Yandere Crimson who met you through one his workers you were the sibling of one of the demons that worked for him. Crimson thought you were beautiful and that he couldn’t take his eyes off you. Some of the demons in that room loved to stare at you. Crimson felt jealous because only he should be allowed to look at you so anyone who looked at you had their eyes removed and was thrown into the waters. Crimson planned to have to himself that he had your sibling convenience you to come by more often and you did.

Yandere Crimson who treats you like the rarest diamond in the world but also doesn’t want anyone stealing you away so he always has his best men watching you, no one knows that they are there even you. Anyone who has ever flirted with you or hurt you has vanished into thin air or ended up dead. Crimson watches you sometimes even when you are sleeping he is watching you, he thinks that you look so adorable when you sleep he just wants to snatch you away and give you a better life so he does.

Yandere Crimson who tries to calm you down when you wake up in a panic in his bedroom, even though he tells you that;s it 's alright and it’s just him. But that doesn’t help because he fucking kidnapped you, eventually one of his men have to knock you got and Crimson kills him for hitting you to hard over the head, He’s worried so he calls the black market doctor Rosemary who tends to you but when you wake up, Rosemary informs Crimson that you have memory loss. Crimson takes this as a win and pays the doctor; but he also pays your brother so that he could lie to you.

Yandere Crimson who lies about being your husband, he tells you that we were in a small accident and that he’s been taking care of you. And you believe but ask him about your wedding rings. “ I’m getting them cleaned, only the best for my jewel. “ Crimson would give you a sweet twisted smile. Something didn’t feel right but you believed him, he also told you the reason you both don’t have pictures together is because he wanted to protect you since he is the mob, Crimson had created a new life for you.

Yandere Crimson who keeps you trapped in the house telling you that it’s far too dangerous to go outside because his rivals would kill you. He even goes as far as telling you that your friends are working for his rivals so you cut them off. Crimson keeps you isolated from everyone but your brother who helps Crimson with his lies. Your brother tells you how the wedding was beautiful and that you quoted it was one of the happiest days in your life.

Yandere Crimson who tells you that Moxxie is your step son. You want to call him but Crimson tells you that Moxxie is too busy and has abandoned the family. You frown at his words.You wanted to meet your step son, but you listen to Crimson because he knows what’s best for you. He kills anyone that could refresh your memories or destroys anything that brings back your memories which is why he got you a new phone and made an email for you and watches your new social media accounts.

Yandere Crimson who gaslights you whenever you remember something he tries to brush it off or guilt trips you whenever you ask too many questions about the wedding and why can’t you meet any of your family or his family. But things don’t work out when your brother feels guilty and works behind Crimson’s back so when he helps you finally regain your memory you both try to escape but your brother meets his end with a bullet in the head.

Yandere Crimson who tells you to shut up and stop screaming when he tries to tie you up while his men are dumping your brother’s body in the river. Crimson tells you that you’ll continue your new life with him and that he’ll never let you go and if you try to escape that he’ll also kill you. You don’t want to die so you listen to Crimson and remain tied to the bed until Crimson feels like he can untie you.

Yandere Crimson who always has you by his side because he’s scared you’ll leave so you end up sometimes witnessing what he does in the mob. Sometimes as punishment for not listening to him or trying to run away he forces you to watch the torture that he puts demons through. If you end crying he’ll apologize and buy you whatever you want but it doesn’t make up for all the shit he puts you through.

Yandere Crimson who eventually breaks you down to where you now just listen to him and have grown numb to the things he does in front of you. Did he just cut open the throat of one of his men, you just sigh and go back to what you were doing. Did he give you a kiss, you give him a kiss back not wanting to fight. Does he want to cuddle, fine let’s cuddle if it will shut him up, and does he wants you to help get rid of a body, I’ll go get the chainsaw honey.

Finally Yandere Crimson who is finally happy to have you where he wants you trapped underneath his fingers he always reminds you that if you ever try to leave him, cheat on him, or challenge him that you’ll end up just like his ex wife and you don’t want that so it’s best to listen to him. He has eyes and ears all over Greed so it’s hard to know who you can trust that is until a certain cowboy imp wants to talk with Crimson.

You were there before the uprising, watching on as omnics slowly grew in numbers, completing everyday tasks that humans could already easily do. They were machines made to follow commands and not one had emotions of their own. They simply followed their programming, whether that was cooking, cleaning, serving guests. Omnics were basically slaves to mankind.

That was until the uprising happened. Omnics all over the world began having their own thoughts and feelings. They were sentient, and many fought to keep that. Lives were lost, both human and machine, and before long, omnics were mixed in with human affairs, living day to day lives much like any other species would.

While many accepted it, you did not and everyone knew that. It’s probably why many people avoided you, but to hell with them, right? Machines are meant to work, humans are meant to leisure. Omnics don’t have wants or needs, they don’t have their own emotions. That was something you had believed and stuck to.

That was, until you pissed off the wrong omnic.

Ramattra arrived at the base some weeks ago, however you were mid mission, not aware there was a new visitor among fellow colleagues. He already had a room made up for him - one fitted with a bed, not that he needed it, a desk for his private workings as well as a wardrobe for his cowls and assortment of clothes he rarely wore.

He had heard the stories of your disdain for omnics, and hatred coursed through his wires. While he had somewhat grown to be more friendly to humans, he had already begun hating you, and he hadn't even met you. He had heard stories of how you had mistreated omnics, and he knew that you would never accept him for who he was. He was determined to prove you wrong, but he knew that it would be difficult.

There was a tension in the air around him whenever someone mentioned your name, that anger rising within him more. You were a threat to him, a target for him to eliminate one way or another.

When you returned, hands fumbling with the reports you finished on the ride back, you handed them over to the commander before heading straight to your room. Throwing the bag on the bed, you flop down next to it, groaning at the achiness in your shoulders and back. It was a tough mission, but one that was successful nonetheless.

You did your job and that’s what mattered most. While you were suffering a few bruises, scrapes and a shallow wound to your arm, nothing major happened to warrant a trip to the med bay. It was almost a perfect no casualty mission, until one member suffered near fatal wounds from a nearby explosion. It was something that made you freeze for a moment before picking yourself back up and continuing the task at hand.

Heading to the bathroom, you strip off your clothes, letting them pile on the bathroom floor before letting the water run warm for a shower. A bath would be nice, but you wanted to sleep sooner rather than later.

Letting the water embrace your body instantly soothed some of the achiness in your shoulders. It was a comforting feeling, knowing that you were safe within the confines of your quarters. With shaky arms, you scrub your body, feeling the tightness within the muscles as you stretch and tense, hissing in slight pain.

Blood seeped through the wound, something of which stung as the water and suds hit the open cut. Sucking in a breath, you analyse it, pulling at the skin. Shallow and not life threatening; a relieved sigh escaped you.

Minutes pass by, the water turned off and your body dry and clothed as you sit on the edge of the bed, looking down at your hands. With another inhale, you stand, heading to the door. Upon opening it, you freeze.

“What the hell do you want?” You look up at the omnic before you, the tall, brooding figure blocking your exit.

“A greeting would be nice, but I assume you’re too crude for that.” He retorts.

“Excuse me?” Crossing your arms over your chest, you glare up to the white faceplate.

He huffed, head tilting slightly. “I have heard stories.”

“So?”

“So? Is that all you have to say?” His figure gets a little taller as he stands straight.

You squint, feeling the tension in the air. “What are you getting at?”

“I was hoping the stories were wrong, but I stand corrected.”

You smirk, taking a step forward. “Why do you care? You’re just a machine built to follow orders that are thrown to you, no matter who they come from-”

All air got caught in your throat as his hand comes up and grips it tightly, squeezing as he pushes you backwards into your room. The door slams shut behind him and he locks it effortlessly.

“What-” You choke out, feeling your body being pushed backwards onto the bed.

“We are more than machine.” Ramattra growls, his vocaliser low. His body pushes against you, full weight trapping you down against the mattress.

A whimper escapes you as you try to fight back, arms grabbing and hitting the omnic to try and get him off of you. “Get off! What the fuck is wrong with you?”

A sly chuckle escapes the omnic while he watches you squirm. “What is wrong with me? Perhaps, you should rethink your words.”

You glare up, eyes focussing on the red flickering lights on his forehead. A hand travels down your body, pulling and tugging at the shorts you were wearing.

“No- Don’t-” With wide eyes and a panic surging through your body, you continue to push against him, but his weight was too much.

“Oh?” He chuckles once again, one hand keeping you held down on the bed by your throat as the other pulls down the fabric of your shorts and underwear. “Finally realising your mistake?”

His fingers waste no time in entering you, hard digits pushing and scissoring the soft walls inside. The yelps you release only fuelled him more, thrusting his fingers in further.

“St-stop!” Your hands grip onto his metal frame, one final attempt to push him off but to no avail. His hand never leaves your throat as the other violently thrusts into you.

“Someone like you should be punished in every way imaginable.” His vocaliser lowers again, seemingly enjoying the abuse he’s handing out. “Perhaps you should be more mindful of your words.”

“F-fuck you.” You spit, feeling lightheaded as you feel his hand clamp down harder.

Between the whimpers and yelping, Ramattra’s circuits grow warm with the feeling of power that he has over you. The coarse mewls escaping your throat only fuel his rage further, removing his fingers from inside of you before he slips off his privacy plate and throwing it to the side.

Dragging his metallic fingers over his cock, coating it with your juices, he wastes no time in lining himself up. He watches your eyes widen, a smug feeling flowing through his wires as he shoves himself inside of you, eliciting a scream from you. He’s quick to move a hand to your mouth, muffling the cries for help and the screaming for him to stop. Tears prick your eyes, slowly rolling down your cheeks as you violently shake your head to the side.

Hands pushed and pulled, trying to get him to let go, but no matter what strength you could muster out, nothing would work. Your breathing was shallow already, growing harsh as his grip never faltered on your neck and mouth.

When he saw you turning red, eyes rolling back, he leans in close, his voice barely a whisper.

“Scream and you will suffer more than what is happening now.”

With eyes wide with shock, you nod frantically, wanting to breathe. Wanting to live.

He waited for a moment, and when he deemed you worth enough of air, he let you go; both of his hands moving to grab your wrists, pinning you completely on the bed.

The air filled your lungs instantly, a few gasps made your head fuzzy as he adjusted himself, pulling out and snapping his hips back to yours. The metal stung as it connected to your bare skin, his pace was relentless as he kept slamming into you, cock hitting deep inside as he didn’t faulter in speed or strength.

“P-Please… Stop…” You cry out, feeling the bruising grip on your wrists get tighter. Everything hurt, your muscles tightening in your shoulders as your throat scratched with every breath released.

“Not until you have learnt your lesson.” He snarls, moving your wrists up above your head, gripping them with one had as his other grabs at your chest. Rough hand movements pulled and tugged at your skin, grabbing your breasts as he continued to thrust hard. He pinched, listening to your cries that you tried to keep quiet.

Ramattra never slowed, cock hitting deep inside, bruising both the inside and outside of your body. His metal frame creaked slightly, fans whirring quickly to try and cool himself down as he grunts. His optics lock onto your eyes, aperture focusing onto your disgruntled face, eyebrows furrowed in pain, eyes shut tight as you bite your lip, wanting the assault to be over.

The quiet sobs and cries are music to his receptors as his hips snap to yours. He feels your pulse through your wrists as his hand tightens around them.

“Such a pitiful human, but such a good girl for me.” He coos, faceplate hovering above your face as his optics look over you once more before he buries his head into the crook of your neck, feeling the soft hum of your vocals as you whimper. “You are taking me so well. Such a good human… A good pet.” He felt your heartbeat rise suddenly, a chuckle escaping his vocaliser.

Despite the cries, despite the pain, you could feel him tensing. Not just his hands around your wrists, but his entire body.

He felt it too, knowing he was close. Circuits sparked inside, fans whirring quicker as his sensors flared up with many errors. Optics flickered alongside the lights on his forehead as he snaps his hips one final time into you, quickly moving his hand to cover your mouth as you scream out.

His sensors seize up, servos frozen as he temporarily reboots. A warm feeling fills you as you shake your head, nudging his hands away from you as you push his frame back. Panting heavily, with tear stained cheeks you keep pushing before he wakes back up.

“Get the fuck off of me.”

Ramattra chuckles, vocaliser clicking as it resets. “I see you still have not learned anything.” He sits up straight, pulling you back to him by your hips.

“Don’t-”

“Oh, my sweet little thing.” His thumbs dig into the dips of your hips, pushing against the bone, threatening to bruise. His cock rests against your already bruised cunt as he leans down to glare at you.

Ramattra’s optics scan you, noticing the shift in demeanour. He thought he got through to you, but not quite. He sighs, leaning further to your ear as his vocaliser lowers.

“Perhaps another lesson is needed.”

screencapping with ffmpeg

hey friends, long time no write! today i'm gonna explain how to get image sequences (aka screencaps) from any video files using ffmpeg in the command line.

First, if you don't have ffmpeg please go an download from HERE and install it, here's how WINDOWS / MAC and once you're good to go we can start!

i have a windows os so i'm going to explain for that but i don't think it should be more complicated for macs if you know how to work on the command line, under the read more bc i used a lot of images lol

what we need:

a video player to get the proper timestamps we need, i use mpv but any video player will help tbh

make a folder for our screencaps

okay! so i'll be taking caps from a 4k video and i find my timestamps, this is my start (i don't have 4k movies on my computer, so you'll see my kpop boy lmao)

and this is the ending

i would recommend to set the timestamps a second earlier and a second after the video ends so there isn't frames missing if you want a complete scene, deleting caps from a folder is easier than doing the whole process again lol

on the folder your video is while having it selected, click on this icon to copy its path

now i go to the folder i made! in the path bar it should be like this on windows

we click on the blank part and write cmd and hit enter

the command line should open right now

we proceed to write the following command

ffmpeg -ss hh:mm:ss -to hh:mm:ss -i [paste path to the video] -compression_level=0 output_%04d.png

hh:mm:ss is how you imput your timestamp, it's the most accurate way of doing it

output_%04d.png: name the files will have, if you're capping several timestamps from the same video i would change the name output to anything (example part1_%04d.png for scene 1, part2_%04d.png for scene 2 and so on) otherwise ffmpeg will overwrite your caps every time, i know there's probably a workaround but i haven't researched to that point yet, i'll update later!

compression_level=0 : makes the png the highest quality possible, pngs are essentially lossless, but without this command i've found the file size is rather small even if the finished image doesn't have much difference. you could try not putting the command and see if there's a difference for you, the files will just be smaller

Update (240402): my ffmpeg doesn't seem to recognize the command for compression level as it's written here anymore, but fear not! If yours doesn't either it's just a matter of adding a space instead of an equal sign between the command and the 0. It works as it's supposed to!

on your command line should look like this

you hit enter and ffmpeg should start processing, once it's done it'll open a new line for you to keep doing things on that folder, but if you don't want to do anything else just close it. your folder should be filled now with your screencaps

to compare, i capped the same scene with mpv to see if there was any frame drop and i was pleasantly surprised that the amount of caps was basically the same (there wasn't frame dropping! just the regular more frames bc you were a little slow on stopping the process on mpv)

and the size is what mpv usually gives when screencapping too so it was a win for me

HELLO HONKAI STARRAIL PLAYERS !!!

I am a side blog, dedicated to writing two specific rare pairs, ratioyang (Dr. Ratio X Welt Yang), and bible study (Loucha X Sunday), for a friend.

Adding on to this, I will do suggestions/submissions sent to me (anon or not), however they will either be answered in a few minutes, or be answered months later. So, have patience, please :').

My rules for requesting are quite simple,

- No other ship than ratioyang, bible study, sampard or bronle. Anything else I will delete or not do.

- Sfw & Nsfw's are allowed, but you must put warnings first things first. Also, nsfw works will be tagged with the #🪡 tag, while everything else goes to #🎗️ or #🎀, or both.

- You can write long requests, or short requests, I don't mind. However, if it is a bit longer, sometimes I won't add the ask.

- Optionally, you may include what you want me to write about. (Be it headcanons, a short oneshot, a drabble, whatever. If you don't, I'll decide.)

- Finally, include the pairing, genre (fluff, angst, or smut), and some tags, too. (I.e : ratioyang fluff, found family with guinaifen + hook, domestic life, modern au)

And now, some info about admin, (aka me), Hello. I go by 🎀 / 🎗️admin, whichever you get on your keyboard that's easier to address me by. I go by any pronouns, however I prefer he/him and she/her.

The main pairs I do are for ratioyang and bible study, and that's it, there might be occasional sampard/bronle, however there are other blogs that specifically write for them, so there won't be much of them.

This blog is mainly for drabbles and oneshots, stuff that doesn't get posted on ao3, and miscellaneous works I do that are ratioyang/bible study. There will probably never be long series works here, as I'm horrible at doing them.

A Not So Broken Kind Of Love {pt. 2}

I finished this part and it got deleted and I had to rewrite it again *sniff sniff* so I hope it's as good as the first write. This is sort of a filler chapter for now bc the first one was sad and I wanted some fluff for you ❤️ After this I'll def be getting into them healing with one another..ok I won't spoil everything! You were unpacking the boxes in the new apartment you moved into, with the help of your sister Kate. It was really beautiful, the interior pretty much gave you 'folklore by Taylor Swift' vibes, thanks to Kate. You guys had already painted the inside and decide to go for a neutral and green theme. You loved it though, it was both homey and comfortable.

Your therapist suggested you move out of your old home, and you gladly obliged. That space only reminded you of all the negative times in your life, but your new apartment made you feel a lot healthier.

And happier

You were so much happier. Thanks to Kate, thanks to your therapist, thanks to your apartment, and definitely thanks to your 'someone who you weren't sure what to call so everytime you thought about him he'd be your friend who wasn't really a friend and more of a love interest.' Aka Bucky.

"Kate! Do you know where the box with the dishes are?"

"How come these reminded me of you?" You said curiously and you urged him to come inside, him following you in.

"Well the flowers have these little cards next to em at the store that usually say what the flower symbolizes.. and uh these 'Cosmos' represent peace, tranquility and harmony. And well.. seeing as your my peace I thought I'd bring em over to you. Sorry if that sounds stupid or weird I don't really know what-"

You practically tackled this man as you held him so tight and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Of course it not stupid Bucky.. this is so sweet.. you're so sweet. Thank you."

"You're welcome dollface."

"Uh- this is sweet and all but I'm still right here.. unless I should leave." Your sister Kate said, holding a box in her hand.

"R-right.. uhm I should probably get going y/n.. I'll see ya later."

( i am leaning towards the concept that no one in public has seen kenny without the Skeleton Mask on...not sure yet but...hmmm... )

but...of course, kenny is kenny. kenny is playful, loud and rowdy and promiscuous, so out of pocket and the life of the gd party. so the second they are off stage, the mask comes off and kenny says 8000 curse words, starts gyratin & is back to being on their worst behavior.

speaking of their worst behavior, kenny is always doing some fuckshit. theyre constantly on a coke on someones yatcht, in some celebrity, in some music execs pants, in someone's daugther, usually college fangirls, like...every cd intern they've ever had. all quit. bc of kenny. not b/c they scared them, but bc they fell in love with them...

and kenny does NOT do commitments. kenny is like a revolving door. the tabloids reflect this. kenny is in there a lot with different celebs. its a whole mess, tbh. also no one knows how to describe them. ooh~

as a result of being messy, kenny gets into a lot of predicaments, or misses meetings/gets into trouble and raven covers for them...ALOT.

tldr: management is pretty sick of kennys shit and is This Close to getting them kicked out of the band ( like they were doin really sloppy shit ) and ravenstan...as the lead singer/face of the band is pretty much untouchable...so he can get away with a lot more so a lot of the time...raven just Covers kenny to save their ass from gettin kicked/in trouble and says that a lot of the fucked up shit kenny does is...Him.

raven is indisposible, but everyone else can be replaced is the gist.

which is :((( because you know it makes sense for chapter 2-5 Raven of Crimson Dawn to be a coke-fiend, party boy, bad influence, live wire, fight-starting, devil may care celebrity a-hole...but as rm readers and stan stans, know: ravenstan is Gods Sweet Angel who cries 24/7, picks up plants from the farmers market, is very kind to his fans, has hit someone once/broke his hand FOR KENNY, and spends his time otherwise watching anime and not...Lotharioing.

( it is also why kenny more than owed raven the favor of covering him so he could go on his #hate with kyle...which they Did ofc... tbh i wish you guys could have heard the other half of that phone call bc kenny was being so fucking funny and being so unhinged/moaning on the phone to freak ravenstan out...but the griefing, while light hearted, also came from a place of overprotectiveness, kenny was Concerned abt that whole Thing...more on that later...their rela is...interestin. )

Would you stop watching the show if Justin Roiland returned? I don't know. Depends on whether a public statement was involved and how much responsibility he took for his actions (versus playing it off). I can't listen to Marilyn Manson anymore (because Brian Warner is an abusive POS) and that band was formative during my middle + high school years (almost as important to me as NIN and I would mourn that loss if Trent Reznor turned out to be trash). Roiland coming back might ruin the show for me.

Your favourite Rick and Morty quote? Hard to pick but right now it would be: "Nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody's gonna die. Come watch TV." ships that i think are most likely to elope in vegas with an elvis impersonator officiating the wedding: dsoo (dongho x minsoo), hyuntae (hyunjin (ven) x taeseok), and youngseok (youngjoon x minseok)

dsoo: it's predebut, they're being stupid in vegas to celebrate the fact that they finally got the news that they're going to debut EVENTUALLY, so they get married wearing matching hawaiian button ups. dongho 100% still has the emo bangs when this happens.

hyuntae: idk man. they've got the vibes. if sa1nt went on a US tour and stopped in vegas for some reason, these two are absolutely getting married and minsung is the flower girl.

youngseok: ok i'm definitely biased bc i'm currently writing a fic focused on these two but like. i don't even KNOW how to explain it. i can just very clearly picture dae finding it hilarious that his 2 best friends outside of mayhem got married. with an elvis impersonator.

they'd do it for a bet: mindae (minsoo x daehyun), junjae (jun x jaewon) (lost a bet to nari), any pairing of marshmello, kyungyoung (kyunghun x youngjoon)

mindae: do i really need to say more. anyone even jokingly bets money that they won't get vegas married and they are chomping at the bit to prove that person wrong. absolute menaces (i say this affectionately. they probably give manager choi a headache but i love them)

junjae: jun made a bet with nari and lost. the rest is history.

marshmello: girls' night out gone marriage. i literally cannot decide who would be more likely to get married on a bet?? i feel like they're sort of an unstoppable force when they're together and having a good time.

kyungyoung: they are the same age. probably besties. hyuntae 100% used to torment them about being a couple or some shit. minsung bet them 1k that they wouldn't get married and send photos to hyuntae. kyunghun is not a coward so they got vegas married.

vegas married but only bc they are ELOPING (aka i kinda sorta ship these ones. a lot): daejae (daehyun x jaewon), dongsung (dongho x minsung) (I HAD TO IM SORRY), hyuntae again (hyunjin x taeseok)

daejae: listen if they're dating they are IN LOVE. POWER COUPLE OF THE YEAR. DO NOT SEPARATE. so yeah they'd elope in vegas.

dongsung: they'd be the couple that's secretly been together for a decade or some shit they're emotionally married already they probably have rings ready to go and they have no where else to get married.

hyuntae: either they are the best of friends or they're dating idk how else they would've lasted in sa1nt for so long otherwise. they kinda seem like little gremlins but like. there's something going on between them. let them get gay eloped for funsies.

Scrivener 3 – Main Tutorial (Part 2)

I hope you find this guide useful! To enable me to make more of these, and make them available for everyone, please consider supporting me via KoFi! I love sharing my stuff freely and don't want to paywall anything, but I also have to eat – every contribution helps and is greatly appreciated!

This is tutorial 2 (part 2) of my neurodivergence-friendly tutorial series for Scrivener 3. It's intended for people who are new to Scrivener, as well as people who are already familiar with it, as it covers the major features in quite a bit of detail.

Important note: All my tutorials are based on Scrivener for MacOS! Though minor, there are some differences between Scrivener 3 for Windows vs for MacOS, so you may notice a few small discrepancies if you use Scrivener with Windows. Further, all tutorials are based on my own personal workflow, and all screenshots are from my personal files, so please don't distribute those elsewhere. My workflow is not universal (duh), and if you use certain features differently that doesn't mean one of us is doing it wrong. You do you! Lastly, this tutorial originated on Discord, which is probably noticeable in how it's written – I am not changing that, since many people have insisted that this was exactly what made it easier to follow than the official Scrivener tutorial.

Main Tutorial (Part 2)

[Direct continuation from where Part 1 left off.]

Copyholder

Now I've already talked about layout and the Split modes further up, but that's not the end of our layout options in the Editor. Besides Split mode to show two files/scrivenings, you can also use the Copyholder to display notes, a snapshot (we’ll get to that), another scene – whatever. To do that, you right-click on the file you want and go to Open -> in Copyholder. You can change the position of the Copyholder with a right-click into its frame.

Similarly, if you choose Open -> as Quick Reference, the selected file will open in a small, floating window. Many options to have many things open at once – neat shit.

[There are a couple other options for the Editor (including Typewriter mode, Focus, and Composition mode); they are covered in the Extended Tutorial.]

The Inspector

So, finally, all to the right we have my favourite thing: the Inspector, with five tabs. [Reminder at this point that this is just my personal workflow. Ok? Ok.]

Notes

The first tab (outer left icon) is Notes. With Notes selected, up top you see Synopsis. I use this to roughly outline my scene. Sometimes there's no more than a sentence or two in there, in this case now it's a fairly detailed one.

Under that you see the Notes, and you see that not everything is in the same font. I put many things in the notes, the three main ones of which you see in the first image above:

something that'll potentially go into the author's notes when I eventually post the chapter with that scene in it; aka my thoughts while writing, how i felt, something funny, idk — really whatever, just author's notes

shit I wanna remember without having to think about it every time; here, who's in the scene and the age of the three most important characters

in the serif font you see deleted sentences! meaning sometimes while writing I'm like "nah, i wanna say this differently" but I also am not sure how, so instead of deleting the thing outright I cut-paste it into the side notes and keep it. Sometimes it gets used later, sometimes it won't.

Every now and then I'll clear out the side notes, for which (in some projects) I made a dedicated Deleted Passages root-folder to collect it all in. Whenever the side notes get too full, I cut-paste the whole blurb into the deleted passages file for that scene. Though, admittedly, it's quite rare that I keep multiple and organised files of my deleted passages. Usually it's just one huge thing where I never find anything.

Still, I've legit brought back whole long sections of text from this deleted passages log. Like, sometimes I'd bring back up to 700-1000 words that barely needed edit, it just had to go somewhere else and I wasn’t there yet. And I still do that, even though I by now discovered the Snapshot function. We’ll get to that in a bit.

Bookmarks

Moving on to the next Inspector tab, we're not with Notes anymore but with Bookmarks! So, wtf are Bookmarks, how do they work, why the fuck do we care?

In essence, a Bookmark allows you to open linked files in the Inspector. That’s neat because your Editor can stay where you were and you can continue writing, rather than clicking away from your scene there to check your notes — which then means you have to find your spot again once you return. Nobody likes that.

(Yes, you could right-click on your desired internal file to open it in the Copyholder. That’s effort though, plus now you can’t use the Copyholder for something else. Anyway, moving on.)

There are two "types" of bookmarks: Project Bookmarks (PB) and Document Bookmarks (DB) -- yes i'm abbreviating those because I'm lazy. You can easily switch between the two like this.

And because Scrivener is amazing, both of these do exactly what it says on the tin.

Project bookmarks are accessible from everywhere and anywhere in the project. No matter which folder, file, or scrivening you're in, PBs are always there for you, like the kind of reliable person that is too mentally stable to be friends with any of us and brings us tea when we’re cold.

"Okay, great, but why do we need that?"

Well, no matter what you’re writing (thesis, novel etc.) there are probably certain things you’re gonna look up more than once (if you’re anything like me and your memory is as sound as sieve at least). General notes, outlines etc. seem like the obvious choices to be linked as PBs — you’ll likely need them over and over, and a PB lets you access the thing(s) from anywhere quickly. Neat shit.

Document bookmarks on the other hand are specific to the file where you created the bookmark (shocking, right? I’d never have guessed that). So if you bookmark a thing for the third scene in chapter 14, the DB won’t show up anywhere else.

"But V, you just said that we can make things accessible from everywhere, why would we not just do that?"

Right, sure, fair point. Until there’s this side character which is kinda prominent in those two scenes but not really anywhere else and you keep forgetting whether you gave them armour or not, or whether they’re tall or tiny, and where did you say they came from again? Are you sure you want to clog up your project-wide bookmarks with the half-empty character sheet for Obscure-Sidekick #36? Exactly.

Now, though I’m sure it’s already quite obvious from above: What exactly do you actually save as a bookmark?

Internal Bookmarks (IB) are any files from within your Scrivener project that you select over the Binder-menu thingy you see in the image. Those are the notes, the outlines, the character and location sheets, the research you’ve imported — whatever, you could even link another scene that is really closely related to the one you’re working on with a DB.

External Bookmarks (EB) are the logical counterpart of IBs, meaning anything that isn’t in your Scrivener project. Is there this one website you always inevitably open while writing? Bookmark it.

EBs also include External File Bookmarks which allows you to link a file from your computer to keep it on hand; like the PDF of that one Review article that covers the entire theory for your thesis and you’re tired of going back and forth while trying to paraphrase.

Now those of you who paid attention saw a thing named Matching Text. The way this works is that it’ll compare the text of the doc you’re currently in with the text in all the bookmarks and show you any matching text. I’ll admit I have not yet found a good use for this, except if you’re writing a research paper and wanna check that your paraphrasing holds up. I’m sure there’s a point to it and it’ll reveal itself eventually – until then we'll gloss over this here.

Metadata

Moving on from Bookmarks, we go one further to the right to the little tag icon: There we have General Metadata, Custom Metadata, and Keywords.

General Metadata is literally just that; ordinary metadata. Boring, moving on.

The only preset that I saw for Custom Metadata is “Event Start Date” – I added Event End Date myself by clicking on the three little dots which opens the settings. You can pick your date format (short, long, full, including time, custom etc.) and there are three other types of metadata (Text, Checkbox, List) that I haven’t explored yet.

I assume if you have something that can either be true or untrue for a scene a checkbox would make sense.

Keywords are really quite simple: To set it up, you either use the menu bar (Project) or click on the three little dots in the Keywords field and choose Show Project Keywords. Now in the beginning that’s obviously empty – so you fill it with ... well, with whatever you want!

I sorted mine by character and location, but you do what you need for your project. The left little plus is to add a keyword on the same level (sibling), the one to the right of it creates a sub-keyword (child), and the minus to the right of that deletes whatever is selected.

You can shift the keywords around as much as you like, can drag and drop them into each other to make them child-keywords etc. Though personally I’d create it as linearly as possible because then it makes a pretty rainbow by default! Whiii!! Of course you can also change the colours so… ANYWAYS

To add a keyword to a file (folder, scene, whatever), you either open the Project Keywords and drag-and-drop (works with multiple at once!) or you click on the three little dots again and choose your tag you wanna add.

Now why is this cool? It’s cool because a) if you go into the Project Keywords, select one and then click the little magnifying glass (bottom right), it’ll show you all the files/folders that have that Keyword in the Binder (neat shit), and b) COLOURS!

Corkboard view, for example, looks like this:

You can also display the actual text of the tags, I chose to have them as colour chips. You can pick and choose what is displayed in the outline; word count, progress, synopsis etc. Further, Outline view also gives you the option to display any Custom Metadata you made.

Alright! So for anyone who seems confused as to why my tumbler is now blank is because THIS LOVELY IDIOT! (Aka, Me) Had deleted my post because I thought I was getting a new phone and don't know how tumbler let's you relog into your account! Turns out there IS a way to relog in and I'm now starting from scratch! But let's get a few things out of the way~!

First!

The same rules apply! Meaning that if you're a minor DO. NOT. INTERACT. If you do then it was you're own decisions, not mine. I cannot stop you but I can warn you. So please do not interact and scurry off~~~~!!!!!!

Second!

This is going to be a oneshot/request page, this means I'll take request for oneshots with requested characters and even do headcannon Page's on subjects for characters you request. Here's a example! Someone request a page over a fandom or character(s) and them in different scenarios/reactions to things! That type of deal! (I'll make a post specifically for request later that has the rules and what can or can't be in them)

I'm probably going do specific fandoms because I don't know that many 😅 (E: markiplier egos, slashers, horror games, john doe, your boyfriend, mha, ect. . .) Yeeeeaaaahhhh I'm probably gonna do more egos than others..... BUT I'll try my best to do fandoms or characters I don't know! So no need to worry about me doing only select few!

I have no certain schedule for writing! I update when I can and school will take up most of my time (it's a BI-) and i have another account on wattpad which I'm trying to update with a book that some may like! (It's a who killed markiplier book) but I'll update when I can and even try squeezing some time at school!

Pie in the Sky

Has it really been over a year since my last post?? Yet here we are again. It always has to be when I've moved on with my feelings, when I feel like I can go finally go days or weeks without even thinking about it wondering.

His "bestie" O was emailing him and telling him how she feels like emotionally cheating on her husband and he was trying his best to get in on that boat, telling her how someone else has tried to do that to him but he immediately deleted it (lies) and how he's never opened up to someone like this before, and she just wasn't taking the bait. I told him how those emails hurt my feelings and he swore up and down that that part of his life was over. Then I emailed O myself to tell her the full story and she said he's like a brother and not to worry, he's never cheated on me (even though I literally just told her that he had).

Not 4 days later, he goes to eat lunch with "Juan", who was actually his "sister" E and apparently they purchased about $50 worth of Fansly porn together and watched it who knows where. I know he immediately went in and took a shower, but at least he brought me to go food 😒 They talked more about it the next day, aka Deep Throat Thursday, and also how he found some hot porn that reminded him of the picture she sent him in December.

I have the strangest mixed feeling of anger and joy. My heart is galloping, yet I feel peace. I sigh and sigh and sigh, yet there is justice on the horizon, an end. I will put my foot down, I will be a warrior unto myself. Future Dest is here for us! It still makes no sense to me, but I don't think he will be able or willing to explain any time soon.

The other day, between these two events, I caught the scent that I associate with God. It could have easily been a neighbor's cologne (although I didn't see anyone outside) but either way, it's still like the cardinal to me. Even if it's a myth, it's a myth that still helps me remember. I felt like the winds were changing. I thought it was to bring us closer together, but instead I see that it could easily be pulling us apart.

I feel like everything I hear is full of double meaning. I don't know which way it will go once we separate, whether our paths will come together again or keep growing further apart. Everything my heart is telling me is that it's both things.

I've been surprisingly good at compartmentalizing it. I feel like I am treating him no differently. I am waiting until the end of the month, which feels torturously long, but then I remind myself that it will all be over before I can even say much. I'm probably going to be a pacing nervous wreck before then, but what a relief it will be to move on. To stand up for myself. Maybe I'll just sing "Brave" at the top of my lungs to hype myself as needed.
