And the electrified pool incident continues (ik electric eels are of fresh water and not the ocean, but I already drew it. So. I have no canonical explanation for that I did it for the joke)

Taking a second look I'm starting to think their outfits are too simple, but first and foremost I wanted to do something fun for the looks of their primary features. I took inspiration from Luca (probably one of my favorite movies ever so I couldn't help but reference it here too lol) for the eye catching merform designs! Considering they're canonically sea monsters anyway, I didn't want to just insert their og designs here, so in this au they're more like in between their og merforms and human forms, also with their color pallettes are more similar to what flotsam and jetsam looked like in the little mermaid movie imo I wanted them to essentially wear the same thing despite the contrasting personalities, and technically most of the time they're walking around the school they're simultaneously working for Azul, looking for students to make deals with happens in this universe too (fortunately for them and unfortunatelyfor others), so an outfit more inclined to formal would be ideal to cause a good impression on their business, or as good as they can make it anyway. Nobody can contain Floyd though, if he has to wear an uniform he is going to stylize it.

Keeping it short this time, I don't wanna keep it on my drafts to add more notes later and postpone this more than I already have 💀 if I remember more facts about the AU twins I'll share them later!

Also, I was thinking of making a tag for asks related to this AU and I think I'll name it #.phantom asks to follow the AU theme lol but now I have to edit previous asks to insert this tag so wish me luck

And the rest of the cast are the munchkins

I uh 💀 recall being forced to watch Wizard of Oz once as like a 7 year old, so my recollection of it is vague at best 💦 I did refer to its Wikipedia page to summarize the story and characters to me, so hopefully that’s enough to get an understanding of this prompt!

My interpretation would be:

Yuu as Dorothy and Grim as Toto! The obvious picks ✨

Expanding Team Dorothy and co. to create novel roles so each of the first years can have a part in the journey; I very much like the idea of the first year friend group!

If we’re sticking with just the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion�� I’d choose Deuce for Scarecrow (since he is objectively the less intelligent between him and Ace). What Deuce would gain at the end wouldn’t be smarts, but rather the understanding and the acceptance that he’s stubborn and simple-minder, and that’s his strength. This would be similar to how Deuce unlocks his UM in book 5, by embracing his true self.

Jack would be my pick for Lion (since he is more beast-like). Additionally, Jack had to deal with finding the courage to stand up to the rest of his dorm, including the dorm leader, in book 2.

Vil as Glinda works, but I can also see Azul playing Glinda in a sleazier manner befitting the shadiness of a used car salesman. I just think that juxtaposition between how kind he looks and his real attitude would be hilarious (think of like Fairy Godmother from Shrek 2).

Back to the idea of Vil as Glinda though, he’d totally kill the look!! I think it would be funny if the ruby red slippers that bring Yuu home are the crimson Ténèbres brand mirror heels 👠👠 mentioned in Jade’s Dorm Uniform vignettes (a highly exclusive shoe that even Vil dreams of but finds it hard to get his hands on). RIP Yuu though, having to walk to the Emerald City in those…

Azul and the twins work as the Wicked Witch of the West and her Flying Monkey (Flying Fish?) henchmen. However, I can also see Malleus and Sebek + Silver in these roles since Malleus is TWST’s poster child for “villains”. He’d be mad that you killed his mother—/j

I can kind of see Idia as the Wizard since they’re both mysterious shut-ins, but I feel Crowley is more befitting since he’s the one constantly promising to find Yuu a way home. Crowley also works better since the Wizard kinda pep talks the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion about how they had the traits the most wished for all along. It seems like the kind of corny thing he would spout to try and convince his students to be friends. The enigmatic headmaster who loves shiny things and oversees a school that looks great from the outside but is constantly dealing with traumatic events on the inside… Doesn’t that kind of man fit the role of someone who lives in the shining Emerald City made of smoke and mirrors?

SHORT KINGS RIDDLE, LILIA, AND EPEL SHOULD BE MUNCHKINS… (Riddle and Epel would be mad about it, but Lilia would have fun with it and ask the others if they think he rocks the outfit.) This is only, of course, if Epel is not already a part of Team Dorothy and co. as a new character and/or if Lilia is not already serving as one of Malleus’s minions.

The Seven Dwarves and Cheka should be included among the Munchkins.

Your eyeless yuu reminds me of a song I really love called old doll, like that's all I hear in my head when I see them and I love it♡

Eyeless-Yuu is based on many things when I was first making them as I have a lot of previous concept art and designs to have them in. They were slightly based off a Eyeless Jack, the Evil Queens dagger that was meant to carve Snow's heart out, and a few songs I had in my playlist. The current design they have is a small mix of everything since it was too hard for me to stick to one theme on them and to keep in somewhat simple.

Half Shrimp-Yuu!

{Their honestly more like an Oc now but I guess that means my other Yuu's are too? Eh either way I love em.}

Half Shrimp-Yuu isn't from Twisted Wonderland {or the Coral Sea} and still from another world like other Yuu's but merfolk do exist.

So Half Shrimp-Yuu is almost similar to Sebek when it comes to being half human except Half Shrimp-Yuu is more against their merfolk side since it caused them to get bullied when on land back in their previous world but they're not open about it. Half Shrimp-Yuu has a habit of touching people's hair randomly though it's mainly Riddle and Sebek who faces this. {since as stated in the picture they pulled on Riddles heart ahoge thinking he was a shrimp but it was more like a light tug, and they randomly yank Sebek's hair for almost looking like a shrimp antenna}

Their father is a biologist and their mother is a merwoman shrimp. Half Shrimp-Yuu doesn't have siblings only cousins, aunts, uncles and overall just long distant but close relatives when visiting the sea back in their world.

Bonus: They randomly bite Azul, Floyd, and Jade on their wrist, fingers or cheek {they have no fear}. But Half Shrimp-Yuu does run away from them if they see them at a long distance along with even randomly leaving when in the middle of a conversation.

Here's my interpretation of the scene where the gang discusses the "super mysterious" and scary Duke of Scythes that terrorized Deuce's hometown. I'm sure the canon story won't spoil Deuce's secret past for a while yet, but I think it would be kind of funny if the others totally knew that it was him, and Epel asking Deuce about the Duke was a dig to see if he'd tell them. Otherwise, I just wanted a chance to draw the outfits! All of the frills on Epel's outfit were brutal, and I only made it through this piece by hiding most of Deuce's jacket behind the speech bubble. Ortho is in the background! I'll see if I can get a better drawing of him later on, but in the meantime I hope you all enjoy this addition to the white rabbit festival fan art!

ice-cream related

Is it just me or does Diasomnia’s headwear look like the kind of retro hats you’d find old-fashioned ice-cream parlor employees wearing 😭 The idea of them running a store or stall somewhere, serving up frozen treats… It’s oddly sort of fitting, seeing as how their dorm leader’s favorite food is ice-cream and how their vice dorm leader has served Malleus shaved ice in the past!

With how buff Silver and Sebek are 💀 they can probably hand churn that ice-cream, no problem… They’d get competitive about it too, trying to see who can whip up the most batches or achieve the smoothest texture, etc. Silver’s animal friends can bring berries and nuts as toppings or mix-ins! Sebek can enthusiastically shout about their specials and flavors of the day! (He also sticks little conical candies into the ice cream so they have “horns” like wakasama—) They can keep the ice-cream cold with enchanted ice (Malleus has plenty of magic to spare). And Lilia can… experiment… with and invent new, unique flavors!
