How it started vs How it's going... The first photo is March last year, and Valak was finished in August last year. They are just 5 months apart. The moral of this little story is DON'T GIVE UP. You may think right now you want to learn something new - maybe you have deep regrets that your lockdown buddy learnt fluent Spanish whilst you learnt that it's exactly 38 steps to the fridge, (erm... me 😅) - but JUST GO FOR IT. Even the smallest amount of practice will get you there if you really want to do it! IT REALLY IS NEVER TOO LATE. My style has evolved so much, and I can't wait to do this again at Christmas when I finally release my Krampus embroidery 😃 I'm currently focussing a lot on growing and evolving The embRUDEry Store - eventually I want to be able to upcycle old furniture. This will also be a brand new learning curve for me, but it's not going to stop me from doing it. All I have to do is look at the difference in these two pieces of work, just 5 months apart, (even less if you account for the hours that went in to Valak...), and it gives me the motivation I need. I can do stuff, if I really put my mind to it. And if I really WANT to do it.
