Rainworld OC's

Endless - Endless will always, ALWAYS take advice from Chime. The only time he didn't was during their argument. He's especially reinforced the idea of listening to Chime now that they're together <3., He also won't take advice from... A lot of people, however probably Belief is the main person he will not take even friendly advice from

Koi - Will always take advice from her ancients. In comparison to her combative and competitive behaviors toward other iterators, she oddly listens to her colony. She's never talked about the matter, but its most likely due to knowing what happened to her brother when *he* didn't pay attention. It's a main reason she worries for him and tries to protect him, even nowadays.

Niche - Niche will always take advice from Cookie. Specifically cookie. She'll rarely every pay attention to her scavengers as she believes they have nothing good to say, but she has a soft spot for cookie- and sometimes she has a point. Also, Niche will never, *NEVER* take advice from iterators or ancients who have been apart of a taboo matter (i.e sliverist group chats/conspiracies, self destruct sequences, breaking the torture method, etc).

Downfall

Oh boy. Oh boy. I have.. Wayy too many downfall characters to go over this, so Ill just go over with it for a handful.

Noah - Noah by beloved <3 I love him so much ^^ Anyway. After years of living with them, noah's pretty much learnt to take any and all advice from The Watcher. Considering they're a godlike being. The only type of advice they wont take and instead will *give* Watcher is emotional advice. also I think this was already a given but noah will not take advice from Kevin. not. not that kevin would give any advice.

Sludge - Sludge will take advice from everyone, however he'll always listen to his grandmother <3 He doesn't have a particular someone he won't want advice from (unless you count his father who he wants nothing to do with).

Kevin - Will take advice from Divala, will not take advice from Noah

Aqua - Awa will take advice for ANYTHING from ANYONE. Genuinely. He is extremely tentative and will listen and do whatever you say.

Nightshade - Will take advice from Dayna always. Will not take advice from Cindy. He doesn't care that they're siblings, he does not trust her. she threw a lizard at him

Si`le - Will take advice from Cupid. They're the bestest of friends <3 Will NOT take advice from the other sins. Quite frankly they can go fuck themselves in his opinion.

Harvey - Harvey will forever and always take advice from Baron. He likes his short chubby friend much more than he'd like to admit. He will not take advice from Theo, even if it's advice like 'hey I don't think you should go in there I think I saw a bracken' because he will just blatantly ignore him

Baron - Same thing, will always listen to Harves <3 Won't not listen to advice from anyone he's good with whatever

Elle - You don't listen to anybody, do you?

Theo - Will always, always take advice from Elle. He knows damn well she knows what she's talking about. This is especially useful when *he* doesn't know what the fuck he's doing. N/A on the second part

i have a question about this chapter

in the beginning, bakugou says “i’m done messing around izuku(?)” but i’m confused on what it means. does this mean that he isn’t gonna treat him horribly anymore or he’s done messing around and he’s coming into his own (quirk/name/person)?

もうおめーの邪魔はしねえ もうおめーのじゃまはしねえ mou omee no jama wa shinee I won't get in your way anymore.* (*Note: This is a sentence that could have many potential translations: "I won't get in your way anymore," "I won't hold you back anymore," "I won't be a hindrance to you anymore," etc.)

This is one of those "Katsuki Bakugou contains multitudes" lines where he means a lot of things at the same time.

The surface-level, pseudo-obvious meaning is that Katsuki won't be a jerk to Izuku--but that doesn't actually make sense, because he isn't a jerk to Izuku anymore. That shit is long over.

I think the key to understanding this line lies in chapter 406:

The major struggle Katsuki has had throughout this final arc is about his sense of inferiority compared to Izuku. Remember, he was revived at the time when he could save All Might from AFO and make up for his perceived weakness that caused All Might's downfall.

So in one sense, Katsuki is saying he's strong now. His lack of power will no longer be a burden. Now he can run alongside Izuku and match his pace and support him without Izuku ever having to worry.

But there is also some deeper meaning behind that sentiment, one that's had roots in Katsuki's journey through the entire story, since chapter 1.

It's Katsuki's relationship with victimhood.

From the beginning, the one insecurity within Katsuki that was so great he would actually kind of voice it aloud was his fear that he couldn't match up to Izuku and that Izuku looked down on him for it.

And this all ties back into his insecurities about his role in All Might's downfall. All of this was a major point of what "Deku vs Kacchan, Part 2" was all about.

So it's not that Katsuki wants to protect Izuku; Katsuki doesn't want to be the reason for Izuku's downfall.

And here:

Katsuki lightens Izuku’s load by looking out for everyone else, and this is why Katsuki works so well as Izuku’s weakness. He’s become the cornerstone of Izuku’s house of cards. As much as he hates being a weakness, Katsuki can’t just make it stop by telling Izuku not to care. Izuku will keep on caring regardless. So instead Katsuki has to convince Izuku that Katsuki is stronger so Izuku will keep chasing after him. Izuku needs to believe Katsuki is stronger in order to get stronger himself. Katsuki needs Izuku to believe Katsuki can handle himself, that Izuku can trust him, so they can work as a team and compensate for each other’s weaknesses.

Katsuki acknowledges in his apology in chapter 322 that Izuku is on the right path, that all his moves since receiving OFA have been correct. Katsuki has been a roadblock hindering Izuku and holding him back--yes, often by rejecting him and competing maliciously with him, but also by being too weak to stand at Izuku's side. He was caught by the sludge villain, kidnapped by the League of Villains, lethally stabbed and later nearly killed by TomurAFO. He wasn't the strong hero like All Might that fought to win and save the day. He wasn't an equal partner.

What I read when Katsuki says he won't get in Izuku's way anymore is that he's done it, he's strong enough to stand at Izuku's side, he's strong enough to let Izuku do what he does best, he's strong enough to support Izuku as Izuku strives to achieve what only he can achieve. AND I read Katsuki saying "I am no longer that weak person, I am no longer a burden, I am no longer NOT a hero, no longer NOT the hero I needed to be."

"I won't be a weakness others can exploit to get to you anymore."

Another late night drabble! I kept seeing all these wonderful fics and headcannons of Lilia interacting with his younger self so I thought to contribute something. Eventually I hope to be able to 'get the point across' in my fics or try to make more sense of them but right now I hope you like this piece.

It was a horrible sight. Terrifying. Sickening! Never had Vanrouge ever imagined he would see himself cosying up to the humans of this dreadful school, let alone the offspring of their enemy, even going as far as to raise it. At least with Mallenoa’s son he could understand, he’d been entrusted with the egg’s care and all. But he could never wrap his head after the fact that his older self willingly chose to let the human live and care for it as well as embracing that cuteness that is utterly childish and unworthy of someone like Lilia. It was maddening even to see Malleus doting on the boy or that Baul’s child decided to marry a human of all things, the world has become madness itself. He couldn’t understand, looking at that face… All he could see was the killer of their princess what had changed in all those years for his older self to see something past that, to let that cold heart of his to melt into sludge for a mere human, a mere child! It was terrifying to see someone with his face and calibre act so carefree and loving with this child, to see that even someone like him could live a life of such tranquillity despite all that was lost. Of course he’s felt fear before, when your on the battlefield fear is bound to pierce even the most hardened of souls, and it was this same fear he felt as he watches his future self, this insatiable beast, whose very name strikes fear into the hearts of both man and fae, grow ever so daft, so soft. It was like watching a wolf become some house mutt, a blade with no edge, is this what I’ll become?!

An old thing of a fool doused in hot pink, weak and growing weaker by the minute, staring lovingly at the enemy’s spawn with the prince. He can only laugh, Vanrouge had thought this was a showcase of his downfall, a punishment for allowing his friends and family to die. 

Until that night.

As he had been stewing in similar thoughts, his future self’s human (he refused to say son) must have sensed his melancholy because he sat up from where he rested his head next Lilia’s shoulder watching him play a game on his phone, Malleus and Sebek were elsewhere, and suddenly he was in front of Vanrouge reaching out with a concerned expression, he didn’t know what was happening, he didn’t realise that Silver only meant to check on his well being, all he saw was the knight of dawn reaching out with hands stained with blood. Everything was blank until a cry of pain echoed in his ears, red filled his vision and a volley of black and pink suddenly descended upon him before the phone had touched the ground. 

‘Don’t you dare touch him!’ Lilia shrieked, gripping the general around the throat before dragging him away from the boy clutching the side of his bleeding face. Admittedly he’d been on edge ever since his boys insisted on housing the general in a secluded area of Diasomnia, he knew what he was like in his youth and he’d rather not have his son around such hostility only to be proven correct when Silver fell back and blood dripped between his gloved fingers. All that pent up anxiety burst into unrivalled rage which he regrettably unleashed upon the source of all his fears, slashing and striking without pause barely giving his younger self any room to retaliate. As they both scrapped Silver did his best to try to separate the two but with the flaring pain next to his eye he was merely shoved out of the way, eventually they stopped when it took both Malleus and Sebek to wretch them apart, Lilia with only a few scratches here and there while Vanrouge was thoroughly beaten, cuts and bruises everywhere and he had a slight limp when he shook off Malleus. No words were spoken until Lilia snarled at him ‘I don’t care if you're me or anything else, mark my words if you lay another finger on my son I’ll make sure they’ll never find your body.’ With that his features softened and he turned around to tend to Silver.

The boy hissed as Lilia gently pried his fingers away ‘alright let's get a good look at that’ he murmurs taking a handkerchief from his pocket and carefully cleaned around the wounded area with some water that was conveniently around ‘oh dear, well at least it’s not as bad as it looks’ he says. Two decently deep scratches marred Silver’s cheek, Lilia worried over the one closest to his eye, had Vanrouge moved just slightly it was sure to had struck the eye itself ‘hold still now’ diving into the his drying reservoirs of magic he drew a tender finger across the scratches and under his thumb the skin knitted itself back together until it was as if nothing had struck it at all ‘there good as new!’

As lilia cleaned the rest of the boy’s bloodied cheek, Vanrouge tended to his own injuries. Lilia had not been kind in his onslaught, each blow harder than the last, fierce rage burning in his gaze, yet he watches as Lilia oh so tenderly fusses over his child over such tiny scratches, he can’t help but take back his words. His older self may be stupid and soft, but he was not weak, in fact Vanrouge recalled a time when Malenoa told him about a parent’s abominable strength when it came to protecting their child, I suppose you may be right, princess.

Yet how could it be that I turn out just like that.

Cherry Milkshake

Yan + Candy Human Reader

A blurb of which a candy flavored darling makes a treat for their Yan

"Hmph. Kinda thirsty... Oh!- A milkshake sounds good! You'll make it for me, right Gumdrop?"

Milkshake. Milkshake. That sounds like something you can do. At the very best, you could try considering how much they've done for you.

Figuring out the mortal world was tricky business. Luckily you ran into your good friend Sucrose before you got into too much trouble. They took you in, taught you the basics of human society, and even gave you a job at their bakery so they could keep a close eye on you. You were their little gumdrop - despite being mostly comprised of taffy and fruit syrup. Regardless, you cared for them at least a fraction of the love they barred for you.

"Yes!"

Lead through the instructions as they gathered everything, you patient wait at the kitchen table to take over for them. They had it all - vanilla extra, ice cream, milk. All that seemed to be missing was the blender to put it all in. Must've forgotten with so much excitement buzzing around. You get up as Sucrose slams down a cup in front of you to retrieve it - slender fingers leaving in indents on your sugary skin at the force they grab you.

" Gummy bear, ."Sucrose giggles, digits walking up the length of your arm." Silly thing - where do you think you're going?"

"To grab the blender?"

"Oh!" Sucrose slaps their free hand over their mouth. "Guess I'm the silly one here. What I told you is how they're made traditionally. What we're going to do is a little more... hands on."

They tap the side of the glass rhythmically, gazing up at your lips. You follow their eyes with your finger.

"Me?"

"Precisely. I'm in the mood for a cherry milkshake, you see - and you have the best flavoring."

Sucrose brings your hand to their lips and kisses it, licking the sweetness that coats them thereafter. Their teeth scrape your knuckles.

"But how would I even go about doing that myself?"

"Easy!- Use your mouth." Sucrose pops the lid on the ice cream and grabs the cup for demonstration. "Mix it up using your tongue and spit it back into the glass."

"That sounds unsanitary..."

"Not really - compared to other places I want to eat off you. Please, Gumdrop, I'm begging you."

"If it's what you really want." You pick up the spoon from the table. Grabbing a nice big spoonful of ice cream, the metal utensil clicks against your canines as you shove the spoon in your mouth. You stuff it in your cheeks for space; the malleable, taffy flesh giving you more room, but not much. The heat of your sticky tongue melts the cool cream into a pinkish sludge pooling in your lower jaw.

You get another scoop in, capping your fill at three. Your cheeks fluff up with each bite, so round and kissable Sucrose squeals at how cute they are. The froth leaking from the crevices of your mouth lead to thoughts holding less of that innocence. You grab the gallon of milk, shotgunning your measurements as you throw back your head and take a swig. Had you been a regular human the rapid flood would've made you gag, but without the reflex you held strong. Something Sucrose took note of for later.

Your cheeks being to harden from the coldness rubbed into their walls. You stir your tongue through the mixture, but it had neither the sharpness nor efficiency of a blender. You still manage to get it mixed well before remembering the final ingredient left before you could spit your crime against milkshakes out. Getting the vanilla extract in proved to be your downfall. Opening your mouth just a little lead to your muscles losing what had left and your mouth to fall open. Seeing the rise in your throat as everything spills over, Sucrose leans over the table and locks their lips to yours.

Mouth open wide, Sucrose dips into the kiss better positioned for the slurry funneled from your mouth directly into theirs. Thick, rich cream ripe with that artificially sweet cherry flavor. Searching through the blend, your hot tongue against theirs ups the flavor into that of a sundae with a perfect amalgam of warm and cold coupled with the addictive taste of cherry within. As much as they wanted to swallow it all, Sucrose reluctantly parts from you as their mouth quickly fills.

They turn your aim at the cup below, sticking two fingers in your mouth and pumping against your tongue to help flow. What comes out is that same vibrant pink of the walls of your mouth and flesh just a shade lighter. The shake and your saliva fill the cup half way.

"Wonderful. You did so good for me, Gumdrop - I'm so proud. What did I ever do to deserve someone like you~"

Sucrose pats your back and whispers words of encouragement as you spit - gasping halfway through.

"Forgot something!"

Your spit makes up for a quarter of the glass as Sucrose runs to the fridge and grabs a can of whipped cream. They hum to themselves, finishing the treat off with a mountain of the topping. With a straw the same color as your skin, hey ease into their seat ready to enjoy their delicious drink - but something still feels off.

"Hm.... still missing something... Wonder what it is..."

Sucrose eyes your legs, fixated on the mess from the table dripping onto your thighs. They grin. "Already think I have an idea."

Today I'm thinking about how Aaravos has been compared to Lucifer by the creators, but then, we have this snippet from his birthday short:

In the classic Lucifer/Satan story, Lucifer tricks Eve (one of the first humans) into taking a forbidden fruit, leading to humans' downfall in a sense.

But here, it's actually the opposite situation. We know Aaravos was tricked (Zubeia said so herself, that they needed to deceive him, and Aaravos accuses her of betraying him as well). And Aaravos (one of the First Elves) was offered fruit from a tree, by a human...

Ezran also repeatedly offers tarts to dragons in the name of peace. A jelly tart to Zubeia, the brown sludge tart to Rex Igneous.

So it would be fitting if the Orphan Queen is the one who gave that fruit to Aaravos, and that it likely was an offer tied in with trickery, getting him to let his guard down as the dragons needed, which also led to his downfall (imprisonment).

Just an interesting parallel.

E. Still alive, just been busy + November being november

anyways Uh. I'm working on a mod called Ruined Waters ; A WIP Dimension mod of a Fallen Civilization within a damp, muddy world full of ruins

Right now I'm just working on some simpler blocks (As seen above) and plants to give myself an idea of how this dimension should be like; Essentially, crafting the vibe of the mod

I am using Mcreator for this mod, just cause we all gotta start somewhere yknow?

Ink Sludge Block + Glow Ink Sludge Block!

The first blocks I made in the mod that slow down the player like Honey Blocks! Crafted with Two Ink Sacs of your choosing, and 2 mud in 2x2 crisscross fashion!

Oh and Glow Ink Sludge Glows, similar to a magma block!

I uh. Still don't know what made me to make these blocks tbh

Mainly aesthetic, meant to be placed in future biomes

Amphora Plant can be turned into 2 Orange Dye And Navy Bush into 1 Blue Dye

I Made the moss bulbs as a Edition / Extension to the moss block, simular to grass, tho I'm currently a little unhappy at their current texture so. Might change it up a bit soon

Ofc, with the goal of making a Dimension mod, Gonna be making a LOT of plant life

Characters with wasted potential: Bakugo Katsuki (rant)

Look as much as I don't and I mean DON'T like bakugo I have to admit that Horikoshi's favouritism has caused the own downfall of his own favourite character which is just sad.

There are many things I don't like with bakugo which are :

HIS ATTITUDE. I know hori was going for the moody deuteragonist trope but it fails horribly when it comes to bakugo because the guy has NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING to be angry about. This guy basically won the lifes lottery so by making him like this he literally just comes of as an aggressive, ungrateful child.

HIS REDEMPTION ARC. His redemption arc was utter and complete BS I mean he literally still does bulky izuku and others but it's just being treated as a gag instead of him learning not to and why it's bad. Also what makes it so bad is the lack of izukus pov and personal thoughts/emotions about it like izuku is the victim so we should see his negative and positive emotions towards bakugo and we should see bakugo take all of these emotions and try his best to make it up to izuku and change

HIS INTERACTION WITH OTHER CHARACTERS. I have no idea what those MHA stats were but they were horrible and why is it that every single time bakugo interacts with a character they will end up thinking he is cool and worthy of respect when he CLEARLY ISN'T.

LACK OF CHALLENGES. In my opinion, as a character bakugo doesn't go through enough obstacles or challenges and if he does he always has someone who goes through it with him like his whole I caused all mights downfall thing or the failed provisional license exam thing were so horrible in my opinion

A LACK OF CONSEQUENCES. Bakugo lacks consequences for a lot of his actions like the suicide incident and many other things. The problem is when he does finally receive the consequences it's always him and another character which doesn't make sense especially when izuku also got house arrest for what? Defending himself.?!?!

Bakugo could of clearly been a well written character that would be involved in the plot when necessary. Honestly, I hate bakugo and if it were to me I would have him erased as a character from the plot or bring in ORIGINAL BAKUGO!!! Who was soooo much better then the canon bakugo we have now!

But if we were to go with the 1st option of keeping bakugos character the same I would :

Change his attitude or actually give him something to have that type of attitude. Honestly, it's so infuriating that this guy only knows how to be an angry Pomeranian and it irritates me even more when he has nothing to be angry about. I know it's said in the manga that bakugo has a nasty attitude due to whatever mixture of superiority and inferiority complex he has and while you can do that and explore it a whole lot more like how did this happen? Where does it stem from? And stuff like that. It would be good to do something like that and Involve/show how society contributes to making these type of people which you can then use to expand on the world building that MHA lacks in. Or alternatively, you can give bakugo a reason to be angry all the time but in my opinion you already have so many of those characters so it would be better to stick with the first option.

Make him have obstacles and more realisations while gradually propping and hinting at a redemption arc. In my opinion it should of taken the entirety of the series for bakugo to have a redemption arc and when that arc is finished DONT GIVE HIM HIS OWN VILLAIN TO FIGHT. If you wanted him to fight someone make him fight himself and his own ideas. Also I think his development should start from the moment he gets saved by izuku and all might from the sludge villain where we can see him realise that maybe he has been lied to and that he isn't as great as he thought he was or everyone thought he was. He can also try and start focusing on what he has done or what he has been doing and at first you can have him ignore it, ignore it, ignore it and still not change until he reaches rock bottom in one of the earlier arcs preferably early season 3 when he fails the final exams BECAUSE HE SHOULD OF AND JUSTICE TO SERO!!!

Change the way characters interact with him. At first I loved how class 1A didn't like bakugo and viewed him as annoying and all of that and I think this should of continued until bakugo himself starts seeking for change during the training camp arc. Probably also have aizawa and other teacher reprimand him for his actions like the battle trials we don't see Katsuki receive any consequences just him on a verge of a mental break down and that's it. Also, we should definitely have more of Katsuki and best jeanist because let's be honest it was only best jeanist that tried to help bakugo and guide him in the right direction. You could also have him interact with all might but scrap the whole I got kidnapped and ruined all mights career I find it better if it were izuku to get kidnapped during the training camp arc.

Give him CONSEQUENCES. Iam all for Katsuki getting consequences for his own actions and faults and I feel like he should of got them during the battle trials, failing the provisional license exam alone, the final exams(he should of failed that fight with all might). Also I don't think he should be expelled from UA but I do think he should have more of a severe consequence that's NOT him getting anger management classes or therapy because that's not really a punishment. The idea might work if you also add him getting house arrest or losing a clean record and getting those types of classes but just that doesn't work for me

Lack of challenges. Katsukis character arc would work great if we focused more on his challenges and him ACTUALLY LOSING and not winning all the time. Realistically speaking there are many challenges bakugo can go through which are: having to realise he isn't the best and there are people better then him, he should treat people with respect, his behaviour towards izuku and other kids he bullied was bad, him trying to differentiate himself from endeavour and become a better hero and human being then endeavour by redeeming himself, his superiority and inferiority complexes.

Overall, Katsuki in this role should of been someone who is arrogant and has basically won lifes lottery but then he gets into UA and realises "oh Iam not as special or stronger then everyone else" which could then cause him to become insecure aka que the superiority and inferiority complexes which he develops out of and slowly redeems himself and becomes a symbol of how society can create bad people by too much praise or just thinking they are superior and how these people can go on to them become heros or people that society is supposed to trust and praise when they don't deserve it. Something that bugs me is how katsukis character mainly focuses on just izuku and whenever izuku is mentioned Katsuki has to be mentioned or vice versa.

Also it would if been better if you emphasised on the Katsuki and endeavour Parallels and don't redeem endeavour but redeemed Katsuki. Also, have Katsuki and todoroki have a difficult relationship it's out of character for todoroki to get along with someone like Katsuki. You can then explore the relationship and have Katsuki change and todoroki interact a bit more with him or something of the sort.

Dear Dinosaur Denominator,

Not to my knowledge, but there is one individual to whom he bears a very strong resemblance. Like Magmatron, he possessed a tripartite spark which could be split across three separate beast modes, each embodying a different facet of his personality: Overkill, the Gigantosaurus; Divebomb, the Quetzalcoatlus; and Splashdown, the Elasmosaurus. As a combiner, they could merge to form a monstrous beast mode referred to as the “Dinosaurer”, in addition to their robot mode combination. He was named Trypticon—after the monstrous beast from Cybertronian legend.

Trypticon was eternally loyal to the Predacon Council, and was the first leader of the cel that came to be known as the “Dinobots”, named for their prehistoric alternate modes. In fact, Trypticon considered it his right to command all saurian Predacons, using intimidation to recruit even experienced veterans like Reachout, and he demanded viciousness from all of his warriors.

For much of the Cybertronian Civil War, Trypticon's domineering and cruelty went uncontested, but eventually the other Dinobots had enough, and a number of them conspired to bring about his downfall. They prevailed by isolating Trypticon's three components and preying on their individual weaknesses. Overkill was provoked into a berserker rage by Sludge, Snarl and Terrorsaur, who put him down once his mind became consumed by blind anger. For Divebomb, Terranotron and Grimlock took advantage of his pride, luring him high into the sky until he was within firing range of the team's ship, the Megalosaur. As for Splashdown, it was simply a matter of isolating him on dry land, where he was vulnerable to Slapper’s earthquakes and Triceradon’s flame breath.

With Trypticon gone, the power vacuum he left behind drew the Dinobots into infighting. While they shared a sense of relief, some were angry over having been excluded from the scheme, and some took the chance to transfer to new positions within the Predacons. The remaining Dinobots, those who had taken part in the plot, disagreed over who was the team’s rightful leader, and squabbled fiercely until Grimlock was eventually accepted in the role. But once they began dealing with the Predacon Council directly, they had their worst fears confirmed, as it became apparent that the brutal methods they had attributed to Trypticon’s ideology were in fact endemic throughout the faction—and with it seeming increasingly likely that an errant ex-Dinobot would tip off the Council as to what had transpired, they begrudgingly made the decision to defect to the Autobot side. For this, they would pay a steep price, when Terrorsaur was slain by a Predacon bounty hunter… but it was their pursuit of revenge which ultimately united the team, and gave them a righteous purpose.

Honestly, I totally understand thinking Belos's death was disappointing. Some people wanted a big, dramatic, grand death where his past came back to bite him in the ass. Where Caleb and Evelyn come out of the aether and enact revenge or whatever. I totally get that, and I probably wouldn't have complained if it happened!! HOWever. I think the death we got was completely deserved. I think him going down pathetically, without any sense of dignity, being UTTERLY humiliated... I think that's all his character was worth. (Especially after three straight seasons of him being a dramatic bitch making himself the centerpiece of everything. He was already putting on a show the whole time - I don't think he needed one last, final show.)

And I don't think we were ever going to get something bigger than that. I don't think they were going to give the genocidal colonizer more time in the limelight than he needed. Especially not in any way that makes you feel bad for him. And I seriously doubt they were ever going to have a moment with him and Caleb where he's feeling remorseful or groveling for forgiveness or anything. We saw how he acted towards Caleb's ghost when he was sludging around on the brink of collapse already - he just went right past him, childishly going "oh, shut up" when he was accompanied by the grimmwalkers.

This man doesn't have a remorseful bone in his body. And honestly, I don't think Caleb needed to be there to watch the downfall of his brother. He already saw it all. He was already clearly There. I think Luz's cold, unwavering stare while Belos died was Caleb-adjacent enough.

Then again, I think I just fundamentally disagree on the premise that Belos is meant to be tragic. He grew up surrounded by harmful ideologies, yes, but you can only shift blame onto that so much before you remember Oh, Right! He was trying to commit genocide! And also committed fratricide! Multiple times, if counting the clones! All his choices were made consciously and deliberately. Did he think he was the good guy? Sure! Do I think that by default makes him tragic and I should feel bad for him? No.

He was so caught up in delusions of being a hero that he never once stopped to think of anyone but himself and his savior complex. I don't care how Sad his backstory was, he tried to commit genocide and nearly succeeded because of bigoted views. Instilled on him or not. I don't waaant him to have an emotional, impactful death.

I want him to be curbstomped.

King’s Tide was an absolute mindfuck. It solidified my hatred towards Belos, Odalia, and Terra. Odalia basically sold out by reporting the “stolen” blimp, Terra was too dumb to realize that the Day of Unity is a massive genocide, and Belos is extremely self-righteous about the “evils” of wild magic and his disdain towards witches. Seriously, fuck those despicable shitty-ass motherfuckers! 🖕🏻

It’s a relief that Belos’s backstabbing and manipulating deeds led him to his downfall thanks to Luz and the Collector. However, he’s not yet completely gone as his sludge successfully made it to the human realm, which makes me afraid that Belos is going to possess either Hunter or Jacob.

Now that the Collector stopped the draining spell, they began to warp reality, leaving the fates of the citizens of the Boiling Isles unknown. I hope that they realize that Belos’s words are nothing but complete bullshit and they cancel Odalia and Terra for conspiring with him.

As for season 3, I’m very angry at Disney for shortening it to 3 44-minute specials instead of renewing a full 20-episode season. It makes me want to punch a punching bag repeatedly just like what Morgan Terry did after she watched the episode.

That’s all I have to say and now that the show is on hiatus, I’m going to keep myself busy with other interests to stay sane.
