Imagine Chandelure Hybrid Ingo that's taken a liking to you! Features 18+ towards the end!
You're the first person who hasn't been petrified of him or his brother in a long time.
You find a house in Nimbasa City that has super cheap rent because it's haunted. With these prices? Yeah, a little haunting is not enough to scare you off. Sure, things move around on their own and the knobs rattle at night, but you can afford coffee and better food now so it's a sacrifice you're willing to make.
When you find out it's a ghost-type pokemon, you relax. Chandelure's don't actually consume human souls, right? Right. When you tried to greet the Chandelure floating around in the hallway it dematerialized in an instead. Poor thing was probably petrified of people!
Well, Ingo wouldn't say he was petrified.
He was initially attracted to the residual spiritual energy of the place that went along with people thinking it was haunted and was just trying to recharge. It was a good place to rest after holding himself in full human form at the gear station all day.
When you start leaving out ghost-type treats for him, though, it makes him laugh. He likes the way you smile when you find them gone in the morning and ends up giving them to his own Chandelure.
He tried avoiding the place when you weren't home for a while, but he found it much lonelier without your presence. He knows most people would panic if he showed them his true form.
Also, you would probably balk at the idea of a grown man hanging onto your ceiling when you were home alone.
His choice was made for him when you slipped on the stairs one day. Suddenly you found yourself in the arms of a handsome ghostly subway master.
Not the weirdest thing you've experienced in Nimbasa, honestly.
He tells you why he hangs around and apologizes profusely.
Hybrids are rare, but everyone knows they tend to be more instinctual. It would make sense that he's drawn here and it's not like he's done anything other than haunt the downstairs area, so you're not particularly bothered. Plus, he is the reason this place is so affordable.
You thank him for saving you and tell him he can stick around. You work out the details so you know when he'll be around and agree that it would be both funny and useful to keep the haunted rumors alive and well.
From there an easy friendship grows until Ingo (and his Galvantula brother Emmet) are there almost all the time because it's one of the few places they don't have to mask or hide.
Cue Ingo (and maybe also Emmet) and you falling in love. Ingo is shy, but Emmet is not and you will know how they feel mere minutes after they figure things out themselves.
So now you have a boyfriend (or two). Cue shenanigans.
Now for the NSFW 🔞
Maybe one day you have to invite a work friend or classmate over. This guy is just laying it on thick despite you telling him you weren't interested. You both have to get this project done in a few days so you're ignoring him.
"Nah, this place isn't haunted. It's just old and ugly. Next time you'll have to study at my place, Y/N. It's much more comfortable."
"I like my house just fine, thanks."
The dude is totally oblivious and not noticing Ingo's attempts to frighten him off at all. He misses the floating objects in the hallway, doesn't catch his evil reflection in the bathroom mirror, and grabs his mug off the table before Ingo can finish knocking it down.
Then the guy makes a crass joke about you guys having sex instead of working. At this point you were one comment away from kicking him out and doing the damned thing by yourself.
Ingo watches the guy eye you up and just snaps. As if his Y/n would stoop so low! He can do things that jerk can't even dream about!
He lets his body sink into the floor and float back up over by you, ghosting his head through the form of your legs to rest his head there. He can feel his pulse raise at the excitement of being this close to you. You and Ingo hadn't done anything yet, but just the thought of your taste had his mouth watering. That, and the knowledge that he could have you in all the ways that loser couldn't.
The jerk shudders and asks if you felt the temperature suddenly drop.
You say no, you didn't, even as you feel a cool touch across your legs. You glance down and see Ingo's form passing through your body to where your shorts cover your sex without even having to open your legs. You have to fight not to gasp as Ingo presses a pale hand there, as if asking for permission.
His violet-white eyes are beautiful, full of want and need, and who are you to say no to that?
With the subtlest of nods, you look back up.
As they guy carries on his single-handed conversation, Ingo's eyes are on you up as he presses a first firm lick to your sex.
Suddenly, without even moving your clothes aside, he's got his mouth on you and all you can do is try not to react.
The man across from you is completely unaware of the man underneath the table kissing into your sensitive sex. Your legs are frozen as he holds you still with his powers. Just the movement of his tongue alone is making it hard to speak.
You reach down to grab his hair but your hands just phase through him, powerless to push him away or ease his pace. You don't know which you need more: to slow the onslaught against your hole, or to hold him closer and push your hips against him more.
He decides for you when you feel his invisible strength quickly but gently pull your body forward.
The lights start to dim as the man finally notices something is going on, as papers and pens around you start to float while your lover's mouth is taking you apart. You bite your cheek to keep from moaning at the slick slide of your lover's tongue between your thighs. No matter how you squeeze your legs together, it just feels like you're getting completely devoured. You can feel the sticky mess spread even as Ingo works diligently to lick up every drop from you.
Finally, something crashes and the guy flees, calling you possessed and running out of the house like a madman. Ingo quickly pins you down on the couch and presses deeper, and you can't stop the sounds that are finally allowed to escape from your throat as he moans against you like a whore, praising you and begging for you to come on his face.
He holds your body tightly as you gush and writhe against him, spasming as he continues kissing and sucking your sex until you have to beg him to give you a break.
It doesn't last long before he's diving in again, addicted to your taste and the pretty sounds of your begging.

The fakemon I've been designing recently! :D They're Fairy/Fire puzzle box critters!! I ended up liking them way more than first expected, so they ended up getting polished designs pffft~ Conceptually they live in old ruins and puzzle dungeons with puzzles and traps (kind of like Dungeon Meshi but maybe not as deadly), and are a very playful bunch. The fun part is that they can probably have a lot of type variants based on different kinds of puzzles or biomes, etc.
Originally I just wanted to design something small for a friend's pokemon ARPG for fun, but now I just think they're so so so so cute and they're everything to me, thanks. <3 I wrote some mini dex entries for them below if you wanna read em though (I know there's usually two different ones for each pokemon but I wrote four each). ^///^)/
Puzwick The Puzzle Box Pokemon
It lives in old ruins and old intricate puzzle dungeons. It looks very polite is very innocent, and will excitedly guide travelers through the dark with the light of its flame.
Each Puzwick has a unique puzzle. Its body is made up of various blocks that can twist and spin at will, which makes odd winding and rattling sounds.
It is rumored to lead travelers deeper into dungeons to trap them, but in reality it likely just wants to play.
When two Puzwicks collide, both will attempt to stay spinning for as long as possible. Whoever wins gets to lead the way.
Blitzlocke The Sliding Block Pokemon
Its often playful nature makes it constantly attempt to prank the people they meet. Unfortunately this sometimes means purposefully triggering traps within the dungeon.
It can scrape its wings together or against its body to generate sparks, which it uses to light fuses and set off traps.
It enjoys swinging its body around and hearing its blocks tap against each other. Sometimes doing this can generate sparks.
The flames of its head and tail aren’t actually hot, and will grow extra bright when they’re having fun.
Jigscorch The Jigsaw Cube Pokemon
It acts as a dungeon master, setting itself up as the final obstacle for travelers to overcome within dungeons. It is incredibly clever and difficult to impress, but loves to see others have fun.
It can use its small wings as makeshift keys to open doors and activate mechanisms throughout the dungeons they live in. Some say it is responsible for shaping the dungeon itself.
It is incredibly nimble and flexible despite its large size, able to shift and twist the blocks of its body to easily fit through and navigate underground corridors.
It is able to shift its blocks to cover the fire on its back. Other Pokemon sit and sleep on top of the warm blocks when it rests.
They can move like this btw:
Tumblr media
It's hard to get that across but I think they're neat! ^///^
The fact I conceptualized them as living in funny puzzle dungeons and it just becoming a solid fact of the world that everyone casually accepts is also another exceedingly funny thing to me btw. <3

as you probably know, the most recent pokemon games feature pretty significant pokedex cuts due to the sheer magnitude of pokemon that are now available to us. this means that some pokemon are simply not featured in certain mainline games, which adds a unique element to a lot of pokemon's ribbon master journeys. re: my experience with reides, working around unobtainable ribbons wasn't exactly a new experience - after all, there were no available shadow horseas/seadras/kingdras in pokemon colosseum or pokemon xd, so i knew that my kingdra wouldn't be able to get the national ribbon (granted to purified shadow pokemon) - but it still was something i had to consider and plot out carefully as i brought him up towards the more recent generations. for example, reides was unable to get the hisui ribbon (granted for taking a photo with your pokemon in the region's photo studio), as the horsea line was not featured in legends arceus... and, for a long time, i figured that he wouldn't be able to get any of the ribbons (and marks!) featured in scarlet and violet.
but then... the dlc happened. the glorious, glorious dlc.
the horsea line was re-introduced into the pokedex when indigo disk - the second batch of dlc for scarlet and violet - dropped. needless to say, i was EXTREMELY hype about this. in my previous post, i mentioned not being sure if reides would be able to join me in this current generation of pokemon. i wondered if i'd have to brave the long, long queues of pokemon shield in order to get the master rank ribbon on him and make him a true ribbon master... but fortune smiled down on me, and reides was miraculously granted access to generation 9 of the pokemon games.
before i get into reides' journey through paldea, kitakami and unova, here's a quick reminder you can find each part of reides' ribbon master journey here on my personal website, or here in my ribbon master tag on this tumblr! it spans from my childhood copy of emerald version to my... uh... adulthood (lmao) copy of scarlet version... so it's quite the sizeable read! to everyone who's stuck by me for this whole challenge and expressed support for my lovely kingdra: thank you so much! and for anyone new to the reides saga: welcome, and i hope you enjoy my posts about him!
with that handled... it's time to cover a brand new generation of ribbons and marks!
as a big pokemon fan, i tend to play new games and dlc the very moment that i can. in the current era of #gaming, that means obsessively checking for game updates on the night of dlc releases. as i mashed that + button on my pro controller to check for updates to my copy of scarlet, i felt especially nervous. thanks to people being mischievous and sneaking alleged leaks around on twitter, i knew that the horsea line was supposedly being introduced into the game... but i'm extremely skeptical by nature. (can you believe that some people go on the internet and lie?!?!) i didn't want to believe that reides' ribbon master journey would continue until i saw a little horsea (or seadra... or kingdra...) swimming around in a digital body of water myself. once my game finally updated, i sprinted over to blueberry academy as SOON as i could and began running around the terarium in search of a horsea. i found one swimming around in a lake almost immediately.
Tumblr media
when i tell y'all... the scream i scrumpt... LMFAO. joking aside, it felt like i could finally breathe again. i was SO READY to plop reides into my file and get right to grabbing the ribbons and marks that were added for gen9. unfortunately, gamefreak had other plans for me, and pokemon home was under maintenance. after falling dramatically to my knees, i busied myself with getting the rest of my team for the dlc ready. this included grinding out the necessary bp to unlock wild starters in the terarium, then embarking on a shiny hunt for my fav starter pokemon of all time - totodile! after hours and hours of looking around, i managed to catch one successfully in a love ball and named him barge. along with the rest of my indigo disk team, barge would go on to be close friends with reides. anyway, after a lengthy maintenance, pokemon home was eventually ready to go. i leapt right in, retrieving reides and plopping him into my party. i'm a huge fan of the updated pokemon models in scarlet, so i was hype to see the one that they gave shiny kingdra. i was NOT disappointed in the slightest!
Tumblr media
LOOK AT HOW GORGEOUS HE IS. the tiny scale details... the glossy shine... my god. as much as i liked the sleekness of the models in gen8, i like the more realistic ones that gen9 introduced a whole lot more. the devs did a phenomenal job; kingdra looks absolutely majestic. with my full indigo disk team now present in my copy of scarlet, i had to take a group shot and treat everyone to a sandwich!
Tumblr media
reides met five new pals: bane the weezing, grunge the krookodile, bento the snorlax, axe the haxorus, and, of course, barge the feraligatr! i shiny hunted for all of them myself, as i really enjoyed doing the same for my kitakami team during my teal mask playthrough.
i wasn't quite ready to take on the indigo disk plotline, though. my first order of business was grabbing a ribbon for reides - namely, the paldea champion ribbon! i hopped on a plane and flew back to paldea, signing up for a spot in the academy ace tournament.
Tumblr media
i really love the vibes of the academy ace tournament; everyone is so passionate about the battles, and the music is an absolute JAM. i was especially happy about reides' first experience as a competitor in it, too, because my fav character in the game just-so-happened to show up for it!
Tumblr media
that's right: arven - the man, the myth, the legend - challenged me and reides to a battle.
Tumblr media
shoutout to him holding his pokeball upside down. just one more reason as to why he's truly one of the best pokemon characters. (btw, as happy was i was to see arven, i always feel so bad to fight his mabosstiff. that's my FRIEND!!!!!!)
anyway, after sweeping his way through everyone in the academy ace tournament, reides was granted the paldea champion ribbon for his efforts.
Tumblr media
after nabbing that ribbon, i decided that i should really get a move on with the indigo disk's actual plot, as i wanted to avoid spoilers and also REALLY wanted to know what happened next in the plot. i was pretty invested in the hooks that teal mask introduced and was especially worried about kieran. (just why did teal mask's plot force us to lie to that poor kid, btw?! just thinking about it gets me so annoyed. i'd go through an 'evil' arc too if i was in his shoes, i'll tell you that.) even though it's not really relevant to reides' ribbon master quest, i figured i'd share some photos of his storyline adventure, too.
(btw, i'm writing this post in feb 2024, which means that indigo disk has been Around for around 2 months and thus the spoiler embargo is pretty much lifted - but, still: be warned that there are some spoilers for indigo disk beyond this point!)
Tumblr media
the battles in indigo disk ended up being pretty tough; i was glad that i put time aside to train up my team properly. we managed to take on the blueberry elite four and kieran and ultimately Prevailed - even if the battles were quite close, at times! i was kinda sad that there was no ribbon associated with beating all of them - it would've been nice to finally get some form of an unovan ribbon on my ribbon master - and i was also pretty shocked that the dlc didn't introduce a battle tower. regardless, even if reides didn't get a ribbon for his performance in the battles, it was still awesome to include him in them, and i had a whole lot of fun.
i also brought reides along for the Shenanigans following the blueberry academy plotline.
Tumblr media
luckily for me, briar, carmine and kieran were chill with waiting in the underdepths of area zero while i took reides on a bit of a photoshoot. it was just so pretty down there!! how could i resist!!
anyway, silly little wanderings aside, it was really cool to have reides involved in the big showdown against terapagos. i was especially happy when kieran snapped out of his funk and i got to battle alongside him. his hydrapple even used dragon cheer, powering reides up during the battle. it made the whole experience feel all the more significant.
Tumblr media
with everything all sorted out, i ended up being really happy with the indigo disk's overall plot. i definitely liked it a lot more than teal mask's narrative and was really pleased that we could become proper friends with kieran once more. (i still wish that we could've apologized for lying to him, though.)
Tumblr media
now that i was safe from indigo disk spoilers and emboldened with love for pokemon as a whole, i decided to pick up my ribbon-collecting in earnest once more... though the next ribbon on my list was not actually a ribbon. it was a mark! introduced in gen8, marks are basically the same as ribbons. i think of them as little stickers on pokemon, haha. the first one that i set my sights on was the gourmand mark, which has a chance of being randomly given to your pokemon after eating a meal with them! these meals can be the store-bought ones or the ones that you make yourself via the picnic system.
Tumblr media
frankly, i have no idea WHEN reides got this mark, as i went sort of crazy with buying lots of different meals. (i really like the food art in this game, okay!!) it definitely didn't take long for one of these meals to really strike his fancy, though. he got the gourmand mark very quickly and also got the title 'reides the gourmet' along with it!
Tumblr media
i then decided that i'd try to get the other two marks on reides in one fell swoop. the first of these marks was the itemfinder mark, which your pokemon has a chance of getting when they pick up an item in the overworld. to get this mark, you have to make use of the let's go feature, which allows your pokemon to walk alongside you. the second of these marks was the partner mark, which... can be quite the ordeal. your pokemon basically has a 1/100 chance to get this mark with every 10k steps that you take. additionally, your pokemon also has to be friendly towards you in order for them to have a chance at getting this mark. since both of these marks rely on random chance, i knew that i could get really unlucky and end up going off on one hell of a grind for them... but i decided to just take it one step at a time. instead of focusing on getting the marks to trigger, i wanted to wander around and enjoy the sights around the various regions of the game. after all, i was lucky to even HAVE reides in this generation - and these marks gave me the perfect excuse to take lots of photos with him, too!
Tumblr media
i was especially happy to take some photos of him with aske, my shiny gallade who joined me for my teal mask journey. as you guys know, reides the kingdra is named after a character that i play in a dnd campaign. similarly, aske is named after another character in that campaign; he's reides' boyfriend!
Tumblr media
i also enjoyed roaming around *as* reides while using the new synchro machine, too! i'm not sure if items that you pick up count towards the itemfinder mark in this mode, but i'd like to think that they do.
Tumblr media
thanks to my casual approach to getting these marks, i actually have no idea how long they took for me to get on reides. one day, i just happened to check and they were BOTH there, so i guess the 'grind' truly ended up being completely painless. in the following screenshot, i'm hovering over the partner mark, but you can see the itemfinder one at the end of the row above it, too.
Tumblr media
with the marks now handled, i had one more ribbon to get on reides before he could become a true ribbon master. this ribbon was the one that i was the most nervous about by FAR. the master rank ribbon is granted to your pokemon once you emerge victorious in one (1) online battle against another player... but the catch here is that the battle has to be in the master rank. for me, it meant climbing from the beginner rank all the way up there.
naturally, i procrastinated with this ribbon a whole lot. i took reides along for the (amazing) epilogue when it dropped in january, taking more pictures with him and making more memories... all the while wondering just when i'd get around to tackling the Final Ribbon.
Tumblr media
as it turns out, i didn't actually end up procrastinating on it all that long. my friend cody visited me a few days after the epilogue dropped, and my other friend blee stayed over at my house for his visit, too. both of them knew about reides the kingdra and we decided that we'd tackle operation: final ribbon acquisition together, with blee spearheading it as someone very well-versed in vgc. over the course of a few days, we managed to get up to master rank - running into a bunch of really interesting teams and occurences during the climb of legend. (special shoutout to a dedenne who kept trying to spam nuzzle on pokemon who were completely immune to it, but who successfully spread the glory of Cheek Pouch via entrainment onto us all.) i learnt a truly crazy amount of stuff about the competitive world of pokemon and really enjoyed all of the different rental teams that we tried out.
Tumblr media
upon arriving in the master ball tier, we had to switch gears, though, as we couldn't use rental teams anymore and, instead, had to build one from scratch so that reides could be included in it. i ended up building this portland regional finals team as per blee's recommendation, though we swapped out raging bolt for reides, himself. since it was my own team and not a rental one, we gave nicknames to each team member.
Tumblr media
my entei is one that i got in an event years and years ago (they're shiny and in a cherish ball), so i couldn't nickname them... but just know that they are 'flamberge' in spirit. o7 reides also got an electric tera type (and tera blast as part of his moveset) for fun, as his namesake is associated with storms.
Tumblr media
it was a lot of fun making this team!!! the very specific ev-spreads that some of the pokemon required gave me a newfound appreciation for all of the feathers that i happened to pick up while wandering the terarium... not to mention all of the mochi that i collected while oustin' ogres in kitakami.
Tumblr media
once the team was all built, it was time to get the final W in order to secure the ribbon at long last. we could all breathe a whole lot easier, as when you rank up to another ball tier, you can't "demote" to a lower one - so falling back into the ultra ball tier wasn't a concern. victory didn't evade us for long, either!
Tumblr media
after a REALLY fun battle against someone named alex, operation: final ribbon was finally complete.
Tumblr media
reides - along with the rest of the team who helped clutch out the victory - got the much-coveted master rank ribbon.
Tumblr media
upon getting this ribbon, it finally happened.
reides the kingdra officially became a ribbon master.
a journey that began back in october 2023 finally came to a close. with his 91 total ribbons (since his two golden memory ribbons have 48 ribbons in total within them), reides now has each and every single ribbon that he can possibly attain from his origin game of emerald version to the current pokemon generation.
Tumblr media
i'm sure that all of my posts speak for themselves in terms of the sheer amount of effort that i put into this challenge. there were many times that i thought i hit a "roadblock," be it in the form of a gruelling grind or worries over not being able to access something due to hardware restrictions. in the end, however, reides was able to rise above all of the challenges. i got sooo much help and support from friends over the course of this whole challenge, so i have to give a BIG shoutout to every single one of y'all! and, of course, i have to extend thanks to all of the people who posted about their ribbon mastery experiences online, as i definitely couldn't have guided reides to this point without them. i'm hoping that the posts that i made about reides' journey can serve as a guide of sorts to anyone who wants to pick up the challenge for their pokemon, too!
at any rate, reides is my very first ribbon master and i definitely plan on keeping his ribbon collection up-to-date in future generations of pokemon. i say it time and time again, but the ribbon master challenge is amazing because it gets you interacting with aspects of the pokemon games that you may have never even thought of trying out. you form a true emotional bond with your pokemon, and it's just... so very fantastic. you make so many memories!!! so while there might not be an update to the reides saga until those generations are out and about, i'm already excited to keep on hunting for ribbons and am hoping that the horsea line is included in every single game going forward! because, quite frankly... it's what reides deserves. >:)
Tumblr media
before i Sign Off on this post, however, i wanted to share something i bought to celebrate reides; namely, a custom shiny kingdra diorama from nerdidecor on etsy.
Tumblr media
ISN'T IT SO CUTE!!!!! i put it right on my desk next to my pc so that i can always have a little reminder of my amazing ribbon master with me. i'm hoping to get more shiny kingdra stuff in the future, too!
either way, thank you all so much again for keeping up with me and my beloved kingdra! i'm already looking forward to being able to write up another one of these posts in the future! until then, reides is definitely going to enjoy a nice vacation from ribbon hunting. rest assured that i will be taking the very best care of him!!! :D

Shine On: An Analysis on Champion Diantha
Tumblr media
Dear Diantha,
The Pokemon fandom owes you an apology. For years she's been the butt of everyone's jokes when it comes to champions because many found her battle too easy. But between Pokemon Masters giving her some much needed focus and some redemption in the Masters 8 tournament in the anime, Diantha is finally getting her flowers as people (myself included) have begun to truly appreciate her.
So let's start with her name. Diantha comes from Dianthus which is part of the scientific name for carnations. Her Japanese name is Carne which again also points to carnations. Now carnations are some of the most beautiful and popular flowers in the world. Just going on that alone her name really suits her as she is very beautiful and in-universe is very popular as an actress. But what about the meaning of carnations in floriography (the language of flowers)? Well broadly speaking carnations symbolize fascination, distinction, love, and captivation. As a champion and A-list actress, she's certainly a person of distinction. Diantha really loves acting and Pokemon battles and she's good at captivating an audience in both fields. If we want to go deeper, each color of carnation also has a meaning. Given that her outfit is primarily white we could assume she's supposed to represent a white carnation. White carnations symbolise many things, such as luck (it's actually supposed to be a potent good luck flower for women) and loyalty. These two are the symbols I think most represent Diantha because as an actress she needs to have a lot of luck in getting roles. She also shows a lot of loyalty to her ace Gardevoir and she talks a lot in both XY and Pokemon Masters about the bonds people share with their Pokemon.
Alright, but what about her team? While Pokemon isn't really known for it's storytelling overall, it's actually really good with environmental storytelling via team composition of the trainers. You can learn a lot about a trainer by which Pokemon are on their team, their moves, which one is the ace, etc. For Diantha, at first glance many people would assume that there wasn't much of a narrative for her team as she is like many champions a multi-type trainer. However when you look at the species she uses there's actually a theme going on. It's a little more abstract than say Lance and Iris' Dragon/Dragon-like themes though.
See Diantha's team all could be tied to various genres of film. Her Hawlucha invokes action, superhero and sports related films. Gourgeist can represent the horror genre. Goodra can represent the fantasy genre. Tyrantrum and Aurorus can both represent the sci-fi genre thanks to be fossils. Finally Gardevoir can represent romance and fantasy genres. That's a wide variety of film genres, so you can infer that Diantha probably doesn't stick to just one genre when she is acting. And she confirms via dialogue in Pokemon Masters explaining that she has been in a wide variety of films. Indeed her team also further speaks to the idea of variety because her team's individual typings span 9 of the 18 elemental types. Their movesets combined span 16 of the 18 elemental types (technically 17 since Flying Press acts both as a fighting and flying type move). So variety is clearly important to Diantha.
Now let's talk about Diantha's dialogue. When we're first introduced to Diantha, she's talking to Lysandre who's asking why she wouldn't want to remain young and beautiful forever. To which she replies the following:
"What a strange question… Why would I want to play the same old roles forever? Youth may be beautiful, but it's not all there is to life. Everything changes. I want to live and change like that, too. So I look forward to playing different roles as I get older."
This is really telling about her outlook. That she's very positive and she enjoys which ties back to her team composition. She's embracing the idea of growing older and being able to play roles she couldn't at the moment. Whereas Lysandre is essentially endorsing society's strict beauty standards and ageism she's actively embracing the idea of changing looks and growing old. And in Pokemon Masters there are lines of dialogue that again have her expressing her interesting playing numerous types of roles and not just being typecast. For someone in her line of work that's a very unique outlook to have and it's really commendable.
But then after Lysandre she introduces herself to the player and she gives a quote that I think really gives insight into her as a character
"[...]You both have lovely names. Oh, and you're both Trainers! Don't your Pokémon look happy? I'm a Trainer myself, in my off time. I look forward to us battling someday!"
The part we're going to be focusing on is "I'm a trainer myself, in my off time". This is significant because despite being a literal league champion she considers being a trainer more of a hobby (since she says she does this in her off time) than a profession like she considers her acting. We also see a similar line Pokemon Masters if we talk to her in random conversation
"I have an identity as an actress—and also as a Champion."
Again she places more weight on her being an actress than being a champion. While there are definitely quotes where she talks about being a champion in Pokemon Masters (which makes sense because Pasio is more battle oriented) the fact that in normal casual conversation she tends to focus more on her identity as an actress is telling. Indeed a good portion of her dialogue does bring up acting in some way. This all shows that she primarily sees herself as an actress. Which isn't a bad thing at all she certainly isn't the first trainer in the series to put more emphasis on passions outside of battling. Not even the first champion- Steven actually does this as well.
This focus on her professional identity as an actress actually helps to shed light as to why she isn't as involved in the Kalos storyline as many would've expected. Actresses are busy people. While we don't have any direct information as to why she wasn't present during the end stages of the Team Flare arc, we can infer she was probably filming somewhere on location during those events. She doesn't show up as much as previous champions because being champion isn't her only or primary job. As I've mentioned before, if we're being technical it's not really the champion's job to intervene in situations (considering that most of them in fact do not) but you know it is something they probably should do as concerned citizens…
…and eventually Diantha realizes this. Let's look a bit at her dialogue when you first challenge her for the title of challenge
"Welcome at last, dear Trainer. As you must know, I am the Champion, Diantha. Oh, but you are… You're the child I spoke to in Lumiose City and Coumarine City, aren't you?! Then that means that you are also the one that dear Augustine said… Of course! How could I--?! Oh, I must look like such a fool not to recognize you sooner! You and your Pokémon are the ones who stopped Team Flare for us all! It seems wrong of me to say this, but thank you! You saved us all… I can't wait to see what you and your Pokémon are capable of now that I know exactly what it is you've done already!"
The line "It seems wrong of me to say this, but thank you! You saved us all…" upon playing Pokemon Y for the second time really gave me the impression that actually she feels remorseful for not being there. That she feels like she should've stepped in more. To be fair she probably should have because she does seem to have a personal connection Lysandre and maybe she and Professor Sycamore could've tried to get through to him (although honestly at that point Lysandre was probably too far gone).
I like this because she's one of the few champions who actually expresses regret for not doing more to help and that's really big of her to admit. This actually even goes further in a quote from her in Pokemon Masters during the Shining Hearts of Dragons story line.
"I think I understand now why Champions are the ones who guide younger Trainers! I always worked hard to improve myself as a Champion and actress, but I never really gave much thought to helping others improve…Now, I think that's something I should have done more."
This is really crucial to understanding who Diantha is as a character, and for me this is really where she won me over. There was a time where she didn't understand the concept of mentoring not only as a Champion but as an actress. And that right there outside of her busy schedule as an actress explains why she wasn't constantly checking in on the player. And her not understanding that is 100% valid.
Again I'm going to reiterate, Pokemon battling and the league itself is really just a very organized sporting event. Mentoring is encouraged but it's not an absolute requirement, so someone can easily become one of the best and not put any effort into looking out for the newer trainers. At the end there only real requirement is to keep winning. Everything else is just added nice things they can do and probably should do regarding their status
And given the fact that acting and film-making is cutthroat and if that's the realm Diantha has spent the majority of her time in, it's totally understandable why it just didn't occur to her to be more of a mentor.
The line "Now that's something I should've done more" is also really pertinent. Again like her statement at the Kalos League, it expresses regret for not being more involved. She understands where she went wrong and she's learning and growing as a person. She's not perfect, and that's what I've really come to appreciate about her.
What I love about Diantha in Pokemon Masters, is that you see that she is actively taking steps to grow by mentoring others. First in the Shining Hearts of Dragons event where she helps Iris one of the only child prodigy champions who actually holds the title. It's a lot of pressure for Iris and she could use some guidance and Diantha is the perfect mentor for her at that moment. Sure she's not a full on dragon tamer, but she knows what's it like to interface with the public and deal with harsh criticism so she can guide a younger champion into learning how to stand in the face of a negative public opinion.
We see this again in the "Melancholy Wally" event where she helps Wally realize that in his pursuit of becoming stronger he's lost sight of just enjoying being with his partner. Considering that Wally was partnered with a Gardevoir and her ace is a Gardevoir she of all people knew firsthand of how sensitive Gardevoir are to emotions and how that would be affecting their bond. She's more of a hands-off mentor as she doesn't really hover over Iris or Wally, but that works because they are very self-driven children so a more hands-off style of mentorship would work.
Sure the Iris and Wally events aren't official game canon, but the sentiment and growth are. It's why it would've been cool to see sequels to XY where she does take more of a mentor role citing that she wished she had of done that earlier
But yeah Diantha is a really cool character who I think gets dismissed a little too easily on account of her champion match. She has a lot more going on than meets the eye and now that the fandom is more receptive to her it's time for us to start looking at her character a little deeper.

THE ULTIMATE BTS ASTROLOGY ANALYSIS: MOON SIGNS- JIN
BTS moon signs masterlist
Jin, Jhope, and Namjoon all have their moons in their 1st house, so I wanted to put them close together so as you are reading, you can see how the SIGN (Aries for Jin, Taurus for J-Hope, Sagittarius for Namjoon) can change, making the PLANET (moon) act so different from person to person.
For reference, Here is what planets, signs, and houses mean. For all things astrology, go here. The moon is your emotions and how you react and handle your feelings in day- to- day life. The house and what zodiac sign your moon is in will affect how you handle your emotions compared to someone else.
JIN
Tumblr media
Moon in Aries 1st House
Thank God Jin has a water rising to balance out his fire sun and fire moon or else he would be even more savage than he is already. A little backstory on Aries: it is the 1st sign or “baby” of the zodiac. Legends say that the 1st sign in the zodiac generally means a brand new soul, while the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, is an old soul composed of all the other 11 signs together. The “baby” Aries is so excited about this new life that they are full of energy and ready to try all these exciting new things in front of them. This makes Aries impulsive and reckless at times, but also courageous and fearless. Because the “baby” 1st zodiac sign has not yet experienced anything, they don't have anything to lose- so they also don't need much to get by. Aries is also represented by the bull and is known for having a fiery temper, and boy does Jin. The good thing about all fire signs is that their tempers are quick to flare up and just as quick to cool off… With Jin having his Aries moon in the 1st house, he will need to be careful with his temper and speaking impulsively. The 1st house rules the mind and face, and with fire there? Yeah, every emotion and thought that goes through Jin’s head is shown on his face.
Tumblr media
Sagittarius Sun trine Aries Moon
Whenever I think of Jin, I instantly think “argument king.” He has comebacks for daysssss. And why is he so good at dissing people? Look no further than BOTH of his sun and moon signs being fire signs. This isn’t an act; he really is this fired up all day every day. And surprisingly, Jin is super lucky and blessed! When I was looking at his chart, he has so many Jupiter placements. This boy is a true Sagittarius, and seems to even have Sag’s ruling planet Jupiter looking down and smiling on him. I’ll dive in more on how lucky he is in other astrology posts about him. Basically, his Sag sun gives him his easy going and well-liked personality. All of the Sagittarius males that I have ever met have always been super generous and popular. All they care about is making sure everyone is having a good time. Jin can enhance his luckiness by using his Sag persuasive powers to bring himself great wealth. We see him do this already as BTS has already admitted that when they are too scared to ask HYBE for something, they send Jin to do it lol. And Jin is like the pokemon master of befriending entertainment ahjussis. His fiery personality just makes him a good time to be around.
Tumblr media
Aries Moon trine Cancer Mars
With a fire moon positively aspecting a water mars, Jin is FIERCELY protective and loyal to those he loves. His mind is always on his friends and family. Protecting and providing for those he cares about takes precedence above all else. Your car just broke down and you're two hours away? Call Jin. Hell, he would probably BIKE over if he had to. I just know that if someone was picking on Jungkook while he was still in school, Jin would have shown up to the school and demanded to speak with the principal. He is the literal definition of a ride or die. Jin has often said that he wants BTS to be together forever, and this is (one of) the placement in his natal chart where that undying love is coming from.
Tumblr media
Aries Moon Opposite Libra Jupiter
Fire moon (emotions) is opposite air Jupiter (luck, expansion). Luckily they are in agreeable signs so the harsh aspect is weakened. The way this aspect is portrayed by Jin is that his generous and friendly nature is so huge that other people admire him for it. He is known for his optimism. A downside to “expanded emotions” per say is that Jin could feel like he constantly needs to feel passionate all the time. There is this saying in Korean called 열정, where basically you have to be PASSIONATE! SHOW HOW HARD WORKING YOU ARE!! While being passionate and willing to take risks is great, Jin needs to remember to work on practical strategies to deal with any emotional distractions like doubt. Remember in the olddddd BigHit building when BTS did their dance practices in that tiny room? Back when there were no subs on the Bangtan Bombs? You would often see Jin practicing alone in the corner in the background. That is a perfect example of how hardworking he is- but he has admitted that he would OVERwork himself practicing because he doubted himself so much because of all the hate he got with his dancing. :(
Tumblr media
(Monsta X’s Jooheon is also like this. In the NA PD Starship episode, they even made him go sit under the 열정! 열정!! 열정!!! banner. I don't know Joohoney's chart but wouldn't be surprised to see if he too had Moon Opposite Jupiter)

Prologue [ Welcome to the Villains' World ] Chapter five
At that the dark mirror take all of them to..
|Dwarfs' Mine - Silent Woods|
Everyone open their eyes to only see forest.
"So this is the Dwarfs' Mine... Long ago, this mine was flush with magestones" Deuce said while looking around.
"Urgh... Who knows what lurks in there now?" Grim said in annoying.
"Hmn... Gogoat can you?" Florida ask her pokemon, Gogoat who know what she mean, he let both Florida and Ace get off from.
Ace look forward onto the forest and saw an old house. "Guys, I can see a house over there, let's see what the people there have to say"
Other saw as well so all of them go to the house they saw. when they at in front of the house, Florida stop and said "You 3 go inside while us will trying to find where the cave is" After that the 3 go inside the house.
"Ok now, Gogoat can you find the entrance of the cave?" Florida ask, walking closer to Gogoat that right now is far from the house.
"Go Gogoat"[I almost find it Master]
"I see, well I want know to what other 3 found"
"Sylveon!!"[The other is back!!]
"Thanks Sylveon for telling" Florida pets Sylveon and look up to see the 3. "Did you found anything?"
"Nothing at all, you?" Ace said.
"Goat"[Found it]
"He just found the entrance, let's go" Florida say and hop on Gogoat.
All of them follow to the entrance of the mind.
"Nya!! You wanna go inside THERE? It's pitch black!"
"What, are you scared of the dark? Pathetic so much" Ace said.
"Can you 2 stop? You act like a kid now" Florida said making those 2 stop saying. "Let' me do something first" Florida take one of her pokeball and throw that into the sky. "Sableye, I need your help" The ball open and a purple goblin that have gemstone as eyes come out.
"Holy— What is that?!?!?!" Ace said.
"Hmn.. Florida? what are they?" Deuce ask.
"Hmn.. Well let me give you something" Florida search something inside her side bag and that's her old pokedex a blue hoenn pokedex and give to the Deuce.
"I'll teach you how to use this" After Florida teach Ace and Deuce how to use a pokedex. "Now use it"
Deuce point the pokedex at Sableye. The pokedex said. "Sableye, the darkness pokemon, It hides in the darkness of caves. Its diet of gems has transformed its eyes into gemstones."
"Wow it eat that?!" Ace said.
"It you said is a she" Florida said
"Ohhhhh, well why she is here?" Deuce said.
"She will go inside the mine first to found the magestone" Florida get a small magestone out of her bag and given to Sableye. "Find this ok?"
"Eye!"[Of course!]
Sableye eat the magestone then go into the cave. Sometime minutes Sableye come back.
"Anything?" Florida asked.
"Sableye eye Sable Sableye"[I found the stone and also 2 ghosts in there and a monster of some kind]
"A monster of some kind?" Florida said.
Ace listened to what Florida said. "Monster?"
"Yeah that is what Sableye found, so as the stone we need to find too"
"What are you waiting for, let's go" Deuce run into the cave.
"Wait— we need to follow him" Florida said, get Sableye into the ball and hop on Gogoat and get Ace and Grim on Gogoat as well and go into the cave.
|Dwarfs' Mine - Interior|
"That 2 ghosts must got prank by Sableye" Florida said. Just ran pass 2 ghosts that passed out.
"So she is like a prankster?" Ace asked. Still on the Gogoat.
"That is Sableye's character, most of them are prankster by nature" Florida answered.
After running inside the mine, they finally saw Deuce trying to fight a monster.
"How can I win this?" Deuce thinking.
"Deuce!!! What the hell you doing!" Ace yelled making the monster notice them.
"Thieeef ...nevvva give stooonesss...! NEVVVA!!"
"Come back first" Florida said.
"I can't be expelled! How I can go back the magestone is there"
"Dude!! Do you want to get killed or something?"
The monster gonna hit Deuce but Florida already saw that coming. So she throw the pokeballl.
"Sableye use Protect, Sylveon use Double Kick" Florida command her pokemon.
Sableye come out in front of Deuce and create a light shield in front of her, protect them both. Sylveon jump high and land 2 powerfull kicks on the monster making the monster failed down.
"Huh?" Deuce confused at what happens.
"Dude come on now, we can not let you die that easily" Ace said.
"B-but—" Deuce got cut off because of Gogoat's vine grabbed Deuce before he could finish saying.
"We have him now, Let's go everyone!!" Florida said making all her pokemon go back to the outside.
Now outside of the mine. Ace hop down of the goat pokemon. "Are you crazy!! Do you not care about your life at all!!"
Deuce who just got put down by Gogoat. "Welll, as long as I'm not expelled"
"Let's just give up and go home. I'll happily take the expulsion if it means never having to see that thing again"
"What?! Nuh-uh, not happening! How can you give up when the stone is right there?"
"Pfft. Big talk from someone who almost get killed, I'm out"
"Whaaaaat?! Who're you calling chicken, huh?!"
"Whoa, Deuce... Is it just me, or did you, like, turn into a totally different person just now?" Grim said while looking at Florida.
"Yeah, I do agree on that" Florida said as well.
"Huh?!..." Deuce cough a bit. "Sorry... Lost my cool for a second there"
"If you don't want to get expelled, work together" Florida said going next to Sableye and pick her up.
"With Loosey-Deucey? No way. He'd get me killed!" Ace said in annoying voice.
"Like it'd be some treat for me to work with you?!" Deuce said as well.
"I have a plan but I need everyone help" Florida take out her other pokemon. "Come out guys"
Gallade, Goodra and Haxorus come out of the pokeball.
"Whoa, oh wait you have your powerfull animal? poke...? I don't know what you call but you have that and you didn't use?? why" Ace said, remember the time he go to the dorm with Florida.
"The mine is really old, if one of them use their move, the mine could collapse and kill all of us" Florida answers. "I have a plan, so would you cooperating together please"
"Gah... Fine. Let's just get this over with, so tell us the plan is"
...
..
.
"Is this plan of yours really gonna work? I'm sca- I mean, I'm a little... uh, hungry" grim said feeling a little nervous.
"Of course it'll work believe me, my plan always work out" Florida answered back.
"Sableye!"[The monster is coming out!]
"Ok, let's the plan begins" Florida said, making Grim know what he to do next.
"Hey, monster! I'm uh... I'm over here!!" Grim yell at the monster.
"Grrraaawrrr! BEGOOOOONE!"
"Let's hop on now" Florida pick Grim up and hop on Gogoat. They running away from the monster.
"Grrurgh? Thieeef thiiis waaay tooooo... Neeevvva giiive stooones! Neeevvvaaa!" The monster tryng to punches the 3 but Gogoat dodge all the punches.
"If those punches land on us, we're toast" Grim said.
"Let's go to where the other are waiting us?" Florida said to Gogoat.
"Gogoat"[Of course]
With Deuce and Ace, Deuce have Gallade who had set up some Swords Dance, Ace have Haxorus who already set up Dragon Dance.
"Where they going to be here?" Ace said.
"Just wait, we need to listen to Goodra cry to know they're here" Deuce said, waiting for they to take action.
"GOODRA"[THEY'RE HERE]
"It seems they're here" Ace said.
"We got him a good distance away from the mine!" Grim yell.
"This is our chance!" Florida said.
"You bet. I got this! One extra-large gust of wind, comin' up!" Ace said, summoned gust of wind.
"Haxorus use Dragon Claw on the left" Florida command. Haxorus run up to the monster with his claw glow light blue and slashes the monster leaves behind a trail of energy.
"Goodra Rain Dance then Gogoat Earthquake making him got trapped after that Goodra Aqua Tail, Gallade Thunder Punch" Florida make a huge command on her pokemon. Goodra summon rain then Gogoat gets on its hind legs, then brings its front legs down hard, creating an earthquake. The monster slip and fall between the crack. Goodra's tail becomes surrounded in swirling water and Gallade's fist becomes surrounded by yellow sparks, which grow into a ball of electrical energy. Both Goodra and Gallade hit on the monster at the same time. The monster is now paralyzing because of Gallade's Thunder Punch.
"With a side of Grim's blazing-hot fire! MYAAAH!" Grim use ember.
"Grrraaahhh?!" The monster scream in pain.
"After getting lots of attack, of course it gonna be in pain" Ace said.
"It your turn Deuce" Florida said.
"Just stay calm, aim carefully... and pull out the biggest, heaviest thing I can think of..." Deuce think a bit. "Get it, I summon cauldron!" A cauldron was summoned on the monster's head.
"Gwaaah?!"
"Nailed it! The plan's working as you plan! Florida" Grim said in a happy voice.
"Of course, while he still down, we need to go into the mine, everyone come back" Florida let everyone except Gogoat and Sylveon, she still on Gogoat waiting other 2 hop on.
"Let's get that magestone!" Deuce said making the monster hear.
"Guh?! Waaait! Nooooooo!"
All of them in front of the mine. The 3 is already down from Gogoat. Saw Sableye with the stone. Florida hop down from Gogoat and go pets Sableye.
"Good job Sableye" Florida says.
"Saaa!"[Yeyyy!]
"Ooooooooogh...! Giiive it baaaaack...!"
"Are you kidding me?! After all the attack!!"
"Well let's finish, Sableye!" She show her mega ring. All other 3 is confused what happens.
"Sableye!"[It my time!] On Sableye's arm have stone of some kind.
"Mega evolve!" The stone on her maga ring and the stone on Sableye's arm glow, the light between to 2 stone connect and Sableye's jewel from her chest now has grown gigantic.
"What the—" Ace says.
"MYYY STOOOOOOONE!" The monster run towards Sableye and hit and failed due of Sableye's gigantic jewel blocks it.
"Sableye, Sylveon use Shadow Ball" Florida command. Both Sableye and Sylveon forms a black and purple energy ball with black static around it in front of their mouth. Then fires the ball and it hit the monster.
"IIII CAAAAAN NOOOT GIVVVVVE"
"Sylveon Calm Mind, Sableye Shadow Sneak" Sylveon closes his eyes and his body glows brightly. Then he opens his eyes, raising his special attack power to the maximum. Sableye creates a shadow of herself on the ground, which extends past the monster. The shadow then attacks the monster.
"Woah that's look so cool!" Deuce say while looking at the fight.
"We are not done yet" Florida say. "Sableye block all attacks, Sylveon prepare yourself" The monster try to hit Sylveon but Sableye block with her gemstone, the gemstone slowly turning smaller.
"Ehh it a bit smaller now, won't... Sableye? get hit?" Ace say, he say the pokemon name correct.
"It's time! Sylveon Double Kick right on the head!" Sylveon jump really high this time, hits right on the hand, Sylveon land on the Sableye's gemstone and jump again to hits the second time making the monster failed down and disappeared, it seemed that the monster became a black stone.
"Is it... over?" Ace looked over of what just happened.
"I think... we won? I think we did it!" Grim say in exciting voice.
Sableye's gemstone is already small enough for Sableye to eat it making she back to her original form. "You doing great, you should take a rest now" Florida pull Sableye back into the pokeball.
"All right!"
"Woohoo!"
"Gimme a victory high-five!" All 3 of them give each other a high-five.
"This sure brings people together, huh?" Florida commons on this.
"Sylveon!" "Gogoat!"[We agreed!]
"Uh... I don't think that had anything to do with it" Deuce says, feels a bit embarrassing.
"Yeah! Just spare us the clichés" Ace says, feeling a bit embarrassing as well.
"There's no 'together' here! We won cause of me!... Well mostly her magical creature" Grim says, just realised that he did only a little bit.
"Y'know... I hate to admit it, but... We mostly won because of your plan and your pokemon" Ace says.
"Yeah... if you hadn't managed to keep your cool and tell us all what to do, we never would have got this magestone. Now I won't get expelled. And wow, is THAT a relief!" Deuce says, feeling so much relief.
"I'm just glad no one got hurt" Florida says. "Let's go back to the—"
Grim sniff a black gemstone. "What IS this? It smells amazing!" And Grim ate the gemstone.
"Are you insane!? You just eat that"
"Bad!! Bad Grim!! Spit it out!"
"MYAAAH!"
"Are you okay?!"
"That's what you get for eating trash!"
"Oooooogh... Urrrgggh... That... was AMAZING!"
"What?!" Both Ace and Deuce say.
"Rich in flavor and full-bodied... Like sweet, fragrant flowers burstin' into bloom on my tongue. A whole field of them! Right in my mouth!" Grim explained the flavour that he have.
"Gross. Monsters must have real weird tastes" Ace look disgusted by it.
"You might be onto something there... Most humans don't take random stuff they find on the ground and just pop it into their mouths" Deuce says.
"Maybe it Grim's biology? Who knows" Florida said while hop on Gogoat.
"Myah ha ha ha! Man, was that great! Don't worry about me. I don't got a weak stomach like you humans do"
"Hmph. We'll see if you're so smug when you're sick later tonight"
"Okay, let's pull ourselves together. We need to get this magestone to the headmage!"
All of them go back to the mirror chamber to see Crowley with some documents in his hand. Telling the headmaster how they got the magestone and fights a monster in the headmaster's office. After sometime Crowley told all of them that Florida and Grim will become a student in NRC but as 2 in 1 student. Grim got a magestone, And Florida got a ghost camera that enables the user to photograph not just the subject's physical form, but parts of their soul itself. Everyone dismissed and return dorms.

I feel like being nice for a change~
===
So just imagine with me for a second, how big a step it would be for exPlasma!Reader to move in with the twins? Cuz one of the many (manymanymaaaaany) obstacles for the soulmates was the twins being public figures with a lot to lose if they were seen associating with a former terrorist. If one tabloid got wind of Ingo and Emmet being soulmates with a criminal, there’s always the chance that half the city would disown them and the other half would pull the whole, “Oh how terrible! We’re so sorry you two have to go through something like this! You poor dears, you’re so brave!” etc, etc…
Buuuuuuuut, the twins being famous also gives them the perfect platform to try and make things better - not just for their soulmate, but for everyone else whose lives Team Plasma stole and ruined. After all, Ingo and Emmet are two-thirds of Unova’s beloved Nimbasa Trio, some of the strongest trainers in the world - if anyone could get away with saying “fuck you” to the haters, it’d be them.
Oh, you think people like Reader had any choice in the matter? That they deserve hatred because they were kidnapped and brainwashed and mentally tortured into doing Team Plasma’s bidding? No. Incorrect. They’re victims, and what they deserve is help and kindness and a chance to start over once their community service is done. And yes, this applies to all of Plasma’s abducted members. Now either go play in traffic or educate yourself, the Subway Masters are Very Disappointed™️ in you.
And no, Mister Faceless Reporter #25, the twins are not just “letting Reader stay with them out of the goodness of their hearts,” nor is Reader “a pity case” or a “publicity stunt.” No, you cannot interview them, leave Reader alone, they’ve been through enough (and also the twins aren’t their keepers, that’s gross.) No, the twins don’t care if this means people might start “boycotting the battle lines,” but dragons help anyone who tries to start something in Gear Station because you will be immediately kicked out and banned for life.
And hell, even if Reader isn’t living with them during all of this, just to have the boys publicly stand up for them, regardless of the potential backlash, would be massive. Ingo and Emmet stand to lose more than Reader does by doing this - their reputations, their careers, so much. And for them to go, “yeah nooooo, not hiding this anymore, done putting our image before our soulmate, thanks,” would be one hell of a way to start proving they really do plan on making that second chance Reader gave them count.
(Ultimately, I think the grand majority of Nimbasa would be on their side, so everything would turn out okay, but it’d still be nerve wracking for a hot minute there.)
~Spark💥
hhhhh
maybe the reader says, ok. ok, fine. i'll stay, i won't run from you, but i dunno about anything more than. . . being civil.
and the twins RUN WITH IT
they make sure that whenever they see the reader, they're so sweet. they say their greetings, give them little gifts, bring out their pokemon for the reader to pet if they choose. they don't care who sees, but arceus bless the bastard that tries to approach and say something bad about you to them
"you're aware that is a former team plasma member, right?"
"you don't have to put up with them because they're your soulmate!"
"i can't believe you two would associate with a criminal!"
ingo is better with words, but emmet is happy to step up and be blunt, to the point. don't talk about them like that. you don't know them, what their life was, so you have no right to judge and belittle someone trying to start their life over and start it right. if it bothers you that much, leave, and let them enjoy what little time the reader is comfortable spending with them
slowly, maybe things get better. the reader joins them in trips to the park, where their pokemon are out and playing, eager to get to know this new friend. and the reader reminiscences about their own pokemon, about their life, listening to the twins do the same.
the barest touching of the tips of fingers becomes intertwined pinkies before a goodbye. polite nods and hellos turn into small waves and smaller smiles. casual small talk turns into deeper conversations littered with bits of banter.
and the twins eat it up, revel in what little they get of it. this is the second chance they both wanted for so long; they'll be damned if they waste it.
they'll do anything to earn another little smile or a quiet giggle from you. they go home every night after seeing you and just gush to one another about how you did this or that. you smiled at them! you laughed at their joke! you made baby talk to their pokemon and didn't care if they heard you! you held their hand and squeezed it before going home!!!!
they're desperately in love, and so, so, so grateful to have you back in their lives after their horrible screw up from before
no nosy reporter is going to ruin it for them. and if someone obnoxious shatters your progress, scaring you back into the closed off person you were?
the twins have no mercy and new overpowered pokemon to play with.
but they have endless patience for you, especially now that they've caught of glimpse of what the future could be

Willie Ship of your choice and Pokemon AU?
The problem with living in a town with a gym, Reggie thought, was that every passing by would-be Pokemon master thought literally everyone with a Pokemon wanted to battle. It was exhausting. Especially when they wouldn't take no for an answer.
Listen, was it stupid for Reggie to try and punch out a Geodude? Yes, but it was better than trying to punch out a twelve year old. Probably. The twelve year old probably wouldn't have given him what felt like a black eye. And he had to act fast, because the Pokemon had been rapidly approaching his cowering Jolteon.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Alex asked as he came to on what appeared to be a park bench. It wasn't very comfy, except for his head, which was pillowed on something.
"That Sparky is a rescue, and if she doesn't want to fight, she shouldn't have to," he said, gently petting the Jolteon who was nuzzling her nose under his hand anxiously. "It's okay baby, nobody's going to hurt you."
Both of Reggie's Pokemon were rescues. His very first, a Growlithe puppy he'd found out in the rain when he was fifteen, was a constant companion. Reggie wasn't sure what had happened to it before he got him, but Buddy didn't particularly like fighting. He shied away from battles, and it took Reggie ages to realise why he always cowered behind his legs in a certain part of town. The part near the gym.
They'd worked on that, and getting his confidence up in general. Buddy was a happy Pokemon now, though he still didn't like battles. The only time Reggie had ever seen him fight was to protect Reggie, and to help him kick Sparky's owner's ass. Anyone that would raise his hand against his own Pokemon didn't deserve them. They did, however, deserve a black eye, a stolen Jolteon, and singed pair of jeans.
With a groan, he sat up, laughing when Buddy hopped on the bench and started anxiously licking at his face. "I'm okay, Bud," he promised. "What happened? Did Whitney put them to sleep?" That was their usual strategy, when trainers wouldn't stop bothering them. You couldn't start a Pokemon fight if you were too asleep to grab your Pokeballs.
Alex' emotional support Jigglypuff chirped at him from Alex' backpack.
"I was going to, but..."
"Yeah, sorry, Ziggy and I stepped in first," a new voice said from behind him. Reggie turned and blinked. Apparently, the comfortable thing his head had been pillowed on was this gorgeous stranger's lap. He had beautiful long dark hair, killer cheekbones, and just about the cutest Zigzagoon Reggie had ever seen draped over his shoulders like a fancy stole.
"I- uh- that's..." Really hot, Reggie wanted to say.
Sparky nudged his hand again, pointy fur prickling under his fingers. "Thanks," Reggie managed. He looked up at Alex, who seemed equally flustered at this hot stranger who just rocked up and saved them both, and then waited with them until Reggie regained consciousness.
"Are you... a trainer?" Reggie asked, carefully. He didn't seem to have any Pokeballs on his belt, just the Zigzagoon wrapped around his neck. But if he defeated that kid's entire arsenal, that Zigzagoon was probably powerful as heck.
"No," the guy said quickly. Ziggy nuzzled his cheek gently. "I... not anymore. Ziggy and I are just... travelling."
"Thank you for saving us," Alex said sincerely.
"If you're new in town," Reggie said, not wanting the guy to leave now that he was awake again. "Maybe we could show you the best places to get food?"
The man's guarded look changed into a beautiful smile. "I'd like that, yeah," he agreed. "I'm Willie."
In the end, Willie decided to stick around a lot longer than he planned, and Reggie and Alex never had to worry about pushy Pokemon Trainers again. Their boyfriend and his badass Zigzagoon had them covered.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Lost Tracks of Time, The Final Stop
Summary: After Ingo and Emmet meet with an unexpected guest, they travel back to the PMD future.
Author's Note: Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU @furiouskettle! They are the one who conceptualized Ingo and Emmet as Sneasels in the PMD verse, and this whole fic has been me running with the idea. They are the reason we got here, so thank you!!! I cannot say it enough!!
(Shippers DNI)
Ingo audibly gasped. “Emmet, that’s Volo!”
Volo looked behind Emmet. “Oh! Good to see you again, Subway Master Ingo! Or maybe I should say, good to see you again, Warden Ingo.”
Something hurt in Emmet’s chest. That sounded like when they met Togekiss. This was Togekiss’ trainer. Volo was the cause of Arceus kidnapping Ingo. Volo was the trainer Team Wish tried to resurrect, even if it meant destroying lives. The Red Chain. The Distortion. Giratina’s destructive blood. It all started from him. Emmet’s time in Hisui and Unova made the events from the future feel like an ancient destination, but it all flowed back to him. He was tortured. Ingo was tortured by watching him. They learned that from somewhere. It had to be from their trainer. It had to be from Volo.
Volo got a chill down his spine like when a wild pokemon plotted to attack him.
Emmet Mega Punched Volo in the face. Volo flew into an adjacent wall of the twins’ living room.
“EMMET!” Ingo covered his mouth as he ran down the stairs. His shout drew the attention of the pokemon playing in the backyard.
Two of Volo’s handmade pokeballs on his belt opened on their own.
“Don’t attack Volo!” Togekiss said. Though she still looked old for a Togekiss, her body looked strong, and her face lacked most of the wrinkles her future self had.
“How dare you!” Spiritomb said. He looked no different than he did in the future.
“You.” Emmet pointed to Togekiss and Spiritomb. He didn’t bother to hide his animosity.
Togekiss Moonblasted and Spiritomb Dark Pulsed Emmet. Spiritomb’s attack was no worse than a scratch, but Togekiss made Emmet fly into the couch, which itself was pushed back and dented another wall.
“What was that for?!” Eelektross asked as he flew into the scene with Chandelure in tow. He raised his voice as best he could.
“We want to know the same thing!” Spiritomb said as he got into Eelektross’ face.
Chandelure’s flames burst and burned with an intense energy. Ingo, Emmet, and Eelektross all knew it as Chandelure attempting to drain their life force.
Ingo ran and stood between Emmet and Volo’s pokemon. If this train continued its path, Emmet, Volo, or any of their pokemon would injure each other in a location not suited for major pokemon battles.  “Everyone, please cease!” Ingo said, pointing between Togekiss and Spiritomb and Emmet.
“Alright, alright, that’s enough,” Volo said with a cheerful tone for a human that just flew into a wall. Despite taking a pokemon attack to his face, there were no bruising or any sign of injury. “I appreciate you guys fighting back for me, but I probably deserved that one!”
“Why isn’t it working…?” a shyer but familiar voice said from behind Volo. It was Elgyem, holding onto his trainer’s leg and trying to use Psychic on Emmet.
“Oh, you wanted to help, too? How sweet.” Volo took out the pokeballs belonging to the three pokemon and recalled them back. He turned to Emmet and laughed. “Wow! You’re pretty scrawny, but what a punch!”
“What are you doing here?” Emmet stood back up and readjusted his uniform.
“Well, you two went missing, and now you’re back! I wanted to say hi and also, you know, get back the book I let you borrow,” Volo said.
“…Volo, could we ask you to remain at this station so all three of us can discuss some things?” Ingo asked.
“Sure! The only place I gotta be at is some ruins, and those can wait another day out of a couple thousand years,” Volo said.
After he and Emmet moved the couch back to proper position, Ingo put on a pot of coffee. Emmet sat on the couch while Volo sat in one of the guest chairs. Eelektross draped himself over the back of the couch. Chandelure hovered above everyone, shifting their gaze between Volo and Ingo.
“Oh? You’re not putting away your pokemon. That’s fine, but then I get to keep one of mine out. Just to keep things fair,” Volo said. He opened a pokeball to release Togekiss.
Togekiss looked at Emmet out of the corner of her vision. “Hmph.” She hopped onto Volo’s lap and walked on him in circles before nestling down. Volo began petting along her back in broad strokes.
Emmet needed to play ignorant on Volo’s immortality. He needed to follow the rules and drive this conversation safely. He broke enough rules by punching Volo. That said, he could bend the rules since Volo knew Ingo time travelled. “How are you alive? Ingo went to the past. How are you here now?”
Volo laughed, though something was off about it. “Straight to the point, huh? Well, here’s one thing you should know about me: I love learning history. I like visiting ruins and ancient civilizations. Just thinking about learning all the mysteries of the past gets my heart pumping. I spent so much time looking at relics that I became one, too!”
“That doesn’t make sense,” Emmet said.
“Not everything does, even after you spent over a century trying to unearth the truth. For example, I can’t help but notice how similar you and Ingo look.”
Emmet blinked. “We are twins.”
“I know! That’s not what I meant.” Volo’s eyes narrowed. A smirk remained on his face. “When I met your amnesiac brother 150 years ago, he looked at least 10 years older than how you look now, Emmet. Despite that, he now looks like he hasn’t aged or changed a bit. Sure, maybe Ingo went missing in a different disappearance that hasn’t happened yet, but just now Ingo recognized me. How is all that possible?”
Emmet kept his smile on as wide as he could. “I don’t know.”
Ingo heard the entire conversation. His heartbeat drummed against his chest. He placed three cups and a pot of coffee on a serving tray along with sugar and cream. Volo’s mere presence transformed the air of their home. He recalled Akari telling him that Volo ordered Giratina to “strike her down”. The phrase unnerved him for nights. But Volo now was not an immediate threat, so Ingo was happy to prepare refreshments. If Volo was a threat to Emmet or their pokemon, this meeting would occur very differently.
Ingo took the tray to the living room. He poured a cup for Emmet, Volo, and then himself before sitting down next to Emmet and Eelektross. He also prepared Emmet’s coffee how he liked it (with sugar) before preparing his own (cream and sugar).
“Volo, Emmet said that he found my station after he received the book you sent,” Ingo said. “I thank you for helping us reunite, but why did you send the book to him? What do you gain from that?”
“Am I not allowed to help people? Especially those screwed over by Arceus like myself?” Volo raised the brow of his visible eye.
“”Screwed over”?” Emmet asked.
“You heard me. I don’t know what Akari told you about me, but I wanted to meet Arceus so badly my life depended on it. My life back then, back in the Gingko Guild, was hell. I only cared about learning about history, but…” Volo sipped his black coffee. “I fixated on one pokemon – the Almighty Pokemon, the one that created all of existence. If I could meet it, if I could catch it, then I’ll turn this world into my own.
“…Obviously, that didn’t work out. How amazing that Arceus chose a teenage girl and a lost man over one of the ancient Sinnoh people’s descendants! And not only did I lose, my own partner Giratina betrayed me. They didn’t just leave me, no. They wanted me to “walk the earth until I learned why I suck”. That’s their exact words, by the way. So yeah, that’s the real way I got immortality. I’ve been around for 150 years, just hanging around, checking out ruins, going all over the place, and watching humanity and pokemon become more intertwined…”
“So imagine my surprise when I saw a familiar face grace the screens. Warden Ingo, a man so depressed that his own pokemon doubled as therapy buddies, was once a battle frontier brain! Well, it’d be more accurate to say I saw two familiar faces.” Volo chuckled. “Sorry, couldn’t help myself.”
“But that made me think… If Ingo was here, that would mean that, one day, he would disappear and end up in Hisui. And I was right! That day came. Boy, that was a day.” Volo paused his soliloquy to sip his coffee. “I remembered something Ingo said to me, when we first got to know each other I asked Ingo if he felt from the space-time rift… Do you remember your answer, Ingo?”
“I have no cause to think the rift is to blame... but then again, I hardly remember a thing, so it's difficult to say with certainty. I can't remember my own home, nor my family, if I had any...”
Ingo’s stomach became queasy. He remembered that conversation. He remembered the comment. The Pearl Guild relied on him, and his pokemon were the closest thing he had a family. But that deep-seeded loneliness never left Ingo while his station was in Hisui.
Volo laughed for a second. “And did he have a family! So, not only was Ingo’s friends and family left to wonder where he went, not only was Emmet driven mad from grief, but Ingo was stripped of his memories and left in Hisui as a shell of his old self! Yeah, that is one cruel creator.”
“It was your fault it happened,” Emmet said. “You tried to destroy the world. Ingo was taken because of your plan.”
“True. But did Arceus really need to rob Ingo of his memories? Or leave you behind without a single explanation, Emmet?” Volo asked. He basked in the lack of response from the twins. “All three of us have been screwed over by Arceus. I figured it’d be nice to give Emmet some answers about where – and when – Ingo was. Can’t say I expected you to disappear the next day, though! And why was your friend Elesa screaming about you dying...?”
“Don’t ask,” Emmet said, averting his gaze.
“If I may ask, Volo, do you still have meeting and surpassing Arceus as your destination?” Ingo asked.
“Nah.” Volo shrugged. “Well, I’m still pissed at Arceus. If it showed up in front of us right now, I’d battle it! But I’m not gonna go out of my way to summon it. Not again. It’s just not worth it. I may not have destroyed the world, but the world I came from is long gone. That’s good enough for me!”
“Then what is your current destination? What journey do you want to take?” Ingo asked.
“Well, right now I’m just checking out as many ruins and relics I can possibly find and maybe witness some history along the way. You know, I saw one guy try to do what I did. He summoned and tried to control Dialga and Palkia. He kinda looked like Cyllene now that I think of it. You wanna know how that ended? My former partner Giratina appeared and struck him down! That was hilarious to watch,” Volo said.
“Regardless of your past actions, thank you for helping Emmet,” Ingo said. “We are approaching our final stop for this trip.” He stopped to ponder Team Wish’s actions. “I recall some words from Miss Akari, about how you called yourself a ‘pokemon wielder’ as opposed to a ‘pokemon trainer’. Do you think that title still applies to you?”
“Hm, good question,” Volo said. He finished the rest of his coffee in one gulp. “What do you think, Togekiss?”
“I think you’re good,” Togekiss said. She nuzzled into his free hand. “Better than you think, that is.”
Emmet struggled to contain his dread.
“In that case, just make sure you treat your pokemon well. Even if you somehow had your lifetime extended by extraordinary means, I doubt that the same occurred for your pokemon. Please cherish them while teaching them to accept loss,” Ingo said. “As you said, the world very different now compared to Hisui. Not everything will and should be the same. Trainlines change to fit passenger needs, and the same should be of you.”
Volo smile changed. It sent a chill down Ingo’s spine.  “What? Do you know something I don’t?” After he stared at Ingo and Emmet and the latter’s horrified face, he broke and laughed. “Ha! Just kidding. But no, really, what brought this on?”
“Just some parting words. Please reach a higher state where you are more content with yourself, okay?” Ingo pointed to Volo and the ground.
“Sure thing, Ingo. Good to meet you and your right hook, Emmet!” Volo waved as he and Togekiss walked to the front door, which Ingo opened.
“And one last item before we can allow you depart: you went out of your way to meet with Emmet and I. Will you or have you done the same for Miss Akari?” Ingo asked.
Volo huffed. “Akari hasn’t been born yet. But I might know who her parents are. As for what I’ll do the day she disappears… not sure. I need to see what her folks are like. If they’re cool, I’ll get them something nice. If they’re not…” Volo laughed again. “I may be envious of her ability to meet pokemon of all types, but she’s still a respectable trainer. Was. I’m assuming she stayed in the past, unlike you.”
Ingo hummed. “Very well then. Please have a safe journey.”
“You forgot something.” Emmet presented the book to Volo.
“Oh, thanks! Nearly forgot, I enjoyed out chat so much.” Volo took the book. “You know that Laventon took all these photos? He did a good job with that camera, I gotta say. Well! Thanks for the coffee!”
Ingo stared at Emmet.
“…I am Emmet. I am sorry for punching you,” Emmet said.
Volo laughed. “And I’m sorry for… everything else. Well, everything that happened to you, anyway.” After one last wave, he and Togekiss left the twins’ home.
Ingo closed the door behind Volo. He and Emmet visibly relaxed, but they waited a full minute before discussing what just happened.
“Emmet! It is against the rules to harm guests! And when did you learn Mega Punch?” Ingo asked.
“Last night when I was looking through my TMs,” Emmet said.
“You… punched him…?” Eelektross asked.
”What? Volo is immortal,” Emmet said.
“Our meeting could have gone much differently if he noticed you used a pokemon move! He even noticed how I look younger than I did back in the Hisui station!” Ingo said.
“It was a risk. But it was worth it.”
“Just… please don’t do something like that again.”
“Alright.”
“Now, with that established, I need to admit… I had to stop myself from laughing. Only because he wasn’t hurt.”
Emmet smiled wider. “My only regret was not attacking Togekiss or Spiritomb.”
“But… that was a close call. I sincerely urge you to never do a stunt like that again.”
“Okay. I am sorry. Not for punching Volo but for almost endangering us.”
Ingo nodded. He then hummed as he mused over the pokemon in the room. Eelektross nudged his head into Emmet’s hands, and Chandelure went back to squeezing his torso. But someone was missing.
“I miss Sneasler. We should return to our station in the future soon. Should we depart before or after the Battle Subway returns to full operation?” Ingo asked.
Emmet began pacing about to think. “We should depart when her gift is ready.”
Ingo nodded. “That sounds like a good route to take.”
***
That evening, Ingo and Emmet entered the Distortion World. Both landed on their feet with minimal sliding. Ingo carried two presents stacked on the other in one hand and held the Spike Maul of Space in the other hand. Emmet held a single present in addition to his Rail Spike of Time.
“We have arrived,” Emmet said.
Giratina flew close into Ingo’s and Emmet’s faces, intentionally blocking their view of the Distortion World. They smiled. “Ingo and Emmet, my saviors. I have a surprise for you.” Giratina brought their wings around to cover the twins’ eyes.
“You made a surprise for us?” Ingo asked. “Thank you very much!”
“I am Emmet. I want to see the surprise.”
Giratina wound up and drew back their wings. Ingo and Emmet gasped. Reaching into the distorted sky was train tracks. The tracks appeared bare – just the steel beams and wood with the Distortion World visible between the beams instead of being supported by a ground. The tracks led to the island, and in front of Ingo and Emmet was a two-car minecart train. The two ran to get a closer look at the makeshift train.
“You constructed a train system?!” Ingo asked. He looked inside the front minecart and found a series of levers and a simple control panel. The cart seemed to double as the engine.
“Yeah, I made it while you two were practicing your shapeshifting,” Giratina said. “I liked your point about me needing to fly you around constantly, so this can carry you around the Distortion World while I do my own thing. And I still get to help you out!”
“Excellent! Bravo!” Ingo said.
“That is verrry convenient. Thanks!” Emmet said.
“Yeah, but before you go, one question: what’s with the boxes?” Giratina asked.
“These are presents for Sneasler, my Chandelure, and Eelektross,” Emmet said, pointing to the boxes with both hands.
“You’re bringing it to the future, right…? Let me see what they are, just in case it might throw Dialga or Palkia into a fit,” Giratina said.
Ingo told Giratina what their presents were.
“…I can see no possible way that can cause a space-time problem. If one of the other two take issue, I will fight them on your behalf. Anyway, let me change you into Sneasels and send you on your way,” Giratina said. Shadows hands manifested to hold the twins’ gifts. Giratina initiated the transformation for both Ingo and Emmet, as they weren’t confident with the transformation to do so on their own yet.
For Ingo, the transformation was no worse than a simple line transfer. Ingo’s heart no longer strained from Giratina’s magic and the anxiety it once caused him. Giratina was no longer Chained. Though he and Emmet were vulnerable, Ingo could trust Giratina fully. He laid his memories of their attacks in the past.
For Emmet, it was his normal now. He recalled the horrific sensation of Giratina warping his body when they were Chained and didn’t suppress the pain. Though he disliked the spinning and pushing sensations on his body, he couldn’t deny the ends it allowed him and Ingo to reach.
Ingo and Emmet opened their eyes, and they were Sneasel-shaped once more. As a test, Emmet shook his sleeves to feel the fabric shift its weight.
“Thank you again, Giratina,” Ingo said with a bow. “Now, let us depart and see what this train can do! All aboard!”
Ingo and Emmet jumped into the first car. Giratina shrugged, having expected them to go into one car each. Instead, they followed along, and the helping hands placed their boxes into the second cart. It only took Ingo and Emmet a few seconds to figure out how to start the cart’s motor. After a brief rumble, the minecart train began following the track.
Ingo and Emmet held onto the edges of their car as the train picked up speed. The stilled distorted air formed a wake of wind as the twins drove, though they had no doubts that them and their coats would not fly out. The railroad track through the Distortion World resembled a rollercoaster more than a typical train system, but it was Giratina’s thought into the gesture that counted.
Before they knew it, Ingo and Emmet arrived at a familiar island with a waterfall. In the water was the image of Sneasler, Chandelure, and Eelektross at Icebound Falls.
Ingo and Emmet shared a look and nodded. “All aboard!” With the tools and boxes in hand, they jump into the waterfall.
***
Ingo and Emmet jumped out of the Icebound Falls and faceplanted into the snow. Despite the tumble, the three boxes they carried suffered no damages or dents.
“Are you okay?!” Eelektross asked. He and Chandelure hurried to pick up their trainers.
“I am Emmet. He is Ingo. We are fine,” Emmet said as he stood and shook the snow off his sleeves.
Ingo brushed the snow off the two presents he held. “If I may ask, how long have we been gone in your eyes?”
“Uhhh like an hour? Two hours?” Sneasler asked.
“Hm. What a peculiar time discrepancy. Perhaps that accounted for the times we opened the portals but didn’t enter through?” Ingo said.
“Yes. The time is from our training,” Emmet said.
“Training…?” Eelektross asked.
“Yes! Emmet and I began to with Giratina to better control our shapeshifting abilities!” Ingo clasped his hands as he talked. “Between our time in Hisui and time in Unova, we spent a total of 10 days away from this station!”
Sneasler raised a brow. “Huh, impressive.”
“Ingo, we need to connect the tracks,” Emmet said. He had the Rail Spike of Time ready.
“Of course! My apologies for the delay. Sneasler, Chandelure, please carry these for a moment.” Ingo handed Sneasler the box.
“Here you go.” Emmet gave Eelektross the box he held.
“Okay… Uh, what’s in the boxes?” Sneasler asked. Chandelure watched her shake the box and try to hear what was inside. Something thudded around inside and brushed the cardboard, but the sound was dull. Before she could begin to guess the box’s contents, an iridescent flash of light attracted her attention. Pink, yellow, and blue lights shined and glittered against the snow as the image of the Distortion World disappeared from the ice.
“Connection complete,” Emmet said as he and Ingo returned the tools to their place somewhere inside their coats.
“Cool. But again, what’s with the boxes??” Sneasler asked.
“Open them,” Emmet said.
Eelektross scratched open the box. Inside were several mocha and spice poke puffs. One sniff confirmed his suspicion. Back when Ingo and Emmet were Subway Masters, there was a bakery specializing in poke puffs that Eelektross loved. They only went once a week, but Emmet took Eelektross to get puffs. Eelektross felt a tear run down his face. “…Th… Thank…”
Emmet petted Eelektross. He gave his pokemon a soft smile, accepting the thanks.
Chandelure gently burned the paper of their gift. Inside were several dry poffins, which came from the same bakery as the poke puffs. Chandelure’s flames danced happily as they took some poffins and made them float in their flames. Chandelure made eating motions with their mouth as the flames consumed the treats.
“I am glad you enjoy them, my Chandelure! I know you aren’t that fond of poke puffs like Eelektross is, so I am glad to see these are satisfactory for you!” Ingo said.
“Okay… so what’s in mine? Poffins? Puffs?” Sneasler asked.
“Sneasler, do you remember the day we set off for Cobalt Volcano? I was determined to follow the request, even though I lacked the qualifications to survive in such a mystery dungeon. Despite barely knowing me, you boarded my train and turned a perilous journey into a safe one. Because of you, Emmet and I were able to reunite in record time. You rescued us when we were lost in a Distorted Floor, you taught us how to climb as Sneasels, assisting us in battling the Chained Nobles and Team Wish, and these are only things I can recall immediately!” Ingo smiled. “I cannot emphasize it enough. Emmet and I may have been the ones tasked to rescue Giratina, but we could not have reached the destination without you!”
“So there’s a gift,” Emmet said.
Sneasler tore the wrapping paper apart and opened the box. Inside were two items. She first took out the cap. It had the same type of hat that the twins wore, including the Subway Battle badge on the front. However, the fabric was gray instead of black or white.
“Wh-What is this?” Sneasler asked. A nervous smile was stuck on her face.
“It is a conductor’s cap,” Emmet said. “It is your cap.”
“Are you serious?” Sneasler asked.
“Why wouldn’t we be? You’re not just a member of Team Conductors anymore. You are part of our family,” Ingo said.
Sneasler turned to Chandelure and Eelektross. “Are you guys fine with this? Don’t these clothes, like, mean something special or something? Won’t I, a non-train person, taint the meaning of the cap or something??”
“You have done the poses… You have said the train terminology… I heard you were even the one who invented the ‘ticket punch’ thing… Accept you fate,” Eeleketross said. Next to him, Chandelure’s flames danced in a regular pattern. “They’re chanting “join us, join us”.”
Sneasler turned the cap around in her hands. With a sigh, she accepted her fate. Sneasler slowly raised the cap to her head and put it on. Unlike the twins’ caps, her hat accommodated her ears.
“Bravo! We estimated the correct size!” Ingo said.
“But your uniform is not complete,” Emmet said, pointing to the box and to the ground.
“”Uniform”? …Oh no.” Sneasler looked into the box again. She forgot about the second item for a moment. A piece of folded fabric shared the same shade as the cap. Sneasler already knew what it was. She picked up the fabric and let it unfurl. It was a coat identical to Ingo’s and Emmet’s coats, though it was completely undamaged and gray just like the cap.
“You are similar in height to our human shapes,” Emmet said. “Put it on. It should be perfect.”
“You two are ridiculous…” Sneasler took off her basket. Much to her horror and chagrin, Emmet was right. The sleeves stopped short of meeting her claws, and the coattail did not drag on the ground.
“Excellent! Bravo!” Ingo clapped. “The uniform perfectly fits!”
“As it should. That is the uniform of a Subway Boss,” Emmet said.
“I haven’t even BEEN to a subway, Emmet! I’m not a conductor!” Sneasler really tried to get these two to change their minds about the gift.
“You are now,” Ingo said. “Oh! Some time in the near feature, we should visit Anthe! I’m sure she would gladly customize your cap to increase your already-great strength, Sneasler!”
Sneasler tried to force back her nervous smile, but she couldn’t fight it. If her skin was visible through her fur, her friends would see her blush.
“What do you say, Sneasler…?” Eelektross asked like a parent to their small child.
“Th-Thanks…” Sneasler said through the unsteady smile. “It’s… really great…” Her voice cracked.
“I am glad,” Emmet said. “Next stop: the Pearl Guild. Irida wanted to do something for us when you woke up, Ingo.”
“Oh, did she? Very well. Let’s not delay any longer! May we board your train, Sneasler?” Ingo asked.
Sneasler took a deep breath in. Her normal expression returned. “Sounds good. Just let me punch you tickets first.” She placed the basket in front of her and slapped off the top.
Ingo and Emmet lined up in front of the basket. Ingo was first, so he took off his cap and bowed slightly to present his head to Sneasler. Sneasler held her hand up and almost contacted Ingo’s head, but she stopped and held her hand above his head.
“Is something the matter, Sneasler?” Ingo asked.
“…Guys, why do I remember EMMET BEING IN HISUI?!” Sneasler asked, her fur standing up from panic.
“Me in Hisui? What do you remember?” Emmet said.
“Uh, my ancestor looking at you and being like “Is that a shiny Ingo?”. Ugh!” Sneasler facepalmed. “I cannot believe this…”
“Oh! Giratina mentioned that Dialga hides memories of those involved with time travel. If the memories of the past exist within you and Dialga hidden them from you, then as Emmet and I live our lives in the past, then more memories are connected back to you! …Did that make sense?” Ingo asked.
“Eh, I think I get it,” Sneasler said. “That’s… unnerving.”
“…Does that mean you two remember seeing us transform?” Emmet asked Eelektross and Chandelure.
Eelektross looked confused for a moment, then his eyes widened. “I… have… no idea what you are talking about…” He turned his gaze away in horror.
“You are lying. I can tell,” Emmet said.
“Please…! I just wanted to pretend I didn’t see it…” Eelektross said. He glanced over to Chandelure to see what they were saying. “Don’t give me that “it wasn’t that bad”…! …Wait. EMMET, YOU MEGA PUNCHED VOLO?!”
“What??” Sneasler asked.
“I did,” Emmet said.
Eelektross set down the box of poke puffs and grabbed his head. “Oh dear stars… It is a miracle Team Wish didn’t obliterate us on sight!”
“Ingo, Emmet, what the hell is he talking about?” Sneasler asked.
“As you know, Volo was immortal and walked the earth for several centuries. He visited our origin in Unova to talk with us… and Emmet Mega Punched him. Thankfully, he didn’t seem to notice it was a pokemon attack from a human, but it was rather dangerous,” Ingo said. He fully expected Sneasler to start berating Emmet for the stunt.
Instead, Sneasler snorted. “Wait, really?” She grabbed her stomach as she started laughing. “I can only imagine! I wish I saw his face. …But seriously, Emmet, don’t do anything that stupid again. Please.”
“I won’t…” Emmet said. He noted that Ingo and Sneasler asked of him the same promise and was amused.
“Well, this is all great. Really great.” Sneasler sighed. “Let’s get outta here so I can take a nap. Too many things happened today.”
“Very well, Sneasler! All aboard!” Ingo said.
After Sneasler punched Ingo’s and Emmet’s tickets, she wore the basket and travelled with Chandelure and Eelektross back to the Pearl Guild.
***
That evening, the Pearl Guild and the ten Nobles gathered in the guild’s assembly hall. The lush area was converted from an empty room to one with several round tables for each team. The party was held for primarily the Pearl Guild (the Diamond Guild had theirs the previous night), but Adaman, Staravia, and Team Galaxy were present as guests of honor at a main table. Ingo, Emmet, and Chandelure also sat at the table (Eelektross did his best to sit, but because of his long body, he more so floated next to the table while the rest of his body acted like an inadvertent barrier). Sneasler also sat at the table, still wearing the coat and hat Ingo and Emmet gave her.
The housekeepers gave everyone dinner. Once most everyone finished eating, Irida and Chatot stood on stage.
“May I have everyone’s attention?” Chatot asked with a squawk. “The stage is yours, Guildmaster.” He bowed and let Irida step forward.
“Good evening, everyone!” Irida said. “About one week ago, an event unprecedented in mystery dungeon history occurred. The Coronet Mountain mystery dungeon, one of the largest dungeons in the world, transformed into absolute Distortion. As a result, hundreds of pokemon were trapped inside and unable to even traverse to safety.
“It’s events like this that remind us why rescue teams like us are so needed in the world we live in. When dungeons first formed and warped space around them, it was the duty of the Original Rescuers to help the pokemon in these spaces. And that duty has been passed to us, as we saw in Coronet Mountain. Thanks to all the teams here, we rescued all the pokemon in the Distorted Dungeon and escorted them to safety! Please give yourselves a round of applause!”
The bipedal pokemon applauded. The quadruped pokemon hollered and shouted. Emmet briefly considered using Round as a joke.
“I also want to take a moment to thank a particular team for their work in the great rescue. I call to the stage the co-leaders of Team Conductors, Ingo and Emmet!” Irida said.
Ingo and Emmet stood from their seats. Emmet wrung his hands and Ingo fidgeted with his coat sleeves as they climbed the stage to face Irida and Chatot.
“For your bravery and actions at Spear Pillar, for stopping the Distorted Floor effect and saving the life of an almighty pokemon, we present you with the highest honor the Pearl Guild can give you,” Chatot said. He held a pillow behind his back that he then presented to Ingo and Emmet. On the pillow were two explorer badges with a pink central gem, black casing, and pink wings.
“Team Conductors, congratulations on reaching the master rank!” Irida said.
“The master rank is the highest rank we can bestow on you as a guild,” Chatot said. “If you wish, you two can apply for the guildmaster rank. It will take difficult work and the approval of over half the Nobles and the Pelliper Post Office, but you can become someone like Irida, Adaman, or the newest guildmaster, Cyllene.”
“Thank you!” Ingo and Emmet took the badges. Emmet saluted and Ingo bowed.
“No, thank you.” Irida bowed to Ingo and Emmet, and Chatot followed suit. “Is there anything either of you would like to say while you’re up here?”
“Yes.” Ingo turned to face the rest of the Pearl Guild. When they learned of the Pearl Guild’s celebration, Ingo had a suspicion that they would need to speak on behalf of their team. Ingo may have gotten ample practice and opportunities to speak in a formal setting, but it never got easier, even when he scripted his speeches. “While what Guildmaster Irida and Sir Chatot regarding our feats are true, I do not want to diminish any of your accomplishments! Just like how a train has multiple different cars with different functions, everyone’s actions and duties were vital in rescuing all the pokemon trapped inside Coronet Mountain. Knowing that other teams were escorting pokemon through the Distorted Dungeon put my mind at ease and follow the tracks to our destination!
“I say the same to you, Guildmaster Irida, Guildmaster Adaman, and Guildmaster Cyllene, and Rei and Laventon. Your presence at Spear Pillar made it easier for our team to carry out the mission. I also want to thank the rest of our team as well! My Chandelure and Eelektross have been vital in keeping us safe and helping us carry out our missions. And none of this would have been possible without our older sister Sneasler protecting us and carrying out her duties as a Noble!”
Sneasler’s heart skipped a beat. Her eyes went wide as she began processing what Ingo just said in front of the entire Pearl Guild and her Noble peers.
“Though Emmet and I gladly accept this token of our appreciation, we owe our success to many others. Of course, our destination as a rescue team is still a speck on the horizon! We will continue our duties as rescuers for as long as we are needed.” Ingo turned to Emmet. “Is there anything you would like to add, Emmet?”
Emmet nodded. What I do. What I say. Always the same. Follow the rules. Safe driving! Follow the schedules. Everyone smile! Check safety. Everything's ready! Aim for victory!”
“All aboard!" Ingo and Emmet stood back-to-back, pointing to the audience and the ground. This earned them a cheer from the guild familiarized to the twins’ antics.
The rest of the festivities began. Palina, Lian, and Calaba drummed up a storm to provide music. Once the tables were moved out of the way, there was dancing, snacking on mochi and poffins, and plenty of socializing.
…Which was why Ingo and Emmet walked out of the assembly hall and into the cold Mt. Coronet air.
“I guess the party was too much…?” Eelektross asked as he and Chandelure rejoined them.
“Yes. It’s like the parties Elesa brings us to sometimes,” Emmet said.
“Did you not enjoy the parties? I recall you speaking of them fondly to our subway team members,” Ingo asked.
“I like them, but parties are tiring,” Emmet said.
“I suppose that is fair. The honor from the others, while pleasant, does not seem necessary. I just wanted to help as best we could,” Ingo said.
“You two are ridiculous,” Sneasler said, sitting next to them. “I cannot believe you actually called me your sister on stage. Electrode keeps making jokes about it! And Arcanine won’t stop bothering me about why I hid you two! Why did you do this??” She took off her coat and used it as a blanket. Chandelure cuddled up next to her, much to Sneasler’s chagrin.
“As Ingo said, you are family,” Emmet said.
“C’mon! You guys haven’t even met my dad!” Sneasler said.
“You said in a previous time that you wanted to reconnect with your father. Perhaps we could all meet together?” Ingo asked.
Sneasler sighed. “Fiiiine, I guess…”
“So… Are you actually going to go for the guildmaster rank…?” Eelektross asked.
“Perhaps. We are Subway Masters. We could be Rescue Masters, too,” Emmet said.
Ingo hummed. “True, but Emmet, you posed an interesting question to Dialga when we received the Spike maul of Space and Rail Spike of Time.”
“Did I?” Emmet asked, genuinely intrigued.
“Yes! You wondered if we could build a train system in this time period!” Ingo said. “And Dialga did not object to the suggestion.”
Sneasler found herself dozing off, but her eyes shot open. “No.”
Emmet’s eyes seemed to sparkle. “Ingo, I want to build a train!”
Sneasler catapulted into upright position, startling Chandelure. “Are you serious?! You have trains in Unova! Why do you want one here??”
“It would not be just for our sake, Sneasler!” Ingo stood and pointed to Sneasler and the ground. “Surely you know how far a single rescue team can hike in a single day to get to one mystery dungeon. If the dungeon is a particularly distant location, the teams would be already exhausted by time of their arrival! But if we create a train system that reaches across the Sinnoh region, any rescue team could use them and get to their destination much more efficiently!”
“Can we have pokemon battles, too?” Emmet asked.
Ingo’s eyes widened, also sparkling almost. His hands briefly shook. “Yes! What an excellent idea! If we can reinforce the trains just like the Battle Subway, we can have rescue teams train and grow stronger with each other!”
“I like your plan, Ingo!” Emmet said.
“You helped concoct this idea, Emmet! Take pride in it!” Ingo said.
“Okay…” Sneasler facepalmed. “Guys. How do you plan on getting enough land and materials to make a train system?”
Ingo and Emmet shared a look and began thinking. Ingo closed his eyes and hummed while Emmet began pacing.
This, of course, got Sneasler to think, and a flash of inspiration from a past Noble of the Cliffs struck her. “The Underground.”
“The Underground?” Ingo and Emmet asked together.
Sneasler covered her mouth to hide what she said, but it was for naught. She sighed. “Yeah, the Grand Underground… Some ruin maniacs dug up the land under Sinnoh and made a whole network of caves. They were pretty spacious and…”
“And?” Ingo and Emmet stared at Sneasler in anticipation.
“…And the underground never turned into a mystery dungeon. If it was going to turn into one, it would’ve by now,” Sneasler said, immediately regretting it.
“What a perfect location for a subway! We can recreate the Battle Subway!” Ingo said.
“Thank you, Sneasler. You are the best sister we could have,” Emmet said.
As Ingo and Emmet began discussing logistics of their plan, Sneasler realized how sealed her fate was.
***
Ingo and Emmet woke up to a world made of rainbow light. Ingo and Emmet looked at each other, identifying and confirming their location to each other without words. An intense presence manifested in front of them. The presence coalesced into a towering and familiar pokemon.
“Greetings, Not Humans or Sneasels. Welcome to my realm. Tell me thine name.” Arceus’ voice reverberated in the twins’ minds.
“Greetings, Arceus. My name is Ingo,” Ingo said. He tipped his hat to the Almighty pokemon.
“I am Emmet.” His body was shaking. “You are Arceus. I want to battle.”
“…Dost thou know why thine are here?” Arceus asked.
Ingo’s frown deepened. “This involves our mission to Rescue the Deep Shadow. Is my assumption correct?”
“Yes. This is indeed about thine mission. Both of thee far surpassed my expectations,” Arceus said. “What would thoust wish as a reward?”
“I. Am. Emmet. I want to battle you.” Emmet pointed directly at Arceus. He did not stop shaking.
Ingo frowned deeper. “Emmet, I understand your feelings, but I doubt that Arceus would-“
“We can do that,” Arceus said.
“Excuse me?” Ingo’s confusion displayed on his face in addition to his voice.
“Is that not what dost desire? Thou hast expressed many a frustration regarding me. Would a battle suffice thine rage? I am glad to oblige. After all, thoust has met and greatly exceeded mine expectations.” Arceus tilted their head. “What does thou think?”
“…May Emmet and I have a moment to discuss this?” Ingo asked.
“That is acceptable. Make thine preparations as needed.” Arceus hopped backwards, gliding in the air.
“Emmet, these circumstances are rather… questionable and sudden,” Ingo said.
“…Ingo, I want to battle Arceus.” Emmet stared at Ingo. His smile grew even wider. “I am only concerned if they cheat again. Is there a route for victory for us?”
Ingo pinched the bill of his cap and hummed. “…There is a route for us. In Hisui, I constructed the Path of Solitude as a training field for the Galaxy Team and Miss Akari. There is a specialized route with a single battle customized for every pokemon in the pokedex that the Galaxy Team built.”
Emmet’s eyes widened as he picked up Ingo’s hint. “Including Arceus?”
“Including Arceus.” Ingo leaned in to whisper his idea to Emmet. He had to control his voice more than normal to stay quiet.
After a moment, Arceus asked, “Are thee prepared?”
“I believe so,” Ingo said. “Is there anything you would like to add, Emmet?”
Emmet nodded. “Follow the rules. Safe driving! Follow the schedules. Everyone smile! Check safety. Everything's ready! Aim for victory! All aboard!"
Arceus gave them a single nod. They contacted the battleground, the air shifting around the three pokemon. Arceus tapped the ground, and the light gave way to a blue circular field decorated with more glowing circles and lines. Around them was a sky that shifted between deep blues dotted by stars and white light separated into the full spectrum.
Arceus stomped the ground, creating a visible shockwave. Emmet focused on jumping over the shockwaves, trying to find a window to attack. Arceus kept stomping, though, making him focus on avoiding the attacks.
“Emmet, watch your surroundings!” Ingo said as he Quick Attacked into Emmet. As he and Ingo flew, Emmet saw a meteor strike the spot he stood on a second ago. Ingo landed on his stomach, so it was Emmet’s turn to rescue Ingo from another meteor charging at them.
After three more dodges, Arceus changed tactics. Their coloring shifted to browns and oranges, and one massive ball of energy formed above their head. The ball shot out a barrage of ground-type Judgement to Ingo and Emmet, requiring Ingo to continue using Quick Attack to grab Emmet and dodge the attacks. Though none of the attacks were direct hits, an explosion of dirt and mud occurred each time the ground was struck, hurting both Sneasels. The barrage of Judgements suddenly stopped. Several more balls of energy orbited around Arceus.
“This is our chance,” Emmet said, pointing to Arceus and the ground. It was time to see if Ingo’s strategy had merit.
Ingo drenched his right hand in poison and jumped to Poison Jab Arceus. Arceus changed color to a metallic palette – steel-type to make themself immune to Ingo’s attack. But before Ingo struck, energy swirled around his left fist. Ingo Drain Punched Arceus, not only healing some of the damage he acquired but striking the mythical pokemon with a super-effective move before they could change typing again.
Arceus stumbled from the attack, and the balls of energy poofed into nothingness. He turned and stared at Ingo with wide eyes.
Emmet’s smile grew even wider with Ingo’s strategy proven effective.
“My Path of Solitude for Arceus involves multiple pokemon. Arceus changes their typing for each attack, but they cannot change their typing rapidly. All my pokemon would have moves that could strike every type’s weakness. We can do the same here by using the same movesets we used to free Giratina!”
Emmet Dug under the stage (though not certain how, given that the stage was made of light). Arceus sensed where he would pop up from, so they changed to a flying-type and floated away from Emmet’s range of attack. Arceus noticed Emmet preparing an Ice Beam. They tried to shift into a fire-type, but Ingo struck them in the back with Iron Tail, distracting Arceus for enough time for Emmet’s Ice Beam to hit their stomach as a flying-type.
Arceus fell to the battleground. Not only did their coloring change to reds and oranges to match the fire-typing, but their entire body glowed with red light. Arceus Teleported away. Ingo and Emmet searched the battleground to locate the Almighty pokemon. They realized Arceus was gone when the floor glowed with a red aura.
“Is Arceus planning an attack that covers the entire field?!” Ingo asked. The floor’s glow intensified with each passing second.
Emmet desperately ran around to find any opportunity for cover, but the land of light was completely flat and featureless. The floor started burning Emmet’s feet. The only option was going up. “All aboard!” He tackled Ingo and threw him into the air.
“Emmet?!” Ingo yelled. He watched Emmet use Aerial Ace to jump into the air.
Emmet timed the throw as best he could, but it wasn’t enough. Ingo and Emmet felt hot gases blow through their coats and onto their fur. They flew to opposite ends of the battlefield and planted into invisible walls. They fell and hit the ground once more.
“Emmet!” Ingo immediately stood up and ran to his brother. “Are you able to continue battling?”
“Yes…” Emmet slowly stood up, though he accepted Ingo’s offer of a helping hand. He had been wanting this battle as soon as he remembered Arceus’ actions and the first unfair battle. Emmet refused to let an Overheat-like explosion knock him unconscious.
A sharp cracking sound resonated around the field. Ingo and Emmet looked up and saw dark cracks in the sky above them. Ingo Quick Attacked while grabbing Emmet once more, avoiding Arceus crashing back onto the field and stomping them with Earth Power. Arceus looked up and stared at Ingo and Emmet as the floor glowed red once more.
“Another attack? We can’t withstand another explosion!” Ingo said.
“…Full speed ahead!” Emmet ran straight to Arceus. Why did Arceus hide themselves for the first explosion, Emmet asked himself. Because an attack of that power needed concentration. Ingo followed his determined brother without question. Emmet used Aerial Ace like how Ingo used Quick Attack and reach Arceus in a shorter time.
Arceus saw the flying-type attack and changed to rock typing. Ingo used the momentum from a Quick Attack to jump at Arceus with Drain Punch. Seeing that, Arceus changed to a ghost-type form. Ingo flew through Arceus like the Almighty pokemon was a mirage. Arceus turned to see where Ingo would land, but Emmet struck from behind with a Snarl, knocking Arceus off-balance. Arceus changed into a fairy-typing to combat Emmet’s next Snarl, but Ingo Poison Jabbed them in the back of their neck. When Arceus turned around and changed into a ground-type in response to Ingo, Emmet Ice Beamed their legs, forming large ice crystals that dug into their skin.
Arceus found themselves in a larger bind than expected. As a last attempt to knock out one of the twins, Arceus changed their form to psychic typing and charged Judgement. Ingo flew to them with Drain Punch, his eyes widening when he registered the type change. Judgement reached maximum strength. Arceus fired.
Emmet jumped in, taking the Judgement to his chest. Strange pink light burst at his chest but caused no damage. With the attack mitigated, Emmet summoned every thought, every desire, every inch of his rage against Arceus into one point-blank Snarl.
Arceus’ legs shook. They raised a front leg to step forward, but the rest of their legs collapsed. Arceus’ head hanged low on the ground.
“We won! We won!” Emmet flapped his hands and sleeves about.
“We won… We truly won!” Ingo took several deep breaths. A smile crept up on his face. “Excellent! Bravo!”
Emmet walked up to Arceus. “You were verrrry strong. We should battle again sometime.”
“I agree,” Arceus said.
All of Arceus’ physical weakness disappeared, as did the blue battlefield they summoned. The three returned to the realm ruled by light. Arceus’ body returned to their normal coloring, and they stood up like nothing happened.
“Thou hast done well to rescue the Deep Shadow. Thine determination and devotion led thee to thine to the end… Much as the ancient hero, the one will my full blessing, once did. Thou was given a difficult task made more difficult by only receiving half my blessing each.”
“That explains some strange events…” Ingo said to himself.
“Despite the additional challenge, thy has succeeded in thine mission. Thou may no longer be human, but thou art a great example for Humanity.” Arceus paused, their gaze drifting to the side. “The vanishing of Humanity. It was a low point for recent history. Humans quarreled and used Pokemon as tools instead of friends. I believe thou, along with thine Pokemon friends, are proof that Pokemon and Humanity can coexist. I thought myself foolish to think so in the past, but now I am the fool for thinking a fact no longer true.”
“I can bestow upon thee both my full blessing, a blessing thou can take to the creation thou dwellest and roam,” Arceus said.
Ingo closed his eyes and hummed. Sneasler’s words echoed in his mind.
“Who the fuck cares about Arceus?! You’re Ingo and Emmet! I’ve seen what you little shits can do. …So what are you two gonna do? Sit in this station and drown in sorrow or are you gonna do what you always do and kick ass?!”
“…Arceus, thank you kindly for the offer. However, a full blessing is unnecessary now,” Ingo said with a bow. “I think, right now, our only desire is to board all the routes we made for ourselves and live our lives – all three of the lives Emmet and I have now.”
“I agree,” Emmet said.
“Is that… satisfactory?” Ingo asked.
Arceus stared at Ingo and Emmet. “If that is thine wish, that is one I can grant. Enjoy thine lives, Ingo and Emmet. I thank thee for everything.”
After a flash of light, Arceus disappeared, and the realm Ingo and Emmet stood on disappeared into absolute darkness.
The next morning, Ingo and Emmet woke up in their beds in the Pearl Guild. They were exhausted but satisfied.

In the corner of some visions, or hidden in the shadows of light, there are windows into another realm. The mirages depict shadows and floating islands and impossible waterfalls and alien plants. The images are seldom found and more seldom glanced at for more than a second. Only a select few know they were windows of the Distortion World.
Sometimes within these mirages are a set of train tracks. No one knows where they lead to or why they exist, but people who barely glance at them mention a longing for a long trip with no specific destination or visiting old friends they haven’t talked to in years. The “Lost Tracks of Time” or simply “The Lost Tracks” are a strange, seldom observed phenomena. However, those who observe it agree that they exist as a symbol of ever-expanding journeys and that there is always another destination to reach.
