Sinking Ship • Shipwrecked and hungry, found a ship run ashore, A kind stranger promised to carry me safely home. I clung to the bow, protected against turbulent waters. Till curious, I wandered deep inside, Only to find emptiness and lies, cracks appeared, ones he tried to hide, too many to mend, they opened wide, This sinking ship from the start, began to fall apart. Blamed for the holes, I was too heavy, he pushed me into the water, someone else could save me. Lost in the darkness, I watched the ship move away, slowly sinking, this was the end, what was I thinking. As I felt my weight pull me down, I sighed and wept, until I looked around.
