LWJ's string technique is one of my favoyrite things.#We do get a fair amount of LWJ fighting but I always loved how the theme of strings comes into play.#There is actually a lot to unpack with LWJ being associate with 'strings'.#The musicianship: Of dedication and rigor in one's practice.#The tension between following along a path or composing your own way forwards (playing what has been written vs composing)#A string is a tightly coiled/taunt entity; The same tension that makes it sing so beautifully can be it's downfall if pushed too hard.#And as a non-musical string - something that binds. Be it to his sect and family or how he binds his fate to WWX -#LWJ cannot exist without his binds. It is not something which ties him down though. It keeps him together.#And he himself *is* a bind. He 'ties wwx down' in ways that are initially negatively viewed ('come to gusu' - feels like: come be trapped)#But later it is shown how (despite being introduced as a free spirit) WWX truly wants to be bound to something and someone.#Marriage is a bind he wants. He wants to be tied and grounded by LWJ.#It's starting to sound like innuendo. Let's call his fondness for being literally tied up smart thematic writing.#Finally. Will never stop thinking about how Leo, all alone in an endless void and being beaten again and again and again by the only other living thing around, still finds comfort in that space. The situation he was in was completely hopeless, and in any other circumstances he would not have escaped, at least not fast enough to save him from permanent (or even fatal) damage, be it physical or mental.

And yet, despite the bleakness of his situation, despite the agony and helplessness, all he needs is one glance at a crumbled photograph, one glance to remember his family, and that’s enough of a reason for him to smile.

Maybe that’s why his powers center around manipulating space - because no matter how much space is between them, no matter how dire his own situation may be, just the thought of his family, alive and okay, is enough to give Leo hope.

jasico server was chatting about the cupid scene and jason getting nico's memories blasted straight into his brain and how jason being shot with one of cupid's arrows while with nico and this was just never brought up in canon again and now i'm thinking like...what if that's just how cupid's arrows work? not by magically manifesting love for someone out of nothing, but by giving someone the perspective that'd make them fall in love naturally? jason gets a front row seat to nico's memories and instantly understands him intimately and can trust him completely without any doubt or suspicion

so what if jason, after slowly realizing he's totally in love with nico, just thought back to the arrow incident and it made him second-guess everything? because maybe he's only feeling this way because cupid hit him with an arrow with only nico was around and it's no different than any other god messing with his love life

as a resident bagel lover and therefore bagel expert, here is how the party eats their bagels. i'm right.

mike: toasted plain bagel with plain cream cheese. he likes what he likes even if it's basic. probably doesn't eat bagels that often but when he does he savors them.

lucas: toasted everything bagel with plain cream cheese. can be persuaded to have chive and onion cream cheese instead on occasion. max wipes the seeds off of his face because they get EVERYWHERE (i eat everything bagels a lot. i promise this is true)

dustin: okay so he's very very meticulous about spreading cream cheese. but the kicker is. he does not actually eat cream cheese on his bagels. he prefers them toasted with butter, which gets him some Looks but it's what he likes and he's happy with it. however, whenever the party (mainly max) is having issues spreading cream cheese, he is always happy to help and proportions the cream cheese EXACTLY RIGHT every time (he's so me)

max: bagel sandwiches all the way!!! egg and cheese on a bagel. sausage egg and cheese on a bagel. tomatoes and veggies and cream cheese on a bagel etc etc. do not make that girl eat open face bagels she WILL kill you
