Diasomnia monster AU

And finaly an In-depth look of the Diasomnia monster gang!

first we have the great Malleus Draconia! The black Dragonborn. Had to do this one because I’m a huge dnd nerd and it fit so well to have him in a partial draconic form. He can still turn into a large dragon though.

Description: he is a large black Dragonborn with green skin underlying his unbreakable dark scales. his dark horns still adorn his head and his eyes glow emerald green and with power. He has a smallish draconic snout and perfectly sharp fangs and teeth in his mouth. His body is covered with tough scales. His hands are strong and tipped with purple claws. He also has a long strong dark tail with a few long sharp spines behind him as he walks. his clothes are tailored for his tail and more pointed features.

fun fact: whenever he eats ice cream, his tail wags. Has accidentally tripped people and knocked stuff over when this has happened.

The trusted father guardian of the dorm, Lilia. Wanted to go with a creature known for its age and smarts. A sphinx worked perfectly. But also wanted some bat stuff so kinda made a chimera more than a sphinx.

description: from the waist up Lilia looks the same as in-game, his fangs are a bit more noticeable due to his vampire bat likeness. His lower half is that of a great sphinx. The body of a dark brown, almost black lion with the gigantic wings of a bat. his paws look rather soft and unassuming but he's got some wicked claws for those that threaten him or his family. his tail is similar to a lion's as well, but it has dyed stripes on the puff of fur at the tip. his wings are much larger than they seem and are incredibly difficult to damage. they are covered in faint scars from battles in the past.

fun fact: Lilia creates a hammock for himself with his wings to sleep from the ceiling. has also used his wings to "nest" those he cares about.

the sleepy knight Silver. I wanted some sort of sleep-based monster and found the personifications of dreams in Greek mythos. Thought it fit him perfectly!

description: Silver looks a lot like his in-game self, biggest differences are the soft wisps of fog that are usually around him and the 8 wings along his body. instead of normal ears, he has 2 fluffy silver-colored wings on the sides of his head. On the outer parts of his shoulders is another set of small silver wings, and 2 wings per ankle. The wings can grow when he focuses to allow him flight, can fly silently like an owl. when he is asleep the fog thickens and you can see shapes in the cloudy air that represent the different dreams he is having. also uses his ear wings to cover his eyes when sleeping.

fun fact: the fog will make others around him fall asleep if inhaled for more than a minute. Takes a potion to nullify the fog to not make half the class pass out.

And of course the loud Sebek! Couldn’t find any specific crocodile based monsters. Originally he was going to be like a yeti cause they were known to be loud enough to cause avalanches. But found that many refer to him as a crocodile so found the interesting story of the croc version of the morgawr.

description: Sebek looks mostly as he did in-game as well, with a few key differences. The large spotted/striped yellow and dark green crocodile tail behind him, and the more prominent pointed teeth sticking out of his mouth are the biggest changes. He's still loud as ever and has sharp reptilian eyes. His mouth is full of straight, sharp, pointed teeth, with a few of the frontmost sticking out of his closed lips. his tail usually hangs low but doesn't quite reach the ground to drag behind him.

Fun fact: needs to sun at least once a day to keep his body temperature up or else he will fall asleep. has been mortified when he was woken up by silver when he was supposed to be watching malleus.

we're up to 10 dnd sidequests at the moment, which is exactly enough for a full poll.

the magical misfits (jammer, dream/k, sam, & evan), creepy co-eds (terry, megan, tuti iv, & seven), and prefrontal p.i.s (conrad, anastasia, hunch, imelda, dan, & the fix) are not in this poll because they do not have leveling systems, let alone one that reaches level 20, so if you want to vote for them, please vote other and give your reasoning.

hii first of all i love your blog, your writing and your style! seconddd have you seen this new theory going around that eddie might come back as a vampire bc of an existing character in dnd?? of course this got me thinking of even more possibilites with him and the lost boys ahhhh

I have definitely been seeing that and SOOOOOOOO MUCH GOOD FANART AHHH

I’m pretty sure it was Kas(?) who was resurrected in the campaign and that’s what people have been kind of playing off of. I personally don’t really think he’ll come back, BUT that does not matter for our purposes because that is our boy now and he can live on as we desire lol

I really love the idea of Eddie being resurrected or becoming a vampire/vampire adjacent monster, and being really confused and somehow ending up in Santa Carla. Maybe he starts out in the upside down, the gang saves him and brings him back to Hawkins, but he still can’t exactly…stick around. He’s still wanted for murder and there’s no way he’s getting a fair trial in a town that wanted to just kill him anyways, so maybe he just…leaves. He has big hang ups about running, but everyone convinces him that it isn’t cowardly at all to save yourself, so he just starts heading west because he’s always heard that the coast is full of little towns that are popular for runaways and criminals, and he sort of falls under that umbrella.

He travels by night, getting the hang of surviving on his own while he wishes he didn’t have to. He’s tough now, though, and as unbelievable as it is, he’s read and watched enough fantasy and horror to know what he is now. It’s easy enough to figure that he should avoid the sun and that he’s gonna need a little bit more than a burger and fries for dinner. Feeding is hard when you’re such a big softie, though, and he barely manages it, just doing the bare minimum while he makes his way to Santa Carla, California.

It’s the perfect town for a guy like him. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get a very warm welcome—the resident vampires zero in on him immediately, and they’re not too happy to see somebody hunting on their turf. Eddie, of course, has no idea how vampire society or etiquette works, and he’s just kind of got his hands up in surrender as these terrifying dudes corner him in an alley one night. They’re mostly just trying to figure out if he’s alone, where he came from, and what his vibes are like, but to Eddie, they’re almost as scary as Vecna, and it isn’t until they back off that he stops shaking.

“Whoa, dude,” the short one says, “you’re shaking like a fuckin leaf. You gotta eat soon or something??”

“Yeah, I only ever get the shakes like that if I’m fucking starving,” the taller blonde says.

“You need to feed.” The leader says. “We’ll finish this later.”

And Eddie just blinks as they lead him to the beach, and he enjoys the brutality of their hunting way more than he thought he could. That night, he finally finds a place he belongs, and a weird, fucked up family to call his own.

Alternatively:

The boys corner Eddie. They’re all fangs and snarls, intending to scare him shitless so that he never dreams of hunting in their territory, before one of them pushes past the others, lets out an annoyed sigh, and flicks his cigarette butt away.

“Eddie Munson.” He bites out. “Why the hell can’t Hawkins just stay in Hawkins, huh?”

And eddie’s eyes widen when he sees none other than Billy Hargrove, former king of Hawkins high, wearing his signature leather jacket and sporting bright yellow-orange eyes just like the others.

“You know this guy?” Paul asks, looking at Billy.

“Not really.” Billy shrugs. “But he’s not one of the annoying ones, at least.”

Ohoho thank you for asking me about this! It's been a while since I've thought about this AU, but it's actually the oldest one I have! Naturally, it's kinda Devil's Nest centric (because this is my AU and I get to choose who it's about) but it was actually originally created with more of a focus on Ed, Al, Winry, Ling, and Lan Fan as a traveling party. I’m also not gonna pretend that it’s in any way DnD lore accurate, more just created as a fun experiment where I could think about my guys even more. That being said

Them. :)

Some basic DnD info for each of them under the cut!

Greed

A barbarian of the Path of the Beast. Rather than his carbon shield form which he can activate at any time in the anime, Greed only gains his alternate form during rages. He has a preference for using his claws to fight.

Son of an archdevil whom he only refers to as Father, he is something like a half-devil. A large majority of the time he can pass as an unusually strong tiefling. His appearance has led him to be shunned from general society.

He’s a fluent speaker of infernal and common.

He has proficiency in athletics, persuasion, and intimidation.

His highest stats are constitution and charisma. His lowest is dexterity.

He doesn’t particularly want to hurt people and only likes to do good for himself (or so he thinks.) He holds a grudge against anybody trying to rule over him. He’s chaotic neutral.

Dolcetto

A fighter of the Samurai Archetype. He fights only for Greed and his friends. He has an interception based fighting style and his weapon of choice is a katana.

He’s a Longtooth shifter which gives him various dog-like traits such as a tail, a preference for being with a group, and a shifted form that resembles a werewolf. When shifted, he has strong fangs that can be used in place of melee.

He’s a fluent speaker of common, quori, and draconic.

He has proficiency in athletics, acrobatics, perception, and insight.

His highest stats are strength and dexterity. His lowest is constitution.

His interests lie solely in the well-being of his friends, and due to his past of imprisonment, he dislikes systemic authorities. He’s chaotic neutral.

Martel

A ranger of the Gloom Stalker conclave. A survivalist through and through, she favors hunting beasts and has a climate preference of forests. Her fighting style focuses on thrown weapons with a preference for knives.

Born a half-elf of wood elf ancestry, Martel was subject to a failed ritual to turn her into a yuan-ti. She retains some yuan-ti traits such as scales, fangs, and a mainly carnivorous diet.

She’s a fluent speaker of common, elven, and quori.

She has proficiency in perception, stealth, survival, acrobatics, and nature.

Her highest stats are dexterity and intelligence. Her lowest is strength.

Despite the yuan-ti ritual, she still holds the values of protection and friendship that she grew up with. She has a general dislike for people ruling over her. She’s chaotic neutral.

Roa

A barbarian of the Path of the Totem Warrior. In a similar vein to someone of the bear totem, he harnesses the toughness of the ox when he fights. His preferred weapons are war hammers.

He’s an ox-like Beasthide shifter. Due to his shifter nature, he has bovine traits such as tough skin, an almost entirely herbivorous diet, and an intense dislike for going down staircases.

He’s a fluent speaker of common and quori.

He has proficiency in perception, athletics, and intimidation.

His highest stats are constitution and strength. His lowest is charisma.

Jaded by a tough life, Roa focus little attention on doing good outside of what regards his close friends, but he also lacks malicious intent. He tends to dislike authorities. He’s chaotic neutral.

Bido

A rogue of the Scout Archetype, he serves as the gang’s information master. He doesn’t like using weapons in general, but his weapon of choice is a knife.

He’s half-kobold and half-lightfoot halfling. His small stature gives him an advantage in matters of sneaking and hiding from his foes. Due to his kobold ancestry, however, he has worse sight in the sun and is thus less effective during the day.

He’s a fluent speaker of common, halfling, and draconic.

He has proficiency in acrobatics, deception, sleight of hand, nature, survival, and stealth.

His highest stats are dexterity and charisma. His lowest is strength.

Only strongly dedicated to his boss, he lacks interest in doing good or bad. He has little preference for chaos or order and instead takes the most efficient route. He’s true neutral.

It’s really fun to think about this AU again, so thank you for asking about it! :D

Ughh now with the release of the new ST profile pics the Eddie is Kas theorists are at it again. I just want Eddie to stay dead lol, like fr if he were a vampire (which already sounds ridiculous) what can the gang do other than to kill him again? Plus if the DnD theory is correct and Kas is the one killing Vecna that's like so fucking bad because if anyone deserves to kill Vecna it's El or Will fr, why does Eddie get this huge plot thing as a side character who didn't do shit the entire season 4.

Do you believe in the theory? I mean it's kinda suspicious how Stranger Things plays into it, they have to know about it. I just really hope he stays dead

I'll be completely frank and say I hope the Eddie/Kas theory doesn't happen purely because the idea of an outright vampire being in ST just... doesn't seem right. The Duffers would have to do a ton of legwork in the world building department to get it right, and they haven't been impressing me much on that front.

Stranger Things is a science fiction show, not a supernatural fantasy, though the series does blur the line at times. The core difference between fantasy and sci-fi is that sci-fi (generally) needs an explanation for the things that happen, while fantasy can get away with a lot more logistical things. ST has been getting really sloppy in the logistics department, particularly in S4. The entire Henry/One/Vecna backstory was sloppy and didn't make a ton of sense. If Eddie becomes a vampire, 1) the Duffers are going to have to make this vampirism fit into their already established universe--if it's just Eddie with fangs™ and dark makeup it's not really going to fit with the established world, 2) they're going to have to differentiate this vampirism from other established vampires in media because, again, it has to fit with the world building, and 3) the Duffers will have to come up with a solid explanation for how and why it happened, and I really don't think they can. Why would Vecna need a human/vampire foot soldier when he has far stronger monsters at his disposal? Eddie can't be used as a spy like Will because Eddie is a person of interest in a serial murder investigation and presumed dead by the main cast.

What's the point of killing Eddie just to bring him back? It's not like El, who was actually a main character in S1. Or Hopper, who's been a main character all four seasons. Eddie was barely in the entire middle section of S4, and the only character he was particularly close with was Dustin (and apparently Mike). Like, sorry St.ddie fans, but they didn't actually have that much of a connection that I think Steve would be devastated beyond survivor's guilt, and even then he'd probably feel way more guilty about Max being hurt. The majority of the main cast either didn't know him personally--that we were shown--prior to the season (Steve, Nancy, Erica, Max, Robin), presumably didn't know him at all (Jonathan, Will, El, Joyce, Hopper), or did know him (Dustin, Mike, Lucas) but had no interactions with him all season (Mike) or were barely concerned with his plot at all (Lucas).

In short, bringing Eddie back would be pandering for the fans. There's no reason to do it. Realistically, the Duffers wouldn't even pull it off well. The bestie and I have talked about how throwing known supernatural creatures into ST canon is just not a vibe unless it's a completely distinct creature and "vampire" is just the best analogy the kids come up with. I also think Eddie/Kas killing Vecna would be... terrible writing when there are other characters who have suffered more because of Vecna. If anything, Will being Kas would make more sense narratively if they hadn't already done a possession plotline with him.

Granted, I'm also of the opinion that Eddie isn't a good character. Nothing against Joseph Quinn or anything, but Eddie is a character that didn't need to exist. Need a loner-freak character? Jonathan is right there. Need an older male figure for Dustin to hang out with? Steve is right there. Need someone to hotwire an RV? In S3 it was established that Jonathan was decent with cars and also his own car is a piece of junk so I wouldn't be surprised if he'd had to hot-wire it before. Need a kick off point to get everyone gathered together after a sudden murder suspected to be other-worldly/occult? Will Byers was bullied for "coming back from the dead". It wouldn't take much to setup the idea that the town thinks Will was involved with the murders when there's already rumors about his disappearance and supposed death.

Eddie did not need to exist in S4. He doesn't need to come back for S5. And if he does it's only going to be done to please the fans, not for the sake of a compelling narrative.

dnd: vampire the masquergayde pt 2

this one shot will be going into a PART THREE bc we are indecisive as hell

i cast a bunch of spells for fun and profit: thaumaturgy for our grand entrance into the masquerade ball: big crash of thunder, all windows open, flash of lightning, all lights dim for thirty seconds

another fancy prettyboy whomst i hate and was in a palette-swapped version of my outfit HOW DARE( also we discussed how dressing in light colors and lots of florals is probably some sort of fashion counterculture movement for vampires, which has really interesting implications i want to explore more of later) anyway

this other fancy prettyboy insulted my date so I challenged him to a duel adn won by cheating. bc i had Invisible Servant spill wine all over him, trip him, and break the heel off his shoe so he tripped again (”can i offer u a magical ring in this trying time?” asks our cleric)

and then did the thing where u point the buisness end of the weapon under a fallen enemy’s chin and ask them really sweetly if they’re done fucking around yet

made out on a balcony with my date

I asked what my date thought of me at one point and our DM just kind of sighed and sad “This very beautiful man is telling me some absolute bullshit “.

upstairs: son of the lady of the house has a fantasy frat bro room. dad of the house has a lot of #reciepts about his crimes that we stole to blackmail him with. lady of the house doesn’t seem to be caught up in all this, did catch us sneaking through her stuff but was successfully Charmed and is now on our side bc our snerson (snake person) cleric has like a +8 to charisma

downstairs: Commune with Animals bone charm, lots of animals! because the dude who lives in this house has been setting them loose around town and in the resulting havoc stealing shit! because he’s rich and bored and thinks this is an appropriate hobby/useage of time! also a truly alarming number of bodies buried in the basement, many ghosts, our fighter got very excited about fighting the ghosts but then promised to avenge them

i wildly failed distracting everyone for a second time and had to sneak downstairs through the kitchen to check on our fighter, but it was cool bc the lesbians my character pays to cater his fancy parties were also catering this party and gave us extra fancy pastries.

armed with fancy pastries, i just kind of stumble into the room our fighter is spying on bc i have made a number of bad rolls in a row. i hire the guard watching the beasties away by flirting with him and promising him double whatever the baddie is paying (”are you part of the union??? are you even getting dental from him???”)

our current plan is to use the bone charm to let an owlbear rampage through the party upstairs to cause general havoc bc it’s fun and also expose the baddie’s shenanigans bc who the fuck keeps an owlbear in their basement for Good Purposes

I- the gnome is Neon I take no criticism. They are often good-natured souls with a more mischievous side, and if that doesn’t describe Neon I’m not sure what does. Playful, funny, good intentions, that my good Bean is our lovable cat personified. Okay Parhelion dnd au with gnome Neon please /j.

I- oh no,, time to fail the exam I guess (turns all your head canons upside down)

Okay they do sleep yes they do. Actually that’s a lie only Ciel sleeps, the other two are insomniacs. Ciel has all of her day to day life planned out to the minute, so she heads to bed at a certain time and wakes up at a certain time, the other two are more of a “we’ll sleep when we’re tired” kinda duo. Unfortunately due to Ilia’s night terrors and Neon’s ADHD they almost never rest. No they do not sleep in a SANE bed, ha why would they have a bed? They sleep in a hammock all tangled up with each other. It’s hard to tell what order they sleep in when they kinda curl into each other. They do not use a duvet, why have a duvet when Neon is a space heater? There are no pillows on the hammock X). OKAY THEIR ROOM, THIS I GOT, it’s a funky mess that is somehow organized thanks to Ciel. Ilia doesn’t own a lot in general but it was her life’s dream to paint her bedroom rainbow so guess what they have now. The other two are too soft and they supported her efforts and they love her despite her poor design sense XD.

I- why closet ASDFG I mean— No they do not share a closet they all have completely different fashion sense and if that was all in one place people would be genuinely terrified. But since they’re broke they had to make do with one walk in closet that they partitioned off into sections. YES THEY DO HAVE MATCHING OUTFITS THEY ARE SO CUTE LIKE THAT. They tend to be like those cute couple outfits with a few variations to match their own personal style. But their favorite matching outfit are these duck hoodies they own courtesy of once again Ilia living out her childhood dreams. No they don’t own many outfits because like I mentioned earlier they are broke x). Hmm thinking about each other’s styles… Ilia think both of her girlfriends have great taste, she loves the well, neon of Neon, and the prim and properness of Ciel. Neon just doesn’t care XD. And Ciel is just, she’s just standing there wishing she could help their fashion sense, but she holds back because “It does suit them in an odd way.” Ciel gets the most compliments on her style hands down, she looks organized and you can bet she saves money to buy outfits that actually accentuate her cuteness. They don’t wear makeup no time for that (in which you learn Z has little to no knowledge in how to apply makeup and doesn’t know how to answer that question)

OH OKAY I LOVE VIDDY GAMES. Ciel likes real-time strategy games because she’s insane and that’s literally all she knows in life thanks to being raised in an upper class family in Atlas. Neon likes open world games, something something she likes the chance for adventure and determining one’s fate for themself. Ilia has never once played a video game until after she defected from the White Fang but I can see her playing something light like Stardew Valley, low stakes kinda games. Hmm, they might play Animal Crossing together? Since it has aspects they all enjoy. They each have an individual switch (Ilia has a coral switch lite) and one shared PC. Okay game with most hours, maybe Minecraft? They still haven’t beat the enderdragon because Neon keeps getting distracted XD. Neon is the bomb at party games though, you can bet she has a perfect score on all the songs in Just Dance. Ciel is a sharpshooter, god knows who taught her how to shoot like that. The biggest splatoon fan is unfortunately not Neon it is Ilia, she loves all the colors in the game ^^. But she and Neon have wracked up quite a few hours in co-op.

Uhhh books!! Ilia likes fanfics :) it’s unfortunately one of the only ways for her to see positive representation of herself. Neon for some reason reads Epics?? Like her favorite is the Epic of Gilgamesh what is up with that?? Ciel reads webtoons :), she reads enough serious stuff for school work and such, she likes to just kick back and relax after all that. Yes they have schedules reading time courtesy of Ciel :). Uhh, they relax by baking together. None of them had many chances to indulge in sweets while growing up so they make full use of their time now. ?? SPOON?? Cuddle hours happen on a whim, the one thing that Ciel can never schedule because she never knows when it’ll occur. They relax the most in the kitchen x) because that’s where they bake, it’s not unusual to find Neon asleep on the counter while she waits for their sweets to rise. They read in the light, Neon is afraid that by reading in the dark that they’ll all ruin their eyesight. Ciel likes the sunrise because she’s up the earliest and is the only one to see it, the other two prefer sunset because that’s usually when their day is about to begin XD.

Favorite spot for dates! The park ^^, they like to go on picnic dates with all their baked goods. There is no plan, usually one of them will randomly pull the other two out of the house because they haven’t touched grass in a while XD. There are no ideas, they share one braincell and they spend too much time doting on each other to use it. Uhm favorite movie genre,,, they like comedy movies :). Their favorite place to eat is this tiny store on the corner of their street that makes mean gyros, they heccin’ love them. Coping with horror, Ilia is desensitized to horror because of the things she’s seen in life, Neon treats it like a game because she knows it’s not real, Ciel, is okay with it, but she gets shook more easily than the other two and they often have to reassure her. No they do not like theme parks, there are too many people around for Ilia and Ciel and Neon respects their boundaries so they tend to go to more quiet places. Uhm heights, Ciel is used to heights because she’s friends with Penny and woah can that girl toss her in the air like she’s a couple of grapes. Ilia doesn’t mind heights but she would prefer to have her feet on the ground. Neon loves the ground so damn much if it leaves her she will cry because man she can’t roller-skate in the air can she, what will she do if the ground is suddenly gone? They like evening dates because it’s normally the only time all three of them are awake enough for it XD. They end a night by sleeping I am not quite sure if there are other ways to end it lmao. They absolutely despise Neon’s roller skating dates but they love how excited she gets about them so they end up becoming as good as professional roller skaters because the smile on Neon’s face when they join her is dazzling.

I am slowly going insane. Yes each girl has a hobby I sure hope they do. Ilia knits, Ciel paints, and Neon writes. I would like to imagine that Ciel would try to schedule time for their hobbies she ends up giving up because all their sleep schedules are wack. Designated chef is Neon (probably made food for FNKI back in atlas), designated driver is Ilia (I mean I like to imagine she stole cars and stuff in the White Fang XD), designated decorator for stuff is normally Ciel though Neon does try to hijack a few of her plans occasionally, designated shopper is Ciel because the other two have no concept of Saving money, and they all work together to clean :). They don’t work together, they believe in keeping their work life and home life separate to prevent their feelings from getting in the way. They do not have pets, none of them have the energy or responsibility to do that, but Ilia did once bring a moose home one day for some reason.

I am nomming on your arm sir. Ilia and Neon get along with Penny surprisingly well, though I do think Ilia would get along with Weiss better? Ruby and Weiss look at Ciel and see a beacon arc Weiss and more or less adopt her despite Ciel being older than the two of them. They might like.. play board games together? Like some of those more team based board games I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, may the best polycule win. I cannot see them in a cuddle puddle to be honest ajcnjsanjs I am so sorry— hmm Ruby and Neon do not know the meaning of formal, as far as they are concerned these are their girlfriend’s friends and that means that by extension these are their friends. Weiss would like nothing to do with Neon after Neon insults Yang during the Vytal festival but she begrudgingly goes on outings with her and hey, now they’re make up buddies for some reason. The parhelion gals take the fs gals to the gyro place they like :). Parhelion gang Is a lot more vocal on their dates because their love language happens to be words of affirmation while the fs gang’s happen to be physical touch. Both polycules are very very affectionate though I will die on this hill.

BUDDY I CAME TO THE LAST ASK AND NOW ONLY DID I REALIZE YOU MEANT PARHELION BACK WHEN THEY WHERE IN BEACON THIS WHOLE TIME I’M CRYING. (This ask is answered under the assumption that they are already dating back in Atlas Academy) Ciel is fiercely protective of her girlfriends, though people only know that Neon is a Faunus because Ilia masks her traits during her time at the academy. Neon and Ciel are horrified about the news about the dust mines. They know that Ilia is a Faunus and that her parents were working there so they rush to see her as soon as possible. But they’re too late,,, Ilia’s already been expelled for attacking her fellow students. They don’t hear from Ilia for a few years after that and the two slowly drift apart, each blaming the other for not getting to Ilia soon enough. They don’t find out about the White Fang until they reunite with Ilia unfortunately, but they feel sad that Ilia had felt that they only way for her to get revenge for her parents was by joining a militant group (I’m working under the assumption that Sienna only took control of the White Fang shortly before Ilia joined). When Neon learns that Penny didn’t make it after the Fall of Beacon she hesitantly reaches out to Ciel for the first time in a year, and she does try to help. But for Ciel it’s blow after heccin’ blow and she pushes Neon away in a rage. Ciel leaves the Academy after that and goes rogue, working as a huntsman without a license for the poorer parts of remnant. Ilia is unaware of all this drama during the Beacon arc. The next time she hears of any news is during the Fall of Atlas, and she’s scared, scared because she’s still recovering and she just heard Ruby announce to the world that Remnant is under attack, and oh my gosh her ex girlfriends live in Atlas. Neon makes it out alive, though not entirely in one piece, she now has a prosthetic leg. Ilia is the first person to see her, it’s a tearful reunion and they haven’t fully made up yet, but hey it’s a work in progress, now they just have to find out where Ciel is, but when they do they’ll BOTH be there to greet her. Blake has no idea who the fuck Ciel and Neon are lmao, Ilia never told her anything about her past romances when she was in the White Fang.

Miavyr is my moon elf star druid in descent into avernus. Her entire clan was slaughtered, mistaken for drow, so she began travelling in search of the humans responsible. Her boyfriend is Thorn, a tiefling vagabond, who keeps trying to sleep with her every long rest but Miavyr is a sleepy bitch. She also has an almiraj companion named Eos and Miavyr may or may not be a drug dealer

Esra Villette is my babygirl. My evil queen. She is my rogue/paladin from curse of strahd, a resident of barovia, and twin soul to strahd’s “love”, Tatiana. She um.. likes killing people and cutting off their thumbs… and she has two friends, Henry and Scuff Fallon (cousins) who make up their own little street gang trio. Henry is an alchemist artificer, Scuff is a tavern brawl fighter. Henry and Esra have been in love since puberty but only recently confessed to these feelings once Strahd started meddling in their lives and Henry realized he might lose her.

Lasciva is my green tiefling artificer whose family believes they’re descendent of Sebek, evil reptilian god of rivers/wetlands. They use this belief to viciously rule over their homeland. Lasciva left home to act as a diplomat with another kingdom to bolster trade as her homeland is a vicious climate few are willing to travel through. Her horns, fangs, and claws are all gilded in fine gold.

17. What do they dream about, when their dreams are their own?

Zee: Her dreams lately have been pretty much divine trials. Zee is not someone who looks forward to a future or a goal - a divine agent asked her what she wanted last session. She didn’t know.

Hannah: A mixture of obsolescence and vengeance. She wants to survive her family, in two separate ways.

Aneirin: They just want a nap. But in reality, they want to save their indisposed family members, figure out what happened to the less savory members of their family, not get cosmically eviscerated the moment their number comes up, and for the Dark Tapestry to (ideally) cease to fucking bother them ever again.

37. What is their favorite thing to hold?

Zee: sword.

Hannah: probably a book.

Aneirin: their wife.

69. How would they describe their party members?

Zee: Zendarian needs a therapist and less alcohol, but he’s doing the best he can and hasn’t given up, and for that she gives him an immense amount of credit. Varen is young and inexperienced, a little too cocksure - she hopes he learns that lesson a gentler way. Fang is kind and strong and she hopes like hell he doesn’t leave them, too.

Hannah: Vincent is her nakama, and now he’s pulling away for reasons she can’t pin down, so she’s pretty quiet on him at the moment. Jerry was like an uncle. But also, both of them executed a dude in front of her last session, so... she probably doesn’t know how she’d describe them.

Aneirin: Due to being terminally politically savvy, Aneirin would describe people far differently than they actually feel. Nefret is responsible, skilled, and above all a very driven young woman - she needs to define herself less through her social role, though, and treat Aneirin as a peer on the field, if not in politics. Rezius is the closest thing they’ve had to a mentor they like - an incredibly accomplished technical pastry chef, and a kind, warmhearted man, with a talent for humor and a near-divine amount of patience. Navira is blunt but has a very big heart, and though she can be (admittedly) abrasive, she’s finally warmed up to calling Aneirin a friend. And then Seti is- they don’t comment on Seti publicly, but they would describe her as the love of their life, and leave it at that, despite the sense that there’s far more to it than that.
