the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

"people show their true colours in life threatening situations" no, they show you what they act like when they're mortally terrified, an emotion notorious for literally turning your entire brain off to the point where people who go into those situations as a profession need to be literally trained on how to not have that happen

Truly the all time funniest writer thing is when you're doing edits and you think to yourself "omg I've got the PERFeCT sentence to add right here!" and then you stick it in all excited, only to find that literally three lines down you have virtually that exact same sentence in the draft already.

Now that I see Things of the Past again here after reading it on Ao3. I always wondered how things went between MC and Five when Five left after the shower to disappear from their lives and her discovering the wedding ring in the bathroom. As far as I remember they went straight to Marseille after Lila stopped him. I know you probably weren’t interested in stretching the scenario, but I hope Five apologized for giving her a heart attack 😭

I can finally answer this now that the chapter concerned is out on Tumblr.

I imagine there was a quick apology that wasn't dwelled upon. Just a quick 'sorry', a hug and no more said about it. He wasn't really planning, he was just reacting. I think it would be hard to stay angry at him in that state.
