Well they've sat a little longer than need to so tonight we popped them open to try~
They were a little salty, not super crisp. But firm. Taste wise will make again. Has been like by all, so will use the recipe and time wait again.
The jalapeno was similar texture. Good taste.
The onions honestly I feel shone through in texture and taste. I want to amend 2 jars of that for snacking, with jalapeños for hot dog and sandwhich topping, haha.

Another jar of a vegetable pickle in a bright hue, this delicious Red Onion Pickle is simple to make, and gives a tasty, bright pink treat (almost a sweet!) to liven up a salad or enhance a ploughman’s lunch!
Ingredients (fills a 1/2-litre jar):
1/3 cup caster sugar
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 large red onions
In a pot of boiling water, sterelise a clean jar with a top with a rubber coating.
In a small saucepan, combine caster sugar and apple cider vinegar. Stir in water, and bring to a slow boil over a medium flame, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved. Keep warm.
Peel red onions, and cut them into thin slices.
Carefully remove jar and lid from their pot of boiling water, and dry them thoroughly.
Arrange red onion slices into the jar,up to the top.
Gently pour the hot pickling liquid over the onion slices, right up to the rim, pressing on the onion slices gently, to submerge them well. Close jar tightly. Leave at room temperature, at least a few days, before eating.
Once opened, keep your Red Onion Pickle in the refrigerator.

These tasty Pickled Cucumbers are easily made and ready to add their bite, crunch and tang to your meat, fish, smörgås or crispbread in under half an hour!
Ingredients (serves 2):
1 1/2 heaped tablespoon caster sugar
3/4 teaspoon fleur de sel or sea salt flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried dill
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/3 large cucumber, rinsed
In a small bowl, combine caster sugar, fleur de sel and dill. Give a good stir. Stir in apple cider vinegar, until sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
Cut cucumber into thin slices, and stir them into the vinegar mixture. Press the cucumber slices gently so that they are submerged in pickling mixture. Allow to sit, at room temperature, at least half an hour.
Serve Pickled Cucumbers with Swedish Meatballs, Poached Salmon,, Strömming Burgare, or onto Rye Bread.
