It had been 6 hours since Ellie had disappeared into the abyss you called your guest bedroom and now Ellie's newly turned office. Her rooms grey walls were plastered in posters of a various games and bands she liked. LED lights ran around the ceiling, usually on the blue setting, sending the hue beaming out through the crack underneath the white paneled door.

Your small ginger cat was scratching irritably at her offices door. "Garfield stop it," you hissed at him, giggling at the ridiculous name Ellie chosen out for your chunky British shorthair.

"Garfield, I'm serious" you hushed at the creature, picking up the skittish chonk from Ellie's door. Garfield let out a loud, dramatic 'Yowww' throwing his head back. you sighed "You really want Ellie cuddles right now huh"

"meow"

"yeah, me too..." You looked at the beautifully majestic ginger chunk of a cat and sighed in pity for yourself. "Fine go in then..." You whispered at him, grabbing the brass handle and slowly nudging the wooden door ajar, letting Garfield scutter in enthusiastically, before shutting the door again.

Ellie was caught off guard as a fuzzy orange thing flung itself onto her lap, making her hands stop button smashing her keyboard angrily.

"Oh hey Garf"

User: Omg he's so cute 😭🥲

User1: Give me the baby. Now.

User2: Bro how did he get in here, didn't Ellie shut her door?

User3: Garf? As in garfield?

Ellie's hands grasped the cat turning him in a Simba like fashion towards the camera.

"This is Garfield, if you couldn't tell he has a super power to walk through walls" she joked, obviously realising that her chat was curious about how he got into the enclosed office.

User 4: He's fat

"Do not talk to my child that way." She snapped sarcastically, covering his ears with her palms "he's plump." She corrected before letting out a breathy laugh.

The cat began purring incredibly loudly, now laying across her keyboard vibrating the desk with every exhale of breath.

She picked up her phone discreetly, texting you a quick.

Ells: Gonna have to gaslight my chat into thinking our cat can phase through walls now.

Ells: Oh the things I do for you

You: He was being so annoying thoughhh

Ells: Garf is never annoying, he is perfect in everyway. You're just in denial.

You :🙄

User5: nah but how did it get in

User6: Ghostcat?!?!?

"Yes this is my ghost cat, it seems like he's going to chill with us for a bit.... Aren't you baby~?" she cooes at the purring creature scratching underneath his chin.

Just outside the closed office door, you were pacing back and forth. Shit... Why the fuck did you let the cat in her room, that was the stupidest shit you've ever done. Now everyone was going to know Ellie lived with someone. Then maybe they'll investigate, because some of her fans might be nutjobs. What if they dig something embarrassing up of you?!?

"shit, shit ,shit, shit, idiot, idiot, fucking idiot." Damn you and you're soft heart when it comes to cats.

"Y/N. Just forget it happened, go to bed sleep it off, yeah let's just... Sleep it off..." You mutter to yourself, sulking off to bed in defeat.

"Hey... Hey baby... Wake upppppp~~" she whines squishing your cheeks with her hand, stirring from your slumber. "Hmm hi Ells..."

At the confirmation you were awake she started peppering your face with kisses. "I made you coffee, I tried to make pancakes but I uh burnt them, so ughh toast?!" She smiles suspiciously giddy.

"oh thank you baby," you murmur back, slowly sitting up, back against the bed's backboard and begining to sip your coffee.

"I don't know how you can stomach that liquid, it tastes like shit."

"It is gross, but I can't physically function without it" you looked over at her, she was showing you puppy eyes. Suspicious.

"What did you do ells...?" You sighed

"Last night I may or may not have accidentally let it slip that uhh, I had a uh girlfriend." She stammered, smiling sheepishly at you " And I was wondering and you can obviously say no!! Like no pressure at all, but I was wondering if you feel ready yet to be introduced by my stream" she rushed out words practically incoherent, and if you didn't know her so we'll you wouldn't have been able to understand.

"you can even bring Garfield with you for emotional support!" She chirped happily.

"I don't know baby... I don't know if they'll like me, all my friends know me for being awkward on camera."

"Listen to me right now. You are the most amazing, beautiful, funny, charismatic and smartest girlfriend, person and mother to our fur baby to ever exist. If they don't absolutely love you then they're blind and have no taste. But they will absolutely love you! Because I love you!" She says enthusiastically, a stupid smile spread on her face as she wraps her arms around you, placing sloppy kisses onto your cheek.

"Pfft" you say, her enthusiasm and happiness seeping from her into yours "okay, I can do that...I think" "You will!!! You'll do amazing!" She squeals "I'm so excited!"

"Gosh, your like a puppy Ells" you chuckle, petting and playing with her hair. She let out a quiet 'hmph' as she nuzzled into your neck happily.

It was 6:55pm, Ellie had started her stream, the words 'STARTING SOON' sprawled across the monitor, blocking out the view of the viewers, It was unnerving, siting Infront of a camera, and one push of a button hundreds of people would see you. Ellie was sat next to you, swiveling on the dark blue gaming chair absentmindedly.

"y'know baby, you don't have to be so rigid, or quiet, they can't see or hear you yet."

"I can't do it Ells..." You mumbled out. "Hey babe, you absolutely can." she reassured you grabbing your hand, and squeezing it slightly. "How about this. You sit on the couch, out of view with Garfield, and once I've done the intro you can come say hi. Hows that sound?" She asked softly, tucking your hair behind your ear.

Nodding in conformation you shuffled out of view for the camera sitting next to your curled up cat, petting him as he purred loudly, pushing up against your palm. You tapped your phone screen, it lit up revealing the photo of you and Ellie in a photo booth on your first date to an arcade.

Infront of your smiling faces, the time was shown.

It took ten minutes for Ellie to finish the introduction, answering questions, thanking donators and talking to moderators.

"Right so, before we start I have a suprise for you guys" she spoke happily, eyes flicking towards you expectantly. You picked up Garfield, your heart immediately slowed and cradled him like a baby in your arms as you entered the frame.

Ellie had moved the extra chair from the frame, trying to keep the suprise as unexpected as she could for her chat. You stood somewhat awkwardly for a second or two saying a quick "hi" to the camera, you looked at Ellie eyes slightly wide with nerves.

She pats her thigh, gesturing you to sit down. "This chat, is my girlfriend"

Your eyes everted the chat, trying to focus solely on your cat and to not read the comments, when a robotic voice, you recognized as a donators announcement, caught you off guard.

First, Evan Buckley going to that grocery store hoping to run into the 118 but making no conscious thought about having an excuse for being there. Just gonna wing it in the moment. Classic Buck.

Crying into my tea on a Sunday morning... god, I am so touched by this, I'm just falling apart...

Let me respond to this sequentially, so I don't just get flooded with emotion (and if you've been watching how I post, you already know this is going to be long as fuck... Sorry! 🥲)

1. I am absolutely okay with NSFW blogs interacting with me, and spam interactions don't bother me at all! The only interactions I don't want are from minors and dickheads, haha. No worries on this, peach.

2. Fewer people interact with my fic than with my art, but when I tell you I treasure every single thing people say about my fic... god, there's just nothing like it. My fic is so, so close to my heart. I've been a writer much longer than I've been an artist, so I feel like I can really express myself through writing in a way I can't with art... I'm trying, but I'm not quite there yet! God, thank you so much for your kind words... I am so grateful that the warmth and love I feel when I'm writing is felt by others, too. I really try to capture the very essence of how these characters and their emotions feel in my mind and heart.

And you like the lore, too? 🥺 My long-winded rambling? My wordy expositions? God, my heart! 😭💙

3. I am so happy to know you met your partner in this community, too! I am really wishing the best for you, and yes, it absolutely can work out! My spouse and I are very different from each other, but we are still best friends after six years, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

4. I feel like this community tends to be younger, especially here on Tumblr, so it's kind of refreshing to hear from someone in the same phase of life as me. If there's anything I didn't expect, it's that I would still be exploring my feelings about tickling (and, well, intimacy as a whole) well into adulthood. It's funny how things come back around, though... I was making tickling doodles in my diary when I was just a kid, but I stopped (and, stopped drawing altogether, really) after high school. Had to work through a ton of shame, religious trauma, and just a metric fuckton of other shit, all to come right back around to doing tickling doodles again, haha! I was delighted to find that, at 30 (and with a whole lot of new experiences and context), it still makes me just as giddy now as it did then.

All of this is to say... There may be common threads throughout one's life, but we aren't really set in stone the way people think. You can absolutely discover, and rediscover, yourself and what brings you joy over and over again as you grow and have new experiences. If I can give any advice on this, it's this: Don't close yourself off. You only have this one life, so use it to experience all you can. Even if you're shy, like me... do your best to lend a kind word, an ear, or a hand as often as possible. You never know who, or what, is gonna set your soul on fire.

Oh, jeez. Ori, I have. SO MANY. Uhhhhh, buckle up??? 👀 I limited myself to 3 episodes per season but honestly this show has so many fun episodes!!!

Season One

s1ep1: Anne or Beast?/Best Fronds - Episode 1 does SUCH a great job at setting up the story and tone for the show imo! It leaves a lot of things purposefully vague (how did our protag end up in this wacky alternate world? who the hell is in that photograph? etc etc) to reveal as the seasons progress, which I really enjoy! AND you get introduced to the found siblings ever with Anne and Sprig 🐸 I love them so much! While I'm mostly referring to the first part here, Best Fronds does an excellent job at establishing their relationship and their perspective on what friendship means.

s1ep9: Lily Pad Thai/Plantar's Last Stand - Even though it's more of a filler episode, I really love how Lily Pad Thai explores Anne's Thai heritage! Very near and dear to my heart 🥺 Plantar's Last Stand is alright, too, but I much prefer the first half of this episode <3

s1ep20: Reunion - Emotional Damage The Episode. Things get! Dark! Would have reduced me to tears had I not had previous associations with the background music 🥲 Also. Sasha Waybright beloved there are so many things wrong with her <333

Season Two

s2ep6: Marcy at the Gates - Introduction to the third member of my favorite trio! Marcy is very, very adorable and endearing and seeing a reunion that goes more smoothly than. Reunion. Is very sweet 🥰

s2ep10: The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers/Day at the Aquarium - BOTH parts of this episode are so very good and I cannot possibly choose a favorite between them. The girlies getting up to hijinks in a castle late at night and bawling your eyes out when it's your last day in a place you've grown fond of <333

s2ep19: The Dinner/Battle of the Bands - Once again, I literally could not choose even if you held me at gunpoint. The Dinner is very fun and very awkward and it is SO fun to see all these characters finally interact in a (sort of) low-stakes situation. And Battle of the Bands is just plain, cheesy, Disney fun! Heartstomper and No Big Deal my beloveds 💗💙💚

Season Three

s3ep7: Spider Sprig/Oliva & Yunan - OAY. Hoooooo boy. I can not even BEGIN to imagine what it must've been like to watch this live but I hadn't gotten caught up to the release dates until the Christmas special lmao. Emotional Damage The Episode Part Three 👁 (part two was s2's finale, naturally). Everyone in this episode is having a Bad Time. Spider Sprig is. Not a favorite. Sorry.

s3ep11: Commander Anne/Sprivy - Commander Anne is a really neat exploration of Anne and Sasha's relationship as they navigate how to repair some things and also like. Lead the rest of their group without falling apart at the seams. Also the source of a certain meme, thanks to Sasha's gayass blushing 💗 Sprivy is,,, okay? I MUCH prefer the first half of this episode, though.

s3ep17: All In - This episode has everything. Heartwrenching quotes from the protagonists. Mass destruction of property. Kpop. Rupaul (unfortunately). The Photograph. The girls fighting ⚔️ (part ???). Very very fun. I'd also put The Hardest Thing in here but that would be breaking my little self-imposed rules so

hiiiii oh my gosh it's story time!! (I'm taking a very un-deserved break from grading tests to write this but sssshhhhhhh, no one need to know)

my school district was pretty large, so both my middle and high school were really big, so it's hard to say if there was one controversy that united everyone, since it was more like you would have your little circle and then within groups there would be controversies

for the crazy academic kids (which I was only a little involved with, but I had a friend who was much more personally affected), the ability to take AP Euro in sophomore year absolutely divided the group. like, those who took it became insufferable snobs and the fact that they were taking AP Euro became a Personality Trait and it was all they would ever talk about. my friend who was more involved called it a "cult," which honestly was pretty accurate. anyway, it totally wrecked that friend group bc the AP Euro kids were kinda mean to everyone else and had this weird superiority complex

oh and I don't think this was really all that much of a ~controversy~ but I will shout out my high school for being one of the first in the country to do a gender-neutral prom court/prom royalty. it was something we had to sign a petition for, but it passed, which was fantastic! so then instead of electing 10 women and 10 men, we just elected 20 people regardless of gender identity and the two with the most votes became the "royalty." courts and dances were something I had like negative 100 interest in, but I still think it was a great step and a really awesome message to send about inclusivity

honestly I feel like there has to be some other ones but I cannot think of them right now, so if any come to me in an epiphany, I will annoyingly send in another ask 😅

It's so true, finding the right therapist is very hard and sometimes we have to meet a lot of therapists before finding the right one 🥺 I always tell my friends that it is harder than finding your one and only person 😂 If you have doubts or there's a issue it's very hard though to figure out whether your therapist isn't really good for you, or if deep down you're trying to quit therapy because you don't want to face certain sore subjects, so unconsciously you tell yourself that the therapist is the problem when truthfully you are not ready to face serious issues. 🥺 That's why I kept sticking with mine, I wanted to be sure my struggles were about her, not me, and I wasn't trying to avoid digging into painful subjects. 😭 Therapy is very hard, which is why it takes a lot of courage to start this journey. When therapy is done well and properly it is painful, and discomforting, and sometimes unbearable and there's a lot of crying. If the times you leave your therapist's office feeling like shit and heartbroken are more than the times you leave their office smiling, it means that your therapist is a good one and they're scratching the right sore spots of your heart without being dismissive or patronizing, which is at the end what a good therapist should do. My professors (but especially my parents who are also therapists) always say that in a well done therapy will inevitably come a time when you'll start "hating" your own therapist for a reason or another. For some people and when certain disorders are involved there are more chances for it to occur, but in general is a possibility no matter how small for everyone who go to therapy to feel a little tense towards their therapist, and they take it into consideration. If it happens it's part of the recovery, a normal part of it. Sometimes it can be very hard to tell which one is the real reason. 😭 At least it was hard for me, I didn't want to run away from it and I was afraid that I could. 🥺 I've kept thinking about Arthur and his "I just don't want to feel so bad anymore", which was the moment that made me realize in the theater that he was my one and only person who can understand me the first time I watched the movie, and of how brave and strong he is, wishing to have even half of his strength 😭💙 But after all this time I think I figured out it's definitely not me the problem. I kept hanging in there for two years, I kept seeing her and kept trying. I think two years are enough to say I didn't run away. 😭 Now is the time to give myself the chance to feel okay the way I need. My therapist is very good academically speaking, I can tell she studied a lot and knows what she talks about, but her mindset and her approaches don't really fit with the kind of person I am. 🥲 I think I'm too sensitive for her kind of personality, maybe we see things differently, idk. A therapist before being a good therapist for you should be the good type of person for you, too, a person you can connect with on a human level. Mine is a good therapist, but not the right type of person for me. She's kind when we chat, and I don't think my time with her was completely waisted because she did help me for some stuff after all and now I'm also more aware of myself, but inside a therapy setting I can't vibe with her at all. She makes me feel like she invalidates my feelings and I don't feel understood nor comfortable, and this is not good at all, it's the foundation of what a good therapy shouldn't make you feel. 😭 I'm sure she's the right person for those who have a different sensitivity and personality than me though, and can be in tune with her! 🥺 I tried and did my best to face what needed to be faced and make it work, but now I have to be gentle with myself and give me the right environment to feel better. It's hard and scary but I have to do it 😭 ughhh I didn't plan on rambling so much I'm sorry 💀 thank you for listening to me and being always there for me, I'm always here for you too 😭💙 it might take me a while to reply but I'm always happy to listen to you and be there 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂

Gaaaaaah ok ok talk about the drama it's no big deal... 😳 😐 😢 I don't know why I'm struggling to talk about this, but um here we go. So we were texting. He was being his wonderful self and making sure I was doing ok. When I flipped the table and asked how his situation was going, and he said he was doing well. Then he asked if he ever actually told me what his situation was, and I said no. Now I assumed that it was the B drama (you know him liking her and her not liking him) but I didn't know that's what the situation was for sure and also it was true that he never actually told me. So then he goes oh I thought everyone knew and he tells me shock of all shocks that it was the B drama, except at this point he has only said that it was because of drama between him and B. He hasn't said what the drama was. Oh I should have just came clean then. Anyway I just kinda go oh that's too bad glad things are better now. But he decided to tell me what the situation was, he was like pretty much everyone knows so you might as well also. At this point I'm like ok this is fine a little untruth is something I can live with, but then he says "news travels fast I thought everyone knew already, but It restores my faith in humanity to know that's not the case" and the a second text reads "I don't like gossip" and im just kinda like 😶😶😶😶😶😶😳😳😳😳😳😳😟☹😥 I found out about the B situation because I was nosey and felt a little uncomfortable at the Idea of asking him about it and now I'm even more uncomfortable at the fact that I didn't just ask him about it. I went and got my friend, his friend. To go find out the gossip to tell me about it, to avoid a conversation with him.

And the thing is if he hadn't snuck those last comments in there about gossiping I probably would have just moved on from the conversation. Because I tell half truths and keep secrets all the time, and yet for some reason it's different, because it's him 🥲 and so now I'm debating coming Clean about the whole thing. In fact I think I could do it without revealing my feelings which would be the only thing I'm worried about. But I'm nervous and I just, oh dear why couldn't it have just been a simple crush?

agreed! i haven't read the manga yet because i want to appreciate the show for myself first— but i'm anticipating that he becomes one of those gray moral characters that are neither good nor bad. i'm doubtful that he'll completely transform into a nice person since that sounds like a weird idea... like- chishiya being a kind and warm person??? although not really plausible,, it's for sure an interesting thought now that i think about it.

actually, i was thinking about rewatching the series! i want to hear their voices again. though i'm definitely not excited to rewatch episode three again... karube and the others deserved so much better 💔 huhuhuhu

Anon, I need to buy a vowel because omg you're so sweet 💜😭 It really is easy to hate myself for all of this... especially when you throw major depression, anxiety, ptsd, etc. on top of it all. 🤦

There's so much confused humility in this whole equation for me, honestly, because I still can't actually pin down any truths concerning my identity. Am I really demisexual? Am I only using the label to try and make myself feel better about how undesirable I am/have always been to all other humans? Am I just afraid of being attracted to anyone because I was abused for so long? The imposter syndrome is at hull-breach levels these days, particularly now that it's Pride month. Do I even fit into any of the Pride categories? (I've never fit in anywhere else, so why start now?) I don't understand my gender, or my sexuality, or even the slightest thing about my place in the world. I've almost never been proud of anything I've ever done or been. I've never been comfortable in my body or mind. I've never had a legitimate "romantic relationship." I've never in my life felt that I was "enough," whether for family or friends or crushes or professors or employers... So am I attracted to this person because they at least appear outwardly to be so confident in their identity? Have I confused attraction with jealousy over their career, since they're succeeding at the "dream job" it took me 15 agonizing years to accept I was perfectly *un*suited for? Is it purely a physical thing, and I'm just being idiotic and shallow? Or... was the black hole gradually dissolving my will to live not large enough already, so the universe stepped in to mockingly remind me for the millionth time of all the beautiful types of experiences and relationships out there that I have for at least a decade been painfully, abundantly aware I'll never be able to have? I wish I knew.

All this considered, though, I love the content they post, I love all the positive energy and enthusiasm they bring to the fandom, and... the thought of them *not* being precisely who they are, *not* having their blog, or in any way *not* being their magnificent, authentic self is devastating. And for all the anguish of a crush, it is addicting/exciting to think about them and what they might be like in person, what the rest of their life is like outside of their blog, what it would feel like to be in their presence, etc. *sigh* Obviously I'm bad at the fantasizing thing, lol. (And besides not wishing myself on anyone, I also have no idea what their sexuality or relationship status is so... I feel weirdly guilty about that. 🥲) I blush just imagining making eye contact with them, having them run their fingers through my hair, holding my hand, smiling at me... SCANDALOUS!!! I feel like I should mark this as an explicit post now 😂🙊 It's so bizarre being touch averse and touch deprived all at the same time!! 🧠💥
