The sound of someone so close to the woods was definitely asking to be taken or scared by the few hunters living there. The Wendigo was still lingering at the edge as it had been waiting for the return of the Archer but there wasn't any return. The sound of the dancer screaming however was enough to deter its attention for a bit as it slinked through the shadows quietly to where she had been calling from.

As the woman tapped on the ground, the hunter let out a small growling shriek as it popped its head out of the thicket of trees - jaws snapping at her.

thoughts on kaneko’s wendigo / wendigos in general? its interesting when a mythological idea becomes so pop culture telephoned it basically loses all meaning

Kaneko's Wendigo is a weird little pug-faced freak. Really leans into the Yeti semiotic and the apocryphal antlers. However, he scores some points because he is obviously "raising the roof" and is probably some sort of crazy party animal.

And yeah, the Wendigo has pretty well disintegrated into the fabric of pop culture as a horror bogeyman. He's on some sort of Krampus-type beat. Ravenous is a good movie, though.

Silky is EXTREMELY fluffy, like a Silkie Chicken

Now of course Silky learned from her mother see how to keep her fur well kempt, so whenever she is hunting, protecting her friends, or simply being a nag to Freddie she handles it well

Examples:

You could literally hide your entire 200 pound stash of cocaine into all of that fur. (Don’t do that)

Now for the last question, she will look just like a Silkie chicken if dried, but think of it as her literally just being a giant Afro at that point.

Rushing into the woods, Pearce panted slightly, still ignoring the searing pain in his stomach. At least he was wearing his old clothes, so the blood would be less visible. Coming to a stop, Pearce halted his search to catch his breath. Just how long has he been searching? He couldn't even find the usual trails before being so deep into the forest.

Pulling his hood down, Pearce's ears twitched, hoping to pick up any sound, or sense Alu's aura. Yet, all he could hear was buzzing of bugs, and the songs of birds. Gripping his sickle, Pearce trekked onwards.

Then he stopped, a sudden snap getting his attention. There it was, stalking him as Pearce froze in fear. The grip on his sickle as he held his breath. The wendigo… A creature so evil, so vile, it was enough to rattle Pearce's bones. And yet, he still didn't want to leave, it was a risk, but he'd be prepared for an attack.

"Where is she..? I know you have her hiding here… Please, I just want to fix this. I doubt I can, but I hope I'm not wrong…" As he spoke, Pearce backed away, still pointing his sickle at the creature if it did try anything. It appeared this time, Pearce wasn't going down without a fight.

As soon as the Shepherd had entered the forest, the hunter had been watching and tailing the other quietly. Sure, it was a distance away but the forest was like its own it came from and it easily found its way around - unwitting to the fox that it was keeping the man from straying to close to where Archer was. It was not time nor did the hunter feel like letting the man get off easily.

Once they were a good ways away from Archer was when the Wendigo purposefully revealed itself. Hisses escaped out of the hunter as if warning him. There was a bit of snapping of bones as it became more clear that the muzzle that was on the hunter once was now gone as it started down at him. There was a quick sound of air slicing as the weapon of the hunter slammed into Pearce's sickle, holding it close against him as it hissed slower, the croak of letters barely being heard.

"₦Ø. ⱧɄⱤ₮ ₳₴Ⱨ. ₦Ø ₥ØⱤɆ. ₦Ø ₣ł₦Đ ł ⱧɆⱤɆ" came the hissing sounds as it jolted its weapon once more to throw his sickle downwards before it let out a deafening scream.
