Why?
"I like you"
"really?! why?"
"why?" you ask
How could I not fall for you?
Your presence made me feel at ease in all the chaos,
Your voice is like a beautiful song,
that I could listen to forever
So, yes I liked you
If people ever ask me
"Why him?"
I won't be able t answer to any of them
For if I started telling them " Why" I like you
I wouldn't stop
"sometimes you just don't need a reason to like a person", they say
But for me there are countless reasons
Yet I will still say,
I like you without a reason
For if I started counting all these reasons
It would take me forever.

What can you possibly threaten me with? Cut me---and I will bleed poems. Skin me----and I will uncover unseen phases of history. Strangle me---I will perish with the smile of a believer. My art is my armor. I may be buried, but I won't die.

bold-faced liars (2024)
Love, I would rather push you away.
Then to be heartbroken as you lie to me
and painfully watch you beg to stay.

the silent battle has
left me all worn out
i am not sure how long
it has been. a day, two
perhaps months or years
the grief i carry within
has always been so heavy
i forgot whether time has
been flowing or has it all
been on a standstill ever since
silently battling the grief within.
my own poem, don't repost w/o credits pls

Phantom Skin i can feel their words like hands, ghosting me, phantom skin on skin; it makes me weary of wearing anything nice again. ~kairos💛 #poetry #poetrycommunity #poetryisnotdead #instapoetry #poetryofinstagram #poetrylovers #poetrylovers #poetrygram #igpoetry #poetryislife #poetrysociety #poetryofig #micropoetry #lovepoetry #herheartpoetry #sadpoetry #typewriterpoetry #poetryislove #poetrycommunityofinstagram #poetrybooks #poetrylove #visualpoetry #poetrylover #poetrycorner #poetrybook #poetryoftheday #poetry_addicts #spokenwordpoetry #instagrampoetry #tumblrpoetry https://www.instagram.com/p/CgiQ4TqMi6Z/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

HIM
I liked you since I caught you staring at me,
I saw you in the computer lab,
busy completing practical.
The eyes that sparkled,
Melted my heart before I asked.
The world got blured, when I looked at you,
Smiling in the frame, that captured you
My mind knows,
I never mattered to you (maybe)
But this heart can't stop falling for you.
You pass through the corridors once or twice,
My heart goes searching for the millionth time.
The wind whispers into my ears,
There he goes the man, among the peers.
All my diary pages are bored of me,
Hearing the longest monologues for praising thee.
My heart is awaiting for the day to come,
When I have the guts to say-
"I like you".

In this lifetime, you won't come across many people who would find your flaws amusing, who would complain about your vices and then laugh it away, who would make poems out of your scars and quirks, who would write songs to you, who would let you be. When you do, that's why, be brave enough to hold onto them. People like them make the cracks of your broken heart the map to an eternal solace and tenderness.
