleeping.
Eventually, the two groups meet up, and there’s a lot of joy for everyone as they reunite with each other, explain what’s been happening in the different realms, and introduce Eda, Lilith, and King to Camila. The Hexsquad is ecstatic to know that their loved ones are okay, as King confirms that he hasn’t seen any of them get puppetified (and King’s almost always there when that happens). However, once the shock has worn off, they realize that Philip is there, and they become incredibly suspicious about him. The situation is quickly explained, and the Eternal Oath between the two groups soothes them for now, but Lilith makes sure to tell Philip that she’s watching him for any suspicious business. The episode ends on the Collector, revealing that he’s seen the whole interaction.
In Watching and Dreaming, it would start shortly after Eda, Lilith, and Hooty were reunited with Luz and the rest of the Hexsquad. Philip is awkward and generally standing off to the side due to his mistreatment of both witches in the past and the growing realization that with the fight approaching, they will have to fight and either die or suffer, and Philip will have to turn against them in the end.
Eventually, the Collector would find the group and try to take King hostage for betraying him and working for his downfall. That would trigger an all out fight where everyone would scramble to get King free. Hunter would succeed by grabbing King and teleporting away after Amity restrains the Collector for a short period of time.
I’m not the best at describing fight scenes, but it would be a mess. Willow would be shooting vines at the Collector and making sure that everyone had the potential to get in range and get away if needed. Gus would be distracting, diverting, and attempting to visually overwhelm the Collector with his illusions. He might even try the bad memory thing again.
Amity would attack utilizing abomination matter and attempt to restrain the Collector’s movement. Hunter would have Flapjack and go about his usual teleportation-and-retreat based fighting style. King would use his Titan powers and Lilith would use potions (and Hooty) to destroy and hold back the puppet army. Eda and Camila would be doing their best to give the Collector hell while protecting their kids, and they’d be absolutely badass at it.
Philip would be fighting like the devil, and it’d be another opportunity to get a true sense and scale of his power. I’m thinking that because he’s the most durable and survived being liquified by the Collector, he jumps in to take most of the damage for the Hexsquad. Finally, Luz would be absolutely amazing with her glyph combinations now that Philip has had some time to teach her some of his combinations.
The fight would eventually end when Philip partially petrifies the Collector before Luz slams them with a glyph combination that nice again traps them in their prison. Then, the Hexsquad absolutely demolishes the tablet that’s used for the imprisoned and the real world to communicate.
There’s celebrations, laughing, crying, and hugging. People are hugging, and Amity and Luz kiss after the latter hugs her mother. Everyone’s celebrating, except for Philip. He’s standing off to the side and kind of staring at the scene before him. He’s seeing proof, actual proof, of the goodness of the witches and demons that he thought were evil. His entire life has been dedicated to a lie, and everything that he used to see as good is monstrous.
Philip is badly wounded, but he interrupts the festivities to attack the witches around him. Luz uses Stringbean to deflect the attack and begins fighting him back. With the wounds he has and the knowledge he’s been wrong his whole life, Philip is not fighting nearly as well as he does in his prime, making it easier for Luz to fight against him on more equal ground.
Luz asks him to stop, saying that there has to be some other way to resolve the situation. Now that she understands the situation and what caused it, maybe find another way. (Basically, she tries to pull a Steven Universe)
“How else could this have ended with how far I’ve gone?” Philip asks, continuing to fight. They continue to fight, the man getting more and more injured as they go on. Eventually, he’s too wounded to go on, and his body gives out beneath him. He passes on soon after. Luz is there when he dies, but she is not responsible for it. I want it to feel kind of somber, because he’s a pretty tragic character as a whole.
————
That’s my idea for Season Three if Philip and Luz had to team up. A lot of Thanks to Them comes from @chiconisroc’s “Was Not The Hero,” because it’s got the same sort of premise.

You know what would have been a great ending to the first season of “Wednesday” for all of us Larissa Weems simps?
It would go like this:
After Wednesday reveals Thornhill in front of Weems and Weems transforms back into her usual form, Thornhill doesn’t kill Weems but rather knocks her out like Wednesday and takes both of them hostage. Then Wednesday and Weems both escape because Goody saves Wednesday and then Wednesday frees Weems. Weems is worried about Wednesday and therefore she follows her into the woods.
In the woods, Wednesday and Weems both get attacked by Tyler, but Enid saves them both and knocks Tyler out. But Weems is wounded. That’s why Enid signalizes Wednesday to get back to Nevermore, while Enid and Thing will take care of Weems. (way better than the canon version of Enid pushing Tyler away from Wednesday and Wednesday just running away immediately without making sure that Enid will be safe... this was so ooc for Wednesday because she likes to take matters into her own hands and wouldn't just leave Enid without doing everything she could to save them both...) Wednesday leaves but then Tyler regains consciousness and attacks Weems again. This is when Sheriff Galpin appears and witnesses everything. Enid pulls Tyler away from Weems and Enid and Tyler fight. Eventually, Enid defeats Tyler.
This would have been a great scene because it would have intensified the whole “outcast vs. normie” message. When talking to Weems, Sheriff Galpin always suggested that someone from Nevermore was the monster. He had prejudices against all outcasts and clashed with Weems because of that. He was so sure that one of the outcasts was the monster that he ignored all of his son’s issues and didn’t even consider the possibility that the monster might just be one of the normies in Jericho and not a Nevermore student. Weems made it very clear to him that she does not tolerate him accusing Nevermore students without any evidence. So here we have this guy always accusing Weems of protecting the monster by protecting all of her students and now he realizes it is his own son who is the monster and who attacks Weems as the representative of Nevermore and therefore the representative of the outcasts. He thought someone from Nevermore must be the monster, but instead he witnesses his normie son attacking Weems as the representative of Nevermore and, one could say, therefore attacking Nevermore itself.
If the scene were like that, it would make this typical Tim-Burton-message “Outcasts are not per se bad people. Instead, the evil ones are the normal people who exclude outcasts and treat them poorly just because they're different.” even stronger.
After defeating Tyler, Enid transforms back into her human form and because Enid is naked, Weems immediately takes off this long grey coat of hers and gives it to Enid for her to put on. Because Enid is so small and Weems is so tall, the coat covers Enid up completely and she is protected (just imagine the wholesomeness).
This would have been such a great scene: Enid saving both Wednesday and Weems and then Weems giving her the coat in return as a way to say ‘thank you’, but also as a sign of Enid having these two sides to her: on the one hand, after wolving out, she is this giant and strong werewolf that defeats monsters and saves her friends, but on the other hand, she’s still a cinnamon role that needs to be protected at all costs and Weems protects all of her students as much as she can.
Then we have Wednesday, Bianca, Xavier and Eugene defeating Crackstone and Thornhill and then Weems and Enid come back to Nevermore, Enid still wrapped in Weems’s coat like a burrito, and then we have the well-known hug scene between Wednesday and Enid...
This would have been a better ending to the season with even stronger messages and symbolism...
Instead, Weems dies an unnecessary death and I’m supposed to just get over it...

The War of Blackened Winters
I’m going to tell you a story.
At first you won’t believe it; in fact you’ll flat out deny it is even real. Yet the more you listen to this tale of wonderment the more the things around you might start making, well, just a bit more sense.
This is the tale of a war.
A war not just people and places, but of holidays; that to this very day still rages on. A war that was brought about all by a chappy fellow named Jack Skellington.
Now, Jack was a spirited guy; real top of the party list with a smile from ear to ear. He was the embodiment of the holiday Halloween and lived for spreading fear throughout the world of humanity. But Jack was a curious lad and eventually he began to wonder what else filled the world beside terror and pumpkins.
So he set out one day and stumbled upon the most wondrous of things; a new holiday.
Jack had inadvertently wandered into the realm of Christmas. A realm of colorful lights, voices raised in song rather, presents given to all good children, and tidings of comfort and joy to all.
It was a world like none Jack had ever seen, and he could not help but want more.
One thing led to another and eventually Jack thought he could take over Christmas himself and run it just as good as Santa could. This went tail end up as you might expect and Santa stepped in to regain control of his holiday. At the end of the whole affair Santa and Jack parted ways and swore to remain in their own respective holidays.
Yet Santa was far from done with Jack.
No. The jolly saint of the winter yule tidings had privately raged against the affront done to him. Far from the hope filled eyes of elves and toys, Santa raged with anger over his imprisonment and humiliation at the hands of Jack’s followers. Between meetings for Christmas toy projections and publicity events he plotted with his inner council of elves on how best to get his revenge.
Because Santa had publicly stated that he would not seek retaliation against Jack or Halloween, his options were limited. All of his council agreed that Santa has always, and must always, be a man of his word and that any discredit of that notion could do untold damage to his image. So they needed a way to provoke Jack, or any member of Halloween in general, to make the first move and break the peace so Santa would be cast as the victim.
This was easier said than done.
Santa quickly found that while his elves could create the most complex toy known in the world in under a few minutes, they were lacking in the devious department. They had no sense of subversion or under handed tricks to pull; and they could not reach out to anyone to share their experience as it would surely give away the whole endeavor. So night after night Santa would retreat to his inner office, sit with his elves around a warm fire, and scheme only to leave by sunrise more frustrated by the lack of progress.
That was until one day and idea finally came to him from the most unexpected avenue.
While sitting in his armchair, grumbling over Jack and Halloween, Mrs. Clause entered the room and began decorating for Saint Patrick’s Day.
“Why are you doing that?” Santa grumbled as he watched his wife turn his office green, “It’s not even close to that snake charmers holiday.”
“I thought you could use a change of scenery.” She replied happily. “And besides, you’re never too early to spread holiday cheer.”
Santa opened his mouth when the weight of his wife’s statement stole the words right from his mouth. He leapt from his chair and picked Mrs. Clause up in his arms and twirled her about the room like he was a young man again.
“Well, I’m glad someone’s not in the dumps anymore.” Mrs. Clause laughed; unaware of the spark she had given her husband that would ignite the war to come. --------------
Over the following years Santa’s plan began to take form.
It all started with having Christmas preparation begin a few days earlier than it had been done last year. “We just need a bit more time.” Santa said to Thanksgiving, “With how hectic the season gets, I want to dial back the violence in stores to make things easier for parents to get their children gifts.”
Thanksgiving wanted to protest but they couldn’t deny that Christmas had a violent history. Black Friday had well earned its name and it had often cast a deadly shadow of Thanksgiving. So in the spirit of good relations, Thanksgiving agreed to allow Christmas preparation two days before Thanksgiving; and the beginning of a long road that would eventually lead to all out holiday warfare.
The agreement was the first step in a plan Santa had forecasted to span over generations before it completed itself. Every few years Santa would again approach Thanksgiving, ask for more time, and Thanksgiving would relent and cave in. A few days became half a week, then a full week, then two weeks, and three weeks until finally the beginning over November was deemed appropriate to begin Christmas preparation.
In the humans eyes this had placed Christmas as a higher priority holiday and thus slowly began diminishing the value of Thanksgiving until retail stores would barely have a hand print Turkey for Thanksgiving celebration.
As Santa watched on and saw Thanksgiving slowly recede into obscurity he knew the first stage of his plan was a success. He held no personal grudge against Thanksgiving, but as it was situated between Christmas and Halloween he viewed it as an acceptable casualty.
Now that he knew humans could be trained to erase holidays he began implementing the same tactics against Halloween. Jack was no fool though, and he had watched what had transpired to Thanksgiving with a heavy heart. He had initially sympathized with Christmas over getting extra days of preparation, but now that it had all but consumed Thanksgiving he knew that he and Halloween would be next.
Sure enough, Santa showed up one day at the entrance to Halloween town and requested an audience with all those present. At the town square before the great guillotine of merriment, he asked for Halloween to allow him one day more to prepare Christmas.
The ghouls and monsters were outraged at such a bold demand and cast the jolly fellow from their town with great gusto. It was Jack who stopped them from getting more creative with their frustration and dissuaded them from forming an angry mob; but the damage was already done.
Santa left and proclaimed that Halloween town had assaulted his person when he came in peace to discuss things diplomatically. Naturally the elves were quick to rise in ire over the treatment of their leader followed swiftly by the snowmen, rain deer, and even the notoriously recluse Yeti’s.
With minor stoking of the flames Santa was able to whip his holiday into all-out war against Halloween.
The first strike came when Christmas began preparations in mid-September; well beyond the initial proposal of a single day. Jack Skellington awoke to find humans picking Christmas decorations instead of carving pumpkins and stocking the best candy to hand out. As such he viewed Santa in violation of their agreement and declared their pact void; renewing the hostilities between the two holidays.
Soon the fields of the Holiday plain were covered in battles between Christmas elves and ghastly ghouls while in the mortal realm followers of Halloween began pushing the notion that there was a war on Halloween, not Christmas.
Christmas had long fed upon the extra month they had taken from Thanksgiving and would have overwhelmed Halloween were it not for the rejuvenated return of Thanksgiving to strike Christmas.
The war has been named the “War of Blackened Winters” and still rages to this very day as Jack Skellington and Santa lead their armies against one another to determine the fate of not just their holidays, but all of the holidays to come.

Shark… Burda but one of them is a mermaid… Mermaid AU…
OKAY me and my partner have been tossing around some ideas, and here are some of the thoughts we came up with (we are running on fairy tale logic)
Scenario where Artemy is merfolk and Daniil is a human:
Started thinking about a merfolk society that would hold the megalodon with the same reverence as the aurochs -> Shark Artemy
I know there's folklore and stories about how consuming the flesh of merfolk can either grant immortality, extend human longevity or have extraordinary healing abilities
Perhaps a certain researcher by the name of Daniil D. Dankovsky, whose goal is defeating death, is interested in these claims and goes to visit a remote fishing village that's rumored to have merfolk sightings
Do they really exist? Is it just stories? Some people claim to have seen them, some people think THOSE people have never seen a big fish before - Everyone has their own opinions about it
Has Simon eaten merfolk flesh? Is he the reason why Daniil knows about this?
A couple different things can happen at this point
One possibility: Artemy has the ability to walk on land and turn back to merfolk in contact with water but needs to return to the water after a certain amount of time before he becomes severely ill
(Maybe he's half merfolk, half human? Haven't established the details on how this would work but there's a couple of good scenarios here)
Would integrate into town society and mingle among the land people while taking note of which people posed a threat to the merfolk
He could simply warn the other merfolk of the danger, OR find the threat and eat him (thinking about this made me laugh, but it might not be the most practical or reasonable thing to do)
So when a stranger comes into town asking about merfolk and immortality, Artemy takes a VESTED interest
Introduces himself to this researcher and tries to get a feel for his intentions, and maybe fuck with him a little
"Oh yeah, I've seen merfolk before, real ugly creatures. They've got huge bug eyes, long limbs like a spider with pincers at the end and they only speak in a series of clicks and whistles interspersed in an interpretive dance" and Daniil is furiously writing all this down
But who is this handsome guy that was so adamant on introducing himself to Daniil? His skin glistens with water, his hair is dusted with flecks of dried salt, and he seems awfully knowledgeable about the sea.....
Maybe he follows Artemy around to see what his deal is, because there's something not quite right about him....
But for some reason, right when he's tails Artemy he turns a corner and the man disappears, save for a tiny ripple in the nearest body of water....
We haven't quite banged out the specifics of their relationship but there was a particularly good mental image of Daniil catching Artemy in half shark form face deep in a creature, eating its innards with blood dripping down his face and chest and Daniil just being very normal about it
This post is STUPIDLY long, more under the cut
Another possibility:
Artemy befriends this new stranger and they get closer, exchanging knowledge about their respective expertise
Eventually, after much discussion and trust built between the two, Artemy divulges details about himself, revealing he is a merfolk
Daniil's true objective isn't revealed until after Artemy has made himself known
Betrayal of some sort ensues, and trust between them is destroyed
Daniil has a difficult decision to make
Some of the potential outcomes for these scenarios:
Daniil becomes merfolk and joins Artemy to experience its wonders (not 100 percent sure how this would work, but I enjoy the possibility)
Daniil locks away Artemy and steals him away, while the ruling families ruin everything
Artemy offers flesh from his tail/fin out of love or spite and Daniil can choose to take it and leave, or stop him and tend to his injury
Daniil and Artemy fend off the ruling families, regain trust in each other and Daniil chooses to stay to continue his research
Scenario where Daniil is merfolk and Artemy is a human (sorry this one is much shorter, the details for this one were much harder to bang out 😔):
Eel Daniil.... Eelniil..... The snake imagery was too tempting, maybe one day we'll be more creative with this (oarfish was very funny to think about)
Most likely born as a merfolk in this scenario
Motivating factors: Perhaps he wants to explore the surface and the world of man and see what discoveries are to be had outside of the water (he no longer wants to dive below into the dark, he yearns to go up towards the light)
Perhaps some greater power in the sea wants Daniil dead and his best bet was to go somewhere where they couldn't follow....
Either way, his curiosity gets the better of him and he ends up getting captured (whether intentional or not)
He gets trapped in a tank either for display or waiting to be sold to the highest bidder
Artemy's work puts him in close contact with Daniil (the nature of the work is unclear, I had trouble thinking of something fitting)
In either case, the relationship between them starts off antagonistic, Artemy goes to feed Eelniil and he bites his hand and swims out of reach with a smug smirk on his face
Eventually, Daniil starts asking a lot of questions about life on land and Artemy has some questions of his own so they strike up a form of comradery
Maybe they realize they're both trapped and they start planning a way to break out and escape....
Just some loose musings we managed to come up with, hopefully you enjoyed these thinky thoughts

what it means to be human (dsmp au)
A blob of slime emerges from the rubble after the L'Manburg war, but no one notices, far too distracted by the explosions from before.
Before it can ponder what to do, it overhears a conversation between a man with broken wings and a man with a brown jacket.
They seem familiar to the slime, though it takes quite a bit of time before he realises that he's seen them before, and that the winged man looks older than he remembers.
It quietly watches the two as they scream at each other, and it isn't until it sees the familiar glint of a diamond sword that he realises the brown jacket man wants to die.
“Why would he want to die, when he was so lucky to be born as a human?”
It continues to watch as he sees the broken-winged man crumble to the ground, hugging the man's body until it fades away into nothing, like every other time it'd seen it happen before.
Yet for some reason, it feels strange, like it didn't want that to happen again.
Again?
That's when it remembers a life it once lived, one where it had an actual name.
Charlie.
The two people seemed different from what he just saw, where instead of a father and son, they were friends.
He remembers being killed, but he doesn't feel too sad, only a little surprised when he finds himself floating a few feet away from his fading body.
He watches over them, interested in who will survive the longest amongst them before the apocalypse arrives. When he sees Wilbur sneak up behind Phil, he can just feel that something bad will happen and rushes towards them.
Phil slips through his fingers as he fumbles to catch him, and he can see the pure fear and shock in the man's eyes.
The next moment, Phil lies on the ground, body contorted from the fall with his eyes wide open.
To Charlie's surprise, Phil's spirit emerges from the body.
Just as he's about to call out to him, he notices the man's gaze and follows it, only to find Wilbur leaning over the ledge with a horrified expression.
Tears spill out of Wilbur's eyes as he keeps shaking his head, continuously muttering to himself “I didn't mean it I didn't mean it I didn't mean it-”
Charlie looks back to Phil to see what he'll do, but the man simply shrugs and smiles before he turns away to leave.
He wants to call out to the man, but Phil vanishes in a blink of an eye.
He desires to continue watching over them, but his soul is slowly and surely crumbling apart, so he uses his remaining energy to wish as hard as he can.
“I hope I can see them again, in my next life.”
Charlie gets his wish, by regaining his memories as a slime in the future, albeit a million years later, during the L’Manberg explosion.
But his memories are jumbled, and he’s lost all of his humanity to boot, so he merely treats the memories as if they were stories, though it does invoke a strong sense of curiosity to understand humans better.
So he continues to watch over the people, taking in their sorrow, happiness, anger and violence, always hidden amongst the cracks of the walls and beneath the earth.
He wants to join them, but his body isn’t strong enough so he works on his morphing abilities, practising everyday until he eventually manages to mimic a human form.
But that’s when Quackity catches him and takes him under his wing.
At first, he stays because Quackity teaches him many things, more than he’d ever learned on his own, but after a while he decides to stay with the duck altogether.
Because he’s his first friend!
However, good things don’t last long because Quackity gets killed during his visit to Dream, which panics Charlie because he promised the duck that he wouldn’t die.
Traumatised and lost, he stays in Las Nevadas even with everyone leaving, quickly turning the once flashy and dazzling Las Nevadas into a ghost town.
Wilbur visits, surprised by Charlie wearing the beanie, and has a talk with him.
“Wilbur from L’Manburg, why do humans like violence so much? Why would humans waste their time and energy to kill people when they all turn to dust eventually?”
“It’s because we’re human, Charlie. We’re too stupid, emotional and sensitive. Human emotions are ticking time bombs; Once you push them past its limit, it goes off.”
“Like the time you blew up L’Manburg!”
“…Exactly.”
“Do you miss Quackity from Las Nevadas? That’s why you’re here, right?”
“…Are you always this honest, Charlie?”
“What do you mean, Wilbur from L’Manburg?”
“Do you always ask questions this direct?”
“Yep! Humans fascinate me, so I make sure to ask questions to understand them better! Though I still can’t really understand them…”
“Huh. To answer your question, I suppose I do, though I’d never admit it in front of him.”
“Why not? Didn’t you care about Quackity?”
“…”
“If you cared about Quackity from Las Nevadas, why wouldn’t you have let him know? I cared about him, so I made sure to give him lots of hugs and ‘dap-me-ups’! Wilbur from L’Manburg, you’re a strange human.”
“…Quackity was lucky to have you by his side, Charlie.”
“…I hope that is true!”
One day, Charlie realises that he can't keep his human form much longer because his metamorphosis is starting. He thinks that it's only going to be for a short while, so he promises Wilbur that he'll only be gone for a few months at most.
But months turn to years and Wilbur bids his final goodbye before Quackity's broken grave.
“It was nice knowing you, both of you. But I guess that it was just never meant to be.”
When Charlie returns, excited and giddy from his new form, there is no one alive left to greet him.
After gathering information from other slimes, he realises that something akin to natural selection had occurred, not leaving a single human alive.
Instead, there are familiar faces in unfamiliar forms, as though they aren't entirely human at all, with seemingly no connection to the place that he grew attached to.
And just like that, he sees them again.
Phil, with obsidian wings as he soars through the sky.
Wilbur, with twinkling laughter as he breezes through walls.
“Perhaps in this lifetime, they will be happy.”

So I've had a couple of AU ideas since I've gotten back into the fandom and I'm kinda curious on what people think about them.
Monster AU - Snake and Shifter
In which Ran is only half human and Shinichi is only partially inhuman. Shinichi is descended from a line of shapeshifters who have mixed with humans so long the shifting is more or less danger driven, so good deaging was more his subconscious trying to protect him than the actual poison, meaning AI also has something like this going on - what if all the Blacks are shapeshifters to some degree? Meanwhile, Ran's mother was a Naga while Mouri is a human. Not much going on here but Ran probably has a stronger sense of smell than a human but weaker than a Naga and eventually, tho it may take a bit, realizes that Conan and Shinichi have similar scents. If the drug/deaging changed his scent then maybe she doesn't notice until after he manages to temporarily return as Shinichi, and his smell is similar to Conan's. She joins in on trying to help him re-age or something. They also aren't the only creeches but I dunno what the others would be.
TLDR, Shinichi and Ai have shapeshifter DNA and Ran is half Naga, she realizes Conan and Shinichi are the dang person because of scent and starts helping him.
Immortal AU - Don't trust magic
This one is both the least different and the most, in a manner of speaking. Shinichi, in an attempt to permanently reage himself, manages to succeed far longer than any previous attempts, and returns to Ran to try and salvage their relationship. Something happens and there's a backfire of sorts, not only reverting Shinichi back to Conan in front of Ran but unknowingly affecting her as well. It's not immediately obvious but, within a few years, it's noticed that doesn't really seem to be aging. Eventually, Shinichi returns to his age naturally or something, and realizes that Ran still hasn't gotten any older, when she should look at least ten years older, and soon he stops aging as well - they're stuck at the age Shinichi was trying to return to. They probably end up trying to reverse the situation, not knowing what would happen if they do, but if they fail at least they have each other. Speaking of which, I want to give them a supernatural ability thqt only works when they're holding hands or something but that might be too much.
TLDR, Shinichi tries magic or something to reage but indeed him and Ran are immortally stuck at the Shinichi's actual age and they're probably trying to find a counter spell.
Shifter AU - Cat to Kitten
Shinichi has always been able to turn into a cat, but it's something he hid from even Ran. But when he gets deaged, he becomes stuck in his cat form. Ran eventually finds him and takes care of him, naming him Conan after Shinichi's favorite author. Eventually he regains a partially human form, and Ran helps him hide the ears and tail. From here the story continues relatively the same, but with two secrets on the line. Also, beach episodes but instead of staring at Ran or something he's chasing birds and trying to avoid the water.
TLDR, Shinichi can turn into a cat and got forced into the form of a kitten, eventually the normal events of the show happen but with attempts to hide his inhuman features included.
Time AU - Physical Flashbacks
Ran is the reincarnation of a goddess or demigoddess of time, but she can't control her abilities. Mostly she gets visions, but sometimes she'll end up a few hours or so in the past in a bit of a time loop until she figures out why. This has allowed her to save Conan several times, but most of he times saving him were merely her own mortal skills. Eventually this fails. She's found out the truth, but Shinichi is dying, and she keeps trying to change things, and it's just not working. Somehow, the next time she goes back, she ends up at the beginning, after Shinichi has already been shrunk though, and has to figure out what to do in the past to prevent that death from ever happening, while also trying to decide if she should tell Conan she knows he's Shinichi.
TLDR, Ran is a reincarnation of some divinity tied to time but she can't control her abilities, she ends up in the past when Conan first showed up after Shinichi died and is now trying to prevent that death

good morning have some more fun facts about the ‘Zoroark possessed Ingo gets yeeted to Hisui in his true form and accidentally becomes the Pearl Clan’s new Noble Pokemon’ variation of the zoroark possession AU:
Akari was supposed to be Arceus’ chosen hero in this AU, but then she lost her memories and her Arc Phone. Oops. Arceus is going to have to find a backup plan.
Good news! He’s found one. Two, actually! Two humans managed to reach his realm. They are searching for their missing brother. This is very convenient! Arceus knows where their missing brother is- he’s in Hisui! This works out! He tells them that he can give them the chance to reunite with Ingo, so long as they fulfill his request to seek out all Pokemon in Hisui (and stop Volo’s doomsday plot while they’re at it, but he doesn’t tell them that part.)
Elesa and Emmet get yeeted to Hisui without any of their Pokemon. That was one of the conditions. They do bring Ingo’s body along, however. They’re found by Laventon and taken into Jubilife Village where they both join the Survey Corps under the condition that one of them remains in the village at all times to care for Ingo.
Kamado does not protest this. He is suspicious of them, but he’s still sympathetic because of Ingo’s condition.
Elesa’s starter is a Shinx and Emmet’s is an Eevee that he later evolves into a Jolteon. They both catch a full team of six while in Hisui, with Elesa still leaning strongly towards electric types. None of their Pokemon are dark types, and none of them know dark type moves. They hope that Ingo will take this as a sign of non-aggression towards him.
Emmet catches a Chansey and leaves it at home with Ingo’s body to help whoever is on shift that day look after it. It is very surprised when months later, her patient abruptly regains awareness and starts smelling much more strongly of a Zoroark than he did before, but the two work things out between them. She eventually evolves into a Blissey and becomes part of Ingo’s Hisuian team.
Once he retakes his human body, Ingo throws himself into helping Emmet and Elesa finish their quest of seeking out all Pokemon. He never catches a full team of six, so he just has Gliscor, Machamp, and Blissey throughout his entire time in Hisui.
The showdown with Volo ends up being a multi-battle with Ingo fighting alongside Emmet. It’s nice to have this back.
Emmet, Elesa, and Ingo all discover together that Ingo can still use the moves he learned while he was a full Zoroark in his human body. It’s completely by accident. Since one of those moves was Extrasensory, Ingo accidentally gave himself telekinetic powers. Oops.
(Ingo absolutely abuses them in private.)

So~ may I introduce you all to my newest au (not to be confused with my gods au):
Fallen Deities AU
Here are, as per usual, edgejeanist’s designs first!!! (I wanted to colour it but got too excited, so you shall get coloured versions at some point soon)
((their divine form designs are actually recycled from a couple of old scrapped aus/og concept designs))
I shall explain more (with a couple more designs) under the cut:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are their human forms -> they are immortal, but their bodies are mortal with intense healing abilities. (So they can be killed, but will only be dead for a little while before coming back to life)
[my eraser kept smudging Shinya and i got really fed up with it, and also my lighting was crap so apologies for the image quality]
The main plot takes place in modern times, and kinda has semi-kinda-apocalyptic stuff. but anyway.
So. The characters are/were deities. Residing in their little godly realm, living in their separate domains that all were situated together on this giant world/magic platform thing called "The Great Pedestal". This world pedestal thing is made up physically of the belief of the humans, their faith in them as gods, and their trust and harmony with each other.
And each deity's domain is created from the belief of their followers, and contribute as part of The Pedestal.
One day, the god of life -haha time for eclair to drag afo back into this- turned his back on the others and left for humanity. He wanted to be amongst them, his lust for power, control and curiosity was too strong.
This caused a massive hole (physically and non-physically) in the pedestal and the other gods, as he was y'know- quite damn important.
(little do they know, he starts turning humans against them to see what it would do, encouraging them to move on from the gods, slowly draining their belief in each of them)
(also kinda bc he wanted to be the only one they "needed" as he was the giver of life. That's all they need to live.)
Tsunagu is the god of Fate.
Shinya is the god of Destiny (or- well, choices, giving paths for people to choose to "create their destiny")
(they are married, but have a rival-like dynamic)
But.
On came The Fall of the Deities.
Some became untrusting of others, causing cracks to from in the pedestal. Others were just doing all they could to keep everything working and alive.
Then parts of each domain started to wither away and crumble, becoming unsteady, as the humans slowly moved on.
And that's where they start to fall.
One by one, the deities were claimed by their domains and the open void between their realm and the humans. They "fell" (this means they die)
The loss of belief in them, starts with parts of their place crumbling away, and then their own body. And then they die in a very certain way specific to them.
This happened and eventually there were only two left.
Can you guess who?~~~
Of course, it's Fate and Destiny, these two!
And they both held onto each other until the last moments...but.
Tsunagu was the only god that fell but didn't Fall. (he didn't die)
The souls of the fallen deities get reincarnated into human beings. They don't remember who they are, or their powers.
Until they go through an "Awakening".
This "Awakening" is actually -> them dying in the same/similar way that they Fell.
They survive this death, and start regaining memories. Eventually, once they know who they are, they can start to tap into their powers again and also regain their Divine Form (the first designs. They are huge and human-like-with-non-human-features-depending-on-humans-depiction-of-them)
Shinya and Tsunagu make it their goal over the thousands of years, to find the fallen deities, reunite, rebuild, and hunt down Life.
And that, they do.
And they make it to the modern time, where humans are said to be going missing quite often.
(whats happening is they're being turned into. like. lost soul zombie being creature demon things. That only the immortals can see.)
I'll leave that at that for now but-
Deities -> their true godlike selves, with their forms and duties and stuff.
Immortals -> them in their mortal human shells, living their lives more freely without sworn duties.
(to kinda explain why I say "are/were" deities ig)
Anyway, Shinya and Tsu reunite after the Fall, and spend the years just. Messing around and being free -as well as finding the others- and they kill each other sometimes in different ways for fun. (sparring but to the max)
<333
I am. Very worn out from writing all that, but I've been having the biggest brainrot for this au- so please ask me about it if you are curious /lh

Thoughts on Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead
Just my raw thoughts, not a review or anything
At this point I would say I'm used to a specific type of zombie media, it usually is one of 3 things: deep studies into human behavior and relationships with the zombies as basically background noise, exploitation and comedy with zombies as a thing to parody or the classic horror stuff with some gore to make it scary and yet here we have something new, something that isn't just mixing and matching some aspect of the 3 but rather thinking of something different and asking the question, can we use zombies to tell a story about happiness and hope? Zom 100 is a story about Tendo Akira, a recent worker struggling to remain conscious while working conditions crush all the hopes, dreams and even willpower he has to offer in exchange for a pitiful life of nothing. Low salaries, excessive working hours plus extra hours and a toxic workspace beat down his spirit into submission, a struggle all too familiar to most young workers for the past decade… and that is when the zombie apocalypse starts, Akira wanting to rethink his life choices and now live free to do whatever he wants instead of what society expects of him thus creating the eponymous bucket list of the dead which slowly increases as our protagonist recuperates more and more of his past self in a sort of healing process to regain his individuality and identity while also introducing a few other characters to the journey that in different ways have committed the same mistake and will embark with Akira in this quest to find happiness and fulfillment. One of the most interesting parts of Zom 100 is the way the zombie metaphor morphs around the issues facing the main cast like for example while it early on represents the way society beats you down into just another worker hence Akira leaving his work and the zombie apocalypse being one in the same, then changing into a metaphor for isolation and the lost of culture when Akira goes back to his hometown being an extremely clear example of said morphing and creating newer ways to use the zombie concept while still telling the same story via the ever popular concept of a bucket list. Zom 100 subverted what I expected and gave me a show that shines with joy and optimism in a genre where either cheese or action dominate yet it still was a fun watch that didn't ever get tedious or overstay its welcome. An anime that I hope eventually returns despite all its production issues if not only to listen to whatever they'll try to come up with to top the opening "Dystopian Song of the Dead" which while taking most of the show to be completed and only showing in full for 3 episodes was one of the most fun anime OPs in forever and a contender for the best of 2023 along with SPECIALZ, Idol, bloom and innocent arrogance.
No show is perfect but they don't have to be, writing is about expressing your ideas through the form of art most able to give people a chance at understanding your mind and desires, I truly hope Haro Aso keeps improving and can finish this bucket list the same way he writes his characters.

33 EPILOGUE II: A GENTLE REMINDER
DUSK IN THE BRIGHTEST | chapter directory
Tumblr media
erwin smith/fem!reader, erwin smith/you, no y/n | slow burn, angst, hurt/comfort, fluff & smut, mutual pining, canon AU, college/univ AU, professor erwin smith, commander erwin smith, non-linear narrative, manga spoilers
Trigger warning: canon-typical violence, graphic description, explicit sexual content, suicidal thoughts, mental health issues, trauma, implied/referenced sexual harassment, implied/referenced abuse, attempted murder, overdosing
Plot: It was always the nightmares, really. Entrapped with walls, human-eating giants, fighting through metal strings and swords – utterly violent, dreary, recurrent. But behind the blurry faces was a man with menacing blue eyes and vivid features; eventually appearing before you as your new reputable professor, Erwin Smith. Since then, the disaster had slipped beyond your subconscious. AO3
Tumblr media
so... you clicked on here with awareness that this chapter will be explicit, yeah? in case you got it wrong, then here's the SFW version of this chapter, please.
Tumblr media
Here you are again.
After letting Historia accompany you with college errands to get back at things slowly, you dropped by Erwin's place to nap. You reached his home by late afternoon and he's expected to be home before evening so you quickly settled yourself on his bed. You thought you'd have a peaceful one because of his scent glued on the mattress and pillows but you woke up frozen and sweaty.
And the ceiling is broken and a titan's head is plugged tightly into the hole.
Of course, your man will always be sharp. You felt him sit on the bed and glide his hands on your face to soften the curl in your eyebrows, gently whispering sweet nothings to you all the while encouraging you to move a muscle.
When you could finally speak you said, "There's something at the ceiling."
"Okay, tell me what it is."
"A titan's head with its mouth open. It's about to completely break the wall and eat me."
He hovered his head on top of you so your eyes would be fixed on him instead of the ceiling, "And what are you thinking right now?"
You finally moved a finger, "That if this titan gets my head then I'm good as gone. I won't exist everywhere now."
"I told you, you will not cease to exist." He gently said.
Yeah, it's pretty much impossible but his words are more than enough for you. That's why you have to get back from it.
A lump formed up in your throat. You gulped it down then you slowly regained control of your muscles. Erwin soothed you afterward.
The circumstances regarding your existence rattled you since the night you voiced it out to him. Never mind the completely busy yet tranquil days, this setback would have you depressed for weeks if not addressed immediately.
And so you feel like you're in dire need of comfort. He'd give it to you, he would give everything to you. That's why you reached up to him for a kiss, wrapped your arms around his neck, and arched your back. It went for a while and when he saw how lidded your eyes are, he knew what this night would be about.
"Can we do it?" You muttered gently. You have to have him near you as much as you can. To feel that you're not close to disappearing just yet. That he could touch you as a completely tangible being and not a soul fluttering into mere dust.
"As much as you want." He held on to your waist and hummed. After a last chaste peck on your lips, he proceeded to nuzzle his lips on your neck. He showered his attention at the sensitive spot on the side of your neck, just a little bit below your ears, and you felt him smile upon hearing your sighs because of his nibbles. "Would you like to take the lead?" He whispered.
"You're fooling around. You always end up throwing me down the bed after a while."
"But I love seeing you try." He chuckled.
And so he let you throw him on the bed and reverse the position. He's smiling a bit too sweet but the amusement and teasing laced his features just as much. Every single time you attempt to be ahead of him. It gets quite too endearing.
"I'll be on top now. Tell me if you want to stop."
Erwin let out a laugh then rested a forearm on top of his eyes. With the look on your face, he's certain you'll falter a moment from now. He doesn't even have to switch you on his own. "Continue."
"You don't want to stop?" You inquired with a smile.
Erwin slightly moved his arm so he could see you in one eye, "You seemed to be enjoying this a lot."
"I am. I'm not ceasing to exist right now. We could have each other and I get to feel it." You murmured and hovered until your faces were centimeters away.
"You are." He rested a palm on your cheek. "Feel how warm my hand is?"
"I do." You lightly turned to kiss his palm and landed a kiss on the bridge of his nose as well in exchange. "You can feel it too, right?"
"I do."
"Have you seen it? How we took each other that night? Have you felt it too?"
He heaved a sneering chuckle then. "Tell me more."
"I was on top of you, helped you a lot, let you do me as many times as you can, whispered apologies as you can't bring yourself to stop. Wasn't that included in your dream?"
"I almost committed homicide upon waking up."
"Why? Our dreams about that world include feeling whatever we see."
"And when I tell you I still want to touch you as soon as I wake up the next morning only to be reminded that you're actually an unmovable heap in life support, would you understand how frustrating that was?"
"But I'm here now."
He heaved a sigh upon hearing that and hands slowly glided all over your back. It was then both of you realized that he still has to be reminded of it from time to time as well. It's not only you who's struggling about it. It's not only you who gets vulnerable thinking about it especially when fragments of that day resurface in your minds.
"You're here." He whispered. You peppered his face with kisses to help him.
"Let's do it again. I feel like it's been a hundred years since then." You closed the proximity by resting your forehead with this, swirling your hips so you could feel him below you further. Both of you hummed. "Can I do it again, Commander?"
He grabbed your head for another kiss again, way deeper this time. He tried to be patient with you. He really did. Your adjustment after what happened was his utmost priority all this time.
He slightly pushed your head up to pause the kiss then you immediately whined. "Why are you always pausing it on the good part?"
"I'm curious about what you have in mind. Come on, lovely thing. Tell me."
Little did he know, the kiss made you mushy already — no rational thoughts but have him — feel him again and again. "I'll lock you here so you won't leave. We're doing this endlessly."
"That so?" He smoothly slid his hands to your waist and thrust his hips forward. Blood rushed down in between your legs. Pathetic sighs followed suit. "How would you do that when you're already this sensitive? We haven't even started yet."
"Don't underestimate me," You scoffed and tried to shoot your lidded eyes open to assert. "I will make you a whimpering mess again, Erwin Smith." Despite the convicted tone, you let it out rather weakly. You want to have him right this second and that desperation is making you want to beg.
It almost made Erwin laugh. Still, he could cater to your desire to take charge as much as you want right now; despite immediate failure, until you finally admit defeat. "Show me then. My pretty soldier doesn't waver and surely knows what she's doing." He cupped your face, "Does having me come inside you included in the whimpering mess you want me to be?" That indeed shot your eyes open and Erwin feigned a surprise, "And now you're embarrassed about it? Really?"
Well, you really are embarrassed by that. "To be fair, I did that because—" You pondered. You also don't have a rational reason why.
"Because?" His thumb playfully circled your cheeks.
"It feels really good that I don't want it out?"
"So are you going to be that reckless again?" He doesn't mind. Not at all. As he continuously says, you could have everything you want in this world and he'll see to it that it's done.
"Can I?"
"You told your brother you don't plan to have children."
"Yeah. The only kid I'm willing to take care of is him."
Okay, he gets it now. He laughed. He thought you were joking when you said it just feels good. "Well then, that'd work here after all. Take the lead."
And that's what you're concerned about after the heated kiss. You want to be under him again. Being on top would take lots of pressure and energy because you're not used to it yet. Now you're starting to admire him for being so confident about it. He sensed your reluctance so he frowned as if he didn’t see it coming at all. "So are you going to be like this again? Riling me up only to hesitate in between?"
You gave him a pleading look in hopes that he'd let you off again this time. It's not that you can't take the lead. He hadn't touched you for so long and even if the realization is quite late, the yearning for him made you weak and submissive. "I'm willing to learn, okay! I just don't want to tire myself out. We have all night, you know."
"Oh?" He seems genuinely surprised this time. "So this won't be settled in one round?"
You're about to answer yes, but then Erwin has the stamina enough to make you unconscious. Of course, you want to relish it and that's by not blacking out early. You have to clarify that.
"You're hesitating again." Erwin mused. "Do you think I have lots of patience for this?"
"Can you take me easy for the first round?"
That's the cue that you finally gave up then. Erwin finally shifted so he'd be the one on top. He pinned you with both of his hands again. "You're being too bad on me right now. Don't you think you should've asked me this earlier instead?"
"Sorry. You look so good when teased." You shot him a grin. "And I missed you a lot."
He looked at you for a while then gave you a peck. "So are you done with the teasing now?" You nodded. He landed a chaste kiss again. "Sure?" You nodded again, the grin did not falter. He kissed you again. "I don't think you'll be grinning like that as we go further, though."
And you'd love that. "I'll take it like a good girl."
"Of course, you would." He muttered as he slowly trailed his fingers to your chest. "Not like you have any other choice." He released your hands for a while so you could unclasp your bra.
He pinned your hands again, though, so you tried to grasp a hand out of it. You have a habit of pressing his head on you and he knows it so he trapped it tighter instead. Without a word, he darted his tongue on your bare chest. Right, this man won't let you off this time. You chuckled in defeat and let him play around the sensitive skin for a while. He gave both of them the wanted attention but when you got too impatient, you tried wiggling out with a whine again. He just stifled a laugh though. He wouldn't grant you that so easily.
Erwin went lower to land wet kisses from your chest down but as soon as he reached your abdomen, he stopped and got back up again. You almost asked him why but the mischievous glint in his eyes answered your question; he will be making you desperate and you won't be able to do anything about it. As if it's his way of teaching you a lesson to go by your word instead of leaving him with hesitance, that you're about to be put in your place for assuming you could get away with all the things you're doing to him.
He removed his hand from pinning you but even before you could act on it freely he sternly said, "Don't you dare move it." Then gave you a hard look. You quickly followed with a smile. "Eyes on me." It felt like flipping then. You're never getting over this tone even if he would only dare to use it during these moments. God, this man's too soft on you.
He slowly removed the garments left in him — with his shirt first, boxers, then underwear. With his body laid bare before you, your smile faltered and desperation took over. He held back a mock; no need to fret, he had all the night to tease you. Upon cupping your cheeks again, he felt the heat on your face. "We haven't even started yet." And pointed out nonchalantly. You frowned and attempted to stray from his orders until he clicked his tongue. "You know better than moving that, dear."
You want to pull his hair out and have him nuzzle your neck for hours. "I learned my lesson now."
"I don't think you do." His fingers slid on your clothed core then stroked it too weakly, deliberately. "You said you'll take it like a good girl."
"Yeah, I did."
He smiled, satisfied that you understood it somehow, then stroked a little bit harder. It wasn't enough though and he knew it. When he felt the forming wetness on your underwear, he only chuckled but didn't do anything about it. He was rather quick to notice your hand twitching instead. Without stopping his fingers on your core, he used his spare hands to pin you again and then latched his mouth on your chest to suck again.
"Please."
"Got the grin gone too fast? I expected more from you."
"You win." You admitted. You don't even feel bad for the defeat. You can get back at him next time when you're not so desperate anymore. "You win— please, do me now, please?"
"That won't do." He stopped and sat on his knees. His face was flat and lacking mercy. "Touch yourself."
"What?"
"I don't remember stuttering, love." He said with the same tone.
At least he allowed me to move my hands now.
You quickly put a hand inside your underwear but then Erwin sneered, almost apologetic for not making his instructions clear. He got your hand out and guided two of your fingers on top of your underwear instead. He doesn't need to speak and just expected you to follow through. As much as you're frustrated, disobeying means having this slower, much more tormenting.
Also, deep down, you completely love what he's making you do. You told him you love the tease? He'll see to it that you'd get it.
You rubbed two fingers on your clothed core then your spare hand played on your breast. Luckily, he let you do that much. He looked amused despite the lack of a smile. Only when your face got needier that he started to smirk. In hopes to rile him up further, you intentionally showed your ragged sighs and moans with a plea in your eyes.
After a while, he finally took pity so he instructed, "Fingers in."
You quickly do so then, intentionally set the garment aside so he'd see how you'd touch yourself very well. The wetness made him tick his eyebrows up even though his face stayed the same. Two fingers easily slipped inside and it went on until you asked him to work on you again. He shook his head with a smile as he finally realized your moans are already genuine and uncontrollable this time. The way he looks at you just shows how aware he is of his success.
"Erwin," You breathed out. "Please fill me up–" You shot his erection with a begging look again. "Fill me up now."
His smile is laced with nothing but endearment now. "Third finger in."
The sight makes your head fuzzy. He looks so good flashing that sweet look for you, and so you follow despite the frustration. To make up for it somehow, you just had it the way Erwin does — spreading yourself open, curling up inside, scissoring around, pulling it out, and smashing it back in.
He seemed more impressed and he hummed to encourage you more. Just more, you thought. He'll give in, he's about to give in, you just need to be the good lady that you are for him. You pulled your fingers out, clenched on nothing so he'd see, then slammed it back with a moan. Your wetness dripped then and Erwin seemed to enjoy the sight that he started palming himself up.
More.
Just take more.
When the clenching got frequent and your voice tipped louder, he finally acquiesced to your needs. Erwin swatted your hand away to replace it with his own, silenced your moans with his mouth and tongue darted in. You hummed in delight and wrapped an arm around his neck while your other hand moved his spare one to your chest. He let you do so and played around your tit as you asked, very much returning the gesture of being so good for him.
It felt so much better with his fingers too. He completely knew how to move it the way it'd pleasure you the most. He curled it up inside, let it out and rubbed your clit, pumped inside again then did it over and over until he felt you clenching on him. Your skin prickled with pleasure, and heat spread your skin. But just when you were about to let it all out, he quickly pulled his fingers away along with his mouth.
You let out a confused huff. "Why?" Tears almost formed in your eyes.
"Oh, love." He chuckled and petted your head. "I wouldn't get you so riled up only to come without me inside." He then hiked your legs up to remove your underwear and when it was done, he flipped you over the bed. You almost whimpered and he kissed your back in a laugh. "On your knees."
So you did and shoved your face down the pillows. He stroked himself up and down your wetness."You've been good for me like I asked you to, haven't you?"
"I do," You plead under him. "I'll be good for you. Please."
"You always do. Always the best for me." He assured and slowly pushed inside. Finally, he let a grunt out. He's swallowed by your warmth and the way you intentionally clenched inside despite your little pain almost made him delirious as if you're not going to have him out of you again. "Do you need time?" He asked despite the urge to just delve right in without mercy. He also adjusted a bit to take you better and it pretty much did the job of unleashing the pleasure out of your pain.
"You can move." Languid, sensual, considerate as usual. When you pushed your hips in tandem with his thrusts, he went faster. Slowly but surely, your voice tipped to its crescendo and you ensured very well that your clit would still be given the much-needed attention. "S-so good, 's too good. Please don't stop. Please–"
"You look so good bent over me like this. How could I stop?" He followed the praise with a hard thrust. "Look at that, taking me so gorgeously well." He added with a whisper and a hint of a chuckle.
If you don't know him well you'd think that he's completely unperturbed by this. He sounds so composed as if this doesn't affect him as much as you do. But he's completely flushed, his grip on your hips is tight, his breathing is subtle but unsteady as if he is still holding back, and the way he kisses your back and nibbles on every skin he could reach — oh, the love and adoration he keeps on showering you. You don't want this to end.
Then his bucks became much more relentless, his husks more evident. You tried to utter something, perhaps another series of begging. Shockwaves blurred your vision as the heat pooled on your back. You're falling apart and he knows it too well by the way you're clenching much harder.
But then he stopped. He lied. He said he wouldn't.
No, why would he?
You looked at him from behind, face laced in confusion again. You almost thought something went wrong but then he only looked as riled up as you are. He just begrudgingly halted. "But why?"
He composed himself with a sigh, flipped you on your back again, and lined himself up. "Live with me." He thrust without warning and so you gasped. "Live with me and let's start finding that damned tree together." He repeated with another thrust then stopped himself with a frustrated sigh.
There, you finally understood what he was on and so you stopped in your tracks. Fear laced your face yet again but he looked at you knowingly, resolutely. He knew you'd have this reaction again. That's why he waited — put you over the edge together with him before bringing it up again. You need to be well aware that you're one, he could feel you as you could feel him because you exist, and that wouldn't change anytime soon. "Live with me and let's find it." Not even the predicament of your existence would change it.
"I—" You were cut off when he thrust again.
"Live and find it with me." He husked. "There's no way this would be our last one."
You then realized that he wasn't asking for your approval. He is making you know. That's a statement and he wouldn't have it the other way. He can't see you that horrified again. You do not deserve to fear after doing something so selflessly for them. Both of you will have each other beyond this — drawn, bound together, again and again and again.
"I will." You headily reached for his face to kiss him but he didn't lower his head yet. He just looked at you lidded, waiting for more.
"Tell me properly." He said, sternly.
"I'll live and find it." You drawled, tears verged on your eyes. It's not even about the delayed pleasure anymore; it's just the realization that you wouldn't feel alone again — that the people living here in this space would never make you feel alone again like a speck of dust or an empty shell. "I'll live with you and find it."
Satisfied, he finally lowered his head for a kiss. He chased for the high he delayed you, assured you with whispers that you'll get it this time, that his pretty girl would get everything he could ever give. You wrapped your legs around him tightly with drawn-out whimpers. After you were well aware that he wouldn't dare stop anymore, he laughed at your noises and called your name. "You told me I'll be the one whimpering here." As if he's not on the precipice of doing so. "You sure got the guts, huh?"
"Sorry, 'm sorry." You murmured with eyes shut tight in pleasure and hastily peppered him with kisses. Not like you're going to stop teasing him after this.
"You're always full of pride until I make you a babbling mess. Does it feel that good? Doing it this way?" He punctuated the remark with a pounce, then moved your legs up a bit so he could be deeper. Oh, how quick his demeanor could change. Moments ago he's professing an oath to you then now he's just jeering menacingly.
"It is— oh god— it is." You shuddered but you can't let him just jeer at you. You started the tease and so you'll win. "But you're not any different— no, not at all!"
Well, he is way more different. He's more down bad for you. He would get on his knees if you asked him to. He loves you more than everything, even more than himself. Heck, he doesn't even love himself. "Expound."
"I didn't even hear you say you love me. I'm the only one who— who did!" You scoffed, attempted to open your eyes so you could establish your sulking. "—that night! You're so, so, full of pride, you pathetic commander."
Oh no.
Erwin almost laughed, of course with a hint of guilt. The commander was so out of it that night that he couldn't even talk, was too cowardly, and even had the guts to be thankful because his utterances of affection were mostly incoherent burbles. He doesn't deserve you at all. He cupped your cheeks, kissed you sweetly, and whispered. "It might not be too obvious and I might be flooded with inadequacies but— fuck wait, oh god. Why are you clenching so hard?" You heaved a weak but sly chuckle. Nonetheless, he sighed to compose himself. "—but I love you more than anything else."
"'s too obvious though. Heh." You shot him a wry grin. Yeah, Erwin knows that you're pretty much messing around because he's been teasing you a lot. That's what he deserves.
"Good. I have a lifetime to show it to you after all." You still had the teasing grin plastered. He responded with a look of adoration. "And find more lifetimes because you will not disappear. I'll ruin the world for you. Will have you again and again." You stopped grinning then, only sheer surprise laced your features. He flipped your mockeries again and now you're about to cry.
Erwin's not in the mood to tease around anymore, though. He closed his eyes and nuzzled his lips on your nose. "Hmm, you're clenching harder on me now, baby. Are you close?" He breathed out. The spasm and contracting of your walls don't feel intentional anymore.
You are. His pace is languid now and with warm sighs. His words are all drawn out and laced with affection, reverence even. Let it out. I got you. I'm a bad man but you'll have the best things in this world— will love you more this time, make it up to you.
That's pretty much it for you. You came with a loud sob, writhed at his mercy. And because you very much asked to have him inside you, you didn't untighten, not at all. You rather gave him a hard time pulling out. You tried to speak amidst shaky breaths, "I'll lock you down here, Erwin. We're staying in this bed forever."
He hummed in concurrence, continuously whispering faint yes in between. Erwin finally let the heated pool on his back, held onto your legs harder, and kept you from moving as he was about to empty himself inside. "And you'll take me well as I come, won't you?" He breathed out.
"Y-yes—would love to!"
With your walls continuously fluttering around him, tension snapped inside Erwin. He stuffed you full of his cum with a breathy grunt. It felt so good, so warm, you're so delightfully filled. You wrapped your legs around him so it'd stay there.
Indeed, he completely ensured that his seed would stay deep inside as you wish. Your legs felt quite jelly, completely overstimulated. You attempted to shake your legs away but he had held them down firmly. He's going to give you what you want and he'll make sure you stay in his confines as he does. "Own your words and take all of them. Just a little bit more. Almost done."
You're dumbed to answer again and your mouth was gaped open. He's tempted to take pride in it with a chuckle but your comfort is his utmost priority. "You okay?" You let out a tiny whimper as soon as he got himself out of you. "Answer me."
"I-I am."
"Would you like to clean it up?"
Of course, you would. That's when you forced your fluttering eyes to open. He almost clicked a vicious grin. You leaned up a bit as he ushered himself to you. With your hand wrapped around him, you took your mixed essence for your own. Erwin let you do so with a sigh, even helped you through it by slowly bobbing your head forward and backward. You hummed pleasingly.
When it's all cleaned up, you let yourself drop on the bed again, completely spent. He hummed in satisfaction, hovered on top again to pet your head, kissed it, and stayed like that for a while. "Sorry. Seems like I didn't take you too easy for the first one." Then he glided his fingers on the sides of your mouth to clean the excess.
But you're about to drift into sleep. "The apology's too late now, you bastard." Your head's floating.
"Oh, I know." He wryly replied then played circles on your cheeks. "But that doesn't mean we're done. You said it won't be settled with this, right?" He tapped repeatedly until you opened your eyes again.
"You're being bad on me right now."
"You're not the one to talk. And I'm just doing what you asked me to, serve my lady like the sweet girl that she is."
"Do you still have the energy to—" What you saw behind the blurry vision was his tranquil yet unrelenting look. He's not exhausted at all. "Yeah, right. Why would I even bother asking that?" You cut the question yourself.
He massaged your limbs so they wouldn't be too sore throughout the night. He missed you a lot and both of you have to deal with it, take all of him until he's spent and dried up. "Are you having a hard time keeping up?"
"No way. Told you we'll do this endlessly."
"I went so hard on you that night." He whispered in lament upon remembering his dream, the one you pertained to earlier.
"Not hard enough, young man."
"Oh? You want me harder?"
"You're too soft on me."
"Of course, I would. You're so sweet to me, can't hurt you like that." Then landed kisses on your cheeks and down your ears. "And we have all the time for it. I'll love you gently for now, as I should've done so before."
"You asked a very important question in between, though. Who in the right mind would do that?"
"Your man was never in his right mind to begin with. Let's start with that."
"Yeah," You opened your eyes properly this time. You looked at him sadly. "No one in their right mind would be willing to damn a world with further glitches because of someone like me."
"You're not just someone for me." He stopped massaging your limbs and held on to your hand again. "Unlucky for this world because I got aware of its circumstances and the fact that they're threatening you away from me." He kissed your knuckles. "In one of the worlds you managed to see somehow, were you able to encounter a version of this where you didn't exist at all?" The question struck you like a knife. Memories flooded over with so many terrible scenes. You bit your lower lip up and you could almost feel your eyes swell again. "Seems like it wasn't a good one, then." He added upon examining you.
"You—" You breathed out. "You didn't last long with those nightmares."
He's not surprised. After all, nothing would save him from that other than something that's completely the same as him, that something being you. He went to you to be judged and that's all he had wished for. That judgment would be more than enough for him to keep living, whether or not you'd decide to go to him like this again. "How about the others?"
"Isabel's confliction towards her eccentricities estranged her relationship with her siblings. Don't know how long but she ended up not so cheerful anymore." You pondered. "I really didn't expect that."
"And?"
"Historia had a hard time coming to terms with herself easily." You sighed. "She let an important person slip away because of it."
"Then?"
"Levi…" You swallowed. "Was so guilty about everything."
It was silent for a while as if he needed time to process what you saw as well. "Your brother?" He said after a while.
"I wasn't able to see him and know." and you're not even looking at him anymore. You're just staring blankly somewhere.
"I see." He muttered. "So do you realize it now?"
Of course. "But still, it's hard to–"
"I'm not asking about anything else. Do you realize it now?"
"I do." You muttered weakly.
He hummed then turned your face to him. He landed a chaste peck on the bridge of your nose. "That's a good start, then. You have to willingly come to me so you could help me find it, after all."
"But how…" You paused. The lack of certainty numbs your throat. "I don't know how we're supposed to do that. What if we end up not finding anything and we just–" have to come to terms with the hope we failed to embody?
"I wouldn't lie and tell you it's pointless to worry about. But see, when the wall fell I also have no idea how we're supposed to find anything relevant to take it back." Oh, right. How could you forget that? He was with you all those times. "But unlike that moment, I'm way more confident on this one because I already know what to find and where to start. I wasn't able to get this much until the fifth year in my post back there."
You smiled poignantly then. You went through lots of uncertainties as it is. What is there to fear? You just have to firm up and face it again. Finally, the reluctance subsided, enough for you to joke around. "It's unfair, though. I did something so huge! If we managed to find something to alter my circumstances, that wouldn't be fair for everyone!"
He shot you a deadpan look, "And you, out of all people, expect me to feel bad about it?"
"That's rude of you. Why are you like that?"
"What do you want me to do about that, then? Cry? Feign selflessness?" He bantered. "You told me I have to be honest now. I would still kill for you."
Indeed, this world's pretty much damned now. "I shouldn't have bothered asking that."
"How's the thing about your brother right now?"
"I feel so much better working on it but it's quite challenging." You tiredly sighed. "I need to find a stable income myself and more family stuff so I can qualify."
"Aw, is that so?" God, this man. He sounds like he's about to mock you again. Every single time this is being brought up and even if you don't know why, he keeps on teasing and musing around "Oooh, told him you don't want to become a mother? Sucks for you, you need to be one on paper."
"The idea I have in mind might not be so bad, then."
"Give your lowly subordinate a chance to hear an idea as great as that." You deadpanned.
"You're not my subordinate. You're way above me." You tried to retort but he cut you off. "But really? You want to hear about it?"
You curled your eyebrows and when you flashed him a glare you realized the idea in question might be something he just thought to mess around. He's trying to hide a smile. "You don't sound great, mister."
"Yeah, it would never sound great coming from someone like me."
"Just tell me. Oh god." He cupped your face and fixed it, wiping up some sweat and strands glued on it. He didn't speak after. "I'm getting quite anxious now, Erwin."
"Marry me." He casually let out. You gaped your mouth open. You hadn't felt this deep of a shock again in a while. He observed your reactions for a while and then added. "Completely under your conditions, though. It could be purely intended for your brother alone. I also figured you might not want to partake in a commitment as big as that since we got together just recently and—"
"Just recently?" You huffed loudly and realized your inquiry might be quite misplaced as of the moment but still— "We literally just talked about extending my stay beyond this lifetime."
"So do you agree or—"
"You didn't let that out as a question, Erwin." You interjected as if you heard his thoughts loudly. "Whether I agree or not is the least of your concerns."
He was silent for a while and attempted to hide a sly smile. "I was trying to be discreet about it at the very least. So I'd appear as someone with basic human decency."
Your thoughts were deprived of you then. You faced the ceiling again and just laughed out loud. He watched as you did, albeit with curiosity — perhaps anxiousness — lurking around his gaze. You pretended the small tear that dripped down your eyes was only because of your hearty laugh. "Basic human decency is asking such a question while naked. Sure."
"Oh no. I didn't take note of your preference regarding such matters." He almost gasped. "How inconsiderate of me."
The disbelief on your face was replaced with a smile. You attempted to not laugh again only to fail because when you turned completely to him, he looked genuinely nervous already. "I think the fact that you asked me to live with you and find that tree to wreak another havoc was already an answer. Of course, it would transcend a matter such as marriage. Marriage is something only applicable in this lifetime."
He nodded. "I thought I had to work on making you realize it slowly."
"I know better now, smart-ass."
"You do. I'm not satisfied with that laugh, though. Perhaps you need to be clearer about your compliance."
"Compliance? Are you dropping a command?"
"No. It's an imploring request and your disagreement would subject me to a life and death moment." He clarified.
"You're a bastard."
"Am I?"
"If you laid this down to anyone in this exact way, they'd run away from you."
"Would they?" He looked surprised again.
"Uh-huh." The way you cupped his cheek and gave him a long kiss answered his question though, and when you withdrew from it he let out a deep sigh of relief as if he had held that breath for so long. He also let it register for a while.
When he turned to kiss you, you realized it's not intended to end with silly kisses again. You welcomed it with pleasure as you always would. "Tell me properly, then." He pressed in a low voice. "Tell me you would."
"I'll be the one to do the begging if you didn't ask first." You stated as a matter of fact.
He was silent for a while then slowly nodded. He curled his eyebrows in between, though. "I would never let you beg. You're way above me."
"Stop there, mister. I'm not gonna marry someone who isn't my equal."
He looked quite horrified, "So are you not…"
"Yeah, if you keep on saying I'm above you. We're way beyond titles and ranks. No one's above each other now."
"So if I worked on fixing that, would you marry me?"
"I'll help you fix that after marrying you." You shot him a teasing smile.
He was stunned at first; it was as if his nervousness only subsided after you finished that particular remark. After a sigh, he chuckled and whispered before kissing you again, "I've polished tons of plans in mind to convince you into doing so. Glad to know that I wouldn't need them anymore."
After a long and painful struggle beyond lifetimes, shifting from worlds and embodying everything it entailed in your entireties, the grim finally subsided into pure solace.
Grief would still visit everyone from time to time — just like how dusk ebbs the light and paves way to the darkness until it subsides at dawn. But see, there are nightlights to guide you while it persists. After all, when you saw it blink in yellow and had it accentuate the features of this man that night, you realized for the very first time that you're not supposed to be alone. That you still have numerous gleaming wills to cling to. Dusk might've started in horror for Wahren, Verra, and all the bearers of the Parallel but the want to protect and preserve these lights during darkness saved them.
And you're the one who was saved by it the most.

Yay now I gotta explain the one and definitely only, Sarkar'thor. Or just Sark (or Sarkar) for short (not NM version).
He's your typical edgy evil EXE OC, whose main goal is to enslave all of humanity and turn them into his perfect playthings to pull into his realm/dimension and toy with them for all eternity, he's an Eldritch entity, maybe even a God, as he claims to be.
He created Sari as a potential partner in his tyranny to be on his side because apparently this loser wanted a girlfriend. Which he promptly made sure she'd only obey him and only him (this shit already sounds cringey, I hate him, but also love writing him, getting bullied/j) if she ever disobeyed him he'd just reset her mind and make her obey him by force, control her thoughts and actions. Besides... "She's his creation", he made her look exactly like him with some differences like her height and her quil shape. After a few years she started to form some type of identity struggle asking if she's even her own person or if she's just a puppet for this monsters desires. Eventually like in Sari's post she did rebel against him after several trials and errors, and gained her own control over her body, becoming one of the very few "good" EXEs. All because of this hedgehog.
Sarkar is highly egotistical and narcissistic, sadistic, he doesn't take many things seriously since he's got all the time in the world thinking humanity is already in his grasp he's just buying himself some time, he loves seeing others fall beneath him and squirm, he does it all because it's entertainment to him and gives him a sense of power, so yeah he's rather emotionally, mentally and physically abusive. (Hate him, now) He doesn't like it when people disobey him, or when things don't go his way or get out of hand. He'll get irritated and even enraged, almost childish-like tantrums. But will quickly regain himself once he got ahold of the situation or thought of some "Evil Plan" to counter it and regain control. Though he may be childish, he's quite the clever sly fox and can manipulate someone's trust and use them to his advantage to further aid his ego and his goal, especially if they're human.. If he gets a human to trust him enough to play the game, he'll pull them through the screen and into his game so he can torment them.
His game, like any EXE is like a virus, one of those pop-up fake sonic games you see on those like websites? It's like that, it also can still be by disc, you'll just randomly have that disc show up on your doorstep in a box or already inside your house, it all depends if the human bait takes it and plays the game. Which the game plays like a normal sonic game long enough to keep your attention so when you're to focused on finishing the level, he can drag you inside and toy with you, everything in the game is made by him so the characters are all his doing, they're just husks waiting for a soul to inhabit them.
The reason he even took the shape of a.. Blue anthropomorphic hedgehog that runs fast is because when he was created via the Void, with his brother he and him thought it would be so funny to take the forms of the same character and toy with humans as a cruel sick joke between themselves, thinking it wouldn't really go that well but was so surprised on how easily they were able to trick humans into their trap and get souls.
Bonus:
- He's a lot like Lord X, in fact (in my series) they're brothers. X is based off classic Sonic's shape and form, while Sarkar is based off of modern Sonic. It's just X is more cold and calculated, but still likes goofing off like him (and teasing him, in fact that's one of his favorite gags he likes pulling off). While Sarkar is more cruel and sadistic, but very.. Very childish. Like he gets angry fast, and X finds that easy to toy with him to get his reaction, just as much as Sarkar toys with his prey to get their reactions.
- Sarkar has such a fascination towards like.. Himself he likes staring at himself in the mirror, like his ego is more inflated than the world's largest blimp, like he seriously created his girlfriend to be exactly like him and look like him but female so he can basically say "Hey, I fucked myself" so Sari's existence is nonchalantly a joke to him. I mean her name is just ONE letter away from his? "Sar-i-" and "Sar-k-". I'm so glad she got away from this controlling abusive loser and began a better life she deserves better.
- Sarkar's canon height is 5'1ft, so yeah Sari honestly could like crush him 💀, he still doesn't know why she was born so huge but he liked it and kept it.
- He's oddly British, like his accent is British, one of those rough aggressive sounding ones, I don't know how to describe it. He just has that.
- The day I created this sick bastard was November 7th, 2022 so this guy is a Scorpio, fitting.

What's a piece of worldbuilding for your blog(s) that you've scrapped?
Tumblr media
Hey, did you know that Lacey and Lauren originally came from another world that was taken through via a Magic!Anon? They were transported to Zinnia's world through the Latias Army!Anon, where 100,000+ Latias suddenly swarmed Sky Pillar and eventually (with the exception of Lacey and Lauren) were moved to another island that Zinnia visits on occasion.
The interesting bit was that there were times that Zinnia would actually use that plot point (and the eventual Braxien horde that followed) in RPs, whether to find somewhere safe to hide someone, or to overwhelm and raid an area like she did Flare HQ.
It's since been changed. There's no longer a Latias horde, and Heidi and Lauren got there via an Ultra Wormhole instead.

Tumblr media
Another one is something that specifically 4 people is going to recall I think. I had a HC that Rayquaza had a deathly fear of Joltik because he was taken advantage of thanks to them. Originally, that person was Aster -- the previous Lorekeeper. She apparently joined the beginnings of team Plasma and used Joltik to absorb his power and abuse him until he submitted (but she died instead). I even had a whole plot event back in 2017 where Zinnia and Rayquaza were to find a dungeon underneath Sky Pillar that housed long-dead and experimented-on Pokémon that Aster had... I don't exactly remember what the aim was for because it's been 6 years, but I definitely recall it was super fucked up.
Then, much later, I scrapped that and said that his fear was from the 6th Lorekeeper that would use Joltik as a way to weaken and eventually kill him.
All of this is scrapped for... I hope obvious reasons.

While I'm at it, have an interesting half-scrapped AU.
Tumblr media
Back when Heidi first regained her memories from encountering Friede, I originally thought of an AU where Heidi instead was evil instead of the good goirl she is today. Basically, this AU featured her back in Gaia always having a big aversion to humans and being closer to Lati, her brother, instead of Lauren. Then, when Heidi came to the world, she actually hated Zinnia and Rayquaza and secluded herself in Kalos instead and be like, Zygarde's on-and-off again girlfriend. The thing is that when Heidi eventually regained her memories and learned that Friede was going to destroy the world, she would join Friede's squad and always chase to basically become mommy's best little girl.
This was scrapped in part because the original person that rp'd Friede and Ruined Kingdom is no longer on Tumblr, but it was also because I didn't exactly like the direction it was taking... and the fact that I don't like doing story AUs (especially when mainverse story is so dense). That said, that doesn't mean that I completely poof'd the idea.
Tumblr media
Heidi's closeness to Zygarde, and the eventual three-way relationship between Heidi, Rayquaza, and her was inspired from this. Linking Rayquaza and Zygarde this way through Heidi really helped me flesh out Zygarde's arc and think about how she fit in Elysium.
Tumblr media
This idea is also how the idea of Lacey, Heidi's Shadow Forme, came to be. Keep in mind that I actually never played XD or Coliseum (no, I don't want to play it, so no, I won't play it) so the concept of Shadow Pokémon and Shadow Energy took some research and time to think about (obv, this was also before Go had Shadow Pokémon iirc but the eventual introduction of them in Go helped too). Now, Lacey is more neutral towards humans and just wants to find a way to either separate herself from Heidi or take over permanently.

Eren x Reader - Chapter 1
3k Words.
The 104th Cadet Corps stood to attention in rows out in the large courtyard. They were lined up in straight single files and were all facing the supposed corps commander. Two hundred and seventy-nine cadets stood in their new uniform getting inspected by the corps trainer who had a scowl resting on his face, his shrewd, sunken in eyes examining every single scrawny and not scrawny individual, not paying any mind to the different expressions everyone held or how worried any of them seemed.
Unexpectedly his voice erupted from his throat, yelling for everyone in the entire court could hear. "I am Keith Sadies, I will be your Commanding officer for the next three years!" His small, beady eyes scanned over the cadets until they landed on a blond boy. "Hey, you!" He barked at the poor boy.
"Sir!" Was all he could respond with, trying to match the man's volume and confidence while saluting.
"Who the hell are you?!" The informality of the question caught everyone off guard, but they listened intently to pick up on the 'correct' things to say.
"Armin Arlelt, from Shiganshina District!" Armin yelled with the appropriate amount of volume
"I see! That's a ridiculous name! Did your parents give it to you?"
Armin looked at the commander, slightly taken aback but replied formally, nonetheless. "My grandfather did, Sir!"
"Arlelt! Why are you here?!"
"To help humanity achieve victory!"
Sadies looked at Armin and his small structure. "How commendable of you, we'll use you as Titan bait. The third row, face backward!" He marched off, keeping his impeccable posture, and moved to a young girl roughly the same age as Armin. "Who the hell are you?"
"Y/n L/n Sir!" The girl stated, saluting, and trying her best not to provoke the man. Obviously unsatisfied with her answer he leaned over Y/n. "District?" He simply said, intimidating her with his harsh tone.
"G.D.P. R, it's General Data Protection Regulation!" She stated loudly in a monotone voice and gulped straight after. "It is not mandatory to hand out such information, Sir!" She continued tediously not wanting to show any sign of weakness in front of him yet couldn't help but feel nervous. Uncomfortable under his gaze she straightened her back.
"It wasn't a question it was an order," He barked, grabbing her by the collar. "What regiment do you want to go into anyways, runt?"
With the tips of her toes still barely touching the floor, she was being held up by her shirt which slightly choked her. "Scouting Regiment, Sir!" She managed to grind out as she struggled to instinctively not push his hand away to break free from his grasp.
He suddenly dropped her, making her feet return, flat on the ground. She regained her balance and took a deep breath while Sadies just walked away, mumbling under his breath before continuing to harass the other cadets.
Once they were all split into the different bunkers a few hours later, it was eventually time to eat. Y/n had taken a small bowl of soup and a golden loaf of bread. A small crowd surrounded one of the tables and they seemed to be making a ruckus, talking about the attack on Wall Maria two years ago and the Colossus Titan. The girl took a seat at a quieter table, not saying a word, and noticed a boy leaning on his hand beside her. Wasn't he the one who got headbutted by Keith Sadies? She thought.
You won't be able to go far in the long run by yourself in these types of scenarios and she knew better than to go off alone because you could see groups forming already. She definitely did not want to be left at the bottom of the scoreboard plus she often thought that company could be rather entertaining at times, often you hear about friends 'having each other's back' and the reality of it was Y/n knew that she would need this kind of help
"Hey, I'm Y/n." She raised her hand for the boy to shake, he drew his gaze up away from the group of people to face her.
He smiled politely in response while taking her hand and shaking it firmly. "Jean Kirstein!" He pulled his hand back and rested his elbow on the table "Y/n, you were the one who wanted to go to the scouts, huh?"
She nodded in response, "Yeah, I know that joining the Scouts is a high-risk job, but it doesn't matter, right? It's for humanity's progress... I suppose."
She smiled to herself, happy that she had successfully begun small talk.
She looked at him as she remembered something, trying her best not to laugh at the memory, "I'm sorry, but you're the person who got headbutted for wanting to be a part of the Military Police Brigade, aren't you?"
Shocked, he sat up straight and waved his hands while shaking his head in denial, still embarrassed about the incident. "It sure wasn't funny at the time- " Jean was about to carry on attempting to explain himself but stopped as the room suddenly fell silent.
The two gave each other a look and turned around to see what the deal was. A brown-haired boy was pressing his hand to his mouth seemingly startled as everyone stared in his direction. Y/n furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Jean and she peered curiously at the scene, eager to know what was going on.
The whole room was doing the exact same thing, and no one looked away until someone finally tried to pitifully to take the attention off the boy.
"Let's spare him the questions, everyone. I'm sure there are things he doesn't want to remember."
"Sorry for-" Someone else spoke up too.
"It's not like that!" The boy interrupted before picking up a piece of bread and taking a bite out of it. At this point, everyone in the room was eavesdropping trying to figure out what the group were talking about. "Titans aren't actually that big of a deal! Once we've mastered the Omni-directional mobility gear, they'll be nothing to us! We finally get to train as soldiers. I was just overcome with emotion, that's all. I'm going to join the Scout Regiment and drive the Titans out of this world! I'm going to slaughter them!"
Y/n had let out a quiet 'pft' trying her best to put up with listening to such a childish statement. From listening in to the conversation, she understood something must have happened two years ago, and this type of determination wasn't usually healthy as far as she knew. Y/n turned around completely with her back to the table and raised an eyebrow.
From the corner of her eye, she could see Jean was uncertain about how to feel about the boy's statement. Y/n began to think that the green eyed boy would be suited for the scouts, he sure had the determination to join and give it his all, but it would depend on his instincts. She simply thought 'by the end of the three years he could change his mind about joining alltogether, but then again it could happen to the best of us, yet there is just a look in his eyes that shows that he was completely serious.' In a weird way she held a bit of respect for him because of that glint in his eyes.
Everyone seemed shocked and almost intimidated by this boy's statement. Jean didn't budge at any of his words yet looked more concerned than anything
"Whoa there, you crazy?" Jean had butted into the conversation, not moving from the table and speaking his mind. The green eyed boystunned while Jean sat there agitated, "Did you just say you're going to enlist in the Survey Corps?"
The brunette boy lifted his head and looked over at Jean. "Yeah, that's right. If I'm not mistaken, you're aiming to live it up in the Military Police Brigade, right?"
"I'm an honest guy you see. I'd say I'm a lot more pleasant to be around than someone who puts on a brave face despite being terrified deep down inside."
Y/n had an idea as to what was happening, the boy was now standing and getting irritated by Jean's insinuations. "Are you implying something?"
"Hey now, I wasn't really..." Jean stood up and walked across the room meeting the brunette halfway. Once they both reached the centre of the room a bell rang from the tower signalling it was time to leave.
"Whatever, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to dismiss your opinion," He held out his hand calling a truce. "Let's call it even with this."
"Yeah, I crossed the line too." He brushed Jeans' hand away while leaving through the front door with a raven-haired girl scurrying after him.
Y/n let out a scoff more turbulent than she originally anticipated.
Jean gestured to Y/n to give him a moment. He neared the girl trying to chase after the boy, stopping her. They spoke briefly while Y/n just picked up both their bowls putting them away. Once she was finished, she saw Jean enter through the front door.
"Hey, sorry about that," He apologized and laughed while scratching the back of his neck. "We sort of have to leave, but I'll meet you for training tomorrow, is that okay?"
The girl nodded happily and accepted thinking that she had successfully made her first comrade. "Yeah! We need to get used to each other because we will be seeing a lot more of one another over the next three years, I'm sure!" She said as they both exited the building grinning at each other in a rather childish way.
"Goodnight Jean." She waved at him eagerly, as she departed, making her way towards the bunker. Along the way there, she saw the 'potato girl' on the ground being held by a blonde girl. A tall, dark-haired woman stood there too, accompanying them. Y/n was curious but didn't want to intrude, so she just walked by past them, entering the bunker she was assigned to.
The sun rose and everyone was up and dressed ready for their first official day of training. Sadies was already standing there so not many people were talking. Jean joined the group of cadets and spotted Y/n, once everyone had arrived training had officially begun.
"First off we'll test your aptitude! Those incapable of this aren't suited to even be used as decoys!"
People, including Y/n and Jean, began to get into the harnesses.
"Or we'll have you transferred to the reclaimed land!"
At first, she wobbled and had to get used to the harness by balancing, yet once she got it there was no issue other than the ever so slight breeze, meanwhile beside her, Jean looked extremely nervous and his body seemed stiff. She began to mess with the boundaries by leaning back and forth trying to see her limits and let out a quiet laugh as she pushed the limits of belt restraints. She heard Sadies yelling at someone and honestly, that wasn't new, but when she looked over to her right to see what was going on, there was the same boy from last night hanging upside down.
"What are you doing, Eren Jaeger?! Straighten yourself up!" People were snickering at him as he struggled with getting up, Sadies stood up straight and saw Y/n messing around. "This is a test! Not playtime L/n!"
Once everyone had finished training, she and Jean began to stroll around the court talking about everything they could even think about, she looked out towards the aptitude testing area and the 'Eren Jaeger' didn't seem to be giving up, he was still there with his two friends. Jean must have looked over too. "That kid just never gives up, doesn't he?"
She raised her eyebrow looking away from the three teens to face Jean. "He is the same age as us, Jean!"
"It's a figure of speech."
She playfully rolled her eyes with a grin on her face. "You looked nervous when you were doing your 'test' Jean"
"Yeah, well at least I wasn't the one to get caught by Sadies playing on it like a swing."
They both made their way over to the assigned bunkers just to sit down after the long day of boredom. All they did was hang about in the air for three minutes, and then watch others do it for the rest of the day.
Potato girl ran out of Y/n 's bunker and began screaming. "We get to eat now; I've been waiting for this all day!" That was the signal it was time for food once again. At least Y/n wouldn't have to ever worry about ever forgetting about that.
In the food court, hushed voices sailed through the air.
"Isn't that the guy who said he would slaughter all the titans yesterday?"
All this talk about the infamous Eren Jaeger was going around the court like wildfire, while Eren himself sat at a table with a bandage wrapped around his head, trying to ignore everyone as his adopted sister began to talk to him.
It was noticeably less crowded in the dining area due to the dropouts from the 'intensity' of the training. Connie, Jean, and Y/n were sitting together. Jean had introduced them to one another. Connie seemed like a relaxed and talented person.
Attempting to name all the cadets and failing she ended up with making up names for people because the three kept forgetting the other cadettes names. Y/n shoved the loaf of bread into the small pocket in her jacket saving some for later.
The bell rang and everyone began to leave, putting away their plates. Y/n departed with Connie and Jean at her side. She stood outside of their bunker talking to them before she had to leave.
"So, Connie, where are you from, we were so caught up in creating names for people I never got to ask!" Connie nodded while smiling at her "I'm from Ragako Village on the south side of Wall Rose!"
Eren and Armin showed up at their shared bunker and once the 'Titan Slaughterer' noticed the three-standing outside, he strolled over, interrupting their discussion.
"Can I speak to you three in private?"
They went inside, Connie, Y/n, and Jean were lined up facing Armin and Eren.
"I need your hel-"
Y/n immediately cut him off before he could even finish his sentence. "Why?"
He looked at them shocked but desperate . "I'm begging you all, can any of you guys help me. Come on, please help me out for the aptitude test. Do you have any tips or anything?"
"I don't speak for Connie or Jean, but you need to rely on your capabilities. Don't push yourself to do something your body isn't be capable of doing," She looked out the window to see pitch darkness. "I'd better go, my roommates might be worried." She left without saying a word, leaving the boys to their own conversation.
She shuffled into the room quietly, knocking before entering just as a warning in case anyone was getting changed. She sat on her bed and pulled out half a loaf of bread and tossed it to Sasha. She ate it happily and thanked her by making almost animalistic noises since her mouth was practically stuffed with bread. Sitting on the edge of her bed she stayed there while the girls made some small talk, then she remembered that look in his eye. The look that told her she was doing the wrong thing by sitting here doing nothing.
Eren couldn't sleep due to the possibility of being kicked out when the sun rises and being shipped over to pick up rocks and pull plants in the fields where the 'dropouts' go.
He laid in his bed; thinking, while all light was gone, and the room was now in complete darkness. How he was going to pull this off, he had no idea. He had asked everyone for advice or help but most of it was useless.
Snapping out of his thoughts he heard a knock at the door and looked around the room to see no one was awake. He stood up and opened the wooden door, trying not to creak the floorboards. He was greeted with Y/n holding a light in her hands.
"What are you doing here?" He asked in a hushed tone, closing the door over, not wanting to wake anyone up.
"I'm here to help you, so get ready and I'll be over there setting up the aptitude test so we can practice."
She clipped in Eren tightening his belt he had earlier that day around him and went to the lever preparing to elevate him.
"Jaege-"
"Eren is fine" he said trying to break the formality between the two.
"Okay then, Eren," She sighed quietly while gesturing to the lever. "When I turn the lever and you're in the air, you can take my hands and I can help you balance, just until you get used to it."
He nodded confirming that he understood and was prepared. His feet lifted off the ground, but he was extremely unstable rocking forth and back looking as if he were about to slam his forehead into the ground at any moment. Rushing to him, she held up her hands for him to take and steadied him. He intertwined their fingers, not wanting to whack his head off the floor.
She felt his grip tighten as he began to straighten his back to gain some sort of balance. "Are you okay there?"
"Erm, yeah, I think so." Eren's grip loosened as he became more confident in himself now that he was staying upright. Y/n slowly took one hand away from Eren's to see how he would do. Once Eren managed to balance himself, he looked over at Y/n smiling in victory... until he slipped. He whipped backwards bringing his legs up at an alarming rate, kicking Y/n in the face, causing her to stumble backwards holding her jaw.
Eren's head was hovering barely an inch off the ground, hanging there upside down with his hair touching the dirt floor. He watched her stumble back and he quickly apologised realising what had happened. "Shit, are you okay?"
She took her hand away from her face and responded with, "I'm fine!" She walked back over to him and sighed "Now try and do a pull up I'll push your feet down if you need help!"
He began to try and pull up and his legs came down making it easier to grab Erens feet from where Y/n was standing. She grabbed his ankles pushing his legs down bringing up his upper body.
When she pushed his legs down there was a weird... almost uneven feeling to him, or maybe it was his belt. They both took each other's hands again and Eren looked up quickly before concentrating back on balancing.
"There are only about five more hours until we have to be back out here!" She snickered at his statement, "You'd better keep practicing then."
They continued to practice until there was only one hour left to spare for sleep. Y/n laid down in her bed not getting changed, what felt like seconds later Sasha nudged her to wake up. Rolling out of the bed she exited the room back to the field she had been occupying all night.
They all stood there as Eren was being clipped into the aptitude tester. Jean walked to Y/n and said, "Well you look like shit."
She glared at him not impressed with his statement, "You wouldn't even begin to believe what I did." Dark bags laid under her eyes as she raised her head to look at Eren as he was being raised into the air not having enough effort to listen to the people around her. He was steadied still, she smiled widely about to punch the air in victory until he fell trying to get back up determined to pass the test.
Sadies ordered someone to lower him once he was on the floor, she had begun to push through the crowd with Jean following behind her. As she was about to ask Sadies for a second attempt he commanded. "Wagner, Switch belts with Jaeger!"
It was the moment of truth, everyone was on edge, he was being lifted into the air by the two large pieces of wire. He was elevated into the air, and he wobbled before coming to the realisation, he had passed. He looked out at Mikasa grinning and punched the air victoriously.
To be continued ...

hello, sorry to bother you but, i'd like to ask you, if you are still taking requests, 'cause i'd like to send you, it could be fic or headcanon, for the zanpakutos as humans(?), dealers choice what you would like to do. if not, that's ok, thank you for your time and have a nice day! :)))
Not a bother at all anon! I assume what you mean by ‘zanpakuto as humans’ you mean their forms in the zanpakuto rebellion arc. Please let me know otherwise as I did the headcanons under this assumption.
I must admit I don’t have too many headcanons for the zanpakuto, and the ones I do have are mainly for Hyourinmaru and Tobiume. I’ve more or less mentioned most of them in my fic Distant Echoes, but hopefully you’ll like these:
Hyourinmaru
Tumblr media
Hyourinmaru is cold. Like, if you stand in his presence for too long, chances are you’ll start shivering. He’s got a cold aura and he’s definitely cold to touch.
Like his master, he has a sense of pervasive loneliness. He knows he is alone in how powerful he is and knows there is no one else out their like him. He’s also an introvert by nature, not one to often initiate conversation even with friends.
Rangiku is actually just as important to Hyourinmaru as she is to his master. While like his master he views her as free-spirited and shirks off her responsibilities at times, he knows she was the one who set his master on the path to not only becoming a Shinigami, but to discovering who Hyourinmaru was. Because of her, Toshiro eventually found out his zanpaukto’s name, was able to reign in the powers he possessed, and became close to Hyourinmaru. It’s why he was willing to go fetch her a tea when she asked, and if she made other requests, he’d like do them for her.
Momo is someone who he also views as important, but more so to his master. He knows that Rangiku is the one who set his master on the path to learning his powers and becoming a Shinigami, but Momo is the reason why he learned all those things in the first place. Toshiro’s will to protect her is why he learned Hyourinmaru’s name and went on to develop a Shikai and Bankai. She was one of the few individuals who didn’t fear him when he was a child, and who saw his Shinigami potential before Hyourinmaru made himself known through dreams. They first met when Toshiro was recovering in Fourth Division. He intimidated her somewhat, but she quickly realised he wasn’t all that scary. From then on, their interactions were friendly, and like with Rangiku, he’s willing to do anything she asks of him.
He never said it, but he wanted to meet Granny. He knew it was his powers that were slowly killing her, and it’s for that reason he knows Toshiro never took him to meet Granny, but it also because of this he wanted to meet her. He knows leaving her was painful for Toshiro, and that there have been times when he wished he could just go back and live in Junrinan but knows he can’t. Hyourinmaru wanted to get to know the Soul who raised his master and, in a way, make amends for the trouble he caused her and his master.
Due to his introverted nature, Hyourinmaru doesn’t often interact with the other zanpakuto spirits while in physical form. He didn’t speak to or interact with the other zanpakuto so he wouldn’t give away that he wasn’t completely under Muramasa influence, that he had actually lost his memories and was seeking his master rather than rebelling against him.
However, even after he regained his memories, he rarely initiated conversation with or sought out the other zanpakuto. He wasn’t unfriendly with them when they come to him though, and for certain zanpakuto makes an effort to reign in his cold aura to not freeze them.
Haineko would come talk to him sometimes after he regained his memories and Muramasa lost his influence over her. Although she had mostly lost interest in him for his appearance, she still admits that he’s handsome. Their conversations are often short, given that Hyourinmaru isn’t much of a talker. She told him about her experiences with Narunosuke and though he didn’t completely understand her whole feelings about the situation he tried his best to offer some comforting words. In battle, he would protect her if necessary.
Tobiume and Hyourinmaru were familiar to one another, even before he regained his memories. Of all the zanpakuto, he wanted to speak to her the most but feared she would figure out he wasn;t under Muramasa’s influence. After he regained his memories and she was free of Muramasa, the two interacted a few times. He considers her a fine zanpakuto, one with a lot of potential to tap into. He also see part of Momo in her, and because of her kindness can see why his master is so attached to Tobiume’s master. In battle, he will not hesitate to protect her if she is threatened and cannot handle an opponent herself. Outside of battle, if he saw her in distress or saddened, he would go to her side. Also, given the nature of her powers, she’s one of the few zanpakuto he doesn’t have to reign in his cold aura for. However, if she stays in his prescence long enough, she does start to shiver and he reigns it in then.
Hyourinmaru and Sode no Shiraiyuki actually get along quite well. Most of the time, their interactions are quiet and not much is said. When they do talk, they each reflect on the progress of their masters with their ice-based abilities. She acknowledges that he’s the strongest ice-type zanpakuto, but he says she and her master are capable of great power once they’ve harnessed it.
Tobiume
Tumblr media
(How isn't there any gifs of Tobiume?! Image credit BLEACH wiki)
After Muramasa is defeated and she escapes his influence, Tobiume was very apologetic to Momo for things she said and did against her master. She’s practically attached at the hip to Momo and the two spend a lot of time together, with Momo showing Tobiume a few things she wouldn’t experience otherwise (like tasting various foods and drinks, for instance). They also talk about Aizen and how Momo is gradually learning to cope with his betrayal.
Tobiume is unsure about Toshiro and Rangiku. She gratitates more towards Rangiku with how alike she is to her zanpakuto, but she views Toshiro as something of a friendly rival. She will be polite to him, but has been tempted to tease him in a similar manner to how Momo used to when they were children. She also knows her master cares a great deal about him and wouldn’t do anything on purpose to offend her and Toshiro by extension.
On some level, Tobiume actually admires Haineko. While under Muramasa’s influence, this admiration got turned into jealousy and caused her to fight with Haineko. After coming out fo Muramasa’s influence, Tobiume and Haineko got on much better. They still had a few fights, but they weren’t as fierce as before. Tobiume admires Haineko’s confidence and willingness to throw herself into most situations, even if it means potentially embarrassing herself. After learning about her heartbreak with Narunosuke, Tobiume comforted her as best she could.
As I said above, Tobiume vaguely recognised Hyourinmaru before she escaped Muramasa’s influence. From the moment she laid eyes on him, she couldn’t help but feel like she knew him from somewhere. It’s one of the reasons she tried to interact with him and why she wanted him to have a good impression of her. After coming out of Muramasa influence, Tobiume apologised for the way she behaved towards Hyourinmaru, but he thought nothing of it. They interact a few times before losing their physical forms, and even went on a night walk together. They reflect on the progressive of their respective masters and how they somehow recognised each other before Muramasa’s defeat.
In their last interaction, Tobiume tells Hyourinmaru she and Momo are working on trying to manifest true form into the physical world for bankai training; she playfully says she hopes he can convince his master to bring him into the physical world at least once so she can see him again. However, Hyourinmaru takes this seriously and says this will not be the as time they see each other once she can come into the physical world.
She won’t admit it, but Tobiume does have a small crush on Hyourinmaru. It isn’t reciprocated on his end end…at this stage. Hyourinmaru knows he cares deeply about Tobiume, but he isn’t sure about the nature of his feelings yet.
Thanks for sending this in! :D
