Aw, look at the mutant besties dancing with each other right in the center there! I bet they're having so much fun that Illyana isn't even making fun of Kitty's costume!
Colleen Coover art--I'm sorry, I meant to say glorious art--for a print for the 10th anniversary party of the Jay & Miles X-Plain the X-Men podcast.

Clea wearing blue is something else...
King-Size Spider-Man Summer Special (2008).
Writer - Paul Tobin.
Artist - Colleen Coover.
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
I'll admit, I kind of liked seeing Clea wearing a blue outfit. Even though it's an alternate version of her, I think I'd like to see something like that in Earth-616 or even in the MCU to reference at least.
I know purple, black, and pink is her default, but it wouldn't be a bad thing to see a different color on her in Earth-616 or in the MCU.

I wonder how much trouble I’d get into if I told a patron “We’re out of Colleen Hoover books, but you’ll love Colleen Coover!” and handed then a copy of BANDETTE?

Bandette Volume 1: Presto! by Paul Tobin and Colleen Coover
I'd been wanting to read Bandette for years, and it did not disappoint. It's fun, witty, and fast-paced. The comparison made in the extra materials in the book to Modesty Blaise are not without merit. As a fan of lady spies (thanks to my favorite show of all time, Alias,), I really enjoyed Bandette's missions and the antics that accompany them, as well as her ability to get out of sticky situations in silly yet smart ways.
I'll definitely be looking for the next volume soon.

WHAT?! Somehow, we've been doing this for a decade?!
Jay & Miles X-Plain the X-Men will be celebrating our 10th birthday on April 13 in Portland, Oregon, with a live show at Clinton Street Theater (10 AM - 12 PM) followed by a birthday party at Books With Pictures (2 - 5 PM)!
RSVP HERE FOR ONE OR BOTH EVENTS!
FINE PRINT:
Both events are free and all-ages-friendly (assuming you're down with your kid learning a few choice swears).
The live show is mask-mandatory; masks will be provided at the door for anyone who doesn't bring their own. (The party is outdoors and therefore mask-optional.)
There will be both party favors (free) and merch (legal currency or barter), the latter including a fancy new 10th-anniversary print by Colleen Coover!
We welcome costumes and other benign silliness.
