Fushimi discovering the sense of ease of using weighed blankets, even if he doesn't sleep much he can just lie in bed feeling just little bit calmer because of them. One day he wakes up to get coffee but he's still half asleep and takes his blanket with him, maybe its like his rare day off so he's woken up late and the squad just get to see him drowsily waddle around to get some canned coffee while wrapped up in his blanket and having it over his head like a hood.

Fushimi looking so cute and comfy with his blanket around his head. I could see Fushimi enjoying a good weighted blanket, like maybe Munakata gifts him one because Fushimi looks perpetually sleep-deprived and Munakata has heard such things can be good for relaxation. Fushimi’s initially not interested, it feels too heavy and it’s probably sweltering underneath and besides he doesn’t trust gifts from Captain (at least it wasn’t a puzzle of his face this time). One evening it’s fairly cold though and Fushimi doesn’t want to walk all the way down the hall and out of the dorms to request an extra blanket so he just gives in and grabs the weighted blanket. It turns out to be really comfy and just relaxing, like having that weight on him doesn’t feel crushing the way he thought it would, it’s more of a calming safe feeling. After that he uses the blanket fairly often, sometimes it’s nice even to just lie there with the blanket over him even when he can’t sleep. He probably stays up late some nights on his computer with the blanket over his head and when he does finally go to sleep he just drags it along still draped over him.

One morning he’s finally gotten a day off after like a week of overwork and he’s still drowsy even when he gets up. Fushimi dimly thinks he should at least get some coffee and he just slides out of bed, it’s a little cold out and he doesn’t even think much about it as he wraps his blanket around him. Maybe there was a power outage the night before too (the only reason Fushimi got to bed reasonably on time), he doesn’t realize the clock on his desk is wrong and hasn’t even bothered to check his PDA so Fushimi assumes it’s early and no one else will be up yet. The squad however are all awake and finishing breakfast when this sentient blanket comes waddling into the kitchen, Doumyouji immediately jumps back like it’s a monster. The ‘monster’ gives a quiet sleepy tongue click and everyone realizes that this is Fushimi wrapped in a comfy blanket here to get the coffee that will wake him up and make him realize that they all saw him this way and then he’ll kill them all. Akiyama quietly swaps out the coffee with decaf and they all stand to the side as Fushimi gets his coffee, downs it in one gulp and then waddles back to his room to go back to bed. The squad are all holding their breath until his door closes and they all agree not to mention that they saw anything (but also Fushimi-san looked very cute in his little blanket and someone should have taken a picture).
