Purple seems to be a color people obsess over.

When someone tells you purple is their favorite color, they're just emphasizing the obvious, it is everywhere, from their shirt, to their phone screen, to the trinkets in their room.

It's like it envelops them whole, it becomes a substance of their being more than a color.

Even when it's subtle, when it's calm, when it hides, it is present.

Purple is attention grabbing, it's noticeable, our eyes are drawn to the color regardless of it's opacity, from the store apparel to the colors in the sky at sunset, even subconsciously, you notice it.

It's resilient, like the lavender as it is cut out into a bouquet and it lasts, it lasts for days, weeks months and even as it dries, and the color fades, it still remains, and even a year later the smell of lavender stays.

Purple stains when it touches, even when you can't see it, even when the touch is light, it's still felt, it still tingles, it still reaches under your skin to where you can't touch.

It still leaves a mark, and so you crave it, you crave purple.

You crave it loudly or in silence, only wanting it to know regardless.
