✧ has an amazing ability to get his kids to stop crying, does really simple things like give them their favorite toy or place a gentle hand on their hand or attend to their needs (mans can tell if they want food or needa poop) and they calm down immediately

thoughts on newtmas :) go on :) i’m listening :)

sami rly said ok time for violence. this is going to be so long sorry everyone.

if we’re talking newtmas itself as a ship in itself, outside of any other influence (and specifically in the movie version, which is generally what people are talking about), I think it’s a good ship. I would have to be the most unobservant motherfucker alive to not see what people see in it, and I am not, in fact, the most unobservant motherfucker alive. it’s a good dynamic with good chemistry and realistically I think if I’d started with the movies rather than the books, I would’ve gone all in for it.

however. I personally am incapable about talking about it in isolation.

I realize from that segue it sounds like I’m about to lead into some grand moral point, but mostly I just liked how dramatic it sounded. anyway. I feel like I need to start with a disclaimer that the easiest, simplest part of this is that you tend to get attached to your first ships in a fandom, as well as your initial feelings about the characters. obviously you can change your mind about any of those things, but it does stick with you. if we’re going to be kind and skip my internalized homophobia era (please be kind), I shipped thominho and nalby because that’s what was big at the time. I also just... did not like book thomas very much, so I wasn’t about to ship him with my favorite character.

(complete and utter tangent: it’s interesting to me that people read the books now and overwhelmingly see newtmas. I recognize that every time I start a sentence with “it’s interesting that” it automatically sounds shady, but i genuinely just love Analyzing. anyway some of it’s definitely people seeing the movie first or having fandom content as a first exposure even in passing, all of which are valid ways to engage, but I do kind of find it fascinating when people talk about book!newtmas as some massive presence because then... theoretically we all should’ve seen it pre-movies? the ship existed, usually among people who hardcore multishipped, but it wasn’t anything like it is today. not at all to say that reading it like that is invalid, it’s just interesting to me the way some people talk about that interpretation, rather than the interpretation itself)

anyway. with that all out of the way, i do have some actual issues with newtmas, although it really doesn’t have anything to do with the characters or the ship itself. these are things that surround the ship and affect my feelings about it, meaning that I never bought in despite, like I said, Seeing It. my main issue with it is how much the roles of other characters have been reduced to create the ship in its current form. I’ve talked at far too much length about the way minho was adapted and honestly will probably talk about it more, because that’s the big one to me (that post can be found here, for those who don’t keep up with every rant I’ve ever gone on for some reason). I will not go so far as to say that’s required reading to fully understand this post, but I would recommend it since I don’t want to just repeat myself. so much of newtmas being the major ship feels like it’s predicated on minho not being there and not having anywhere near as strong a relationship with thomas and newt as he did in the books, and that will never sit right with me.

newt’s relationship with alby is his other most significant dynamic outside thomas and minho, and i feel like it might be surprising to hear me say this, but i get why that one was reduced for the movie. there’s only so much time in the film, so you want to focus on the characters who are going to make it past the first one. I do have a problem here, but it has more to do with dashner and with some fandom bullshit. with dashner, i think the crank palace is the worst of it (I could’ve just stopped that sentence at “I think the crank palace is the worst” but whatever). since all my rants lead back to each other, I’ll link the relevant one here, but the general gist is that my biggest problem was that newt does not seem to have any more of a post-swipe past than thomas does despite theoretically having two more years of memories. given that fact, I don’t know about you, but I would kind of expect alby to be more of a presence in his consciousness. that’s true of pretty much any of the original gladers, but newt and alby are clearly very close in the first book, and again, alby saved his fucking life. he’s literally mentioned once. dashner prioritized the newt/thomas dynamic so much that newt seemingly had no meaningful relationships with anyone else. tcp isn’t immune to treating minho badly either; like I said in that post, it sounds like newt read the wikipedia page on minho. is any of this the fault of the ship itself? does this change anything that came before it? no, but the whole thing feels massively disingenuous, and also kind of disrespectful to people who actually, like, gave a shit about the other characters. also, the way he’s retconning makes me real nervous.

the other part, like I mentioned, is the fandom more than any of the actual content. I’m aware that part of this is just a statistics game and also that’s it’s not representative of all newtmas shippers, but most of the alby bashing I’ve seen comes from newtmas people. it’s... baffling to me, honestly. what’s the point in putting down a ship being kept alive by me and like 3 other people? what do you gain by misrepresenting a character to the point of maliciousness when you could easily just not engage with them? again, I know it’s not everyone and it doesn’t have anything to do with the ship, but I’d be lying if I said things like this don’t color my perception. if someone goes out of their way to put down a ship I like, I’m not really gonna want to associate myself with their ship. I’m gonna cling to my own harder out of spite, actually.

also.... okay. so I peaced out to go do other shit between earlyish 2015 and mid 2019. and it was very weird to temporarily leave the fandom while the two main (in my recollection at least, which could be biased by who i was friends with) mlm ships each included one of the explicitly non-white characters, and come back to find it almost entirely dominated by white boy/white boy... like. I don’t wanna make a statement as simple as “the fandom is racist” because a) it’s not my place to say that, b) if we want to go into that, there are other examples of fandom racism where it’s Blatant and there really is no excuse, whereas this is a bit more complicated imo because c) like. that’s the dynamic the movies gave us. the movies focused very heavily on the newt and thomas dynamic, so of course that’s what the fandom is going to focus on. there’s a lot to say there, but that’s a different issue. it does.... still contribute to the bad taste in my mouth, though, and also contributes to me feeling like I need to keep those ships alive. it’s not about who has the Most Progressive Ship, I just feel weird about the particular shift I’ve seen here.

on a note that sounds less like I’m leveling accusations, New Relationships just aren’t my vibe. you look at my ao3 and it’s like. friends of many years to lovers. established relationship. friends to lovers to exes and back again. just from a dynamics perspective, there are other ships that are more interesting for me to explore. there. this is a lighter reason.

idk overall I don’t wanna sound like I’m on some Moral Crusade here, even though i know some of my points made it sound like that. this is really just me putting all of my thoughts that I can currently round up in one place in order to... idk, explain myself? and like it’s stupid that i feel the need to explain myself, but I know it’s weird not to ship it at this point, and I know if I did I would have so much more content to choose from and a much wider audience for my own content. there’s just baggage there thats entirely separate from the ship itself, having seen the shift and knowing what had to change in order to center newtmas. I’m not trying to sound like I’m better than anyone; I just think maybe I have a different perspective on things having been here for long enough to qualify it as a new mental illness, and that’s ultimately why I feel the way I do.

OKAY HERE WE GO. I GOT ANOTHER THING TO RANT ABOUT. It took me time to get the topic and info dumping / rambling urges for something that I was comfortable posting here. So anyways

Our system has a bit of a thing with gaming and between our system, we have a pretty wide taste that includes a lot of things other than MMORPGs and those multiplayer stuff (Battlefield and COD); so we have like everything from Stardew and Harvest Moon, to Souls-borne, to Management Simulators, to Stealth Games, to Casual Garden / Plant / Animal Sims to Visual Novels to RPGs to some Horror to Minecraft and all that.

Me, Ray, and another part we don’t talk about here really take an affinity to gaming. I typically prefer more story-driven, management games, and more casual farming games. Ray on prefers a lot more AAA action titles. You know those games you bank hours and hours into and BARELY finish the main story - yeah those, I can’t play those for the life of me XD

But anyways, I usually REALLY love me some Bugsnax (lowkey a slight obsession lately), Stardew Valley, Pokemon, Harvest Moon, Hakuoki, Amnesia: Memories (even though they have a problematic “DID character”, its a guilty nostalgic like), and all that but like....

My absolute favorite is probably Bloodborne. A lot of the other ones have a nostalgic pull and/or I REALLY like them, but I think at this point Bloodborne and similar games have become my genuine favorite genre even though it stands out because firstly, they tend to have legit music, secondly, they tend to have legit aesthetic, and thirdly, they are so frustrating and well managed in combat that it is so much fun to just analyze it all and try to figure out the best way to go about doing things.

So like, lets start with Bloodborne in this - because believe it or not the original intent of this rant was not it, but I really do have to establish this.

Reason Bloodborne is Awesome, lets go

One, the story - if you can follow it - is really interesting and well scattered, but I very very much particularly love the theme / question / moral of “Would you rather return to a world blissfully unaware of all the horrors you have seen and learned and live innocently unaware” or “Live in the horrors and be aware of the rest of eternity but at least you know the truth” cause honest to god, if that aint a fucking mood I don’t know what is.

Secondly, GOD do they have the aesthetic down on point. Theres another ask below this asking about my aesthetic, and part of that answer is just fucking Bloodborne now. Like at one point I went “Man I would look cool in Bloodborne aesthetic clothing and shit” and I guess I accidentally ended up with bloodborne armor in the inner world and at first I didn’t know how to revert back to whatever I was wearing (I don’t even remember at this point) and I was like “Uhhh” but HONESTLY I don’t want to change it? I have not found something that is such a solid aesthetic that I love that makes me feel cooler when I’m running around in the inner world so why drop it? And also lowkey now I want to actually adopt that into my IRL life if I ever get the time and money so..??? I mean I’ll go more into that on the aesthetics post but dude look

And then the clothing and Lady Maria???

Okay and then say all of that is just average or not selling you. Okay okay thats fine.

Like there is also how absolutely frustrating, meticulous and well planned the game is yeah yeah we all know that its Souls-borne genre, but sure - give that number three as a reason.

But number four, oh god NUMBER FOUR. I don’t know how much this has been made apparent on our blog, but our system is VERY in love with music as an art. We were raised with musical instruments (both older siblings played instruments from elementary to highschool, we still continue into college), growing up we were exposed to a lot of instrumental music, and we developed an EXTREME reliance on music to deal with both our abusive family / trauma, to help regulate our own mind, emotions and all, and to also deal with how uncomfortable silence is for us.

So music has been a HUGE developmental factor in our life and we REALLY love and appreciate it and its sometimes painful. But the composition of Bloodborne music - it is BEYOND words for me. I could probably write pages and pages of appreciation for how masterly crafted, perfect and well put together almost EVERY SINGLE piece of the game is and how - after years of listening to them on repeat - I can still find new aspects of it and a new technique or aspect I hadn’t noticed or thought much about to still adore.

I legitamently have screamed over how certain parts just click together perfectly. I can get so much positive overflowing joy and excitement from how well the parts interact and how perfectly dramatic the music flows and how active and physical the experience is that I feel the need to SCREAM internally and sometimes externally.

I obsess over orchestral music and OSTS and film music and trailer music and video game music and all of that and I have to say with almost complete confidence that I’m pretty sure Bloodborne is - in my opinion - one of the best crafted orchestrated units.

Even from my own source, one that I love, have they only recently been able to produce a SINGLE track that echoes similarly in the intensity and amazement that I would consider it around par.

I will DIE internally everytime I hear it and sometimes I have actually had to turn it off because it was TOO overstimulating to listen to because of how much UGH it brings me.

More than it is fun to play, Bloodborne is AMAZING to listen to and I can’t state that enough ugh XD

But anyways, before I go on THAT too much, I love Bloodborne. Joke is that as a fictive it is my “second source” even though it makes no sense. I have adopted it, I have claimed it. I love it and I will die for Bloodborne

So LATELY I’ve started a new game I just bought called Code: Vein and its apparently Anime Bloodborne or something like that and so far its really legit and while the music will never compare to Bloodborne - at least from what I’ve seen - I’ve REALLY been enjoying it and its music isn’t half bad itself

It also hilariously talks about “hearts” and loosing them and also memory issues and I’m dying cause they legitamently took Bloodborne’s Aesthetic, put anime on it, gave it a dark story with memories and indepth characters and served it on a platter for me?

And like dude I love games that comment on memory and emotions and stuff like that and I love the aesthetic and that I can kind of look like myself AND wear cool clothes like?

Man I’m enjoying it and I’m realizing that Souls-borne is probably my favorite genre officially and I’m embracing it. Good game play, good aesthetics, good fighting, and good stories. I love it.

How is it goin? My day started off really bad because my favorite necklace fell off this morning and I didn't realize it... until I got on the bus of course. Luckily, I stepped on it when I got off the bus and now I'm wearing it lol. I can't just get another necklace like that becuz I got it as a gift from my friend when he went to another country. Today in ecology, we went outside and collected grasshoppers for a lab and we found 2 grasshoppers on top of each other lmao. Anyways, I'm just throwing my hackysack up in the air cuz I'm bored as hell and it's a school night. Btw, I think I'm getting some kind of "signs" becuz everytime i look at the clock, it's either 3:33, 5:55, or 12:34. It's really freaking me out. But regardless, at 12:00 tonight, it will be Monday, September 13th, 2005 and the new Trapt cd will come out!!! Yeah I'm definitly gonna get that tomorrow. I'm also gonna go over to Sarah's house and get sick with her lol! She's feeling sick so chances are, I will get sick too, but I don't care. I actually like being sick in a way... you get more attention, you get lots of soup, you can stay home from school, parents do whatever you say! Ugh but then there is that damn cough syrup Robitussin stuff that tastes like kerosene mixed with antifreeze . Oh yeah, I saw the worst thing when I was driving with my dad a few days ago. A squirrel got ran over by a car, but it was squirming around before it died and blood was going everywhere. It was pretty sad. So does anyone have the newest Good Charlotte cd? I've been listening to that lately and it's pretty good. I like a bunch of the songs and I even put "Predictable" in my stereo thing. Yeah enough of the randomness....

So on Friday, Sarah came over to my house and we went out to eat at O'Charley's and then we went to Pet Supplies Plus. The parrot was saying "hello" to us... at one point, I tried to make the parrot say "bitch" but it didnt work lol. After that, we hung out at my house and kinda watched Freddy Got Fingered.. wow thats a hilarious movie. Then on Saturday, I went to see The Exorcism of Emily Rose with Sarah and a few of the parts made me jump lol. Even though I knew something was gonna jump out. It wasn't that bad of a movie.. it was based on a true story too! After that, I went to visit my uncle in the hospital... he got ran over by a truck and now he is in a coma... I couldn't even look at him, it was pretty bad... but eventually we left the hospital and got home. Then I went over to Sarah's and we watched the OSU vs. Texas game. On Sunday, me and Joe played hackysack and Kart for a while. After that, me and Sarah saw The Cave and it wasn't really that great, so I wouldn't recommend seein it. It was boring at a lot of parts... it reminded me of one of the many repeated movies that they show on the Sci-Fi channel. But it was still fun because I got to be with Sarah! I can always have fun around Sarah, even if were just sitting on a concrete sidewalk doing nothing.

This part right here is for you Sarah, since it might seem like I never really take the time to say stuff... but even though I don't usually express my feelings through Xanga, yeah lol. SARAH YOU'RE AN AMAZING GIRLFRIEND AND I LOVE YOU!!! I don't know why it feels like I've known you for years, but I think its cuz I can talk to you about anything and everything... so you've become really close to me in such a short period of time.. 1 month and 8 days to be exact. You mean soo much to me, and I don't wanna lose you. I know I won't though because I totally trust you. You always know how to cheer me up, whether its in person, on the phone, through a text, or whatever else. Don't ever worry about losing me because the only way that would happen is if I died, or if you were to cheat on me or something like that (which you wouldn't lol). So I'm more likely to die than anything. But above anything, I love you soo much baby and don't EVER forget that!!!

It's update time! Well I'll give a summary of my past few days. Sarah came back from New York on Sunday so we went to the fair for a while. It felt so good to see her again! We didn't go on any rides becuz they were kinda lame lol, but we walked around inside this building that had like everything in it. It was pretty neat becuz they had lots of random "products" on display. This one lady even offered to make rub Sarah's feet lol . And I got myself a pimped out plastic sheriff badge! Oh yeah!! Yeah the fair was fun tho. Then today was pretty boring during the day, but later on during the night, I went to Sarah's house for like 2 hours then we went to BW3's for a while. There were like 10 people there that I didn't know, but I still had fun. One kid even ate 12 hot wings in less than 5 minutes and he won a T-shirt lol. I ordered 8 boneless wings and I ate 1 really hot wing.. my lips still burn after 2 hours lol. And best of all, NBC 4 was there and supposedly were gonna be on TV later. I think they were there becuz of the smoking bans in restaurants. I was only TV one time before that lol... I did a commercial for the Bowling Palace when I was in 3rd grade and they gave me a damn mini chocolate bowling pin for all of that! I hope their business goes into bankruptcy! After BW3's we went to Kroger so all of the Kroger people could check their schedules and mess around in the finger condom/KY jelly/laxitive isle lol. Yeahh..

Anyways, I guess school is right around the corner and I gotta get school supplies! I even convinced my mom that I'm gonna need an iPod b4 school starts lol, so I might get one tomorrow with this $160 voucher I have. So it's been about 6 days since I last updated.. i think. Right now I'm just eating bagel bites, listening to music, and writing in this lol. This week is going so damn slow. Sarah has been in New York for a week already... and she gets back on Sunday. It sucks to wait for so long...I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER! I wanna see her so badly... but were gonna go to the fair on Sunday, which is the last day. It will be awesome, but I hope it doesn't rain or something. I could've swore the fair was open until around the 20th.

Alright so basically I gotta get my temps renewed and then I can get my driver's license next month! After I take my tests of course. And I'm filling out an application for Pet Supplies Plus, yeahhh! I think it would be fun to work there.. i don't know why, but I really need a job. In fact, I went bowling yesterday and I didn't have enough cash so I had to count out a bunch of quarters to pay lol. It was pretty funny. Oh yeah, and I'm back in my workout routine so I'm not as bored anymore!

Ok.. STORY TIME!! Once upon a time, there were 3 kids... their names were Chris, Joe, and David. They got bored one day and decided to ride their bikes to Academy Park. They rode around on the dirt ramps for a while and then David had to go becuz he had work. Chris and Joe found a path shortly after that and followed it. While they were on the path, they spotted some hillybilly people swimming in the river . Their dog was with them and once the dog saw Chris and Joe, it got out of the water and jumped all over Chris with its muddy paws. Luckily, Chris and Joe escaped and continued on the path. Eventually, they ended up in a neighborhood and kept on going farther and farther until they reached Stygler Rd. They kept going until they saw a building that said "Huntington Banks". Then they realized that they were at the Huntington building in Easton! It took 2 hours for them to get that far so they decided to ride back home in amazement. On their ride home, they saw a girl who looked like Chubakah, so they really hurried home. They reached their own neighborhood in about 2 hours, but they were exhausted as hell so they went home. THE END!!

Freddy Got Fingered is one of the funniest movies ever omg, you guys gotta see it! Well we got half way thru the movie before we had to leave So then we all gave our goodbyes, then David drove me back to my house. After that, we all joined a chat room cuz Sarah was sleeping over at Christina's house and we all wanted to talk. At 3:00, David snuck out and we were planning on riding my sister's electric scooter around the block just for fun lol. But it wouldnt start so we went pegging around the block a few times.

Ok well anyways, we planned to go to the pool around noon the next day, so I had to wake up at 10:00... I don't know how I pulled it off lol. Well since I havent been swimming in forever, I forgot about how small my swimming trunks would be... wow, they went up about half a foot above my kneecap lol. So I gotta buy new swimming trunks lmao... and we didnt go to the pool so we all went over to Christina's house again, ordered pizza and I got to see Sarah! And this time, I knew Sarah liked me back so I felt so much more comfortable around her. Ok we watched the rest of Freddy Got Fingered, then some of The Exorcist (omg that movie sucked), we watched like 1/10 of The Notebook, then some of Mean Girls. Stupid chick flicks lol! But it wasnt that bad at all. After Christina's house, I went to Hometown Buffet with David's family and ate lots of food. Then me, David, Sarah, Christina, Brice, Hilary, and Kris went to BW3's after that. I couldn't eat anything there tho lol cuz i was already full. Here I'll just list the random events that happened here becuz it would take me forever to explain all of them lol.... Brice stuck celery up his nose, sneezed it out, and ate it! We were bothered by a drunk nurse in the parking lot! We drove around the plaza while Kris hung on the back of the van while riding on a skateboard! Those are the main weird things that happened lol. Then after that, David dropped Hilary off and then he was gonna drop me off after that. By that time, I liked Sarah so much that I asked her out before I went inside. And now we are going out... and I'm really really happy! She is going on a trip to New York 2morrow at 4:00 so were trying to go see a movie before she leaves... wow a whole week without seeing her will be hard to deal with lol. I know it takes me forever to update this thing, but you gotta understand that sometimes its boring to update lol. Well not much has changed here... yesterday was fun as hell tho. First of all, David's family was out of town so me and Joe stayed overnight there. Without parents... you can do ANYTHING! So thats what we did. We got some TP and tried to get one of our friends, but are plans got spoiled thanks to the fuckin dogs lol. Ok but David was driving us down Sunbury Rd and he is barely going over the speed limit when he passes a cop car lol... then we look in the rearview mirror and we see the cops lights start flashing! Luckily the left and right lanes were separated by concrete things. So we turned into a street and parked and then everything was fine. Basically we just messed around outside all night. In the morning around 10, we went to Krogers and got some waffles and whipped cream... has anyone had blueberry waffles w/ whipped cream? It's pretty good.

Friday sucked ass lol cuz my dad was moving and I had to help him move everything into a U-Haul truck and then take it to the new apartment. It wasn't hard at all, but I did it from 10:00 to 3:00 without eating anything. AND it was so damn boring. It was kinda funny though cuz my dad told me to watch my step while I was putting the coach in the truck and he hit his head on the top of the truck like 5 seconds later lol. And today, I fell asleep during the day!! And right when I fell asleep... my dad came over and woke me up and said "I need you to help me move some more things" blahh blah blah.. thats the worst way to wake up lol.

Yeah I made another mix cd with lots of kool songs including this techno remix to Yeah which is SO AWESOME!!! It has so much bass that you gotta hold on to the handles on the car just to sit still. If I ever find out how to upload music, then I'll put it on my xanga but I dont know how. PLEASE tell me if you know how. Speaking of music, I've been listening to the old Fall Out Boy cd and it's really awesome so everyone should listen to it! I'm gonna get the new one soon.. yeah. Ok that should be enough for now! It's bad enough that wre not allowed outside, but the cop car was speeding thru our neighborhood for some reason lol. Let's see... I'll talk a little about how things are goin now... well I started driving school 2 weeks ago and it's really boring. I have to go 2 days per week, 4 hours each day. Next week is my last week! Driver's ed isnt really that bad cuz I met some new peeps that I can talk to whenever. I went to Cedar Point again for 1 day too, this time it was for my dad's company picnic. Remember how Cedar Point was awesome for me last time? This time it was living hell lol. Hold on, lemme get my list of all the bad things... ok

1) I had 2 hours of sleep... thats my own fault i guess lol.

2) I had a headache that lasted from the night before thru the whole day.

3) It decided to rain nonstop the WHOLE time we were there.

4) The lines were packed to the edges so we didnt get to go on any rides at all.

5) The free food was disgusting.

6) We spent more time driving there and back than we spent in the park itself, so its basically a waste of time.

Lol thats mainly all. Wow I'm really lazy lol. That's why I wanna drive SOOO bad. And to kill some time and earn some money, I'm actually trying to get a job at Pet Supplies Plus!!!!!! Yes now doesnt that sound like a great place to work?? You get to move dog food and other things all day and its the only place hiring that is half decent lol. Well it's definitly 4 in the morning right now so I'm gonna get to bed. Me and Josh stayed up last night chilling so I'm really tired. Btw before I go, I have something for everyone who likes Trapt... theyre coming out with a new cd in September and they released 1 main song... its awesome and its called Stand Up. I tryed to find it EVERYWHERE, but the only place I can find it is http://www.trapt.com/ . You can listen to the song over and over if you stay on there. Yeah well with that, I'm out! Then David IMs me and tells me to meet him outside because Brian just got TPed. So I set everything up in the house to look like I'm asleep, grab the Cheezits, and then I sneak out. I walked down to Brian's house to see Brian and Joe in Joe's car. They told us that they found out who TPed him because they saw them drive away and yell something that obviously gave themselves away. Even though you need to be 18 to drive outside at 2:00, we got in Joe's car and decided to help Brian get revenge. We drove towards Kroger (I can't forget to mention the Rumpke truck that almost backed up into us. So we drove by him... Joe waved to him while I flicked him off lol). Once we were at Kroger, David and Brian ran inside and bought 48 rolls of TP. Ha you dont wanna know the excuse we had for buying all of that TP. Anyways, Joe drove to one of the kids houses (a kid that helped TP Brian) and we started throwing TP all over the trees and bushes. Me and David TPed the backyard while Joe and Brian TPed the front yard. Eventually, they came into the backyard and Brian was like, "Dude this isn't the right house... there isn't a basketball hoop in the front!" So were like damn...so we grabbed as much TP as possible from house and moved to the RIGHT house. That's where we seriously trashed the house up lol. We had a lot of spare TP so I even put some in their weeds. When we were done, it was like 3:15 and we weren't satisfied... so we got back in the car and drove to Meijer, and bought 48 more rolls of TP! By the way, the same kid who we TPed, called Brian's cell and asked him who the hell TPed his house. The kid got home right after we TPed him luckily lol... but Brian denied it anyways. Then we went to another kid's house and got ready to TP him. But thats when we noticed that the gas tank was empty...so we drove away and barely made it to a gas station. Since no1 else was on the road at that time, Joe turns the wrong way and starts driving on the complete wrong side of the road... it was hilarious. But then we go back to the kids house with a 1/4 tank of gas. This kid's house had so many trees so it was perfect to TP. So we TPed his house pretty bad and left. It was about 4 by this time so we decided to go back home before it got any later. Joe dropped everyone off at their houses, but I went to Joe's house for a sec so I could help him get out of trouble if his parent's were awake. Yeah and we also woke Ryan up so we could say Hi to him. After that, I left and ran home to my house and snuck back inside... my damn cat was meowing up a storm while I was opening the door tho. I seem to forget about the speed limit from time to time. It's funny tho. Ok well I'm gonna go drink some more limeade lol. That stuff is really good and its better than lemonade. well the song i’m listening to rn as i write this is CHERRY BOMB by Tyler the Creator, off the album of the same name! fair warning, if you go to that link and you’re wearing headphones, it is advised you turn it Wayyyyyyyy down as this song will likely snipe ur eardrums if not. idk why i’ve recently become so obsessed w this bop, but it blends this like harsh, grating bass with these beautiful little soft moments and this like beat that just feels so Confrontational im just….hhhhh it’s Good. i recommend highly, i just suggest you turn it down.

after that it’s THE BROWN STAINS OF DARKEESE LATIFAH PART 6-12 (Remix) by Tyler the Creator, off the Cherry Bomb album. i have No Idea what the title means, but this is just a hands-down bop and vibe. the beat is funky and like the little synth noises in the back are just interesting, and the cuts between the little bridges and the verses is so jarring but also it works?? idk i really like tyler, the creator,,,

and the last one is Say So by Doja Cat off her most recent album Hot Pink! doja is just kinda iconic on her own, but this song is funky and has those sexy vibes she’s always going for, and i just fucks w it real hard man!! it slaps!! she’s also Incredibly Pretty so like yep yep uh huh ill listen to your music you are Very Pretty. also everyone thinks she says “hot and moaning” in one of the chorus lyrics, and i had to look on genius to check (it’s not, but you can hear that phrase if ur looking for it AND hear the actual lyric if ur looking for it. i found that very funny.)

6. three songs you wish you could erase from history (because they’re terrible)

can i be honest here??? can i sit down and just be real w yall?? i don’t think i’ve ever heard a song that’s, like, Objectively terrible. it might be because my scope is extremely limited (since i find my favorites and then just listen to those for the rest of Time), or because i can find musical merit in even genres i’m not an active fan of. but i don’t think any song i’ve ever heard i’ve ever been like “oh, this is Awful and should never exist!” like if someone tells me an album is bad, i tend to stay away from it anyway, so it’s not like i can have an opinion of it Myself (bc i trust my friends music tastes but that doesn’t necessarily mean the album shouldnt Exist). also i’ll watch anthony fantano’s reviews and sort of decide if something piques my interest and seems to have critical merit enough to check out, but most of the time i watch reviews for albums i’m already a Huge Fan of (coughcoughIGORcoughcough). but…yeah! i don’t have an answer for this one!

Fallen Down from Undertale by Toby Fox. hands down, this is The Best song on the entire soundtrack, and i will defend that to my dying days. if you want to be transported to the fondest, rustic, most tender and emotional memories of places you’ve never even Been To, you listen to this song. if you’ve never felt the gentle embrace of a parental figure after you’ve had a nightmare, you listen to this song. if you want to cry your eyes out over the time lost in your life already, you listen to this song. if you want to think of World’s Best Mom, Toriel Dreemurr, You Listen To This Song. i once had a full-on out of body Experience playing Minecraft and playing this song on loop. this song is fucking amazing, Megalovania can suck my whole ass

SPEAKING OF SONGS THAT WILL MAKE YOU EMOTIONAL, BUT ALMOST IN THE ENTIRELY OPPOSITE (BUT NOT RLLY) SENSE, Vs. Susie from Deltarune by Toby Fox gives you the instinct to rock out but also Cry at the same exact fucking time!!! how does this man keep doing it!!! i think i might be a Little biased bc susie is my absolute favorite character from Deltarune (and maybe even the whole franchise, if im being honest), but just that crooning guitar rift towards the end is so telling of her emotional state during this point of the game and every time i replay deltarune i just have to let this song play out a couple times bc its Such a short scene. i really hope this theme comes back when the full game gets released, it is an absolute bop and a heart-puller.

last but not least, my absolute favorite banger from a game series is…. ASSGORE (Fingerfückung) by BotanicSage, using the songs ASGORE and Bergentrückung from Undertale by Toby Fox. yes, i’ve linked the original song, not the MMD bc i feel like this video deserves more love (the orig. has like 100k views and the MMD has over a million Come On People). on a serious note, the Undertale songs he samples from are definitely up there on my favorites from Undertale, but paired with the extra samples and the lyrics?? this is just God Tier. and the fact that this song was made out of Pure Spite is just the cherry on top. i Live for spiteful art!!! i want more of it!!! it’s great!!! we need more Fingers In His Ass!!

Chapter one: the library

You didn't see him again in a week. It's not like you wanted to see him again. He was an asshole. You didn't wanna waste anymore time talking to him. But what confused you the most was why couldn't you stop thinking about him. You didn't have a reason to be, he was just constantly on your mind. It wasn't like they were good thoughts. They were more like wondering why he was the way he was. There was no doubt in your head that Tom was a fucking dick, but nevertheless he was still an interesting character, you thought. He was the type of guy to be charming one second and a complete asshole the next. You didn't know why you wanted to know more about him. Even though you did, you weren't gonna find out. You could barley stand being in the same room as him.

It came as a surprise to you when he showed up another week later. His curls were out again, and he looked rough, like he hadn't got any sleep. You assumed it was from partying. You had heard about the annual beginning of the year frat party. It was supposed to be huge. You could hear the music from all the way from your dorm. You never went to those things, you hated parties and you hated drinking. It wasn't your type of fun.

Tom plopped down on his chair with a sigh. He didn't say a word to you. He just rested his head on his desk and closed his eyes. Something you expected from him. He never paid attention when he was here anyways.

"Had a rough day?" You couldn't stop yourself from teasing him.

He groaned, not moving his head. His eyes were squeezed shut. "A rough week." He answered.

You didn't reply, you felt like you didn't need to.

But that didn't stop him from wanting to talk to you.

"How was your week?" He finally lifted up his head to look at you, resting his chin on his palm while his elbow rested on the table.

You shrug. "The usual."

"No more getting locked into library's?" He teased you.

You rolled your eyes. "That was a one time thing." You replied quietly. Your professor had finally started the lesson.

Tom however, wasn't quiet. "Do me a favor?" He asked.

His question confused you. What could he want you to do? You didn't think you had anything he wanted.

"I will if you be quiet for the rest of the class." You answered, your eyes avoiding his as you looked at your professor speaking.

Tom nodded, sealing his lips with his fingers and throwing out the key. You didn't think he'd be able to do it. There wasn't one class where Tom wasn't talking. Whether it was from teasing you or speaking to his buddies who sat in front of him. But some how Tom managed to stay quiet which pissed you off even more.

After class you tried to leave as quickly as possible, hoping Tom would forget about the favor you owe him, but of course he stopped you on the way out.

"You owe me a favor." Tom smirked at you.

You frowned, sighing. "What is it." You just wanted to get this over with. It was probably something stupid, like notes or a dollar.

"Go on a date with me."

You thought you had missheard. There was no way Tom Holland was asking you out on a date. You thought it was a joke, some prank. You didn't do anything to insinuate that you liked him, or wanted to go out on a date with him. Why would he ask that.

He took your silence as a chance to continue. "I think once you go out with me, you'll see I'm not some asshole who loves breaking girls hearts."

Then it all finally made sense to you.

"So this is just another game of yours? You wanna take me out and prove to me that your some amazing guy and make me fall in love with you, just so you can prove a point?" You said in disbelief. "Then what Tom? After your done playing this sick game what are you gonna do? Leave? Because I think thats exactly what your gonna do. " You snap at him.

He shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "Who said anything about falling in love?" He shot you a grin. "All I'm asking is you give me one chance to prove myself."

You thought for a moment. It wouldn't hurt you to give him one night, however you didn't really wanna spend another night with him. That night in the library was enough for you. But it was tempting, to see what he was really like. You knew he had layers to him, but was that something you really wanted to see? You thought about it somemore. Just one night. All he wanted was one night, then you could be done with him.

"Fine." You finally said.

He gave you a smile, a genuine smile. He seemed like he was already starting. "I'll meet you at the library at six." And with that said, he walked away from you, leaving you stunned.

You were on time. Tom didn't tell you where you were going, so you just decided to wear your best clothes, which wasn't anything fancy. You've never been anywhere fancy other than a church gathering your grandma had made you go to. You stood outside of the library in a your favorite skinny jeans, a floral top and a black cardigan. The only shoes you owned were your black vans, which made the outfit a little weird but it was all you had that was date worthy. You didn't know why you were trying so hard, it wasn't like you were expecting a good time. In fact, you were expecting a horrible time. You expected him to take you to some party and call it a date.

Ten minutes later and you were starting to get pissed, one thing you hadn't been expecting was Tom to be late. Of course he wasn't gonna take this seriously.

Ten more minutes and you were just about to leave. There was no way you were waiting any longer, but then you saw him. He was dressed in a polo and khakis, his hair gelled back. It was a sight you thought you'd never see. It was different then his usual all black clothing. He rushed over to you, breathing deeply.

"I'm sorry I lost track of time." He apologized.

You were still pissed at him though. "Let's just get this over with."

He nodded, letting out another deep breath. "Follow me." He said, then walked off, towards the gate.

You rolled your eyes, but followed after him anyways. He stayed beside you, looking anywhere but at you. You decided it was best to break the awkward silence.

"Where are we going?" You asked. You were hoping it was the movies or something so you wouldn't have to talk to him.

"The park, its only a couple of blocks away from campus." He said, looking down at his feet while he led the way off campus.

"Okay." You were happy it wasn't what you thought it was.

"Hope you don't mind the walk, my car is at the shop."

You shrugged your shoulders. "I don't have a car so I'm usually walking anyways." Cars were expensive, and so was the college you were attending. You couldn't afford both.

Tom nodded to himself, sticking his hand in his pockets. He looked over at you finally, taking in your appearance. "You look nice."

You felt your cheeks grow hot. You weren't expecting a compliment. Those were something you were unfamiliar with. You hadn't ever received a compliment from a guy before, other than your dad or uncles. It was a weird feeling.

"Thank's." You uttered. "You look...different." You decided it was a good different. Even though you liked all the black he wore, the polo shirt was a good choice.

He ignored your comment, announcing that you had arrived at your destination. It was a childrens park. Not many people there. One think you were excited about was the swings. As a kid you could never get off of those things.

Before you could comprehend what was happening, Tom had grabbed your hand, dragging you away from the bark box in the direction of a picnic set up by a tree with shade.

"Hope your hungry." He said, letting go of your hand and sitting near the basket neatly placed on top of a blanket.

You were in fact. You hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast.

Tom opened the basket, pulling out two sandwiches wrapped in foil. He handed you one before pulling out two cokes and a bag of cheetos.

"I tried my best." He chuckled, opening up the sandwich.

You did the same, opening the up the foil revealing a ham and cheese sandwich. It was simple, hard to mess up. However once you took a bite your face twisted in disgust.

You didn't wanna be mean, so you tried to hide it and keep chewing, but Tom saw it, and he tasted it.

He laughed, throwing his head back. "This is terrible." He spit out the sandwich back onto the foil before dropping it back into the basket.

You decided it was okay to laugh. "How do you mess up a ham and cheese sandwich." You giggle, spitting out the sandwich the same way he did.

He shrugged, a smile on his face. "Good thing I brought the big bag of cheetos."

You wondered how he knew cheetos was your favorite, you decided it was probably because of the night in the library when you chose the cheetos out of everything else.

You laughed, grabbing the cheetos before opening it up. You took two in your mouth, hoping to get rid of the gross sandwich taste. You handed the bag over to Tom, who took a handful.

"So how come the park?" You questioned.

It wasn't like you weren't grateful for the setting, but it seemed out of character for Tom.

"I like it, its almost peaceful." He shrugged, shoving cheetos in his mouth.

You agreed, other than the library the park was one of your favorite places to be. Your grandma used to take you all the time when you were little after school. You'd play on the slide and the monkey bars, but the swings were always your favorite. You loved to swing as high as you could and close your eyes. It felt like you were flying.

Before you could stop yourself, you ended up telling Tom all of that. You told him how you and your grandma would walk miles for the park and only stay for about ten minutes before having to walk back. Those ten minutes were worth it though. Ten minutes on a swing, with your eyes closed.

You told him about how you would try to climb up the slide with your socks on, always failing and falling down. You told him how one time you were so close, your hand was literally on the start of the slide, but your grandma called out for you, so you had to let go and slip down.

What surprised you the most was that he listened. He listened to you go on and on about swings, slides, and how your hands felt raw after going on the monkey bars for hours. He listened, sharing your favorite chips and not interrupting. He watched the way you spoke, he looked like he was actually interested in what you were saying, which surprised you.

After you were finished, you felt your face grow hot. You had been talking too much. The bag of cheetos was almost finished.

"Sorry, I talked too much." You said sheepishly.

He chuckled. "It's okay. I like your stories."

You bit down on your lip. Tom was surprising you more and more as the date went on. Some things caught you off guard. Like when you were talking he had opened up your cokes, with his eyes still on you. Like how when you were getting uncomfortable sitting on your feet, he notived and he moved the basket over so you could stick your feet out. Small things like that surprised you.

"What about you?" You asked, bringing the can of coke up to your lips.

He looked down at his hands, biting the inside of his cheek. "My parents used to take me to the park with my siblings all the time. My favorite was also the swings. Me and my brother used to fight over who'd go first, I'd always win of course."

You smiled at his story. You didn't know he had siblings. But how could you know? It wasn't like you'd ever ask. It wasn't like you cared to ask before. Something you were starting to regret was judging him.

Tom did the same as you. He went on about his visits to the park and how his brothers would always start bark fights. He talked about how mad his mom would get every time she had to clean his pants from all the bark. He talked about when it would rain and all the slides were wet him and his brothers would try to slide down them with their shoes on. He talked about how it would never work and he always ended up with soaked pants. He talked about when he grew up and was too old for the park, he'd still sneak over in the middle of the night and watch the stars, blasting music in his earphones.

His stories were similar to yours. You remember night time at the park. The park was always more beautiful at night.

You sat and listened, just as interested in his stories as he was with you. You liked the way he spoke. It was different from his usual cocky attitude. It was more like him, it was more likeable. You decided you liked this Tom. The one who talks about his family like their the best people in the world. You liked the Tom that brings big bags of cheetos and nasty sanwiches.

Tom was starting to prove you wrong by just a couple of hours. You were starting to actually know the real him, and it scared you. You didn't know what was gonna happen after this, but whatever will happen, you liked this moment right now. You liked this Tom.

It had been hours of you and Tom sharing stories, laughing together and at one another. He was night and you two had decided to move to the swings once all the children have left. You weren't swinging fast, you were just slowly swaying back and forth, your feet still on the ground. You talked about everything and anything.

He shared about his siblings and how his mom is the most important woman in his life. He talked about how he ended up all the way here from England. What surprised was that he was actually funny. He made you laugh so hard you almost fell of the swing. And you loved his laugh. It was becoming one of your favorite sounds, which scared you. You were starting to form an attachment. You had also shared some personal things with him.

It was about 12 when you decided to walk back to campus. He held your hand in his. His hand was warm and fit perfectly in yours. You had this warm fuzzy feeling in the pit of your stomach throughout the whole walk.

What came next will always surprise you.

You didn't know why you said it, but it came out of your mouth.

"Wanna come back to my place?"

He was just as surprised as you were, but hee agreeded.

Then what happened after that was even more shocking.

You didn't know how his hands endes up in your hair and lips presses against yours. You didn't know how you managed to unbuckle his pants while he pushed you onto the bed. You don't remember how his lips ended up on your neck and how your hands got tangled in his hair.

You thought you'd never do this. You weren't one to do that on the first date, or even the first month of dating. But you did. It was slow, not rushed. It was calm, giggles would escape both of your mouths, replaced by moans throughout the night. He was gentle, loving, always asking if your were okay. It wasn't what you thought it'd be.

That night was amazing, but the next day was something you weren't prepared for.

N: Hello, nice to see you. Tell us: who are you?

F: I’m Felix Kroos. 27 years old and Toni’s brother.

N: So you grew up in Greifswald. You are slightly younger but nevertheless you are pretty close age-wise. How was that like? Has there ever been anything other than football at home?

F: Yeah, I mean because of our small age gap we did almost everything together. The same interests; really we did everything together. Sports was always on top of our list. And it wasn’t necessarily always football. I guess we started with badminton. We even went to practice badminton, since our uncle worked as a coach. Our mother also used to play it. But in the end it came down to football very quick. We were maybe five or six years old around that time. So from that day on, for us it was only football. After a while we recognized both that we can play rather decent (smirks) and it’s even more fun if you successful doing it. So we committed doing it and now we are here…

N: What turned you off badminton? It also a nice sport…

F: Sure, but for me one reason was the fact that you were able to win more trophies why football was better.

N: So it was all about winning…

F: Yeah, maybe it was all about winning even back then… but I would say almost every boy played football on the streets before and it was just fun. So this automatically led us to football. My father worked as a coach as well… so we almost had no other choice. But we liked it (laughs)

N: (laughs). Did he also directly coached you guys?

F: Yeah, yeah. He basically followed everything over the years from the very beginning. He stopped once we got into professional areas of football. But he definitely followed our path for a very long time.

N: Where you actually able to deal with him in a neutral way? Or did have moments sometimes where you would think „Oh come on dad! You saw I scored!“ How was that like?

F: (smirks). Sometimes like this; sometimes like that. It wasn’t always easy. You didn’t want to be lectured by him all the time especially once you grew older. Because once you were getting home it was all about football again – so in that sense we never really had a breack (smirks). But in the end you can say that it helped us. I think thats one of the reasons why we are at the point we are today.

N: Were you able to say for yourself, „I dont want to play football anymore“ Or was that something that never really reached your mind?

F: I never really had any thoughs about that. It never reached me. I was rather successful and it was still fun. A great mixture success and fun. So thats why those thoughts never came up – no.

N: What did you think, did you do different than your brother to be successful? Did you do things differently?

F: I think so. Talent was there – but thats not the only recipe you need. We did a lot of extra stuff. Extra sessions. Which was something – again, we were able to do together. Everything around has was put aside – we had to renounce alot oft hings in life. But also because we wanted it. This – adding talent and hard work, brought us to were we are today.

N: Were you able to give yourself some extra love and support because you did everything together?

F: Yes, I think so. Like I said, we were always together since we were little kids. We were everywhere on the road together. And we became even closer once Toni left home for Munich at the age of sixteen. We became closer. We had almost daily contact with each other. We dont even need words anymore, we always know what one thinks the other is thinking. Support is always there. Regardless what happens. Thats something everyone knows from the other.

N: But it is crazy isn’t it, if somebody leaves home so early in life? I mean you are still a child right?

F: Yeah. I couldn’t imagine it at that age myself. It was definitely a brave step, but Toni was always a guy who made clear decisions. Sure he had some thoughts about it, but he always stood behind his decisions. And he always was striving for the best. It was the path which led to Munich (laughs).

N: Sure. But until 2010 he was always the youngest player on the pitch. Thats something you have to accomplish right?

F: Yeah definitely – he always was the best. Since he was little. In every team he played. Striving for the best was always something he was used to. The fact he beats records doing it – may not be normal, but forseeable.

N: Does it maybe come from yourself. That you look into the mirrow and say to yourself „I’am the best“?

F: I don’t. (laughs) I can’t speak for others. I don’t think Toni does it too – saying „I’am the best“. He is just convinced of his own strength. He knows he is good, if he performs well and shows his skills and does what he does best. That he doesn’t have to be afraid of something. And he knows it – every day. Without him standing in front of the mirrow telling himself everyday how good he is. (smirks)

N: If you go back to your childhood. Do you remember your first football? How did it look like?

F: Well that was very long ago. We have become older ourselves over the meantime (smirks).

N: Was it like a real ball – or didn’t you start with a small, light rubber ball?

F: No, I think it was a real one. Anyway we grew up very protected. We didn’t lack anything. Maybe because we didn’t need much – except a ball (laughs). But I think it was a normal football – even back then and you never let someone else take it away from you.

N: Did you have posters of famous football players in your room?

F: Yes. I was back then – because oft he geografical distance, Rostock fan. So in that regard I had posters of Rostock players, but I cant tell which players percisely. Toni was a Werder fan – Werder Bremen fan. But he had almost everything on his walls. Football players – but not exclusively from one club.

N: But baskatball has also been a great deal. NBA, right?

F: Yeah thats when basketball kind of came along – the older he got. „The older he got“ (rolls eyes) well were aren’t that old yet – you have to be careful saying that (laughs). But to a degree where we are watching more basketball on TV than football.

N: Perhaps to get some distance…?

F: Yeah I mean you deal with football almost every day. I think it’s important to see something different once in a while. And to focus your interest on other things. Without lacking your focus on your own performance – your own job, so to speak. But nevertheless I think it’s important to see other things as well.

N: Did he lace up your shoes?

F: I could be, yes (laughs). I really don’t have good memory on that one. But sure he did. He did quite some stuff being a „big brother“.

N: Did you share food in a brotherly fashion?

F: Ehm, well sure we did have arguments at home like you usually have as siblings but in the end nothing bad ever happend.

N: Favorite food?

F: With regards to Toni it’s very easy: a Schnitzel with potatoes. He even eats fried potatoes without anything - without onions. He is very simple on those terms.

N: How about you?

F: Back in the day it was – I don’t know if people remember them, but yeast-dough dumpling from grandma. (laughs). Really good – even today! (laughs) But I like to eat everything: sushi, meat, Döner, everything.

N: Well it all tastes great.

F: Yeah (smirks).

N: Ok, back home. I would like to know, have there been like special agreements, code words, nicknames during your childhood? Something that bonded you together? Did you went off road with bikes… or…

F: There was always a sort of competition between us two. We really made a competition out of nothing. Even then we did a bike tour, the question always was „who gets to the finishline first?“ We were always looking for competition. It was always about winning. And we were both different in that regard. I was the grimly guy that and Toni by contrast was always very smooth and easygoing. He had to laugh about everything I did, which (laughs) made me sometimes really angry. We were very different in that regard. Yet – we always wanted to compete. Almost everywhere and thats something that has bonded us together.

N: How does he deal with loosing?

F: Sure he doesn’t like it. But he has a very relaxed way of dealing with defeats….

N: And you?

F: It’s fine now. I would never say I like to loose, but you realize that there are more important things than loosing a football game.

N: You are a successful football player yourself – If something doesn’t really go well, how do you deal with that? Do you speak with each other? I mean it is a lot of pressure… all the fans in the stadium… everybody watches every move you make very closely…

F: Yeah sure. Both of us know how it all works. Everyone of us has experiences in that regard. So we both can feel how the other one is feeling. And that there is always support. But like I said: we don’t need a lot of words. We know from each other, what the other person is thinking. Sure we do have some words of encouragement occasionally. He uses them more for me than I do for him (laughs)… Since he wins more often. Just the fact, that each of us knows that the other is there for you – and that he knows how it looks like with the other brother, thats enough.

N: And your mom? Do you have to go to your mom sometimes? (laughs)

F: (laughs) No, you have to comfort her more sometimes than yourself… (laughs) But there is always support coming from them as well. They are rooting for us everytime… sometimes more than they anticipate. In some situations they are more upset than us. I mean they almost gave up everything for us. They have always been there for us and brought us to where we are today.

N: Crazy unconditional love…

F: Yeah… like I said, they did almost everything for us. Without reservations. We didn’t miss anything in our childhood, we had everything. And maybe you try to give something back in our age or our position now.

N: Support…

F: Yes, you know realize that there are things in life more important than football. Things that ARE more important. Sometimes you should never forget. Even now with Toni’s Foundation. We are doing a lot of things and try to support many people. People that weren’t as lucky as we were. You get to know that football is not everything…

N: But I would guess it is difficult isn’t it? Because you have a certain amount of income… when you see a nice car. Do you think if you get to know a sick child or meet their family… I mean does that change something within yourself?

F: Yes, absolutely! I remember going into one special hospital for the first time. I have never seen anything like this before. It’s really difficult, yet – I can recommend to everyone to take a look for themselves and see how strong these people are. How good these people cope with their fates and circumstances. You are nothing against that as a football player. Those are the real everyday heros! Like I said, I would recommend everyone to see this on their own. Because you quickly realize that your problems aren’t as bis as they seem…

N: Yeah I can imagine. Will you be in Russia?

F: I will definitely watch the first game live in the stadium. I have to look at my schedule after that. How long do I have vacation? But sure, I will at least see one game in Russia.

N: Have you ever been there before?

F: No.

N: Are you excited?

F: Well it wasn’t my number one travel destination. But if you can connect the two, it gives you an opportinity to see Russia. I look forward to it.

N: It’s nice there.

F: Yeah, we will see.

N: I can recommend it. Do you have a special wish for your brother? Is there something you want to tell him?

F: No, not really. Of course you wish him health and success - generally speaking. He should just enjoy it. I think not many football players are able to play at a world cup. And maybe in a few years you will look back and you start to feel sorry for not enjoying it. So that’s why I think he should just enjoy it.

N: What about Real? Do you sometimes visit Madrid?

F: I haven’t been to a game yet. It just doesn’t fit my schedule…

N: …because you both are playing at the same time…

F: Not being able to just go there for a short trip - it annoys me pretty much. I have been to Madrid a couple of times, just to see him. But I think at one point I’ll be able to watch one of his games live. Yet I follow every game via I-pad or TV.

N: Well, I guess he watches your games as well…

F: Yeah, yeah – if he doesn’t play at the same time as I do, he watches my games too. We always watch each others games.

N: What about your future? Is there something you want to achieve?

F: I just try to… ehm try the best under the current circumstances. So that I don’t have to regret something later. I don’t want to plan what I want to do in one year, two years. I want to do whats right now and what I think is right. So with that I won’t regret anything later on. (laughs)

N: What I always want to know – I also have siblings. Two brothers who play in Croatia. What’s it like to go onto the pitch with everyone chanting your name?

F: It’s a nice feeling – everytime. It’s never a daily routine. It’s always special.

N: Are you nervous?

F: Tense – yes. Nervous, yes maybe a bit. But not in negative way. Also positive…

N: …motivating…

F: Yes, motivating. It’s always something special – every time. It never became a daily routine and it never will be… And I think thats something which a lot of players will miss once their career is over. Those moments.

N: Goosebumps right?

F: Yeah…

N: Once Toni got to play for Bayern Munich for the first time… How was that for you? Where you there?

F: I was watching it on TV – yes. I think he was a subsitute player that game. And I can remember very vividly that he made to assists that game. I just went like it went before through his youth. It was the perfect first game… I think he played for some twenty minutes… but I think that was more emotional than his world cup win. Because it seems that you finally reached the place you always trained and worked to get to. That your dreams have finally come true… thats a moment you probably will never forget.

N: Exactly, you are living your dream… but there are so many other players – so many others. And sometimes it just takes a few minutes and your spot on the team is gone. How can you motivate or calm yourself so you dont get discomfort or fear of not making it? Everybody is interchangeable. Do you really get away from that fear? Sure you finally fulfill your dream but it doesn’t mean anything…

F: Yeah, I mean often dreams are different than reality. Sure, if you in the game for some ten years, you can‘t say „Now I have fulfilled my dream!“. Not everyday is going to be like that. It’s always hard work. Nevertheless there is always a sense of satisfaction. Because, I mean, not many people can say about themselves they fufilled their childhood dream. Thats why investing a lot in it is always worth the cost. Everybody should always believe in it – in themselves. Regardless whether it works at the first opportunity or the next. If you have a dream – you should follow it.

N: Don’t you sometimes crave for a relaxed time with slippers and a beer in your hand… or not (laughs).

F: Well sometimes I do have those thoughs (smirks)… just let everything go. Not to think about what do I have to eat now. Or can I stay up later than usual? The ability to just decide freely what you want to do… it‘s something you look forward to but maybe in a couple of years down the road. You know the time will come – someday…

N: As long as your body can handle it…

F: Yeah right.

N: Do you have real close friendships with other players with teams you’re playing in?

F: Yes, I do. Not many but…

N: Is it because of the competition?

F: No, No… I don’t think so… I think it takes a year to build a friendship. And… I mean I played in Bremen for about six years now… and it felt I played with over 100 different players. You can‘t build friendships with that, players have come and gone over that period of time it’s not possible. But there are one or two guys among the players who stayed there for six years like I did … where you have a stronger bond and you made friends with. It’s possible - but very rare.

N: But do you still have a relationship to Greifswald, to Rostock?

F: Yes Greifwald, because grandma and grandpa still live there. As well as uncle and aunts.

N: Can they live in peace or are they…

F: Yeah, they have their peace.

N: Everyone knows…

F: ….well yeah everyone knows them. Sometimes people ask. But no, uncle and anuts are still there. My cousin moved there with his small family lately. My parents still live in Rostock. Mostly family but not really friends still live there.

N: You are in Berlin?

F: I’m in Berlin, yes. I like it.

N: Well thats not far from home right?

F: No, thats fine. If we only had a good airport it would be easier to reach the city (laughs)

N: (laughs) Hey don’t grouse about Tegel airport! The nice thing about Tegel airport is two steps you are out of the plane; two steps you get through the airport; two steps our out of it!

F: Well, yeah….

N: Ok, I see. You want the new international airport…

F: (laughs) But I guess I won’t be in Berlin once its finished.

N: So you do have dreams and you want to play somewhere else?

F: No. But I won’t play for another ten years. Thats pretty clear to me. I already know I will be going back to Bremen once my career is over. And yes, if the new airport needs another ten years to get finished it will be difficult for myself.

N: Thankfully you dont need an airplane to Bremen. (laughs)

F: Yeah (laughs).

That’s so cool, you can find the coolest things thrifting I think, when I was a kiddo I found a plush psyduck that I still have to this day!!! If I found a cool Pikachu thing like that I would definitely be super excited :D

Also, that’s so rad! Your gf has good taste >:3 I have a 3ds as well, it has a Pichu decal on it!! I also have a Butterfree keychain that dangles from the bottom of it! It sounds like it gets in the way, but I like it a lot! ^w^ I got my 3ds Years ago and I hadn’t used it for a super long time, but recently I have been playing more games so I cleaned it up and made it look fancy, I love playing Rhythm Heaven, Zelda and Mario Kart!

I guess I don’t really know exactly Why I adore Pikachu as much as I do (I mean, it’s the most popular Pokémon ever, you’d think I’d get sick of it xD) but I’ve just always been in love with Pikachu’s design! My favorite cousins always had Pokémon stuff when I was little, I remember seeing one of them with Pikachu slippers and I thought they were like, the coolest thing on the planet! I remember my mom took me to see Pokémon 4ever in theaters when I was about four years old, and it changed my life xD I think the Pikachu short at the beginning is what made me absolutely fall in love with pkmn!

I don’t think my love for Pokémon has ever truly died down since like 2004, maybe Pikachu is my favorite because it’s emblematic of the series as a whole? I also just ADORE its simple design, and considering as a kid I was obsessed with guinea pigs and hamsters, it’s natural I would think a very rodent-like chubby Pokémon is the best thing on the planet xD

I especially adore Pikachu from the anime, it has such an endearing and timeless friendship with Ash >:3 Like seriously, I can’t watch the first 2 eps of indigo league without getting super emotional!

And honestly, I probably still love Pikachu so much to this day because I feel like I’m my most genuine self when I am passionate about my interests, even if they’re a bit childish! I got picked on for my intense love for Pokémon, Pikachu itself, and my other childish interests even when I was an actual kid!! I felt so miserable when I tried to mask my love for those things in favor for more socially acceptable interests, but it felt like I was lying all the time. I really love the colorful world of Pokémon, I have been so much happier since I’ve learned to let myself enjoy things like I did when I was a kid!

Anyways, Pikachu has always been my hugest comfort, that little happy face, electric attitude and bright yellow color always reminds me to focus on the positive and happy! Making Pikachu my persona and well, projecting on it a lot I think has sort of helped me strive to be as friendly and positive as I can! The fact that people associate me with Pikachu is such a wonderful thought ;;w;; Anyways this got so long and sappy, I just really really love Pikachu so much.... I guess everybody has a driving force that inspires them to keep on livin and to be the best they can, maybe to others it’s silly that mine is a little yellow cartoon character, but it means a lot to me and that’s all that matters ^w^

When did I start watching Haikyuu: I first watched Haikyuu around 2016, and then rewatched the past thee seasons recently!

Why did I start watching Haikyuu: I can’t honestly remember much, other than I really liked their designs? I never really watched any sports anime before HQ, and wasn’t sure what to expect. I fell in love with the characters though and ended up actually liking volleyball.

Why do I like Haikyuu: CHARACTERS!!! Of course I get hyped during the games, like to an insane amount, but the personalities and backstories and relationship dynamics have me h o o k e d. I would die for these boys and I can’t think of a character I dislike off the top of my head

Manga or Anime: I have trouble reading the manga during the volleyball scenes so I haven’t read more than around 40 chapters

Favorite Episode: It’s hard to pick but Episode 8, Season 2. We get to see a soft baby Tsuki and Yamaguchi, PLUS CAT AND OWL BOYS HARASSING OUR BEAUTIFUL MOON!! I love Tsukishima’s interactions with BokuAkaKuro

Best anime I’ve watched: In my opinion, One Piece. I love One Piece, and is a staple to my childhood and adolescence. I can watch dub or sub it’s so damn good. I love the characters and story so much, it never fails to pull me in. It is hard to first become invested but after the first 300 episodes you’re hooked lmao

Worst anime you’ve watched: Any SoA after the first. The first was okay, I liked it when it first came out and the hype wasn’t too big. It was cute, interesting, and I liked the concept. The following seasons were meaningless, annoying as hell, and they should of left it at the first.

Favorite character from your favorite anime: Perona!!! Least favorite character from your favorite anime: Blackbeard, he disgusts me Best ending of an anime you’ve watched: I mostly watch ongoing animes but I think Your Lie in April was by far the best for me

Okay so! For general, I recommend One Piece, it’s a bit hard to get into at first but promise it’s worth it!!

For sports anime I recommend: Prince of Stride! Alternative, you might not have seen it yet but the characters are adorable and parkour racing just looks cool??

For romance: Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, I love it so much!!

Why do I get bored of certain games so quickly?

I’m not sure what causes this but certain BIG titles will get me so hyped up that I’ll save up to buy it on launch day (which is a big deal for me). I even take days off sometimes if I expect something to be really great, but without fail after playing for a few weeks or a month I’m tired of it. Doesn’t matter what it is or how badly I wanted to play it, I will drop it and return to my short play session favorites: Overwatch, Fortnite etc.

Take Destiny 2 for example. Excellent game centered almost entirely around grinding and loot collecting but nonetheless it’s definitely in the upper echelon of AAA shooters. I didn’t know one person who wasn’t playing D2 on launch day and in the months thereafter. Saw it on the front page of Twitch daily and everyone I followed in the games world did nothing but sing its praises. Until one day, suddenly, there was a significant drop in player numbers before the end of 2017. Just over 3 months after release. While it isn’t uncommon for this to happen because, you know... people got shit to do around the holidays and other games are being released at this time, it still is pretty shocking to see from one of the biggest multiplayer titles of the year. Multiplayer open world games like D2 are reliant on consistent content updates and events to keep the world and gameplay alive. Counter Strike does this, Overwatch does this as well as Fortnite and PUBG and those are just a few examples of games people are still playing years after their initial and look newer with each update and patch but personally every D2 update was just more grinding to similar weapons. I believe what plagues Destiny the most is the infrequent nature at which they drop new free content and the events to me are just more of the same. Same enemies and same loot drops. Also for a game with SO much grinding, why is the base game level cap only 20?

But thats multiplayer, what about single-player experiences? This is where it becomes both an industry issue and a personal issue. I love the feeling of having a new game to run around in and new worlds to explore. Coming home from a game shop and popping a new game into the ol’ PS4 still brings me the same amount of joy as it did when I was a child. But the longer I play this new game, the less new it becomes and my attention span dwindles before I just stop playing completely. Let me quickly list the games I played and enjoyed but never finished.

Horizon Zero Dawn, played the first 8 hours of the game at launch, loved it, haven’t touched it since.

Far Cry 5, played about 20 hours and cleared the first area, liked it well enough, most of the time I went fishing and flew planes. Currently have no desire to play it more.

Dark Souls 3, one of my favorites! Haven’t beat the final 3 bosses or played any DLC. Just recently started a character.

TES V SKYRIM, probably my favorite series to date and I never beat the game. I believe I have completed maybe 60% of quests and side quests but I keep starting new character files.

Surge. Played maybe an hour and a half, never beat the first boss. Thought it was fun and interesting. Goodbye Surge, sold the copy back didn’t I?

Nioh, again thought it was great, played 4 hours of it tops, sold it back.

Persona 5. Loved that one too, played the first story beat then someone told me how long the game was and the task was too daunting for me. Still own it and maybe I’ll finish it some day.

You get the idea. I seem to start a lot of games over again. Maybe I just love the beginnings of games. Character customization and all that. And there are other factors like work schedules and such that keep me from playing anything with heavy story elements or anything that is so immersive that it might swallow up my time. But also by the time I can get into a game truly, 3 more games I’ve been excited about will come out and my attention will be averted. Most of the games I play right now are just multiplayer/online only. With the exception of Stardew Valley. No Man’s Sky, WoW, Overwatch, Fortnite and I just started playing Counter Strike again (R.I.P.) These games are all constantly being worked on and the expansions and updates that keep them fresh are free, though they do contain some micro-transactions. Maybe my tastes are changing, maybe games are being released so rapidly that I can’t keep up so I stop trying to, maybe I just can’t keep myself entertained with how fast the games industry is growing. Anyways the Overwatch Summer Games patch came out today SEE YA!

Also wanna mention you didn’t include any other characters, so I’m assuming you mean this to be a Reader styled fic? I’m hoping so because thats what I’m doing lol. Also, you didn’t include a sex but since Chloe is pretty cannonly Bi, but I’m just gonna say she’s pretty much GAY– and I’m gonna use female pronouns if necessary. ENJOY LOVE!

The music was loud, booming so fiercely that you could feel it shaking your insides with each pulse through the ground. Everyone was dancing and pressing against each other in sweaty moments and you couldn’t help but smile wide enjoying it all. The specks of light danced behind your closed eyes, and you were warm and yet comfortable. Your body swayed effortlessly as the beat pulled you alongside it and you were at peace

It was perfect.

Well, aside from the fact that you couldn’t find your friend Maddy. That part was a little annoying, but that wasn’t surprising. Maddy was always late, also you were perfectly fine just being with yourself. Enjoying the music, dancing, and… getting a very cold drink spilled down the front of your shirt.

Your favorite shirt–that was white for the record, and now it smelled like beer. “What the–”

And honestly, you really had intended on cussing whoever spilled it on you out, but holy shit was the person before you so god damn beautiful that words sorta stoped having meaning.

She had shoulder length choppy blue hair, wore a dark beanie and had a loose fitted ripped to shreds tank top, a strap hanging off one shoulder. You watched as she pulled her face back into an awkward frown, wiping her chin with the hand she held the now empty bottle then slid her doe eyes to meet yours finally.

“Fuck. I completely ruined your shirt…” She said flatly, sending her hand forward lightly gesturing at the mess.

“Yeah… I mean, it’s… fine. I probably would have spilled something on it anyway.” You lied, because actually you were almost too careful when it came to stuff like this. “Plus it was my fault, for… standing… here.”

The blue hair girl smiled again, tilting her head as she narrowed her eyes on you. “You’re joking, right? I totally just slammed into you like, full on fucking tornado slammed… and you’re taking responsibility?”

“Y-yeah?” You replied awkwardly as you returned the smile with a little more ease than you’d spoke with. “Bad habit.”

“Guess that means you owe me a beer then, huh?” The blue haired girl pulled her bottom lip between her teeth, grabbed your hand and pulled you forward towards the bar.

When you reached it, she propped both legs up on the stool, leaning far over the bar pulling the bartender into a tight hug. A second later she turned back towards you, with one arm still looped lazily around the man practically sitting on the bar.

“Meet Adam. Adam, this is my new friend….” She paused using her free hand to point your way indicating she was well and ready to know it. You offered it forward, just as awkwardly as before, and she repeated it with a smile. “Y/n here owes me a beer because well, I spilled mine all over her… Yeah it makes no sense but still, give her something good? I gotta pee.”

And she hoped down with a smile as Adam the bartender began pouring you a drink with a smile. In the few moments of silence you had, you were able to think about how fucking intriguing this girl was. Yeah, she’d just spilled a beer all over you and somehow got you to buy her a drink… but damn she was really cute and you didn’t even care.

When you reached for your wallet, the Adam shook his head and nearly laughed. “You’re with Chloe… you don’t pay.” And with a wink he pushed a glass and a bottle of beer your way then went to tend bar at the other corner.

Chloe.

When you heard her name, a small wave of butterflies went off in your stomach and a small smile spread your lips as you clenched the slightly wet beverages between your fingers anxiously waiting for her return. You just wanted to know more about her… who was she?

A second later you felt a hand pulling the neck of the bottle slowly from your grasp; the fingers lightly wrapping around your own offering another set of chills.

“Thanks.” Chloe grabbed your free hand, pulling you forward once more as she lean her head back taking a large swig from her bottle.

The music was still surrounding you, but now you also had an intense desire to be closer to her. You’d just met her yeah, but holy hell you were smitten already. She just had so much life, so much energy, and absolutely zero fucks to give. She was so… incredible to you. Fascinating.

“Wanna dance?” She turned with a smile still holding your fingers lightly. When she walked now she was doing so backwards, with her shoulders lazily hung in, sporting a bashful smile as she eye you up and down like candy.

You definitely wanted to dance, but there was something about teasing her that just seemed like much more fun, so you pursed your lips and shook your head deciding…

“You owe me. You made me spill my beer remember?” Chloe said innocently as she pulled her hands to her chest, lightly begging you with a wide smile.

And really, she was too fucking cute for her own good and something told you that you couldn’t deny her anything… A huge smile spread and you shrugged downing whatever the hell Adam had given you. Likely a Jack n’ Coke from the taste, but honestly you just made that up because you didn’t know shit about liquor other than it got you drunk.

And that is exactly what it did tonight. Being with Chloe meant free drinks apparently, and you were sufficiently wasted at this point. You didn’t even care that your friend Maddy had totally flaked like you knew she would, because honestly this was way better than hanging with her.

The intense makeout session being one of the main reasons for your not minding of course… One minute you were dancing, laughing and talking about whatever the hell you were, then the next you were in a dark corner of that club doing things you really shouldn’t be.

She was sliding her hands up your sides and chest, pulling your face closer with such determination that you could swear it was her job. Chloe turned you, kissing your neck and biting you lightly before she stopped holding your face between both of her hands. “Wanna get out of here?”

You couldn’t say anything, because this was the first time anything like this had happened to you and part of you wondered if you had just been hallucinating. Plus you didn’t exactly have the best track record for speaking tonight, so it was best to just nod in this case.

So you did, far too adamantly as you swallowed trying to steady yourself, the booze and music swimming in your mind like water. After another wicked smile Chloe grabbed your hand and pulled you towards the door leading outside.

But you didn’t walk down the road, or call a cab you went straight for the side of the building. Chloe lead you up a set of old metal stairs, still keeping your fingers locked within her own. When you two reached the top, she pulled a clunky keychain from her hip and unlocked the door.

Inside looked exactly how you imagined it would. It was a large open warehouse with concrete floors; random carpets decorating the surface and you could still feel the music pumping lightly below… There were posters and paintings everywhere, and graffiti you wonder if she’d done. She had a few bean bags, and tables here and there with a large bed on the ground by a huge window. Piles of clothes and several musical instruments were spread around like toys, and everything was just… perfect.

This girl had to be the most interesting person you’d ever met, and that was more than a little scary…

Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz. Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz.

It was Maddy, but of course it was. She probably wanted to make up some excuse about why she wasn’t there already, but right now you didn’t care. Right now you had a girl that was so fucking incredible you literally couldn’t have dreamt her up walking towards you.

The phone kept buzzing in your hands, but you barely even noticed it because now Chloe pulled off her shirt, tossing to the side lazily as she lock eyes with you once more.

You tossed the phone to the side just in time for her to reach you, placing her arms around your neck tightly and pulling you into a kiss. She kissed you rushed, passionately; biting your lip every once in awhile as she pushed you backwards towards the bed.

When you fell down it wasn’t as hard as you expected which was reassuring, but honestly you weren’t worried because holy shit was this actually happening?

You felt as she pressed kisses down your cheek and stomach, kissing each hip bone softly before undoing your pants and sliding them off with ease. She pressed down to you again, kissing you softer than before and you rolled her over her smell engulfing you like fire.

Each press was soft yet deliberate as she push into you, your soft exhales proving she was knew just what she was doing.

And really she did, you’d never had someone make you feel so fucking incredible before. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was her… but either way it was fucking intoxicating and you drank it up faster than anything else before.

The next set of events were pretty standard in this sort of thing… but the intense desire to do it again was new. So you did, and then you did again and then once more for good measure.

Now as you drift off holding that blue haired beauty, she looked up with a smile as she yawn pulling her arm into a stretch.

“Oh… I’m Chloe, by the way.” And then she closed her eyes and snuggled into your arm like she’d been there a thousand times before.

You weren’t sure if you’d ever see her again– if this would ever be anything more than just… well, this. But there something about the way she pulled you closer now, kissing your neck softly, that promised you would.
