Watching this week's episode was fresh hell, having to relieve our best girl Nobara's death. But I'm still holding out hope she's alive. I'm hoping she did something to herself to carve out that piece that Mahito touched.
Because Nobara might be essential in the fight against Sukuna. Her technique Resonance touches the soul. It worked on Mahito. It doesn't just do physical damage.
And that linking-voodoo ability might be able to damage Sukuna without harming Megumi. Nobara could theoretically hammer Sukuna's finger, and hurt or even kill Sukuna's main soul. We saw that a battle of pure power can't take down Sukuna, so the best option would to be clever.
Nobara coming back after nearly dying to help kill Sukuna would be absolutely amazing. Or even to deliver that final blow. Just like all of the battles she fought with Itadori before, where Itadori fights full on, and she comes up behind with that kill shot.
Our girl is a strong one. Her technique is using nails to kill people. Her soul is made of iron. She will be just fine.

HOT TAKE TOURNAMENT!
PRELIMINARY #211
Tumblr media
Submission 778
guys please stop jumping the gun and making insane theory videos when things are literally just beginning to exist
i don't even know if this is even actually a hot take or even lukewarm but from the amount of theory videos and speculation posts and people just being so assertive in their ideas for things that LITERALLY JUST CAME OUT or got revealed (for things like tv shows and multi-part series, not things that are already complete when they come out. ALSO WHEN THINGS ONLY HAVE TRAILERS) im inclined to believe so, and im not necessarily talking about simple speculation on what could happen based on such im talking about FULL BLOWN THEORIES based on like 2 pieces of evidence grasping at straws and not waiting for any sort of further substance to back them up with their ideas. people are so impatient and i get it it's fun to think about something and form ideas to try and explain things that have or will happen. it's exhilarating to be able to be one of the first people to come up with an idea on something. but oh my god i just wish people could be patient instead of putting anything they think of out there on the internet, because 1. it just comes off as desperate for people to listen to you and 2. people can and will take such things at face value, and if they end up not being true later then that's going to leave a mark on whatever is being theorized about. i just want people to have a little more patience that is all i ask. this happens time and time again and im so TIREDDDD
*cough* Sorry, hairball.
Anyway, propaganda is always encouraged!
And remember to reblog your favourite polls for exposure!

I have a Fandom wide question, and I don't just mean the fandoms I circulate in. So if you see this, weigh in.
I remember fan days, weeks, and months. Fandom events in general where we all created our own works. Whether it be in fanfic, headcanons, edits, art, etc. It was something you, the individual, did. Nowadays it seems like people can't bother to create themselves and it's all just commissioned art.
Like. What happened?
I've been in and hosted so many events in my life and was fun to see everyone put in the work, it didn't matter how good your creative skills were it was the fact that you created something out of love for the character, series, or ship. Now, it feels like people just do the bare minimum sometimes by paying someone else for artwork. It's always gorgeous work it's just frustrating.
And I'm not saying everyone does this. I have seen many people share creative works. Using commission pieces for a fanevent use to be taboo. If memory serves quite a few events wouldn't even allow it if you didn't personally make it.

The parallels between Henry and his Dad (Simon).
I already made a post about this (it was my first one) talking about this very thing but i need to talk more about it because it's so interesting.
Henry and Simon have parallels between eachother. How you ask?
Neurodiversity.
In Simon's family. Simon was the "trouble kid" and Francis well.. wasn't. Simon was neurodivergent and Francis was neurotypical. I don't think their parents abused Simon but they sure didn't treat him as good as they did Francis.
Then we have Henry with the same thing. Henry's neurodivergent and Peter's "neurptypical" (he's probably not but thats besides the point).
Now Henry sure as hell got abused. Like watch the show and read the books. It's right there.
I don't know the reasons for the mum to be abusive. But I have reasons for Simon being abusive.
Trauma / internalized Ableism.
From Simon not getting the help he needed as a child and probably being treated badly from others for his neurodiversity. He probably has internalized ableist thoughts and stuff.
And also marrying a women who... is pretty ableist.. well he was kinda forced in that position.
Now that doesn't excuse the shit he did towards Henry but it gives you a understanding on why he did the stuff he did.
I don't know how (he sure as hell didn't get therapy), but he somehow got over his internalized ableism and started treating Henry right.
No like really, how? how tf did he get over it and learn n' shit?
Cartoon logic I tell you lol.
It is interesting is the fact that Henry got treated way worse than Simon probably did. It might be mostly from the mum but y'know.
Quotes from that other post but let me put it here;
"Simon wanted Henry to mask as a young child for Henry’s sake, so Henry would fit into society. Henry didn’t listen to that and didn’t mask. Simon in the later seasons has seemed to let go of that mindset towards Henry and maybe, towards himself."
"Simon treated Henry (the nd kid) the same way his parents did when he was a kid."
Dude probably used to mask and now not so much.
And like in the show it has been stated that as a child that Simon acted the same as Henry.
Well there's my fan theory. I just love their relationship and see how it evolved.

OK I SAW THIS THEORY IN THE COMMENTS OF THE NEW BALANCE AUDIO AND IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. (it's by @raspberri_myx6637)
🚨SPOILER WARNING🚨
The Sovereigns could use the deal with Brachium to make Hush. With everything we know about him, how he was "Put on Elegy for a reason" and that "He was put there for a purpose" AND also the fact that he has a BROTHER (sorta) THIS ALL LINES UP. With the deal that Brachium just accepted with the Sovereigns happening before we know about Hush (and presumably before he was created) in universe timeline it lines up very well. AND, Hush said that his brother wants to kill him because he is "Sacred of him because he is different" and "he's scared of what he might do" THAT COULD BE BRACHIUM TRYING TO STOP HUSH. The Sovereigns said specially that Brachium only had to follow one order from them, with that one order in this theory being used to create Hush through Brachium somehow, Brachium would no longer have to be obedient to the Sovereigns and he would most likely try to go after what they made him do while in the deal and try and stop it. That could be Hush and his purpose. (Also Hush's entire being being very very different to everything else that exists in the current world of redacted)
(Again credit for this amazing theory goes to @raspberri_myx6637 on YT)

Did they sneak us a Sonya? [MK1 spoilers/speculation]
Tumblr media
So I'm just gonna put alllll of the context and theorizing below the link for spoiler avoidance
This is out of Invasions. Here's the full image; this woman is right behind Nitara's wing, up in the top right corner.
Tumblr media
So it's... not Nitara, ostensibly. But it's light hair, and a face that... makes me think of someone else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, this is out of the intro to the Invasions mode. It could very well be an alternate timeline!Sonya, much like we get alternate!everybody, and *not* the "in this timeline" one. But they've been so fucking conspicuous about NOT showing her ANYWHERE... I can't think of what other female character this could be.
and also pictured in that shot?
Tumblr media
is that a Kano?

My friend asm5129 (that's his Tumblr URL) had an idea regarding a recently-introduced character, and I thought you'd like it: "If i were RTD id seriously fuck with the fans by making Mrs. Flood a post-Missy, fully changed Master living their last life in retirement & making meaningful connections & memories. It pays Missy’s arc off while also creating a lot of wiggle room for Masters that are more complex & anti-hero-esque AND Masters that are more classically cruel. It would make it an interesting reveal as to why maybe she stole the gold tooth: it's literally her in there! Not a real theory, just something I personally would do."
Tumblr media
I will fully admit, this was the first thing I wondered when she seemed suddenly so knowledgeable about the Doctor and TARDIS, and then spoke directly to the audience.
I guess a part of me hopes it's not the case only because that would imply that it took the Master until the end of their life to begin down a healing path. But it would be very Davies and it would make sense.

I have some very vague theories about Wolfram and Guntram. Like, there's two of them, right? In the beginning of the story, Ivy announces that she and Corvus are having a baby, and then later when Morrigan visits Crow Manor on the Gossamer, she finds out, Oh, hey, it's actually twins! I don't know for sure how or why it's significant, but I just get the feeling that it is. Jess could have left it being just one baby. But no, she made a point of it being two. And they're identical. Maybe I'm way off, but I don't remember ever reading any fiction story with identical twins where said twins didn't fool people as each other, or were even used against their will to fool people that they were the other twin. Is that what's coming down the pike with Wolfram and Guntram? Will one be evil and the other one good? Would a Witness be able to see that even despite their physical appearances being identical? I have so many questions.

My Theory on Yor and Yuri parents
I believe that Yor and Yuri parents were members of Garden and that the two were killed during a mission gone wrong. Which could explain Yor near-superhuman physical prowess and their odd train of thought.

I find it kinda scary how quickly misinformation (or speculations presented as facts) get spread around. Like yesterday I saw someone say JK had a back tattoo and the proof was a clip of JK putting a shirt on in the SWZ dvd, and soo many people just took it and ran with it without checking or anything (e.g. We saw his naked back in LA w/o a tattoo + in the clip it was just his shoulder). It's even worse with a certain subgroup, I clicked on a trend once and saw one of the bigger posts was a clip from 2014 or something and they completely changed the translation to indicate jealousy even saying "awww baby's jealous" or something. And when called out for spreading misinfo they just said "they all know it's fake" as if the people liking and commenting etc weren't all screaming about how "cute baby X was being all jealous". And i'm sure these people who saw this will never realise that the translation was incorrect. It just scares me sometimes and I see it in all parts of the fandom like even a big OT7 account thinking that JK genuinely said "My relationship with TH is not for the cameras" simply cause "they saw it on the tl". So many people see things, and run with it and accept it as fact before any kind of checking and its frustrating.
Yes, I think for sure that's one of the big problems in this fandom. I think everyone who has come into the fandom at any time has come across a thousand and one theories that are presented as truth and if the person doesn't take the time to look for more information that support that theory, they will believe it. One of them is for example the meaning of Jungkook's tattoos. According to this theory the word ARMY plus the J tattooed on his hand also represents the initials of the members, this is a theory created and spread by the fandom but after a short time, it became THE truth about JK's tattoos. Jungkook has never said if those tattoos have any other meaning than what they literally read. But the fandom doesn't care, they said it also means the names of the boys and that's it. And many argue that this is the truth. That's why I ended up banning that discussion on my blog, sorry for bringing it up. But the same thing happens with a lot of little theories and big theories at the same time. And my goodness, in the ship community there are too many of them. I am a lawyer so I have always likened this to what is known in law as customary law. Which is basically an established pattern of behaviour of a society or social group that over time became accepted and practised by that society or social group. In this fandom, there are many theories that became customary law. That's why it's important to watch original content, to avoid the infamous analysis videos as much as possible. That's why it's important to research, to find yourself the real and reliable source of anything regarding the group but many don't do that for different reasons one of them is that what they hear fits the narrative they have created or decided to believe, like the examples you give. It's sad and scary at the same time that it happens. Many people behind a small or large account don't know the power they have and others do and don't use it for good things. I think we have seen that more than once. I have seen it more than once in the little over a year that I have been here.

The conundrum with fandom and fan spaces and fan theories is this:
Authors spend so much time crafting nuanced stories, full of layered characters. Characters who sometimes stumble more than they soar. Characters who soar under false pretenses. Sometimes, at the center of it all is an allegory to how we humans are just messy meat bags of mostly water and nerves, and how we can get it so right one second and all wrong the next second, and sometimes none of it matters and sometimes all of it matters.
Fandom, however, lives in a world that is only EVER black and white. They wouldn’t know or understand the grey areas if they all collectively fell out of the sky, landed on their face, and wiggled. So they come up with these theories that get wilder by the second in order to force their favorite characters into these very neat and clearly labeled and defined boxes, and they end up discarding everything that hurts, or is too blinding. Everything that makes the character and the story INTERESTING. Even worse, they end up getting mean, lashing out at other fans and even more egregiously, at the authors and creators for not also putting the character/story into their neat, clearly defined and labeled box. I wish I could find better words for how unhinged, inappropriate, and disrespectful that behavior is.
If nothing else may this be a reminder that there is far more to be gained by just silently sitting back and letting the story unfold how it’s meant to.

ok so a friend told me that there's a theory out there saying that maude ivory could be katniss' grandmother, but i had a different idea. hear me out. lucy gray and corio are actually katniss' and prim's grandparents, but corio doesn't know that. even though we don't see the characters do anything on screen (or in the book i'm pretty sure), it could be possible that lucy gray had a baby after "vanishing"; either giving life to the mother of katniss and prim. the reason corio wouldn't know is because of the fact that she escaped, and just assumed that....... well, y'know, she.... didn't have a (his) baby? very cliché, but that's probably why the katniss plant was so important in the film and book. kind of setting the stage ig. and, the hanging tree also being used as a connection between the two, something passed down from generations. i'm sure there's a lot that i missed, and i'm also sure that i wasn't the first person to put this out there, but it was just bugging me and i had to get it out of my system.

Ok! So, I had this great headcannon about HoSaB:
What if ancient High Lords are the princes of hell and Bryce was taking to the ancestors of the HLs!
Like seriously tho, think about it. When they enter the room their power fills it. It’s briefly mentioned that one of them has fire magic, one of them has ice magic, one has the power of darkness. What if the others have the other powers.
They beat the Asteri, but what if in their world the Asteri were known as the death lords, and true immortals, and they rules the world during the Wild Hunt!
Just a late night though. Just think about it for a minute.
