Hello!!! You may not know, but I am an active music enjoyer. I play flute and piccolo, and can play some one-handed songs on the piano. I really enjoy stealing arranging music for my jazz band to play, and this is my most recent project! (I'll reblog with the pdf linked in a minute)
Feel FREE to use my music for your own use, and if anyone ends up performing it, I'd love to hear it!
orchestral composers be writing things like "symphony no. 4" and "violin sonata" while band composers be writing shit like "jhon come kiss me now" and "krump"
(from "One Afternoon")
lying on the bed where pieces of my lips are scattered,
thinking of the short stories of Sait Faik,
savoring songs of an inexplicable-named band,
wondering if her desperate look in the movie was real,
That akward moment when your autism is like no large crowds and overlapping bad noises but at the same time you want more then anything to be the lead guitarist of a rock band so your just
*wants to learn and play guitar intensifies*
But also
*sensory issues intensifies when wearing makeup and just lots of people being in a area either singing or talking at once*
Now the question is what methods of stim can you do to cope and be able to play guitar?
My ideas so far is basically just soft fabrics bc it's relaxing, less makeup, possibly noise cancelling headphones that allow me to hear the rest of the band and can make it a part of the costume or look/style, lots of movement is nice so what ever the fuck kind of dance you can do with a guitar probably just leg movements.
But I make this post for ideas of other stims and things you can do and bc I want to see variations for people who play other instruments but also have sensory issues. (Feel free to add to this)
sometimes i think i suck at everything then i remember that im working on arranging Laplace’s Angel for concert band and my music production teacher (who is also the band director) is having one of our highest bands play it once its done :)
A poster I illustrated for fun based off of Tom Rosenthal’s beautiful music. I’ve been listening to his work since my early high school years when I first heard the incredible song ‘Watermelon’ 🚂🌕⛵️🍉
