Cluster b disorders: borderlines, narcissists, avoidants and antisocials, aren't abusive
"Narc abuse" "borderline abuse" "sociopathic abuse" don't exist because a disorder cannot be abusive
Abusive people are abusive the disorder doesn't determine that because most cluster b disorder people would rather kill themselves than hurt someone else

GUYS NOT TO GATEKEEP BUT IF YOU'RE FROM TIKTOK PLEASE DON'T BASE WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE NEURODIVERGENT (literal different BRAIN) OFF ONE QUESTION ??? 😭😭
my parents use tiktok and according to them, something that's viral right now is the question "what does 7 and 2 have in common??" (which i noticed instantly ! i was asked that when i was assessed for autism) & i haven't seen the tiktoks myself, but based on how they acted, they made it seem like if you answer anything other than "they're numbers," you're autistic ????????
so now my mom thinks she's neurodivergent — which could be very possible! i am NOT trying to discredit that possibility knowing the underdiagnosis of autism & it IS suspicious that i'm the only one in my immediate family with diagnosed autism when it's a genetic thing
however, she called my sister neurotypical (Like Her Dad™) for not answering in a 💕neurodivergent way💕, which is harmful when we really can't know for sure (and she suspects she has adhd too 😭)
and said sumn like "but that's okay i'm just neurodivergent and that's okay! everyone thinks differently"
YOU CAN BE NEUROTYPICAL AND STILL HAVE DIFFERENT THOUGHT PROCESSES FROM OTHER HUMANS THAT'S STILL POSSIBLE !! EVERYONE'S NOT EXACTLY THE SAME !!!! ONE question without any further research on neurodivergence & reflection is NOT gonna be a reliable way of telling whether or not you're neurodivergent !!!!
thank you psa over

A friend (now no longer) drove me home the other day and the conversation revealed he believes people with personality disorders ~change their voices~ when their ~other personality~ comes out
Let me tell you I almost put his head through the steering wheel

Honestly, saw a video a bit ago on tiktok. Some shit about "destigmatizing ASPD", which was all cool and shit. It was a woman responding to someone who fakeclaimed her, she said some stuff about ASPD and spoke about how she was trying to destigmatize it. Which, again, cool and all, but I go into the damn comments and GOD DAMN. The amount of demonization of NPD I saw there. Literally saw people trying to diagnose the person who fake claimed her with NPD, saying she was Narcissistic for fake claiming her, ect. And it really pissed me off, cause like... Couldn't she have deleted those comments at least? God damn. I hate it.

I’m a judgmental bitch so I gotta share how uncomfortable those mental illness “help guide” Tumblr posts make me.
SOME of them are fine, offer good tips, and are self aware that not everybody with said mental illness is going to find help in what’s being suggested. However. A LOT of them are presenting themselves as guides to “cure” your mental illness AND talk as if what they are suggesting applies to everybody with whatever disorder they are speaking about, meanwhile, putting down others with more severe and either harder to manage or incapable of managing symptoms.
This has always bothered me because there is a portion of mentally ill people that are incapable of doing what is suggested or are experiencing their symptoms in a much more severe way than the majority of people do. Knowing you are incapable of managing your symptoms in a way that seems to work for so many others and being promised a “cure” for your symptoms, while also being told that you’re a harmful trope and not a real representation of a disorder, IS SO FUCKED UP.
If you’re sitting down to make a post that says: “Real people with (this disorder) never act in (this negative way) and are just media tropes, stereotypes, etc.” OR “If you have (this disorder), this is how you can cope with severe symptoms if you failed to before and eventually, these symptoms will get better or go away!!”
I think you’re excluding a portion of us that DO act in those ways and ARE INCAPABLE of relieving our symptoms with whatever treatment we are given, including self help. Instead of showing kindness and support for that, you constantly try to put us down and say we don’t exist!!
JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN MANAGE YOUR SYMPTOMS AND DON’T LET YOUR SYMPTOMS STUNT YOUR DAILY LIFE AND RELATIONSHIPS, IT DOESN’T MEAN THAT EVERYBODY IS CAPABLE OF DOING SO.

My bad for being on Tiktok but like
The ampunt if ableism towards cluster bs, specially NPD is jusy fucming horrifying
Someone was sharing their personal experiences dating their NPD bf and how they are amazing and none at all how they are shown in media and the replies? Everyone depseratedly trying to twist them as a victim, that their bf is probably cheating or abusing them, gaslighting them, figting tooth and nail to tell the person that they should live their bf qnd that they were in danger and whatever they soad was because of abusve and manipualtion
like
holy crap
Can you IMAGINE if they had said their bf had autism instead?
You wouldn't get it because Autusm is one of the "normal weird ones"
People FLIP the switch if anything else
They are SO caught up on media and internet culture they forget that there are billions more popele than the ones theyll ever meet irl or on the internet
They have this horribke concept
Like, my god
they were calling for literal genocide and imprisoment of all people woth NPD once the person managed to have them admit NPD is a medical condition
I was fucking mortified
How come Tumblr has been the only place ive seen people with NPD (and other Ckuster Bs, or hell, any of the "evil" mental disorders like DID, Schizohrenia, Sociopaths, etc) be able to peacefully exist, form communities and talk about struggles and other people can chime in and want to respectufkly kearn
The other day i got curious and looked it up on Quora and yup
more people demonziig
from calling them "irreparably evil", "inhertly manipulators and abusers", "souless and demon influenced", and of course, the usual "they should all be inprisoned/killed off for the sake of humanity"
I never seen such horrible dmeobizatiob of people with any sort of discapacity
i KNOW we all have suffered or stil lsuffer these and its not exclusive to NOD
but this was the first time i saw it with my own eyes just how abohrrrent this can look like and how wideslread and accept this is
I wanna cry genuinely, how people think "yes this is conpeltly nornal and reasonable, tresting people like thos surely won't resukt in anything bad"
God
rucjujg
Grah
Can we for once stop automatically labelling people born with things as demons, inhert evil or whatever??? please? I'm tired
i'm tired

Unpopular opinion that might get me dragged, but tiktok really ruined some of y’all’s comprehension of mental illnesses.
Especially for cluster b personality disorders. Then throwing around terms like narcissist and bipolar and ocd like they’re words to describe the weather instead of actual conditions that change the way people interact with themselves and the world around them. Like no, Danielle, your sister isn’t a narcissist for not being able to listen to you every time you need to vent, she can’t be emotionally available at all times.
Long story short tiktok simultaneously demonized and romanticized mental illness and i think we as a whole should take a step back to actually look at what the hell we’re even talking about before using terms wrong so often that they lose their true meaning entirely
Just remember that i’m not talking about everyone on tiktok doing this, but god if it isn’t the majority of tiktok

my teacher was talking about how popular getting a degree in psychology has gotten in recent years, but that he couldn't figure out why. and I think that's an interesting thought, so pondered a bit. One of the possibilities is that people are recognizing that there aren't enough psychiatrists/therapists and people are struggling to find someone who'll treat them. Another option is that, at least in Germany (where we live), some of the qualifications have lowered and more people are able to get into a program. The last (and my least favorite) is that through all the armchair psychology that is happening online (especially on TikTok), a lot of people are flocking towards these programs, not knowing what is expecting them.

tired of people on tiktok acting like BPD and HPD are the ‘good cluster b disorders’ or the ‘victim cluster b’s’ meanwhile NPD and ASPD are the ‘evil mean abusive cluster b’s’
stfu.
we’re in the same cluster for a reason, you can’t support some whilst demonising the others.
