Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Webby and Launchpad in Australia with animals - Australia Day - Ducktales 1987 and Duckverse
Yes, I am late, because Australia Day is celebrated on the 26th of January, but for some reason I didn't get to finish it until now. However, since I'm currently in the spirit of Australia, I'm going to publish some drawings of our heroes related to that country.
By the way, Australia Day is celebrated because on that day, in 1788, the first fleet made landfall and raised the British flag under the command of Arthur Phillip and founded Sydney there. Admittedly, the first settlers were prisoners.
Another drawing I'm dedicating to Australia Day is a drawing in which Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Webby Vanderquack and Launchpad McQuack go to Australia to investigate why Scrooge's sheep farm is disappearing. Of course, this is from the episode "Back Out in the Outback", I think it's a very good episode from Ducktales 1987 and I wish there was more dedication to certain episodes. Yes, in addition to our heroes, there is Sundowner, the farm caretaker and Scrooge's friend, as well as the Ratbags and Duke Duggan, villains who want to destroy Scrooge's business, but there's Launchpad who got them. Yes, Sundowner, although he appeared once, for me was a great character who was very Australian, and he too was played by the legendary Rob Paulsen. Yes, there are Australian animals, which little Webby Vanderquack is especially fond of and she is in the mother kangaroo bag, along with a koala who eats a lot of eucalyptus, and there is a baby kangaroo who is with Louie, as well as a dingo dog (Sundowner's guard dog) who is with Dewey. Yes, dedicated to that episode, I combined various redraw scenes and put it on my own drawing, which I drew in my own style.
I hope you like this drawing and love these animals as well as Australia itself and please feel free to like and reblog this, especially if you are a fan of Ducktales 1987. Although belated, I wish everyone a happy Australia Day!

Welcome to the Animal Besties Tournament!
Tumblr media
Nominate your favorite animal support here! We are accepting those from noble steads to best friend monkeys and secret agent platypuses. Show your love for lucky crickets and tailoring mice alike.
If you're here for the right hand of our heroes, the companion of a princess, or the minion of some villain, all are acceptable and deserving of appreciation.
You can pick from any Disney media; animated, live action, TV show, or Direct to DVD and everything in between. Again, we will not accept characters acquired by the company after their release, like early Star Wars, but we will accept recent Star Wars.
EDIT! IMPORTANT! We have changed our rules, we will accept non-Disney animals (as long as they abide by the other rules below) HOWEVER they will be a separate/second bracket and will not exceed the number of Disney characters. In the end the winner of each will face off in the ULTIMATE final.
The only exception are the actual best friends in stories centered on animal characters, like "Finding Nemo" (2003) or "The Fox and the Hound" (1981). (unless you have a really good reason for why we should include them, then we will consider it. But you must include the defense.)
Feel free to submit multiple characters as long as each has their own form.
The submission form will close August 6th.
We reserve the right to change details as we see fit.
signal boost: @disney-film-tourney @disneyvillainbracket @disneychanneltournament @bestanimatedmovie @poll-o-sphere @princesspoll @the-mouse-joust @the-robot-bracket @the-worst-bracket @piratepairoff

Character Alignment Chart - Duckverse (Donald Duck Comics - My version)
It doesn't look very good, but here I am making my Characters Alignment Chart as I think it goes in most Donald Duck comics. Yes, there are more characters missing, but I have chosen the most important ones.
Grandma Duck - Lawful Good
Gyro Gearloose - Neutral Good
Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck - Chaotic Good
Daisy Duck - Lawful Neutral
Donald Duck - True Neutral
Scrooge McDuck - Chaotic Neutral
Flintheart Glomgold and John D. Rockerduck - Lawful Evil
Beagle Boys - Neutral Evil
Magica De Spell - Chaotic Evil
By the way, what do you think about this? Does it really fit or should something be added or changed?

Scrooge McDuck in Australia in search of a shiny crocodile egg - The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck - Donald Duck and Joey the Kangaroo - Daddy Duck - Australia Day - Duckverse
The first drawing I drew was related to The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and the comic "The Dreamtime Duck of the Never-Never", which was the seventh part of the cult album by Don Rosa and tells about Scrooge's trip to Australia and his many misadventures . Scrooge met the highwayman and saved the aborigine from that highwayman. That aborigine is called Jabiru the aborigine and he is a representative of the indigenous people who lived in Australia. Scrooge found a brilliantly decorated egg that was worth a fortune, yet hearing from Jabiru the dream stories, otherwise known as Dreamtales, which were painted in the cave, he gave up on it and moved on in search of greater riches. I drew Scrooge, Jabiru, and a bound highwayman in a cave that was painted with various images that foretell Scrooge's future (you can see the Money Bin and Scrooge's future family members Donald and Huey, Dewey, and Louie). By the way, I used painting motifs as used by Aboriginal people and as used by Don Rosa in his comics, but I combined them in my own ways. Yes, and music related to these drawings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLVPgNjQ5kg
The second drawing is a redraw from the Donald Duck classic short "Daddy Duck" from 1948, directed by Jack Hannah, where Donald adopts a baby kangaroo named Joey the Kangaroo. Although mischievous, that kangaroo still loved his adoptive father Donald, as he loved him, and in my opinion it is one of the few moments (at least as far as Jack Hannah is concerned) where Donald finally had a happy ending. Yes, I drew it, because after all, kangaroos live in Australia.
I hope you like these drawings and these ideas and feel free to like and reblog this! And happy belated Australia Day!

Ranking 50 Disney Dogs pt2
Ranking all (ish) the dogs from Disney according to a very scientific process averaging scores on Design (how much I like the character design) Breed Alignment (how much they look like the breed they’re going for.. or just how much like a dog), Personality (how I much I like them as a character) and if applicable , voice acting (how much I like the vocal performance. [Disney Animation theatrical releases only-- no Pixar, no straight to home video, no partially live action] Link to part 1 What you’ve been waiting for! Or what you skipped to. The top dogs!
Tumblr media
25. Pluto THE Disney dog! Unfairly discriminated against by his peers of core disney cast!
Tumblr media
24. Boris the borzoi- Lady and the Tramp He’s a borzoi! Where else are you gonna find an animated borzoi?!
Tumblr media
23. Colonel- One Hundred and One Dalmatians  Did you know in the sequel book Sgt Tibbs (or his book equivalent cat) is declared an “honorary dog” by Sirius the Dog Star? So you can count him as tied for this place
Tumblr media
22. Peg- The Lady and the Tramp A design with SO MUCH personality.
Tumblr media
21. Little Brother- Mulan He’s just so DIFFERENT looking from all these other dogs. I suspect that--like the horses in this movie-- he’s based off a particular art style and that’s why he doesn’t quite fit with anything else even within his own movie.
Tumblr media
20. Perdita- One Hundred and One Dalmatians  I was going to give you her Disney Wiki picture and say something about she’s the closest thing Disney has to a 50s housewife, but instead have this super ominous Perdita statue to rule over you. Bow to your Supreme Leader Perdita, for she is housewife no longer!
Tumblr media
19. Toby- The Great Mouse Detective The quintessential Good Boy
Tumblr media
18. Francis- Oliver and Company He’s Shakespearean and we love that.
Tumblr media
17. Napoleon and Lafayette- The Aristocats  I ranked them separately. Scored them differently in various categories. And they came out to exactly the same score. Inseparable. A dynamic duo. Batman and Robin who? These are the real crimefighters.
Tumblr media
16.  Goofy Is Goofy identifiable as a dog if you aren’t told that he is one? I don’t know about that. But he’s GOOFY.
Tumblr media
15. Pongo- One Hundred and One Dalmatians Okay I promise this is the last 101 Dalmatians character.
Tumblr media
14. Max- The Little Mermaid He’s what we call the breeder’s standard.
Tumblr media
13. Chief- The Fox and the Hound Am I trying to convince you to overlook certain aspects of Chief by choosing this particular picture? Who can say.
Tumblr media
12. Roscoe and DeSoto- Oliver and Company I love a good villain. And Dobermans.
Tumblr media
11. Tito-Oliver and Company Played and drawn with every bit of manic energy that a chihuahua needs
Tumblr media
11. (Tie) Georgette- Oliver and Company “Perfect Isn’t Easy” was doing “Fabulous” long before Sharpay Evans.
Tumblr media
10. Jock- Lady and the Tramp A dog who suffers no fools
Tumblr media
9. Bolt- Bolt His biggest flaw is that John Travolta was NOT a good casting choice. Other than that he’s adorable.
Tumblr media
8. Nana- Peter Pan This movie may be problematic but Nana certainly isn’t.
Tumblr media
7. Rita- Oliver and Company This dog is wearing eye shadow. And also “Streets of Gold” is criminally underrated.
Tumblr media
6. Lady- Lady and the Tramp I don’t really have much to say. She’s cute. It’s a good design. She’s a good character.
Tumblr media
5. Trusty- Lady and the Tramp Look at that action shot. His hero moment.
Tumblr media
4. Tramp- Lady and the Tramp I originally had Tramp 7th and Rita 4th... did I make a mistake switching them? Tramp doesn’t sing. Tramp isn’t wearing eye shadow. But Rita doesn’t have a song about her either...
Tumblr media
3. Stitch- Lilo and Stitch He used to be a collie before he got ran over
Tumblr media
2. Copper- The Fox and the Hound “When you’re the best of friends *muffled sobbing* having so much fun together *louder sobbing*”
Tumblr media
1. Dodger- Oliver and Company He sings the best Disney song. He’s voiced by Billy Joel. He’s got a celebrity endorsement: Chris Evans named his dog after Dodger. Easily the best Disney dog.
“But Cogentranting” you say, “ you put two dogs each for number 11 and number 17, that means there are fifty-TWO dogs on this list. The title’s a lie” and I say WRONG SIr. Clearly number 3 and number 46 (Stitch and Obby) are NOT dogs at all. So there are Fifty! And you say, “okay but there are multiple dogs for both 50 and 49.” I have no answer for this. I hang my head and shame and bid you adieu.
