i saw a post that explained well why i hate this: deku's outlook is now like kacchan's at the beginning. whereas before he saw people like kacchan, aizawa & shoto as heroes, strong & admirable, now he looks down on them (regardless of intent), invalidates their decision to participate and only sees them as useless and bloody. now kacchan's the kid throwing a notebook at a villain and deku's the one dismissing him (see: kacchan's sacrifice). i guess the speech from post-ground beta 2 is forgotten

also like seriously fuck the narrative, fuck all might and tbh fuck deku too lol kacchan kept their stupid fucking useless secret, helped deku train for months on end while knowing deku getting stronger and dominating 7 entire effing quirks inevitably meant kacchan never would even have the slightest chance to accomplish any of his dreams, worried his mind off about deku (all might knows, not like he gives a fuck), mounted strategies to prevent deku from battling alone, sacrificed himself (cont)

(contd) got out of his literal coma bed marching to see deku while still bleeding from the mouth, was dismissed by everyone, and still nothing at all. his hero name reveal was treated like a fucking joke, his sacrifice amounted to nothing by the stellar narrative, he was off paneled for literally anything that wasn't a stupid gag, and now he's thrown aside like garbage. hero name after all might: all might doesn't care. all might in the room hearing the ruckus: doesn't care, but ida & co (cont)

(contd) can see him. spent months helping deku & all might figure out the ofa stuff, with the most productive contributions: no one cares. so to have not only deku dismiss him like this (he's now a useless victim, not a hero who decides to collaborate, help, and save), but also all might, who kacchan also did all of this for, and who told them THEY, TOGETHER, would be the best winning to save and whatever, so sucks. all might no longer has any use for bakugo, so he's ignored and thrown aside.

(last ask abt this i swear) & ALL OF THIS comes after kacchan's plot has been reduced to absolutetely nothing but deku to the point he has spent literal years of this manga without even interacting with kiri or kami. at least have kiri in his room when he woke up but nope, not even that, kiri's with shoto for some reason bc we have to make a gag out of kacchan's worry and he can't have meaningful interactions. no battles, no wins, no friends. just a side char in the ofa plot, now not even that

anon, no offense (because you seem polite enough in spite of this ask getting rather heated), but I disagree with literally every single point in this ask. literally every last one. this is basically all of my least favorite discourse bundled into a single post. I don't particularly enjoy reading "fuck All Might and Deku" in my inbox first thing in the morning, and I don't like reading paragraphs of hyperbolic negativity about Kacchan being shortchanged because the story doesn't revolve around him every single moment, and we haven't yet -- yet, because the story is still very much ongoing -- gotten to the narrative payoff for things like his hero name and his reunion with Deku. these are opinions you're more than welcome to post about on your own blog, anon. but to be frank, I'm not keen on spending a ton of mental energy trying to change your mind on my own blog when I'd much rather be discussing other things about the chapter and about the series. so yeah, my apologies, but I'm just going to leave it at that.

Rika, like, they went HARD with trying to redeem her. TOO hard. It was basically forced and it made me hate her more, just from the fact that Cheritz is trying this hard. I don't hate V as much because they don't try to redeem him as hard. It's like normal you know, you can choose whether you forgive him or not, it's not something like you have to forgive him or else some 5 year old guilt trip shit happens.

I also just like V more because he's actually nice. Like genuinely a nice person. He tries to help Rika, she refuses, they get into an argument, she go pokey pokey V’s eyes now brokey, he helped us escape (I vaguely know what happens in V’s route but I played Saeran’s route three times now, Jumin 4 (doing 5 rn), so I know what happens in saerans route a lot, and i also played his after ending twice.) but in saerans route he decided he can't live without Rika because of this soulmate shit they got going on and Rika in the end is like “i'm gonna turn my sun into ashes” or some shit like that. Emphasis on “my”.

I swear V’s after ending judge route. It's a mess. I could tell you if you want, you probably don't want to get that damn ending yourself anyway. It's worse than most wattpad guilt trip stories like skdbk please why???

It seems common that people would get yoosung when going for Zen. You just can't be mean to yoosung, but you have to at least onceif you want Zen. It's too easy to get yoosung hearts.

okay here are some random ass headcanons bc THANK YOU FOR INDULGING ME!!! I LOVE TALKING ABT MY AUS!!!!

aro aizawa

(that’s my standard for all my aus but like Extra Aro here bc inko is demi and reassures her little brother he’s not broken)

inko is eight years older than aizawa, they’re half siblings. inko’s parents had divorced when she was only four, and her father met shouta’s mother when she’s six.

midoriya is inko’s mother’s name and the name she goes by. shouta goes by their father’s name aizawa. inko’s mother has joint custody of inko so unfortunately for shouta she’s not always around at home

this isn’t the best thing for shouta bc their parents are kiiiind of neglectful, so inko ends up looking after shouta much more than she should but it means they’re much much closer.

inko is the one who inspires shouta to be a hero, mostly because he wants to protect his sister like she’s protected him.

bc shouta’s parents suck, inko ends up taking him back to her mother’s house a lot to the point where mrs midoriya is more of a mother than his own. in shouta’s last year of middle school mrs midoriya threatens legal action against shouta’s neglectful parents unless shouta can be adopted by mrs midoriya. he moves in p much the same day.

when shouta is thirteen inko marries her boyfriend of several years, hisashi. shouta is the one who walks her down the aisle, and instead of having a maid of honor, shouta’s her best man.

inko’s mother dies when shouta is seventeen, so shouta ends up having to move into inko’s place. this doesn’t really end all that well considering it’s a small two bedroom flat that has a two year old, and shouta and hisashi haven’t always gotten along. shouta ends up having to sleep in the living room on the couch, or on a futon in izuku’s room.

this....makes things tense. shouta doesn’t hide his distaste of hisashi, considering the man isn’t the best husband. he leaves the housework and raising izuku to inko even though she also works just the same as him. shouta thinks that inko deserves better and inko thinks hisashi’s behavior doesn’t justify a divorce.

that means when shouta graduates and turns eighteen he moves out so he doesn’t actively destroy inko’s marriage and create a bad home environment for izuku to live in. he still babysits as much as needed and takes izuku for days out, although contact between him and inko have become a lot less frequent than it once was

hisashi gets a promotion with a relocation to america, he wants inko and izuku to come with. but inko doesn’t want to uproot their entire life for someone who doesn’t do anything to help the family, so she stays in japan.

inko and hisashi officially get a divorce only a year later when izuku is deemed quirkless. the last straw is when hisashi says smth cruel about izuku’s quirklessness and inko realises that things just won’t work out.

things don’t immediately get fixed between inko and shouta, they were never bad just...terse. but shouta is just relieved that the situation is over, so after a long talk things relax and they start talking more often.

at one point, shouta moves into an apartment in the same block as the midoriyas. they’re not on the same floor but with how close they are they might as well be living with each other for how often they’re at each others places. even though they’re in the same building, izuku has a room in shouta’s apartment that he sleeps at occasionally when he’s too tired to go like three floors up.

izuku has a bad habit of leaving his homework at shouta’s place, enough so that at one point shouta accidentally ends up taking one of izuku’s essays with him to ua because it managed to get in shouta’s marking

at some point shouta convinces inko to let izuku to start martial arts, thinking it would be good for him (izuku is immediately enthusiastic bc even though he’s too young for Hero Training this is the next best thing)

when izuku is in his first year of middle school bakugou pushes izuku too far in his bullying and izuku begs shouta to train him to be a hero.

shouta is understandably concerned bc he doesn’t understand where the sudden desperation is coming from but doesn’t push too hard to find out. he starts the training slowly, but one on one training does start.

izuku tries the hero exam quirkless. he doesn’t get many villain points (7 total actually) but he manages to pass with the additional 36 rescue points for a total of 43. he gets put into 1-a immediately.

and m*neta is replaced by shinsou because shinsou is a Good Boy who also has the hero rescue urge. but he only just manages to get in by the skin of teeth with the lowest score in the hero course. this is a v sore subject w him because he thinks the exam is super biased

(it’s a point where izuku, shinsou and aizawa bond over as they complain at length the bias that ua have for flashy quirks)

at first they don’t really broadcast their relation. it’s not exactly a secret it’s just izuku doesn’t want his hard work to be ignored and shouta doesn’t want to give izuku special treatment. so they’re just sensei and problem child, unless they’re outside ua.

but!!! with izuku and bakugou in the same class with shouta as their teacher....things are gonna come out.

shouta finds out bakugou bullied izuku for years after a disasterous exercise in which bakugou goes too far. he’s almost expelled but instead is transferred to 1-b after a month of suspension.

anyways when p much everyone in 1-a knows their relation, they still call each other sensei and problem child but they’re a lot more open with affection. the class think it’s cute as fuck.

and consider: in the dorms inko gets a job at ua in administration so she ends up on campus a lot, so the students start to see a lot more of the domestic side of the midoriya-aizawa family and they think it’s adorable

also izuku grows up wanting to be an underground hero bc even tho he fucking LOVES all might, his ultimate favourite hero is eraserhead because of how much he loves his uncle 💛💛💛

so like. consider a universe where like. no one knows izuku is quirkless outside of his class so the league are like: “fuck that midoriya kid’s annoying, what the hell is his quirk?” “idk man” “hey brat what’s your quirk?” “its called vibe check” “what’s it do—” “VIBE CHECK!!” *sucker punch*

& izuku maybs has some kind of capture weapon inspired by eraserhead but uniquely his own. like idk bracers that behave like his scarf so izuku can still pull and wrap around others, but he’s also proficient in other weaponry like bo staffs and escrima sticks

knowing me i’d even toss in some shinsou bonding where izuku shows him all the good things about underground heroes. shouta pretty much adopts shinsou, so now he’s izuku’s cousin. they’re the underground duo in 1-a and are almost undefeated at stealth and strategy (a team that’s only rivaled by hagakure and yaoyorozu).

everyone shut the fuck up and CONSIDER trans girl iida

she supposes she always knew unconsciously that there was something different about her but she never rlly put much thought into it until some ppl in the class come out as trans* (like aoyama’s genderfluid, tokoyami’s a demiboy, nd tsu and jirou are trans girls)

and as class rep, but also (and arguably more importantly) their friends, iida wants to make sure she can make them as comfortable as possible abt coming out so she does some research nd stuff. like she knew trans people existed and were valid nd such before but she wanted to get more than just the basic facts

and shes happy for her friends! shes glad they trusted their class enough to tell them, shes glad she can be there for them. but she also notices that she feels rlly...weird? and she keeps doing research just because.......its interesting. but she doesnt know why she finds it so interesting?? and she gets kinda insecure abt that

so she keeps diggin into it and reads posts that trans ppl have made abt their experiences and just classic shitposts nd all that. she thinks the community is great!! and also she finds some fresh wholesome memes to share w her friends so its all the better. right?

but eventually she finds a community of trans girls specifically and she just absolutely COMBS through that. reads every single post there that she can find. but coincidentally she also feels even more insecure now bc shes starting to unconsciously question her gender nd stuff and lets be real folks. an identity crisis is not fun

couple this with the fact that she doesnt experience the traditional dysphoria(tm) that other trans girls seem to universally share, iida gets rlly down abt it. nd it gets to the point she rlly raaaaags on herself for still lookin thro these posts nd stuff and still subtly questioning herself and shes just rlly unhappy at the time :[

nd she doesnt wanna like make tsu or jirou uncomfortable so she doesnt wanna ask them abt it but shes so confused nd frankly hurt and she doesnt know what going oooonnnn with herself

so shes just in this complete funk for a while nd it starts to affect her grades and performance in training. her friends know smths up but iida doesnt know how to even explain how shes feeling so its not necessarily that she doesnt WANT to go to her friends but she literally does not know how to. anyway eventually aizawa keeps her after class and is like “ok iida smths up im gonna call tensei if u dont talk to me”

iida feels absolute HORROR at the prospect of tensei somehow finding out abt this bc oh shit what if he doesnt want her carrying on the name of ingenium anymore??? what if he thinks shes a freak??? what if he thinks shes not really a girl and shes just faking it to be special?? what if- and oh shit thats the first time iida rlly consciously thought to herself “im a girl but what if others dont think i am?”

so she kinda bursts into tears and aizawa internally is like “oh jesus what the fuck” but externally hes like “iida?? r u ok?? was it something i said?? oh fuu- is something wrong with tensei??” and iida just kinda speaks thro her cries like “no nothings wrong with tensei something’s wrong with me” and ill be real folks its real sad girl hours for a bit

anyway iida doesnt rlly elaborate much beyond that bc shes so ashamed and embarrassed but aizawa is like “u’ve gotta talk to someone iida ur friends r worried and frankly i am as well” and iida eventually promises to talk to someone

soo she comes to terms that since she so confused it would be best to ask tsu and jirou abt it even if shes,,,,so v concerned,,,abt making them uncomfortable. but she manages to convince herself that she rlly does need some guidance here and better to ask ppl who know her than ask on the internet sooo

thankfully while iida is working up the courage to ask tsu and jirou to talk, she finds posts derailing terf and truscum shit so she feels. a lot lot better abt everything but particularly the lack of any intense dysphoria she had after reading stuff like that, esp the more verified(tm) articles from the more verified(tm) authors (like doctors and psychoneurologists and such)

so she figures out how she wants to word her questions nd asks tsu nd jirou to meet up. tsu nd jirou agree right away bc all of class 1-a is worried abt their class rep at this point :[ so theyre happy shes finally reaching out

iida is kinda a disaster when tryin to talk but she gets her point across. like “uhh this is a rlly bad way to ask but how did u guys know u were,,,trans?” nd tsu immediately catches on but jirou is only a lil suspicious until further into the conversation

anyway eventually jirou catches on the same as tsu and thats when tsu asks “iida do u think ur trans??”

nd iida is sooooooooo tired of feeling ashamed bc damn. she does think shes trans! she does. she shouldnt feel guilty for how she feels she cant help that. so after takin a moment to steel herself she says “yea” as confidently as one can in the situation

tsu nd jirou r immediately supportive nd ask iida for more details abt how shes feeling nd iida is just,,,so happy,, since shes already on an honesty streak that afternoon, shes able to roughly get her wack emotions into words nd tsu and jirou are like “yea thats valid ur valid iida. it doesnt matter if u dont have the trademark dysphoria or that u didnt know until later in life like ur still young. u say ur a girl, ur a girl” iida cries but only a bit bc damn months of agonizing over this. we stan one trans girl trio.........

anyway tsu and jirou ask her how she wants to move forward i.e. transitioning or telling anyone, and iida hadnt even considered transitioning before bc it felt so out of reach but shes absolutely ECSTATIC at the thought of bein able to look more feminine and it Shows. tsu and jirou r like “ok mood we were like that too right before startin estrogen”

so the first unofficial trans girl trio club meeting ends w tsu and jirou promising to help iida ask recovery girl abt hormones and iida sayin she doesnt want to come out just yet to the class/anyone else in general and tsu and jirou respectin that. i love them yall

anyway after a few months, iida is ready to try hormone treatment so tsu and jirou help her ask recovery girl for a meeting nd r moral support for her while they go thro the process of like figuring out what dosage she should start w/, how long should she take it, when a check up appointment should be, if recovery girl should tell iida’s parents yet or nah, all that stuff. anyway after that, recovery girl gets her started on hormone treatment which iida is SUPER EXCITED abt and tsu and jirou tell her stories abt when they first started estrogen and AHHH I LOVE MY GIRLS SO MUCH FUCK

anyway eventually after some support from tsu and jirou via the unofficial trans girl club meetings and getting back on her feet confidence-wise, iida comes out to the class :,,,]]] theyre all super supportive and iida cries just a bit. tsu and jirou r so proud of her. aizawa is just glad his problem child #9 is feeling better

ashido and yaoyorozu get together and take iida shopping so she can have more feminine clothes which iida has a lot of fun w......shes never been necessarily big on shopping before (even if she is a part of the rich kid’s club lmao) but this trip is so EXCITING and ashido and momo r so happy for her and so ESCATIC to help her find some clothes and just oh my heart.......

the girls also have a sleepover during which they indoctrinate iida on all things traditionally feminine like makeup nd hair so that she knows the basics should she ever wanna mess arnd with that stuff. but also they just have fun doin normal things and just include iida in on being one of the gals nd iida is,,,so happy. tsu and jirou in particular r arnd her the whole night and wow my uwus they own them the unofficial trans girl club owns my uwus-

anyway so coming out and being accepted and transitioning is going so much better than iida thought it would be. she feels so safe and happy im crying.....anyway eventually some time later iida also gets permission to visit her family during a long weekend/short holiday w/e. nd while there she shakily but steadily comes out to her fam ofc her parents r so proud (her mom’s like ‘’ive always wanted a daughter yes!!! ily tenya’’) and tensei loves her all the same nd she cries a lil bit bc damn,,,,,,shes been fearing the exact opposite reaction for months

specifically she talks to tensei abt it for a little while and mentions her particular fears abt not being good enough to carry on the name “ingenium” nd he smiles at her nd is like “i would rather no one else but my little sister to carry on the name of ingenium” and bruh shes absolutely floored

nd yea. midoriya and uraraka absolutely love love love iida shes still their absolute fav. she joins the unofficial class 1-a trans* club as well as accidentally forms the unofficial class 1-a trans girl club. we love her,,,,

when it comes to appearance, he doesn’t really care - insofar as physical attraction isn’t necessary to him in a romantic relationship. there’s def stuff that gets him going, things he appreciates that can cause a stifled smoulder in his gut – but an s/o is there for love, in his book.

but, since we are here in the category ‘appearance’,..

it’s in details. the rounded curve of a shoulder as they twist to deal with an incoming punch; that split second when the little ‘v’ from shoulder to pectoral draws tight and ready, just before that sight is stolen as they move on – this readiness to deal with hardship. the solid shove of their back into rubble to keep it off a civilian; resolve and stubborn ability and compassion all in one.fingers carding through hair for it to be pulled out of their face, tied up or just flicked away. focus in the lines of an expression as they pick out what groceries that suit their dinner plans, or any plans at all. the way they make decisions and the way- oh, wait… that’s personality.

looks like aizawa’s more focussed on personality than appearance anyway, if it’s supposed to be attractive.

objectively, he can appreciate a fine pair of calves (fine-tuned by lots of running), or the long sweep of someone’s hair (not very practical, but if they’re able to deal with it then it’ll do). but he doesn’t really prefer anything.

except cats. cats are always good and loved unconditionally. i mean, you have to be a seriously vicious cat for aizawa not to love you.

aizawa loves when people are socially and emotionally competent (because he’s not), because it makes things go more smoothly. look at him and go ‘you’re not an asshole, you just don’t like to talk and have Strong Opinions’ and let him sleep.that said he can definitely develop a strong attraction to someone as ‘no.’ as he is.

protectiveness and compassion. you don’t have to be a hero or go as far as he does, but he needs someone who understands his deep-seated need to nurture and protect. interesting convos can be had with ppl who feel differently, but he wants understanding in his rom relationships.

wants to just be able to sit and cuddle (cat is not optional cat is Needed), and just. stare out into the distance for a while without letting the world be as much of a bother.

mutual comfort and compassion, support, respect, and a lot of room for all involved personalities.the mutual part is highkey, because as much as aizawa has like. the dregs of energy lmao – he is all about that nurturing life. he can’t be in a relationship with someone he’s not allowed to care about actively. if you don’t want a mutually supportive and strong bond that goes ‘yeah you’re at your worst now, that’s okay. i’m gonna be at my worst like next week’s wednesday prob lmao’, then aizawa doesn’t want you.

he absolutely does love prettiness, but it doesn’t… draw him in. he thought for the longest time that his type was long legs, short skirts, sweet lips – then aizawa grew into his stubble and oh jesus fuck-

i’m not sure hizashi is into ladies at all on levels other than platonic and aesthetic, but he doesn’t consider it ever so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who needs labels anyway.

he likes ‘em edgy. good lord let’s be real - hizashi loves dat edge. scruffiness, angular, dark hair, dark clothes, the contrast between pale skin and dark hair, some kinda non-conformist hairdo ( which, for dudes, can be as simple as long ).executive goth? punkgoth? casual goth?

everyone talks abt mitsuki but what do you think abt the dad? i’m honestly not sure what to think of him. it seems like kacchan and his mother’s arguing in common in the house and that Masura tries to diffuse(get it) the yelling but fails.

ok so i have a Lot of stuff to say abt masaru.

i haven’t been able to get to my meta abt the bakugo household dynamics and how they impacted katsuki yet (i rlly need to), but to oversimplify things this is basically how i see their dynamic:

masaru –> katsuki –> mitsuki.

mitsuki holds power over katsuki, and they both hold power over masaru.

the reason, put simply, is bc he’s clearly very timid–or at the least non-aggressive/assertive. in either case, he fails to mediate/diffuse conflict bc of it, and in a household where your ability to control conflict with assertion determines your position in its hierarchy, that’s,,,not good.

in other words: essentially, i see masaru as a doormat.

and it’s not good.

the thing that i think people don’t realize abt katsuki’s parents is that they aren’t bad for him bc they have bad intentions, or are “abusive”, they’re bad for him simply because their actual personalities are that which will perpetuate his issues in the role of parents.

to oversimplify again: bakugo ended up as bad as he was, largely, bc he was never given adequate discipline (there are other factors, but this is a big, big one that is too often overlooked).

the problem with his mom is that she’s too aggressive. she doesn’t discipline him, she fights his fire with her fire in order to stifle his and put it out. i’ll save the nitty-gritty of how and why for my meta, but it’s not hard to understand that this not only won’t have the desired affect on katsuki, it’s also like pouring gasoline on his fire. katsuki’s fire doesn’t need to be put out, it needs to be contained–given a place where it can burn as much as it wants but still with clear boundaries (aka, rules that don’t smother his sense of freedom and autonomy).

obviously, everyone notices this about his mom, one way or another. a lot of people who see its affect on him blame her for the bulk of his issues, and while i am of the opinion she’s the more crucial factor between his parents, his dad isn’t much better. frankly, he’s almost worse.

bc masaru is unable to stand up to katsuki, due to katsuki’s assertiveness and his lack of it.

realistically in a household like this with a kid like katsuki, katsuki would probably take his anger out on his dad, since his dad doesn’t stand his ground (either at all or well) and bc of how his mom treats him (which leads to him feeling as though he has no control). however, while i do think katsuki does this, i don’t think it’s as bad as it would be irl, bc i have doubts abt hori putting that potent and dysfunctional of a dynamic in a family and not highlighting it more (like with todoroki, for example).

so, in canon, i’m pretty sure that masaru’s issue is just that he can’t stand up to katsuki. which, since katsuki formulates respect around how well others measure up to him, means that katsuki has no respect for him. in fact, his dad’s lack of assertiveness probably pisses him off just as much as his mom’s over-assertiveness.

so, essentially, where his mom gives too much, his dad gives none at all, which is just as bad.

but, you can’t condemn him for it, as it’s just his personality. the same to mitsuki. the impact is very negative and very important to consider, but it’s not made intentionally. mitsuki and masaru honestly just have no idea how to properly parent katsuki, and it’s taken it’s toll, unfortunately. but that doesn’t mean they don’t love him, or should be labeled “abusive”, at least in my book.

(this is all also why aizawa is so incredibly, fiercely important for katsuki, since he strikes the balance between mitsuki and masaru.)

look forward to seeing how this impacts their relationships in the meta tho bc oh boi this family is a Mess.

anyway now that ive been in the fandom for a bit i think its time i called myself out and say that i. Love shiniida

hear me out. neutral good, disaster bi iida with true neutral, functional gay shinsou? we stan.

like just consider for a second. shinsou goes to talk with midoriya to get some closure abt their fight in the sports festival and obv talking to midoriya means having to be near his two besties iida and uraraka

anyway midoriya draws shinsou in like the sun he is and so he ends up kinda friends with iida and uraraka as well. along the line they become full-fledged friends esp when he starts doing extra training w them in addition to the training hes gettin from aizawa so he can “”keep up with you hero course nerds”” (in his own words)

anyway so he starts hangin out with the izucrew more and consequently. iida.

iida is the mom/dad friend (depends on his mood that day which one he is) so he usually organizes some hangouts that r also study groups. and now that shinsou is his friend, iida invites him as well

im thinkin eventually iida and shinsou figure out that iida has a strong suit in math but is weak in language, but shinsou is vice versa, so they decide to arrange extra study sessions so they can get the extra tutoring they feel they need

and finally,,,,the pining™ begins

im honestly not quite sure How they fall for each other or how long it would take buuuuuuut……,.,.

iida would definitely admire shinsou’s drive and determination and i feel he’d be rlly charmed by him once he got passed shinsou’s distant, kinda hostile first impression. like once he got passed shinsou’s kinda defenses and saw the tired, funky dude he is that loves cats and sweaters, iida’s poor bi heart wouldnt stand a chance, not even a second. iida would definitely think shinsou’s love for cats/all things cute is adorable. also i think iida would be exasperated w shinsou’s hair but like in the Fondest Way possible. at first he’s like “shinsou u gotta try to brush ur hair!” and shinsou is like “u can try it wont do anything” and hes right it Doesnt. but eventually the messy style grows on iida and he finds he wants to run his hands thro it,,,also iida at first kinda doesnt get shinsou’s sense of humor but he eventually learns to love it

shinsou on the other hand would be softly disgruntled abt how iida cares for him with what i call the Aggressive Affection. cause iida is just like “shinsou! its past 12 am! i would advise you get some rest now” and he wont stop badgering him until shinsou at least turns off his phone and like “shinsou! i made u breakfast bc u slept in late! u can eat it while we walk to class together!” and hands him some cute lil breakfast thing that keeps shinsou’s hands warm while they walk in the morning air. and at first shinsou is like “bruh” but eventually knowing that iida cares so much makes him feel all warm inside,,,,,, and shinsou Would 100 percent find iida’s chopping motions and general gestures he makes when he talks Adorable As Fuck. and he thinks its sweet that iida cares so much abt helpin him academically as well as heroically

anyway i think shinsou would realize his feelings first bc iida is,,,a disaster,,,and he would freak the fuck out becuz oh shit thats quite the distraction from becoming a hero student

iida notices when shinsou starts to avoid him and he gets really sad :[ and it rlly starts to bother him so he tries asking shinsou what he did wrong but shinsou is always in a flustered panic and its like “OHHH LOOK AT THE TIME GOT,,,GENERAL DEPARTMENT THINGS TO DO,,,,GOTTA GO BYE IIDA” so when asking shinsou doesnt work iida tries to ask his friends if they can think of anything but theyre just as confused as he is bc they didnt even realize shinsou was distancing himself. this just makes iida feel even worse bc that means its Just Him that shinsou’s avoiding so its Clear that he did do smth wrong

eventually he calls tensei abt it and tensei kinda calms him down abt it thank you tensei

meanwhile aizawa is like “what,,,is wrong with my child” bc hes not dumb hes observant as hell and he knows shinsou’s been acting kinda skittish lately esp during training so eventually after training one day aizawa sits him down and is like “im not letting u leave until u tell me why ur so freaked out lately” shinsou tries to fight to escape but aizawa is a Pro Hero and shinsou has only been training for a couple months now so he doesnt make it lmfao rip eventually shinsou gets out that he has a crush (how embarrassing poor guy probably wanted to spontaneously combust when he admitted it) and that he doesnt know what to do with it and aizawa is just like “wow mood”

no but really aizawa calls up mic and is like “hi yes hello ur the distinguished gay in this relationship can u give our dumb son some advice”

so mic swoops in and probably embarrasses shinsou a lil bit but overall shinsou accepts his feelings a little more after the talk so thats Something thanks mic

anyway so this pining goes on for a while longer with iida feeling :[ and shinsou feeling bad but like not knowing what to do dkjfjkf. like after the talk w mic it isnt nearly as bad as it was but shinsou’s still awkward and iida can still tell smth abt their relationship has gotten a little stilted :[ but then the joint training exercise happens and its reveled that shinsou is GOING INTO THE HERO COURSE BABEY!!!!!!!

iida is So Excited that he lifts our boy up and spins him around!!! and shinsou is so FUCKING gay he doesnt know how to function once hes put back on the ground smfh so much for being a functional gay huh shinsou

anyway iida starts apologizing profusely like “im so sorry shinsou my excitement just got the better of me and i hope i didnt make you uncomfortable but im so happy for you-!” and shinsou’s like “im in love with you” iida probably passes out lbr

no but both FREAK OUT over that confession and like its so fucking funny bc it was in front of EVERYONE and aizawa just fucking facepalms bc god why does his dumb kid have to take after him so much smh

anyway EVENTUALLY iida and shinsou calm down and before shinsou can Sprint the Fuck Away, iida is like “i!!!!! love you too!!! not as just a friend!!!” and shinsou hides his face in his mask/capture weapon and iida is just kinda bashfully holding his helmet close to his chest and HHH I LOVE MY BOYS………….

anyway they talk and shinsou is like “yeah so im sorry for being weird this past month and a half its because feelings” and iida is like “OHHHH i thought i did something wrong omg” and so they clear that up w each other and start dating. and they are. Adorable. THE couples’ goals in the izucrew. u wish u were as cute as them

iida reading on the couch w shinsou layin down on him?? iida reading TO him while he’s layin down on him in an attempt to help lull him to sleep??? oh my fucking god. thats so good. shinsou brings snacks to their study dates (and theyre actually iida’s idea of regularly scheduled dates someone help shinsou djkfjk) to make sure that they both actually get some food in them. TRAINING TOGETHER,…,..both get v flustered at first but then they get used to it,,im soft
