An anti-transgender US Congress Senate Bill mentions DID

The site LegiScan.com is for tracking US legislation. It lets you arrange to receive email alerts for whether any new bills use keywords you're interested in. It recently notified me of a new one that mentions Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), which is a form of plurality.

General info about the bill and its main purpose: US Congress Senate Bill 2394 is for opposing the rights of transgender youth. This bill is harmful for human rights. Four Republican Senators introduced the bill on July 19, 2023: Sen. Tom Cotton (Arkansas), Sen. J.D. Vance (Ohio), Sen. Josh Hawley (Missouri), and Sen. Marco Rubio (Florida).

How the bill also involves plurality: The mention of DID happens once, on page 2, line 25: "... regardless of any medical diagnosis or indication of gender dysphoria, body dysphoria, dissociative identity disorder, or social anxiety disorder." You can see this line in the PDF of the bill as it was introduced.

These two are pretty much the same, but Algophobia one has more angst potential than just "Pain-sensitive"

This thing sounds just so hilarious in my head, imagine after MC does something bad Lucifer wants to punish them, but then he remembers that this human uses cooking gloves to drink coffee because "its way to hot" and ends up with existential crisis because all of his punishments will turn Pain-sensitive MC into dust😭

I saw a lot of ppl headcanoning that demons are like "well, humans are fragile and easily will die!" and starting to think that human is dying when they broke a bone. Thats funny, but imagine what would happen if it ACTUALLY were like that. Mammon wants to get MC to the casino, but then sees how they slip and fall to their knees and the crying because "FFFFF MY KNEEEEES HURT😭😭😭" And he is just like..."Damn, bro, how u live like this" and ends up way to afraid to bring them to the casino bc of "eeevil demons that would eat them!".

Also i imagine that Levi would do something similar, but, lets agree that him asking MC to go somewhere is an impossible scenario. I think he will do a good job tho.

Satan and MC hanging out in the garden with cats and this dude, who can easily broke the entire house if he gets angry, casually watching this piece of human struggling to pet a cat bc of their shaking hands. "Come on, just pet it, u got it, MC." "but cats have claws and claws are paaaainful!!!!"

Asmo is probably the only one who will have no problem with that, lol. This dude loves saying about being gentle. Yeah, not surprising that i simp for him. But dynamic between Devildom's biggest slut and a Human, who never kissed with anyone because "well, if i am kissing someone, I can't tell if the person is not gonna get a knife a d won't stub me! and stubbing ppl is painful!" sounds hilarious.

Beel is a big cinnabun, we all can agree. But yhis cinnabun is so big, that it can easily hurt MC accidentally! Even average people often cause ain-sensitive MC pain, and someone as big and strong babyboy like Beel? Damn, poor big man and MC, who waits for hot food to cool down for 15 minutes before eating it because "hot food is painful!"

Belphegor probably will do okay.. i mean, if we ignore 16 lesson.. he is pretty gentle boy so i guess he won't do anything bad. But, i can still imagine how this dude might hurt MC in his sleep and when wakes up and sees them, ouch-ing and rubbing their cheek, because "you were asleep and accidentally hit my cheek.." while this dude was just changing his sleeping pose.

So you can make something fluffy with brothers trying to not-hurt Pain-sensitive MC accidentally, you can do it in memes, you can do some angst with Algophobia. You can do whatever you want, i give the idea, you use it if you want!~

The first word Atsumu’s little girl says, is a swear word.

It’s not like he was actively trying to get her to swear, honest! If anything, you’d been trying to get her to say either mumma or dadda, jingling toys in her face to encourage her, calling each other such nicknames (the jackals have an absolute field day with it) for her to recognize, but she was not budging. She’d merely giggle or blink confused at the two of you being wildly dramatic in your actions.

And sure, he should’ve been more careful, but it’s all ‘Samu’s fault!

Well. According to Atsumu, anyways.

“You sure you should be walkin’ around with her while you call me?” Osamu asks, his own phone propped on the register while he counts the receipts from the lunch rush. “I’ll be over in a minute anyways, and you’re not the most… agile.”

“Who you callin’ not agile!” Atsumu whines, scrunching his face up as his little girl paws at his cheeks. “Name one time when I wasn’t agile!” When Osamu opens his mouth to speak, Atsumu cuts him off with a quick “don’t answer that” and a small scowl.

“‘Tsumu, if you can spell agile-“

“I don’t get paid to spell, let alone for free, for you.”

“I’m just sayin’ you’re a little clumsy ‘s all,” his brother defends, stapling the receipts all together. “And I’d hate to have to text your wife that you dropped the baby, while tryin’ to tell me you’re not clumsy.”

“I’m so hurt you think so low of me,” Atsumu whines. “I’m just carrying my kid around, what’s the worst-“

Before he can finish his sob story, a loud THWAK! rings out in the room, so loud it even causes Osamu to look up; he slow smirk curls on his lips, and a smug ‘you okay?’ falls unsympathetically, while Atsumu’s face pales, and he sinks his teeth into his lower lip. It wobbles in pain, and his eye twitches to try and hide the tears that well in his waterline, and who the fuck decided to put a coffee table right there anyways-

“FFFFF-UCK!” The blonde screams, eliciting squealy giggles from his daughter, and deep chuckles from his traitor of a brother. “O-oh my God, what the fuck! Jesus Christ, I thought we’d moved this fuckin’ thing!”

His body fills with nausea as he struggles to not burst into tears in front of his brother, his child still laughing with absolutely no remorse or sympathy, that little monster. Slowly, and with a grunt of pain with every step, Atsumu limps over to the couch, setting his child and phone down to cradle his possibly broken toe. Osamu, still wheezing from his laughter, merely rolls his eyes as he listens to his brother struggle, a sigh to further calm himself easing past his lips.

“Jeez, dude, ya stubbed your toe, how bad could it-“

“Shut the fuck up, I feel like I’m going to puke!” Atsumu snarls, panting and groaning in pain. “I think I fuckin’ broke it-“

“Oi, watch your mouth-“

“Oh, what, ya think your niece is finally gonna fuckin’ say her first word, we’ve been trying to get her to fuckin’ say something for the past fuckin’ eight months-“

“Fffahk!” The toddler parrots, with absolute perfect timing. Her tiny eyebrows furrow, as if the word feels strange on her tongue, and if Atsumu thought he was going to puke before, now the bile was actually rushing up his throat. Osamu cackles on the other end, his face red and body squirming as he laughs freely, hands even coming down to smack his leg. This, in turn, causes his niece to pick up Atsumu’s phone and look at her uncle, cooing happily at the sight.

“Oh my god, I needed that today, whew!” He wipes a tear from his eyes as Atsumu slowly brings the phone up to his face, still pale but only now because his child said her first word, and it was so far from the words he’d wanted her to say.

“Oh I’m so divorced-“

“Oh, you so are.”

“Uh… what do I gotta pay you to not tell my wife, your best friend and the love of my life about this?”

“Oh, trust me ‘Tsumu,” osamu begins with a sigh, grabbing his phone to head to the kitchen and make his twin his promised lunch. “There is not a thing you could pay me that could keep me quiet from this.”

“‘Samu please, be merciful, I don’t ask ya for much-“

“Okay, now that’s funny.”

Sure enough, just a minute later, his phone buzzes with a text from you, excitedly asking what your two year old’s first word was.

“OSAMU!”

“Osss…mu!”

“Oh now you start talking.”

Loved that you gave Lizzie backstory in your fics. Do you reckon she will be alright with how S6 ended? I'm truly heartbroken for her and need closure

My opinion/headcanon on how she is after S6 depends on what we think happens after Tommy disappears. Like, if he simply disappeared, then he reappears at some point...I mean, I do imagine they divorce, this is not a marriage, but I also think Lizzie would probably find her feet? And that she and Tommy would be relatively amicable if not necessarily friends/in a relationship? She's got a significant position in the company now and there's every sign she would continue, especially if she becomes Charlie's primary parent figure.

But if we imagine Tommy's disappearance was reported as a death, and Lizzie hears and believes he died - and given the circumstances, even if Arthur tells Lizzie that Tommy was sick, it's still *clearly* a suicide - I think Lizzie takes it much, much harder. She was his carer in the end, in that broken way they had, and when she couldn't take his self-harm and the way it fell on her in the end, she left him - triggering his son to leave him - only to find out a few weeks, maybe months after her “abandonment” (1) of a man that she knew was unstable, had been suicidal, was taking extreme inexplicable murderous/sexual actions, was having seizures - that Tommy then committed suicide all on his own? I do not imagine she copes well *at all*, especially with how she'd adopted that job/role/mantle of his carer/calmer/safety line. (<- This second/worse scenario is more what I like to play in with fic, and I have bits and pieces of story planned. No matter her past pragmatism about the impact of his behaviours, this is the first time she walks away from Tommy ever — and he kills himself? Fffff the rage and hurt and despair and *rage*…and when he reappears, my goodness, times it all by 1000)

Generally, though, I don't know if the show ever intends to gives closure. I sort of like that? In some ways it feels a bit more realistic, yanno? Closure's a bit of a fabrication in the real world.

I do like to speculate that in either scenario, Lizzie takes all of Tommy's money and legal authority and businesses, and changes her name back to Stark; Charlie decides to go by Charles Burgess and reverts the name of the foundation to the Grace Burgess Foundation; Duke never changes his surname from his mother's surname; when Ada hits politics she of course goes by Ada Thorne. (And Linda returns herself and Billy to her maiden name, and Shelby Co has no more Shelbys on the board ->) So the name Shelby lives and dies with Tommy and Arthur alone. (And the gin distillery goes bankrupt probably)

So I suppose we could speculate Lizzie gets something out if it? CEO/Queen at last. But not closure…

Exactly! It’s the digital age for the LA truthers always hemming and hawing about when is she going back to LA. When she needs to go back! Like what in LA does she need to do that she can’t do in London? A photo shoot? Photographers and cameras are in London. A production meeting? Sam got a laptop. A script can be sent to her email and she can read on her iPad. Her agents can call her. The core four of Darnell, Zink, Law and her can have team meetings on Zoom. Y’all want her to be working and back in LA cause y’all think it’s going to get her away from Tom. rune was very briefly a pink witch before going tits out cowboy at an alarmingly speed (shit actually i need to draw more cowboy)

i will always find it funny how fast i also went from drawing like steven universe and cute magical girls to "i will now only draw my scrunkly as shit elf. they are literally the only thing i want to draw" and i've learned so much from that lol

i think it was literally like a month between cute witch and fantasia thoughts fffkfflff (that art is from like june, so here's a more recent one cause i love comparisons :D )

for those with wols/ocs that have names that don't follow their race's naming conventions: why did you choose that name?

rune is an alias they chose to avoid being tracked after leaving sharlayan, only to later find out no one had enough interest in their research to warrant finding them :| but they liked it so it stuck

they do have a proper elezen name but i keep changing it cause i'm indecisive, but also they'd only use rune around most people anyways so it's fine fffff someone says they're good at inscribing runes one time and they make it their whole thing

ooc reason is cause i name all my game characters some variant of rune aren after my first skyrim character so i don't spend 6 hours on the character create screen and i didn't think i'd like playing enough to worry about a lore compliant name OTL

I had rune around 30, then I mathed a bunch figuring out how long it took jannequinard and leveva to learn astromancy, and serendipity goldsmithing, how old they'd be at the sharlayan exodus, and how long it'd take to become an archon...to end up at 30 again OTL

Lumi is 32 and had a similar thing but figuring out how old she'd have to be to have a red mage stone, and training in a bunch of fields. I've been thinking she should be a little older though...

Other than you wol(oc)’s current hair color, what color would they dye it?

rune naturally has greyish brown hair, they get the top bleached, this is an excuse for me to show them with their hair grown out lol

I've tried them with yellow before which worked surprisingly well, they'd try any colour as long as it keeps the two-tone

what does your wol/oc think about archon loaf? are they from sharlayan? was 5.3 the first time they tried it?

rune is sharlyan. unfortunately. they love it. even after leaving they still eat it when they wanna work instead of make real food. eating a proper meal will make them sob with how nice it tastes, then later they're back to eating the stupid loaf again.

their mum grew up near gridania and makes a somewhat nicer version without the fish. it still has most of the uh- qualities of a traditional archon loaf though
